In the early 1980s, brothers Bob and Todd Urosevich founded ES&S’s originator, Data Mark. The brothers Urosevich obtained financing from the far-Right Ahmanson family in 1984, which purchased a 68% ownership stake, according to the Omaha World Herald. After brothers William and Robert Ahmanson infused Data Mark with new capital, the name was changed to American Information Systems (AIS). There is an aspect to the Mel Gibson controversy that many people are overlooking. Mel, even though I feel he is historically wrong, showed a great deal of personal courage making this film, knowing it was going to upset people with a great deal of influence in the motion picture industry. Such courage is rare, very rare, in Hollywood, and even though we may not agree with the thesis that the Jews killed Jesus, we should applaud and encourage artists who risk greatly to put their viewpoint on the silver screen, and oppose those self-appointed censors who think we are so weak minded that a single film will control our minds and make us think thoughts they do not want us to think.
When all else is said and done, Mel has proved that he is a man with the courage of his convictions, and he deserves our respect on that point.
The outcry against Gibson reminds me of a line from the film "Spartacus", when Spartacus says, "When one man says 'no', Rome starts to fear." Hollywood, and indeed all of the US Mainstream media has for too long obeyed the dictates of a small minority over what stories may or may not be told to the public, with the recent story of Captain Boston's revelations about USS Liberty again illustrating how obedient the mainstream media still is to those vested interests.
But Mel has said, "No". and the vested interests certainly act like they are afraid.

I am going to repeat my comment from yesterday. In a free society, everyone has the right to say, write, sing, or make movies, of anything they think is important. You, the audience, are free to either see, read, or hear the work, or if you prefer, equally free to go find something else to do. In a free society people are also free to disagree with the content of that work (as in this case I do) and voice their disagreement.
But in a dictatorship, works are banned from being shown. The choice to experience a work, or not experience it, even the choice to agree or disagree with the content, are removed from the people and reserved to the dictators.
So, dictatorship is clearly what this newly-formed group is after, much as they have created in Canada where Ernst Zundel, who has never committed a crime, is in jail because he questions the accuracy of certain claims made by the self-appointed dictators.
Do we want that sort of thing here in this country, where other people decide for us, based on their own self interest, what we should see or not see, where truth is itself has become a crime punishable by prison?
The Founding Fathers fought a revolution, and their grandsons and great grandsons fought two world wars for the principle that no government or special elite group could tell the rest of us what to say, think, or do. We dare not cast aside so lightly what they paid for so dearly.

The documents from the Army inquiry reveal that a Lt. Col. Philip Zack was recorded by a surveillance camera entering the lab at 8:40 pm on January 23, 1992 (Zack, no longer employed there, had left Fort Detrick in December of 1991 over the allegations of harassment towards Dr. Assaad, as we have already seen). Apparently, he had been let in by a close friend, Dr. Marian Rippy, who testified, "I can tell you, there was no suspicious stuff going on there with specimens." Of course, contrary to Dr. Rippy's claim, it seems quite apparent that there had, in fact, been a considerable amount of "suspicious stuff" going on at the lab.
