To understand Bill Kristol, you have to examine his modus operandi – his devious ways of plying a nefarious art. Bill Kristol is a master neocon, a heartless warmonger and an accomplished charlatan. But Bill Kristol works behind the curtain. He sets the stage and pulls the strings, while others do his dirty work. And Bill Kristol, with little fanfare or publicity, is one of the most influential architects of George W. Bush’s wars.

In Kurdistan, Mossad Gets in Washington's Way...
In French.
Title: In Kurdistan, Mossad is is an embarassment to Washington, by G.M. in Le Figaro International, 28 Sept 2005. Resumed after the war which drove Saddam Hussein out of power in Baghdad in 2003, the secret security co-operation between Israelis and Iraqi Kurds was put to a crushing stop these last few months, under Washington's influence. After Jalal Talabani's (the Kurdish leader) nomination to the presidency of the Republic of Iraq in spring 2005, "a conflict of interest appeared between the two allies", estimates an expert in Middle East safety. "In order not to be criticized by the Shiites and the sunnites," he adds, "the new Head of the State Talabani could not allow the further development of a relationship that is condemned by the immense majority of the Iraqis. The Kurdish two-sided-game was stopped." Since then, some of the Israeli agents sare believed to have left the north of Iraq. Apparently, there would remain only one hundred of them, and Israeli businessmen practically only act through Kurdish or Jordanian intermediaries. The conflict had however helped to tighten the partnership between Mossad, the Israeli secret service, and the Kurdish leadership, who combined their effort in thirty years struggle against the nationalist regime of Baghdad. Israel wanted to support the Kurds' federal aspirations and contain the Iranian influence over Iraq. "After the hostilities, the Israelis, anxious to see thousands of so-called Iranian pilgrims entering Iraq, tried in vain to convince the Americans to close the border between Iran and Iraq", explains Patrick Clawson, deputy manager of the American research center "The Washington Institute for Near East Policy". But the United States, willing to preserve their relationship with their Iraqi Shiites allies, refused to act. The Israelis then decided to take matters in their own hand. In Erbil and Souleymanieh, Israeli instructors, often disguised as businessmen, were charged to improve the training of the pechmergas, the Kurdish militiamen. Beginning of 2004, approximately 1,200 agents either from Mossad or from the Israeli military intelligence operated in Kurdistan, according to French military estimates. Their mission was to set up sufficiently strong Kurdish commandos that could effectively counter the Shiites militia in the South of Iraq (that are more or less manipulated by Teheran), in particular that of the troublemaker Moqtada Al-Sadr. The Kurdish leaders returned the favor by making positive declarations. Last 6 June, Massoud Barzani, of the democratic Party of Kurdistan, estimated that a relation with Israel "is not a crime since the majority of the Arab countries maintain the relationship" with the Hebrew State. Kurdistan' mountains have always been filled with spies. "The presence of many people in this area, autonomous since 1991, makes it possible to the Israelis to recruit agents which will infiltrate other organizations", declared the former boss of a European intelligence service. Today, the Kurdish priority to infiltrate the new Iraqi army, directed by one of their own, serves the Israeli interests. Through its alliance with the Irqai Kurds, the Hebrew State has reinforced its monitoring on Iran and Syria, its two great enemies in the Middle East. But Israeli actions ended up disturbing Washington. "We've received strong pressure from Washington to stop our operations with the Kurds", said an Israeli sent to Erbil under cover of being a student. "the Americans do not agree any more with the Israeli plans", he affirms. Washington does not seem to tolerate anymore this presence that threathens its interests. - M. R. FCC Releases Orders for Internet Backdoor Wiretap Access...
This will do nothing against real criminals and terrorists, who know not to use open communications systems. This is about spying on ordinary citizens, often for personal gain by the US Intelligence Operatives. A classic example of this was the bugging of the Seattle APEC conference. Done using taxpayer dollars, the information gleaned from convention attendees was not used for law enforcement but was fed to favored political cronies to enhance their business. FBI agents have been caught using the "take" from bugging business executives to make a profit in the stock market. With an automatic open door to all internet traffic, the people at those spy-terminals will be in a position to become rich off of YOUR business communications.

"Better they should kill each other than us!" -- Official White Horse Souse - M. R. "They wanted intel," said a sergeant, one of the ordinary, untrained grunts pressed into duty as interrogation muscle. "As long as no [captives] came up dead, it happened. We kept it to broken arms and legs" -- sometimes with baseball bats, and occasionally augmented by scalding naked prisoners with burning chemicals. The soldiers learned their "stress techniques" from CIA interrogators, dropping into Iraq from their "unleashed" torture centers in Afghanistan, Diego Garcia and points unknown.
... and another point that should not be forgotten. After years of torturing captives, the US Government has failed to find a single Iraqi weapon of mass destruction, or a single perpetrator of 9-11. It is now admitted that Iraq did not have weapons of mass destruction, so the US has been torturing people who cannot have the information demanded; a familiar image for you Kafka fans. And in light of the equivalent failure with regard to 9-11, it is clear that the US has been torturing the wrong people.
In other words, the US has been TORTURING INNOCENT PEOPLE TO DEATH. How will that look in the history books? - M. R. Knight Ridder has found that a lack of oversight, generous contracting deals and poor planning mean that government agencies are shelling out as much as 10 times what the temporary fix would normally cost.

The AIPAC scandal could (and should) bring down the US Government, because the issue isn't really what information flowed from Larry Franklin to AIPAC, but what DISinformation flowed from Israel, through AIPAC, to Larry Franklin, in the office of Special Plans, there to be issued as the now discredited claims about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction that sent this nation to war.
It is for this reason that the US Government has worked to protect Israel's spy ring. Israel and the US were equal partners in creating these wars. The head of Dutch Railways apologized for the company’s role in deporting Jews during World War II.
So when do we hear the head of the airlines flying captured Arabs to places where they can be tortured apologize for what they are doing right now?
I mean, let's get real here. The people running the Dutch Railroad today were not running it in the middle of the last century. More than likely they had not even been born yet. It is the crassest political pandering to demand apologies from people who did absolutely nothing. But for people not trapped in the past, the people running the airlines TODAY helping the US carry out its policy of torture TODAY, well, they ARE the guilty parties. Back then, my son was promised a twenty thousand dollar signing bonus. He only got four thousand dollars of that when he finished his advanced training. He was promised a laptop, so he could take classes from wherever he was deployed in the world. He never got that. They promised him he could finish college because he only had one year left when he went in the Army. They would never let him take a class. They promised him he could be a chaplain's assistant which was what he really wanted to do; but, when he got to boot camp, they said that was full and he could be a Humvee mechanic or a cook. So he chose Humvee mechanic. The most awful thing the recruiter promised him was: Even if there was a war, he wouldn't see combat because he scored so high on the ASVAB [Career Exploration] tests. He would only be in war in a support role. He was in Iraq for five days before he was killed in combat.
The courts have already ruled that the government cannot be sued for promises made by recruiters which are not kept. They can promise kids anything at all, and too bad if the recruit never gets what is promised. This little fact of military life is something every parent needs to hammer into their kids' brains before they are ever allowed out of the house. The recruiters can and will lie to you to get you to sign up.

INTELLIGENT DESIGN...
It had been long known to the Iraqis, to the Arabs, and to all Moslems in countries bordering Iraq that the majority of the terrorist attacks in Iraq, especially car bombing, are perpetrated by covert British, American, and Israeli operatives. It is also well known to them that the terrorist Abu Musab Al Zarqawi and his “Al-Qaeda in Iraq” are just inventions of the coalition forces to justify their existence. More and more evidences are coming out of Iraq to support this fact. The arrest of two undercover British SAS operatives last week, disguised as Arabs trying to plant a car bomb in the middle of Basra during the Karbala Festival, which draws as many as 3 million pilgrims to the city, is just the latest of such revelations.

Ever since New Orleans I have seen what appears to be a concerted effort to fan racial tensions in this country. At first I thought it was merely to cast the Victims of the hurricanes as unsympathetic, in order to deflect anger from Bush for slashing flood control funding to pay for his illegal war in Iraq. But as Bennett's idiocy proves, that campaign to fan the flames of race hate is still continuing, and I think i know why. Right now George Bush knows that the country is starting to hate him and the government that backed his lies. Bush is trying to figure out a way to declare martial law. Race riots in multiple cities would provide such an excuse, and even better, the Neocons would feel safer if they can trick the American people into fighting each other, instead of uniting to fight a corrupt and illegal government that continues to lie us all into wars. So, you think about this as you see more and more media efforts to pit one race against the other. It's just another government scam against We The People. Lester M. Crawford's wife has told family members that an unintentional failure to disclose financial holdings prompted his sudden resignation as commissioner of food and drugs last week, her brother said yesterday.
"If evolution was part of the biology curriculum, creationism should be shared 50-50," Callahan quoted Bonsell as saying.
Religious people have churches to teach whatever dogma they wish. Those churches even have generous tax breaks. But science classes are for teaching the facts of science, not politically expedient mythologies. We see the buy-bull bangers railing on about fairness in the classrooms, but none of them would give equal time to Darwin within the walls of their churches.
Going to court to enforce the teachings of the Bible sets mankind right back in the dark ages, when Giordano Bruno was burned at the stake for saying that the stars were just other suns, only further away, and that they probably also had planets. They call the Dark ages that name for a reason. Theocracy blindfolds the people to make them helpless. And I note that the buy-bull bangers most intent on establishing a theocracy here are the same ones who condemn the same system in the nations of the Middle East. - M. R. Russert, who we can't count on to go after people that need to be mercilessly questioned, decided it'd be a good idea to have Broussard back on and get him to tackle the question of who did the abandoning in the story he told.
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.) sent his budget director, Bill Hoagland, who cautioned that federal Katrina spending might not exceed $100 billion. But John Clerici, from a law firm that helped sponsor the event, told the group that spending would "probably be larger" than $200 billion. "It's going to be spent in a fast and furious way," Clerici said.
A Texas grand jury's recent interest in conspiracy charges could lead to last-minute criminal indictments _ possibly against House Majority Leader Tom DeLay _ as it wraps up its investigation Wednesday into DeLay's state political organization, according to lawyers with knowledge of the case.
The first commandment of governing is Thou Shalt Not Steal the People's Money. Ronald Reagan came into office in 1980 on the mantra that he would rid the nation of Waste, Fraud and Abuse. He proceeded to raise the national deficit by $2 trillion with tax cuts and spending on the military in the face of a collapsing Soviet Union. This led to the peppy military procurement scandals of the late '80s and early '90s -- the $435 hammer and the $640 toilet seat.
The stories were told by residents trapped inside the Superdome and convention center and were repeated by public officials. Many news organizations, including The Associated Press, carried the witness accounts and official pronouncements -- and in some cases later repeated the claims as fact, without attribution.
But now, a month after the chaos subsided, police are re-examining the reports and finding that many of them have little or no basis in fact. As I observed at the time, someone was planting these stories with the probable intent of making the victims of Katrina unsympathetic as a means to control the outrage over the fact that Bush cut the funding for flood control in Louisiana to pay for his illegal war.

Bush doesn’t have to fear congressional impeachment, but he’s being subjected to a de facto impeachment by public opinion. And he knows it. He knows he is no longer top gun and the only mission he can accomplish these days is that of hanging on by his political teeth. That’s quite an ego demotion for a man who once fancied himself the Anti-FDR and global dragon slayer of historic note.
High Gasoline Prices Blamed for Record-High Past-Due Credit Card Payments...
60 cents of every gallon is taxes, plus the sales tax on the total purchase.
The US Government could easily reduce gas prices during this crisis by cutting/suspending the taxes. But you won't see that. The government's solution to every problem is to take more away frmo you.
As a note to European readers who wrote in saying that America has nothing to complain about because gas prices are much higher in Europe, the fact is that gas costs aren't higher in Europe; your governments tax gas higher than the American government. Whether you are getting value back for those taxes is something you need to decide for yourselves. (But I do admire the Autobahn and how well it is maintained compared to US highways). - M. R. Three men were charged with the 2001 gangland-style killing of the founder of the Miami Subs sandwich chain, who was involved in a business dispute with a prominent Washington lobbyist at the time, officials said Tuesday.

At the same time the situation in Iraq continues to deteriorate, with CBS reporting on the "undeclared civil war" raging between Shiites and Sunnis and the Saudi Foreign Minister telling the world that Iraq is "going toward disintegration," there was John Kerry giving a speech arguing that "progress" was being made. As the Boston Herald put it, Senator John Kerry "back-pedalled on blistering criticism of
the war."
Unbelievable. Believable. And it only cost AIPAC $5000.

Yesterday 384 protestors, including peace activist Cindy Sheehan, were arrested outside the White House and were brought to United States Park Police Anacostia Station. I was very surprised to learn that many of those arrested were kept handcuffed in vans and buses for up to 12 hours before they were charged and released. Some of those were released at 4:30 in the morning after being arrested at 4:00 the previous afternoon. Many of those held captive the longest were grandmothers and senior citizens.

Although reported initially by the Times and the Mail, all mention of the explosives allegedly found in the SAS men's unmarked Cressida vanished from the news. Instead, the story was the danger the men faced if they were handed over to the militia run by the "radical" cleric Moqtada al-Sadr. "Radical" is a gratuitous embedded term; al-Sadr has actually cooperated with the British. What did he have to say about the "rescue"? Quite a lot, none of which was reported in this country. His spokesman, Sheik Hassan al-Zarqani, said the SAS men, disguised as al-Sadr's followers, were planning an attack on Basra ahead of an important religious festival. "When the police tried to stop them," he said, "[they] opened fire on the police and passersby. After a car chase, they were arrested. What our police found in the car was very disturbing – weapons, explosives, and a remote-control detonator. These are the weapons of terrorists."

Attention Norwegians:
Get ready for a "terror attack" by "Al Qaeda" (nudge nudge wink wink). - M. R.
Where do American religious leaders stand on torture? Their deafening silence evokes memories of the unconscionable behavior of German church leaders in the 1930s and early 1940s.

Two Undercover Agents Rescued by British May Have Been Israelis...
That would certainly explain the extreme measures the British used to extract them from the jail before they could be questioned. The use of tanks to smash the jail house seems bizarre when the British are at the same time claiming the men are immune under the laws imposed on Iraq by the occupation. Why not just demand their release?
Certainly the haste and desperate measures used to rescue the men suggests that at least one of the men is not what the British claimed him to be. If Israelis were proven to be staging fake terror attacks in Israel to blame on Muslims (as they have a long history of doing), that would really blow up into a scandal even worse that catching British agents shooting at Iraqi policemen while wearing Arab clothing. - M. NEW FEDERAL “HATE” BILL MEANS FUNERAL OF FREE SPEECH...
They came to cheer for Bush’s war. They came to counter the anti war rally. They came to heap praise on their president for his leadership and wisdom. What a sorry group they were.
The few desperate people so unwilling to admit they were wrong to support a President who lied us into a war and who uses torture on innocent people, indeed so unwilling to admit they were wrong they will gladly sacrifice the children of their neighbors not to have to admit it.

5 Russian Warships, Sub Moved Next To Iran/India...
A submarine? For "anti-terror" exercises? Forget the labels, the description of these exercises is of an attack on military bases and interdicting the sea lanes of communication.

September 24, 2005 -- Anti-war protest in Washington, DC today. Very few Democratic members of Congress to appear. Reason: The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), according to Democratic insiders on Capitol Hill, put out the word that any member of Congress who appeared at the protest, where some speakers were to represent pro-Palestinian views, would face the political wrath of AIPAC. According to Democratic sources on the Hill, Rep. Barney Frank of Massachusetts was the chief conveyor of the AIPAC warning to his colleagues.

Think about it. Just this past weekend, antiwar rallies were held across the country, and the Democratic leadership was nowhere in sight. They had high-tailed it out of there. They hid in their holes and were afraid to be seen.
According to Wayne Madsen, they were ordered not to attend by AIPAC.

Japan's government debt, already the highest in the industrialized world, rose 1.7 per cent to a record high of 795.8 trillion yen ($7.1 trillion US) at the end of June, according to a report released by the Finance Ministry.
This is misleading. US government debt is actually much higher, but it is concealed because for the last several decades, the Federal Government has sent back to the states far less than iot takes in. This forces the states to borrow to meet their "unfunded mandates", transferring debt from DC to the states.
All together, total government debt in the US is estimated at over $20 trillion. - M. R.
Israel is striving to reduce the number of Palestinians living in Jerusalem while increasing its Jewish population to undermine claims on East Jerusalem as the capital of an eventual Palestinian state, a U.N. human rights investigator said on Monday.
Resolution 127: " . . . 'recommends' Israel suspends it's 'no-man's zone' in Jerusalem".
Resolution 250: " . . . 'calls' on Israel to refrain from holding military parade in Jerusalem". Resolution 251: " . . . 'deeply deplores' Israeli military parade in Jerusalem in defiance of Resolution 250". Resolution 252: " . . . 'declares invalid' Israel's acts to unify Jerusalem as Jewish capital". Resolution 267: " . . . 'censures' Israel for administrative acts to change the status of Jerusalem". Resolution 271: " . . . 'condemns' Israel's failure to obey UN resolutions on Jerusalem". Resolution 298: " . . . 'deplores' Israel's changing of the status of Jerusalem". Resolution 476: " . . . 'reiterates' that Israel's claim to Jerusalem are 'null and void'". # Resolution 478: " . . . 'censures (Israel) in the strongest terms' for its # claim to Jerusalem in its 'Basic Law'". One of the reasons given for the invasion of Iraq was that Saddam was defying the United Nations. In truth he was not. Saddam did not have the banned weapons of mass destruction the US accused him of. Israel on the other hand, DOES have weapons of mass destruction, and does flagrantly defy the United Nations. - M. R. The booming US housing market has led to a worrying decline in standards in the mortgage lending industry, Alan Greenspan, Federal Reserve chairman, has warned.
In other words, the lenders have made some very reckless loans on over-infliated properties. This is a repeat of the S&L debhacle of the 80s.
Probably intentionally so.

Outrage barely covers it: Regardless of what the law says, Olsen is engaging in an act of theft. Warren committed a crime, and was punished for committing a crime. Olsen's exacting a punishment for something Warren never did in the eyes of the law, making wild and untrue claims in the process. He should drop this case immediately, and if he doesn't, Boulder City fathers should find the courage to order him to stop.
Cassini spots huge “spear” on Saturn moon...
It's not a real spear, okay folks? It's just a fissure in the surface that lines up with a sort of triangular shaped crater. It is not an alien artifact, it is not an arrow showing where the X-files crew is filming, it is not the location of the missing Pentagon plane.

Bush celebrates by borrowing another $50 billion to search Iraq for those 'nookular' bombs. Now that bankruptcy is forbidden for us common folks, the credit card companies are going to raise their minimum payments, ignoring the fact that this will kneecap any chances for a strong retail Christmas this year, and of course, for those people only just now meeting their minimums, will result in a string of financial collapses. It is not like they can go out and get better paying jobs. There are no decent paying jobs. The government helped send all of those overseas, remember? The credit companies will seize houses. And when they get dumped on the market for the amount of the outstanding debt, housing prices will collapse.
We are at that final stage I predicted many years ago. Everyone in government and the corporations are grabbing what they can as fast as they can, without regard to long term consequences, because they know the economy will not hold together much longer. - M. R. Foreign investors will not be allowed to access strategically important branches of the Russian industry
This would have been a smart thing for the US to have done. By allowing Israel to invest in American telecommunications companies, the US set the stage for the spy scandal that broke just before 9-11, in which Israelis were able to track anyone's phone calls in the US, and listen in to conversations using the built-in spying equipment the police install on the phone system to tap your calls. The scandal broke when it was discovered that Israeli operatives inside the companies in question were tracking drug enforcement officers and giving warning to Israeli drug smugglers. This blew up to reveal the largest foreign spy ring ever uncovered inside the US, one with connections to 9-11 itself.

Americans like to think that terrorists attack them because they are rich, free, and number one. Not true. They don't attack Norway—another benefit for keeping your neck out of the woods, minding your own business, taking care of your own people, and planning for tomorrow—not to mention preventing your government from being drowned in the bathtub by snake-oil salesmen posing as public servants, so it can't help when an iceberg hits a fjord, or equivalent natural disaster. Norwegians seem proud of having government on their backs! Not too heavy when they can request and obtain any government record they please for their review! They are also disgustingly healthy. Must be the lack of stress. Thirty million Americans are on anti-depressants. You wonder why.

Let us remember that there are multiple theories of Intelligent Design. I and many others around the world are of the strong belief that the universe was created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster. It was He who created all that we see and all that we feel. We feel strongly that the overwhelming scientific evidence pointing towards evolutionary processes is nothing but a coincidence, put in place by Him.
I subscribe to the church of Frisbeeterianism; the belief that after you die your soul flies up onto the garage roof. Unless you have been bad, then it lands underneath a car where a dog chews it up.

According to a report from the Centre d’étude de la vie politique française (“Centre for the study of French political life”, CEVIPOF), 35% of the population of France as a whole think that there is too much talk of the extermination of the Jews, 20% consider that the Jews have too much power in France and 51% have a negative image of the State of Israel.
Thus, whether native or non-native in origin, many French citizens are not letting themselves be overly abused by the Jewish propaganda pounding. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
