September 30, 2007The Burmese junta currently shooting unarmed protestors received a cynical plea for restraint from the Israel government on Sept. 29. According to the Israeli paper Ha'aretz, the Israeli foreign ministry announced "Israel is concerned by the situation in Myanmar, and urges the government to demonstrate restraint and refrain from harming demonstrators." The article ended by pointing out that "Israel denies selling weapons to Burma or Myanmar."
Except that they lied. Israel sold weapons BOUGHT AND PAID FOR BY AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS, to the Burmese Junta. - M. R.
Former US ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton told Tory delegates in Britain Sunday that efforts by the UK and the EU to negotiate with Iran had failed and that he saw no alternative to a pre-emptive strike on suspected nuclear facilities in the country.
Another Israel-o-phile wants a war for American kids to die in.
Once more, Mr. Bolton, I challenge you or anyone else with a hard-on for war to show us where Iran is building nuclear weapons, or more to the point why they should not be allowed to have them, given the US penchant for attacking unarmed nations. - M. R. But once abandoned, Rather back pedalled from his on-air "regrets" to make a larger point - that CBS was altering news-as-usual for the Bush administration and he'd kept mum about it. Now that he's talking, we see CBS may have buried the first Abu Ghraib exclusive. If they did so for White House favor, there should be an immediate criminal probe.
On what basis? As was cited during the FOX News SBGH lawsuit, there is no actual law that requires the network news to tell the truth about anything.

Spam and virus sites infesting the Google SERPs in several categories - has the mighty Google been hacked?
The .cn sites don't appear to be hosted ANYWHERE. They are simply redirected domain names. How they got ranked in Google in such a short period of time for fairly competitive keywords is a mystery. Google's index even shows legitimate content for the .cn sites.
Which means that they might not actually be Chinese sites at all. - M. R.
What local officials are calling an isolated event that led to charges against a high school student in Gurnee is apparently the latest in a series of incidents across the country causing heightened concern in the racially explosive aftermath of the Jena 6 case in Louisiana.
A Warren Township High School student was charged with disorderly conduct for making "racially charged" statements to two female students, police said. The student drove into a campus parking lot with a noose hanging from his rearview mirror and a Confederate flag displayed in his vehicle, officials said. Are these simply " copy cat crimes", or are certain elements really working hard to create race riots on a national level?
This could trigger the imposition of martial law (something that Bush and his cronies would absolutely love to do). So please, let's all start ratcheting down the rhetoric, talking to each other in ways that foster understanding and respect, and not fall for this incitement. - M. R. The near doubling in the cost of a college degree the past decade has produced an explosion in high-priced student loans that could haunt the U.S. economy for years.
While scholarship, grant money and government-backed student loans -- whose interest rates are capped -- have taken up some of the slack, many families and individual students have turned to private loans, which carry fees and interest rates that are often variable and up to 20 percent. Many in the next generation of workers will be so debt-burdened they will have to delay home purchases, limit vacations, even eat out less to pay loans off on time. The only thing different about the Bush Administration's rhetoric about Iran and statements made Iraq before the US invasion in 2003 are the words chosen, says journalist Seymour Hersh.
"They've changed their rhetoric, really. The name of the game used to be nuclear threat," Hersh said on CNN's Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer, adding a moment later, "They've come to the realization that it's not selling, it isn't working. The American people aren't worried about Iran as a nuclear threat certainly as they were about Iraq. So they've switched, really." A so-called set of "surgical strikes" on Iran is insane, and makes absolutely no diplomatic sense, which is precisely why you can almost count on this administration to do it.
And Iran will respond, with our kids caught like sitting ducks in Iraq, and we're off and running to the next World War. - M. R. The Veterans Disarmament Act -- which has already passed the House -- would place any veteran who has ever been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) on the federal gun ban list.
Warnings raise ire of Hawaii ferry protesters...
To my Hawaii readers.
You are being USED! Opposition to the Ferry is being couched in the usual issues like the environment, noise, cost, etc. But the fact is that the people opposed to the Ferry are opposed on very selfish grounds. Yes, there are some Kauai residents who see the ferry as bringing more tourists to the island, which unless you own a tourism business is seen as a negative. Obviously, the tourism businesses, the people who work in them, and the local governments that tax them would like to see more tourists reach Kauai. So where is the main resistance to the ferry coming from? The local airlines, for one. A passenger taking a ferry to Kauai or Maui is a passenger NOT buying a ticket on an airplane, and with the brutal tactics of the TSA goons, most passengers are grateful for any alternative means of getting to the other islands. The car rental companies are also not happy with the Ferry because people on Oahu who can take their own cars to Maui or Kauai don't rent cars. Oahu's tourist business doesn't like the ferry because it will mean MORE tourists leaving Oahu for the outer islands, taking their money with them. Be very careful, folks. The real opposition to the Ferry comes from some very private and greedy interests. - M. R. VIDEO: The Washington DC Protest, September 29, 2007...

A statistically significant increase in the incidence of malignant tumors, lymphomas and leukemias in rats exposed to varying doses of aspartame appears to link the artificial sweetener to a high carcinogenicity rate, according to a study accepted for publication today by the peer-reviewed journal Environmental Health Perspectives (EHP). The authors of the study, the first to demonstrate multipotential carcinogenic effects of aspartame administered to rats in feed, called for an "urgent reevaluation" of the current guidelines for the use and consumption of this compound.

I will not vote for any candidate running on 9/11. We don’t need another president of 9/11. We need a president for 9/12. I will only vote for the 9/12 candidate.
What does that mean? This: 9/11 has made us stupid. I honor, and weep for, all those murdered on that day. But our reaction to 9/11 — mine included — has knocked America completely out of balance, and it is time to get things right again. Back from a trip to the United States, Karzai said on Saturday he was ready to personally meet the Taliban's fugitive leader, Mullah Mohammad Omar, and Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, chief of another insurgent group for peace talks.
But he excluded any preconditions such as the withdrawal of nearly 50,000 troops under the command of NATO and the U.S. military, as demanded by the insurgents. Mr Bolton, now a fellow at the conservative thinktank the American Enterprise Institute and the author of a forthcoming book called Surrender is Not an Option, was applauded by delegates when he described the UN as "fundamentally irrelevant".

That was right before we invaded Iraq. Bolton, ever on the band wagon to bomb rather than negotiate, is simply echoing this administration's drumbeat toward war with Iran. The real script being prepared to justify a new war in the eyes of public opinion, however, is in the making, namely that Iran is responsible for rising casualties among U.S. troops in Iraq. According to this new Hollywood-style fiction, Iran has been sending in weapons, especially the deadly IEDs, to kill American GIs, and train Shi'ite militias to fight American forces in Iraq. Anyone with a brain in his head, or, a functioning Internet connection with access to international news wires from the region, knows that these are lies. of the same caliber as those churned out by Tony Blair in the months leading up to the war on Iraq that Saddam Hussein's Iraq had sophisticated WMD, which could strike down the West in 45 minutes. Dick Cheney (the man who organized the stove piping of disinformation before the Iraq fiasco) is foremost among those propagating this line. On Sept. 14, Cheney delivered a speech in Grand Rapids, Mich., reiterating his harangue against Islamic terrorists, who, he claimed, seek to "establish a radical empire covering a region from Spain ... to Indonesia.'' According to Cheney, this justifies which the war on terrorism anywhere, everywhere, and forever:
So let me see if I’ve got this right: Hillary Clinton, the Democratic frontrunner for the presidential nomination, is demanding that George W. Bush take a more belligerent posture toward Iran.
While that "tough-guy/gal" stance might make political sense domestically – condemning anyone who dares take up arms against U.S. soldiers – the risk is that once the word “terrorist” is attached, it effectively dictates a course of action: negotiations with "terrorists" are prohibited and a host of draconian actions become unavoidable, even if they are counterproductive. This move is hardly about domestic consumption: Hillary is proving to Israel and Israel's backers that she can be "just as butch" on Iran as can her male presidential candidate-competitors.

We have come to an irrefutable fact; WTC 7 was overthrown by a controlled implosion. The building disappeared in a free fall, in only 6.5 seconds. It is extremely easy to find details linked with this “most probable of hypotheses” online. The only problem is that an honest answer opens a whole lot of new, equally honest, very serious and extremely worrying questions. Questions that deserve a new, this time truly independent inquest of events that occurred on September 11, an inquest that will reveal the actual perpetrators of the greatest crime of modern history.
The Constitution Avenue on Saturday presented the scene of a virtual battlefield. The blood of journalists and lawyers soaked the ground who fell victim to the worst-ever brutality of the police in the capital’s history – thanks to the newly-appointed police chief Marvat Ali Shah.

Since wresting a promise from Tehran in July to clear up its nuclear record by year's end, ElBaradei - head of the International Atomic Energy Agency - has been vilified as pro-Tehran, and accused of overstepping his authority.
But Joseph Cirincione, director for nuclear policy at the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank, said those critical of ElBaradei "should take a deep, hard look at their own role and record for the war in Iraq. "We have an American government seemingly itching to go to war, and we find that those who are proposing negotiations and inspections instead of war are themselves coming under attack," he said. Anyone remember what happened to Hans Blix, and the villification heaped on him, shortly before we invaded Iraq?

Do Bush, Cheney & Co. indeed intend to attack Iran?
I don't know, but my suspicion that they might is getting stronger. Why? Because George Bush is nearing the end of his term of office. If it ends the way things look now, he will be remembered as a very bad – if not the worst – president in the annals of the republic. There is only one year left to do something impressive and save his name in the history books. In such situations, leaders tend to look for military adventures. Taking into account the man's demonstrated character traits, the war option suddenly seems quite frightening. There was no champagne, no music, and just a few young women in traditional dresses.

An air warfare conference in Washington last week was told how American air chiefs have helped to co-ordinate intelligence-sharing with Gulf Arab nations and organise combined exercises designed to make it easier to fight together. The question here is "when", not "if".
These morons in Washington (who generally do not have any family of appropriate miltary age serving in the military) appear to be hell-bent on starting the next world war. This was an engineered public relations event that was fabricated to put lipstick on a pig. No intelligent person believes that God talks to Bushligula. Our present day Little Boots is just as certain of his privilege and just as mean and crazy as the prototype.
The President’s position, and its corollary—that, if many of America’s problems in Iraq are the responsibility of Tehran, then the solution to them is to confront the Iranians—have taken firm hold in the Administration. This summer, the White House, pushed by the office of Vice-President Dick Cheney, requested that the Joint Chiefs of Staff redraw long-standing plans for a possible attack on Iran, according to former officials and government consultants. The focus of the plans had been a broad bombing attack, with targets including Iran’s known and suspected nuclear facilities and other military and infrastructure sites. Now the emphasis is on “surgical” strikes on Revolutionary Guard Corps facilities in Tehran and elsewhere, which, the Administration claims, have been the source of attacks on Americans in Iraq. What had been presented primarily as a counter-proliferation mission has been reconceived as counterterrorism.
There are only a couple of, small, tiny problems with this scenario: how will Iran strike back?
And will Russia and China just sit on their hands and sigh, "oh well" when this sort of attack happens on a major trading and energy partner? Our troops in Iraq will be sitting ducks for a counter attack, to say nothing of moving a regional war global. But if the white house is hell bent on doing this kind of attack against Iran, there are only two possibilities; either the executive office wants a complete global war, or they are complete mornons. Freedom’s Watch, a deep-pocketed conservative group led by two former senior White House officials, made an audacious debut in late August when it began a $15 million advertising campaign designed to maintain Congressional support for President Bush’s troop increase in Iraq.
Founded this summer by a dozen wealthy conservatives, the nonprofit group is set apart from most advocacy groups by the immense wealth of its core group of benefactors, its intention to far outspend its rivals and its ambition to pursue a wide-ranging agenda. Its next target: Iran policy. If war with Iran made any possible kind of geopolitical sense, it wouldn't have to be "sold" to the American public like soap.
This group, the brain child of the Republican Jewish Coalition, is trying desperately to push US foreign policy off a cliff in the Middle East in order to meet Israel's agenda for "regime change" in countries they perceive as threats. And I would be willing to bet you real money on this: none of the young people of appropriate military age in the families of these founders and backers of this group are serving in the military, neither in the front lines in Afghanistan and Iraq, nor will they be serving in the front lines in an attack on Iran. - M. Since DU darkened the land Iraq has seen birth defects which would break a heart of stone: babies with terribly foreshortened limbs, with their intestines outside their bodies, with huge bulging tumours where their eyes should be, or with a single eye – like Cyclops, or without eyes, or without limbs, and even without heads. A U.S. Department of Veterans study of 251 Gulf war veteran's families found that 67% had children with severe illnesses or birth defects. Warning: very horrifically graphic images.
And think about that third paragraph very carefully: a full 67% of OUR TROOPS' KIDS (those troops exposed to DU in the Gulf War) had children with severe illnesses or birth defects. Obviously, these vets - and their families - were (and are) completely expendable to the administrations who knowingly had them - and the people whose assets they wanted to seize - exposed to this poison. - M. R. Nineteen inhabitants of Beit Hanun were killed with malice aforethought. There is no other way of describing the circumstances of their killing. Someone who throws burning matches into a forest can't claim he didn't mean to set it on fire, and anyone who bombards residential neighborhoods with artillery can't claim he didn't mean to kill innocent inhabitants.
Therefore it takes considerable gall and cynicism to dare to claim that the Israel Defense Forces did not intend to kill inhabitants of Beit Hanun. In an effort to pave the way for the total destruction of Iran, the neocon think-tanks are marching out “experts” to convince us, the mostly clueless and witless American public, that Iran is the epicenter of evil in the world, thus its hospitals, kindergarten classrooms, and water treatment plants justly deserve to be bombed.
A U.S.-based private security firm received a contract worth up to 92 million dollars from the Department of Defense amid hard questions about its involvement in two separate violent incidents in Iraq.
"Blackwater has been a contractor in the past with the department and could certainly be in the future," said the U.S.’s top-ranking military officer, General Peter Pace, at an afternoon press conference here. The future arrived just two hours later when the Pentagon released a new list of contracts – Presidential Airways, the aviation unit of parent company Blackwater, was awarded the contract to fly Department of Defense passengers and cargo between locations around central Asia. So a private security company goes in and murders civilians in cold blood, and what do they get?
Rewarded. One of the last things Paul Bremer did before leaving his position in Iraq, was to grant immunity to any private contractor who killed or wounded Iraqi civilians. There is currently no oversight, and no one to whom Blackwater contractors have to answer, except their corporate bosses. And just a side note on the company's president, Erick Prince. Prince is a member of the Council for National Policy, the super-secretive organization Vice-President Cheney addressed last week. A prominent Republican donor, Prince describes himself as a "born-again Christian", as do many members of CNP. However, where this group may depart from others who describe their faith in this way appears to be a desire to wrest control of the US government from secular to funamentalist Chirstian control. Think about that one very carefully. The founding Fathers of this country, in the First Amendment to the Constitution stated: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." They had seen the terror created by "state religions", and wanted to avoid it for the United States. The goal of this organization appears to be the First Amendment's absolute antithesis; the establishment of an American theocracy. - M. R. The US Department of State under the obliging leadership of Condolezza Rice refused to provide a Congressional investigating committee with official documents detailing extensive corruption within the Iraq government. It also intervened on behalf of Blackwater International, telling them NOT TO reveal anything to Congress or the courts about their duties and operations in Iraq--which they claim is a "state secret." As the public outcry grows against using "national security" to cover for illegal and criminal acts, Congress and the Courts seem strangely unwilling or impotent to rein in administration high handedness. It's no wonder that the public's approval rating of Congress has fallen to the lowest rate in history--29%, even lower than Bush's 33% approval rating.
The cover-up of Iraqi corruption is essential in maintaining a puppet government in power. I don't believe Congress has the guts to do anything about it even if it knew the details. However, it is the establishment's fear of a growing public demand to pull out of Iraq that is driving this secrecy. The public should be rightfully incensed. After pouring over $200 billion into Iraqi reconstruction the public has a right to know why this money has produced such minuscule results, lining the pockets of military contractors and corrupt Iraqi leaders in the process. The Senate agreed on Thursday to increase the federal debt limit by $850 billion -- from $8.965 trillion to $9.815 trillion -- and then proceeded to approve a stop-gap spending bill that gives the Bush White House at least $9 billion in new funding for its war in Iraq.
Additionally, the administration has been given emergency authority to tap further into a $70 billion "bridge fund" to provide new infusions of money for the occupation while the Congress works on appropriations bills for the Department of Defense and other agencies. Translation: Under the guise of a stop-gap spending bill that is simply supposed to keep the government running until a long-delayed appropriations process is completed -- probably in November -- the Congress has just approved a massive increase in war funding. I have to congratulate the members of the Senate for having revealed themselves, in a brilliantly bi-partisan move, as having been completely acquired by the defense industry.
The only "choice" the American people appear to have in 2008 election is which greater warmonger they'll have the "privilege" of electing. - M. R. Ernest Hemingway explained the problem many years ago. The first thing politicians do to hide their mismanagement, he said, is inflate the currency; the second thing they do is go to war.
Our currency has been inflated and we are at war. The demonization of the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, which you saw take place in New York City and on American television, is just the first step in preparing the country for a third war. The American government has come to resemble the characters in The Wizard of Oz. We have the Cowardly Congress, a president without a brain, and a foreign-policy establishment without a heart.
Our politicians are still trying to play the empire game long after the age of empires has ended. Blinded by arrogance, they cannot see that with every passing day, the world needs us less and less and hates us more and more. We are passing through that phase when the grandeur of the empire exists only in the minds of politicians who have insulated themselves from reality. The US Army is so compromised in Iraq and Afghanistan that it wouldn’t have the soldiers if the country decides to go to war elsewhere, warned Army Chief of Staff George Casey during a presentation to Congress, reported ANSA.
The Army is "out of balance" and "the current demand for our forces exceeds the sustainable supply. We are consumed with meeting the demands of the current fight and are unable to provide ready forces as rapidly as necessary for other potential contingencies," Casey told the House Armed Services Committee. Reports from Rangoon suggest soldiers are mutinying. It is unclear the numbers involved. Reports cite heavy shooting in the former Burmese capital.

Soaring food prices, driven in part by demand for ethanol made from corn, have helped slash the amount of food aid the government buys to its lowest level in a decade, possibly resulting in more hungry people around the world this year.
The United States, the world’s dominant donor, has purchased less than half the amount of food aid this year that it did in 2000, according to new data from the Department of Agriculture. Aides to State Department Inspector General Howard Krongard threatened two investigators with retaliation this week if they cooperate with a congressional probe into Krongard's office, the chairman of a House of Representatives panel and other U.S. officials said Friday.
The allegations are the latest in a growing uproar surrounding Krongard. Current and former officials in his office charge that he impeded investigations into alleged arms smuggling by employees of the private security firm Blackwater and into faulty construction of the new U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. Jewish state controlled by four informal networks, not by government
I only know I turned around, stalked into the living room, and then with the most certain self-assured vehemence I have ever shown in my life, started bellowing: "No way! No freaking way!"
I knew then, right then and there, that 9/11 was an inside job. That this was not the work of Arab terrorists, unless they played some minor diversionary role in a complex and deliberately confusing cast of characters. That this was done at the behest of the people who control our lives, who wanted to create a stultifying example that would be branded into the minds of the muddled masses in order to create a war mentality to justify their criminal intent to make war on the whole world, and make a handsome profit from it. Nothing I have seen, heard, or read since has caused me to feel even the merest shadow of a doubt about what I felt at that moment. All those millions of words, mostly written by people who have no stake in anything media-related or politically purposeful, have only reinforced my conviction. I know the feeling. - M. R.

The Vermont secession impulse is born out of our understanding that the United States - once a great republic - has become an unsustainable Empire governed by a very few. Beyond massive (and bipartisan) national electoral fraud, 9/11's unanswered questions, a
"war on terror" (that will not end, we are told, in our life times), the collapse of the U.S. Constitution, the erosion of civil liberties, and the practicing of "disaster capitalism" on a massive scale by political and economic elites, the U.S. is simply too big to function as a democratic republic in its current state. In other words, as astute observers from across the political spectrum have pointed out, the Empire is essentially ungovernable, unsustainable, and un-reformable.

Okay idiots, one more time.
Encrypt your data on those laptops. Put the actual encryption application and the keys on a jump disk. The jump disk is on the key ring of the user of that laptop. Without the jump disk, the data on the laptop cannot be read by anyone short of the NSA. Without the jump disk, the laptop thieves not only do not have the keys, they do not have the method used to encrypt the files. I am a former Yeshiva student. I am a Jew. I grew up from the Kensington and Borough Park sections of Brooklyn, NY. My grandfather was an orthodox Jew and he was a violent hater of non-Jews ("goyim" ) and black people ("schwartze").
What exactly did I learn while attending Yeshiva all those years ago ? What exactly did they teach me there? Basically they taught me to venerate mass murderers who went around slaughtering the Hittites and the Canaanites, etc. They even taught me to sing songs about the mass-murder of non-Jews. The Discovery Channel presentation is defective:
1. The test tank was freshly filled and immediately tested, not allowing time for the atmosphere within the tank to saturate with vapors as would have been the case with the TWA800 aircraft. 2. The test tank had air circulation fans installed within, which would have both inhibited evacuation of air and introduced fuel droplets into the air. The 747 had no such mixing fans. 3. The test tank was tested at atmospheric pressure. The TWA800 event occurred at 15,000 feet or so, where pressure is greatly reduced. 4. The test tank was artificially heated by a salamander perhaps producing spot overheating. The TWA tank would have been both at uniform temperature and would have cooled substantially during the climb. Furthermore, the flash point of Jet-A is well above 100F. The test was performed at approx 125F, presumably below the flash point of Jet-A. A flammable liquid can only ignite in free air when the flash point is exceeded. It was a pretty quiet year, relatively speaking. Only 457 Palestinians and 10 Israelis were killed, according to the B'Tselem human rights organization, including the victims of Qassam rockets. Fewer casualties than in many previous years. However, it was still a terrible year: 92 Palestinian children were killed (fortunately, not a single Israeli child was killed by Palestinians, despite the Qassams). One-fifth of the Palestinians killed were children and teens - a disproportionate, almost unprecedented number. The Jewish year of 5767. Almost 100 children, who were alive and playing last New Year, didn't survive to see this one.

The Israelis are following typical Zionist tactics as they attempt to provoke and manipulate those that they are about attack. The Zionists have always, ever since getting their ethnic cleansing of Palestine underway, sought to find a casus belli to justify their attacks. They are usually based on lies and deceptions and, with the help of a compliant western mainstream media, are usually able to deceive the west into thinking that their actions are always reactive and that they are always the victim. They’ve managed to get away with it time and time again but this time the stakes are so high that the world should take note of what is going on.
In focus is Turkmenistan, the energy-rich gas powerhouse of Central Asia. These have been manic weeks in Ashgabat. The melodrama is acute. But then the inscrutable space between victory and the chimera of victory has always been very narrow in Central Asia.
September 1 was the cutoff date that the Kremlin penciled in for the signing of agreements relating to the Russian-Kazakh-Turkmen gas deal that Putin had wrapped up during his sensational Central Asia summit on May 12. But September is drawing to a close, and not only have the agreements not been signed, the main protagonist, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimukhamedov, is unavailable in Ashgabat. He has proceeded on an extended visit to the United States, accompanied by bigwigs in the Turkmen oil and gas industry. It suddenly dawns that in one big throw of the dice, the US and the European Union are desperately playing themselves back into the game, which Moscow thought it had all but secured. surely, some regimes have more draconian prisons than the US. But consider the absolute reality of the situation. American prisons are also worse than some other nations’, with widespread rape, brutality, inter-prison gang violence. And we can’t forget that half or so of American prisoners are in there for non-crimes — victimless offenses against the state, such as drug, gun and tax violations. Then there are hundreds of thousands of property criminals and others who, for all their criminality, surely do not deserve being shoved in cages for years on end.

In 1957 the Shah installed his very-secret police, the Savak. The Iranian people, under the Shah began to become acquainted with the shadow of terror, as an extension of American policies. The thugs were Iranians, but their masters were American. These chapters in the history of Iran left bloody footprints upon that state, and it was in direct reaction to those Western intelligence agency ties to Iran's Shah that the people of that country rebelled. From that day to this the US has not maintained diplomatic ties with Iran- remembering as we do only the 444 days that the hostages were held, and forgetting the decades that we held their country as a hostage state in service to the West.
It is an exceedingly dangerous time. Vice President Dick Cheney and his hard-core "neoconservative" protégés in the administration and Congress are pushing harder and harder for President George W.
