‘Not even White Helmets confirm it’: Russian MoD rubbishes Washington’s Syria chemical attack claims

The Russian Defense Ministry said that Washington’s attempts to “impose another lie on this world” about the situation in Syria were “not even surprising anymore” as it denied that any such attack in Idlib took place.

The military also called out the US over the lack of evidence. When the State Department first reported an alleged attack on Tuesday it limited itself to saying that the US saw some “signs” it might have happened while failing to provide any details about the incident, except for the date on which it supposedly took place.

Even Western-backed groups, such as the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) and the White Helmets – the self-proclaimed civil defense group that operates exclusively in militant-controlled areas and has been accused of associating with extremists – did not support the claims of Washington this time, the ministry said.

44 Things You Should Know About The Green New Deal

By Jon Miltimore

On Feb. 7, US Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and US Sen. Ed Markey introduced legislation known as the Green New Deal. You’ve probably heard of it. It’s a big deal, to paraphrase Joe Biden.
The History of New Deals

Wikipedia, the Internet’s fountain of knowledge, describes the legislation as “a proposed stimulus package that aims to address climate change and economic inequality.” Okay. But what is that?

If the term “new deal” sounds familiar, it should. It’s a reference to FDR’s New Deal, which was itself a play off of Teddy Roosevelt’s Square Deal. (Politicians don’t win extra points for originality.)...

GOP conservative temporarily blocks $19B disaster bill

A House GOP conservative blocked a long-overdue $19 billion disaster aid bill Friday, complaining it leaves out money needed to address the migrant crisis at the border and extending a tempest over hurricane and flood relief that has left the measure meandering for months.

LISTEN TO THE AWKWARD MOMENT THIS CLINTON ADVISOR REALIZED HER BOOK WAS BASED ON A FALSEHOOD

A former advisor to Bill Clinton and Al Gore may have set a record for fastest discrediting of a book when a BBC interviewer showed her the central thesis was based on a misreading of legal terminology.

Naomi Wolf’s book, “Outrages: Sex, Censorship, and the Criminalization of Love,” which is not even out for another month, makes the claim that the British government continued to execute people for sodomy long after it was previously thought the practice ended. Wolf looked at records from the Old Bailey and saw the term “death recorded,” a term she realizes in this interview actually refers to cases in which a sentence of death is passed but suspended.

Wolf claims to have found “several dozen executions.” Her research, she claims, “corrects a misapprehension that is in every website that the last man was executed for sodomy in Britain in 1835.”

“I don’t think you’re right about this,” the BBC’s Matthew Sweet replied to her in the interview.

Bombs to Break Through Syrian Army Lines - Russian MoD

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Terrorists in the Idlib de-escalation zone are preparing up to four vehicles filled with explosives to help them break through Syrian army defensive positions, the commander of the Russian centre for Syrian reconciliation said on Friday.

According to Maj. Gen. Viktor Kupchishin, more than 800 militants, at least seven tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles and 15 pickup trucks with heavy machine guns have already arrived in the southwest of the Idlib de-escalation zone. Illegal armed groups are bringing in reinforcements, weapons and military equipment to ??the town of Kafr Nabudah in Hama province.

Russia Condemns US "Warships" Off Venezuela's Coast - Says Coup Attempts Ongoing

We might chalk it up to stating the obvious, but by and large the media has moved on from Venezuela, however, the coup plotters in Washington have not. Apparently the Kremlin also wishes to remind the world of this, given its ongoing support to Maduro and his army, and given that the Russian foreign ministry has remained vocal on the issue, announcing this week that "US-backed attempts to stage a coup in Venezuela will continue."

CIA Whistleblower: Assange Is Going To Get Railroaded By "Hanging" Judge

A former CIA analyst-turned-whistleblower says that an extradited Julian Assange would have no chance of a fair trial in front of a federal judge who "reserves every national security case for herself."

Judge Leonie Brinkema, Julian Assange
John Kiriakou, who was sentenced to 30 months in prison by Eastern District of Virginia Judge Leonie Brinkema for telling ABC News about CIA waterboarding, told Russian state-sponsored RT "They are going to try to make an example of Julian," adding "He’s been charged in the Eastern District of Virginia. His judge was also my judge and ex-Snowden’s judge and [CIA whistleblower] Jeffry Sterling’s judge who reserves every national security case for herself."

"She is a hanging judge. She will not give him a fair trial. It’s impossible for Julian to receive a fair trial in the Eastern District of Virginia," addid Kiriakou.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I frankly worry that he will not be allowed to live before his trial; anyone remember how Whitey Bulger was bludgeoned to death, in prison?!?

There are a whole lot of people, wanting him dead, and they would not hesitate have an assassination ordered, if they felt what he may have to say at a trial, would compromise their wealth and their power.

White House To Send Another 2,000 Troops To Counter "Credible" Iranian Threat

Yesterday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo assured his interviewers on Fox News that the threat from Iran is totally "real" and "credible" - though he once again refused to get into specifics. But whatever the threat might be, American troops in the region will soon be able to sleep a little easier, because the White House and Pentagon have reportedly agreed to send "roughly 2,000" additional troops to the Middle East...to help protect American forces in the region.

Other reports put the number at closer to 1,500. Trump met with Pentagon leaders Thursday evening where they decided to move ahead with the troop deployment to CENTCOM, which oversees all American troops in the Middle East.

Since the aviation authorities around the world grounded the 737 MAX 8 following a second suspicious crash, the scrutiny facing Boeing has been intensifying. "Retaliation Is Imminent": Here Are China's "Nuclear" Trade War Options

Almost exactly one year ago, when the US-China trade war was still in its early stages and when conventional wisdom (wrong, as it usually is) dictated that the two sides would never escalate to the "tech cold war" stage we have now as it is in "nobody's interest" to launch an all-out trade war, we listed what were Beijing's five at the time "nuclear" retaliation options; these included currency depreciation, sales of US Treasurys, blocking of US services, curbing of oil shipments and a rare-earth metal export ban, crippling US supply chains.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What President Trump, apparently is pathologically unable to see, is that the word "negotiations": takes honest, give and take, not "My way, or the Highway!!

I am still very concerned, about the degree to which the US is trying to militarily rattle them, by these so-called "Freedom of Access" journeys in the South China Sea by our Navy; unfortunately, trade wars can morph into shooting wars very quickly.

Trump Bypasses Congress To Approve $8 Billion In Arms Sales To Saudi Arabia, UAE

Not long after he reportedly agreed to send another 1,500-2,000 troops to the Middle East in yet another show of strength to combat an increasingly belligerent Iran, President Trump steamrolled Congress on Friday to approve $8 billion in arms sales to the UAE and Saudi Arabia and expedite delivery, WSJ reports.

The administration invoked a rarely used provision of American arms control laws to bypass Congress and approve the weapons sales, citing the escalating tensions with Iran as justification. WSJ's sources said the $8 billion figure encapsulates a package of 22 separate deals.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would strongly suspect, that this new weapons sales to Saudi Arabia, isn't, at least, right now Iran-focused, but the continued stalemate in Yemen, which has the US fighting on the side of the Saudis, with no end in sight.

The Butcher of Yemen, is probably going to use most of this hardware to do carpet bombing of the country, so very few are left alive; in fact, in the corporate warmonger feeds, I still am hearing not a word about Yemen, from those annoying talking heads, just what a "threat" Iran is (supplying no specifics, of course). My potential "window" for an israel-delivered "false flag", to be blamed, of course, on Iran, would be any time between this Monday, 26 May, through Thursday, 4 July.

Yemeni drone hits Patriot missile system at Saudi airport in Najran: Report

Yemeni army forces, supported by allied fighters from Popular Committees, have reportedly launched an airstrike against an MIM-104 Patriot surface-to-air missile system stationed at an airport in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern border region of Najran.

A Yemeni military source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the local Arabic-language al-Masirah television network that Yemeni soldiers and their allies attacked the US-built system on Thursday, using a domestically-designed and -manufactured Qasef-2K (Striker-2K) combat drone.

The source added that the aerial attack was carried out following close surveillance by Yemeni forces.

According to Yemeni sources, this is the third consecutive attack by Yemeni forces' drones on the Saudi airport.

Trump may use Iran tensions to bypass Congress, sell Saudis more bombs: Senator

A US senator has warned that President Donald Trump may use the tensions Washington has been stocking with Iran as a pretext to sell more bombs to the Saudi regime without congressional approval.

In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Chris Murphy, the Connecticut Democrat and member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said that the Trump administration may cite tensions with Iran as an “emergency” to justify supplying more arms to the Riyadh regime.

“I am hearing that Trump may use an obscure loophole in the Arms Control Act and notice a major new sale of bombs to Saudi Arabia (the ones they drop in Yemen) in a way that would prevent Congress from objecting. Could happen this week,” Murphy said.

“Arms control law allows Congress to reject a sale to a foreign country. But Trump would claim the sale constitutes an ‘emergency’ which means Congress can't take a vote of disapproval. It would go through automatically,” he added.

Russia’s $30 Mil Corvettes Have 4X Firing Range of $2 Bil US Destroyers and Cruisers

Russia is adding warships to its navy faster than the US. The reason for that is simple, while the US is pouring $14 billion into the USS Gerald Ford carrier the Russians are building corvettes. A class of warships between 500 and 1,000 tons.

Not only are they small, they are cheap. The newest class, Karakurt, sets back the Russian budget 2 billion rubles or just over $30 million at the exchange rates.

These sound like puny vessels, except here is the thing: they can hit an enemy surface ship from four times the distance a US destroyer (Arleigh-Burke) or cruiser (Ticonderoga) can.

Russians, Americans Race to Fulfill Europe's Increasing Thirst for Imported Gas

The competition for a stake in the European gas market is heating up in 2019, which promises to be an important year. The outcome of this contest will have a long-lasting effect. Two interconnected but separate developments are having a substantial impact on Europe’s energy imports. On the one hand, the shale revolution in the U.S. is producing massive amounts of natural gas, which is supercooled as LNG and shipped overseas. On the other hand, Europe's long-time supplier, Gazprom is working on additional pipeline infrastructure such as Nord Stream 2 and Turk Stream to secure its market share in the wake of increased competition.

Juncker just gifted every Euro-skeptic movement on the continent a quote that they will throw back in the EU’s face for years to come.

He added that opposition to mass migration was driving populism, remarking, “They don’t like those coming from far away, I like those coming from far away … we have to act in solidarity with those who are in a worse situation than we are in.”

BEX ALERT - NBC Claims Russians Plan To Give African Americans Combat Training

On Monday NBC news reported "Russian documents reveal desire to sow racial discord and violence in the US." The claim is that these documents are communications between associates of Yevgeny Prigozhin, who is described as a "Kremlin linked oligarch indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller." The documents were obtained by the Dossier Center, a London based investigative project funded by exiled Russian opposition leader Mikhail Khodorkovsky. NBC News admitted they have not independently verified the documents.

These communications, which NBC says are light on detail, suggest a plan to recruit African Americans and transport them to camps in Africa "for combat prep and training in sabotage."

The plan, entitled "Development Strategy of a Pan-African State on U.S. Territory," proposed to recruit poor and disenfranchised African Americans "who have experience in organized crime groups" and members of "radical black movements for participation in civil disobedience actions."

Preparations for War: NATO Intelligence Activity Around Russia’s Borders

In addition to the militarization of Eastern Europe, NATO partakes in active intelligence operations – be it by land, sea and air.

There are numerous reports of various intelligence (spy) aircraft going and even entering Russian airspace, and the Russian Aerospace Forces intercepting them.

Officially, NATO has 14 Boeing E-3A Airborne Warning & Control System (AWACS) aircraft with their radar domes, stationed at NATO Air Base (NAB) Geilenkirchen, Germany.

The fleet is involved in the reassurance measures following the Russia-Ukraine crisis, and in the tailored assurance measures for Turkey against the background of the Syrian crisis.

Under normal circumstances, the aircraft operates for about eight hours, at 30,000 feet (9,150 meters) and covers a surveillance area of more than 120,000 square miles (310,798 square kilometers).

India’s Strategic Alliance with U.S.: Towards an Anti-Russian Military Pivot

India’s much-touted and over-hyped policy of “multi-alignment” is seeming more and more like a cover for unconvincingly disguising the country’s strategic alliance the US, especially after its Ambassador to America strongly hinted that Modi will undertake an anti-Russian military pivot during his second term in office.

There’s little doubt that India will ditch Russia like it just recently did Iran after its Ambassador to America strongly hinted as much in an exclusive interview that he gave to CNBC. NASA executive quits weeks after appointment to lead 2024 moon landing plan

A top NASA executive hired in April to guide strategy for returning astronauts to the moon by 2024 has resigned, the space agency said on Thursday, the culmination of internal strife and dwindling congressional support for the lunar initiative.

Mark Sirangelo, named six weeks ago as special assistant to NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine, left the agency as NASA abandoned a reorganization plan due to a chilly reception on Capitol Hill, Bridenstine said in a statement.

Two individuals close to the space program and familiar with the situation said Sirangelo was escorted out of NASA’s headquarters in Washington on Wednesday after his resignation.

His departure came after lawmakers rejected NASA’s proposal to create a separate directorate within the space agency to oversee future lunar missions and ultimately develop human exploration of Mars.

Israel: “Wiped off The Map”. The Rumor of the Century, Fabricated by the US Media to Justify An All out War on Iran

Global Research Editor’s Note

The following text by Arash Norouzi first published by the Mossadegh Project and Global Research in January 2007 confirms that the alleged “Wiped Off the Map” statement by Iran’s president was never made.

In the light of recent US threats directed Iran, we are reposting this important article.

Iran does not constitute a threat to Israel.

The rumor was fabricated by the American media with a view to discrediting Iran’s head of state and providing a justification for waging an all out war on Iran. the article provides of media manipulation and “propaganda in action”.

Iran is blamed for refusing to abide by the “reasonable demands” of “the international community”.

In recent developments, Iran is persistently described as threatening the security of Israel. And Israel is described as instrumental in determining US foreign policy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And the $64,000 dollar question here is, if the US invades Iran, what will Russia and China's parliaments do?@?

Sit back and sing, "Kumbya"?!?

Foreign Aid That Costs an Arm and a Leg – LiterallyThe US-funded Israeli military is shooting so many unarmed Palestinians that the UN is warning of an amputation crisis in Gaza

My friend Andrew Rubin is an amputee. He’s lost his right hand, lower arm, right foot, and lower leg.

He used to be an avid runner and cyclist. He can’t do much of that anymore, although his walking is getting much better. Soon he might be able to run with his artificial leg.

Andrew is incredibly lucky.

The medical catastrophe that left his hand and foot so terribly damaged didn’t kill him. But when his limbs never healed even after a decade, he decided to undergo the amputations. It was his choice, and it was made much easier because he knew what lay ahead: the most advanced artificial limbs ever imagined. The kids call him Bionic Man now.

Andrew is lucky for another reason: He doesn’t live in Gaza.

According to the United Nations, 1,700 young Gazans are facing amputation, mainly of their legs, in the next two years. They’re among the 7,000 unarmed Palestinians in Gaza shot by Israeli snipers over the last year.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Anyone targeting children non-combatants, is a monster in my world; what kind of psychotic, amoral piece of work, deliberately targets Palestinian children?!?

But their may be a deeper answer for this; when you wound or kill children, you maim or kill the future of a society.

That is precisely what is going on here.

Immunity bill submitted to Knesset with Netanyahu indictment pending

The Israeli Knesset is considering legislation that would grant government officials immunity from criminal prosecution, and just so happen to spare Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from three looming corruption indictments.
If the proposed amendment to the Immunity Law passes, elected officials could not be charged with a criminal offense unless the 120-member Knesset and the Knesset House Committee agreed to waive immunity. Should Netanyahu’s Likud Party secure a coalition and outnumber its rivals, the measure could effectively place them above the law for as long as they serve in government.

U.S. Air Force has deployed 20 missiles that could zap the military electronics of North Korea or Iran with super powerful microwaves, rendering their military capabilities virtually useless with NO COLLATERAL DAMAGE

The U.S. Air Force has deployed at least 20 missiles that could zap the military electronics of North Korea or Iran with high-power microwaves, rendering their military capabilities virtually useless without causing any fatalities, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.

Known as the Counter-Electronics High Power Microwave Advanced Missile Project (CHAMP), the missiles were built by Boeing's Phantom Works for the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory and tested successfully in 2012. They have not been operation until now.

The microwave weapons are fitted into an air-launched cruise missile and delivered from B-52 bombers. With a range of 700 miles, they can fly into enemy airspace at low altitude and emit sharp pulses of high power microwave (HPM) energy that fry computer chips, disabling any electronic devices targeted by the missiles with causing any collateral damage.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears, from the look of this, that most probably, the missiles might be weighted, in terms of location, with more of them having been deployed in the Middle East, rather than our forces in Asia.

How is this not colluding with America’s enemies?

Imagine, for a moment, what the political reaction would be if a leading Republican senator met with an antagonistic foreign power, say Russia, in the midst of high-tension standoff between President Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin?

Such a scenario seems nearly inconceivable. Yet, it’s exactly the situation Sen. Dianne Feinstein created when hosting Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif for dinner a few weeks ago.

Politico reported on the meeting, noting that it was “a bit unusual” for a former chair of the Intelligence Committee and a member of the Senate minority to dine out with the acting foreign minister of an adversary of the United States. And by “unusual,” Politico meant completely unprecedented.

Actually, my imaginary set-up doesn’t really do the Feinstein dinner justice. Iran isn’t merely a rival of the United States — like, say, Russia — but a violent and active enemy.

Mike Pompeo doesn’t reckon himself a media critic, but the secretary of state can’t help but grin at the hysterical coverage that attends the Trump administration’s every move on the world stage. “White House Reviews Military Plans Against Iran, in Echoes of Iraq War” screamed a New York Times headline.

“When you see that headline, it’s flashy, but it doesn’t begin to reflect the depth of the work that’s been done,” Pompeo says as we sit down for an interview at the plush Palace Hotel in Midtown.

As the numerous Democrats vying for the party’s 2020 presidential nomination compete to stake out the most pro-abortion position possible, Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey has pledged to create a White House office exclusively dedicated to protecting so-called abortion “rights.”

Booker laid out a comprehensive pro-abortion plan Wednesday in a Medium post pledging to hold a pro-Roe v. Julian Assange hit with 18 federal charges in new indictment

A federal grand jury in Virginia indicted WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange on 18 felony charges for his alleged involvement in the 2010 leak of classified documents by Chelsea Manning, the Justice Department announced Thursday.

The indictment includes 17 new counts of violations of the Espionage Act, in addition to one charge that had been unsealed after Assange was arrested in London in April. Each count carries a maximum sentence of between five and 10 years if convicted, although federal sentences are typically much shorter.

"The superseding indictment alleges that Assange was complicit with Chelsea Manning, a former intelligence analyst in the U.S. Army, in unlawfully obtaining and disclosing classified documents related to the national defense," the department said in a statement.

President Donald Trump on Thursday granted Attorney General William Barr new powers to review and potentially release classified information related to the origins of the Russia investigation, a move aimed at accelerating Barr’s inquiry into whether U.S. officials improperly surveilled Trump’s 2016 campaign.

Trump directed the intelligence community to “quickly and fully cooperate” with Barr’s probe. The directive marked an escalation in Trump’s efforts to “investigate the investigators,” as he continues to try to undermine the findings of special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe amid mounting Democratic calls for impeachment proceedings.

The Next Economic Crisis And The Looming Post-Multipolar System

At one time, specifically during the post-World War 2 Bretton Woods era, it looked like as if the capitalist model could be indefinitely sustainable and avoid plunging the world into major world conflicts. That era began to come to an end during the stagflation crisis of the 1970s, and came to a complete end at the end of the Cold War which ushered in the era of the so-called “globalization” which took form of unbridled competition for markets and resources. At first this competition did not show many signs of trouble. There were many “emerging markets” created as a result of the collapse of the Soviet bloc into which Western corporations could expand.

However, the law of diminishing returns being what it is, the initial rapid economic growth rates could not be sustained and attempts to goose it using extremely liberal central bank policies, to the point of zero and even negative interest rates, succeeded in inflating—and bursting—several financial “bubbles”.

Skype Co-Founder Is "Desperate" To Save Humanity From AI

The co-founder of Skype, Jaan Tallinn, is on a desperate mission to save the human race from the destruction of artificial intelligence. Since 2007, Tallinn’s dedicated more than $1 million toward preventing super-smart AIs from replacing humans as Earth’s dominant species and from destroying humanity in the process.

According to an interesting Popular Science article, the programmer discovered AI researcher Eliezer Yudkowsky’s essay “Staring into the Singularity” in 2007, two years after cashing in his Skype shares following the startup’s sale to eBay. That’s when Tallinn started pouring money into the cause of saving humanity from AI.

So far, [Tallinn has] given more than $600,000 to the Machine Intelligence Research Institute, the nonprofit where Yudkowsky is a research fellow. He’s also given $310,000 to the University of Oxford’s Future of Humanity Institute, which PopSci quotes him as calling “the most interesting place in the universe.” –Futurism

Mississippi Floodway May Be Opened, Unleashing 17 Million Liters Of Water Per Second

One of the major barriers that keeps the Mississippi River on its course could be opened for only the third time in its history. The opening would be the result of rising river levels and could also flood parts of Louisiana, which would affect businesses in the region, according to Bloomberg.

The Army Corps of Engineers may be forced to open the Morganza Floodway, a lengthy dam-like barrier that redirects 600,000 cubic feet, or 17 million liters of water, per second to take pressure off the Mississippi. The river has been at high levels since last October as a result of massive rainfalls that have also had a negative effect on crops in the region.

They're Back! 3D-Printed Guns Are Unstoppable And Here To Stay

An entirely decentralized network of self-defense rights advocates have taken to the internet to provide plans for 3D-printed guns. It looks like the 3D guns are unregulatable and unstoppable. They’re anonymously sharing the blueprints and advice while simultaneously building an unstoppable community.

Unlike previous attempts to popularize 3D-printed guns, this newer operation is entirely decentralized. There’s no headquarters, no trademarks, and no real leader. The people behind it already understand that this means they can’t be stopped by governments and their laws or regulations.

“If they [the government] were to come after me, they’d first have to find my identity,” says Ivan the Troll, a member of the group. “I’m one of many, many like-minded individuals who’re doing this sort of work.”

Venezuela to Create 4G Network With Help of China's Huawei, Russian Companies

Venezuela hopes to develop a nationwide 4G system with the help of Russian and Chinese technology, particularly from the Asian country’s Huawei, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has said.

The Venezuelan president stated that Caracas is aiming to develop its satellite technologies.

"There are a lot of things that I should address. The first one is the creation of a telecommunications corporation… I have ordered to make an investment and, together with China's technologies, Huawei technologies and the technologies of Russian companies, bring telecommunications [to a new level] and make a nationwide 4G network a reality in Venezuela to ensure Venezuela has fast communications, internet, and telephony", Maduro said in an address published on Twitter late on Thursday.

‘Mostly Psychological Warfare’: US Unlikely to Initiate War With Iran

While US leaders have once again begun beating the drums of war with Iran, moving US military assets to the region, an Iranian expert on American studies told Sputnik it was just posturing, because US leaders know Iran’s capabilities and that a war would cause global chaos.

The White House announced Sunday that the US Navy's aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln would deploy to the Persian Gulf region with a battle group as well as an unspecified bomber task force to address "troubling and escalating indications and warnings" from Iran.

Virtual reality phone app could help spot Alzheimer's by testing patients' ability to navigate a computer-simulated world, research finds

Virtual reality will soon be able to help detect Alzheimer’s disease by asking patients to step into a computer-simulated world, research suggests.

Scientists believe they can better identify the disease its early stages using technology than with the current ‘gold standard’ cognitive tests currently used, The Times reported.

They hope the findings could one day help them develop a smartphone app that could help diagnose the disorder at home.

Sanctions Are a Bitch – U.S. Refiners Importing Russian Oil Like Mad

Working off a stub from Bloomberg, Sputnik took a lot of joy in amping up the irony.

The market needs to be fed. And refiners will buy whoever has the best cargo at the best price. It is only politicians who don’t understand that you can’t dictate to the markets.

Now refiners in the U.S. have been under pressure with rising oil prices but Russian oil isn’t brought in to supply the tight gasoline market. Russian Urals grade is considered heavy-sour which is better for refining into diesel and other heavier grades.

First Batch of Declassification to Include ‘Bucket 5’ – FBI Docs Exonerating Papadopoulos and Carter Page

President Trump on Thursday evening announced that at the recommendation of Attorney General Bill Barr, he has directed the Intel Community to quickly and fully cooperate with Barr’s investigation into surveillance activities.

President Trump ordered declassification of the intelligence related to the spying on his presidential campaign in 2016.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This why the timing on Telly yesterday, featuring the Puddling Pel (as in the Nancy) who went ballistic, accusing Trump of a cover-up, and wanting for Congress to impeach him, only to be later exonerated in the Senate.

As these revelations drip-drip-drip into the American consciousness, Americans will realize who the real criminals were in Russiagate.

Now, having said that, there are many things President Trump has done, with which I have not agreed, such as withdrawing the US from the P5+1 deal with Iran; and I am hoping that the guy doesn't have this country on a path to nuclear armageddon with either Russia or China; but that being said, I firmly believe that this information will give my brother and sister Americans, a taste of the excrement sandwich the Demonocrats have been attempting to force down our collective throats, and decide that they no longer deserve the honor of representing the people of this country.

Legislature approves bill banning undetectable firearms

Making, selling, transporting or possessing 3D-printed guns and other undetectable firearms would be banned in New York under legislation approved by the Democrat-controlled state Legislature.

The Assembly passed the bill Monday, five days after the legislation was approved by the Senate.

The measure would ban all firearms whose components can’t be detected by security screening technology such as X-rays and metal detectors typically used at airports.

The bill now goes to Gov. Andrew Cuomo for approval or veto. The third-term Democrat has successfully pushed for tighter gun control laws in New York in recent years.

“We obviously support efforts to further strengthen the strongest gun safety laws in the nation, which were advanced by Governor Cuomo, but we need to review the language of this amended bill to make sure it accomplishes its stated goal,” Cuomo senior advisory Richard Azzopardi said in a statement Tuesday.

Women & unborn kids victimized as Dems and Reps weaponize abortion

It’s a recipe for social disaster. Democrats push for late-term abortions as Republicans move to ban abortions, even in cases of rape and incest. The victims of this political circus are women and unborn babies.

Rekindled interest in abortion legislation is a clear reminder that the 2020 presidential elections are bearing down on the United States like a veritable tornado, with all of the expected fallout and damage.

On one side of the ramparts we have liberals, fervent believers in the idea that nobody – least of all members of the hirsute patriarchal tribe – should have the right to tell women what they can and cannot do with their bodies. That argument is defensible, but only up to a point.

Commenting on the latest satellite imagery, The National Interest said the new drone, dubbed the Sukhoi Okhotnik-B, or Hunter-B, a stealth heavy unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) being developed by Sukhoi as a sixth-generation aircraft, was first spotted by land-based cameras earlier this year at an airfield in Novosibirsk in southern Russia.

Under President Barack Obama’s administration and, now, President Donald Trump’s, the United States has put its military might behind the Saudi-led coalition, waging a war without congressional authorization. That war has devastated Yemen’s infrastructure, destroyed or damaged more than half of Yemen’s health facilities, killed more than 8,350 civilians, injured another 9,500 civilians, displaced 3.3 million people, and created a humanitarian disaster that threatens the lives of millions as cholera and famine spread through the country.

US Military Aid Implicated In Israel’s Sniping, Gaza Amputation Crisis

Unfortunately, U.S. taxpayers are funding this madness.

Every year, we send $3.8 billion directly to the Israeli military — no strings attached — and American companies make the tear gas and other weapons that Israel deploys against demonstrators. Washington makes sure that no Israeli officials, political or military, are ever held accountable at the United Nations for potential war crimes.

Crueler still, the Trump administration has cut off funding for the very UN refugee agency that staffs health clinics in Gaza, even as it funds the Israeli military that’s filling them with gunshot victims.

The protests, overwhelmingly nonviolent, continue — and the killing has continued too, week after week. Meanwhile, there are so many disabled kids in Gaza now that the beleaguered territory is setting up special sports leagues for them.

Risk of Nuclear War Now Highest Since World War 2: UN

The Director of the U.N. Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR), Renata Dwan, warned that all states with nuclear weapons are pushing for weapon modernization programs, while arms control regulations are changing or fading.

This restructure of nuclear agreements is partly due to strategic competition between China and the U.S, and a new “arms race” between the North American nation and Russia. With disarmament talks stalemated for the past two decades, 122 countries have signed a treaty to ban nuclear weapons, expect states with the weaponized material.

As a result, since 2018, the Doomsday Clock marks two-minutes till midnight, something not seen since 1947.

Newly Revealed Documents Show Syrian Chemical “Attacks Were Staged”

“The OPCW engineering assessment unambiguously describes evidence collected by the OPCW Fact-Finding Mission (FFM) that indicates two analyzed chlorine cylinder attacks were staged in April 2018 in Douma. The holes in the reinforced concrete roofs that were supposedly produced by high-speed impacts (impact at speeds of perhaps 100 m/s or more, 250 mph) of industrial chlorine canisters dropped from helicopters were instead created by earlier explosions of either artillery rockets or mortar shells. In one event a chlorine canister that was damaged on another occasion was placed on the roof with its head inserted into an existing crater hole, and in the other case a damaged chlorine cylinder was placed on a bed supposedly after it penetrated the building roof and bounced from its original trajectory into a bed. In both cases the damage to the chlorine cylinders was incompatible with the damage to the surroundings that was allegedly caused by the cylinder impacts.

Turkish Army Pullout Will Bring Peace to Northern Syria?

In mid-January 2018, the Turkish General Staff announced the beginning of Olive Branch Operation. The goal was to oust the Kurds from the outskirts of Afrin, as well as to create a buffer zone along the Syrian-Turkish border.

These steps were sharply criticized by the world community, but Ankara hastened to declare that the presence of its troops in Syria was temporary.

Erdogan promised to return these territories to Syrians. Indeed, the fighting stopped on March 20 2018, after capturing Afrin when several hundred Kurds were killed and wounded. However, now it looks like Turkey is not going to leave the occupied territory.

Kurdistan 24 TV channel recently published information that the Ankara government is building a concrete wall around the city of Afrin to isolate it from its surroundings.

Barack Obama has 'delayed his book release until the 2020 election because he wants to outsell Michelle' and 'brags that he isn't using a ghostwriter like his wife'

Barack Obama is keen to outdo the success of his wife's 2018 book with his forthcoming release from Penguin Random House.

Publishers hoped to get the former US President's memoir out this year but it's reported the so far unnamed book will be held back until 2020 when the presidential election buzz is at its height.

The Atlantic reported that Obama is feeling especially competitive after Michelle's Becoming memoir was the biggest of last year and could become the best-selling autobiography ever after shifting 10 million copies.

Anonymous sources who claim to have spoken to Obama about his memoir in the works told the publication 'he'll occasionally point out in conversation that he's writing this book himself, while Michelle used a ghostwriter'.

 Sovereign Citizenship

Sovereign Citizenship is the status held by our forefathers. George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and everyone else who won their freedom from the British Empire had this status. It was the birthright of all Americans, and we were generous in extending this most important right to foreign-born persons through the naturalization laws. With this status, our unalienable rights of life, liberty, and property couldn't be infringed. During the Civil War a method was discovered by the leading attorneys, financiers, and politicians of the day to deprive us of this status. Fortunately, we can get it back. This brings us to the question, "What are we getting back?" What does it mean to be a Sovereign Citizen?

HEAD OF REPORTERS WITHOUT BORDERS SAYS ISRAEL SHOT JOURNALISTS INTENTIONALLY

SOURCE: MIDDLE EAST MONITOR
The director-general of Reporters Without Borders (RSF) said yesterday that the Israeli army had deliberately targeted journalists in the occupied Gaza Strip.

Christophe Deloire was speaking to the Jerusalem Post, having received the Dan David Prize in Tel Aviv on behalf of the international press freedoms watchdog.

“It is a war crime to target journalists because they are journalists,” Deloire told the paper. “When Israel shot those journalists [during the Great Return March protests], it was intentional.”

“The journalists could be clearly identified as journalists, with cameras and jackets and it could not be just by chance,” he added.

Referring to the United Nations’ Commission of Inquiry into the Gaza protests, Deloire pointed out that the report “confirmed what we already considered a fact”.

Webmaster's Commentary:

CRITICISMS OF NEW SAT ADVERSITY SCORE CONTINUE TO MOUNT

SOURCE: JENNIFER KABBANY VIA THE COLLEGE FIX
Authored by Jennifer Kabbany via The College Fix,

The recent decision by the Scholastic Aptitude Test to add a so-called adversity score to test takers’ results for college admissions’ officials to weigh has been almost universally panned.

Few think it’s a good idea to give students an “overall disadvantage level” ranking.

First, conservative scholar Heather Mac Donald laid out several big problems with the new index, noting it’s basically affirmative action and reinforces the soft bigotry of low expectations.

The College Fix’s senior reporter Christian Schneider also weighed in, calling it “just another invitation for fraud.”

“Clearly, lying about one’s racial identity is wrong – but in a country where racial makeup is growing more complex and college admittance is as competitive as ever, students can hardly be blamed for trying to give themselves a leg up,” he opined.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I graduated from college with a 3.75 GPA; and I had a "learning disability" which was not even uncovered until Mike and I started dating.

He took me to a safety-approved gun range, and as someone who always thought of themselves to be right-handed, I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn , or the target, with my right hand.

Mike looked at me, smiling somewhat knowingly, and said: "Giggles and grins, honey, try doing this with your left hand; and I was able to hit the target much more toward the center, and indeed, in the center frequently; I was right handed, left-eye dominant, which is described as "mixed brain dominance", which is why, to this day - at 70 - I cannot, for the life of me, sightread a piano score, cold. (And yet, I am a published composer! :-)

I wish these kinds of things could be diagnosed, and treated very early in all of our childrens' educations; it would make their subsequent learning, far easier, and much more successful.

WE FINALLY KNOW WHERE THE SCANDALOUS OZONE-DESTROYING CHEMICALS ARE REALLY COMING FROM

SOURCE: CARLY CASSELLA @ SCIENCEALERT.COM
It's been exactly one year since US scientists reported a mysterious surge in ozone-destroying chemicals, known as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).

Banned in 1987 under the globally signed Montreal Protocol, there was only one explanation: somewhere out there, in an unknown location, someone must have gone rogue, setting back progress on the ozone hole by a decade or more.

After much speculation, the whereabouts and magnitude of these harmful emissions has been confirmed in scientific research. As earlier reporting in The New York Times had already suggested, they seem to be coming from the northeast coast of mainland China.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Folks, geopolitically, here is one of the West's "cage the rage, and engage" opportunities,by not screaming "China bad!" for this happening, but collaborating with China's top scientists, getting the Chinese government's blessing, to work with them to reduce this.

In my world, collaboration trumps confrontation, nearly every darn time.

Pope Francis: Church Must Learn to Abandon Old ‘Traditions’

It is a mistake for the Church to try to hold onto old traditions or to have clear answers for everything, Pope Francis said Thursday.

Jesus intentionally omitted telling his disciples many things so that the Church would learn to renounce the desire for clarity and order, the pope told participants in the 21st general assembly of Caritas Internationalis, the Church’s global charitable outreach.

When pagans first embraced the Christian faith, the question arose as to if they would have to abide by all the precepts of the Jewish law, something Jesus never spoke of, the pope noted.

By not always giving “clear rules” that would quickly resolve issues, Jesus was protecting the Church from the temptation of “efficientism,” Francis said, which is the desire for the Church to have everything under control, avoiding surprises, with its agenda always in order.

North Korea says talks won't resume unless US changes position on disarmament

North Korea said Friday that nuclear negotiations with the United States will never resume unless the Trump administration moves away from what Pyongyang described as unilateral demands for disarmament.

The statement by an unnamed North Korean foreign ministry spokesman published in state media was the country's latest expression of displeasure over the stalled negotiations. It follows two separate launches of short-range missiles earlier this month that were apparently aimed at pressuring Washington and Seoul.

Talks between Washington and Pyongyang have been at a standstill since February, when a meeting between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and President Donald Trump broke down over what the Americans described as excessive North Korean demands for sanctions relief in exchange for a partial surrender of its nuclear capabilities.

EPA CYBERSECURITY WEAKNESSES ARE GOING UNTRACKED AND UNPATCHED

SOURCE: NEXTGOV
The Environmental Protection Agency has a detailed process for dealing with new cybersecurity weaknesses: develop a plan to remediate with clear goals and milestones, then attack the problem. The only issue: Those plans aren’t being logged, managed or tracked, according to the agency inspector general.

The agency created an automated tool for logging vulnerabilities that will take time to remediate and track progress through official plans of action and milestones. According to an inspector general report released Tuesday, many of those plans were never entered into the system, meaning they were never tracked and, in some cases, the vulnerabilities were never patched.

Trump Authorizes $16 Billion To Farmers Affected By Trade War

President Donald Trump authorized the Department of Agriculture (USDA) Thursday to give $16 billion to U.S. farmers suffering from Chinese tariffs, saying that his administration is fighting for farmers “on every front.”

The White House outlined programs intended to help farmers while giving the president time to work out a beneficial trade deal with China. The funding is intended to help farmers hurt by China’s “unjustified trade retaliation,” according to a White House press release.

“On every front, we are fighting for our great farmers, our ranchers, our growers,” Trump said in a statement Thursday.
