Facebook Sent Auditors to Ensure Cambridge Analytica Wasn't Hiding User Data. The U.K. Said 'Get Out'

Facebook failed in an attempt to get a handle on the Cambridge Analytica scandal Monday, after British authorities ordered its auditors to vacate the political consultancy’s offices.

Over the weekend, reports claimed that Cambridge Analytica had bought data on tens of millions of Facebook users that had been extracted from the social network by an academic named Aleksander Kogan. Kogan did so using a personality quiz app, and claimed at the time that the data would just be used for academic purposes, not for targeting voters with tailored messaging.

Facebook apparently knew about the data abuse in 2015, and said it had gained assurances from Cambridge Analytica that the data had been deleted. The weekend reports stated that this was not the case, so Facebook on Monday said it was sending its auditors to Cambridge Analytica’s offices.

Facebook's stock drops AGAIN as thousands vow to quit the social network amid Cambridge Analytica row which saw 51 MILLION users profiles harvested without their knowledge - but Zuckerberg is nowhere to be seen

Facebook's stock plummeted again on Tuesday as the row over how Cambridge Analytica, a political data firm, obtained the data of 51 million users by harvesting profiles on the social network without their knowledge.

The social network's stock opened on the NASDAQ at $167.47 on Tuesday marking a decrease of 2.8% since Monday's close.

It climbed back up to $170 on Tuesday throughout trading but closed at 4pm at $168.15 after dropping as low as $162 per share during the day, its lowest in 2018.

Zuckerberg's own stocks - of which there are 400 million - fell by $6billion in market value as a result of the scandal, dropping from $74billion to $68billion.

Until Friday, Facebook's shares were worth $185.09 each. The company is valued at $488 billion.

Cambridge Analytica’s Facebook MI6 Psyop

If ever there was smoking gun evidence as to who is behind the constant manipulation of global geopolitics, it is the emerging scandal involving Facebook & Cambridge Analytica. The case unravels the Gordian knot which binds British and Israeli intelligence in the service of the City of London bankers.

I have long contended that Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook is an Israeli Mossad intelligence operation designed to gather a dossier on every person on the planet while destroying both the social fabric necessary to challenge banking hegemony via disinformation, division and conflict creation; and the emotional well-being of humanity through cleverly orchestrated psychological warfare.

Fox News analyst quits, calling network ‘propaganda machine’ for Trump

A longtime Fox News contributor said Tuesday he’s leaving the network, and blasted it for becoming a “propaganda machine.”

Ralph Peters, a strategic analyst for Fox News and a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army, issued a scathing email to colleagues that was sharply critical of the network’s rhetoric and support for President Donald Trump.

Monkey on the loose last seen near the King of Diamonds Strip Club, police say

What is this country coming to. We have fugitive monkeys, probably drunk, patronizing strip clubs with the police in hot pursuit!

The monkey mystery deepened Tuesday afternoon, as North Miami Beach cops combing the neighborhood for the small primate weren’t able to confirm if it was the same animal that escaped from a Dania Beach primate lab a few days ago.

That missing monkey’s name is Mikey.

North Miami Beach police, working with the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, are in search of a small as-yet-unnamed monkey that was first spotted early Tuesday morning outside of the popular strip joint, the King of Diamonds.

Someone spotted a monkey as they were leaving that establishment and notified police.

ProPublica Corrects Its Story On Trump's CIA Nominee Gina Haspel And Waterboarding

ProPublica is retracting parts of its story that linked Gina Haspel, President Trump's choice to lead the CIA, with the waterboarding of Abu Zubaydah, a suspected al-Qaida leader who was held at a secret "black site" prison in Thailand in 2002. The investigative newsroom cited new clarifications from CIA insiders as the reason for its correction. It also issued an apology.

From ProPublica:

"We at ProPublica hold government officials responsible for their missteps, and we must be equally accountable.

"This error was particularly unfortunate because it muddied an important national debate about Haspel and the CIA's recent history. To her, and to our readers, we can only apologize, correct the record and make certain that we do better in the future."

BBC Defends Missed Telford Grooming Gangs Coverage After ‘Hundreds of Complaints’

The BBC’s news editor has defended their lack of coverage of the Telford of grooming gang revelations, insisting the corporation is doing the “right thing” in relation to grooming gangs generally.

On the BBC’s NewsWatch programme, presenter Samira Ahmed also revealed they had received “hundreds” of complaints about a perceived initial reluctance to cover the allegations.

Responding to the BBC’s own Ms. Ahmed, James Stephenson, News Editor of BBC News and Current Affairs, admitted that on Monday, after the story broke over the weekend, they did not feature the story on their front-page, and covered it only briefly in their paper review the day before.

Western Media Putin Bashing Following His Electoral Triumph

China’s Xi Jinping congratulated Putin for his overwhelming reelection triumph. So did Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro and Bolivia’s Evo Morales.

Ahead of Sunday voting, London’s Guardian shamefully accused him of “stealing the Russian election,” adding Russia’s process “is an election in name only…a sham and a smokescreen…to confer democratic respectability on to a corrupt oligarchy.”

Scandalous remarks, the Guardian not alone. Other Western media turned truth on its head trashing Russia’s democratic process, calling Putin authoritarian, a dictator and other pejoratives.

Euronews cited convicted embezzler/Putin critic/Western favorite Alexey Navalny disinformation claims of ballot box stuffing, repeat voting and other (nonexistent) irregularities.

The NYT lied claiming turnout was “less than the Kremlin had sought.” It exceeded expectations.

“There was no real need for extensive rigging…because of Mr. Putin’s genuine popularity,” said the Times.

How Many Children Died In School Shootings In 2016-2017?

As information compiled by Michael Medved producer Greg Tomlin shows, in the years 2016 and 2017, at K-12 schools in America, of the 51 million students enrolled, there were seven children killed. That is seven human lives snuffed out, and the agony of the families who suffered the loss is incalculable, but seven is far less than one would suppose from the media coverage, which has misleadingly claimed that there were 18 school shootings in January alone.

Three students were killed in 2016; four in 2017, as totaled from the website EveryTownResearch.org.

One example of how facts get skewed: in one instance, a shooting was deemed a "school shooting" because a person who lived near a school went on a rampage and shot five people in the neighborhood. The school was placed on lockdown, but no student was killed, yet it is still listed as a “school shooting.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

According to the Journal of Patient Safety, medical mistakes kill between 210,000 and 440,000 patients every single year. Why isn't the media screaming about that?

Dear Mark,

Yesterday, you lost $6 billion.

Even for you, one of the five richest men in the world, that’s a big chunk of change.

In the worst day since its inception, your company Facebook drained 7%, or $43 billion, of its entire value.

The reason was very simple: people suddenly don’t trust you.

Channeling Goebbels: Guardian goes full fascist in its portrayal of Putin

In early 1935, the Nazis unleashed an anti-Bolshevik campaign which it initiated with a series of traveling exhibits on the dangers of world Communism. This poster comes from the exhibit in Karlsruhe, the capital city of the German state of Baden. But its imagery is found in almost all of the posters of this exhibit.

Here Bolshevism is represented as a huge red spider, whose head is the familiar grinning skull topped with the red star. Sitting in the Soviet Union, the legs of the spider can still reach out to threaten the entire world.
The Guardian rip-off of Josef Goebbels' Nazi propaganda even copied the red star associated with communist ideology. How stupid - Putin and today's Russia are as capitalistic as it gets.

Parkland Survivor To Trump: 'Show Us That You Aren't Owned By The NRA'

Two student survivors of last month’s deadly shooting at a Parkland, Florida, high school are urging President Donald Trump to break his ties with the National Rifle Association and live up to his pledge to push for stricter U.S. gun laws.

In a Monday interview with CNN, David Hogg and Alfonso Calderon expressed disappointment over the White House’s new gun and school safety proposals, which include arming teachers to help prevent future on-campus shootings. But dropped from the plan was Trump’s call to raise the legal age for buying certain firearms ? including semi-automatic rifles ? from 18 to 21 years old.

Trump endorsed changing the age requirement last month during a bipartisan meeting with lawmakers at the White House in the wake of the Florida shooting in which the suspected gunman used a semi-automatic rifle. The NRA, however, quickly came out against the age proposal.

Vladimir Putin Wins Russia’s 2018 Elections, But CNN Won’t Have It

On March 18th, 2018, on the fourth anniversary of Crimea’s reunification with Russia which revolutionized the chessboard of 21st century geopolitics, the Russian Federation held presidential elections which were marked by some if not surprising, then emphatic features.

As of 23:49 MSK, 88.17% of ballots have been processed. Russian President Vladimir Putin has won re-election with 76.36% of the vote according to Sputnik and RIA Novosti’s live counters and 76.34% according to RT’s data. According to Sputnik, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation’s candidate, Pavel Grudinin, came in second with 12.10%, the Liberal Democratic Party’s Vladimir Zhirinovsky with 5.87%, and the liberal candidate who mostly campaigned in the United States, Ksenia Sobchak, with 1.58%.

Propaganda Press Flailing over Amelia Earhart

Here we go again. In what looks for all the world like desperation on the part of our national opinion molding apparatus, they’ve revived the story that some bones and parts of a skull found in 1940 on the small remote island of Nikumaroro (Gardner Island) belonged to the famous aviator, Amelia Earhart, who was lost in the Pacific, along with navigator Fred Noonan, on a trip around the world in 1937. Those bones had been examined long ago and it was determined that they belonged to a male who was shorter than Earhart and have long since been lost, but now, would you believe, through the miracle of modern computer techniques, a single professor emeritus “expert” is telling us that those lost bones were almost certainly Amelia Earhart’s. On top of that, this new “discovery” got saturation coverage right across the permitted political spectrum from Fox News to National Public Radio.

Syrian War For Dummies - Three Versions

As the Ghouta campaign continues to unfold, we should expect that both politicians and mainstream media will give us - in the words of philosopher and theologian Reinhold Niebuhr - "necessary illusion and emotionally potent oversimplifications" intended to shape our perceptions of events.

This worldview is what BBC filmmaker Adam Curtis accurately characterized as a 'goodies and baddies' dualistic vision of global events which keeps the Western public under the illusion that its own political leaders are perpetually driven by concern over human rights, defending the weak and oppressed, and spreading democracy over and against the unenlightened megalomaniac dictators of the world who are simply bent on brutalizing their own people.

Lies Can Lead To War

Notice that the governments of the US, UK, France, and Germany did not require any evidence to decide that the Russian government used military-grade nerve gas to attack two people on an English park bench and a UK policeman. It makes no sense. There is no Russian motive.

The motive lies in the West. It is the latest orchestration in the ongoing demonization of Russia. The demonization is a huge boost to the power and profit of the military/security complex and prevents President Trump from normalizing relations. The military/security’s budget and power require a major enemy, and Russia is the designated enemy and will not be allowed to escape that assigned role.

No One Mentions That The Russian Trail Leads To Democratic Lobbyists

The media has focused not on K Street but on the Russian ties of President Donald Trump’s associates. They list the reprehensible Kremlin-associated figures for whom members of his inner circle worked, the most notorious being Viktor Yanukovich, the deposed president of Ukraine, and fugitive oligarch, Dymtro Firtash. But both of these “repulsive” figures were also advised by Democratic top dogs, who likely earned large multiples of what the “small fry” Trump associates took home.

In pushing its Manchurian-candidate-Trump narrative, the media fail to mention the much deeper ties of Democratic lobbyists to Russia. Don’t worry, the media seems to say: Even though they are representing Russia, the lobbyists are good upstanding citizens, not like the Trump people. They can be trusted with such delicate matters.

How Facebook protects Israel

The Israeli authorities are exerting pressure on Facebook to comply with more of their demands.

Earlier this month, members of Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, discussed how to suppress content of which they disapproved on the social media website.

One objective was to get Facebook to ban pictures of Ahmad Nasser Jarrar, a Palestinian extrajudicially executed by the Israeli army in February. Human rights groups have concluded that the military sought to kill, rather than arrest, Jarrar, a suspect in the shooting death of an Israeli settler in the occupied West Bank.

Uri Maklev, an Israeli lawmaker, claimed there is a “correlation between social networks and terror operations,” and that “Facebook is responsible for what is being done on its platform” and must do “everything to remove such content.”

According to Israel’s state attorney office, the Israeli government requests an average of 12,000 cases of content to be removed from Facebook each year.

Facebook ‘Hid Webpages’ And Bragged About Ability To Influence Elections

While many leftists in the United States are still screeching about “election meddling” by Russia, they may want to take a long look at Facebook. The social media giant actually hid webpages and bragged about its ability to influence elections.

According to The Intercept, when Mark Zuckerberg was asked if Facebook had influenced the outcome of the 2016 presidential election, the founder, and CEO dismissed the notion that the site even had such power as “crazy.” It was a disingenuous remark. Facebook’s website had, in fact, an entire section devoted to touting the “success stories” of political campaigns that used the social network to influence electoral outcomes. That page, however, is now gone, even as the 2018 congressional primaries get underway.

MSM, Brookings Reveals Plan To "Bleed" Syria In Absence Of Defeat On The Battlefield

By Brandon Turbeville

A recent opinion piece written by Tim Lister for CNN entitled “Assad May Win Syria’s War, But He Will Preside Over A Broken Country,” has unintentionally revealed part of the plan for Syria maintained by the United States, Israel, GCC, and NATO. In lieu of the complete destruction of the Syrian government, the “coalition” of invaders seems to be focusing on their Plan B goal of “federalization” and fracturing of Syria using Kurds, Islamic terrorists, and other religious/ethnic groups to create a collection of religious/ethno states incapable of resisting the will of world powers and one very specific regional power...

You Won’t Believe Who In The Deep State Leaked The Russia Dossier To CNN

Last January, CNN revealed the existence of the fake news Russia dossier.

They didn’t publish it, the publication was laundered through Buzzfeed, and once its existence became public, the rumor of collusion – despite no evidence – began to swirl.

But who leaked it to CNN?

Now there is an answer.

Firstly, Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee are set to release a report with several key findings.

Chief among them is that there is no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

But sources familiar with the report and the investigation told investigative journalist Sara Carter that James Clapper – Obama’s former Director of National Intelligence – was the individual who leaked the dossier’s existence to CNN.

Confirmed: Facebook’s Recent Algorithm Change Is Crushing Conservative Sites, Boosting Liberals

Facebook’s much-publicized demotion of publishers’ content in users’ news feeds has negatively impacted conservative-leaning publishers significantly more than liberal-leaning outlets, an analysis by The Western Journal has revealed.

Liberal publishers have gained about 2 percent more web traffic from Facebook than they were getting prior to the algorithm changes implemented in early February.

On the other hand, conservative publishers have lost an average of nearly 14 percent of their traffic from Facebook.

This algorithm change, intentional or not, has in effect censored conservative viewpoints on the largest social media platform in the world. This change has ramifications that, in the short-term, are causing conservative publishers to downsize or fold up completely, and in the long-term could swing elections in the United States and around the world toward liberal politicians and policies.

BEX ALERT - In a first, U.S. blames Russia for cyber attacks on energy grid

The Trump administration on Thursday blamed the Russian government for a campaign of cyber attacks stretching back at least two years that targeted the U.S. power grid, marking the first time the United States has publicly accused Moscow of hacking into American energy infrastructure.

Largest US Radio Company Files For Bankruptcy

On Thursday, iHeartMedia - the largest radio conglomerate in the US - finally succumbed to its enormous debt burden and filed for a long-anticipated Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection (iHeartMedia Inc., 18-31274, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Texas) after the company and a majority of its creditors reached an agreement for a prepack deal to eliminate tens of billions in debt while the company continues to operate.

After trying to negotiate a deal with creditors since last March, the company said in a statement that it had reached an agreement in principle with investors holding more than $10 billion of its debt, along with its private equity owners. The pact, intended to give the company a framework for a speedier reorganization, would cut iHeart’s debt by more than $10 billion, it said.

Youtube Reveals Plan to Erase Conspiracy Theory Videos From Platform

You have to understand what we're dealing with here, an extreme tyrant by the name of Susan Wojcicki.

Who is she?

Her sister is Anne and Anne is married to Google co-founder, Sergey Brin. Susan is also worth ~$400 million -- and she's very smart, and she's been the CEO of Youtube since 2014. However, after the elections, the free speech mood over at YT changed and Susan promised to do something about it. She promised to crack down on fake news and also demonetize hate speech. Because the platform is so big, she deployed machine learning idiot robots to do this. The subsequent result was the complete destruction of the Youtube community. People who've made their lives on YT, professional vloggers, went from making hundreds of thousands to almost nothing at all. The iBankCoin channel, which is now suspended for posting "hate speech" in the form of a CNN interview, went from netting monthly revenues of $4,000 to a few hundred bucks. Lucky for me, I don't need that money.

Google To Ban All Crypto Advertisements In June

Google is set to ban all cryptocurrency-related advertising starting in June 2018, according to a recent update to their Financial Services policy.

The news of a crypto ad ban comes just days after crypto advertisers using Google AdWords noticed a drastic drop in the number of views of their advertisements and decrease in revenue, according to posts on the AdWords support pages. However, Google AdWords had at that time denied any change in their Financial Services regulations that would block cryptocurrency or Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) related advertisements.

Under Google’s newly updated Financial Services policy, no advertisements for “cryptocurrencies and related content (including but not limited to ICOs, foreign cryptocurrency exchanges, cryptocurrency wallets, and cryptocurrency trading advice),” will be allowed on the advertising network.

Shameless Putin bounces on stage at rally to celebrate annexation of Crimea as Russia warns 'our response will not be long in coming' after May vows to expel 23 spies, cancels contact with Moscow and calls for sanctions

Vladimir Putin beamed on stage at a political rally in annexed Crimea yesterday as his country issued dark threats of revenge against Britain over Theresa May's pledge to expel 23 spies over the Salisbury nerve agent attack.

The Russian president bounced around apparently unconcerned by a day of dramatic developments in the chemical weapon poisoning of ex-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter - a subject he failed to mention in speeches.

Putin's chilling performance came as Mrs May - with the backing of the UN - vowed a raft of punitive measures against Russia, a move the Kremlin branded 'absolutely unacceptable' as they warned: 'Our response measures will not be long in coming.'

Speaking to MPs, Mrs May yesterday gave Russia's 'undeclared intelligence agents' a week to leave the UK in the biggest banishment of diplomats in a generation.

FEC introduces proposal to change digital political ad requirements

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) introduced a draft proposal Wednesday that would amend regulations on online political advertising.

The two new proposals would change rules around internet communication disclaimers and change the agency’s definition of “public communication.”

“Both proposals are intended to give the American public easy access to information about the persons paying for and candidates authorizing these internet communications, pursuant to the Federal Election Campaign Act,” the draft proposal reads.

Currently, public communication is defined by the FEC as excluding internet communications, except for paid advertising on a website. The agency wants to expand this to reflect how the internet has changed and exists across platforms now across different types of apps on a range of devices like tablets, smartphones, computers and TVs.

Christopher Steele As Seen By the New Yorker

The latest salvo in the Russiagate saga is a 15,000 word New Yorker article entitled “Christopher Steele the man behind the Trump dossier: how the ex-spy tried to warn the world about Trump’s ties to Russia” by veteran journalist Jane Mayer. The premise of the piece is clear from the tediously long title, namely that the Steele dossier, which implicated Donald Trump and his associates in a number of high crimes and misdemeanors, is basically accurate in exposing an existential threat posed to our nation by Russia. How does it come to that conclusion? By citing sources that it does not identify whose credibility is alleged to be unimpeachable as well as by including testimony from Steele friends and supporters.

'EU uses left-wingers to sell its propaganda!' Italy's Salvini STUNS press conference

The leader of the Italian League party, who is in the run to form Italy’s new government after successful results in the Italian election, accused journalists interrupting him during a press conference of being “lefties” unhappy about the election results.

Mr Salvini was addressing the European Parliament in a press conference aimed at announcing his resignation as an MEP following his victory in the Italian Senate on March 4.

MEPs from the Europe of Freedom and Democracy party, of which Mr Salvini is a member, applauded the Italian politician as he began to address the EU Parliament.

The BBC’s shameful silence on the Telford sex scandal

We once again learn how, over the course of four decades, every arm of the state – including council staff, social workers and the police – allowed the mass gang-rape of children to go on in their town. And we learn – once again – how fear of accusations of ‘racism’ meant that the identities of the culprits were hidden and cases were not investigated.

Modern Newspeak: How Internet Censors Are Making Sure You Hear Only One Side of the Story

It's not breaking news that the internet censors have been hard at work to silence voices that are in opposition to the mainstream media agenda. But after the influence that social media had on the last election, things are going to a whole new level. The internet, that last bastion of truly free speech, isn't very free anymore.

We're watching the evolution of Newspeak right before our very eyes as the internet strives to silence any voices that oppose their carefully crafted stories of how guns are bad, there are 291 genders, and anyone who isn't a liberal is an evil Nazi racist.

London Mayor Tries To Justify Mass Censorship By Reading Mean-Tweets

London Mayor Sadiq Kahn read a list of half-dozen racist tweets about himself to a crowd at the annual SXSW festival in Austin, TX Monday.

"I say kill the mayor of London and you'll be rid of one Muslim terrorist," Khan quoted to the audience. "I'd pay for someone to execute Sadiq Khan."

Kahn, the first Muslim mayor of a Western capital, implored tech companies to censor "hate speech," - which has recently become a catchall from everything from death threats to opposing longstanding symbols of actual oppression, such as hijabs.

The London mayor said he didn't want to be "portrayed as a victim" or "ask for sympathy." Instead, he wants to tech companies to police people's feelings by going further in "making the internet free of hate speech."

"But ask yourself this: What happens when young boys and girls from minority backgrounds see this kind of thing on their timelines or experience this themselves?" said Khan.

The Western war on truth

The “war on terror” has simultaneously been a war on truth. For fifteen years—from 9/11 to Saddam Hussein’s “weapons of mass destruction” and “al Qaeda connections,” “Iranian nukes,” “Assad’s use of chemical weapons,” endless lies about Gadaffi, “Russian invasion of Ukraine”—the governments of the so-called Western democracies

Britain's Toxic Agenda for Russian Media

Relations between Britain and Russia have become so toxic now that anyone working with Russian news media is liable to be condemned as a stooge or traitor.

Senior Labour party member John McDonnell, the shadow finance minister, has conceded this week that fellow opposition politicians "may be banned from appearing on Russian news media" following the furore over allegations that Moscow carried out an assassination attempt in Britain last week.

Other reports have called on Britain's state media regulator, Ofcom, to cancel the broadcast license for Russian government-owned news outlet RT. That move is being touted as "appropriate retaliation" for Moscow's alleged involvement in the apparent poison attack on Sergei Skripal and his adult daughter.

Activist: DeVos’ ‘60 Minutes’ Interview Shows She’s a ‘Clear White Supremacist’

An interview that United States Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos sat down for with "60 Minutes" journalist Lesley Stahl aired on Sunday - and it was a trainwreck, critics say.

With DeVos struggling to offer sound evidence for how her decisions have improved student performance, critics deemed the interview yet more evidence the Michigan native is unqualified for her job.

Speaking with Radio Sputnik's Loud & Clear, Bill Ayers, an activist, educator, and author of the book "Demand the Impossible: A Radical Manifesto," doubled down on the notion that the 60-year-old official "hates public education."

Russia to Ban All UK Media Outlets if RT Closed in Great Britain - Moscow

The OFCOM regulator reported earlier in the day it was going to consider whether the TV channel is "fit and proper" to have a UK license in case Russia is found to be involved in the poisoning of ex-spy Sergei Skripal.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Tuesday that none of the British media outlets will be allowed to work in Russia, if London bans Russia Today television in the UK.

"I can tell you right now that no British mass media outlet will be allowed to work in our country if they [the UK authorities] close RT," Zakharova said in the "60 Minutes" program aired on Rossiya 1 television.

Google Will Prioritize Stories for Paying News Subscribers

Google users who subscribe to newspapers will find articles from those publications appearing higher in their search results, part of the tech giant’s efforts to help media companies find and retain paying readers, according to people familiar with the matter.

The Alphabet unit will also begin sharing search data that show who’s most likely to buy a subscription, said the people, who asked to be anonymous because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly. Google executives plan to disclose specific details at an event in New York on March 20, according to the people. Google declined to comment.
