Ethics Professor Says It’s “Quite Reasonable” to Kill Disabled Babies via Obamacare

A professor at the highly esteemed Princeton University doesn’t want his Obamacare premiums to increase because of caring for severely disabled babies. Dr. Pete Singer, who teaches ethics (but perhaps needs a little refresher on what the word “ethics” means) argued during a radio interview on Sunday that America should be more accepting of “intentionally ending the lives of severely disabled infants.”

Two Suicides at the Capitol – Both Said “Tax The 1%”

Two years ago, a 57-yr old veteran killed himself, right before our eyes, at the capitol, wearing a sign that read “Tax the 1%.” Yet no one in the media blinked an eye. No one even asked who he was or why he killed himself.

Four days ago, a 22-yr old man killed himself, at the capitol, with the same sign attached to his hand. Yet nothing in the mainstream media. No one made the connection – no acknowledgement of this trend.

How many others must take their lives, at the altar of this grisly system, before Americans “get” the message that these men tried to send?

NY Times: Would You Let The IRS Prepare Your Taxes?

Around this time every year, Joseph Bankman, a professor of tax law at Stanford Law School and a longtime advocate of using technology to simplify tax filing, gets on the phone with reporters to explain what is wrong with how we do our taxes in the United States. Every year he says pretty much the same thing: No other industrialized country asks its citizens to jump through as many hoops to calculate their taxes as ours.

It isn’t just lawmakers or the hapless-seeming Internal Revenue Service that is perpetuating the annoyance of tax time, he adds. Instead it is the private sector — specifically, the software company Intuit, which makes TurboTax, the most popular tax program in the country.

For more than a decade, Mr. Bankman and a small group of tax experts have called on the government to create a tax preparation method that they say would vastly reduce the time and cost of tax-filing for most people. Intuit has been a primary obstacle to the effort.

Hillary Clinton – the ‘Liberal’ Puppet for War

Hillary Clinton this week launched her bid for the US presidential elections in 2016.

Clinton’s Republican rivals or would-be rivals immediately fired the brickbats, accusing the 67-year-old former First Lady of being a «Washington insider» and the «embodiment of all that is wrong» in US politics.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is lambasted by Republicans as a «liberal».

Whether described as «liberal», «conservative» or «hawk» – all American presidential candidates are the same in practice. Puppets for sale.

The unintended irony of Clinton’s Republican detractors, who include rabid rightwing Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, as well as the maverick Senator Rand Paul, is that every single one of them will have to spend similar amounts of cash in their anticipated presidential campaigns.

Republicans Push $269 Billion Handout For Millionaire Heirs And Heiresses

House Republicans this week will vote to hand the heirs and heiresses of America's largest fortunes a $269 billion tax break by repealing the federal inheritance tax.

The legislation would shield the very richest families from taxes on the fortunes they inherit. After years of GOP attacks on the inheritance tax, also known as the estate tax, only a few thousand of the wealthiest families are subjected to it -- 4,700 total in 2013, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation. Only individual fortunes worth over $5.43 million can be taxed under current law, an amount that doubles to $10.86 million for wealthy couples. The Republican proposal would eliminate all of these estates -- which are over 15,700 percent richer than the median American household -- from taxation.

Sens. McCain and Levin urged IRS to target Tea Party, conservative groups

Government documents obtained by a top "Inside the Beltway" watchdog group and released on Thursday reveal that Internal Revenue Service's Lois Lerner was strongly urged by Sen. Carl Levin, D-Michigan, and Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, her assistance in attacking certain non-profit political groups. The organizations they selected for targeting by Lerner were part of the Tea Party and conservative movements.
Newly released documents revealed that Sen. Levin (left) and Sen. McCain both urged the IRS to target conservative groups in the wake of the Citizens United decision.

The group that investigates and exposes government corruption, Judicial Watch, released newly acquired IRS documents, including an email from Ms. Lerner in February 2012 requesting she “put together some training points to help them [IRS staffers] understand the potential pitfalls of revealing too much information to Congress."

Press Release - Tax Day - We Refuse to Pay for War and Weapons

“Dear IRS”
We Refuse to Pay for War and Weapons

“We cannot in conscience pay for the killing of other human beings or pay for war and preparations for war.”

“I have not included a check for the amount I still owe for 2014, about half of my total income tax bill. I do not voluntarily pay for government programs that involve killing human beings or requiring them to kill others.”

"As I calculate my total taxes ‘owed’ I like to dream about how the money will be used. Instead of paying for drones or bombs I am paying to ensure that everyone has access to basic needs and the tools needed to succeed in our community."

As April 15, tax day, approaches, thousands of individuals — like David and Jan Hartsough, Elizabeth Boardman, and Ari Rosenberg quoted above — sit down and write letters to the IRS, Congresspeople, the President, newspapers, blogs, and friends and family explaining why they protest war with their taxes.

Andrew Concha came out into the hall holding a purple sign. He checked his watch — 11:04 a.m. — then calculated how many people could be seen before the Taxpayer Assistance Center closed at 4:30 p.m. He placed the sign behind the 17th customer, signaling to the other 30 or so in line that their chance of seeing a specialist that day was slim.

“I’m not technically turning them away yet,” Concha explained. “I’m letting them know it may not be in their interest to wait three to four hours to see someone.”

With Tax Day approaching, it was the best the IRS could offer.

More Unofficial Capital Controls: PFIC Rules

By Nick Giambruno, Senior Editor
Casey Research

It ranks at the very top of potential tax nightmares, especially if you invest internationally.

This nightmare could become a reality if you happen to invest in what the IRS deems a Passive Foreign Investment Company (PFIC), which are taxed at exorbitant rates and have highly complex reporting rules. Most foreign mutual funds are PFICs, as are certain foreign stocks.

It’s not illegal to invest in a PFIC, but practically speaking, the costs of doing it are so incredibly onerous that it’s prohibitively expensive in the vast majority of cases.

PFIC rules amount to unofficial restrictions on investing in certain foreign assets and are yet another indicator of the disturbing trend of creeping capital controls in the US...

IRS chief to GOP: You can't abolish us

The IRS commissioner on Tuesday brushed aside GOP proposals to abolish his agency, insisting the U.S. would have to have a tax collector one way or another.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The arrogance is staggering. First off, the Constitution bans non-apportioned direct taxation on the people, and that provision has never been repealed. Awareness that the 16th Amendment was not actually ratified is starting to gain traction among a population now aware that the government lies about everything! When this nation was founded, taxes were collected from businesses, tariffs, and import duties, which did not require a massive bureaucracy prying into the lives of every citizen.

Yes, the IRS can be abolished (along with the personal income tax).

Dem senators warn Obamacare rule 'particularly harmful and disruptive'

Six Democratic senators and one independent have asked the Department of Health and Human Services to a delay a new rule that would likely force small businesses to pay more for employee health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare. The senators warn that if the administration goes ahead with the change it would be "particularly harmful and disruptive" to small businesses.

Starting in 2016, the Obamacare change will require businesses that employ between 51-100 people to purchase insurance in what the government defines as the "small group market," rather than the market for large group plans. The senators warn that the change will inflate health care costs for those businesses.

George Osborne’s Budget will threaten workers' retirement funds with 55% stealth tax

Analysts say proposals in Chancellor George Osborne’s Budget will hit not just the rich, but also those on more modest incomes.

Mr Osborne claimed a move to lower the “lifetime allowance” – the maximum that can be saved into a pension pot before a 55 per cent penal tax kicks in – from £1.25million to £1million, would affect “fewer than four per cent” of people. But experts argue that the allowance has now almost halved from £1.8million since 2010 and the tax will hit older savers who have built up their pension pots over many years.

Greg Kingston, of Suffolk Life, part of Legal & General, said: “Even a 21-year-old on the forthcoming higher minimum wage of £6.70 per hour who works a 35-hour week and puts 20 per cent of their earnings into a pension, by the time they are 67, could easily have reached this limit.”

Stephen King says Maine Gov. Paul LePage should "man up and apologize" after the governor claimed the author has moved away and doesn't pay income taxes in Maine.

EU calls for tracking computers in all vehicles to monitor, regulate travel

The controlling surveillance state is deepening, prying further into people's lives like a chisel carving its way through skin and bone. Governments have become opportunistic control freaks, centralizing their micromanagement powers whenever possible. Now the European Union is rolling out plans to monitor travel on all European roads, tracking drivers' mileages and time traveled per vehicle. This controlling scheme is not for surveillance alone; it's essentially a plan to tax every driver for the for the distance they travel on European roads.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Of course, people in Europe (and the US) are already taxed for the miles they drive with taxes on gasoline and tires. The more you drive the more you pay in those existing taxes. Adding another mileage tax (along with more surveillance) means people will be less likely to go shopping, or go to a restaurant, or theater, or sporting event, or tourist destination, meaning more of those businesses will be shut down. In the long term, adding more taxes will mean less tax revenue overall.

(Truthstream Media.com) Environmental offenses are carrying increasingly heavy prices, as the 21st Century tends towards tightly controlled urban living.

Cities like New York are now closely monitoring the impact of human activity and assessing new fines and fees for excess. Take a new bill to regulate “idle cars,” an issue that NY Councilwoman Helen Rosenthal says “is a real environmental problem and a real public health problem” that contributes to pollution death, but is little enforced.

Rosenthal’s bill would increase fines for idling to up to $1500 for a first offense and $2000 for a second offense, while offering a cut of the money to resident snitches who record video of the offending vehicles and turn in their idling neighbors.

Senator: Don't Use Obamacare or Russian Mobsters Will Steal Your Identity

Freshman US Senator Tom Cotton is currently enjoying his 15-minutes of glorious, Republican fame after organizing the Congressional letter to Iranian leadership. But long before his heyday of mailing potentially illegal memos, Cotton had a different strategy for gaining prominence: warning the uninsured about Obamacare and the Russian mob.

Hillary Clinton scandal spreads as tea party group seeks private IRS emails

One of the tea party groups targeted by the IRS asked Congress Monday to demand the private emails of some agency employees, while a top committee chairman issued a request for instant-chat messages from the EPA, as the Clinton emails scandal begins to envelop other parts of the Obama administration.

The White House, meanwhile, tried to keep the burgeoning scandal at arm’s length, with spokesman Josh Earnest acknowledging President Obama and Mrs. Clinton did email, but insisting the White House followed all record-keeping laws, and the president didn’t know Mrs. Clinton was exclusively using a private email until reports surfaced last week.

Britain has one of lowest petrol prices in Europe BEFORE tax but among the highest after VAT and duty is added

Ministers including Mr Osborne and his Lib Dem deputy Danny Alexander have repeatedly said the price on forecourts must fall to reflect the cheaper wholesale costs for fuel firms.

But official data released by the government shows that the pre-tax costs of petrol has fallen to just 32.4p per litre, the second lowest in all of the EU.
But tax adds another 76p per litre, making it the fifth highest behind the Netherlands, Italy, Malta and Greece.

It means tax makes up 70 per cent of the total price of a litre of fuel, the joint highest with the Netherlands.

The Punishment for Ignoring Obamacare Penalty Might Surprise You

Now that April 15th is on the horizon, many taxpayers are bracing themselves for the inevitable penalty that will hit them if they don’t sign up for Obamacare. It’s estimated that at least 3 million households may have to pony up 1% of their income, or $95 per adult, if they don’t have insurance; a number which is poised to expand to 2.5% for the 2016 tax year.

However, for all its bluster and intimidating language, the Affordable Care Act might not have any teeth. Recently, a tax expert writing for Forbes noticed that Obamacare, while far-reaching and burdensome in terms of what it demands from the American people, offers little to no repercussion for anyone who would be tempted to avoid it.

Opting Out Of The Obamacare Tax: What Happens If You Don't Pay?

Last month, the Obama administration announced that between three and six million households – about 2 to 4 % of taxpayers – would be faced with a penalty (or is it a tax?) at tax time for failing to secure “minimum essential coverage” to comply with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), sometimes referred to as Obamacare.

Finally! The US is busting Israeli banks

Bank Leumi, Israel's second largest bank, admitted late last year to helping its American customers evade income taxes, hide assets, and launder their money back into the United States. The bank agreed to pay $130 million in fines to New York regulators and another $270 million to the federal government, and assist in an ongoing probe of other Israeli banks.

But I know that the FBI and SEC have known about this for decades because I personally flagged it to them in 1989

A reminder that the rich do not in fact pay their "fair share" of taxes. Taxes are for the slaves to pay!

"There’s Going To Be Chaos" - What Is The Worst-Case Outcome Of Today's Supreme Court Obamacare Hearing

As Bloomberg also notes, a decision against the Obama administration would wipe out the tax credits that make insurance affordable for millions of people under the law. It would also leave hospitals with billions of dollars in unpaid bills and potentially cause insurance markets to collapse.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I predict that once again Roberts will be "persuaded" to rule in favor of the White House.

FLASHBACK - Congress’s Obamacare Waiver

On July 30, I predicted that, even though he had no authority to do so, President Obama would waive that provision at taxpayers’ expense. On August 1, he ignobly obliged the aristocracy by decreeing we peasants give each member and staffer $5,000 or $11,000, depending on whether they want self-only or family coverage. It’s good to be king. The president’s supporters, like courtesans of old, are trying to quell a peasant uprising by denying there were any special favors. The denials ring hollow.

HSBC tax dodge: George Osborne squirms as he refuses to answer questions on scandal SIX times

Father Tony McSweeney chalked up a number of notable additions to his CV during a lifetime supposedly devoted to the service of children and God.

He said Mass at Norwich City Football Club at the request of its celebrity cook owner Delia Smith, and conducted the marriage of world heavyweight boxing champion Frank Bruno.

He also received the prestigious Silver Acorn for decades of ‘dedication’ to the global Scout movement and his co-authorship of its official songbook.

Last week, he even boasted of being the ‘world expert’ on organising campfire get-togethers.

But now he must add a chilling new entry to his list of achievements: he has become the first paedophile to be tried and convicted after being linked to allegations of a VIP ring based at an infamous South London guesthouse who preyed on boys from a nearby care home.

Affidavit: First IRS Tech to Inspect Lois Lerner Hard Drive Was Blind

IRS officials initially claimed Lerner’s hard drive was irreparably damaged before it was destroyed in 2011.

But last year, investigators with the House Ways and Means Committee interviewed IRS technical experts who said the hard drive was merely scratched and not irreparable, The Hill has reported.

"The Committee was told no data was recoverable and the physical drive was recycled and potentially shredded," then-Ways and Means Committee Chairman Rep. Dave Camp said just days after Manning’s July 18 affidavit was filed, according to the Daily Caller.

"To now learn that the hard drive was only scratched, yet the IRS refused to utilize outside experts to recover the data, raises more questions about potential criminal wrong doing at the IRS."
