The Social Impacts of Drug Trafficking and Heroin in America

For eight years President Obama has been the commander-in-chief of U.S. armed forces in Afghanistan, a country that produces 90% of the opium in the world. ¹ With a stroke of his pen Obama could shut off most of the drug supply to 17 million heroin and opium addicts. Instead, his legacy is the same as George W. Bush. He allowed drugs to flow unimpeded out of Afghanistan for both terms of his presidency.

In a September 17, 2016 speech to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, President Obama insisted that it would be a personal insult to him if African Americans do not vote for Hillary Clinton. He said that only she can continue his legacy of support for the black community.

Wait. A legacy of support for the black community. Really?

Donald Trump Is Right: America’s Infrastructure Is Falling Apart

The amount of money that the US Transportation takes in ever year, particularly within the Tri-State Area, is truly staggering – some would argue that is in the trillions of dollars per year with the obscene amount of tolls, taxes (federal state and local) as well as the other methods of raising revenue that should be earmarked for American infrastructure – the ultimate question is where the hell is all of this money going?

People constantly talk about “Auditing the Fed,” but what about auditing the US Department of Transportation?

When Is Direct Military Intervention Not Direct Military Intervention?

“President Obama has long refused to approve direct military intervention in Syria,” the New York Times asserted in an editorial (9/29/16) about “Vladimir Putin’s Outlaw State.”

That’s a peculiar thing to say, given that the Times regularly covers the United States’ ongoing direct military intervention in Syria. Since 2014, according to official Pentagon figures, the US has carried out 5,337 airstrikes in Syria. According to the monitoring group Airwars, these airstrikes (along with a few hundred strikes by US allies) have likely killed between 818 and 1,229 Syrian civilians.

Wells Fargo fined $24 million over servicemember loans

Wells Fargo & Co was fined about $24 million on Thursday by federal regulators for alleged violations of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, piling more pressure on the bank already embroiled in a sales abuse scandal.

Wells Fargo Bank, doing business as Wells Fargo Dealer Services, agreed to pay more than $4.1 million after the Justice Department alleged it repossessed 413 cars owned by servicemembers without obtaining a court order.

US protecting Syria jihadist group - Russia's Lavrov

"They [the US] pledged solemnly to take as a priority an obligation to separate the opposition from Nusra," he said.

"They still, in spite of many repeated promises and commitments... are not able or not willing to do this and we have more and more reasons to believe that from the very beginning the plan was to spare Nusra and to keep it just in case for Plan B or stage two when it would be time to change the regime."

'US has always been main sponsor of Islamic State' - former CIA contractor to RT

The US claim that Russian troops will go home in body bags if Moscow doesn't end its Aleppo offensive is absurd, former CIA contractor Steven Kelley told RT. He said Russia is the only answer to defeating ISIS. Other experts also weigh in on the subject.

When asked about State Department spokesperson John Kirby's warning that Russia “will continue to send troops home in body bags” if it doesn't put an end to the offensive, Kelley said Washington is pretending to be fighting Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) when it isn't doing so at all.

Yemen Resistance Shatters Saudi Arabia Territorial Integrity

If Saudi Arabia continues to exude control and political confidence from behind the billions of dollars its large coffers have offered its elite by way of immunity, the kingdom never planned for Yemen Resistance to rise a colossus against its theocracy … and yet it did.

Against all odds, and one may add despite all odds, the poorest of all nations, the most downtrodden of people managed by the strength of their arms to not only push against several military super-powers, but also to breach al-Saud’s borders to sing defiant freedom.

Trident nuclear submarine officers destroy Navy bar in drunken riot after 3 months at sea

Royal Navy officers returning from a three-month patrol on a nuclear submarine have been ordered to turn themselves in after devastating a bar and cinema in a drunken rampage.

The senior Trident submarine crew trashed the Faslane naval base Neptune Cinema after a civilian who manned the bar clocked off, leaving an ‘honesty bar.’

A source at the base told the Daily Record that ordinary sailors would be “up on charges” over the crime, so “officers shouldn’t be treated any different.”

America Deserves Better, More Importantly, the World Deserves Better

Clinton will be Clinton no matter the debating points, and Clinton represents the very darkest heart of a governing establishment many Americans and most of the world are simply sick of, an unresponsive group of privileged people who lie consistently and squander resources doing horrible things. They bomb and destroy and support tyrants in a dozen places, always lying about what they are doing, and they take no interest in the sheer lack of justice and decency at home, unless you count their token words at election time. There is no more perfect representative of this pattern of behavior than Hillary Clinton.

US Outcry Over Syria... Tears Followed By NATO Bombs

The crescendo of US-led condemnations against Syria and Russia over alleged humanitarian crimes in Syria grows louder by the day. The eerie sense is that this «outcry» is being orchestrated as a prelude to a NATO-style intervention in Syria.

Russia says US inviting terrorists to attack its cities

Russia has denounced US projection of possible attacks on Russian cities by terrorists fighting in Syria, saying the statement amounts to an invitation to terrorism.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov was outraged on Thursday after US State Department spokesman John Kirby said terrorists in Syria could launch attacks "against Russian interests, perhaps even Russian cities."

"We cannot interpret this as anything else apart from the current US administration's de facto support for terrorism," Ryabkov was quoted as saying.

Washington has Just Declared War on Russia

Nobel Peace Prize laureate, US President Barack Obama has been steadfastly pursuing a policy of armed interventions and conflicts across the globe longer and more extensively than any other president in recent US history. Now he’s sounding an advance against Russia, paying no heed to the fact that it may result in world war followed promptly by mutual nuclear annihilation.

One could hardly make a compelling argument how else one can explain the statement made by Spokesperson for the US State Department, Rear Admiral John F. Kirby, other than a direct declaration of war. The statement reads as follows:

"When Hillary Gets Scared, She Plays The Russia Card"

George H. W. Bush’s unsurprising support for Hillary Clinton strengthens the alliance of careful, conniving warmongers (including both neocon and “liberal interventionist” camps), admiring former generals, middle and upper-class “Clinton Coalition” African-Americans (including clerics and TV commentators like MSNBC’s awful anchor/DNC shill Joy Reid snarling first about Bernie as much as Trump, and now trashing Putin along with Trump), Wall Street donors, older women too driven by identity politics, masochistic and naive former Bernie supporters settling for “the lesser evil,” and miscellaneous communities of the confused.

It is a rainbow coalition of everyone she needs on board when she starts bombing Syria—seriously bombing Syria, courageously doing so one-upping Barack Obama (who she thinks blew his opportunities to take out Assad in 2011 and 2013) and producing another regime change accompanied by her triumphant Tarzan yell. This time it will be: “We came, we saw, Syria died!”

Hysteria at UN Betrays Western Terror Sponsors

Hysteria and histrionics at the United Nations Security Council from the three permanent members, the United States, Britain and France, was tantamount to a signed confession. Ironically, one can imagine how the wording of such a «confession» would go: We the intensely vexed members are hereby displaying our boorish displeasure that the terror proxies we covertly sponsor in Syria for regime change are being thrashed.

Such was the tawdry display of undiplomatic conduct by the US, Britain and France, with officials from these countries inveighing against Russia with unsubstantiated, sensationalist accusations of committing war crimes. The intemperance was then followed by tantrums and walk-outs from the Security Council meeting – a meeting that these three members had originally convened.

‘Russia will continue to send troops home in body bags’: US warns Moscow if Syria violence goes on

Unless Russia “stops the violence” in Syria, extremists would “exploit the vacuum” to attack Russian interests and even cities, the US State Department has said.

“Extremist groups will continue to exploit the vacuums that are there in Syria to expand their operations, which could include attacks against Russian interests, perhaps even Russian cities. Russia will continue to send troops home in body bags, and will continue to lose resources, perhaps even aircraft,” John Kirby, the State Department's spokesperson, told reporters at Wednesday's press briefing.

The future of the ISIS Caliphate has been clear (to me) since at least 2003 when I wrote my sequel to God’s Debris, titled The Religion War. The Nation: U.S. loses title of the best world army

"Kill and destroy" - those are the two only things that the U.S. military is capable of, points out Nick Turse, an author published in the edition The Nation. He is sure that that the army of the USA doesn't have any political aims. That's why we can't name the U.S. "the best army in the world". Earlier the U.S. president Barack Obama said that the american military forces are the most powerful force ever. Back in 2001, George Bush Jr. maid the same annoucement. "In the years between those two moments of high-flown rhetoric, the United States military fought in nine conflicts. The record of the greatest fighting force in the history of the world: zero wins, two losses, and seven ties", - highlights Turse... Turse explains that the "Gray zone" is an increasingly popular term of the trade for operations conducted somewhere on the continuum between war and peace. "Traditional war is the paradigm," the briefing slide asserts.

Why Again Is the American Empire the 'Good Guys'?

"Why Are We The Good Guys?" is the title of a brilliant 2012 book by David Cromwell of the media monitoring organization, Media Lens. The book challenges the dominant elite orthodoxy that whatever "mistakes" they may make, the US and its closest allies always mean well - and are an undoubted force for good in the world.

Well, that might have been true in World War Two, when the US, the Soviet Union, Britain and others were fighting the Nazis, but I wonder if there's anyone out there (and whose salary isn't paid by the US defense industry, NATO, George Soros or Rupert Murdoch), who would still claim that the US — and its closest allies — are benign actors in international affairs?

HOW THE US ARMS PROBLEMATIC REGIONS

All local conflicts of the last decade have one common trait. Regardless of the geography, national, and religious character of their sides, they all gain weapons supplied by American forces. This tactic is based on the US’ authorities’ desire to apply their favorite tactic for destabilizing states and regions: creating controlled chaos. With the help of legal, semi-legal and criminal methods, they import weapons into the region and then destabilize socio-political social conditions that lead to the appearance of armed clashes. Thus, war is started once there is a sufficient number of weapons in the conflict zone.

New Cold War Spins Out of Control

In the aftermath of the U.S. attack on the Syrian army positions overlooking and commanding the Dier A-Zor airfield – the airfield, whose daily “Berlin air-bridge” style flights, are the sole lifeline to a city long besieged by ISIS – the Russian U.N. Ambassador asked a pertinent rhetorical question at the United Nations Security Council: Who is running U.S. policy: Is it the Pentagon or the White House?

What is so surprising here is the non-surprise evinced by the editorial writers of the New York Times. The Board blandly states that the Defense Secretary and the Pentagon might not comply. Not a hint of surprise is evident at the constitutional implications of this open defiance of Presidential authority.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I don't know about you, but the fact that Sec Def Carter is running the show now at the Pentagon scares the living stuffing out of me.

He is one of the most war-centric, verbally belligerent, non-prone to dialogue that could lead to negotiations, Sec Def that we have had in quite some time, probably since Rumsfeld.

He appears very much to be drunk on the smell on his own cork, when it comes to confronting Russia militarily, and that is a very dangerous state of affairs in which the US government finds itself.

Gulf may arm rebels now Syria truce is dead: U.S. officials

The collapse of the latest Syria ceasefire has heightened the possibility that Gulf states might arm Syrian rebels with shoulder-fired missiles to defend themselves against Syrian and Russian warplanes, U.S. officials said on Monday.

Still, the U.S. administration continues to maintain that negotiations are the only way to end the carnage after Russian-backed Syrian forces intensified their bombing of Aleppo, the last major urban area in rebel hands.

The latest U.S. attempt to end Syria's 5-1/2 year civil war was shattered on Sept. 19 when a humanitarian aid convoy was bombed in an attack Washington blamed on Russian aircraft. Moscow denied involvement.

On Monday, medical supplies were running out in rebel-held eastern Aleppo, with victims pouring into barely functioning hospitals as Russia and its Syrian ally President Bashar al-Assad ignored Western pleas to stop the bombing.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: the US government never wanted a true cease-fire in the first place; they just wanted a lull in the fighting long enough to rearm those alleged "moderate" jihadists, of whom there are none.

Well now, having broken the cease-fire with a deliberate attack against Syrian troops, lasting an hour, the US government is feeling confident that it can do this with impunity.

But were I a member of the US government or military, I wouldn't bet against the Russians, coordinating with the Syrian military, to make mincemeat out of the last stronghold of the jihadists in Aleppo.

NATO IS REVIEWING ‘NUCLEAR PLAYBOOK’ TO DETER ‘TERRIBLE ATTACKS’ BY RUSSIA – PENTAGON CHIEF

The Pentagon chief put Russia on par with North Korea when he spoke about threats faced by the US and its allies, and the need to invest billions into refreshing NATO’s nuclear playbook to integrate conventional and unconventional deterrence methods.

Addressing US servicemen, missile units and B-52 crews at Minot Base, Defense Secretary Ash Carter stated that the US and its allies had not built any new nuclear weapons or delivery systems in the last 25 years – and said that American nuclear forces must be ready to engage in a possible nuclear confrontation with Russia.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A memo to Sec Def Carter; Kim Jong-Un might potentially be stupid enough to do this, adamantly ignoring the fact that such an act would turn North Korea into a molten pile of oozing glass, courtesy of a US/South Korean airstrike; but Vlad Putin?!?

Mr. Carter, forgive me, but Putin has appeared to me very much the adult in the room in geopolitical discussions; he attempted to broker a Syrian cease-fire (which your Pentagon broke with a strike, BTW, killing and wounding numerous Syrian soldiers).

Everything he has done has been an asymmetric move against what NATO and American military have done.

NATO has placed a European defense field in Poland and Romania.

U.S. launches long-awaited European missile defense shield

Theoretically, this is to save Europe from any kind of Iranian attack, but why would they, in light of the agreement with the P5+1, which stopped their development of nuclear weapons?!?

Russian leadership is very aware of what these installations mean at their border; NATO and the US are preparing for some kind of an assault against Russia at some point in the not too distant future.

Added to that, there has been an encirclement of Russia by NATO forces:

U.S., NATO troop buildup in Eastern Europe to counter Russians is largest since Cold War

NATO has condemned Russia at this year's NATO summit this last summer, and appeared to be gearing up for war against it:

NATO Summit Closes By Condemning Russia. US Soldiers and Weapons to Russia’s Border

Therefore, is it actually any surprise to someone with more than two brain cells to rub together that Russia is preparing for the eventuality of war against NATO and the US?
RUSSIA PREPARES FOR WAR WITH THE US AND NATO, WHILE LACKING RESOURCES

In June of this year, Russia deployed troops close to their border with Ukraine:

Russia deploys troops westward as standoff with NATO deepens

And in June of this year, the following was reported:

NATO to send ‘combat-ready’ battalions near Russian border

This deployment is to happen sometime next year; and as of this Saturday, we will already be in October.

And please don't scream at Russia about it's weaponry development, when our weapons procurement system is mired in an absolutely incestuous set of relationships between the Congressional representatives who award contracts, and then get generous contributions from those firms making the weapons.

You, sir, of all people, have to know that how this translates, when US weapons are field deployed.

The deployments are late, sometimes to the point of weaponry being obsolete before they are delivered; have hideous cost over-runs, and absolutely cannot function as promised. Need I remind you of the current mechanical, and fiscal, nightmares with Lockheed-Martin's F-35?!?

As reported in August of this year:

Pentagon weapons tester: F-35 fighter jet has ‘significant’ problems

And finally, please do not compare Russia's President Putin with Kim Jong-Un, because there is utterly no comparison between the two leaders.

Putin has demonstrated, time and time again, his interest in good faith, hard-won negotiations; unfortunately it appears to be the United States government which appears to be thoroughly disinterested in such activities.

So I need to speculate; is the reason you're putting Russia and North Korea in the same "risk assessment" category is that the Pentagon is planning to launch a false flag with a mini-nuke somewhere in Europe, and blame Russia for it?!?

False flags, as you know, are a big part of the US military's stock in trade.

What you did in Iraq & Libya is the real barbarism – Russian FM spox rebukes US envoy to UN

The US envoy to the UN, who recently called Russia's actions in Syria “barbarism,” is hypocritical, because nothing in modern history is more barbaric than what the US has done in Iraq and Libya, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said in a fiery rebuke.

The American envoy to the UN, Samantha Power, blasted Russia on Sunday at a Security Council meeting, accusing Moscow of civilian deaths in Aleppo in the wake of the collapse of the ceasefire negotiated by the US and Russia.

Scholar: US, UK Supporting War Crimes in the Middle East

Stephen Zunes, a California-based international relations scholar, states that London and Washington demonstrate a double standard approach to war crimes.

Saudi Arabia has been bombing Yemen since 2015. The war has already left 10,000 people dead and over a million malnourished children, according to the UN. The UK is one of the major weapon providers for the Saudis. It approved over £3 billion in arms sales to reinstate former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a Saudi ally.

Trump, to the left of Obama, pledges not to use nuclear weapons first

Trump just became a Statesman. He has over 200 generals and major law enforcement groups behind him. This is getting interesting!

After Hillary Clinton attacked Donald Trump’s rhetoric on nuclear issues as reckless and dangerous, Trump pledged not to be the first to introduce nuclear weapons into a conflict. “I would certainly not do first strike,” Trump said. “Once the nuclear alternative happens, it’s over.”

That may seem like common sense, but it’s actually a commitment that President Obama has been reluctant to make. The Pentagon argues that unless the U.S. is prepared to threaten a nuclear strike, it is less likely to deter Russian and Chinese aggression.

Bombing Enemies That Can’t Fight Back

What, precisely, is the US military for, and what, precisely, can it do? In practical terms, how powerful is it? On paper, it is formidable, huge, with carrier battle groups, advanced technology, remarkable submarines, satellites, and so on. What does this translate to?

Military power does not exist independently, but only in relation to specific circumstances. Comparing technical specifications of the T-14 to those of the M1A2, or Su-34 to F-15, or numbers of this to numbers of that, is an interesting intellectual exercise. It means little without reference to specific circumstances.

The wars in the Mid-East illustrate the principle nicely. Iraq didn’t work. Libya didn’t work. Iran didn’t back down. ISIS and related curiosities? How the Pentagon Sank the US-Russia Deal in Syria – and the Ceasefire

At an extraordinary video conference with Kerry immediately after the negotiation of the ceasefire agreement was complete, Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter strongly objected to the Joint Center– especially the provision for sharing intelligence with the Russians for a campaign against IS and al-Qaeda.

Obama had overridden Carter’s objections at the time, but a New York Times story filed the night of 13 September reported that Pentagon officials were still refusing to agree that the US should proceed with the creation of the Joint Implementation Center if the ceasefire held for seven days.

The Times quoted Lt. Gen. Jeffrey L Harrigian, commander of the United States Air Forces Central Command (USAFCENT), as telling reporters, “I’m not saying yes or no.”

“It would be premature to say that we’re going to jump right into it,” he added.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but I thought that the civilian leadership of the American military was always the way it is supposed to be, and not the other way 'round: why Sec Def Carter or whoever actually ordered the attack has not been royally sacked, is a mystery to me.

That is, unless Obama wanted the strike, but to be able to claim "plausible deniability" in his having ordered it, and blame it on the Pentagon.

I think this is the more likely scenario, all things considered.

Hillary Clinton Sponsored Secretive Arab Spring Program that Destabilized Middle East

The U.S. State Department under the leadership of Secretary Hillary Clinton continued a program to embolden foreign, revolutionary, social media activists to agitate for regime change in various parts of the world. The program arguably had major, detrimental consequences for the trajectory of the Middle East.

Recent leaks show a memo that top Clinton aide Huma Abedin sent to her boss stating, “I’m giving you credit for inspiring the ‘peaceful’ protests,” with regard to Egypt, with quotation marks around the word “peaceful.”

The United States government is believed to have utilized a program called the Alliance of Youth Movements Summit, co-founded by a close Hillary Clinton adviser, to provide networking opportunities for an activist plotting to overthrow Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak several years before the “Arab Spring” protests that led to widespread regime change in the Middle East.

F-35A, a fire on an airplane: new faulty insulator shadows, it fears the worst

The incident occurred yesterday, around twelve o'clock, and involved an F-35A from the 61st Fighter Squadron stationed at Luke Air Force Base. There are no injured, the fire was extinguished quickly. As a precautionary measure, both the pilot and the seven airmen of the ground staff, were transported in the medical center of the base. All have already been discharged.

Seven F-35A were deployed at the Mountain Home Air Force Base for the training of pilots. The Air Force immediately opened an investigation to determine the nature of the accident. Under observation the F135 engine manufactured by Pratt & Whitney F-35. It ignores, finally, if the burning of a few hours ago can be related to defective insulation problem that has grounded fifteen operational aircraft and affects other 42 F-35 production line. If confirmed the latter case, the problem defective insulation would extend not only to a production batch as previously thought, but to the entire model series A.

Did the Pentagon Bomb Syrian Army to Kill Ceasefire Deal?

The US has officially taken responsibility for the incident which it called a “mistake”...

A rift between the Pentagon and the White House turned into open rebellion on Saturday when two US F-16s and two A-10 warplanes bombed Syrian Arab Army (SAA) positions at Deir al-Zor killing at least 62 Syrian regulars and wounding 100 others.

Many analysts now wonder whether the attacks are an indication that the neocon-strewn DOD is actively engaged in sabotaging President Obama’s Syria policy, a claim that implies that the Pentagon is led by anti-democratic rebels who reject the Constitutional authority of the civilian leadership. Saturday’s bloodletting strongly suggests that a mutiny is brewing at the War Department.

This Chart Shows The Staggering Hourly Cost Of Operating US Military Aircraft

The US military is set replace many of its aircraft with planes that cost substantially more to operate by the hour.

James Fallows, a national correspondent for The Atlantic, noted in a recent cover story for the magazine that costly military projects of questionable worth are becoming increasingly spread throughout congressional districts across the country. This means that projects such as the astronomically expensive F-35 become too politically sensitive to ever cancel, even if the planes themselves aren't cost-effective once they make it to the air.

The following graphic, courtesy of The Atlantic, highlights the disparity in flight hour costs for various aircraft in the US fleet.

House Panel: ‘Reboot’ of US Military to Cost $1 Trillion Over Next Decade

With officials constantly looking for new ways to add even more spending to the Pentagon’s annual budget, all the while griping about the spending caps they never respect in the first place, the House Armed Services Committee is laying out a ridiculously expensive scheme to “reboot” the entire military.

Panel members insist that 15 years of non-stop war has, despite that same period being loaded with record budgets, pushed the military to its limit, and that the new plan is needed, which will take a decade and cost an addition $1 trillion, above and beyond the already massive amounts being spent.

Hawks on the panel insist that the massive new scheme is needed because the military is “unready” to fight a major war with either Russia or China, despite the $1 trillion by itself likely to be well more than either nation spends in that time.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Congress spends like a drunken sailor on our military equipment, but doesn't spend smart.

Because of the incestuous relationship between Congressional representatives who award military contracts, and those defense industry corporations, which "grease the wheels" with generous contributions to said Congressional representatives, the following things happen:

1. Products absolutely do not perform as promised.

2. When those weapons arrive, they arrive so late as to be obsolete before even being put into service.

3. There are huge cost over-runs, which the government is forced to pay for.

Before Congress spends one more dime on military hardware and software, these problems have to be fixed, period, end of discussion.

All those who read this blog understand that I abhor war as a way though which the US government resolves its geopolitical disagreements; that being said, when conflict comes, I want to be assured that our military personnel have the best, and most current weapons available.

And by not fixing its weapons procurement process, Congress is completely short-changing every military personnel in uniform, and THAT...bites!!

Right now, the Obama administration has one priority and that is to stop eastern Aleppo from falling to Syrian government forces. Syria Announces New Offensive Against Aleppo as Truce Talks Fail

The Syrian government has announced a major new offensive against the Nusra Front-held half of the city of Aleppo today, urging locals to avoid areas where terrorists are located and announcing a number of areas through which civilians can flee the area.

The offensive was announced after the latest efforts to revive the already collapsed ceasefire failed. Syrian officials withdrew from the ceasefire on Monday, citing weekend violations. The announcement was vague on whether this offensive would include attempts to send ground forces into the area.

Aleppo has been contested for years, with districts regularly changing hands but no one ever getting control of the entire city. Nusra and the Syrian government have it roughly split down the middle now, with repeated attacks and counterattacks yielding large death tolls but limited territory changes.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Pentagon Seeks 500 More Ground Troops in Iraq for Mosul Invasion

With officials saying that the planned invasion of the city of Mosul could begin as soon as October, the Pentagon is once again requesting more US ground troops be deployed into the area around the city, The Pentagon has already deployed several hundred troops multiple times in the last two months on the same basis.

The Pentagon is seeking another 500 “permanent” US troops in Iraq, which would bring the official figure in the country to 4,900. HERE’S HOW CIA PUPPET MASTERS ARE DELIBERATELY PICKING A WORLD WAR III LEVEL FIGHT

It’s really quite embarrassing on a global scale when members of our own government seem to be deliberately trying to pick fights with people who aren’t interested in fighting with us. If you’ve traveled outside of the United States much, you probably know that we Americans have a rather negative reputation off of our own shores. Now, generally speaking, that isn’t our fault as individuals. You and I don’t create headlines that make waves throughout Europe and Asia.

While average Americans aren’t directly responsible for this, our federal officials are. I’ve written recently about President Obama doing things in Syria that are worsening the conflict there. I’ve also written about the fact that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin are starting to butt heads. And finally, I’ve warned time and time again that war is upon us – and everyone knows but the US.

Michael Morell is the director of the CIA. Here’s a little blurb from Wikipedia about him.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I think there are multiple reasons why the Obama Administration wants war against Russia in Syria.

First, as an attempted distraction from the lousy economy realities for many here in the United States.

There are over 94 million Americans who cannot find work, but are not counted in the US Labor Statistics because they "have been out of the work force for too long". That's a great trick by the Us Department of Labor, worthy of a magician; they've just made these people...disappear.

Secondly, if it appears that Trump is going to absolutely win the election by a landslide in November, this Administration would love to "gift" him with a war even before he has had the chance to take the Oath of Office.

I would like to soberly and politely remind this Administration of the epic fails their military misadventures have been so far; continuing to fail in Afghanistan and Iraq; continuing to fail in Libya, and continuing to fail in the US-militarily enabled Saudi war against Yemen.

And with all these failures, and no respite in sight, the Administration is spoiling for a war with Russia over Syria?!?

There is a classic definition of insanity, which amounts to doing the same thing over and over again, in precisely the same way, yet consistently expecting a different outcome.

And by this definition, the US government under President Obama's watch, has gone completely insane.

Such a war may not go well for the US government, because at this point, our military doesn't have the weaponry, the money, the troop strength, or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome to such a war.

Additionally, such a war against Russia over Syria, in order to accomplish regime change in Syria, does not at all put this country on the moral, or right side of history.

And right now, I think that mandatory reading for every Governmental and military personnel pushing for such a war should be Sun Szu's "The Art of War."

Carefully.

Multiple times.

A memo to Sec Def Carter and General Dunsford; if you don't have the facts about who bombed the aid convoy, making an assumption that "Russia or Syria did it" is a recklessly irresponsible allegation.

And besides, cui bono?!? Who benefits from such an act?!? Neither the Russians nor Syrians do.

And again, I would like to politely remind you that a US coalition Predator Drone was spotted shadowing the convoy before the attack happened; if there was no intent to harm, WHY?!?

US coalition Predator drone spotted at time & place of Syria aid convoy attack – Russian military

I would also like to politely point out to you that Russia was invited to get rid of ALL the jihadis working against the government of Damascus (including those funded and equipped by the US government, such as ISIS); the United States military has not at all been invited, thank you very much.

So, gentlemen, it appears that after 4 years of abject failure in getting the alleged "moderate rebels" to create regime change in Damascus, you are contemplating a war against both Russia and Syria to accomplish this.

I would like to strongly caution against such an action at this time, because the US military doesn't have the weaponry; the troop strength; the money, or the manufacturing to accomplish a positive outcome to a conventional war with Russia.

The way in which the weapons and aircraft contracts are awarded in this country is incestuous, because you have politicians who are, in large part, rewarded by generous campaign contributions by the weapons and aircraft makers who get the contracts.

And how this translates, when weapons and aircraft get into the field, is that they do not work at all as advertised; they are late enough as to be obsolete against other countries' weapons, and come with stiff cost overruns.

Need I remind you of the hideous problems with Lockheed Martin's F-35?!?

PENTAGON: F-35 WON’T HAVE A CHANCE IN REAL COMBAT

The F-35's Fatal Flaw: It Might Need to Win a Dogfight (But Can't)

F-35’s Latest Hurdle Could Send It Back To Contracting Purgatory

Gentlemen, first, the contracting process has to be fixed so that when the US government goes to war, it has the weapons, the money, the manufacturing, and the troop strength to insure victory in that endeavor; and right now, this is absolutely not the case.

And secondly, with any contemplated invasion of Syria to accomplish regime change, even if it involves war with Russia, the United States government is absolutely not on the right, or moral, side of history here.

And that means that the US government may well loose such a war, so I encourage you both to think long and hard before you commit to this; the aftermath may well be both globally devastating... and irreversible.

More Troubling Evidence That Hillary Clinton Will Start WW3

Putin, a former KGB agent, “doesn’t have a soul,” Clinton quipped... Is this the sort of starting point you want from a new U.S. President? There’s a reason so many genuine progressives and liberals can’t stomach Hillary Clinton and refuse to vote for her. Sure, there’s the rampant embrace of cronyism and incessant oligarch coddling, but there’s also her penchant for bloodthirsty militarism.

British Parliament Confirms Libya War Was Based On Lies … Turned Nation Into a “Shit Show” … Spread Terrorism

The UK Parliament just confirmed what the alternative media has been saying for years.

Specifically, a new report from the bipartisan House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee – based on interviews with all of the key British decision-makers, review of documents, and on-the-ground investigations in Africa – found that Libyan war was based on lies, that it destroyed the country, and that it spread terrorism far and wide.

ATTACK ON AID CONVOY KILLS TWENTY, DESTROYS AID - AND OBLITERATES US WAR CRIMES?

“We have studied video footage from the scene from so-called ‘activists’ in detail and did not find any evidence that the convoy had been struck by ordnance”, commented Igor Konashenkov, a Ministry spokesman.

“There are no craters and the exterior of the vehicles do not have the kind of damage consistent with blasts caused by bombs dropped from the air.” His observations are hard to challenge, anyone who has studied the assaults of the “international community” on far away countries over the last decades knows what a bombed truck looks like - what fragments remains of it.

Photographs of the affected lorries show burned out vehicles, metal skeleton intact.

Konashenkov said that damage visible in footage was instead the result of cargo igniting - “oddly” occurring at the same time as militants (formerly Nusra Front) had started a big offensive in nearby Aleppo, backed by tanks, artillery and other heavy equipment.

Assad Interview: US Airstrikes on Syrian Troops Not a Mistake, “You Cannot Commit a Mistake for One Hour”

Assad, who we used to get told was an inhumane monster who is hurting his people but whom we are told nothing about anymore, makes a good point. If the US accidentally attacked Syrian troops (for an hour), how did ISIS know the "accidental" attack was coming?

By the time these strikes were reported on here in the US, we Americans were told they are a "mistake" and it was all just a big fat regrettable accident.

However, America can't have it both ways. We can't be told how exceptional and amazing our military is, how all strikes are done with "surgical precision," then get told "whoopsies!" on something like this...

White House: Russia to Blame Even If They Didn’t Attack Aid Convoy

Yesterday’s apparently airstrikes against a UN aid convoy, destroying between 18-20 trucks and killing some 14 Red Crescent volunteers took multiple turns today, with the US claiming they believe that a pair of Russian warplanes attacked the convoy, potentially as “revenge” for the American attack on a Syrian military base the day before, which killed 83 soldiers.

The Russians are denying this, of course, but perhaps the even more unusual angle is that White House officials have subsequently come forward to insist that the US holds Russia responsible for what happened to the convoy, even if they didn’t actually do it.

Obama aide Ben Rhodes argued that because Russia had made a commitment to the ceasefire and to getting aid flowing in northern Syria, it was obviously their fault that something happened to the convoy, no matter what that actually was.

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK, it's official: both Ben Rhodes and this administration have collectively lost their reality licenses, with this breathtakingly stupid statement!!

Did the US NOT make a commitment to the cease fire, which they destroyed by Saturday's bombing of Syrian military personnel?!?

And why on earth did the US government feel it necessary to keep the terms of the agreement with the Russians secret?!?

And besides, cui bono?!?

Who benefited from the bombing of the aid convoy?!?

NOT Russia, for heaven's sake; and not Syria, certainly.

But the US accusations have absolutely no where to go; Russia has meticulously documented where its personnel and equipment were at the time the convoy got bombed, and it was no where even close to where the convoy got bombed.

When Russia Called to Get US to Stop Syria Strike, US Official Wasn’t There

Weekend US airstrikes against a Syrian army base in Deir Ezzor, a protracted error which killed 83 Syrian soldiers and opened up the base for ISIS to overrun it, carried on longer than it should have, because when Russia made the call to warn the Americans, the guy who was supposed to answer it wasn’t there.

The Russian military called and asked to speak to this “point of contact” official at the coordinating center which is running the US-led bombing campaigns in Syria, and were told he wasn’t available. The Russians called back again and finally got somebody who understood that the US was bombing the wrong target.

The Pentagon dismissed concern about the lapse, saying the contact “wasn’t expecting a call” and therefore didn’t feel obliged to sit next to the phone. Yet as intense US airstrikes were ongoing, in the middle of a US-Russia negotiated ceasefire, it seems like it wasn’t a total shock that a call ended up made.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: the deliberate absence of the US contact made sure that the bombing could last just long enough to coordinate with ISIS as they rushed in to overtake the area.

We Are Headed For War-Paul Craig Roberts

It used to be we used nuclear weapons only in retaliation. There was no first use, but the George W. Bush regime, the Neocons, changed our nuclear doctrine. It’s now a preemptive first strike. So, this tells both the Russians and Chinese they could get a preemptive first strike. Then, we tell the Russians we are putting missiles right on your border. You won’t have two minutes’ notice. They can’t accept that. It’s too much risk from a crazy country (U.S.) that won’t negotiate with them. . . . So, we’re headed for war. I think the only thing that would block it is if one or two of the European governments realize that they have nothing whatsoever to gain with a conflict with Russia. . . . The only thing they could do to prevent a nuclear war is to pull out of NATO.”

Deep State America

On September 9th the Washington Post featured a front page article describing how the Defense Department had used warplanes to attack targets and kill suspected militants in six countries over the Labor Day weekend. The article was celebratory, citing Pentagon officials who boasted of the ability to engage “multiple targets” anywhere in the world in what has become a “permanent war.” The article did not mention that the United States is not currently at war with any of the six target countries and made no attempt to make a case that the men and women who were killed actually threatened the U.S. or American citizens.
