Rest In Peace, Pete Nosan of 'Restore The Republic': 7 Years Ago

This week marks the 7th anniversary of the tragedy of the suicide of Pete Nosan. He was the Southern California chapter leader of the late Aaron Russo's "Restore the Republic." He had refused to file his income tax returns and the IRS soon came after him, showed up to his job and seized his bank account. Soon afterwards, Pete used a gun and took his own life. I post this reminder not to romanticize or make the tragedy of suicide heroic or noble in any way. It is an unspeakable tragedy and terrible waste. Pete and I were not close friends and we didn't know each other that well, but he called me up and we had a long conversation about a month before he did this. We had actually met at an anti-war rally in L.A. and I had had my 9/11 truth stuff., and we immediately hit it off. Two Ron Paul supporters surrounded by a gaggle of hard-core leftists made for an amusing time that day.- but we agreed with them on the war, so it was fun. After we had met, I would then run into Pete at events, protests, conferences, and rallys, etc. He was a very dedicated and truth-seeking man.
