Airstrikes not enough to stop ISIL, François Hollande tells Parliament
French President François Hollande urged Canada to continue the fight against atrocities committed by the Islamic State, saying things have changed since both countries refused to join the Iraq War.
“Faced with a terrorist movement that kills, massacres, that destroys villages, that puts women and children into servitude, that drowns them in wells, can we stand aside, indifferent, in thinking that it does not involve us? No,” Hollande said Monday in a speech to the House of Commons.
