It may have arrived with little fanfare, but Russia’s SWIFT alternative has, more or less, arrived. We have created an alternative.”

How Governments Justify Theft is a Fallacy: Wealth Was Created before Taxation

There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody! You built a factory out there, good for you, but I want to be clear, you moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces the rest of us paid for. You didn’t have to worry that mauraduing bands would come and seize everything at your factory, and hire someone to protect against this, because of the work the rest of us did… But part of the underlying social contract is that you take a hunk of that, and pay forward for the next kid that comes along.

War 'Works' - Trump Favorability Hits 50%, Highest In 2 Months

It appears that if you want to be liked by the American public, go to war. After a non-stop plunge to record low ratings for a new president, Rasmussen's most recent data shows President Trump's favorability surging to 2-month highs since he started rattling sabres around the world.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is completely, totally insane.

The American people should expect reasonable, hard-won, moral negotiations from its government, as the way forward for its foreign policy, and not the imposition of war as the only solution to its geopolitical issues.

Boeing To Lay Off "Hundreds" Of Engineers

President Trump will not be amused. In a letter to employees, Boeing VP John Hamilton announces that the company will lay off "hundreds" of engineers as soon as this week, affecting Washington and "other enterprise locations."

As Bloomberg headlines show:

The timing is interesting as the Ex-Im Bank discussions hot up and comes just 2 months after Trump visited Boeing's South Carolina plant.

Standing in front of a new Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner passenger aircraft made at in North Charleston, Trump repeated his campaign promises to promote American production that partly fueled his dizzying path to the White House. He warned of a "substantial penalty" for companies that move jobs out of the United States.

The Problem is Washington, Not North Korea

Washington has never made any effort to conceal its contempt for North Korea. In the 64 years since the war ended, the US has done everything in its power to punish, humiliate and inflict pain on the Communist country. Washington has subjected the DPRK to starvation, prevented its government from accessing foreign capital and markets, strangled its economy with crippling economic sanctions, and installed lethal missile systems and military bases on their doorstep.

Negotiations aren’t possible because Washington refuses to sit down with a country which it sees as its inferior. Instead, the US has strong-armed China to do its bidding by using their diplomats as interlocutors who are expected to convey Washington’s ultimatums as threateningly as possible. The hope, of course, is that Pyongyang will cave in to Uncle Sam’s bullying and do what they are told.

Maduro orders Venezuela army into streets

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has ordered the army into the streets as the volatile country braces for what his opponents vow will be the "mother of all protests" on Wednesday.

Maduro, who has faced violent protests over recent moves to tighten his grip on power, ordered the military to defend the leftist "Bolivarian revolution" launched by his late mentor Hugo Chavez in 1999.

"From the first reveille (on Monday morning), from the first rooster crow, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces will be in the streets... saying, 'Long live the Bolivarian revolution,'" Maduro said Sunday night in a televised address.

State TV showed images of army units marching in the streets of Caracas as Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino watched.

But there was no sign of soldiers on patrol Monday morning in the capital.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Maduro has to know that this will not end well, nor in his favor.

N. Korean official: Ready for war if Trump wants it
The state House Public Safety Committee unanimously passed a resolution Thursday.

Committee Vice Chairman Matt LoPresti says he's not trying to spread fear. But he wants the public to know the government is taking steps to protect them in the worst case scenario.

He's aiming to get state funding to re-equip Cold War-era fallout shelters.

The resolution that moved forward Thursday said that in 1981, Oahu had hundreds of fallout shelters -- "many stocked with medical kits, food, and sanitary kits." But in later years, funding dried up, and stocks were thrown out.

Hawaii Emergency Management Agency Executive Officer Toby Clairmont showed lawmakers a response plan from 1985 that hasn't been updated since.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Considering the immense, nearly pathological dysfunction of the various areas of the Hawaiian government, I would encourage every resident of Hawaii not to count on the government of the State to truly be able to do anything concrete to help you, and encourage you to plan - and prep - for yourself, and for the people you care about.

North Korea 'will test missiles weekly', senior official tells BBC

North Korea will continue to test missiles despite international condemnation and increasing military tensions with the US, a senior official has told the BBC in Pyongyang.

"We'll be conducting more missile tests on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis," Vice Foreign Minister Han Song-Ryol told the BBC's John Sudworth.
He said that an "all out war" would result if the US took military action.
Earlier, US Vice-President Mike Pence warned North Korea not to test the US.
He said his country's "era of strategic patience" with North Korea was over.
Mr Pence arrived in Seoul on Sunday hours after North Korea carried out a failed missile launch.

Tensions have been escalating on the peninsula, with heated rhetoric from both North Korea and the US.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Big Sap: Income Tax

Great Cartoon and even better article.

The IRS deception works simply because the American people have been programmed to believe in a fiction called the U.S. dollar. The U.S. dollar cannot be measured by the five senses. Green strips of paper with numbers on them are not dollars. They are only symbols of dollars. But belief in the dollar as substance (not fiction) is so ingrained and widespread that it ranks with religion.

When Americans discover that the government and its symbiotic partner, the Federal Reserve, create credit in unlimited amounts, they will know that the idea of income taxes is nothing more than political subterfuge. They will know that federal budgets and national debts are fictions and diversions. They do not exist.

When the government creates credit and passes it into circulation in exchange for goods and services, it is stealing. It is exchanging nonsubstance, a fiction, for substance. It is theft on an unbelievable scale.

Trump Invades Somalia

Bookmakers must be wondering how many wars he’ll wage during his tenure.

He continues Bush/Cheney/Obama wars, escalated them in Syria, Iraq and Yemen, likely intends more combat troops for Afghanistan, threatens nuclear war on the Korean peninsula, and targets Somalia for the first time since US forces were withdrawn in 1994.

Sending dozens, perhaps scores, even hundreds of US combat troops isn’t exactly an invasion. Besides, US special forces operated there at times for years – illegally on the territory of another country.

Big things usually start small. US forces in Somalia may signal many more to come. Obama waged a covert drone war on the strategically important Horn of Africa.

It’s near the Bab el-Mandeb strait chokepoint separating Yemen from Eritrea. Millions of barrels of oil flow through it to the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The excuse given is just more grade-A bovine excrement.

As are all the other US military "interventions", this is about power projection in the region; expropriating resources to which the US government has utterly no moral right; making certain that the existing government of that country is US/Western-centric, even if that means regime change; and making sure that those resources are only sold in US dollars.

Oh, and speaking of "power projection" in the Persian Gulf, the US government , with the permission of the former President of Yemen, President Saleh, has "expropriated" two Yemeni islands, upon which they have built two huge naval bases, and those island are Socotra and Masirah.

Destroying Palestinian Agriculture? Israeli Planes Spray Herbicides Inside Gaza for the Fourth Time This Year

Israeli planes have been reported spraying herbicides over land inside the Gaza Strip on four occasions in 2017, including twice in the last two days.

Israeli planes sprayed herbicides inside the Gaza Strip for the second day running on Wednesday and the fourth time this year, according to local farmers and Israeli rights NGO Gisha. A video published on Wednesday, allegedly of the crop-dusting, shows a plane flying low and spraying over farmland.

Palestinians who reported the incident said that the planes had dusted near the Gaza border fence, and the Gaza Ministry of Agriculture is investigating the extent of the damage from the herbicides sprayed over the last two days. Around 840 acres of crops were damaged during the last round of spraying in January 2017, according to Gisha.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If the Israeli destruction and poisoning Palestinian agriculture is not a war crime, I sure as heck don't know what is.

America Should Start Exploring How to End All the Wars It's Started

War-whoops and loud applause from foreign policy establishments and their media supporters have greeted President Trump’s missile strike in Syria, the dropping of the world’s largest non-nuclear bomb on Afghanistan and the dispatch of a naval task force in the direction of North Korea.

This spurt in belligerence over the last week has as much to do with domestic American politics as any fundamental new development in the rest of the world. Trump needed to defuse the accusation that he was too close to President Putin and too tolerant of a Russian ally like Bashar al-Assad. The resort to military action was largely in keeping with the old Pentagon saying that “defence policy ends at the water’s edge”, meaning that it is politics inside, not outside the US, which is the real decision-maker.

Is Our Political Class Mentally Ill?

I write this on Easter Sunday, the day of resurrection and hope in the Christian calendar, but such a bright promise looks a bit thin given what is going on in our world, our country: what looks like a mass outbreak of mental illness among our political class.

I say this because here is a group of people – journalists, politicians, and other Very Serious Persons – who have hated our new President from the get-go. He’s Hitler, he’s Mussolini, he’s Pepe the frog! He’s this, he’s that, he’s Our National Nightmare! And yet the minute he starts bombing foreigners he’s suddenly not so bad after all. Over at the Washington Post, David Ignatius, the CIA’s journalistic front man, says he’s “becoming a credible foreign policy leader.” Ruth Marcus opines that we’re witnessing “the normalization of Donald Trump.” Finally, she enthuses, “rationality is dawning” on the forty-fifth President! Among the liberal elite, the hosannas were well nigh universal. As Ann Coulter noted:

Webmaster's Commentary:

This mental illness seeps from the American Deep State on down to its politicians, and the presstitutes in the mass media, who always glorify US-generated examples of massive death and destruction, and praise them as being far preferred and superior to smart, hard-won, moral negotiations negotiations.

Fire retardant chemicals used in your mattress linked to 74% rise in thyroid cancer tumors

Flame retardants commonly sprayed in fabric and fillings in furniture were associated with a 74 percent increase in thyroid cancer rates in the U.K. during the last 10 years, a study revealed. Health experts said exposure to this flame retardants through dust might have contributed to the surge in thyroid cancer rates. To assess this, researchers at the Duke University analyzed household dust and blood samples from cancer patients.

Researchers found that patients with thyroid cancer had significantly higher exposure to flame retardants called polybrominated diphenyl ethers compared with healthy controls. Data also showed that cancer patients exhibited higher levels of TCEP, also known as Chlorinated Tris. Polybrominated diphenyl ethers were banned in 2004, while TCEP was banned 16 years ago.

Striking North Korea Could Harm Key U.S. Ally, Analysts Warn

International security analysts have cast doubt on reports that the United States may be considering a preemptive military strike against North Korea, warning such action could have huge consequences on a key U.S. ally and upset a carefully managed balance of power between Kim Jong Un and the West.

NBC News, citing multiple senior intelligence officials, reported Thursday evening that the U.S. may launch military action against North Korea if it carried out suspected plans to conduct its sixth nuclear test in the coming days.

Several reports have speculated the North could do so after satellite imagery showed an unusual level of activity at the country’s Punggye-ri nuclear testing facility. And North Korea’s vice foreign minister told the Associated Press Friday that Pyongyang has no qualms about launching a preemptive strike if the U.S. displayed any “reckless” military aggression.

Jon Rappoport: Why Russia has become the number-one target in the US press

As David Icke stated on the Richie Allen show a few days ago, Russia was the player who was standing in the way of the long-term goal to get rid of Assad in Syria and turn the country into an oil producing hellhole like Libya.

The US government and its allies (Israel) had created, funded, and armed the group called ISIS, the proxy force for, among other operations, wiping out the Assad government in Syria. The Syria op was a slam-dunk...until it wasn't. Until Putin stepped in and gave air support to Assad's troops and turned the war around, bringing it to the brink of, God forbid, actual peace negotiations.

That outcome was definitely NOT on the agenda of the US Project for a New American Century, the neocon playbook for destabilizing the Middle East.

Putin was standing in the way. He was screwing up The NWO Plan. He was winning.

McMaster ‘Doubts’ US Will Send More Troops to Syria

In comments today on ABC’s “This Week,” National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster downplayed the chances of the US sending more ground troops to Syria, saying that it still “remains to be seen” if more troops are needed, but that he doubts the US will have to send any more.

President Trump had appeared to rule out such deployments last week, insisting “we’re not going into Syria,” though of course US forces are already in Syria, and there are proposals still coming in calling for additional US troops to be deployed.

The indications had been that McMaster was leading the push for more troops, however, and had even argued in favor of a deployment of some 50,000 US ground troops to fight in Syria. That McMaster is the one downplaying more troops now may suggest he’s been overruled.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This at least temporarily ratchets down the possibility of direct US/Russian military confrontation in Syria; but for how long, if regime change continues not to be accomplished in Damascus, which is the end goal of US foreign policy here?!?

And so far, the arming of both the Kurdish YPG, and various anti-government rebels hasn't worked at all; in fact, these appear to be historically failed US policies.

Senior Chinese, U.S. officials exchange views on Korean Peninsula situation

Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi and U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson exchanged views on the situation on the Korean Peninsula via phone on Sunday.

The talk came after the Democratic People's Republic of Korea had reportedly fired an unidentified missile early on Sunday from its eastern coastal city of Sinpo.

But the missile was believed to have exploded on launch, according to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Yang and Tillerson also discussed the implementation of those agreements reached by the two countries' presidents during their first meeting in the U.S. state of Florida earlier this month.

The successful meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump at the Mar-a-Lago estate has set a constructive tone, defined the direction and made a plan for the development of bilateral ties, Yang told Tillerson, noting that the two leaders also held a good phone conversation just a few days ago.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This sounds like an absolutely wonderful way of moving forward; unfortunately, President Trump and his advisors are working against a "hard deadline" of 9 May, which is about 3 weeks away, when South Korea elects a new President, due to the fact that President Park was impeached by the South Korean government, and thrown out of office.

The Chinese people - and Government - tend to look at the long term, in terms of governmental, and military actions; Donald Trump understands that if the next President of South Korea is supportive of the "sunshine policy",which advocates for cooperation and involvement with North Korea, he will not have a snowball's chance in hell of getting the South to go along with a decap strike, leading to regime change in North Korea.

Additionally, South Korea, Russia, and China are looking at President Trump's rapidly growing string of broken campaign promises and wondering about the degree to which he can be trusted, at all, to keep his word.

However this gets resolved, it's going to be an intense three weeks for both Koreas, until May 9th.

Putin moves missiles to North Korea border as Russia gets ready for WAR

VIDEO footage appears to show Russian military forces being moved on mass to the border with North Korea as the world edges closer to World War 3.Russia has reportedly moved weapons towards Vladivostok, just eight miles from the border with North Korea. The city is within striking distance of Kim Jong-un’s secretive state.

Although unconfirmed by the Russian government, the movement of tanks and missiles was spotted by terrified people living in the border city and posted on social media.According to reports, the military convoy caught on camera included eight surface-to-air missiles, all part of Russian Air Defence.

Vladimir Putin already has a major navy base in Vladivostok.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF, in fact, these reports are true, we are looking at things getting out of control on the Korean Peninsula very, very quickly.

The distance between Russia and the North Korean border is very short.

The border between Russia and North Korea, according to the official Russian definition, consists of 17 kilometres (11 mi) of "terrestrial border" and 22.1 km (12 nautical miles) of "maritime border". It is the shortest of the international borders of Russia

The private case is being brought by General Abdul-Wahid Shannan ar-Ribat, former chief of staff of the Iraqi army.

He wants the former Labour prime minister to be convicted of the crime of 'aggression' for taking part, alongside the US, in the invasion of his country under the false pretext that Saddam Hussein's regime harboured weapons of mass destruction.

Erdogan Wins Narrow Referendum Victory, Laying Bare Turkey’s Divisions

Supporters of Tayyip Erdogan waved flags in the streets while opponents banged pots and pans in protest in their homes, after a narrow referendum victory gave the Turkish president sweeping powers and laid the nation’s divisions bare.

The referendum will bring the biggest overhaul in Turkish politics since the founding of the modern republic, abolishing the post of prime minister and concentrating power in the hands of the president. Unofficial results, which the opposition said it would challenge, showed a narrow victory with 51.4 percent of votes cast in favor.

Yet the procedures used in both the campaign leading up to the referendum as well as on the day of didn’t adhere to international standards and created an “unlevel playing field,” Tana de Zulueta, head of the team of Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe observers present in Turkey, said in a news conference Monday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Through this referendum, the Turkish people have given Erdogan nearly dictatorial powers; and heaven only knows what he will wind up doing with them.

Russia & Iran Order U.S. To Leave Syria As False Flag Evidence Emerges

Russia, Syria and Iran have warned President Trump to end military intervention in Syria, following revelations that the chemical attack was false flag orchestrated by the West.

Following a meeting between foreign ministers in Moscow on Friday, all three countries have accused Trump of undermining Syria’s sovereignty .

“We have reiterated our position and were united in stating that the attack was an act of aggression, which blatantly violated the principles of international law and the UN Charter,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

“We call on the US and its allies to respect Syria’s sovereignty and refrain from actions similar to what happened on April 7, and which have serious ramification not only for regional, but also global security,” he added.

Mike Pence Puts North Korea On Notice For Missile, Nuclear Tests

“North Korea would do well not to test [President Trump’s] resolve or the strength of the armed forces of the United States in this region.”

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence put North Korea on notice on Monday, warning that recent U.S. strikes in Syria and Afghanistan showed that the resolve of President Donald Trump should not be tested.

Pence and South Korean acting president Hwang Kyo-ahn, speaking a day after a failed missile test by the North and two days after a huge display of missiles in Pyongyang, also said they would strengthen anti-North Korea defenses by moving ahead with the early deployment of the THAAD missile-defense system.

Pence is on the first stop of a four-nation Asia tour intended to show America’s allies, and remind its adversaries, that the Trump administration was not turning its back on the increasingly volatile region.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Pence is characterising President Trump's "strength and resolve" by his actions of bombing Syria for something the Syrian government most likely didn't do, and using a MOAB in Afghanistan "because he could".

Could someone please tell me, how in the name of heaven, these actions translated into "strength and resolve", where there was absolutely no restraint, or honest fact-finding going on in Trump's White House, before these actions were taken?!?

ISPs Gave 8X More Cash to Politicians That Axed FCC Privacy Rule

Most people realize that Congress' party-line vote to kill the FCC's consumer broadband privacy rules earlier this month was a clear, albeit grotesque, example of pay-to-play American politics. Especially given the majority of Republicans, Democrats and Independents alike thought the rules should have remained in place. But how overt of a display of pay-to-play politics was it? The Intercept looked at campaign finance filings and found that the Senators and Representatives that voted to kill the rules received eight times more cash from broadband providers.

In an unparalleled display of fealty and subservience, the United States’ Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, sat before an AIPAC (American-Israeli Political Action Committee) and proclaimed all the horrors visited upon the Zionist settler state under the Obama administration as well as all the things the United States has done to support Israel since Trump came to power. In other words, she set up a perfect representation of the narrative that has existed all along; i.e. despite the fact that the Obama administration was an unwavering supporter of Israel, giving historical amounts of money and assistance to the settler state, pledging loyalty to the colony, and actively helping to destroy Israel’s self-made enemies, Obama is still considered a “weak” supporter of Israel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

She is obviously acutely aware that this complete, callous, and utter disregard for Palestinian human rights will serve her well, in her future career, and is precisely the posture President Trump wants her to take at the UN.

Wash. Post Doesn’t Disclose Writer Supporting Syria Strike Is A Lobbyist For Tomahawk Missile Manufacturer

The Washington Post is allowing writer Ed Rogers to push for and praise military action against Syria without disclosing that he’s a lobbyist for defense contractor Raytheon, which makes the Tomahawk missiles used in the recent strike.

Rogers is a contributor to The Washington Post’s PostPartisan blog, where he wrote an April 8 piece praising President Donald Trump for authorizing the launch of 59 Tomahawk missiles at a Syrian airbase that reportedly housed warplanes that carried out chemical attacks against civilians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

More presstitutes, more warmongering.

Now, when you see the names, just disregard the articles; these people are simply doing what they are paid to do; encourage military means of conflict resolution rather than hard-won, common-sense, moral negotiations.

The New Shadow Brokers Leak Connects the NSA to the Stuxnet Cyber Weapon Used on Iran

Researchers have found an hidden gem inside the treasure trove of the new alleged NSA hacking tools dumped by the Shadow Brokers.

The mysterious hacking group known as Shadow Brokers came back on Friday to drop its most explosive—and damaging—dump yet, a collection of alleged hacking tools for Microsoft Windows computers.

Buried among this new treasure trove, there are several mentions of previously disclosed NSA top secret programs and software such as "STRAITBIZARRE," used to control implants remotely, and "JEEPFLEA," a project to hack the money transferring system SWIFT. These provide yet another hint that these are indeed tools stolen from the NSA's elite hacking team.

Perhaps more surprisingly, the dump also included one tool that was used in the famous Stuxnet worm, arguably the world's first digital weapon, used to hit an Iranian nuclear power facility and damage its centrifuges to slow down the

North Korea's botched missile test may have been disrupted by a secretive US programme of cyber and electronic warfare designed to sabotage launches.
