Who Killed Martin Luther King? The Cover-Up of the Century

On December 8, 1999, a jury in Memphis, Tennessee, reached the verdict that Martin Luther King Jr. was killed as a result of a conspiracy involving the FBI, CIA, U.S. Army, Memphis police and the Mafia. After a five week trial which presented 70 witnesses, the jury (made up of six blacks and six whites) rejected the official position that the civil rights titan was shot by a lone assassin, James Earl Ray, who was jailed for 99 years for the crime and died in 1998. The verdict concluded a wrongful death civil lawsuit brought by the King family against Loyd Jowers, owner of Jim‚s Grill, a Memphis cafe located next to the scene of the shooting when it took place on April 4, 1968. The jury found Jowers guilty as one part of a large conspiracy created by government agencies. Jowers admitted his role but insisted that he did not know the identity of the target.

Donald Trump Endorsed By 'West Coast Choppers' Founder Jesse James: "This guy is the Real Deal, and will Make America Great Again."

46-year-old Jesse Gregory James, TV personality and founder of West Coast Choppers, issued a hearty endorsement of Donald Trump yesterday. James' letter recounted his experience working with Trump and his family, seeing him up close for six weeks while he appeared on the NBC's reality show 'Celebrity Apprentice' in 2009. James ends his letter with "So before you guys react to what I have written here. One thing you know about me is Good or bad I will always tell it like it is. This guy is the Real Deal, and will Make America Great Again." Trump happily responded to the endorsement with a message back to James.

Let us start with an historical fact. Treason and betrayal by the highest levels is a common feature of history, whether it is Judas vs Jesus, Brutus vs Julius Caesar, Benedict Arnold, the Rosenbergs, Jonathan Pollard, Aldrich Ames, Robert Hanssen. It is just a fact of life. It does happen.

Boat Drama: What If These Were Iranian Boats in US Waters?

Journalist Glen Greenwald wrote that “Two days later (and after Tehran released all ten US sailors) Washington had completely changed its story, leaving more questions than answers.” Greenwald made a good point as he wrote "This unauthorized trespass into Iranian territorial waters was continuously depicted as an act of Iranian aggression (contrast that with how the US government suggested it would be in Turkey's rights not only to intercept but to shoot down any Russian jet that even briefly traverses its airspace).”.. The question in fact should not be about how Iran dealt with the situation. The question should rather be: if the scenario was exactly the reverse, and it was Iranian boats that had “mistakenly” drifted into US waters what would have happened?

Inspector General: Clinton emails had intel from most secretive, classified programs

Hillary Clinton's emails on her unsecured, homebrew server contained intelligence from the U.S. government's most secretive and highly classified programs, according to an unclassified letter from a top inspector general to senior lawmakers.

Fox News exclusively obtained the text of the unclassified letter, sent Jan. 14 from Intelligence Community Inspector General I. Charles McCullough III. It laid out the findings of a recent comprehensive review by intelligence agencies that identified "several dozen" additional classified emails -- including specific intelligence known as "special access programs" (SAP).

Crown Prince Meets Tribal Leaders Secretly to Destabilize Saudi Arabia

A prominent Saudi media activist revealed that Crown Prince and Interior Minister Mohammed bin Nayef has held secret talks with the country's tribal leaders to heighten internal conflicts and prevent empowerment of Mohammed bin Salman. "After news reports said that the Saudi king has decided to leave the power to his son, the Saudi crown prince has held some meetings with the tribal leaders to destabilize domestic conditions in Saudi Arabia," the activist who called for anonymity for security reasons told FNA on Tuesday. Noting that the details of these meetings are not known, he said it seems that Mohammed bin Nayef sees himslef entitled to the throne, and he, thus, seeks to spark internal problems and insecurity with the help of certain tribes to stir crisis and prevent the deputy crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman from ascending to the throne.

Western Media: Saudi Arabia Is in a State of Panic

The great Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — the long-time dictator of crude oil prices for the world — is struggling on all fronts, Business Insider said. The Saudis are losing their proxy wars in both Syria and Yemen; their OPEC leadership is under threat; they are not winning the crude oil price war; and its long-running alliance with the West is in question, Business Insider reported. From Saudi Arabia’s perspective, Iran seems to be gaining ground everywhere. Saudi Arabia has several weaknesses that help explain the current anxiety emanating from Riyadh.
1. Saudi Arabia losing its leadership in the OPEC
2. Burning through reserves — fast
3. Iran has assumed a very significant leadership role among Shia Arabs
4. Saudi Arabia cannot defeat Iran in a direct war
5. Saudi Arabia knows it won't have U.S. support for a direct war with Iran

Canada Set To Unleash Negative Rates As Oil Patch Dies, Depression Deepens

This Wednesday, the Bank of Canada has a decision to make.

Canada’s oil “dream” is dying thanks to the inexorable slide in crude prices and as the IEA made clear earlier today, the pain is set to persist for the foreseeable future as the world “drowns in oversupply.”

“Lower for longer” has hit the country’s oil patch hard. We’ve spent quite a bit of time documenting the plight of Alberta, where job cuts tied to crude’s slide have led directly to rising suicide rates, soaring property crime, and increased food bank usage (not to mention booming business for repo men).

Russians by and large don’t care for Polish nationalists, but considering that most of their energies are going to be expended bickering with the EU, there is no reason not to passively support them. Even nationalist Poles realize that the biggest imminent threat to Poland is not Russian tanks advancing on Warsaw or even a return to dictatorship (i.e. a right-wing government dismantling the “adminstrative resource” that the previous left-wing government had built up) but the waves of Third World immigrants the likes of Merkel and Schulz are determined to enrich Europe with.

European Civilization Stands at the Precipice

Flooded by foreigners and having disowned its roots, are we witnessing the end of Europe? Visionaries and moralists, they don’t understand the psychology of the people coming from North Africa and the Middle East. These people came to escape European bombs, missiles and shells. They fled burning towns, broken relics and rotting corpses. They came to Europe not for a piece of bread and work, but to be saved from death. But also, with a feeling of revenge, seeing Europeans as enemies, involved in their disaster, destroying their civilization and way of life. Europe, including Germany has forgotten its past. The countries of Europe have lost the will to exist, to resist, forgetting their great statesmen and culture. An amorphous Europe continues to open its doors to those who hate Europe and Germany. It is a sad fate for a cold clime to be filled by the hot clay of hatred.

Russia made a bold ecological and civilizational choice when, in September, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich announced that "as far as genetically-modified organisms are concerned, we have made the decision not to use any GMO in food productions." “We are not only able to feed ourselves taking into account our lands, water resources—Russia is able to become the largest world supplier of healthy, ecologically clean and high-quality food which the Western producers have long lost, especially given the fact that demand for such products in the world market is steadily growing,” Putin said. He also said that in the last decade, Russia has gone from importing half of its food to becoming a net exporter. Putin claims that Russia now makes more money from selling food than from selling weapons and fuel.

Russian analyst: Crisis in Russia-Turkey relations emerged before bomber incident

"The main crisis in Russian-Turkish relations followed a specific incident - the downing of Russia’s Sukhoi-24 military plane over Syria," the expert acknowledged. "But in reality the crisis is far deeper and it stems from the gap in relations between the two countries in the sphere of economics, culture and geopolitics. Crises erupt when there is a gap in such spheres." He presented a fundamental study written by a group of co-authors under his guidance, titled Foreign Policy Discourse of Leading Turkish Policy Actors (2010-2015). The book contains analysis of Turkish political parties varying in their attitude to Russia. Avatkov believes that thorough examination of these parties’ policies is crucial today as it has never been. "If Russia wishes to conduct long-term policy towards Turkey, it should keep a close watch on political parties. This will make it possible to conduct a dialogue with them, being aware who you dialogue partner really is," Avatkov said.

Big Bank Stocks Have Been Crushed: Here’s Why

The conventional wisdom was that the Fed’s rate hike on December 16 of last year was going to help big bank stocks by boosting their ability to charge heftier interest rates on loans. That theory has pretty much been relegated to the dust bin of financial fairy tales along with the Fed’s prediction that the slump in oil prices would be “transitory.” Bank stocks have been cratering like it’s early 2008 all over again and oil prices can’t find a floor, having broken through $60, $50, $40 and now $30 a barrel over the past 12 months.

Under powerful attack from Bernie Sanders in last night’s debate over her cozy relationship with Wall Street titans like Goldman Sachs, Hillary Clinton stated that Sanders is “the only one of this stage that voted to deregulate the financial market in 2000. . .which [was] one of the main causes of the collapse in ’08.”

Sanders, of course, was the only one of the stage who could have voted to deregulate in 2000. Neither Clinton nor Martin O’Malley served in Congress at that time.

But this fact doesn’t render Hillary’s shot unfair, at least by current standards. I imagine that most presidential candidates would be willing to make such an argument if put on the defensive.

Judge Abner Mikva, a counsel in the Clinton White House and mentor to President Obama, noted that even Obama “was very, very dismayed by the Marc Rich pardon and the basis on which it appears to have been granted.”

Privacy safeguards used by Clooney, DiCaprio, and Obama under fire by the Treasury Department

As a result of these ridiculous AML laws, walking around with too much cash is now considered an indication of criminal activity.

And thanks to the Civil Asset Forfeiture rules in the Land of the Free, police have the authority to confiscate your cash.

There’s no trial. No jury. They simply steal your money.

Believe it or not, the AML rules also apply to coin and jewelry dealers. So buying too much gold is now an indication of money laundering.

Having too many transactions in your bank account is considered ‘suspicious activity’.

(Of course, if you have too little financial activity, your bank account can be considered ‘dormant’ and turned over to the state.)

Even going to the bank to withdraw your own money is now considered suspicious. It’s madness.

The latest craze for the anti-money laundering crusaders is going after people who buy luxury real estate without a mortgage.

’13 Hours’ Review: Riveting Indictment of Obama, Hillary, and The DC Media

There is no question, though, that the arch-villain of “13 Hours” is the White House and Clinton’s State Department. Bay never names names, never launches a diatribe, but his fury at the American government for abandoning these men, along with the 30 or so others stationed at the annex, is both palpable and contagious. (An offhand comment about one of the attacking terrorists being a former Gitmo detainee is especially timely.)

Overhead, throughout this terrible night, a military drone witnesses everything, and our government does nothing. Repeatedly, desperate calls are made begging for air support — if nothing else, a simple flyover to scare the militants. Just a few hundred miles away, F-14s sit idle on an aircraft carrier.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am going to have to take back some of the bad things I said about Michael Bay. Noam Chomsky points out that big status quo-loving corporations own the media, cater to other big status quo-loving advertisers, and filter out stories which question the status quo.

Negative Oil Prices Arrive: Koch Brothers' Refinery "Pays" -$0.50 For North Dakota Crude

Do you have some extra space in your garage or attic? Or perhaps you own an oil tanker you aren’t currently using. Or maybe you have a storage unit that’s got a little extra room next to an old mattress and box springs. If so, you may want to call up oil producers in North Dakota and ask if they’d care to send you some free oil.

Mission Accomplished? The U.S. Spent Half A Billion On Mining In Afghanistan With "Limited Progress"

The United States has spent nearly half a billion dollars and five years developing Afghanistan’s oil, gas and minerals industries — and has little to show for it, a government watchdog reported today. In fact, the task force spent $46.5 million to try to convince companies to agree to develop the resources, but not one ended up signing a contract.

America’s Arab Allies Debate Need for Genocide Against ‘Infidels’

Two key allies of the United States are the fundamentalist-Sunni governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia — two fundamentalist Sunni countries whose ruling families are (like the U.S. Government) hostile to countries that are ruled by Shiites, particularly Iran and Syria. (In Syria, most Shiites, including the leader Bashar al-Assad, are called Alawites.)

WebMD — The Latest Shill for Monsanto

WebMD is the most visited health site on the web. While the general belief is that it's a trustworthy source of "independent and objective" health information, it's become quite clear that WebMD is a shill, using its influence to primarily promote corporate-backed health strategies and products.

Partnerships and sponsorships1 color WebMD's recommendations across the board, and "passive" promotion techniques, where advertisements are designed to look more like editorials, have become commonplace.

Top General Warns of New ISIS Threat… in Jamaica?

It appears America’s military fear-mongers have just about run out of new ways to try to frighten us into submission. So the best they are able to come up with now is to say the boogie men are heading south, to the blue waters and delightful beaches of the very un-Muslim Caribbean.

The revolution continues with shipping freeze, stock plunge, US dollar dumping, $20 oil, attacks on gold mines and more

Perhaps the most dramatic, and under-reported, new aspect of this ongoing struggle has been the freeze on global shipping. To confirm reports on the internet of a shipping freeze, this writer called NYK lines, a major international shipping firm, and was told “we cannot speak for the whole world but, as far as our company is concerned, with current shipping prices we will lose money every time we send a ship so we have stopped.” Chinese government sources told this newsletter shipping companies are now demanding to be paid in Chinese yuan and not dollars and that is a major reason for the freeze in shipping worldwide. If this continues, it will lead to empty super-market shelves and social unrest, especially in the US. The announcement last week by Walmart that it is closing 269 stores is just the beginning.

Airbrushed History - Eisenhower's Death Camps

There's so much airbrushed history and lies about the end of the second world war. Fortunately we have the internet to take on the epistemological cartoon that America was not capable of its own holocaust after the war on German soil, an act the British were so appalled by they refused to starve German prisoners of war to death unlike Eisenhower who is responsible for 'amputees slithering about in the mud, starving and dehydrated to death in German POW camps'.

Deanna Spingola actually breaks down crying in this recording listing the horrors the Americans inflicted on German prisoners of war.

Baghdad kidnappings: Were American civilians working for US defence giant on ‘critical’ Iraq special forces programme?

Two of three missing US civilians kidnapped by Shiite militia forces in Baghdad at the weekend are believed to have been working on a “critical” multimillion dollar deal to train Iraq’s counter-terrorism forces in the fight against the so-called Islamic State.

The Bureau has learned that a contract for US defence giant General Dynamics to provide services to Iraq’s government was quietly renewed by Washington without any formal tendering process towards the end of last year.

What's more, 36,245 were wounded, and as many as 3.2 million have been displaced, according to a United Nations report released Tuesday. "The violence suffered by civilians in Iraq remains staggering," the report reads. "The so-called ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL) continues to commit systematic and widespread violence and abuses of international human rights law and humanitarian law."

Offensive propaganda

Offensive propaganda or new propaganda offensives? At the start of this year the Obama administration announced new online initiatives to bolster its foreign policy narratives and as a means to counter others, for example, this network, RT. Maybe a better course of action would be for the US State Department to ask itself why fewer and fewer people trust and believe it?

Blackwater Mercenaries Killed as Saudi-Led Invasion of Yemen Spirals Into Disaster

A war that you never read about (with good reason) is the Saudi-led invasion of Yemen. This is mostly because responsible media outlets are too busy reporting on Russia's bloodless "invasion" of Crimea, and also because Saudi Arabia bombs at least one hospital or center for the blind each week. Nobody wants to embarrass a close ally with bad press, right?

Obama Changes Tack on Russia, Calls up Putin

The US President Barack Obama sprang a New Year surprise on his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin by telephoning him Wednesday night. It was a double surprise since the Russian New Year Holiday Week is ending on Thursday, January 14, and Obama rarely makes such gestures; and, secondly, the call signified a virtual U-turn just a day after the US president had made some unfriendly remarks about the Kremlin’s policies and caricatured Russia as undermining the international system.

Uri Avnery on The Widening Gap

The background of this affair concerns the very foundation of the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Since the Six-day War of 1967, Israel has been occupying, among other territories, the area called by the Arabs, many Israelis and most of the rest of the world "the West Bank" (of the Jordan river) and by the Israeli government and right-wing Israelis "Judea and Samaria", their Biblical appellation.

Almost since the beginning of the occupation, the Israeli right-wing has been making strenuous efforts to "settle the land" – putting up Jewish settlements, towns, villages and small "outposts" all over the place.

To whom do the lands, on which the settlements are built, officially belong?

The Republican presidential candidate's suggested treatment of Muslims in American has been compared to Hitler's treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany

Webmaster's Commentary:

Setting aside that there are unanswered questions as to just what did happen in Germany before we were all born, there is a major difference. The Jews were not pouring into Germany from other nations. All Trump is saying is that we have a nation's right to close the doors when prudent.

Why I’m so embarrassed today for Britain. The same parliament that hasn’t banned a single UK citizen from returning after fighting for ISIS is seriously debating banning Trump from its shores

As I write this column, members of the UK Parliament are debating whether or not to ban Donald Trump from entering Britain.

They’ve allocated three hours of time to do this.

Time that could have been spent debating terrorism, famine, nuclear weapons, the Middle East refugee crisis or the Syrian War.

But no, instead British law-makers have concluded their own time is best served seriously considering a proposal to ban a man who may end up being the next President of the United States.

The phantom trade

By now we seem to have a fairly good grip on what has led to the spectacular fall in commodity prices over the course of the last year: it’s essentially a supply side problem. A supply side built to cater for the booming China of the 1990s has been paired with a demand side more reminiscent of the 1980s.

Webmaster's Commentary:

All economics comes down to ordinary people being able to buy what is being grown or manufactured. As wages and salaries get driven down while costs and taxation goes upo, the system must break down at some point, and all the "stimulus" and QE cannot stop that reality.

Anonymous phone calls, fears of stalking and veiled threats: How power-hungry Hillary torpedoed the torrid affair between Bill Clinton and 21-year-old campaign worker that threatened to destroy her master plan to become president

Bill Holter from JS Mineset joins us to cover the unfolding global economic collapse. “This is it. We’re watching the meltdown. This is history being made.” Bill says.

Holter explains, “The Fed has lied themselves into a corner. They raised rates and here we are a month later, the system is imploding and they have no bullets left. They are going to have to do QE4, they are going to have to do negative interest rates.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The stock markets are up, and they openly admit it is on the rumors of renewed "stimulus"; the creation of instant money poured all over stock brokerages and banks, without which, the system would have collapsed by now.

In other words, the banker system is on life support, as the real economy is shutting down around it.

Israel vs Iran: Israel Loses, *Big* Time

First, there has never been any real evidence of an Iranian military nuclear program, but even more important is the fact that Iran never had any need for nuclear weapons. A lot of anti-Iranian propaganda is directly predicated on the notion that having nuclear weapons is highly desirable, yields some big advantage, and that all nations would want to acquire them. This is utter nonsense. In reality, possessing a few nuclear devices would only turn these devices into high priority targets for destruction by the USA and/or Israel. And even if, by some miracle, the Iranians managed to hide these devices while deploying them on missiles or aircraft, using any one such device would guarantee a massive retaliation from the Empire. What is the point of having a few nukes when Israel has hundreds?

In Colonial America, attorneys trained attorneys but most held no “title of nobility” or “honor”. There was no requirement that one be a lawyer to hold the position of district attorney, attorney general, or judge; a citizen’s “counsel of choice” was not restricted to a lawyer; there were no state or national bar associations. The only organization that certified lawyers was the International Bar Association (IBA), chartered by the King of England, headquartered in London, and closely associated with the international banking system. Lawyers admitted to the IBA received the rank “Esquire” — a “title of nobility”. “Esquire” was the principle title of nobility which the 13th Amendment sought to prohibit from the United States.

Why? Because the loyalty of “Esquire” lawyers was suspect.

More Islamic State Terrorism in Jakarta, Indonesia? A First Glance Only Raises Questions

Though the actual people pulling the triggers in these terror acts may be Islamic extremists, in every case there are invisible imperialistic government forces from the West that are pulling the strings from behind the scenes, most often CIA handlers who coordinate state sponsored covert operations working directly with the alleged terrorist patsies, financing, arming and training them. Former career military intelligence and CIA officer and whistleblower Robert David Steele said:

Most terrorists are false flag terrorists, or are created by our own security services. In the United States, every single terrorist incident we have had has been a false flag, or has been an informant pushed on by the FBI. In fact, we now have citizens taking out restraining orders against FBI informants that are trying to incite terrorism. We’ve become a lunatic asylum.

Regarding the violence in Jakarta, Robert David Steele believes that the CIA cannot be discounted as possible perpetrators. Several months ago his open source intelligence network "documented expectations that CIA planned to begin covert operations in Indonesia to further inflame the equation of Islam with terrorism."

Burning Bridges: Turkey’s ‘Civil War to Intensify in Coming Months’

"So far, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has sworn that the PKK militants will “choke in the ditches” they have dug in residential areas to keep the security forces away."
"The co-chair of the PKK-dominated Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), Cemil Bayik responded in kind last week. “No reason exists currently to end the armed struggle. Rather, the civil war in Turkey will intensify in the coming months,” he said, Al-Monitor reported."
