Harvey Weinstein 'offered Myleene Klass a sex contract' after meeting at Cannes Film Festival

Weinstein, who was married at the time, is accused of assuming Myleene would have sex with him and intended to keep her silent with a ‘confidentiality agreement’, according to The Sun.

However, upon hearing his offer Klass reportedly fled the lunch feeling ‘disgusted and angry’.

A friend of the former Hear’Say singer claimed: ‘She thought his intentions were genuine. But as soon as she found out what he really wanted, she told him to f*** off.’

That same year, Klass spoke about an encounter with a big ‘Hollywood star’ whose PA handed her a confidentiality contract.
She said it would ‘bring Hollywood down’ if she named him.

'He's a predator': Emma Thompson compares Harvey Weinstein to Jimmy Savile and says allegations are 'tip of the iceberg'

"I didn't know about these things but they don't surprise me at all and they are endemic to the system anyway," she said.

Judicial Watch: Court Overrules Trump Administration Objections & Will Review State Department Clinton-Petraeus Emails

Judicial Watch today announced that a federal judge will personally review, in camera, unredacted copies of emails between then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and General David Petraeus. In taking these steps, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia rejected the Trump State Department’s argument that information regarding a potential personnel appointment is protected by a claim of personal privacy. This is the third federal court that has turned aside Trump administration efforts to defend Hillary Clinton’s email and related information from further review.

Did Bannon Just Take Down Harvey Weinstein?

Weinstein, in effect, was perfectly suited for his role. He is a man of infinite appetites with poor impulse control. A pathetic loser with power over hot, young women desperate for fame.

And these women made the trade willingly. “Small price to pay, right?” Wrong.

Look at the women most opposed to Trump, the Ashley Judds, the Gwynneth Paltrows. They were all used by Weinstein or someone like him. More will come out every day.

Weinstein scandal: What it tells us about celebs, politics & Hollywood

Harvey Weinstein’s sexual harassment scandal isn’t only an indictment of his twisted soul, but of America’s as well.

The story of Weinstein, the uber-powerful film producer, co-founder of Miramax Films and major donor to Democratic politicians, who got fired from his job as co-Chairman of The Weinstein Company after the New York Times ran an article exposing his serial sexual harassment of female employees, is such a perfect storm of corruption, depravity and hypocrisy that it exquisitely encapsulates the moral decay of America.

The New York Times piece revealed that Weinstein has settled at least eight different sexual harassment lawsuits over the years. The article was just the tip of a really grotesque iceberg, for in its wake a plethora of other claims has surfaced.

DOLLAR BLOW: China Launches New ‘Yuan-Ruble’ Payment Mechanism

The US received a major blow to its global hegemony, and one which is sure to trigger more fighting talk from hawks in Washington.

This week it was announced that China has established a ‘payment versus payment‘ (PVP) system to clear Chinese yuan and Russian ruble transactions. The aim, we’re told, is to to “reduce risks and improve the efficiency” of its foreign exchange system.

The new mechanism, which could rival the long-held monopoly of the US SWIFT inter-bank payment system (allowing for simultaneous settlement of transactions in two different currencies) was launched on Monday after receiving approval from China’s central bank, according to a statement by the country’s foreign exchange trading system.

In Las Vegas, the casino is always watching — and yet it missed Stephen Paddock

Casinos like Mandalay Bay “spend millions and millions of dollars on security,” said a surveillance expert who helped install an early version of Mandalay Bay's security systems after it opened in the 1990s. The system he installed had close to 1,200 cameras, and he guesses Mandalay Bay has about 3,000 cameras now.

“They’re all recording 24/7. Anybody who walks through that door is an asset. They’re going to take care of their assets,” said the expert, who declined to be identified because of concerns of future litigation.

But hallways can be difficult for security cameras to capture — they might be too long or too dark to show what's actually happening — so hotels instead put cameras on bottlenecks like elevator banks. “Typically they want to see who’s coming onto the floor and off the floor, and they can tell now who goes into rooms with the keycards,” the expert said.

Las Vegas Shooting Victim: “There Was 100% More Than One Shooter,” Gates To Concert Were Locked Shortly Before Attack

Las Vegas mass shooting victim Rocky Palermo was shot in the pelvis during the horrific attack and is now speaking out about what he saw and believes happened, including the presence of multiple shooters as well as locked concert gates and police telling frantic civilians to go in the other direction.

Palermo, who has done various interviews since the attack, appeared on “The Blast” with a series of shocking comments that correlate with various other reports indicating that multiple shooters carried out the attack and that the FBI is actively covering this up.

“I definitely do believe that there was 100% more than one shooter, every other person that I’ve talked to that did unfortunately get hit as well, have all said the same things,” Palermo detailed.

The man then goes on to explain that after being shot he ran “about 200 yards” to hide behind a car, all the while hearing bullets fly past him at what he believes was ground level.

'I opened the door and he was sitting there masturbating': English actress accuses Harvey Weinstein of 1990 sexual assault that 'ruined her career'

Sophie Dix said her career was 'massively cut down' after the film producer allegedly pushed her onto his bed at a London hotel in 1990 before 'tugging at her clothes' and exposing himself.

She alleges that the evening then took a dramatic turn, explaining: 'Before I knew it, he started trying to pull my clothes off and pin me down and I just kept saying "No, no, no". But he was really forceful.

'I remember him pulling at my trousers and stuff and looming over me and I just sort of – I am a big strong girl and I bolted ... ran for the bathroom and locked the door.'

She added: 'After a while I remember opening the door and seeing him just there facing the door masturbating, so I quickly closed the door again and locked it. Then when I heard room service come to the door I just ran.'

Is Harvey Weinstein BROKE? Movie mogul borrowed $4 million from crisis loan firm - and slashed $1 million from Hamptons estate price then sold his mom's house for $600,000 discount

  • DailyMail.com finds evidence he took out an $4 million mortgage from a crisis loan company on his Greenwich Village townhouse earlier this year
  • He turned to crisis loan company for the cash advance despite having a $6 million mortgage already on home worth estimated $12.5 million
  • His total personal mortgage borrowings are now at least $15.5 million, which at the average mortgage rate would cost him $71,000 a month
  • Weinstein is also hawking his most valuable property, an estate in the Hamptons which he and wife Georgina Chapman bought in 2012, slashing the price from $13.5 million to $12.8 million
  • And he sold his mother's home in Westport, Connecticut, for $1.65 million just two days before the story of his sex shame broke - having cut the price by $600,000 to seal a deal

Is Hillary REALLY giving away Harvey's tainted donations? Confusion mounts over Clinton's pledge - while her usual charity is her OWN foundation and she could get a handy tax break too

Weinstein gave $33,590 to the Hillary Victory Fund and $5,400 to Hillary for America during the 2016 election.

Clinton indicated she will donate the Weinstein's money out of her own income rather than from the campaign organization.

'I give 10 percent of my income to charity every year. This will be part of that,' Clinton said in an interview with CNN on Wednesday.

Tax experts said under this scenario she would be able to deduct this money from her income taxes.

Julian Block, a former special agent at the IRS and a tax attorney in New York, said her pledge raised significant questions.

'He's an actual PREDATOR': Emma Thompson calls out Harvey Weinstein and says she 'spent her twenties trying to get old men's tongues out of her mouth' as she details rampant sexual harassment in film industry

Emma Thompson says she had no idea that Harvey Weinstein had been sexually harassing and assaulting young stars over the past three decades, but the actress and Oscar-winning screenwriter is not surprised she told BBC News.

The British star, 58, said that behavior like Weinstein's is 'endemic to the system,' and something she has experienced with 'many' other men in similar positions over the years.

Asked if there were others in Hollywood like Weinstein, she said: ‘Of course, many, many...I spent my 20s trying to keep old men’s tongues out of my mouth.’

She also dismissed the idea that Weinstein's behavior was the result of addiction.

'I don't think you can describe him as a sex addict. He's a predator,' said Thompson.

'He's an actual predator, he's dangerous and what he's done and what he's doing is criminal.'

One of Ayn Rand’s most notorious claims is that Europeans and their descendants were justified in driving Indian tribes off their lands because aboriginal Americans “did not have the concept of property or property rights,” and because they “wish[ed] to continue a primitive existence.” Rand also claims the Indian tribes had no right to the land they lived on because “they didn’t have a settled society,” and “had predominantly nomadic tribal ‘cultures.'” Rand even uses scare quotes around “cultures” to perhaps imply that Indian culture was not any type of culture at all.

Trump's New Executive Order Makes It Easier to Buy Insurance Outside of Obamacare

There is something clever, almost cunning, about Obamacare's policy scheme: It requires unequivocal political support from an administration in order to avoid accusations that the law is being undermined. It is a kind of joint political-policy trap, in which the only solution to the law's failings is to bail it out.

This is evident in the reaction to the executive order on health care President Trump signed today. Trump's order is light on specifics, but it is intended to facilitate the expansion of association health plans, which would let trade groups and small businesses band together to purchase health insurance like large employers. These plans would be exempt from some of Obamacare's rules.

Power Grid Failures: CA Wildfires Are Now A Serious Critical Catastrophic Event

The death toll continues to rise because of the California wildfires currently scorching across wine country. With 23 dead and hundreds missing, the fires are labeled as a “serious critical catastrophic event” complete with power grid failures.

The wind known as the Diablo is picking up again, the air is dry, there is no rain in sight and the killer wildfires that have scorched the wine country of Northern California remain almost completely uncontained. Hurricane Rally Stalls: GM Forced To Idle Detroit Plant Amid "Slow Demand"

General Motors' stock has experienced an unprecedented rally over the past six weeks as wall street has increasingly bought into the thesis that a one-time, short-lived, pull forward of demand from folks needing to purchase replacement cars following Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Hurricane Irma in Florida suddenly means that the company is worth about 30% more than it was the day before Hurricane Harvey struck.

General Motors Co. plans to close a Detroit factory through the end of the year and deepen production cuts to slow-selling cars the plant manufactures, idling some workers and letting go others around the holiday season in response to weak sales.

GM will temporarily close its Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant for about six weeks starting in mid-November, said people familiar with the plan. The move will lay off roughly 1,500 workers who help build four low-demand models at the plant.

The little red pill being pushed on the elderly

The maker of a little red pill intended to treat a rare condition is raking in hundreds of millions of dollars a year as it aggressively targets frail and elderly nursing home residents for whom the drug may be unnecessary or even unsafe,?a CNN investigation has found.

And much of the money is coming straight from the federal government.
The pill, called Nuedexta, is approved to treat a disorder marked by sudden and uncontrollable laughing or crying -- known as pseudobulbar affect, or PBA. This condition afflicts less than 1% of all Americans, based on a calculation using the drugmaker's own figures, and it is most commonly associated with people who have multiple sclerosis (MS) or ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

One of the many reasons why drug companies are so financially successful, is that doctors are compensated for prescribing "off book" prescriptions by the pharmaceutical houses manufacturing theer drugs.

I know this from experience, because it actually happened to me.

At 68, if an MD starts talking about an "off book" prescription for something I am dealing with, meaning it has not been tested for specific issues for which they want me to take a drug, I have zero problem asking them: "Are you being compensated by the manufacturer of this drug to prescribe it"?!?

It is a VERY reasonable question to ask your MD; if they balk and hem and haw, they probably are being compensated by the drug manufacturer.

Why U.S. and Saudi Arabia Back Rohingya in Myanmar

Demonstrations, protests and online petitions have appeared worldwide to defend the struggle of the Rohingya people who have been driven from Myanmar into exile. What is of concern is that political forces with no history of or interest in defending the rights of these oppressed people, including the U.S. and Saudi regimes, have joined this effort.

While he was threatening People’s Korea, Iran and Venezuela in his United Nations speech, U.S. President Donald Trump also demanded that the U.N. Security Council take “strong and swift action” to end violence against Myanmar’s Rohingya population.

U.S. government officials, including U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Vice President Mike Pence, have called for immediate action and delivery of humanitarian aid to the Rohingya.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

One could not help but note the intense irony of this Administration's policy on Myanmar and their treatment of the Rohingyas; but it reminded me, again, of Karl Marx's observation that all wars are economic in their origin, and how completely correct that assessment remains, even in the 21st century.

Israel cancels ban on racist answers in civics exam

The Education Ministry has canceled a prohibition against giving racist answers on the civics matriculation exam.

The original rule, published shortly before the school year began, stated that “racist or inflammatory statements” would result in the response receiving no credit. But a few days ago, the head of the ministry’s pedagogical secretariat, Moshe Weinstock, rescinded this rule, on the grounds, according to the ministry, that “we need to inculcate the change gradually.”

Weinstock was appointed by Education Minister Naftali Bennett. Members of the ministry’s civics advisory committee who are affiliated with Bennett’s Habayit Hayehudi party supported his reversal.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Regarding the education of its kids, what else else would one expect of such a vilely apartheid, self-proclaimed theocracy with nuclear weapons?!?

Democracy and peace are not on Tel Aviv's agendea whatsoever, but it wants the acquisition of territory, and by any means necesssary.

And to demonstrate what I mean, look at the map of Eretz Israel, which is how the Zionists in Israel want to redraw its borders; notice how many other countries lose territory in its quest to create a country with borders which stretch from the Nile to the Euphrates Rivers:

    Map: Greater Israel

Trump’s Disturbing New Guantánamo Policy: Allowing Hunger Strikers to Starve to Death

Disturbing news from Guantánamo, via the human rights organization Reprieve. Yesterday, in a press release, Reprieve explained that the authorities at Guantánamo have stopped force-feeding hunger-striking prisoners, a practice that has existed for ten years, because of a new Trump administration policy.”

Hunger strikers have existed at Guantánamo almost since the prison opened, and in 2013 a prison-wide hunger strike drew worldwide condemnation for President Obama’s inaction in moving towards closing the prison, as he had promised on his second day in office. Inconvenienced by Republican lawmakers, who had raised considerable obstacles to the release of prisoners, Obama had chosen not to challenge the Republicans, and had, instead, done nothing. The hunger strike changed all that, but towards the end of 2013, after the release of prisoners resumed, the authorities at Guantánamo stopped reporting the numbers of men who were on a hunger strike.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

These are not "Unlawful Combatants", as the Bush regime characterized these men; they are prisoners of war, and as such, should be afforded all the rights and priveleges afforded by the Geneva Conventions, to which, I believe, the US government is still (allegedly) a signator.

What the Geneva Conventions said about the treatment of Prisoners of War

They should be either tried for their alleged crimes, or released to a country willing to take them in; it is just that simple.

But what the US military must be terrified about, once these men die from the consequences of their self-induced starvation, are their autopsies getting out, which will most likely demonstarate that for some of them, water boarding was not the only torture they endured.

‘If Trump reneges on Iran deal it’d show he is being controlled by Israeli lobby’

If US President Donald Trump pulls out from the international nuclear deal with Iran it would be further evidence that his foreign policy is being controlled by the Israeli lobby, a former US Senate candidate says.

“If Mr. Trump reneges on this deal it would be further evidence that his foreign policy like that of several of his predecessors is being controlled by the Israeli lobby and the Zionist government of Israel at the expense of what’s truly in American interest,” said Mark Dankof, who is also a broadcaster and pastor in San Antonio, Texas,“Israel clearly is trying to subvert this treaty. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is trying to subvert American continuance with this treaty,” he told Press TV on Wednesday.

Richard Branson’s Brexit strategy: Wait for Leave voters to die, then rejoin EU

He said young people “overwhelmingly” want to be part of Europe, and will continue fighting to rejoin the European bloc.

“The older generation is dying off. Whether there’s a second referendum before Brexit happens, I’m sure the Tory party will do their best not to allow that to happen, within five years there will be a government in power in Britain that will ask Europe for a chance for Britain to re-enter,” said the billionaire.

“And because there are so many young people who will be a little older by then, and so many older [people] who voted for Brexit will have died off, I think Britain will become a part of Europe again.”

In blocking arms to Yemen, Saudi Arabia squeezes a starving population

Late last year, the Kota Nazar, a Singaporean ship with 636 containers of steel, paper, medicine and other goods, set sail to Hodeida, the largest cargo port in war-torn Yemen.

It never got there. Like dozens of other ships carrying food and supplies to Yemen over the past 30 months, the Kota Nazar was stopped by a Saudi Arabian warship blocking Yemen’s ports on the Red Sea.

Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies have been stationing naval forces in and around Yemeni waters since 2015. Western governments approved the show of military force as a way to stop arms reaching Houthi fighters trying to overthrow Yemen’s internationally recognized government.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

There's one very real fact that Reuters is omitting with great impunity here: the US government and military have been the primary enablers of Saudi's genocide against the Yemeni people, by providing both the weapons and "guidance" for their bombing runs.

Take a good, hard look at the image of that emaciated child its mom is holding up; now, imagine that was your kid. How would you feel, knowing the that it was the OUSSA (The Occupied, Unhinged States of America) contributing to that child's slow death, through malnutrition, by supporting the Saudi military here?!?

Folks, this is what is being done in Yemen with your tax dollars and in your name.

We need to have a quiet, peaceful, Quaker-like conversation, nationally, about this, then peacefully petition the US government to stop our involvement in this genocidal war against Yemen RIGHT THE HECK NOW!!!

Yemen war ‘unconstitutional,’ says trio of US lawmakers

Three members of the US House of Representatives tried to illustrate the horrors of the Yemen conflict by comparing it to a hypothetical war affecting the US state of Washington ? with a population of 7.3 million ? “on the brink of starvation, with the port city of Seattle under a naval and aerial blockade, leaving it unable to receive and distribute countless tons of food and aid that is waiting offshore.”

“This nightmare scenario is akin to the obscene reality occurring in the Middle East’s poorest country, Yemen, at the hand of the region’s richest, Saudi Arabia, with unyielding support from the US military that Congress has not authorized and therefore violates the Constitution,” wrote Representatives Ro Khanna (D-California), Mark Pocan (D-Wisconsin) and Walter Jones (R-North Carolina) in a New York Times op-ed Tuesday.

Trump Expected to Designate Iran’s Revolutionary Guard as Terrorists

President Trump will announce his decertification of the P5+1 nuclear deal with Iran this week, and the White House has said he will provide details on his overall strategy for Iran going forward.

Today, we may have our first idea what this might entail, as officials are being quoted as saying President Trump is “likely” to designate Iran’s Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization.

This would be the first time the US has ever designated a branch of another country’s military as “terrorists,” and would be hugely problematic, signaling growing US hostility toward Iran. Opponents of the move warn it risks provoking an Iranian retaliation.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

About what alleged "bad behavour" is President Trump speaking, when he and his cronies can offer utterly no "proof" of such activities, and Iran is documented by the IAEA to be conforming to the P5+1 treaty completely?!?

I will chance a prediciction here, and hope to heaven that I am wrong; the US will be at war against Iran within the year, and the OUSSA (Occupied, Unhinged, Survieilled States of Amerika) will be reinstituting the draft, for both our young men, and our young women in this time frame.

I don't want to be "Mrs. Chicken Little of Oahu" here, but the tempo, and scope, of potential war against both North Korea and Iran, seem to be compounding incrementally.

Note that relatively recently (back in September), President Trump made the accusation that North Korea and Iran were colluding on their mutual weapons program.

Iran colluding with N. Korea on nukes: Trump

This linkage is truly troubling, and telegraphs clearly that he and his "Presidential Whisperers" have some very clear and present plans for attacking both countries militarily, although were I a betting person, I would bet that North Korea will be the first to be targeted in this manner.

I cannot believe that the President's advisors would have any confidence in doing two attempted decap strikes simultaneously, and expecting both of them to succeed.

Urban Noise Pollution Is Worst In Poor And Minority Neighborhoods And Segregated Cities

Most Americans think of cities as noisy places — but some parts of US cities are much louder than others. Nationwide, neighborhoods with higher poverty rates and proportions of black, Hispanic and Asian residents have higher noise levels than other neighborhoods. In addition, in more racially segregated cities, living conditions are louder for everyone, regardless of their race or ethnicity.

If you can't understand why women don't come forward about sexual abuse look at Terry Crews' story

But perhaps most glaringly, Crews’ story shines a light on the myth that sexual assault and harassment only happens to women who look a certain way, act a certain way, or dress a certain way. It shows the crime isn’t innocent, or one of sex. That it isn’t just overzealous feminists with an agenda to ruin hardworking men, complaining about workplace “banter”. Crews shows that sexual harassment and assault are crimes not of sex, but of power.

As a former NFL linebacker, Crews is physically imposing. Yet this studio executive still felt comfortable and secure enough to grope his private parts in view of not only his wife but presumably anyone else present at this public function. Crews is an actor, dependent upon studio executives for his livelihood, and out of fear of career repercussions, of not being believed, of the shame society places on victims of sexual assault, and of the innate power imbalance between executive and actor, he remained silent. He didn’t fight back.

US Lawmakers, European Nations Scramble to Save Iran Deal From Trump

President Trump is expected to decertify the P5+1 nuclear deal with Iran this week, pushing the issue to Congress for a vote. With Iran not having violated the deal, Trump’s efforts to kill it are fueling a lot of reaction at home and abroad.

European nations are looking down the road for ways to save the deal, saying that it would be difficult to keep the deal in place if the US withdraws. The nations are planning to issue a joint statement in support of the deal, and also commit to lobbying Congress on the matter.

Congress was broadly opposed to the deal two years ago, but it’s not clear that’s the case anymore. Heavy Israeli lobbying was making it a very divisive issue back then, and while the lobby still has some opposition to the deal, it’s not clear it’s as vocal, nor necessarily something the EU couldn’t counter with its own lobbying.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Killing this deal, as President Trump is expected to do, will result in three outcomes.

    1. IF Iran walks away from the deal, as much as Europe and the countries of the Middle East want it to stay, it will most probably go back to its nuclear development program.

    2. If that happens, that will be the "justification" the US and Israel will use as the excuse for a military campaign against it (which Russia will most probably join on the Iranian side).

    3. The world will understand that the Occupied, Unhinged, States of Amerika can never be trusted to keep any geopolitical treaty or promises whatsoever, so negotiating with this country is utterly useless, and a complete waste of time.

Trump's unholy Triumverate of "President Whisperers", Kelly, Mc Master, and Mattis, understand this perfectly well, but will not mention this to him, in fear of losing another opportunity to wage war, which seems to be the only answer they collectively have to any geopolitical challenges.

Palestinian factions Fatah and Hamas sign reconciliation deal in major breakthrough

Rival Palestinian factions Fatah and Hamas have signed a reconciliation deal – the biggest step forward for internal Palestinian relations in a decade.

The signing of a preliminary agreement in Cairo on Thursday was reached after two days of Egyptian-brokered negotiations. Fatah negotiator Azzam al-Ahmed and Hamas’s representative Saleh al-Arouri smiled and shook hands in a short ceremony presided over by Egypt’s chief of intelligence, Khalid Fawzi.

The move should ensure a unity government will once again administer both the West Bank and Gaza after the rift caused by militant group Hamas’s takeover of the Gaza Strip in 2007.

Paving the way to faster power: Scientists discover adding asphalt to lithium-ion batteries makes them charge up to 20 times faster

Lithium batteries that are made from asphalt have the capability of charging 10 to 20 times faster than commercial lithium-ion batteries, effectively charging a phone in just five minutes, a new study reveals. Researchers at Rice University in Houston, Texas are looking at replacing lithium-ion batteries with lithium-air and lithium metal batteries coupled with an unlikely ingredient – asphalt – to make batteries that charge faster and are less likely to short-circuit.

“The capacity of these batteries is enormous, but what is equally remarkable is that we can bring them from zero charge to full charge in five minutes, rather than the typical two hours or more needed with other batteries,” said Rice lab chemist James Tour.

Israel Approves Thousands More Settlement Homes in the West Bank

Israeli NGO Peace Now has announced that the government has approved plans for another 3,736 settlement units across the occupied West Bank. Details are still emerging on where they are located, but they include expansions in settlements deep in Palestinian territory.

Though Israel’s far-right government has been building at a rapid pace, previous announcements have centered primarily on the major settlement blocs, which Israel expects to annex in any peace deal. They present this as less controversial than expanding outposts near major Palestinian cities, or those built simply to cut off parts of Palestine to undermine a Palestinian state.

Peace Now warned that the current rate of expansion means Israel risks a “record year” of settlement expansion. They said this was in no small part because President Trump is seen as very accommodating to the construction.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

That both Israel's Netanyahu and Saudi Arabia's Prince Salman now fall under the category of President Trump's relatively new BFFs, does not augur well for peace in the Middle East at all.

US withdraws from Unesco over 'anti-Israel bias'

The United States has withdrawn from Unesco over what it claims is the organisation's "continuing anti-Israel bias".

The US State Department recently announced its intention to withdraw from the UN's cultural, scientific and educational organisation and become a permanent observer instead.

"This decision was not taken lightly, and reflects US concerns with mounting arrears at Unesco, the need for fundamental reform in the organisation, and continuing anti-Israel bias at Unesco," the State Department said in a statement.

The country hopes to remain a non-member observer state, in order to contribute US opinions and expertise on issues like press freedoms and protecting world heritage, according to the Department. The decision will take effect at the end of 2018.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, in President Trump's world view, no matter how many Palestinian homes are demolished in the West Bank or East Jerusalem; no matter how many Palestinian children are killed or tortured in jail by the IDF in order to exact "confessions" from them; no matter how deeply Israel's "final solution" to the "Palestinian Problem prevents Palestinians from getting desperately needed medical care outside of Gaza; the government of Israel, fronted by their evil incarnate Prime Minister Netanyahu, can do utterly no wrong.

With that being said, and understanding that Netanyahu is one of the most influential of President Trump's "whisperers", look for a US-sponsored war against Iran to begin in the not too distant future, bringing back the draft, and engaging with Russia over Iran, as Russian military and civilian leaders have sworn to protect it, should it come under US attack.

Israel has been cheerleading for decades for regime change in Tehran; what President Trump needs to understand, and sadly, does not, is that Tel Aviv is counting on the costs of such a war to be primarily borne by American blood and American money.

NATO “Concerned By Russia’s Military Buildup Close To Our Borders”

The Secretary-General of NATO said this on October 9th, speaking in NATO member Romania, right across the Black Sea from Russia’s region of Crimea (which had always been part of Russia except for the brief period 1954-2014, when the Soviet dictator arbitrarily transferred Crimea to Ukraine in 1954 — i.e., the Soviet dictator had made Crimea ‘Ukrainian’, and only in 2014 was a plebiscite actually held there in order to determine what the people there wanted, and more than 90% chose to be restored to the Russian Government). He said, on October 9th, that NATO is “concerned by Russia’s military buildup close to our borders”, but NATO actually had expanded up to Russia’s borders; in no way had Russia expanded up to NATO’s borders. NATO’s leader was importantly misrepresenting history, there.

One Angry American Rages: "Obama Lied, My 4th Health Plan Just Died"

Cue the funeral bagpipes. My fourth health insurance plan is dead.

Two weeks ago, my husband and I received yet another cancellation notice for our private, individual health insurance coverage. It's our fourth Obamacare-induced obituary in four years.

Our first death notice, from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, arrived in the fall of 2013.

The insurer informed us that because of "changes from health care reform (also called the Affordable Care Act or ACA)," our plan no longer met the federal government's requirements.

Never mind our needs and desires as consumers who were quite satisfied with a high-deductible PPO that included a wide network of doctors for ourselves and our two children.

Our second death knell, from Rocky Mountain Health Plans, tolled in August 2015.

Empire-Destroying Wars Are Coming To America Under Trump

WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.

A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small “inside” group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes.
