Greta Thunberg causes Twitter meltdown for winning Person of the Year - ‘Is this a joke?'

“She offers no practical solutions for the governments on how to save the Earth. Why is she the person of the year?”

Make Dice asked on Twitter: "Is this a joke?"

Lisa posted: “When is this gonna end with Greta? I wanna talk about other things.”

Carole J commented: “There are many more, other, deserving people and groups.”

Jason Self shared on Twitter: “They keep giving that crap to people who haven’t earned a thing.

“That brat is on a vacation and that is all. She has someone writing her little tantrums for her.”

Dwight Paulson added: “I’ve forgotten more about climate change than this teen knows. I’ve got socks older than her.”

Another social media user posted: “What exactly did she do again that earned her person of the year?”

Wintry mix makes for messy drive for morning commute

Wednesday morning’s wintry mix made for a messy drive to work for many. Plow drivers were busy and so were police.

The skies are bright and the streets are clear now, but there were times Wednesday morning when it was snowing so heavily, drivers could barely see the road.

Exposing The Promoters Of Climate Anxiety

I have gotten so many calls and emails from desperate folks I can't list them here. One woman tearfully told me her mother was desperately ill in California, but she couldn't move to be with her because she was afraid of the effects of climate change in that state. Another woman called, terribly worried about fires in western Washington from global warming. A few others asked about where they should move to escape our local apocalyptical conditions.

So why are all these people so anxiety-ridden and desperate? I believe it is the unconscionable exaggeration, hype, and fear-mongering of our media, special interest groups, some activist scientists, and a number of politicians. And it is unethical, ungrounded in science, and hurting the most vulnerable among us.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would like to hope that science teachers are teaching fact, and not freaking kids out, that the earth is going to die in 11 years, or whatever AOC said in her last tirade on this issue.

What we are facing, is not global warming right now, but a cycle of global cooling.

Global Warming By CO2 Or Cooling By A Grand Solar Minimum

And please check out this following article:

HomeArticlesThe Sun has been Spotless for a Total of 224 Days in 2019, and Counting… Looming Grand Solar Minimum

So why are we bing sold "global warming"?!? Ah, because there is money, vast sums of it, to be made, in trading carbon credits, which was precisely what Al Gore wanted to do; create an horrific planetary scenario which, of course, was going to destroy the planet, unless we all "did something"; and you know what?!?

He absolutely lied, because he didn't really have the science on his side, when he created his faux science schemes on global warming theory.

And looking outside our home here in Indiana, we are having the polar opposite of "global warming"; there's ice on the ground here, folks!

Majority of Germans Support Ditching Christmas Lights, Because Climate Change

A poll has found that a majority of people in Germany would scale back or scrap their festive Christmas lights altogether to combat climate change.

A majority of Germans said that because of environmental concerns, they would consider taking down their Christmas lights. Some 57 per cent said that they would decrease their use of Christmas lights or even abandon them entirely in the future.

Miami Art Week’s ‘sand’ piece on climate change could be made from toxic materials

There’s concern at Miami Art Week that a popular installation about climate change is anything but environmentally friendly, according to sources.

Artist Leandro Erlich’s much-buzzed-about work, “Order of Importance,” features 66 life-size replicas of cars and trucks constructed out of what appears to be sand along the South Beach shore. The traffic-jam replica, curated by art-world insider Ximena Caminos, is a commentary on Miami’s climate crisis.

But sources told Page Six the artist used a spray-foam insulation that contains hazardous chemicals. A source close to the project revealed that the installation was made using Sika PostFix, which, according to Home Depot’s safety-data sheet, should be kept “in suitable, closed containers for disposal.”

Jeremy Clarkson tells 'mad and dangerous' 16-year-old Greta Thunberg to 'go back to school' and 'shut up' in Australian TV rant

The television presenter, who was in Australia promoting the latest season of The Grand Tour, doubled down on his criticisms of the climate change campaigner.

'She's mad and she's dangerous and she's causing young children sleepless nights with her idiocy,' he said.

'I think she needs to go back to school and shut up.'

Clarkson's comments come just days after slammed Ms Thunberg in an interview with The Independent in which he branded her a 'stupid idiot.'

He said her speech at the United Nations - where she accused leaders of stealing her 'dreams and childhood' - offered no solutions.

'I think she's a weird Swede with a bad temper. Nothing will be achieved by sailing across the ocean in a diesel-powered yacht, and then lying about the diesel engine, he told the publication.

Snow falling in the Alps on second day of summer

It's the first week of summer and rather than sunshine and heat, it's snowing.

Many parts of Victoria have shivered through a cold and wet start to the hotter months, with snow blanketing the alps, leaving Victorian's reaching for their winter woollies.

Falls Creek and The Hotham Alpine Resort in Victoria and Perisher Ski Resort in New South Wales all saw significant dumps of snow this morning, with falls of between 15cms-30cms recorded.

Coldest summer day on record

Australia's lowest summer daily maximum temperature record was broken this week.

A surge of unseasonably cold air swept over southeastern Australia during the opening days of summer. This air mass produced thick snow in parts of Tasmania, Victoria and NSW and held daytime temperatures as much as 15 degrees below average in some places.

The lowest temperature measured during the opening days of December was -4.0 degrees at Tasmania's Mount Wellington early on Wednesday morning. This was Australia lowest summer temperature in four years.

More impressively, the highest temperature recorded at Thredbo Top Station during the 24 hours to 9am on Tuesday was only -1.0 degrees. This was Australia's lowest summer daily maximum temperature on record, beating -0.8 degrees at Mount Buller from December 25th in 2006.

Since “climate change” alarmism has flopped, the same scammers are now toying with a new phrase they hope will sound more urgent

Writing in Ad Age, professional brand strategist Aaron Hall said that he feels terms like “global warming” and “climate change” are too neutral and don’t grab enough attention.

His team came up with some ideas that they apparently hope will scare more people into voting for liberals. He said: “We need these folks to understand the severity of what’s happening to their planet and inspire them to make more eco-friendly life choices and pro-climate choices at the ballot box.”

In that spirit, two of his top choices are “global meltdown” and “global melting.”

Cardrona Alpine Resort postpones summer opening day due to snowstorm

Those excited to kick off their summer plan with riding on Cardrona will have to wait — because of snow.

On their Facebook page, the resort shared Cardrona looking like a winter wonderland, which is not what mountain bikers are after during this season.

Thunberg’s epic fail: Yacht captain flies to the rescue from Britain to Virginia

The teenage guru of environmental alarmists around the world does not fly due to the carbon emissions produced by air travel. Instead of flying to Madrid, Spain to attend the 2019 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 25), Greta Thunberg is crossing the Atlantic in a catamaran. Her adventure of crossing the ocean from Virginia to Portugal spotlights one glaring fact, though. The yacht captain who volunteered to sail the teen on her journey flew from England to Virginia, thus canceling out any savings of carbon emissions Thunberg may have managed.

A Clear Signal Of Climate Fraud

For the past 130 years, Colorado’s official record maximum temperature was 118 degrees on July 18, 1888 at Bennett.

The state climatologist has erased that, and replaced it with a 115 degree reading from July 20 this year. He said the weather is a clear signal of climate change.

The claim is that John Martin Reservoir, east of Las Animas, Colorado was 115 degrees on July 20, 2019. The 115 reading does not appear credible, because there is a USHCN station at Las Animas, which recorded only 107 degrees that day.

Las Animas has had 424 days over 105F since 1895, and this year’s peak of 107F was fairly average and nowhere near a record.

There is no reason to believe the 115 degree reading is legitimate, or that the 1888 record should be erased, but climate alarmists know they can rewrite history with impunity – because no one in the press will dare question the climate religion. They now take perfectly ordinary weather events, and turn them into all-time records.

Deadly winter storm continues to blast Northeast as schools are closed and flights are canceled from coast-to-coast and the entire country reels from days of heavy rain, snowfall and high winds

A blizzard-like blast from a deadly storm that has been raging across the United States since before Thanksgiving slammed the Northeast on Monday and is forecast to linger in parts until at least Wednesday.

The storm system has been dubbed Winter Storm Ezekiel by the Weather Channel and will barrel into 30 states through Tuesday. More than a foot has already fallen in Massachusetts, upstate New York and Vermont.

It is expected to linger in New York until just before sunrise on Tuesday, in Boston until early Tuesday afternoon and in Maine into Wednesday morning.

The bad weather has already forced the closure of schools and resulted in canceled flights from the East to West coast as the entire country reels from days of heavy rain, snowfall and high winds.

Denver snow forecast for Tuesday: Everything is closed (and it’s still snowing)

up, it’s snowing again. And it’s piling up out there.

Snow accumulation totaled 9 inches in downtown Denver and 9.5 inches at Denver International Airport, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Paul Schlatter. It’s not close to the city’s record total for any day in November, which Schlatter said was set in 1946 when the city got 14.3 inches of snow.

Frank Cooper, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service Office in Boulder, said snowfall began shortly before midnight in Denver with an especially intense band developing afterward dumping 3 inches over an hour in places like the airport.

“That’s when things really picked up at DIA,” Cooper said. More than 460 flights have been canceled.

The Israeli government is aiming to increase the volume of Israel’s defence exports, reported Globes, which has revealed the main points of the plan for the first time.

The project, being overseen by the Defence Ministry’s International Defence Cooperation Directorate (SIBAT) led by Brigadier General (Res.) Yair Kulas, will begin to be rolled out in early 2020.

According to Globes, the plan is based on “focused seminars for senior commanders in foreign armies”, Israeli military “assistance for promoting sales of Israeli weapons”, and “subsidising small and medium-sized defence companies seeking to sell arms around the world”.

Speaking this week, Kulas said that SIBAT favours a major expansion of agreements between countries, resulting in significant deals for the large defence companies, especially Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Rafael Advanced Defence Systems.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Color me unsurprised at this development; but one has to wonder how Israeli weaponry really stands up to that of China or Russia, at this point?!?

Climate FACTS: No warming has taken place in the United States since 2005, yet the media refuses to discuss the real scientific data

The USCRN thus provides the first untainted, accurate climate data recorded in the United States since the global warming hysteria first began, and far from proving what so-called experts and media outlets have been claiming, the data shows zero warming since 2005. In fact, temperatures in the United States are now likely slightly lower than they were back then.

This is in direct opposition to the claims of climate activists who insist that specific areas of the United States have shown marked increases in temperature over that time period.

Furthermore, scientists believe that it is likely there have been no temperature increases in the U.S. since at least the 1930s, since the raw temperature readings collected by the USCRN virtually match exactly what was recorded 80 years ago.

And, with the rapid increases in urban development that took place during that time, temperatures are actually likely even lower than those captured by these weather stations.

Kiwi climate change poll has stunning results as Niwa attacks MetService

A recent poll asking how concerned New Zealanders are about the climate has produced a shock result and suggests the Government has failed at educating people as their focus on profits outweighs the science and public good.

The poll, which had over 1000 votes in the first 24 hours, strongly suggests climate change isn't very concerning to almost half of the population - a result we did not expect. The poll was conducted on Twitter which historically leans left. It is not scientific but it's a good gauge. " has a strong rural following but Auckland is by far where most of our audience comes from so this poll really is quite stunning to us, that so many people aren't concerned".

The poll asked "As someone living in New Zealand, how much does Climate Change concern you as of today?". 49% voted "No Concern" while 27% said climate change here in New Zealand was of "massive" concern.

Jeff Bezos: ‘Move All Heavy Industry into Space’ to Save Earth

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has once again sounded the alarm on the environment, reportedly telling an audience in San Diego that all heavy industrial activity must be moved to space to save Earth.

Bezos appeared at the San Diego Air & Space Museum on Saturday to be inducted into the International Air & Space Hall of Fame for his work on Blue Origin, the space flight company he founded in 2000. The Times of San Diego reported that Bezos addressed a crowd of about 600 invitees at the private event.

OPCW Accused of Manipulating Syrian Chemical Attack Report

WikiLeaks published an email sent by a member of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), who accused the organization of manipulating their report on an alleged chemical attack that was said to have taken place in the Syrian city of Douma on April 7th 2018.

In response to the alleged attack, the US, UK, and France carried out airstrikes on the Syrian government on April 14th 2018. The author of the email was a member of a fact-finding team the OPCW sent to Douma to investigate the attack.

The author accuses the OPCW of selectively omitting certain facts. The email, dated June 22nd 2018, reads, "Many of the facts and observations outlined in the full version are inextricably interconnected and, by selectively omitting certain ones, an unintended bias has been introduced into the report, undermining its credibility."

Victoria University of Wellington green goals could pick academics' pockets

Academics are grumbling over Victoria University of Wellington's five-point emissions reduction plan saying its goal will inevitably come from staff members' pockets.

The document included an intention to install solar panels on campus, take out natural gas heating and introduce an internal levy for air travel.

Some of the levy's cash would go toward carbon offsets and the rest to be spent on staffs' carbon reduction initiatives, the plan said.

Sure, it’s snowing. But early snowmobiling in Upstate NY infuriates land owners, hunters

This onset this week of wintry, snowy weather probably has some snowmobilers thinking that they should get out and hit the trails early this year.

Depending on where one lives, the vast majority of trails are officially closed until the day after the big game (deer and bear) hunting seasons finish, said Jim Rolf, trail coordinator for the New York State Snowmobile Association. The seasons vary between the state’s Northern and Southern Zones, but generally this means early to mid-December.

The snowmobiling season ends when the lack of snow makes riding impractical or dangerous and the trails get closed. That’s usually around late March or early April.

The REAL inconvenient truth: Polar bears thriving in spite of climate change, but saying this gets scientists fired

Zoologist and polar bear expert Susan Crockford was shunned by the academy for her insistence that despite the polar bear’s status as a climate change icon, the warming planet had actually caused the species to thrive. She did not deny climate change – merely the idea that it was harming the bears.

After losing her contract as an adjunct professor at Canada’s University of Victoria, where she worked for 15 years, she has been vindicated by a report from northern Canada confirming her theory that polar bears are climate change’s beneficiaries, rather than its victims.

Footage of an emaciated polar bear, captioned “this is what climate change looks like,” yanked at the world’s heartstrings when it was posted on National Geographic in 2017. Eight months later, the publication changed the caption to “this is what starvation looks like,” admitting there was no way to tell why the bear was starving.

Lawsuit Says Obama Entered Paris Climate Agreement Illegally, Cites Mysterious Legal Memo

Former President Barack Obama illegally entered into the Paris climate agreement, a lawsuit filed Monday says, citing a legal memo the Obama administration allegedly used to justify the deal.

The lawsuit asserts that the Obama administration argued the agreement could be signed without Senate approval because it does not set “legally binding targets and timetables.” Such justifications are a misrepresentation of the law, according to the lawsuit.

“This memo demonstrates the Obama administration’s unlawful entry into the Paris treaty,” Chris Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, noted in a press statement attached to the lawsuit. The memo “represents a major political and legal scandal,” he added.

The lawsuit seeks documents related to the memo from the U.S. State Department through a Freedom of Information Act request.

You’ve been lied to: Walrus suicide NOT caused by climate change as Attenborough story quietly revised. What else is a lie?

Renowned nature documentarian David Attenborough probably converted a few climate skeptics with his heartrending footage of walruses, their habitat decimated by climate change, throwing themselves off cliffs in despair in the 2018 Netflix documentary Our Planet.

Unfortunately, the story was untrue. Walruses regularly take to the water as part of their seasonal migration, and some plummet to their doom in their hurry to escape predators like polar bears, which sometimes hunt their prey by triggering a stampede off a precipice.

Some eagle-eyed viewers noted that the placement of Attenborough’s camera crew might have also left his walruses with no choice but to jump off the cliff, since humans were blocking the beach. With polar bears menacing them inland, the walruses could have been caught between the proverbial rock and hard place.

At one time, the elite at least attempted to conceal their boundless enthusiasm for population control from the general public, but now they aren’t even trying to hide it anymore.

On Tuesday, an alarming new study that advocates global population control as one of the solutions to the “climate emergency” that we are facing was published in the journal BioScience. This document has already been signed by 11,258 scientists from 153 different countries, and it openly calls for a reduction in the human population of our planet. This has always been the endgame for the climate change cult, but now a big push is being made to make the public believe that there is a “scientific consensus” that this is necessary.

You can find a summary of the report here, and I would very much encourage you to read it, because it is essentially a blueprint for where the elite intend to take humanity in the years ahead.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Isn't it interesting, how in the minds of "the elite", it is never themselves, or their kids, who should be eliminated, but other people and their kids?!?

We already know that some vaccinations have been "weaponized" as anti fertility agents.

“Mass Sterilization”: Kenyan Doctors Find Anti-fertility Agent in UN Tetanus Vaccine?

The article goes on to state: "Scientists have created the ultimate GM crop: contraceptive corn. Waiving fields of maize may one day save the world from overpopulation.

The pregnancy prevention plants are the handiwork of the San Diego biotechnology company Epicyte, where researchers have discovered a rare class of human antibodies that attack sperm.

The limit of family size, has been public policy in China for quite some time, leading to the murder of unwanted girls, and in many cases, forced births and executions of babies, and the immediate sterilizations of their mothers.

China's brutal one-child policy will be catastrophic for us all.

Forget that the science is wrong; the agenda and conclusions are insane; and we are seeing are the seeds of demographic destruction all around us.

In order to resolve the issues facing humankind, and I am the first person to say, yes, there are real problems. But in order to intelligently resolve them, we have to honor real science, and not accept this "junk science" presented to us in small, pre-digested bits, so that we won't think twice, upon swallowing this codswallop.

After dropping polar bears because their populations are actually booming, loony leftists now claim penguins are gay and being killed by the climate

Now that climate apologists have lost their cherished polar bear mascot, they’re scurrying in favor of another icon that supposedly supports the global warming conspiracy theory: gay penguins.

No, penguins aren’t actually homosexual. And no, penguins aren’t dying because of climate change. But this is what the climate-obsessed left is now claiming as part of their next phase of climate propaganda.

In an episode of the third season of Atypical, a Netflix original “coming-of-age” series, creator Robia Rashid tries to make the case that the Magellan penguins of Argentina are dying off en masse because “increased rainfall” is causing them to freeze to death.

Show character Sam, played by Keir Gilchrist, is reportedly assigned in his scientific drawing class to come up with a project about a political issue, to which he chooses the single largest penguin colony in the world.

11,000 experts propose killing billions of people as final solution to global warming

Over 40 years ago, scientists from 50 nations pivoted on a longstanding “global cooling” thesis that was going to blanket the earth in ice, and instead adopted what was then called the “CO2-climate problem” which would lead to theories on global warming, rising tides and economic catastrophe.

The first-ever scientific population estimate finds Chukchi Sea polar bears have thrived in recent years

The Chukchi Sea between Russia and the United States has long posed a big question mark to polar bear researchers.

The bears there are one of 19 distinct subpopulations found across the circumpolar Arctic, but no one knew just how many bears actually lived in the region. For decades, this lack of knowledge presented a huge challenge to those attempting to forecast the endangered bear’s future.

But after eight years of tracking and tagging, scientists finally have an answer. In a study published Wednesday in Scientific Reports, a Nature journal, researchers from several federal agencies and the University of Washington pinned the population down to an estimated 2,937 bears.

For all intents and purposes, the Chukchi polar bears appear to be doing well.
