The Lights Are Going Out For Free Speech On The Internet

Type the keywords “Internet censorship” into Google News and you will immediately understand to what degree the world wide web is under assault from attempts by governments globally to regulate and stifle free speech. From Australia to Belarus, from Turkey to Vietnam, from Pakistan to Egypt, from Afghanistan to Iran, huge chunks of the Internet are going dark as the Chinese model of Internet regulation is adopted worldwide.

But why should Americans concern themselves with countries halfway across the globe adopting Chinese-style net censorship? Because under Senator Joe Lieberman’s 197-page Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act, the United States would formally mimic China’s “great firewall” of web censorship.

'Paywall will underperform – the numbers don't add up'

The internet guru on the death of newspapers, why paywall will fail and how the internet has brought out our creativity – and generosit

Webmaster's Commentary:

It isn't the paper and it isn't the pay. The reason the corporate media is in decline is that the public knows the corporate media is nothing more than a giant advertisement for government and corporate policy. People do not like to be lied to, and charging them for the privilege only adds insult to injury.

The blog-o-sphere would not even be here if the corporate media had simply told us all the truth about Vince Foster, TWA 800, Iran-Contra, Mena, OK City, Waco, Saddam's "Nookular" bombs, 9-11, etc. etc. etc. None of us out here on the front lines of the information war would have bothered doing what we do if all we did was repeat the facts and truth already on public display. We do this job because the corporate media will not. And on the day when the corporate media tells us all the truth, when the media is not just selling us another war or making excuses when Israel attacks Americans in international waters I will be happy to shut this website down and spend the remainder of my life doing visual effects and chasing Claire around the house.

But until the media decides to be truthful with the people, they will continue to go out of business and I and my partners on truth will continue to get the facts out there the people need to make good decisions.

Apple 'stunned' to find iPhones showtoo many bars

Apple Inc. said Friday that it was "stunned" to find that its iPhones have for years been using a "totally wrong" formula to determine how many bars of signal strength they are getting.

Apple said that's the reason behind widespread complaints from users that the latest model, iPhone 4, can show a sudden plunge in signal strength when they hold it in a way that covers a small black strip on one edge of the phone. Users online have jokingly called this the "death grip" for the phone.

That drop seems exaggerated because the phone can wrongly display four or five bars of signal strength when it shouldn't, Apple said.

"Their big drop in bars is because their high bars were never real in the first place," the company said in a letter to users.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I njoticed this on the 3GS as well. I assumed it was because the phone was flipping back and forth in this over-subscribed area.

The Global Political Awakening and the New World Order

The ‘Technological Revolution’ (or ‘Technetronic’ Revolution, as Brzezinski termed it in 1970) involves two major geopolitical developments. The first is that as technology advances, systems of mass communication rapidly accelerate, and the world’s people are able to engage in instant communication with one another and gain access to information from around the world. In it, lies the potential – and ultimately a central source – of a massive global political awakening. Simultaneously, the Technological Revolution has allowed elites to redirect and control society in ways never before imagined, ultimately culminating in a global scientific dictatorship, as many have warned of since the early decades of the 20th century.

The Internet – like the printing press before it – is not the cause of the transformations in society, but only the vehicle through which free minds can explore alternatives to the inhumane, destructive, inefficient, anti-life implications from which institutions are unable to separate themselves. The question before us is whether life is to belong to the living, or to long-revered systems that insist upon their authority to control and destroy life for organizational interests.

Cybersecurity Measures Will Mandate Government “ID Tokens” To Use The Internet

The move to shut down and regulate the Internet under a new government-controlled system has accelerated into high gear with the announcement that the government’s cybersecurity strategy revolves around issuing Internet users with ID “tokens” without which they will not be able to visit websites, the latest salvo against web freedom which, in combination with Senator Joe Lieberman’s ‘kill switch’ bill, will serve to eviscerate the free Internet as we know it.
Under the guise of “cybersecurity,” the government is moving to discredit and shut down the existing Internet infrastructure in the pursuit of a new, centralized, regulated world wide web.

The Powers-That-Be Are Terrified of the Mass Awakening Taking Place Worldwide

On June 24th Judicial-Inc Was Shut Down Again

90% of Judicial-Inc is merely current news links, and the other 10% is commentary on world events. Judicial's number of 'host-suspensions' may set a record for the most banned website on the internet. So you need to ask - why? Obviously the simple answer is some of the analysis is hitting too close to home. There are probably twenty other websites with the same format, and none of them have been touched.

I have to suspect there will be a major event such as a nuke in an American city, followed by an attack on Iran, and this is followed by an economic implosion.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In the days before 9-11, the FBI went around the United States shutting down all the websites of various Muslim charities and news organizations; the websites most likely to ask questions about why the media was blaming Muslims for the attack when Mossad agents were arrested on that day after being seen clapping and cheering as the towers fell.

Coincident with Joe Lieberman's push for total internet censorship, we are seeing attacks on patriot websites and patriots themselves.

This is consistent with the theory that Israel and the US are preparing a new 9-11 to "sell" the war with Iran, and are trying to take down as many of the patriot sites as they can without attracting attention.

Well, too bad, because we can see what they are trying to do.

Personal Computers Could Be Open to Government Access Under New Obama Copyright Plan

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is not about copyrights. This is about the government having absolute access to all your emails and files at all times without a warrant. Back during the Seattle APEC, FBI agents were caught spying on attendees' laptop computers, not for evidence of a crime, but for industrial secrets which were passed on the favored political cronies. Other agents have been charged with insider trading for taking the information gleaned from computers and cell phones and using it for their own personal gain.

Don't get me wrong; my sympathies are very much with the holders of copyrights and I am opposed to sharing of copyrighted files. But Obama's push for unlimited government access to your computers is all about holding off the inevitable revolution while we are taxed into a Gaza lifestyle of poverty and helplessness for the benefit of Obama's Israeli masters. The fact is that the vast majority of file sharers, if they are unable to share the files will not purchase the content anyway BECAUSE NOBODY HAS THE JOBS TO PAY FOR LUXURY ITEMS LIKE MOVIES AND MUSIC. The decline in entertainment revenues matches the decline in revenues across the society. The blame does not fall on the file sharers but on the government which has mismanaged this economy to the edge of ruin. NOBODY is doing good business right now.

The fact is that shutting down the file sharing will not only not significantly improve the sale of music and videos, but will DECREASE the sale of digital media players!

ACLU: FBI used 'dragnet'-style warrantless cell tracking

To nab a pair of men accused of robbing banks in Connecticut, court documents show the FBI turned to a novel investigative technique last year: warrantless monitoring of the locations of about 180 different cell phones, court documents show.

The FBI obtained a secret order--it has not been made public--commanding nine different telephone companies to provide federal police "with all cell site tracking data and cell site locator information for all incoming and outgoing calls to and from the target numbers."

But because the U.S. Justice Department did not obtain a warrant by proving to a judge that there was probable cause to suspect criminal activity, there's now a risk that the evidence from the location surveillance may be tossed out of court as illegally obtained.

There is a powerful movement to re-direct news in a controlled fashion in the United States. For all practical purposes, it would be a takeover by government of news media reporting using the "nudge" style method of control favored by the Obama Administration.

A recent study conducted by life assistance company CPP has revealed that Britons are targeted with more than 420,000 scam emails every hour.

The study reports that the rise of online baking and credit card frauds have led to £285 being stolen from someone every seven seconds.

CPP informs that out of the 3.7 billion scam emails sent to Britons in the last 12 months, more than half were from perpetrators impersonating a known bank or financial services agency.

New Bill Gives Obama ‘Kill Switch’ To Shut Down The Inte*^%*...[NO CONNECTION]

The federal government would have “absolute power” to shut down the Internet under the terms of a new US Senate bill being pushed by Joe Lieberman, legislation which would hand President Obama a figurative “kill switch” to seize control of the world wide web in response to a Homeland Security directive.

Lieberman has been pushing for government regulation of the Internet for years under the guise of cybersecurity, but this new bill goes even further in handing emergency powers over to the feds which could be used to silence free speech under the pretext of a national emergency.

Fox in the henhouse: can we trust Israeli security companies? Did Israel give us the disease to sell us the cure?

Gordon Duff argues that recent evidence proving that Israel fabricated video scenes from the Freedom Flotilla attack should serve as a wake-up call to alert the world to the activities of Israeli agents worldwide – many of whom work in companies contracted to “guard” international airports – and the real possibility that they could use their positions to stage the next “terrorist” attack.

WickedLasers Unveils "Lightsaber" Powerful Enough to Set People on Fire

The laser is built with a diode from Casio's new mercury-free Green Slim projectors which ironically have a somewhat blue tint. The laser is rated at 1 watt of power and retails for a mere $200 USD.

And here's the best (or worst) part -- it can set people (or things) on fire. Apparently the laser is so high powered that shining it on fleshy parts will cause them to burst into flames. Of course it's equally capable of blinding people. The retailer warns:

Pentagon Manhunt

Manning has reportedly admitted that he downloaded 260,000 diplomatic cables and provided them to Wikileaks. In Internet chat logs first revealed by Wired magazine, Manning also took credit for leaking the 2007 video to the website.

“Hillary Clinton and several thousand diplomats around the world are going to have a heart attack when they wake up one morning and find an entire repository of classified foreign policy is available,” Manning wrote of the diplomatic cables, according to Wired.

Wikileaks has not confirmed that Manning is a source of any information posted on the site. “We do not know if Mr. Manning is our source, but the U.S. military is claiming he is, so we will defend him,” Wikileaks said in another Twitter message.

Obama is already toughest president on leaks

In 17 months in office, President Obama has already outdone every previous president in pursuing leak prosecutions. His administration has taken actions that might have provoked sharp political criticism for his predecessor, George W. Bush, who was often in public fights with the press.

US ‘desperately’ trying to keep Wikileaks from publishing US communications about Arab states

Philip Shenon, a former New York Times reporter now writing for Tina Brown's The Daily Beast, alleged late Thursday that the Pentagon is "desperately" searching for the founder of the whistleblower website Wikileaks, out of concern he is about to publish classified US State Department cables.

Curiously, the piece cites an American diplomat as saying their chief concern is the leak of communications "prepared by diplomats and State Department officials throughout the Middle East, regarding the workings of Arab governments and their leaders."

Webmaster's Commentary:

The rumor is that these cables further document that Israel is controlling the US Government and its war machine.

Apple's Iphone 4 will trounce its Ipad

Apple's fourth Iphone is technically the most impressive mobile device it has launched. It won't have the same impact as the second generation unit that brought with it the App Store, but it will help Apple in its losing fight with Android. The problem for Jobs is that it has also shown up the Ipad for the device that it really is, an oversized Iphone without a phone.

Ex-teacher learns the hard way: Watch what you put online

"One thing I told my students is not to gloat, not to strike a hostile tone in their speeches," she wrote on prettyfreaky.blogspot.com. "Then, of course, I heard a speech that did both of those things."

Collins added that she felt "annoyance" because she disagreed with the politics of the speech and "dismay" that her message about the right tone was not getting through.

(Though she never said so on her blog, in an interview Collins said that the student had given a speech about "Obama's lies." She provided The Inquirer with copies of documents from the school and the family about the events leading to her firing, and her responses.)

Webmaster's Commentary:

A clear example of schools abandoning education to focus on political indoctrination. If the US Government intends to send these kids out to die for the Bill of Rights, the very least the teachers should do is teach the kids to use those rights! Coming down on the student publicly because she disagreed with the political content was completely over the line.

IS TWITTER BEING JAMMED?

Webmaster's Commentary:

All this last week Israel's "Megaphones" have fought a battle on Twitter for world opinion regarding the attack on the aid flotilla and the subsequent collapse of the blockade at the Egyptian border; a battle Israel's shills have been losing. Then today, twitter is suddenly unavailable, being jammed with far too many tweets to function either through twitter.com or through the API. Maybe it is just a coincidence, but I do not view networking that goes down when it is most convenient for the tyrants of this world as a matter of luck. Israel has the highest per-capita concentration of hackers in the world, and this downtime for twitter is certainly very convenient for them.

I wonder how long it will be before the "problem" is fixed.

UPDATE: The web interface to twitter is starting to work sporadically, but the API is still reporting it is overloaded and unavailable.

UPDATE 2: Twitter starting to work, although many functions disabled.

"WEB OF TRUST" HIJACKED BY ISRAELI PROPAGANDISTS!

Webmaster's Commentary:

I used to use "Web of Trust" with Firefox to steer clear of crooked websites, but lately the system has been hijacked by the "Megaphonies" who flood the rating system with negative ratings for any websites that question Israel's policies and actions. This page is a good example. This is the online version of the article, "The 13th Tribe" which details the Khazar heritage of the Ashkenazi. Because the fact that the Ashkenazi are the descendants of people who converted to Judaism in 800AD and NOT the direct descendants of the biblical Hebrews contradicts official Israeli claims to "own" Palestine, the megaphones have gone out and used WOT to smear any sites that discuss the matter.

But the proof is right before your eyes. The Ashkenazi have pale Caucasian skin, proof that they are not actually Semitic.

So, I will no longer use Web of Trust and suggest that everyone uninstall it immediately.

Zero-day exploit for Adobe Reader, Flash now in the wild

Adobe has announced that an exploitable flaw in Adobe Reader 9.x, Acrobat 9.x, and Flash 9.x and 10.x has been discovered and is being actively exploited. Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux versions are all affected. The flaw allows arbitrary code execution by attackers, and hence it is deemed "critical."

Adobe presently has no fix available. Adobe Reader 8.x is unaffected, as is the Flash 10.1 beta; downgrading Reader and upgrading Flash therefore provides protection against the flaw.

Every Google search to be logged and saved for two years under new Euro MP plan

Every Google web search could be stored for up to two years under a controversial new EU plan that has the backing of more than 300 Euro-MEPs.

'Written Declaration 29' is intended to be used as an early warning system to stop paedophiles by logging what they look for using search engines.

But civil liberty groups have hit out at the proposal which they say is a 'completely unjustifiable' intrusion into citizens' privacy.

And they claim that there is no evidence that it would even be effective in trapping paedophiles who would never use search engines like Google to look for child pornography.
