Anger and Fear: How they Keep You Voting

Political strategists know if they push your buttons, they can get you to keep mindlessly, pointlessly voting… even though it won’t change a damn thing. Political strategists (and the people running the show) know it works even though, deep down, most voters in this country have long ago realized somewhere inside that voting, at least in the federal elections, has all of about zero effect on actually changing anything and is basically a meaningless gesture that simply solidifies one’s willing participation in a slave system.

BBC ‘Failing to Remain Impartial’ on EU Referendum, Says Pro-Brexit MP

The BBC has been accused of pro-European Union (EU) bias just one week into the referendum campaign.

In a letter to the Corporation’s Director for News James Harding, Conservative MP Andrew Bridgen said that certain major current affairs programmes were not giving the “leave” side a fair hearing and pro-EU guests were given greater prominence.

Human Rights Advocate Dr. David Duke Says He’ll Vote Trump

Obama Supports Ex-Klan Leader Byrd to Lead U.S. Senate -Silence – Duke Says He’ll Vote Trump – Media HateFEST!
Over 500 major media articles came out today attacking me (*Duke). Other than the Jewish ultra-Zionist NY Daily News , not one media called me to interview me on why I believe European Americans are overwhelmingly supporting Donald Trump. Most of them just quote the rabid Zionist NY Daily News (Jews).

The Zio media blasts Trump because I have supported him.

No candidate can control what people say about him.

But any person can control whom they endorse and support.

So if Trump is blasted because I have supported, (but not endorsed} because I have a long-ago non-violent Klan history — by that criterion Obama should be far more condemned by the media for the fact the OBAMA had no problem with a “former Klan Leader Robert Byrd” being his Democratic LEADER in the Senate.

Obama: Mass shootings should dominate the news

President Obama implored the media to pay more attention to mass shootings Friday, saying "the real tragedy is the degree to which this has become routine."

Obama's remarks at a Florida battery factory were his first public remarks since a a shooter opened fire in a lawn mower parts factory in Hesston, Kansas Thursday, killing three people and leaving 14 wounded.

"I hope all of you pay attention to this. I hope the media pays attention to this. Once a week we have these shootings, and it doesn't dominate the news. And that's got to change," Obama said Friday at an event in Jacksonville, Fla. intended to highlight the success of his 2009 economic stimulus plan.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I bet Obama wants saturation on this issue, to avoid a rapidly imploding economy, and a potential military stand-off with Russia over Syria which could get ugly in a heartbeat!!

Trump Right, Stupid to Release Taxes During Audit

Donald Trump is Right, It Would Be Very Stupid to Release His Taxes During an Audit
<<< For the last 24 hours, pundits have been criticizing Trump for this. They point to a statement by the IRS which said “nothing prevents individuals from sharing their own tax information” during an audit. That’s true. However, Trump would be very, very stupid to release them, at least according to nearly all (except one) of the high profile tax attorneys and accountants around the country we contacted for this story. I posed two questions to them: 1) Like Trump, would you also advise your client NOT to release their returns until the audit was over? 2) Do Trump’s statements above seem like a plausible explanation to you?

Here are their responses:

Who will watch for BBC bias in the EU referendum campaign?

It is wearisome work, but I hope the ‘leave’ campaign is carefully monitoring the BBC’s coverage of the referendum. On Monday, the first full weekday since Mr Cameron’s ‘legally binding’ deal, I listened to the Today programme for more than two hours. I heard six speakers for ‘remain’ and two (John Mills and Nigel Lawson) for ‘leave’.

In this I am not including any of the BBC interviewers themselves, though my hunch, based solely on the way they ask questions, is that all of them, with the possible exception of John Humphrys, are for ‘remain’. The guests explicitly in favour of ‘remain’ were Carolyn Fairbairn, Sir Mike Rake, Stanley Johnson and Michael Fallon. Jonathan Portes, who is always presented by the BBC as a neutral expert, was actually pushing the EU cause.

Inside the Republican Party’s Desperate Mission to Stop Donald Trump

The scenario Karl Rove outlined was bleak.

Addressing a luncheon of Republican governors and donors in Washington on Feb. 19, he warned that Donald J. Trump’s increasingly likely nomination would be catastrophic, dooming the party in November. But Mr. Rove, the master strategist of George W. Bush’s campaigns, insisted it was not too late for them to stop Mr. Trump, according to three people present.

At a meeting of Republican governors the next morning, Paul R. LePage of Maine called for action. Seated at a long boardroom table at the Willard Hotel, he erupted in frustration over the state of the 2016 race, saying Mr. Trump’s nomination would deeply wound the Republican Party. Mr. LePage urged the governors to draft an open letter “to the people,” disavowing Mr. Trump and his divisive brand of politics.

Trump wants to 'open up' libel laws so he can sue press

Donald Trump said Friday that if elected president he will change the nation's libel laws in order to make it easier to sue news organizations.

"One of the things I'm going to do if I win... I'm going to open up our libel laws so when they write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money," Trump said during a rally in Fort Worth, Texas.

"We're going to open up those libel laws so when The New York Times writes a hit piece, which is a total disgrace, or when the Washington Post, which is there for other reasons, writes a hit piece, we can sue them and win money instead of having no chance of winning because they're totally protected," he said. "We're going to open up libel laws and we're going to have people sue you like you've never got sued before."

Those remarks immediately drew criticism from journalists

‘Path to 9/11’ Director Reveals How Clintons Had Film Banned in U.S.

In an explosive new interview, award-winning filmmaker Cyrus Nowrasteh (The Stoning of Soraya M., The Young Messiah) detailed how Bill and Hillary Clinton allegedly used their influence at Disney/ABC to effectively ban the 2006 miniseries The Path to 9/11, which examined the events leading up to the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in 2001.

As Breitbart’s John Nolte reported last year, the four-hour miniseries from the acclaimed Iranian-American writer-director presents an unflinching dramatization of the events leading up to 9/11, including an examination of then-President Bill Clinton’s failure to capture and kill its chief architect, Osama bin Laden. ABC reportedly spent $40 million to produce the miniseries, but shelved it indefinitely under alleged pressure from the Clintons.

Barack Obama recently stated that anyone that is claiming that America’s economy is in decline is “peddling fiction“.

Well, if the economy is in such great shape, why are major retailers shutting down hundreds of stores all over the country? Last month, I wrote about the “retail apocalypse” that is sweeping the nation, but since then it has gotten even worse. Closing stores has become the “hot new trend” in the retail world, and “space available” signs are going up in mall windows all over the United States. Barack Obama can continue huffing and puffing about how well the middle class is doing all he wants, but the truth is that the cold, hard numbers that retailers are reporting tell an entirely different story.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US economy is flailing, and rapidly going from bad to worse; no wonder those in the bowels of power in Foggy Bottom are so damned eager to start a world war, in an attempt to distract a very angry American public from the real reasons for their intense financial distress!!

TV Pundits Praise Hillary Clinton On Air, Fail to Disclose Financial Ties to Her Campaign

Tune into television coverage of the presidential campaign and undoubtedly you will hear from various pundits described as “former campaign strategists” and “political contributors” explaining the latest developments of the race. But in many cases, these pundits — though introduced as neutral experts on campaigns or party politics — in fact have financial ties to the candidates they praise on the air.

Several consultants who work at firms retained by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and her affiliated Super PACs appear regularly on the major television networks, frequently touting Clinton.

A review of pundits on the major networks and cable news also found one prominent pundit who often praised Jeb Bush, without the network revealing her relationship with his campaign.

The story of Louise: why the police have no case to answer, but I do

At 6pm on Monday I had a heart-sinking conversation with Louise, the woman who was the subject of my column that day.

In my third conversation with her that afternoon, as I was saying that she needed to talk to the police about the gang rape she alleged took place in 2002, she told me I was "oppressing" her.

Then she said: "I don't want to continue this conversation," and hung up.

She has remained incommunicado ever since.

This led quickly to three realisations. First, I was countenancing the near certainty that in the areas of her story where I had given her the benefit of the doubt, I had been wrong to do so.

Second, I had not considered the possibility that her story had been carefully constructed on a foundation of embellishments, false memories and fabrications.

Do Americans Live In A False Reality Created By Orchestrated Events? — Paul Craig Roberts

Most people who are aware and capable of thought have given up on what is called the “mainstream media.” The presstitutes have destroyed their credibility by helping Washington to lie—“Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction,” “Iranian nukes,” “Assad’s use of chemical weapons,” “Russian invasion of Ukraine,” and so forth. The “mainstream media” has also destroyed its credibility by its complete acceptance of whatever government authorities say about alleged “terrorist events,” such as 9/11 and Boston Marathon Bombing, or alleged mass shootings such as Sandy Hook and San Bernardino. Despite glaring inconsistencies, contradictions, and security failures that seem too unlikely to be believable, the “mainstream media” never asks questions or investigates. It merely reports as fact whatever authorities say.

Donald Trump: U.S. Should Have Left Qaddafi In Power

Donald Trump has said the world would be a better place if Saddam Hussein and Muammar el-Qaddafi were still in power.

In a furious anti-war tirade during Thursday night’s Republican presidential debate, Trump said: “We would be so much better off if Qaddafi were in charge right now,” adding, “If these politicians went to the beach and didn’t do a thing and we had Saddam Hussein and if we had Qaddafi in charge instead of having terrorism all over the place—at least they killed terrorists.”

“And I’m not saying they were good, because they were bad, they were really bad. But we don’t know what we’re getting. Look at Libya right now. ISIS as we speak is taking over their oil. It’s a total mess,” Trump added. “We would have been better off if the politicians took a day off instead of going to war.”

Presidential Elections 2016: The Revolt of the Masses

Commentators grossly oversimplify when they reduce the revolt to incoherent expressions of ‘anger’.

The presidential elections of 2016 have several unique characteristics that defy common wisdom about political practices in 21st century America.

Clearly the established political machinery – party elites and their corporate backers -have (in part) lost control of the nomination process and confront ‘unwanted’ candidates who are campaigning with programs and pronouncements that polarize the electorate.

But there are other more specific factors, which have energized the electorate and speak to recent US history. These portend and reflect a realignment of US politics.

In this essay, we will outline these changes and their larger consequences for the future of American politics.

We will examine how these factors affect each of the two major parties.

Tim Cook: If The FBI Gets What It Wants, It Will Threaten Public Safety

Apple chief Tim Cook on Wednesday said that complying with a court order to help the FBI break into an iPhone belonging to one of the San Bernardino shooters would be "bad for America," and set a legal precedent that would offend many Americans.

"Some things are hard, and some things are right, and some things are both - this is one of those things," Cook told ABC News in his first interview since the court order came down last week. He added that the government was asking for "the software equivalent of cancer" and that he planned to talk to President Barack Obama directly about getting the dispute "on a better path."

Later asked whether Apple would be prepared to fight this case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, Cook said, “We would be prepared to take this issue all the way.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

A Rubio-Cruz ticket may be the only way to stop Donald Trump

Marco Rubio is now the only plausible alternative to Trump. But it's doubtful he's taken either of the above lessons to heart. According to his campaign's post-South Carolina strategy memo, he thinks he can wait until after Super Tuesday to post a win in any state. And he assumes first-place finishes will ultimately come his way because the field will clear. Will it? Jeb Bush is finally out, but Ben Carson seems to be running one of the most ingeniously disguised book tours in modern memory; John Kasich is hunting windmills in Ohio and Michigan; and Cruz, having tasted victory in Iowa, is unlikely to give up anytime soon.

Rubio's strategy is not crazy, just implausible. Luckily, there's another option. Republican disarray is largely attributable to the fact that no “establishment candidate” has secured much support from the conservative grass-roots and no grass-roots candidate has secured much support from the establishment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is amazing how uneducated paid writers can be!

Now then, the Constitution requires that the President must be a "Natural Born" US citizen. "Natural Born", as defined in the time the Constitution was written, means born inside the country. Ted Cruz was born in Canada. His parents were both Canadian citizens at the time and Canada did not legally recognize dual-citizenship back then. Cruz's mother had to renounce her US citizenship.

There are now six lawsuits against Cruz on this issue.

Here is the kicker. The Twelfth Amendment to the Constitution requires the Vice President to also meet the Constitutional requirements to be President, in case of succession. So, Ted Cruz cannot be the Vice President, either!

Presstitutes At Work: “Dangerous Lies Pumped Out by the US Media”. This is “Democratic” America…

This morning I was stuck in front of a Fox “News” broadcast for a short period and then with a NPR news program. The New York Times, Washington Post, and a couple of think-tank types were represented on NPR. They delivered the most crude propaganda imaginable and questioned no US government statement.

Did you know that all the trouble in Syria is due to the Russians and Assad?

The US has no blame whatsoever. Donald Trump is about to do terrible things to Marco Rubio

As bullies go, Donald Trump is unusually skilled.

When Trump decides to go after you, he considers carefully both your weak points and the audience for his attack. So when he decided to pummel Jeb Bush —
Until now, Trump has been relatively soft on Rubio. But with the increasing possibility that Rubio could be the greatest threat to Trump winning the nomination, he's almost certain to go after him. If the past is any guide, Trump will throw a bunch of different attacks Rubio's way until he happens upon one that seems to resonate; then he'll stick with it as long as it works. Trump is already dabbling in Rubio birtherism (though he doesn't seem quite committed to it), but eventually he'll find a line of personal criticism with just the right note of cruelty and derision.

A Panicked China Orders Media To Stick To "Positive Reporting" Or Risk "The Stability Of The Country"

If China's recent record surge in loan creation, and its revision of a key PBOC capital outflow "data" wasn't sufficient proof that the world's second largest economy is on the verge of panic, then the explicit propaganda directive issued to the the local press by China's president Xi Jinping late on Friday should certainly seal it.

As SCMP reports, according to a commentary published by a leading mouthpiece online "having public opinions that are different from the official ones will shake the foundation of the rule of the Communist party and the country."

Xiakedao, a social media account operated by the overseas edition of People’s Daily, said in a commentary on Friday’s high-profile tour by President Xi Jinping to the three largest state media outlets – People’s Daily, Xinhua and Central China Television — "that the party was alarmed by how different public opinion is from official media."

5 Disturbing Reasons Not to Trust the News (From a Reporter)

Growing up, I remember wondering why major catastrophes were relegated to just inches of column space somewhere in the middle of the newspaper, while knocked-up celebrities farting into a maternity gown would crack the front pages. Then I started working as the editor of a U.K. tech news site at the dawn of citizen reporting, social media, and the Web, and I realized that the gulf between the newsworthy and the filler has been widened on an enormous scale. Here are just some of the reasons journalism has gone (and continues to go) to shit:

'The Daily Beast' Repeatedly Contacts Me For An Interview About Trump & 9/11, (Israelis) Then Conveniently Declines To Publish It - So I'll Post It Myself.

The Daily Beast, formerly part of Newsweek, contacted me several times last week requesting an interview regarding my confrontation with Donald Trump (when I asked him about the five Dancing Israelis arrested in New Jersey on 9/11/2001.) They also asked if I was Trump supporter and what I made of his recent comments on 9/11. After contacting me four separate times over two days, and getting my replies about 9/11 and Israel's involvement, The Daily Beast conveniently and mysteriously opted not to publish the interview, so I will post it myself. (Gee, I wonder why on earth they'd want to omit such info from the public sphere? I guess documented facts about all the Israelis arrested on 9/11 doesn't fit in well with their "tin foil hat 9/11 conspiracy" meme.)

Over and over again as people keep talking about the Apple / FBI encryption stuff, I keep seeing the same line pop up. It's something along the lines of "but the FBI needs to know what's on that phone, so if Apple can help, why shouldn't it." Let's debunk that myth. The FBI absolutely does not need to know what's on that phone. It might not even care very much about what's on that phone. As the Grugq ably explained last week, there's almost certainly nothing of interest on the phone. As he notes, Farook destroyed his and his wife's personal phones, indicating that if there were anything truly important, he would have destroyed the last phone too

Torture Is a Crime

The subject of U.S. policies on torture is back in the news again. With far too much frequency, I've been seeing media reports of public figures calling for a return to so-called "enhanced interrogation techniques" or, even worse, using dangerous and ill-informed rhetoric in support of reviving these illegal and immoral tactics.

In my more than 30 years of human rights and humanitarian work, most recently with the Center for Victims of Torture (CVT), I've witnessed too often the near destruction of both the human body and the human spirit as a result of torture, as well as the corrosive effects it has on societies and institutions that permit it. And although appropriate rehabilitative care can help to heal the person, I long for the day when organizations such as CVT are put out of business because torture has been wiped off the face of the Earth.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When the US government tortures, or outsources torture, it tells the world that it doesn't care about human rights, democracy, or the rule of law.

And when the US government tortures, or outsources torture, it gives rulers in other countries carte blanche to do the same to American civilians or military personnel.

The Empire Doesn’t Retreat or Compromise

Reading mainstream media news, analyses, and opinion pieces about this war is completely useless, as everything is either uninformed and clueless gibberish or propaganda and deception.

I wrote this text over several days and every time I sat down again to continue there came another headline to my mind. The first headline was “Nobody said, that it will be easy,” the second “Waiting for the Turkey-Russia showdown,” the third “Playing the terrorism game,” the fourth “Everything is better than war.”

In the end I settled for the header “The empire doesn’t retreat or compromise.”

This statement stands the test of time, it has been proven throughout human history, and there is only one single exemption, only one short period where retreat and compromise are a possibility. This short period is the time when the empire is in terminal decline and in the process of collapsing.

Corbyn wins 18 elections by a landslide, the media’s silence is deafening

Jeremy Corbyn was given a decisive mandate from Labour’s youth wing in party elections on Thursday. On regional boards and Young Labour’s national committee, 18 seats were up for grabs and Corbyn supporters won every one.

This is a sweeping success for the Labour leader, and for Momentum – the grassroots organisation set up following Corbyn’s leadership win. It could be a sign of things to come at next weeks annual conference for the party’s youth wing, where pivotal roles, of the chair and National Executive Committee representative, will be decided.

But this landslide victory has barely been reported in the media. Highly influential institutions like the BBC consider non-events, such as Russian planes flying close to UK airspace, worthy of top story attention. But when it comes to developments that could have a huge impact on our democracy, such as who people want to lead the country, they simply pass on by.

Billionaire-Owned Observer Whines About Democratization of Media in 2016’s Worst Op-ed

Second only to glib equivalencies between Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders, 2016’s most popular lazy media trope is the idea that rabid Sanders fans have unleashed dark populist forces that threaten our republic. Both are fairly common, and more or less write themselves if the author tosses coherence and intellectual honesty out the window. But it’s rare that both are on such stark display as with New York Observer‘s editor-at-large Ryan Holiday’s recent op-ed (2/17/16).

Don't live in Flint? Lead is still your problem

The crisis in Flint, Mich., has focused attention on lead-tainted water flowing through taps in the U.S. as well as lead paint exposures that continue to plague cities such as Baltimore and Philadelphia. While there’s skepticism surrounding recent claims that lead poisoning rates are higher in Philadelphia than in Flint, there’s no disputing that there’s a serious problem in both cities and many others.

The term “poisoning” is the source of some confusion. Since Flint switched to a more corrosive source of water in 2014, bringing lead from pipes into the drinking supply, some residents have reported rashes, hair loss, fatigue and other classic symptoms of lead poisoning. But scientists now believe that exposures too low to cause people to feel sick can do serious and possibly permanent neurological damage, especially in children.

Donald Trump defends 2002 interview on Iraq war

"When I did the interview with Howard that was many, many months before the war started," Trump said. And, he added, his response had been "a very weak" one.

"That was the first person that ever asked me about the war," he continued. "I'm a businessperson so they're not asking me about the war. Then shortly after that I started saying -- I started really studying and looking at it -- I didn't like it because you're going to ruin the balance of the Middle East. Which is what happened."

"That was a long time before the war started. By the time the war started, I was totally against it and by 2003, you see my statements," Trump said. "I was against it. So look, the Iraq war, going into Iraq was one of the worst decisions in the history of this country. We're further behind now than the day we went in."

The Republican contender also attacked a prominent member of his party, GOP strategist Karl Rove, over the war. > > >

Why Do Western ‘News’ Media Ignore Many Important News-Events?

On 12 February 2016, the much-maligned-in-the-West Mr. Bashar al-Assad, President of Syria, was interviewed by Agence France Presse — a reportorial coup, of which AFP were justifiably proud, because their 26 numbered questions to him (and the follow-ups) were substantive and were focused on providing to the publics in Western nations the perspective by Assad (which one might thus characterize as his “defense” case), against the virtually uniform chorus of condemnation of Assad by Western governments, which governments demand his overthrow and support the tens of thousands of foreign jihadists who have been flocking into Syria to provide the “boots on the ground” to achieve such an overthrow, of him — overthrow of the President of the sovereign nation of Syria — overthrow of him by these foreign fighters. (It’s an invasion of Syria, but the Western press don’t report its being that.)

“Allahu Akbar!”: Machete Attack on Ohio Restaurant Was a Downplayed Muslim Terrorist Attack

The system is forcing mass immigration and silencing anti-refugee sentiments. This event doesn’t fit into the pro-asylum narrative of peaceful refugees or the gun control narrative, considering the man’s weapon of choice was a machete and a legal gun owner could’ve stopped him in a moment. Because it would only make Obama’s immigration policies and gun control look bad, the media buried this story and shaped the narrative to make the story fit the agenda instead of reality.

U.S. enlists new recruit in fight against ISIS: Hollywood

Kerry said he called the meeting to discuss ideas about how to counter what he calls the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) "narrative," reports CBS News correspondent Ben Tracy. But some are concerned he might be recruiting studio executives to help produce anti-ISIS propaganda.

A video that has all the hallmarks of a Hollywood movie trailer is actually a pro-ISIS propaganda piece produced by the radical Islamic terror group. Now the U.S. government is asking Hollywood for advice on how to counter that message.

"This is not just a military battle. It's a battle of ideas, an it's a battle of ideas between competing narratives," said top Kerry aide Richard Stengel.

Stengel was in Tuesday's closed-door meeting with almost a dozen film studio executives when the secretary of state made his pitch.

"Hollywood is one of the greatest competitive advantages we have as a country. It's revered all around the planet. It's our second largest export," Stengel said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, now, Hollywood is...."..revered..."?!?!?

Somehow, I wouldn't go that far.

And the enlisting of Hollywood as a propaganda tool is anything but new; remember Roosevelt's "fireside chats", and the newsreels movie-goers saw during World War II?!?

But Kerry is being disingenuous in the extreme here.

The plain, hard truth is that the US government trained, equipped, and funded these folks as a way to destabilize those countries whose leadership was not to our liking, like Syria; but it became a Frankenstein's monster, which the US government now says has to be "neutralised".

At the end of World War II, when it came to Japan, there was a Marshall Plan, to get the shattered Japanese economy back on its feet; there were the Deming lectures, which transformed Japanese manufacturing from a joke to the marvel of the 20th century.

We have left Iraq, which under Saddam Hussein, had one of the highest standards of living in the Middle East, completely destroyed and dysfunctional. The people are sick because of the chemicals released by the burn pits, and the use of depleted uranium weapons have caused massive tumors and birth defects. The de-Baathification of Iraq caused terrible civil unrest, even to the point of a still-smoldering religious war between Sunnis and Shiites. And the political infrastructure's largesse?!? For sale to the highest bidder.

Libya, which under Gaddafi, had one of the highest standards of living in Africa, is under a very similar situation. After Gaddafi's assassination by NATO and US forces, in October of 2012. A state of civil war now exists, and ISIS/ISIL is firmly ensconced. The poverty is grinding, and the standard of living, for the Libyan people, has fallen off a cliff.

These pre-emptive wars have cost much blood and money; but that doesn't seem to matter to those who wanted the oil in Iraq, or Libya's natural resources. All that mattered, Mr. Vice President, was that the oil would be sold in US dollars only, and controlled by US oil interests.

So if the US is going to have an honest narrative to counter that of Daesh, this country's film makers themselves have to be honest; we blew it, in honor of the money junkies in this country, in both Libya, and in Iraq, and are doing the same blasted thing with Afghanistan, where it appears that US and NATO forces will never leave.

But it has to be more than a mea culpa here; and there is where the difficulty for this country begins, in terms of countering Daesh's narrative.

The US government wanted to break Iraq apart, and balkanize it, so that it could never, again, be an alleged "existential threat" to Israel. The US wants to be in control of both the pipelines, and the currency in which that oil is sold. The same is true for Libya, and its oil, and oil fields. Plus, in Afghanistan, it was about the leasing of the pipeline routes.

So, ultimately, the serial difficulty with countering Daesh's narrative here, is that these US military misadventures were never about lifting up, or truly "liberating" the people of those countries we invaded; to give them transparent governments, jump-start their economies after the invasions, and give them a higher standard of living. These were all done, ultimately, to enhance the private, corporate profit of US companies.

The late John F. Kennedy said it best: "When peaceful revolution is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable." And Mr. Vice-President, that holds just as true today as the day President Kennedy said that, and THAT, sir, is your problem.

Feb 19 11:14

According to Courthouse News (CN) article, DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson warned law enforcement of a new breed of terrorism that sees people "self-radicalize."

"As I have said many times, we are in a new phase of the global terrorist threat, requiring a whole new type of response," Johnson said. "We have moved from a world of terrorist-directed attacks to a world that includes the threat of terrorist-inspired attacks."

DHS propaganda is so unbelievable, they even have a guide book called "Terminology To Define Terrorists" which instructs them on how to use appropriate terminology when describing the latest terrorist threat.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A short memo to Homeland Security Secretary Johnson; sir, the fastest way to get terror, or even the threat of terror here at home, and against American interests abroad to stop - completely - is for this country to stop expropriating natural resources from other countries to which we have absolutely no moral right.

Stop the US government's military from killing people who have the gall to live over natural resources the US government (and corporations) covet.

It is just quite that simple, sir, and you will see anti-American "terror" just stop.

People around the world do not "hate us because of our freedoms"; they hate us because US military resources are mowing down their kids, moms, grandpas, and aunties in the relentless pursuit of those resources.

And if it is not US troops actually doing the shooting, maiming, and killing, it is another country's proxy army, as in the case with Saudi Arabia's horrific attack against Yemen, because the Yemenite people had the gall to throw out their puppet government. The Saudis are shelling schools, hospitals, and private homes (all of which are war crimes, as you are, no doubt, aware) and using US-supplied cluster munitions, the use of which has been banned by civilized countries.

As a Christian pacifist, who never advocates violence, I find the violence which the US government has inflicted upon way too many countries and individuals appalling, particularly in light of the truth that this is ultimately done in the name of private corporate profit. Therefore, I respectfully urge you, the President, Congress, the State Department, and the Pentagon, to rethink where this country is spending its money on wars, and why, and what alternative means could be used to accomplish the US's geopolitical agenda.

When Soldiers Come Home

snip: It is symptomatic of how our thinking has produced the destructive nature of our social systems that suicide has become the third-leading cause of death in the world. Perhaps Thomas Mann understood the deeper connections of how our thinking produces the adverse consequences of how we live. “War,” he observed, “is only a cowardly escape from the problems of peace.” But war is sufficiently destructive of the nature of life that soldiers experience its evil force as a deadly infection of their souls. If, as I believe, each of us has a need for spiritual transcendence; of a need to connect up with the rest of the universe, how can those whose soul has been so contaminated hope to restore it to health?

BEX ALERT - Donald Trump’s Scalia-Conspiracy Pillow Fight

According to the Washington Post, she spoke to the law-enforcement people on the scene, who said that nothing looked suspicious, and to Scalia’s personal physician, who apparently told her that there were all sorts of medical reasons for Scalia, who was seventy-nine, to die suddenly. And so she certified his death by phone.

Under Texas law, that was sufficient...

Webmaster's Commentary:

Actually, Amy Davidson is wrong.

Art. 49.01. DEFINITIONS.

(2) "Inquest" means an investigation into the cause and circumstances
of the death of a person

(a) A justice of the peace shall conduct an inquest into the death of a person who dies in the county served by the justice if:
(6) the person dies without having been attended by a physician;

You can read the law for yourself. A Justice of the Peace cannot waive an autopsy under the circumstances Scalia died under, as there was no physician in attendance.

One more point; Cinderela Guevara was not Justice of the Peace for the county Scalia died in. She was in fact the third Justice of the Peace called, as the Justice of the Peace for that country was supposedly unavailable for work related reasons (or so we are told). There are reports coming out that the Justice of the Peace who should have been called was also the County coroner and would have wanted to view the body. We are also hearing reports that Scalia's body, instead of being flown out of the resort airport or delivered to a local mortuary, was driven to another city five hours away, during which time the body would, of course, be unavailable should any officials wish an inspection!

The 14 percent increase came after three years of declines in extremist groups. Mark Potok, the author of the report, portrayed the shift as a product of white Americans’ heightened fears over their shrinking majority during a presidential election.

The Deafness Before the Storm (*Bush Didn't Read The Report)

IT was perhaps the most famous presidential briefing in history.

On Aug. 6, 2001, President George W. Bush received a classified review of the threats posed by Osama bin Laden and his terrorist network, Al Qaeda. That morning’s “presidential daily brief” — the top-secret document prepared by America’s intelligence agencies — featured the now-infamous heading: “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.” A few weeks later, on 9/11, Al Qaeda accomplished that goal.

(*CURRENT: Cheney Campaigning For Jeb
The former vice president then dismissed several of Trump’s specific notions. He insisted the Bush administration did not lie about believing Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and scoffed at the idea the president failed to act before 9/11. The White House had “no actionable intelligence” at that point to suggest there was a serious threat, he said, adding that, following the attack, Bush put in place surveillance programs that provided important national security information. )

Markets Ignore Fundamentals And Chase Headlines Because They Are Dying
