A federal judge in Florida on Wednesday ordered the public release of dozens of documents kept under seal during BuzzFeed’s lawsuit over the Steele dossier.

District Court Judge Ursula Ungaro ordered the documents be made public by Feb. 8. More than 40 records used in the case are listed in the order.

Ungaro’s decision will shed light into the discovery process during the defamation case, which included depositions with dossier author Christopher Steele and the founders of Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm that hired Steele.

Ungaro ruled in BuzzFeed’s favor Dec. 19, 2018. The website was sued in February 2017 by Aleksej Gubarev, a Russian tech executive accused in the dossier of using his web hosting companies to hack into the Democratic National Committee’s computer systems.

NewsGuard and Microsoft Team Up To Destroy Independent Media Ahead Of 2020 Elections; Linked To Several Think Tanks, Government Officials

By Aaron Kesel

The service NewsGuard, an establishment attempt to silence alternative media and independent media sites, has teamed up with Microsoft to help its effort to destroy free press. Meanwhile, the mysterious firm connected to intelligence agencies and former government officials on their advisory board has also just been linked to Saudi Arabia through Publicis Groupe, an investor in NewsGuard.

NewsGuard is now automatically included in Microsoft's Edge browser on iOS, Android and Microsoft phones. Microsoft’s press release regarding the partnership states that NewsGuard “will empower voters by providing them with high-quality information about the integrity and transparency of online news sites.” Just one problem, who is providing transparency about the news rating agency?...

New Microsoft censorship tool “NewsGuard” gives favorable ratings to sites that falsely accused and attacked Convington Catholic High teens

Regardless of what Microsoft says publicly about this tool, it’s not meant to be a “fake news” filter because if it was, several news sites with a history of publishing fake news, especially in the Trump era, wouldn’t be green-checked. -- No, NewsGuard’s primary function is to serve as a Big Tech censorship tool aimed at discrediting legitimate news sources that the political establishment simply cannot tolerate.

UPDATE: CNN Hid Images and Video of Roger Stone’s 72-Year-Old Wife Being Dragged Out of Home Barefoot and In Nightgown

On Friday the Mueller Special Counsel sent 20-29 armed FBI operatives in six vehicles and a CNN camera crew to film the arrest of Trump associate Roger Stone at his home in a predawn raid.

Roger Stone was arrested barefoot and in his shorts outside his apartment.

On Monday Roger Stone told Judge Napolitano in a FOX Nation interview that his 72-year-old wife was also forced to stand outside barefoot and in her nightgown.

The ‘appeal’ came as the US is increasing pressure on the legitimate Venezuelan government in an attempt to change the political regime in the country. White House National Security Adviser John Bolton was even spotted with a mysterious note about the deployment of 5,000 US troops to Colombia, the US ally which borders Venezuela.

In this light, the military uprising or at least a partial defection will become a useful tool to overthrow the Maduro government and to push forward with the regime change agenda.

However, there is something strange with the defectors shown by CNN.

NewsGuard: A Neoconservative Contrivance Which Promotes an Establishment View

So who gets the endorsement from NewsGuard? Those who toe the line on U.S. policy and the establishment globalist/interventionist agenda. It would be interesting to know what NewsGuard’s staff of analysts is really looking for when it researches a site or media outlet. As the examples cited above demonstrate, NewsGuard has nothing to do with taking pains to report the news accurately, nor is there any evidence of real accountability. It is all about who pays the bills and who is in charge. They give the orders and one either falls in line or goes out the door. That is the reality of today’s mainstream media.

How Israel tried to hide its “malign campaign” against US citizens

This week, RT aired the first half of a conversation between host Chris Hedges, journalist Max Blumenthal and me about the film The Lobby – USA.

The explosive undercover documentary produced by Al Jazeera’s investigative unit exposes how US lobby groups – including the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and the Israel on Campus Coalition – work closely with the Israeli government to spy on, smear and sabotage American citizens who speak out for Palestinian rights.

But the four-part film never aired on Al Jazeera. After Israel lobby pressure on Qatar, which funds the news network, the documentary was censored.

Starting in August 2018, The Electronic Intifada and Blumenthal’s Grayzone Project began leaking excerpts from the film.

In November, The Electronic Intifada, along with the French publication Orient XXI and Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar, released the entire leaked film online.

Israel’s Story: Lies from Top to Bottom

A study by a Toronto-based consulting and research company has revealed that over the past fifty years mainstream reporting about Israel has been distorted to portray the Jewish state in positive terms while ignoring the plight of the Palestinians under Israeli occupation. The media study, based on a computer analysis of 50 years of data, found that major U.S. newspapers have provided consistently skewed, pro-Israel reporting on Israel-Palestine. The slanting in news coverage included subtle manipulations like using word associations favorable to Israel and derogatory to Palestinians as well as persistent publication of stories praising Israel while also avoiding reporting anything supportive of the dispossessed Arab point of view.

CNN joins MSNBC in shunning Sarah Sanders briefing

On Monday afternoon, CNN host Brooke Baldwin told her viewers: “We have one ear to this White House briefing. We’re waiting for the Q-and-A portion with Sarah Sanders.” The existence of a White House briefing, of course, was news unto itself. Sanders, the White House’s press secretary, hadn’t held a formal briefing since Dec. 18, leaving correspondents scrambling to figure out when she’d appear on Fox News so that they could ambush her somewhere on the White House grounds.

The Covington Hoax and the Big Con’s Virtue-Whoring

The only people who can any longer deny with a straight face the reality and pervasiveness of Fake News are fake journalists and their fellow travelers in the Democratic Party.

Actually, there’s in addition a third group of people whose members will, when the opportunity to virtue-signal to leftist elites presents itself, indignantly deny that much of the contemporary world of journalism is Fake News. In fact, this group of “conservatives” will even go so far as to indulge and promote the fakery.

The recent case of the Covington Catholic school boys is illustrative in a number of ways.

The Integrity Initiative scandal is getting worse — and British media keeps ignoring it

Things just keep getting worse for the poor, embattled disinformation-busting warriors at the Integrity Initiative. New leaks have revealed more embarrassing tidbits confirming yet again the shady nature of the busted operation.

This time, the spotlight is on the II’s targeting of anti-fracking activists, its ties to HSBC bank, its obsessive (near-fetishizing) focus on nuclear war with Russia and its plans to foster “a long-term appreciation” of NATO among Muslim youth.

In another blow to the image of itself as an unbiased exposer of fake news which the II had worked hard to cultivate, one of the documents details its support for and "close relationship" with Britain's Specialist Group Military Intelligence (SGMI), which was masterminded by Chris Donnelly, a key player at the II's parent organization, the London-based Institute for Statecraft (IfS).

Social Media Legally Falls Under the First Amendment; Here’s How

A court just came close to acknowledging the First Amendment applies to social media. But there is still a lot of ground to cover to protect our free speech rights online.

In Davison v Randall, a local government official blocked a constituent from an “official” Facebook page. The court held this to be viewpoint discrimination, a 1A violation in a long-recognized category of unconstitutional speech restraint. Advocates like the ACLU and Knight Institute supported the case to bolster the argument Trump cannot block people on his Twitter feed; lower courts have agreed it is unconstitutional under the 1A for Trump to silence his critics this way. The Department of Justice is appealing, and the ACLU is happy to build precedent with smaller cases like Davison v Randall, as the Trump case almost certainly will wind its way to the Supreme Court.

The Vultures of Caracas

We are frequently told that people in Venezuela have no food, clothing or toilet paper, and that popular discontent with the left wing government is driven by real hunger. Bill Maher Compares Trump Voters to 'Mrs. Goebbels in the Bunker' Killing Her Children

If you've cast even a casual glance at liberal comic Bill Maher over the years, you're probably aware that the juvenile comparison of American conservatives to Nazis is a predictable element in Maher's shtick.

So it was once again on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher over the weekend, this time while Maher was talking with guest Michael McFaul, US ambassador to Russia during the Obama presidency.

McFaul, pointing out that he's originally from Montana and acquainted with some of the people who comprise President Trump's base, asserted that Trump has failed to do anything to help them in the two years since he took office. This led Maher to cite Trump's low approval ratings while making an over-the-top analogy --

Beyond the necessities of a publication’s house style, beyond the fact that as national news organizations they would have to cover the same stories, I began to lose the ability to tell the content of these companies apart. Abolish Ghost-banning on Youtube comments

Many Youtubers are having their comments ghost banned (shadow banned) because they are getting lost in the spam filter, or are deliberately being tagged as spam by trolls who leave hateful comments, and then remove legitimate responses.

There should be no limit to how often youtubers can comment, and there needs to be a simple system to make sure that users are not being unfairly banned. A simple process for users to be able to appeal and re-instate their ghost ban needs to be introduced. There needs to be a clear warning to the user that they have been ghost banned, why specifically they have been banned, as well as clear procedures for how they can appeal, or what they need to do in order to avoid being banned in future. It is highly deceptive to ban a user without informing them, and providing no useful procedure for the user to appeal.

While Google paid lip-service to workplace activists, their lawyers fought to strip their rights

Employees at web giant Google are in an uproar after it was reported the company had been pushing to overturn a labor law ruling protecting activists who organize over workplace email and forums.

Google has reportedly lobbied with the National Labor Relations Board (NRLB) to change a 2014 regulation after activists within the company organized a series of high-profile protests last year, including a 20,000 person walk-out in November over Google’s alleged mishandling of sexual assault accusations against several executives.

'Largest scam in history': HALF of Facebook accounts fake, says Zuckerberg's Harvard classmate

As many as half of Facebook's two billion accounts are fake or duplicates, according to a new report from a former classmate of CEO Mark Zuckerberg. He has highlighted how the fakes defraud users, advertisers and investors alike.

Rocked by a major privacy scandal last year, Facebook has been trying to create an image of a company with high community standards, striving to curb the illicit behavior of users. But the company may be deliberately understating the amount of fake accounts, a new report says.

The firm's own quarterly investment reports reveal that the its much-vaunted account base, which is supposedly has over 2 billion monthly active users, is packed with fake accounts communicating with just enough randomness to trick the social network's algorithms, according to Zuckerberg's former classmate at Harvard, Aaron Greenspan.

The hypocritical virtue-signaling outrage from CNN and the other regime media presstitutes and pundits, the Twittering Hollywood hate brigades, and the legion of sanctimonious Social Justice Warriors (including those of #NeverTrump Conservative, Inc.) rushed to judgment to condemn this group of Kentucky teenagers who were almost compiled as if from central casting as portraying all the demonic and deplorable enemies of progressivism and all that is stereotypical anti-Trump – young, white, anti-abortion Catholics boys attending a Right to Life March, wearing red MAGA caps, who dared allegedly obstruct and demean a sacred native American elder.

The United Nations Human Rights Office announced yesterday it is beginning an investigation into the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

In a statement, the UN said that an independent panel would seek to establish “the nature and extent of states’ and individuals’ responsibilities for the killing”.

The UN special rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, Agnes Callamard, said she would travel to Turkey next week to head an “independent international inquiry” into Khashoggi’s murder in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on 2 October.

British barrister Helena Kennedy and Duarte Nuno Vieira, a pathology expert and professor at the department of legal and forensic medicine at Coimbra University, Portugal, are among the team. Along with Callamard, they are to visit Turkey between 28 January and 3 February and plan to report to the UN Human Rights Council in June.

Callamard said that the findings will be raised at the UN rights office on 19 June.

Webmaster's Commentary:

More sound and fury from the UN, signifying nothing; the responsibilities for the death of Khasshogi will be squarely placed on the "usual suspects" (underlings, with absolutely no power of decision making whatsoever), and the real blame against who most probably ordered the hit (most likely, the Butcher of Yemen, Crown Prince Bin Salmin and his cohorts in the White House), will be left , uncharged, in order to let Saudi Arabia and US continue their genocidal war in Yemen.

Microsoft now conspiring with pro-Monsanto front group “NewsGuard” to censor all anti-GMO news on mobile devices
