Blaming the Victims of Israel’s Gaza Massacre

On the 70th anniversary of Israel’s so-called “declaration of independence,” the United States opened its new embassy in Jerusalem—a city Israel claims as its own, despite what international law says on the matter—and Palestinians undertook unarmed protests in reaction to the move and as part of the Great Return March. Although to this point, the only Israeli casualty during the entire cycle of demonstrations has been one “lightly wounded” soldier, considerable space in coverage of the massacres is devoted to blaming Palestinians for their own slaughter.

Two of the first three paragraphs in an NBC report (5/14/18) provided Israel’s rationalizations for its killing spree. The second sentence in the article says that the Israeli military accused Hamas of “leading a terrorist operation under the cover of masses of people,” adding that “firebombs and explosive devices” as well as rocks were being thrown towards the barrier.

PROPAGANDA 101: HOW TO DEFEND A MASSACRE

Rosner fully justifies the massacre, with no apologies, regret, or second thoughts. He believes the killing of these Palestinians was correct, and that they deserved to die. Now you might, as I do, think this attitude is so self-evidently barbaric that even to debate it is to surrender a little bit of one’s humanity. But Rosner’s position is not a fringe one, and the good liberals at the New York Times consider it within the boundaries of reasonable discourse, so unfortunately we have not yet achieved the kind of world in which such thinking is “self-evidently” immoral. (This reflects very badly on all of us.) I’d like, then, to go through Rosner’s argument paragraph by paragraph, to show how he constructs his defense of murder, why it might be persuasive to people, and why it fails and should horrify everyone.

Dozens of foreign ISIS brides sentenced to death in Iraq

Dozens of foreign ISIS brides are being sentenced to death in Iraq as the country exacts its revenge after three years of jihadi occupation.

Pleading that they themselves are victims, the women were given 10 minutes to beg for their lives before judges decide their sentence.

Many of them find little sympathy with the Iraqi judiciary and locals and are despised for their support of their militant husbands, who tore the country apart between 2014 and 2017.

French citizen Djamila Boutoutao, 29, appeared in court last month and claimed: “I thought I had married a rapper. It was only when we arrived in Turkey for a week-long ‘holiday’ that I discovered my husband was a jihadist.”

“I’m a victim. My husband beat me and locked me up in a cave with my children when I refused to follow him (to Iraq).”

She reappeared in court again last week alongside 14 other women, The Guardian reported, where she begged to keep her daughter.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These women, and most probably their children, will be murdered by the Iraqi government, demonstrating that the Muqtada coalition is just as barbaric and midieval regarding issues pertaining to women, as were their predecessors.

They were, in many cases, victims of men who played and betrayed them, not revealing their jihadi affiliations until after they had been married to these guys.

And hey, Amal Clooney; we know where you and your husband were last weekend, attending the royal wedding of the Duke and Dutchess of Sussex; where the hell are you now, in a human rights case, that is screaming your name?!?

the short answer is, NOWHERE.

China Celebrates Social Credit System Blocking People from over 11 Million Flights

China’s state-run Global Times newspaper reported on Monday that over 11.14 million instances of individuals not being able to board flights – and 4.25 million similar incidents on trains – had occurred “by the end of April.”
Since the same person could attempt to board a flight or train and have officials deny them more than once, it is likely that the number of individuals banned from traveling is slightly lower than the number of instances in which the government has blocked travel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Watch for such a system to be instituted in the US, in the very near future; and for some people who are late on paying taxes, such draconian steps are already in place here:

Another Travel Ban: IRS Moves to revoke Passports for Unpaid Taxes
The article goes on to state:

"Now, over a year later, the IRS has finally released new details on its website. If you have seriously delinquent tax debt, IRS can notify the State Department. The State Department generally will not issue or renew a passport after receiving certification from the IRS. The IRS has not yet started certifying tax debt to the State Department. The IRS says certifications will begin in early 2017, and the IRS website will be updated to indicate when this process has been implemented."

Caputo says Mueller team didn't seem to care about alleged informants in Trump campaign

Former Trump campaign adviser Michael Caputo opened up to Fox News about alleged informants who approached him during the 2016 presidential election, and revealed that special investigators didn’t seem to care at all.

“I gave this information to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, and I gave this information to the Mueller team. They never reached out to the intermediary to check on it,” he told Neil Cavuto Tuesday on “Your World.” “They didn't even seem to be taking notes.”

Caputo said he was approached in early May 2016 by an intermediary “who had been talking to a government official” looking to connect with the Trump campaign -- purportedly to hand off Hillary Clinton-related emails.

Caputo noted both were amazed to be contacted from a government organization, which he didn’t name.

Webmaster's Commentary:

‘First step’: House passes prison reform bill uniting (some) Democrats and Trump

The US House of Representatives overwhelmingly backed the First Step Act, which would allow more inmates to earn an early release from federal prisons and end practices such as shackling female prisoners during childbirth.

The bill, House Resolution 5682, was approved on Tuesday evening by a vote of 360 in favor and 59 opposed. Co-sponsored by Representatives Doug Collins (R-Georgia) and Hakeem Jeffries (D-New York), the bill managed to unite President Donald Trump and some of his critics among the Democrats.

Under the law, federal inmates would be able to earn up to 54 days per year in “good time credits” towards an early release, up from the previous cap of 47. This would apply retroactively, meaning that around 4,000 inmates could be released immediately once it is signed into law, according to Axios.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It sounds like a decent first step; unfortunately, prisons in this country are deliberately engineered to fail, and that is borne out by the horrifically high recidivism rates we see in the Unhinged, Surveilled State of WarMerica.

There are countries, particularly in Scandanavia, which don't have anywhere near the recidivism rates we do here.

And why?!?

They treat prisoners as though they were human beings.

I have kind of a hug/punch relationship with the work of Michael Moore, but I must tell you that his "Where to Invade Next", was nothing short of sheer genius. One of the places he filmed, was a Swedish prison, where you saw the incarcerated treated with respect, because the goal of Swedish prisons is rehabilitation, and reintegration with society at large.

US recidivism rate is around 50%.

US recidivism rates

Sweden's is under 40%, because of its commitment to rehabilitation, rather than punishment per se.

Sweden has done for its prisoners what the US government won't

One would think that the US might want to take a clue from prison systems which are working far better than its own does; of course, that... would be logical.

Reuters Poll: Republicans Lead Generic Ballot for First Time in 2018 Cycle

For the first time this election cycle, Republicans lead Democrats on the generic ballot, according to a new Reuters poll.

About 38 percent of registered voters would pick the Republican candidate if midterm elections were today, while around 37 percent would pick the Democrat, 16 percent said they were unsure which party they would choose or refused to take the survey, and 7 percent would opt for a third-party candidate, the poll found.

The dramatic shift is bad news for Democrats, who were a full ten points on the generic ballot as recently as the end of April. If the trend holds, their hopes of regaining control of Congress atop a blue wave in November could be dashed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Now that both Clinton's and Obama's quiet, nearly unimaginable corruption, and infiltration of Trumps 2016 campaign, are coming to light, and there is nothing the Democrats can do to stop this, I think that people may be more prone to vote for Republicans rather than Democrats in the upcoming midterms.

It all depends on both how the economy is going, and whether President Trump is able to lead this country without bringing the US into yet another horrific war, in which this country will be enmeshed for well over a decade, as has happened with Afghanistan.

Rudy Giuliani won deal for OxyContin maker to continue sales of drug behind opioid deaths

The US government missed the opportunity to curb sales of the drug that kickstarted the opioid epidemic when it secured the only criminal conviction against the maker of OxyContin a decade ago.

Purdue Pharma hired Rudolph Giuliani, the former New York mayor and now Donald Trump’s lawyer, to head off a federal investigation in the mid-2000s into the company’s marketing of the powerful prescription painkiller at the centre of an epidemic estimated to have claimed at least 300,000 lives.

While Giuliani was not able to prevent the criminal conviction over Purdue’s fraudulent claims for OxyContin’s safety and effectiveness, he was able to reach a deal to avoid a bar on Purdue doing business with the federal government which would have killed a large part of the multibillion-dollar market for the drug.

The former New York mayor also secured an agreement that greatly restricted further prosecution of the pharmaceutical company and kept its senior executives out of prison.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why is it, that people who are at the top of US society, no matter what party they represent, are such pieces of non-biodegradable pond scum, in terms of their ultimate effects on society?!?

AMAZON PUSHES FACIAL RECOGNITION TO POLICE, PROMPTING OUTCRY OVER SURVEILLANCE...

Amazon's decision to market a powerful face recognition tool to police is alarming privacy advocates, who say the tech giant's reach could vastly accelerate a dystopian future in which camera-equipped officers can identify and track people in real time, whether they're involved in crimes or not.

It's not clear how many law enforcement agencies have purchased the tool, called Rekognition, since its launch in late 2016 or since its update last fall, when Amazon added capabilities that allow it to identify people in videos and follow their movements almost instantly.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office in Oregon has used it to quickly compare unidentified suspects in surveillance images to a database of more than 300,000 booking photos from the county jail — a common use of such technology around the country — while the Orlando Police Department in Florida is testing whether it can be used to single out persons-of-interest in public spaces and alert officers to their presence.

The horrific possibilities outlined in the film "Minority Reporty" are, apparently, already with us, courtesy of Amazon.

VENEZUELA'S MADURO REJECTS TRUMP'S SANCTIONS, EXPELS TOP US DIPLOMAT

A day after being re-"elected", Venezuela's Maduro spoke on State TV rejecting U.S. sanctions - which "offend national dignity" - and expelling the top US diplomat from Caracas due to "conspiratorial behavior" against the government.

Tensions have mounted mount between the two countries following Maduro's victory in disputed presidential elections on Sunday. The White House has branded the election a "sham," and Maduro claims he "earned every vote and fought to win."

“How many times have they underestimated me?” Maduro, 55, called out to crowd of supporters outside the Miraflores presidential palace in Caracas.

“You have believed in me, and I’m going to respond to this infinite confidence, this lovely confidence.”

“They say you were forced to vote, that you were coerced into voting -- it’s an insult to the people!"

Webmaster's Commentary:

Was the Venezuelan vote tampered with?!? Most probably. But the same kind of shenanigans happen in the Unhinged, Surveilled State of WarMerica on a consistent basis.

Ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz about how she insured that Bernie Sanders was robbed of the Democratic nomination for President, if you don't believe me.

I very strong regret that Maduro has thrown out Naranjo and Robinson, the American diplomats on the ground here.

This will, in turn, set the stage for a US-backed "color revolution", to bring Maduro down, and have installed a more US-centric puppet, eager to make sure that Venezuelan oil, which is documented as being one of the largest oil reserves on the planet... is only sold in US dollars.

WHERE THE DEBT SLAVES ARE THE MOST VULNERABLE

This type of chart is trotted out constantly these days to show that American households are in fabulous shape when it comes to their ability to service their blistering record debts. The red line in the chart shows household debt-service payments (combined monthly payments on mortgages, credit cards, auto loans, and student loans) as a percent of disposable (after-tax) income. Since 1980, the ratio has ranged from 9.9% to 13.2%. It hit that top in Q4 2007 just before it all came apart. Ten years later, it was at 10.3%. Hence the conclusion that households won’t have any trouble servicing their record debts. In a moment, we’ll get to the trap in this conclusion.

It all looks good, in terms of the debt burden. And so the red line in the chart above is trotted out to show that the American consumer – this unified, amorphous, monolithic structure whose job it is to hold up the entire global economy – is strong and won’t buckle.

NETANYAHU ORDERS CABINET MEET IN SECRET UNDERGROUND BUNKER, FEARS LEAKS ON SYRIA AND IRAN

In yet another sign that broader war between Israel, Syria, and Iran may be on the horizon Israel’s Channel 10 has revealed in an exclusive broadcast that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently ordered all national security cabinet meetings to be held in a secure underground bunker in Jerusalem.

The National Security Cabinet (NSC), also known as the “inner cabinet,” is akin to the US National Security Council and convenes regularly under the authority of the prime minister in the Prime Minister’s building in Jerusalem. However, according to Channel 10’s Barak Ravid, who broke the story, Netanyahu made the decision out of fear of leaks related to “sensitive discussions on Syria and Iran.”

The underground secure Jerusalem bunker normally hosts the National Crisis Management Center, responsible for emergency planning and response during times of war or national crises.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder if the location of these meetings have been moved due to Netanyahu's determination to wage war against all three of these countries, with US military assistance, and quickly.

Public opinion in the US does not augur well for Israel doing this, so Netanyahu may well feel that Israel must move swiftly, to avoid a groundswell of US popular resistance to such actions.

LANDMARK LAWSUIT CLAIMS MONSANTO HID CANCER DANGER OF WEEDKILLER FOR DECADES

At the age of 46, DeWayne Johnson is not ready to die. But with cancer spread through most of his body, doctors say he probably has just months to live. Now Johnson, a husband and father of three in California, hopes to survive long enough to make Monsanto take the blame for his fate.

On 18 June, Johnson will become the first person to take to trial on allegations that it has spent decades hiding the cancer-causing dangers of its popular Roundup herbicide products – and his case has just received a major boost.

Last week Judge Curtis Karnow issued an order clearing the way for jurors to consider not just scientific evidence related to what caused Johnson’s cancer, but allegations that Monsanto suppressed evidence of the risks of its weed killing products. Karnow ruled that the trial will proceed and a jury would be allowed to consider possible punitive damages.

Monsanto says its pesticides are safe. Now, a court wants to see the proof

Webmaster's Commentary:

U.S. warns citizens in China after 'abnormal' sound injures consulate worker

An American citizen working at the U.S. consulate in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou has reported suffering from “abnormal” sounds and pressure leading to a mild brain injury, the U.S. embassy said on Wednesday.

The embassy, which issued a health alert to Americans living in China, said it could not link the case to health issues suffered by U.S. government staff in Cuba dating back to late 2016.

However, later on Wednesday, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told lawmakers that the “sonic attack” in China was “medically similar” to the incidents in Cuba.

The unnamed American citizen assigned to the consulate in Guangzhou had reported a variety of “physical symptoms” dating from late 2017 to April this year, the U.S. embassy in Beijing said in an email.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What is interesting here, both in the case of China and Cuba, is that citizens of other countries do not seem to have been affected, as no people from other origins, other than Americans, have suffered from this; the question to be asked here, is why, and why is it that only Americans, seem to be affected by these symptoms?!?

Yes, Virginia, There Is a Deep State

At the end dismissed by mainstream commentators as “conspiracy theory,” the Deep State is an invisible second government which acts in a coordinated manner to protect its prerogatives and advance its interests and favored policies versus changes supposedly demanded by “the people” via their elected representatives in Congress and the presidency. The premier example of this view is the claim that John F. Kennedy was assassinated by the CIA and the military industrial complex because (in one version) he was about to get the US out of Vietnam.

If that end of the spectrum sounds crazy to you, consider:

BlogviewPatrick Cockburn Archive Uncritical Support from the US Will Do Israel More Damage Than Good

The Palestinian issue is back on the international agenda more than at any time over the last 15 years. If the move of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was intended to demonstrate that the Palestinians were powerless and there was nothing they could do about it, then it has failed.

The embassy move, signalling that the US has abandoned even its previous modest restraint on Israeli actions, had exactly the opposite effect to the one intended. The protesting Palestinians and not the celebrating Israelis and Americans became the central feature of the event. Television split screens showed what looked like a Trump campaign rally in Jerusalem side by side with Israeli soldiers shooting dead 62 Palestinians and wounding a further 1,360 in Gaza.

Israeli claims that they were defending the fence that surrounds Gaza from an attack by Hamas activists armed with stones and kites were contradicted both by the television pictures and the lack of any Israeli casualties.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Patrick Cockburn, whose work I greatly respect, misses one critical point in his equation; the Trump Presidency has absolutely outsourced his Middle East policy to Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu, and that creates an horrific danger for this country, the Middle East in general, and the world.

Please understand; Israel wants to see Lebanon, Syria, and Iran "neutralized, and to see regime change in all countries to create governments which are more Israel-centric. He also wants to see Hamas fail spectacularly in Gaza, and is doing everything within his power to accomplish that goal.

However, the caveat I would share here, is that he only wants this done at the costs of American blood and American money.

And then, there is the 6,000 lb gorilla, snoozing on the Bosendorfer grand, in the living room in the situations in Syria and Iran; that is the presence of Russia, which has pledged to prevent both the regimes in both countries from falling, if they are attacked militarily.

Tel Aviv would love nothing better than creating the climate for "Let Russia and the US fight it out in Syria and Iran." And what happens if such a war is a Pyrrhic victory for both sides?!?

Israel is then in position to control all the region's oil, and in what currency that oil will be sold.

Do not be deceived here; in terms of nation-to-nation "friendship", Israel is a true "frenemy", ready to instantly turn away, when the dead host, WarMerica, can no longer support its hubristic warmongering in the region.

And this is followed by a companion article, also from antiwar.com, which is more than a little eye-opening on the topic of the US government "never being able to do enough for Israel":

Israeli MPs Push Trump to Let Them Use Military Aid on Non-US Equipment

The article goes on to state:

"The $38 billion aid package is to be spent on US-made equipment. This has been a common way to make foreign aid politically safe, as it means that money is ultimately going to US arms makers who have a lot of influence.

Israeli officials, however, see this US armament as a problem for their economy. The Israeli Knesset Finance Committee is estimating that 22,000 Israeli jobs would be lost if the US doesn’t just send Israel the money straightaway and let them spending on Israeli-made arms."

Washington’s Pax Americana Cartel

In 2016, Donald Trump distinguished himself from his chief Republican opponents and certainly from Hillary Clinton by saying out loud what many ordinary Americans already suspected: that in terms of immediate threats, it’s not some faraway axis of evil that we need to worry about so much as pervasive stupidity among the managers of Pax America in Washington. In memorable fashion, Trump vowed to “drain the swamp” and to formulate an “America First” approach to policy. If elected, Trump would end the reckless squandering of American power. So, at least, he said.

Haspel Is Not the Problem. The CIA Is the Problem.

As a general rule, when Dick Cheney favors a foreign policy position it’s best to be on the opposite side if you value liberty over war and authoritarianism. The former vice president’s enthusiastic endorsement of not only Gina Haspel as CIA director but of the torture program she oversaw should tell us all we need to know about Haspel.

Saying that Haspel would make a great CIA director, Cheney dismissed concerns over the CIA’s torture program. Asked in a television interview last week about the program, Cheney said, “if it were my call, I’d do it again.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, Dr. Paul, this is precisely what we have become as a country; a country with no concern for human rights, either domestic or foreign; where the quietly corrupt, as is former President Barak Obama, who has been unmasked as having ordered spying on the Trump campaign, gets brilliantly financially rewarded; and where the agendas of the military/industrial complex and the medical/industrial complex must be obeyed, and anyone with peaceful, alternative views will get either literally, or, professionally, assassinated.

I understand this very completely, as that last criminal act, is what happened to my sweetheart Michael, when he asked a very logical question concerning the very strange death of Vincent Foster, during the Clinton years.

You might remember: the image the Clinton White House put out of Foster's body, was as far as humanly possible from what the real damage by this kind of alleged "suicide" would have caused.
The Death Of Vincent Foster: Vincent Foster's wounds were not as reported!

The Day of Shame

For me, the moving of the US embassy means nothing. It is a symbolic act that does not change reality. If and when peace does come, no one will care about some stupid act of a half-forgotten US president. Inshallah.

So there they were, this bunch of self-important nobodies, Israelis, Americans and those in-between, having their little festival, while rivers of blood were flowing in Gaza. Human beings were killed by the dozen and wounded by the thousand.

The ceremony started as a cynical meeting, which quickly became grotesque, and ended in being sinister. Nero fiddling while Rome was burning.

When the last hug was exchanged and the last compliment paid (especially to the graceful Ivanka), Gaza remained what it was – a huge concentration camp with severely overcrowded hospitals, lacking medicines and food, drinkable water and electricity.

South Koreans See John Bolton as an Obstacle to Trump-Kim Summit

While President Trump’s reaction to “hiccups” in diplomacy ahead of the North Korea summit is to threaten Kim, South Korean officials say they see the real problem as John Bolton. MP Chung Dong-young referred to Bolton as one of “several land mines” that are in the way of the summit.

South Korea’s current pro-diplomacy government has a lot of familiar faces to their last such government, which was in power when Bolton was a hawkish ambassador. South Korean analysts saw Bolton’s hawkish stance on North Korea before as a problem, and say he hasn’t changed.

When Bolton’s talk of the “Libya model” in North Korea immediately provoked fury from the North Korean government, US officials didn’t seem to understand why. South Korean officials say the “Libya model” was an obvious red light to North Korea.

Indeed, it’s a blunder to the point where officials suggest that Bolton is deliberately interfering in the peace process, and trying to botch it in doing so.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bolton is one of the most war-centric people around this President, and that is a real problem for any kind of peace to have a chance to happen between the two Koreas.

He will try to do his utmost to scuttle the meeting between Trump and Kim Jung Un, and he, and his cohorts, do have a rather wide assortment of tactics they can deploy in their diplomatic, and military, arsenals, to prevent this from happening.

Pentagon Threatens More Aggressive Stance Toward Iran

Following up on Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s bellicose threats toward Iran, Pentagon officials suggested that moving against Iran would require a “whole government solution.” They pointed toward the Pentagon being more aggressive toward Iran in the future.

While officials were not specific about what the Pentagon would or even might do, they condemned Iran’s “malign influence” in the region. Some talked up freedom of navigation operations, which has long been a favored way for the US Navy to pick fights or escalate tensions with rivals.

Purely theoretically, the freedom of navigation exercise is just meant to prove that ships can safely transit certain waters. Though Iran has never impeded anyone’s ships passing around their sphere of influence, the US Navy has favored parking ships along Iran’s maritime borders, and occasionally hugging that border.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What alleged "malign influence" is the Pentagon talking about here, regarding Iran, please?!?

Just because Iranian advisors were not going to allow Syria to go down in flames, courtesy of a US/NATO cabal, supporting rebels in taking control of Damascus' government, and throwing Al Assad out, is this the reason for the Pentagon's ire against it?!?

Someone... has some 'spaining to do, as to the actual, and specific, activities Iran has really done, then honestly document them, if they think for one moment that they can lead the American people to a mindset of wanting war against the Iranians, who have done nothing negative, or wrong, to the people of the US. The people of this country are both war-weary, and war-skeptical, and more wars will be a lose for any candidate who supports more wars, before mid-term elections here in the US.

As ADHD Diagnoses Increased, So Did Calls to Poison Control

A NEW STUDY IS SOUNDING the alarm about misuse of medication for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

There were 156,365 calls to poison control centers for people under 20 who were improperly exposed to ADHD medication from 2000 through 2014, according to the study published in the journal Pediatrics. The number of calls surged between 2000 and 2011 before declining slightly between 2011 and 2014.

Overall, call volume increased by 60 percent over the period, says the study's senior author, Gary Smith.

"As the diagnoses and treatment with medication of ADHD have increased in the U.S., these exposures have also increased, which means we really do need to pay more attention … and for different age groups, come up with different strategies to prevent them," says Smith, director of the Center for Injury Research and Policy at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The following is a reality which needs to be checked out by all parents who love their kids very much:

The Man who Discovered ADHD makes a Startling Deathbed Confession

The article goes on to state:

"“ADHD is a prime example of a fictitious disease.” These were the words of Leon Eisenberg, the “scientific father of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder),” in his last interview he gave before his death at age 87 in 2009.

(While some have described Dr. Eisenberg’s statement as an “exaggeration,” many doctors are coming to the belated conclusion that ADHD is often “over diagnosed” by the use of “fuzzy diagnostic practices.” Harvard psychologist Jerome Kagan, who is one of the world’s leading experts in child development, states:

“Let’s go back 50 years. We have a 7-year-old child who is bored in school and disrupts classes. Back then, he was called lazy. Today, he is said to suffer from ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). . . . Every child who’s not doing well in school is sent to see a pediatrician, and the pediatrician says: “It’s ADHD; here’s Ritalin.” In fact, 90 percent of these 5.4 million kids don’t have an abnormal dopamine metabolism. The problem is, if a drug is available to doctors, they’ll make the corresponding diagnosis.)

Eisenberg made a luxurious living off of his “fictitious disease,” thanks to pharmaceutical sales.

Please remember: Doctors in the US are frequently compensated by drug companies manufacturing drugs, like ADHD drugs, for prescribing them to their patients.

So the next time you're taking Little Johnny to his pediatrician, as his teacher has told you that he has a really hard time focusing and staying still, ask that doc, and look them right in the eye when you ask this, if he or she is getting compensated by the drug company whose prescription he is going to prescribe for your child's alleged ADHD.

Every parent in this country should be asking that question of their own, and their kid's doctor; full disclosure, in both directions, is reasonable here.

Why did Facebook ban The Electronic Intifada’s ad for “Killing Gaza”?

Facebook banned an advert paid for by The Electronic Intifada a day after it was approved and was running successfully.

The ban lasted for almost three days before the ad was restored without explanation.

This apparent act of censorship comes as Facebook is deepening its collaboration with Israel lobby groups and a pro-war Washington think tank to impose tighter controls on what people are allowed to see online, especially about Israel’s violations of Palestinian rights.

Russian Airbase In Syria Attacked By Drones Of "Unknown Origin"

Did the Russians just repel another al-Qaeda mass drone attack, similar to the one in January of this year?

Though details are still unclear, Damascus-based journalist Danny Makki reports that numerous drones have been downed by Russian air-defenses near Khmeimim airbase (or alternately Hmeimim airbase). In the nearby coastal city of Jableh loud aerial explosions could be heard sometime before 11pm local time — thought to be Russian missile defense systems engaging the drones.

The Russian Defense Ministry quickly acknowledged the attack, telling RT News that "An unmanned aircraft of unknown origin has been shot down near the Russian Khmeimim airbase in Syria." And further: "No one was injured in the incident and the base did not sustain any damage," the Russian Defense Ministry said

White House: Justice Department to investigate FBI’s Russia probe

President Trump and top intelligence and law enforcement officials reached an uneasy compromise on Monday, following another weekend of blistering attacks from the President aimed at his own Justice Department.

Following the hour-long meeting, the White House confirmed that the agency’s internal watchdog will review the FBI’s use of an informant in the early days of its probe into Trump’s campaign and that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly will review classified information about the informant sought by Republican lawmakers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The wheels may just be coming off the train of Obama/Clinton corruption.

TRUMP ADMINISTRATION SETS ITS SIGHTS ON DISMANTLING TEENAGE LABOR LAWS

You’ve heard the phrase “burdensome regulations” ad nauseum for probably your entire adult life. But one branch of regulation that’s definitely not burdensome, nor optional, is the branch that protects minors from dangerous workplace conditions.

At the present time, America’s Hazardous Occupations Orders, or HOs, prohibit employers from tasking teenagers under the age of 18 with the operation of chainsaws and a host of other powered equipment; working at height, including on rooftops; and a broad variety of other manifestly hazardous types of manual labor, for more than one supervised hour per day.

But the Department of Labor intends to introduce a proposal that would remove the restrictions we’ve just described. Their mission, literally, is to “safely launch more family-sustaining careers by removing current regulatory restrictions on the amount of time that apprentices and student learners may perform HO-governed work,” reads the official DOL statement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And how, precisely, does this writer expect such a "federal jobs guarantee program" supposed to work, please?!?

FORMER OBAMA CIA DIRECTOR JOHN BRENNAN FREAKS OUT OVER POTUS TRUMP’S DEMAND DOJ INVESTIGATE ILLEGAL OBAMA-ERA POLITICAL SPYING

WEEKS EARLIER D.C. WHISPERS SHARED WITH READERS INFORMATION THAT INDICATED JOHN BRENNAN’S NAME WAS SOON TO BE FRONT AND CENTER IN THE DEEP STATE’S MANUFACTURED TRUMP INVESTIGATION FIASCO.
THAT TIME HAS ARRIVED IN THE FORM OF A FULL-ON FREAKOUT BY THE FORMER CIA DIRECTOR WHO WENT SO FAR AS TO THREATEN HOUSE SPEAKER PAUL RYAN AND SENATE MAJORITY LEADER MITCH MCCONNELL IF THEY DON’T DO SOMETHING TO STOP PRESIDENT TRUMP.
It is a bizarre public post with clear threatening implications on the D.C. Establishment that has a man who likely holds many dark secrets on many powerful figures that if they don’t protect him from President Trump there will be hell to pay.

It also goes beyond Brennan. His public desperation to get the Trump administration to back off from investigating 2016 Election wrongdoing by the Deep State is likely due to immense pressure from the Obama Machine to protect the former president at all cost.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It's too late to stop this train.

President Obama will ultimately be proven, and outed, as one of the most quietly corrupt Presidents ever sitting in that Oval Office, and there is utterly nothing Brennan can do at this point, except to flee to a country which has no extradition arrangement with the US.

I would suggest that some of his aides start a very descreet search in this area; because trust me, he just may well need this information, and quickly.

"IT'S RIDICULOUS" - PARENTS FURIOUS AS AUSTRALIA SEEKS TO BAN USE OF "BOY" OR "GIRL" IN BOOKS

"For goodness sake, this is social engineering gone crazy...

Leave kids alone to be kids. Stop trying to destroy kids’ childhoods..."

That is an example of the furious reaction from parents in Victoria, Australia where the local city council has announced plans to audit children’s books and toys with a plan to ban them from kindergartens, schools and libraries if they don’t meet strict gender guidelines.

The Herald Sun reports that the local government's justice warriors were inspired by research from the Australian National University that showed children were influenced by gender stereotyping, and urged a ban on the terms 'boy' and 'girl'.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is utter hogwash, but I understand why Australia is going this way, and for the followng reason:

Teen hormoes being altered by gender-bending chemicals
But this isn't just happening in the UK; it is happening all over the planet.

The Australian government can't fix this, so it is attempting to normalize what they cannot repair in the state of their drinking water.

The next step coming, of course, will be a "Farenheit 451" moment for the Australian people, when banned books will be physically destroyed.

VERIZON BEGINS 'TESTING' DSL USAGE CAPS IT REFUSES TO CALL USAGE CAPS

For years now broadband providers have used a lack of competition to impose all manner of obnoxious additional fees on the backs of broadband consumers. That includes arbitrary and obnoxious usage caps and overage charges, which not only raise rates on captive customers, but quite intentionally make using streaming video competitors more expensive and cumbersome. Once caps are in place, large ISPs often exempt their own content from usage caps while still penalizing streaming competitors (aka zero rating).

ISPs used to claim that such limits were necessary to manage network congestion, but as that argument was increasingly debunked (caps don't actually help manage congestion) they've shifted their justifications to more flimsy alternatives. These days, ISPs usually offer no justification at all, or issue vague declarations that they're simply trying to help users "better understand their consumption habits."

Webmaster's Commentary:

With these kinds of usage fees being places on internet services, consumers need to fight back, but that is difficult when a company has a monopoly in specific areas, and there are no other services from which to chose.

AN ISRAEL-IRAN WAR IS UNLIKELY TO HAPPEN ANY TIME SOON

Writing in the Asia Times earlier this month, David P. Goldman lamented that an Israel-Iran war is unlikely to take place any time soon. His observation appears surprising considering the mainstream media has been hyping up the idea of such a war over the past few months.

Nevertheless, he is correct. Short of something catastrophic that completely upsets the current status quo, there are many signs that Israel and Iran are not headed for a direct confrontation in the immediate future. Though the mainstream media dishonestly advertises such a war, the truth is that Israel’s next war will not take place in Iran — or even Syria for that matter. It is far more likely to take place in Lebanon.

As Goldman explained:

Webmaster's Commentary:

First, why in the name of heaven, is this man "lamenting" that it doesn't look like there will be war between Israel and Iran in the near term, but a war against Hezbullah in Lebanon is close to a dead moral certainty?!?

For intelligent people, any war is to be avoided if there is any other way to resolve geopolitical differences.

Apparently, when it comes to David Goldman's thinking, all wars bringing Israel closer to acheiving the "Erez Israel" model, should be pursued, and immediately.

Sweden distributes 'be prepared for war' leaflet to all 4.8m homes

The Swedish government has begun sending all 4.8m of the country’s households a public information leaflet telling the population, for the first time in more than half a century, what to do in the event of a war.

Om krisen eller kriget kommer (If crisis or war comes) explains how people can secure basic needs such as food, water and heat, what warning signals mean, where to find bomb shelters and how to contribute to Sweden’s “total defence”.

The 20-page pamphlet, illustrated with pictures of sirens, warplanes and families fleeing their homes, also prepares the population for dangers such as cyber and terror attacks and climate change, and includes a page on identifying fake news.

The publication comes as the debate on security – and the possibility of joining Nato – has intensified in Sweden in the wake of Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014 and recent incursions into Swedish airspace and territorial waters by Russian planes and submarines.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The question I need to ask here is, why now?!?

You have to love the irony of this story, written by John Henley, as the Swedish officials talk about how to spot fake news, then in a couple of paragraphs down, Henley makes the false claim that Russia "annexed" Crimea, which never happened.

In 2014, after the coup threw the duly elected Ukrainian President Yanukovich under the proverbial bus, and replaced him with Poroshenko, Crimean officials realized that there was no true rule of law in Ukraine at that point.

What they did was a two-step referendum, first asking their people if they wanted to stay with Ukraine of leave it (the people voted overwhelmingly to leave, due to Ukraine's massive corruption), and secondly, petition the Russian Federation to join it, and Russia accepted that petition. These are the facts on the ground which cannot be erased, period, end of discussion.

And John, for having included that codswallop "bit" about Russia having annexed Crimea, because that is the American And European narrative, and you have been given your "marching orders" not to stray from it, even though you know it never happened, shame on you, sir.

DUMA PASSES BILL ON COUNTER-SANCTIONS, GIVES RUSSIAN GOVT POWER TO IMPOSE RESTRICTIONS

The Russian State Duma has passed a bill aimed at defending "economic interests and security" in response to the latest sanctions introduced by the United States and its allies.
The motion was drafted by State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and the heads of all four parliamentary caucuses in mid-April, days after the US Treasury Department released a list of 24 Russian citizens and 14 Russian corporations that fall under new sanctions imposed over Russia’s foreign policy.

“The main objective of this federal law is to defend the economic interests and security of the Russian Federation, its territorial integrity and the rights and freedoms of its citizens, from unfriendly actions of the USA and other foreign states that impose political or economic sanctions against the Russian Federation, its citizens and companies or any other activities aimed at destabilizing Russia’s politics or economy,” reads the freshly approved bill.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And so, the escalation continues, essentially due to the US government punishing Russia for things it has not done, like allegedly annexing Crimea, which never actually happened.

I hate the way trade wars can escalate into shooting wars, which the Presidents of both countries claim that they do not want, but right now, it looks like a question of when, rather than if, we are looking at a military confrontation between the two.

I cannot tell you if we are looking at that confrontation in Syria; Iran; Dombass/Ukraine, or elsewhere; but I can feel it coming, and with a certain, particular dark aura of ...inevitability.

WATCH: BORDER PATROL AGENT IN MONTANA DETAINS TWO US CITIZENS BECAUSE THEY SPOKE SPANISH

Last week, near the US border with Canada, an incident took place at a convenience store gas station in the small town of Havre, Montana that has garnered national attention, thanks to a video posted to social media.

Ana Suda and Mimi Hernandez ran what should have been a quick late night errand to buy milk and eggs, as many Americans have. After getting in line, the errand took a turn for the worse. The American Civil Liberties Union is now looking into the incident that transpired.

Suda and Hernandez, who are both fluent Spanish speakers as well as U.S. citizens, unsurprisingly and legally conversed with each other in Spanish while waiting in line. Their exchange of words caught the ears of a nearby uniformed Border Patrol agent who interrupted and eventually detained the women.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Having a second language in this country is always a blessing, and keeps the brain sharp.

But the agent should apologise to these women; having a 2nd language should never be construed as a crime, particularly when they have shown their ID, which has been shown to be legitimate.

There is compelling evidence that the devices we’ve placed in young people’s hands are having profound effects on their lives - and making them seriously unhappy.

In the period since, various former Facebook founders and Silicon Valley sicophants have had their 'come to Jesus' moments, recognizing and accepting that what they have created is indeed changing behaviors... and not for the better.

DIGITAL TIME-TRACKING SYSTEMS ARE DRAINING WORKER PAY

The days of the soul-sucking manual punch clock are over. Digital systems now use things like facial recognition to monitor when a worker arrives and has finished for the day. Combined with certain legal ambiguities, the software that’s replaced the 19th century technology is helping some employers chisel away at workers’ hourly pay.

This so-called wage theft is a problem for many healthcare workers, drivers, and food-service and factory employees, according to a study by Elizabeth Tippett, associate professor at the University of Oregon School of Law, published in the American Business Law Journal. An earlier report from the Economic Policy Institute found that wage theft in the U.S. may account for more than $15 billion each year.

How digital wage theft works

Tippett’s study of 330 cases litigated in state and federal courts found three main types of digital wage theft:

Investigators Admit Victims in Texas Shooting Could’ve Been Killed by Police Fire

The Messiah Is Here

Excellent piece covering the last couple of weeks in the Mideast.
Pretty well sums it up! Trump and Putin in Netanyahu's pocket.

The arrival of Benjamin Netanyahu on that day was a heaven-sent gift for Putin. Here was the man who could call upon the US Senate, who can deal with the US President, and now he came in person, Mr World Jewry personified, supporting the Russian narrative of history

Netanyahu repaid his host by a missile strike upon Syria, almost right away. This is a standard Israeli procedure: upon any high-level meeting with the Russians, bomb their allies, so they would know who is more important. They bombed Syria while Russian Defence Minister Shoygu’s jet was still in flight from Moscow to Tel Aviv.
Putin swallowed it, and promised to refrain from supplying S-300 to Syria, despite his Chief of Staff’s words.
