‘Best of bad options’: US has plan to strike N. Korea nuclear sites with B-1 bombers, reports say

The US reportedly has a plan for a preemptive strike on North Korean missile sites with bombers stationed in Guam, should Donald Trump order it. It is apparently viewed as “the best of all bad options” amid mounting tensions between the states.

An attack by Rockwell B-1 Lancer supersonic heavy bombers from Andersen Air Force Base in the US territory of Guam makes up a major part of the plan, senior acting and retired military officials told NBC news.

“Of all the military options … [President Donald Trump] could consider, this would be one of the two or three that would at least have the possibility of not escalating the situation,” retired Admiral James Stavridis, former Supreme Allied Commander Europe and an NBC News analyst, said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How in the name of heaven can Admiral James Stavridis make this claim with a straight face?!?

Apparently, he and I have a very different definition of "escalation."

And what does he expect China to do, if President Trump orders this attack?!? Sit by with hands folded, and sing "Kumbyah"?!?

I don't think so.

And as someone who lives on a first strike target on Oahu, call me just a little nervous to see this escalation of tension with North Korea and China.

UN War Crimes Prosecutor Quits Commission After Unable To Frame, Prosecute Assad – Blames Russia

An international war crimes prosecutor has resigned from her position on the U.N.’s Investigative Panel into human rights abuses in Syria over her frustration regarding the perceived impotence of the commission and the lack of ability to prosecute war criminals. Essentially, Carla Del Ponte is resigning because she and her panel have not been able to overcome Russian objections to framing Bashar al-Assad for crimes committed by America’s terrorists.

SMOKING GUN! Secret Memo From David Brock (Soros-Funded Media Matters) Implicates Google And Facebook In Takedown Of Trump And Right Wing Blogosphere

We in the right wing blogosphere discuss among ourselves, and while we are specific that we have been the targets of liberal weenie Silicon Valley giants Google and fascistbook facebook over the past several months, we have been unable to prove it. Right now we have a smoking gun, hard proof, if not evidence.

Below is Brock’s confidential memo. Pay specific attention to Page 12, “Collaborating with social media.” I believe the word “collaborating” should be changed to “conspiring.”

I also think that this raises significant antitrust and First Amendment concerns and begs for a class action lawsuit, and that George Soros should be arrested for sedition and his assets frozen.

David Brock, the seasoned liberal operative and Clinton loyalist who started Media Matters, huddled with more than 100 donors (within hours of President Trump’s inauguration) at the swanky Turnberry Isle Resort in Aventura, Fla. to map out how Democrats will “kick Donald Trump’s ass.”

Indirect Imperial Butchery: America’s Disturbing Plan to Privatize the Longest War

As President Donald Trump vents his frustration with the United States' "losing" strategy in Afghanistan, the "notorious mercenary" and Blackwater founder Erik Prince has seized the moment to offer his favored alternative: privatize the war.

The plan, this literal colonialism, would be very similar to Blackwater’s approach in Iraq, where the private contractors had significant influence on US policy. It will potentially open the door to deadly abuses and murders by unaccountable forces, like those seen in Iraq.

Ronald Neumann, who served as the US Ambassador to Afghanistan from 2005 to 2007, has echoed these concerns in an interview with mainstream media: "There's a bad record of contractors and human rights abuses. There's no legal structure to govern this."

German Bombshell Bestseller Exposing CIA Media Control Blocked in US (Ulfkotte)

The English translation of German journalist Udo Ulfkotte’s best-selling book, Gekaufte Journalisten (Bought Journalists) appears to have been suppressed throughout North America and Europe. On May 15, 2017 Next Revelation Press, an imprint of US-Canadian-based publisher Tayen Lane, released the English version of Bought Journalists, under the title, Journalists for Hire: How the CIA Buys the News.

Tayen Lane has since removed any reference to the title from its website. Correspondingly indicates the title is “currently unavailable,” with opportunities to purchase from independent sellers offering used copies for no less than $1309.09. The book’s subject matter and unexplained disappearance from the marketplace suggest how powerful forces are seeking to prevent its circulation.

UN Envoy Haley Heads to Vienna to Challenge Iran’s Nuclear Deal Compliance

While most of the Trump Administration opposes the president’s efforts to come up with some pretext for withdrawing from the P5+1 nuclear deal with Iran, Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley has appeared to be on board with the idea, even declaring Iran in violation of the deal in June, shortly before President Trump grudgingly admitted they were in compliance.

IAEA inspectors continue to confirm Iran’s compliance with the P5+1 deal
President Trump has suggested he’s going to claim a violation next time, and Haley is reportedly planning to visit the IAEA in Vienna later this month, with the visit expected to focus on Iranian compliance. The IAEA has affirmed Iran remains in compliance monthly since the deal went into effect.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is a brilliant demonstration of Ms. Haley serving her Israeli masters by attempting to destroy the P5+1 accord with Iran, as a prelude to a US war against it.

If one takes a look at her bio Biography of Ambassador Nikki Haley, you will notice that she does have a BS accounting, not nuclear energy or nuclear weapons.

She is probably the most completely scientifically unqualified American President Trump could have possibly chosen to attempt to pick holes in what the IAEA has continued, in its scientific capabilities, to claim about Iran completely complying with the P5+1 agreement.

Please remember; Israel would like nothing better than the extermination of its alleged existential enemy in the Middle East, Iran; but only with American blood and American money.

The general concern over police spying has been addressed vigorously by the Los Angeles public for many years. As I covered in early 2015, public concern heightened even further when the LAPD acquired drones from the Seattle PD and began to discuss guidelines for implementation.

An organization called Stop LAPD Spying Coalition was formed specifically to document their resistance to secret drone surveillance. The group condemned the police commission as “an affront to the principles of democracy,” after the commission closed a session to the public and refused to allow comment on police proposals.

What appears to be absent, according to this new report, is the previously explicit deference given to “public acceptance,” now stressing their intention to push ahead with “approval from a high-ranking department official” under “narrow and prescribed uses.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The problem with drones is, they can, and most likely will, be weaponised,as we have seen in Afghanistan and Iraq, and God only knows with what.

LAPD has a not necessarily stellar reputation for observing human rights:

Recent LAPD controversies have officials in damage-control mode

But the temptation to outfit these drones with everything but the kitchen sink may prove impossible to defeat; and therein lies the problem. The potential to impose draconian control of a city's population, through fear of massive retaliation through the use of such weapons, for the slightest legal infraction, may prove irresistible for the LAPD.

A local official revealed on Tuesday that a network of fake companies based in Jordan has been established in order to buy Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank for Jewish settlers, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed has reported. The settlers, it is claimed, are from the settlement of Amona, which Israel also regarded as illegal; and evacuated earlier this year.

According to the neighbourhood head in Silwad, located to the east of Ramallah, a Jordanian MP is involved. Abdul-Rahman Saleh added that these companies pay high prices for the land, up to 60,000 Jordanian Dinars for each dunam (quarter of an acre), whereas the market rate would be around 2,000 Dinars. Saleh said that some of the Palestinians travelled to Jordan to be paid the money.

After a review of the companies in question, he explained, they denied that they are buying land for Israeli settlers. However, he stressed that they have a history of buying real estate in Jerusalem on behalf of Israelis.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please remember; Zionists do not want peace with the Palestinians, but they want territory, and by any means necessary.

In order to understand the impact of this desire, take a look at what Zionist Israelis look to establish: Eretz Israel, or Greater Israel, from the Nile to the Euphrates. Look at how much of other countries will have to have portions of them gobbled up by Israel to accomplish that.

Devastating Toll of Hunger on US School Children

Hunger is a growing problem for US children and increasingly affects their performance in school, making it more difficult for them to focus on their classes or do homework. It also contributes to behavior and discipline problems.

This was the finding of a report issued last week by the anti-hunger charity Share Our Strength, based on a survey of 500 low-income parents and their teenage children in public schools. Some 325 teachers were also interviewed. “Low-income” was defined as at or below 185 percent of the official poverty line, or $45,417 a year for a family of four.

Among children in low-income families, 59 percent said they had gone to school hungry. In the richest country in the world, with the largest concentration of billionaires, one in six children faces hunger, some 13 million in all.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is so horrifically, morally wrong on so many levels, I hardly know where to speak. And yet, local and national politicians seem pathologically impotent to fix the problem.

Kids need proper nutrition to be able to learn; that's just a science fact.

The CIA and the Pentagon have not Ended Their Support to Islamist/ Wahhabi Terror Groups in Syria

BP: According to the Washington Post, U.S. President Donald Trump has decided to end the CIA’s covert program to arm and train moderate Syrian rebels battling the government of Bashar al-Assad. What’s your assessment of this move?

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, it appears that absolutely nothing has really changed in Syria, with regard to the US arming the jihadists there, even though it was alleged that President Trump ordered this practice stopped last month.

Trump Ends Covert Aid to Syrian Rebels Trying to Topple Assad

It seems that the CIA is absolutely not listening to the White House on this issue, and if, in fact, what Mr. Papadopolous is saying is true, it would seem that President Trump needs to yank CIA Director Pompeo's chain right now, and very severely, on this issue.

Is America Trying to Start a World War? This Is How It Would Happen

Last Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump signed new sanctions into law against Russia, Iran, and North Korea. The legislation was supported so overwhelmingly in Congress that President Trump’s ability to veto the legislation was rendered completely ineffective.

Even anti-interventionist Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard voted in favor of the bill, once again proving that Republicans and Democrats always find common ground when it comes to beating the drums of war against sovereign nations who have taken very little unwarranted hostile action — if any — towards the United States.

But these are just sanctions, not acts of war, right? There’s nothing wrong with economically bullying other countries into submission over non-compliance with the current global order, right?

Not quite.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears to me that those in the bowels of power, in the Unhinged, Surveilled States of America, are looking for some war - any war - to happen ahead of the complete financial collapse this country is looking at experiencing, most likely, relatively soon.

Why it could take months for the US to get ready for war with North Korea

The US military isn't in any position right now to strike North Korea with the kind of campaign that would be needed to bring battlefield success and would need weeks, if not months, to sort out the logistics, analysts say.
Mark Hertling, a retired US Army general and CNN analyst, said the tens of thousands of US civilians, many of them military dependents, would first need to be evacuated from South Korea.

"How do you get the families off the peninsula? You have to do that first," he said.
The US would also need to add to its forces in the region in what Hertling called "a reinforcement of shooters." These would include US Navy ships and submarines armed with cruise missiles, plus Air Force bombers that could operate out of bases in Japan or Guam, he said.

"Some of these are in places in the region, but not enough to decapitate North Korea in terms of their artillery," Hertling said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF Kim Jong Un actually decides on a first strike against American assets (or elements in his military decide for him that this is to be done), the US government may well not have "months" to prepare.

Gazan travelers face new security restrictions from Israel

Restrictions include a ban on laptop computers, hard-shell suitcases and toiletries; restrictions imposed due to security concerns, but exceptions to be handled 'case by case.'

New Israeli restrictions on Palestinians exiting the Gaza Strip, including a ban on laptop computers, hard-shell suitcases and even shampoo and toothpaste, have further disrupted travel for the few who are allowed to cross the border into Israel.

Israel is citing unspecified security concerns as the reason for forcing engineers, journalists, business people and human rights workers to leave their electronic work tools behind.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These new restrictions have absolutely nothing to do with security, and everything to do with Tel Aviv's making travel from Gaza even more miserable than it already is.

Israeli army buying local cannons to sidestep international ban on cluster bombs

The Israeli army will soon put into use new artillery cannons purchased from local defense company Elbit rather than a German firm over concerns that the latter would restrict the cannons from firing cluster bombs.

The use of cluster bombs is banned by an international treaty signed by more than 100 countries, including Germany, because of the high rate of civilian casualties and injuries associated with them. According to a now-retired Israel Defense Forces officer familiar with the matter, Israel was concerned that the Germans would not give the army the “complete independence” it sought in the use of the cannons. In light of this, the Defense Ministry recommended purchasing Israeli cannons, without inviting bids.

The South Korean firm Hanwha Techwin was also approached but ultimately rejected because the cannons it manufactures are semi-automatic, while the Artillery Corps wants an automatic weapon that has a faster firing rate and requires a smaller team to operate.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When left unexploded, and infants or toddlers try to play with them, these cluster munitions will tear tiny children into shreds; but for the IDF, when it comes to Palestinian infants and toddlers, of course, that doesn't matter.

The Sly Effort to Criminalize the BDS Movement in the U.S.

What would you do if you were Palestinian? In 1998, Ehud Barak, then in the running to become Israel’s next prime minister, said that if he were a young Palestinian he “would have entered one of the terrorist organizations and fought from there”—a statement that became a flashpoint in the campaign (which Barak went on to to win). Of course the moral problems with killing innocents are obvious, which is one reason terrorism is seldom effective as a political tactic. Yet the fact that Barak’s candor didn’t sink his political career suggests an underlying Israeli understanding of why Palestinians fight to retain their land.

But if you don’t want to kill random Israelis, what avenues of struggle for Palestinian independence are available? In the occupied West Bank, peaceful protests against Israeli land seizures typically are met with tear gas, skunk spray, rubber bullets, and arrests. The United States generally shields Israel from UN criticism.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The BDS movement must be allowed to continue, because economic pressure is the only peaceful language Israelis understand.

Western Governments Still Eyeing Libyan ‘Prize’

More than six years after the US-led "liberation" of Libya, that North African country remains an open wound symbolizing the abject failure of US and European interventionist foreign policy.

The obsession of the US neocons, whether Democrat or Republican, for "regime change" and other frivolous foreign military interventions has been consistently and eloquently criticized by the likes of Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC), Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) and not least by former Congressman Ron Paul, to name but a handful.

Since our last Libya report of 27th July over a week ago, the ceasefire "brokered" by French President Macron at his Paris Summit with Libyan National Army head Khalifa Belqasim Haftar and UN-backed prime minister, Fayez al-Sarraj is in reality nowhere to be found.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Libyan people need to determine their own destiny, and this should not be manipulated by any outside national forces, period, end of discussion.

What happened to them, after Ghaddafi was assassinated by Western forces, was utterly criminal.

Lockheed Sees Surge in Interest in Missile Defense Over North Korea Tensions

Several times a week, US officials threaten military action against North Korea. Even on days when they don’t media reports of tensions with North Korea continue the narrative that a huge war could erupt at any moment.

All these rumors of war are a big windfall for the Pentagon’s number one arms supplier, Lockheed Martin, as they are reporting that the surge in talk about North Korea’s missiles is leading to a surge in interest in their missile defense systems.

On the one hand, the reliability of any missile defense system is questionable under even optimal conditions, as evidenced by US failures. On the other hand, those Lockheed systems are very expensive, and have a really good profit margin on them.

Not possible to go there anymore? But then he adds … “third rail.” He should have added the word “comfortably” – it's not possible to go there comfortably, without putting oneself at risk. By that he signals premature defeat: The Jews have won on this and we have to allow them their victory. It's too late to do anything about it. The price exacted is too high. By calling it “third rail” he's dubbing it too dangerous, too highly charged for any sensible man to approach.

The two faces of Rumsfeld

Randeep Ramesh

Friday 9 May 2003 03.48 EDT
First published on Friday 9 May 2003 03.48 EDT
Donald Rumsfeld, the US defence secretary, sat on the board of a company which three years ago sold two light water nuclear reactors to North Korea - a country he now regards as part of the "axis of evil" and which has been targeted for regime change by Washington because of its efforts to build nuclear weapons.

Mr Rumsfeld was a non-executive director of ABB, a European engineering giant based in Zurich, when it won a $200m (£125m) contract to provide the design and key components for the reactors. The current defence secretary sat on the board from 1990 to 2001, earning $190,000 a year. He left to join the Bush administration.

The reactor deal was part of President Bill Clinton's policy of persuading the North Korean regime to positively engage with the west.

Never Forget: The Nukes N. Korea is Threatening to Use on America CAME FROM AMERICA

In fact, the only thing that makes North Korea a threat is their nuclear capability — made possible by the Clinton and Bush administrations.

These two administrations played key roles in helping the late Kim Jong-Il develop North Korea’s nuclear prowess from the mid 1990’s onwards.
Former US Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld was on the board of technology giant ABB when it won a deal to supply North Korea with two nuclear power plants.

According to the 2003 report from SWI, the Swiss-based ABB told swissinfo that Rumsfeld was involved with the company in early 2000, when it netted a $200 million (SFr270million) contract with Pyongyang.

The ABB contract was to deliver equipment and services for two nuclear power stations at Kumho, on North Korea’s east coast.

However, Rumsfeld was simply taking the baton from the Clinton administration, who, in 1994, agreed to begin replacing North Korea’s domestically built nuclear reactors with light water reactors.

Attorneys for Staff Sgt. Robert Bales, the serviceman convicted in 2013 of killing 16 Afghans in the worst U.S. military massacre since Vietnam, are expected to raise the soldier’s use of mefloquine, also known by the brand name Lariam, before or during his deployment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Hey, as long as the drug manufacturers are making money, no one inside Big Pharma gives a damn about potential side effects which could cause a patient taking that drug, to go absolutely psychotic.

This happened to both Australian and Canadian Vets, forced to take this medication:

Veterans' families want answers over forces use of mefloquine

Australian Veterans say report on anti-Malaria drug mefloquine downplays side effects.

These horrific side effects also happened to UN Peacekeepers in Rwanda, in what may have been an illegal - and badly supervised- trial of the drug.

FBI agents conducted a predawn raid of Paul Manafort’s home

In other words, this raid was done to bully the target and his family. Appointing Jeff Sessions was Trump's biggest mistake and probably a fatal one!

The significance of the records seized from the home isn’t clear, according to the Post. But most of the documents were already in the hands of Congress, which means the raid may have been to send a message to Manafort that he should not expect any courtesies from special counsel Robert Mueller’s team. “If the FBI wanted the documents, they could just ask [Manafort] and he would have turned them over,” an adviser close to the White House told the Post.

When one strips away the lies about central banks' "inflation and employment" mandates and focuses on what they really do - which is to keep asset prices artificially supported and volatility suppressed - the motive behind virtually every central bank act becomes readily apparent: preserve (and increase, if possible) confidence in the market and economy, while saying anything and everything that helps achieve this, or in other words, lie but don't get caught.
Today, thanks to the FT, we have proof of precisely this, in what may be the first recorded instance of a central bank openly lying in an attempt to preserve market stability... and getting caught.

On Tuesday, the Bank of England admitted that the UK government failed to find enough investors to fully cover its its 1914 War Loan, and was forced to turn to the central bank to help plug a deficit of more than £100m in the fundraising. However, it did so only after it lied to the public that the bond was oversubscribed:

Webmaster's Commentary:

Lies by the financial community never end, because they are engineered to "paper over" a system so delicate and fragile that complete economic collapse is only a minor hiccup away, most of the time.

Leaked Media Matters memo details impeachment plans for Trump

A confidential memo from Media Matters founder David Brock that was obtained by The Washington Free Beacon lays out how he intends to use his other far-left organizations to reverse Trump’s presidency.

According to the 44-page single-spaced memo, Brock intends to employ his American Bridge super PAC to take down the president “through impeachment.”

“No other progressive organization has the resources and assets that American Bridge has amassed over the past several election cycles to hold Trump, his administration, and the politicians accountable,” the confidential memo states.

“Only Bridge stands ready with staff already hired, Trump’s web of business ties mapped out, and a massive video archive at our fingertips,” it continues.

“The right will bolster Trump aggressively and deceptively. The campaign to stop him must be nonstop. At American Bridge, it has already begun.”

12 Ways The Southern Poverty Law Center Is A Scam To Profit From Hate-Mongering

What makes the hate list of the Southern Poverty Law Center different from the “burn book” a high school queen bee keeps in the 2004 movie “Mean Girls”? Answer: not much. The burn book was a compilation of insults, gossip, and rumors intended to repel the diva’s “enemies,” label everybody, and keep herself on top of the heap.

The SPLC uses its list of designated hate groups in much the same way: to manipulate the lives of others, smear reputations, control personal relationships, and reap the spoils. The dynamic is the same, whether played on the adolescent scene or in the political arena. Both lists serve mostly as power-mongering tools.
