Hurricane Irma now Category 5 storm

Southwest Florida is in Irma's cone of concern this morning, and preparations should be taken now for the possibility of a now-Category 5 hurricane's impact.

Florida Declares State Of Emergency As Category 4 Hurricane Irma Barrels Straight For Miami

With Florida already bracing for a hit from Hurricane Irma, which according to some models may attain "monster" Category 5 winds as it nears land prompting locals to store up on everything from water to food to gas and various other housing supplies, late on Monday afternoon Florida Gov. Rick Scott declared a state of emergency ahead of potential landfall, just hours after the governor of Puerto Rico did the same.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Irma is a Cat 5 as of this morning.

World's largest firefighting aircraft grounded by U.S. gov't

More than 50 large wildfires are scorching land this morning across the western U.S. But a new firefighting tool is sitting idle in an airport hangar in California because the U.S. Forest Service refuses to let it fly.

The converted Boeing 747 jet, nicknamed the SuperTanker, can drop almost twice as much fire retardant as the largest airtanker currently in service.

"We're the very largest in the world -- there's nobody out there that comes close," said Jim Wheeler. His company, Global SuperTanker, turned a 747-400 series passenger jet -- one of the biggest in the sky -- into the world's largest fire extinguisher.

"We can drop a line of retardant about three kilometers long, about a mile-and-a-half," Wheeler told CBS News correspondent Mark Strassmann, as the plane performed a test run in Colorado last fall.

A Word To The Wise — Geoffrey B. Higginbotham Major General, USMC (Ret.)

“If you are paid $25.00 an hour to show up to a rally to “counter” the other party using physical force and violence, you are not a “counter protestor.” You are a mercenary.

There is no need for further debate on this. You were paid to attack someone you don’t know for reasons that you couldn’t care enough about to go there for free. You did your “job” and collected your check and your reimbursement of expenses. You’re a mercenary.

Not a Patriot. Not a Social Justice Warrior. Not a Defender of Freedom or Liberty. Not an upholder of Truth or Justice. None of those things you claim to be. You are a mercenary.

And mercenaries are not lawful combatants and deserve whatever comes their way at the hands of the people they are attacking.

Dramatic Photos Of Record-Setting Wildfire Above Downtown Los Angeles

On Sunday California Governor Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency for Los Angeles County as the La Tuna wildfire encroached on L.A. and burned eerily on the skyline just north of downtown, keeping nervous residents on the alert as homes and business were threatened. What is now being reported as the largest brush fire in Los Angeles history began in Burbank on Friday, but the cause is still under investigation.

Over the weekend a mandatory evacuation order was issued for more than 700 homes in Los Angeles, Burbank and Glendale - the order has since been lifted as firefighters made gains after brief showers hit the area. La Tuna has already burned over 7000 acres and destroyed multiple homes.

Hurricane Irma strengthens to a Category 5 storm

Hurricane Irma strengthened into a monstrous Category 5 storm early Tuesday as it plowed toward the Greater Antilles and southern Florida, officials said.

Its maximum wind speeds were 175 mph and forecasts suggested it would strike Florida and the Gulf of Mexico this weekend, the Washington Post reported.

World War 3? The United States And North Korea Stand On The Brink Of A Nuclear War

After North Korea successfully tested a hydrogen bomb on Sunday, U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis warned that the United States is more than capable of “the total annihilation of a country”. Unfortunately, the North Koreans may have already gotten to the point where they are capable of the same thing. Just a handful of North Korean nukes could kill millions of people and render the largest cities in South Korea or Japan completely uninhabitable, and so a nuclear war with the North Koreans should be avoided at all costs. Sadly, global events seem to be relentlessly pulling us in that direction.

Document Surfaces Showing CIA’s Plans to Infiltrate Academia & Change University/College Curriculums

There’s no doubt about it: three letter agencies like the NSA, FBI and CIA and the ones we don’t yet know about are full of great people who want nothing but the best for their fellow human beings. People join these agencies because they have good hearts, and want to see the world thrive in a state of peace, equality, abundance and freedom. That being said, the “disastrous rise of misplaced power” to which President Eisenhower referred when referencing the military industrial complex, has taken a hold of these agencies, which now comprise what’s known as the Deep State. The Deep State is a covert network of powerful and influential people who continue to manipulate, lie, and deceive the public for their own interests.

DPRK H-Bomb: Chinese President Says ‘Dark Shadow Looms’ Over the World

After half a century of peace, a “dark shadow looms” over the world, following an announcement of the successful detonation of a hydrogen bomb by North Korea, according to a statement from Chinese President Xi Jinping.
While addressing the annual meeting of the BRICS economic alliance, Chinese President Xi Jinping — while not directly referring to the Sunday morning nuclear explosion — made note of an increasing unease in the region and around the globe.

In a tacit acknowledgement that Pyongyang's continued weapon and missile development was destabilizing hopes for nuclear non-proliferation, Xi spoke of using negotiation and dialog to put out "the flame of war," cited by The Guardian.

Noting that the recent nuclear detonations had "cast a dark shadow over the world," the Chinese president acknowledged that, "People around the world want peace and cooperation, not conflict or confrontation."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Kim Jung Un's nuclear testing, coupled with his testing of long and medium-range missiles, has to be, for China's President Xi Jingping, the geopolitical equivalent of Kim's "relieving himself" in the Chinese President's face, quite publicly, yet all the while declaring that it's raining.

The next major Chinese Communist meeting to which the above article alludes, happens on 18 October of this year:

Chin a has set October 18 for its next Communist Party Congress: here's what to expect

IF, in fact, the US and South Korea do not haul off with a decap strike immediately (probably preceded by a false flag, to be blamed against North Korea), Xi has precisely 44 days in which to turn North Korea around on its missile and nuclear tests before this critical meeting.

Kim had to know when this upcoming meeting was taking place, and that the timing of this last nuclear test could very much test the credibility of President Xi with his peers; apparently, he didn't give a damn if that happened.

Labor Day 2017: American workers looted by .01% lying War Criminals: $6.5 trillion ‘lost’ by Dept of Defense as political ‘leaders’ & corporate media withhold $1,000,000 per US household from monetary reform and public banking

*hyperlinks/videos live at source*

“The only thing new in the world is the history you don’t know.” – President Harry Truman, Plain Speaking: An Oral Biography of Harry S. Truman (1974) by Merle Miller, pg. 26.

Labor Day is the celebration of American workers’ limited victories over oligarchs to raise wages and working conditions above conditions of work animals. Because US .01% oligarchs control corporate media (including public education texts), most Americans are unaware that “leaders” “celebrate” Labor Day in lip-service only while engaged in the ongoing business of psychopathically looting American workers in the annual trillions.

The above factual claims require zero belief, but is the obvious conclusion from the objective and independently-verifiable data as this article explains, documents, and proves.

DOCUMENT SURFACES SHOWING CIA’S PLANS TO INFILTRATE ACADEMIA & CHANGE UNIVERSITY/COLLEGE CURRICULUM

The “disastrous rise of misplaced power” to which President Eisenhower referred when referencing the military industrial complex, has taken a hold of these agencies, which now comprise what’s known as the Deep State. The Deep State is a covert network of powerful and influential people who continue to manipulate, lie, and deceive the public for their own interests.

Oh, by the way, it’s safe to assume that the Deep State also includes, as mentioned above, the agencies we don’t yet know about. We know this from looking at history: The National Security Agency (NSA) was founded in 1952, its existence was hidden until the mid 1960s; Another great example is the National Reconnaissance Office, which was founded in 1960 but remained completely secret for three decades.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why am I not surprised at this move?!?

I would not be surprised to have seen US alphabet soup agencies in major acts of radically revising textbooks on journalism to show the consequences of "bad journalistic decisions" in actually tell the truth, when the truth damaged the Deep State narrative to the point of collapsing it all together. And whether these examples were true, or not, really didn't matter. Remember that prophetic statement from George Orwell's "1984":

"Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past."

So, because of my Christian Pacifist Activist stance (meaning: I am constantly exhorting my government to resolve its geopolitical issues with moral, win/win negotiations rather than through wars), my critical thinking capabilities and my insistence on logical answers which benefit We the People, I, and people like me, are now "the principal villains" to my government?!?

If, in fact this is true, the Unhinged, Surveilled States of Amerika are moving in a terribly dystopian, and dark, direction, and I fear greatly for those children who are growing up in this "new normal".

College students “triggered” into a state of total hysteria over the spotting of a banana peel (seriously)

Truth Revolt recently reported that when a student was either unable or too lazy to find a garbage can and threw a banana peel in a tree on the campus at Ole Miss, he inadvertently unleashed a firestorm of controversy. After discarding the peel, Ryan Swanson went on his way, blissfully unaware of the consequences of his thoughtless (but pretty innocent) actions.

When Alpha Kappa Alpha president, Makala McNeil, who is the current leader of a traditionally black sorority, spotted the offensive peel, all hell broke loose.

Apparently inferring that there was some racial element to the placement of the banana peel in a tree, McNeil and some of her friends were so upset that a scheduled Greek Life retreat was immediately cancelled. (Yes, you read that correctly.)

Martin Luther King Jr. – The Power of Non-violence

As an astute observer of history I can’t help but recognize that there is a pattern playing out again before our very eyes that we have seen before. A series of events that seam to be pushing the country ever further apart. This pattern is one of division and control. As I have said many times on my radio broadcast, the most effective way to bring this country down is to rip it apart from the inside. To have it tear itself apart piece by piece via the citizens themselves. It is for this reason I have taken part of an interview Martin Luther King Jr. did as well as parts from two speeches he gave and put them together so you can all hear from Reverend King himself about the power of non-violence in activism. His words echo through time from the 1960s straight through to today. We would all be wise to pay heed to what Reverend King had to say.

Wasserman Schultz Aide Pleads ‘Not Guilty’ As Prosecution Drops Hints About A Broader Probe Of Awan

Former U.S. House IT aide Imran Awan pleaded not guilty Friday to federal charges that he and his wife lied on an application for a home equity loan, as prosecutors dropped hints about a broader probe of Awan and his family members related to their computer work in recent years for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) and a series of other Democratic lawmakers in the Congress.

A federal judge also agreed to return $9,000 seized from Awan when he was arrested at Dulles Airport in late July, as the feds and Awan’s legal team agreed to ensure that the money is used only to pay for the cost of Awan’s legal defense.

While the existing case against Awan and his wife, Hina Alvi, is related to whether they did not tell the truth on a loan application to a Capitol Hill credit union – documents in the matter again suggested at a larger investigation, possibly relating to more than just matters of bank fraud.

Red Cross Admits It Doesn't Know How Hurricane Harvey Donation Money Is Spent

Though the Red Cross has a historical reputation for providing relief to victims of natural disasters and other emergencies, the organization’s practices have tarnished its name over the last few years.

Amid the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti in 2010, the Red Cross reportedly accepted nearly $500 million in relief money but built only six homes with the funds even though they claimed they had provided homes to 130,000 people. These failures prompted some Haitians to advise the world against donating funds to the Red Cross.

The organization was accused of diverting resources and supplies to bolster its public image during Hurricane Sandy. As an investigation by NPR and ProPublica found:

Since private insurers typically don’t provide personal flood insurance, all but $500 million of that will fall to the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s National Flood Insurance Program, or NFIP.

Can the BRICS hold back US war with North Korea?

As Russia and its BRICS partners convene this week, the organization faces a momentous test of its global influence: can it hold the line and insist on a diplomatic solution to the alarming US standoff with North Korea?
The ninth annual summit of the BRICS – Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa – comes at a critical time. Ahead of the two-day conference opening Sunday in China’s southern port city of Xiamen, Russian President Vladimir Putin published an article warning that the North Korea crisis is “on the brink of large-scale conflict.”

It just goes to show how precarious the situation has become and why President Putin’s warning about the region being on the brink of war is apt. The risk of misunderstanding is grave and increasing with each round of bellicose exchange.

Putin is absolutely right. The only way back from the precipice of a nuclear war is for all parties to hold direct dialogue without preconditions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We appear to have an absolutely no-win situation between an intransigent and bellicose Unhinged, Surveilled States of America, and a belligerent, unmoving North Korea.

The three guys, in this geopolitical mess I would call "The Adults in the Room", are Russia's President Putin; Russia's Foreign Ambassador Sergei Lavrov, and China's President Jingping.

And Putin is right; the only way back from the abyss is negotiations with zero preconditions; unfortunately, those in the bowels of US Deep State power in DC, will not see this situation in that way, even though millions of South Koreans will die in such an attack by the US against North Korea.

I wish I could see a scenario where war against North Korea will not take place, but that is pretty darned hard right now.

With this new North Korean detonation, look for the US presstitutes to be shilling that a military strike is the only answer, starting late today or early tomorrow, and hitting hard next week. Watch the number of times commercials aren't running, in order to force-focus the public's attention on this codswallop.

Just please remember the following warning, channeled through my "Inner Cynical Child": US citizens are "sold" wars just like they are sold cars, homes, bicycles, and bug spray. But let's not be buying this time, because we are looking at a potentially cataclysmic war, which may well turn into World War III.

Putin & Xi agree to ‘appropriately deal’ with N. Korea nuclear test – Xinhua

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping have agreed to “appropriately deal” with the recent nuclear test conducted by North Korea, Chinese Xinhua news reports.

"The two leaders agreed to stick to the goal of denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula and keep close communication and coordination to deal with the new situation," the report says.

The presidents met in the southeastern Chinese city of Xiamen for the ninth BRICS summit, which is scheduled for September 3-5.

Korea tested hydrogen bomb that can be mounted on ICBM – state TV
Earlier in the day, the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the North Korean test, adding that in a situation like this, it is essential “to keep composure and to restrain from any acts, which may lead to further escalation of tensions.”

The test is “another example of Pyongyang’s outright disregard” of UN Security Council resolutions and international law, the ministry said in a statement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sounds great, Presidents Putin and Jinping, but, please, what are the concrete steps you are hoping to take to achieve your goal here?!?

A little more elaboration would have been...helpful. But perhaps, they believe they are getting closer to this goal of denukelearising the Koran Peninsula through closed door, private negotiations, which I certainly hope and pray are ongoing.

US Treasury Department to Present to Trump New Sanctions Against North Korea

The US Treasury Department will submit to President Donald Trump a new package of sanctions against North Korea after the latest nuclear test by Pyongyang, the authority's secretary, Steven Mnuchin, said Sunday.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The news about sanctions emerges after US President Donald Trump commented on the reports about the nuclear test, saying Pyongyang's "words and actions continue to be very hostile and dangerous to the United States."

"We have already started with sanctions against North Korea but I am going to draft a sanctions package to send to the president for his strong consideration," Mnuchin told the US Fox News broadcaster.

Mnuchin added that if other countries wanted to do business with North Korea, the United States would not engage in cooperation with them.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sanctions are most generally preludes to war.

It is very important to notice other countries beside North Korea against which the Unhinged, Surveilled States of America has placed sanctions; these countries include Russia; China; and Iran.

I cannot tell you precisely when, but something wicked this way comes, in terms of a very aggressive USSA war trajectory against so many countries, and all at the same time.

Please, as I have said so many times on this blog that I sound like a chipped CD; prepare; plan; and practice what will be necessary to do in the event of a national emergency. Have potable food; water; and extra medications on hand. Only have as much money as you need in the bank to pay your bills. Get your bugout kit ready, and have a plan to connect with your loved ones, should you be apart.

Right now, I counsel patience, preparedness, and taking care of yourself and those you care about with as much ease as is humanly possible, under such conditions.

US, South Korea Consider ‘Effective Military Reponses’ to DPRK’s Nuclear Test

The top military officers of the United States and South Korea have discussed “effective military responses” that could show the military might of the allies in the wake of North Korea’s latest nuclear test on Sunday.

Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) and South Korea’s Gen. Jeong Kyeong-doo discussed on phone the enhancemnet of military cooperation between Seoul and Washington and joint response to North Korea, the Yonhap news agency reported.

The news came after Pyongyang announced it had conducted a test of a hydrogen bomb, which was successful, as no radiation leakage took place in the process. The Japanese NHK broadcaster confirmed the test was successful, adding that no breaches of nuclear materials to the outside occurred.

Webmaster's Commentary:

To the top military officers of the United States and South Korea; how, please are you going to insure these 'effective military responses that could show the military might of the allies' are not perceived as a prelude to war against North Korea?!?

The leading causes of death tend to be the same across the country. A majority of deaths are due to heart disease, followed by cancer and chronic lower respiratory disease. However, some causes of death affect some state residents far more than others.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently released a report, “The Most Distinctive Causes of Death by State, 2001-2010,” detailing causes of death most out of proportion to national rates. In some states, the results are intuitive. In others, unusually common causes of death are much more surprising.

Rohingya beheaded, burned alive in Myanmar: Witnesses

Government forces in Myanmar have beheaded and burned alive Rohingya Muslim civilians, including children, witnesses say, as calls grow to stop the “genocide” against the minority Muslims living in the Buddhist-majority country.

Myanmar’s Rakhine State, where the minority Rohingya are concentrated, has been the scene of violence by the army. Before a military siege was imposed on Rakhine late last year, extremist Buddhists would attack the Muslims.

The Independent cited eyewitnesses in a report on Saturday as giving “horrific accounts of violence and destruction” by Myanmarese soldiers and other unidentified armed groups.

The report cited a man named Abdul Rahman as saying that he had survived a five-hour attack on Chut Pyin Village.

He said a group of Rohingya men had been arrested and detained in a bamboo hut, which was then set on fire.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I never thought, this lifetime, that I would have a legitimate reason to say, "Watch out; here come the Buddhists!!"

Apparently, I have misjudged the potential for viciousness as an expression this ultra-nationalistic "flavor" of Buddhism in Myanmar, as we have witnessed in this ongoing genocide.

The people doing this killing cast an horrific, blood-stained shadow upon their faith, and that shadow may well exist in perpetuity, unless, and until Ang Sang Su Kyi orders these actions to stop against the Rohingya,
IF she has the guts to do it.

If you want to donate money to a charitable organisation, please avoid the Red Cross as though it were the plague!!

The Salvation Army has an excellent reputation for putting contributors' money toward the causes for which it was earmarked.

Also, check with your local religious institutions which have a reputation for getting money where it is needed; you may want to do it through those institutions as well.

But if you can give anything for the victims of Harvey in Texas and Louisiana, please do so; these people have survived a tragedy of Biblical proportions.

Three Dangerous Delusions About Korea

So then, what are the prospects Washington could jump off the hamster wheel and come up with something besides threats and sanctions? The omens are not auspicious. Just before he left the White House, Steve Bannon violated the taboo surrounding Delusion 1: «Until somebody solves the part of the equation that shows me that ten million people in Seoul don't die in the first 30 minutes from conventional weapons, I don't know what you're talking about, there's no military solution here, they got us.» Then he was gone.

De-Dollarization Accelerates: China Readies Yuan-Priced Crude Oil Benchmark Backed By Gold

The world’s top oil importer, China, is preparing to launch a crude oil futures contract denominated in Chinese yuan and convertible into gold, potentially creating the most important Asian oil benchmark and allowing oil exporters to bypass U.S.-dollar denominated benchmarks by trading in yuan, Nikkei Asian Review reports.

The crude oil futures will be the first commodity contract in China open to foreign investment funds, trading houses, and oil firms. The circumvention of U.S. dollar trade could allow oil exporters such as Russia and Iran, for example, to bypass U.S. sanctions by trading in yuan, according to Nikkei Asian Review.

To make the yuan-denominated contract more attractive, China plans the yuan to be fully convertible in gold on the Shanghai and Hong Kong exchanges.

"Appeasement Will Not Work": Trump Responds To North Korea's 6th Nuclear Test

Following remarks from the leaders of South Korea and Japan, President Donald Trump has responded to North Korea's latest "perfect" nuclear test, emphasizing that South Korea's "talk of appeasement will not work," and that Kim Jong Un and his government "only understand one thing!" He added that the nuclear test is an embarrassment...to China.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The question is not what President Trump is saying about this latest nuclear test; the question is, what is he, practically, going to do about it, in concert with other Eastern and Western world leaders?!?

North Korea claims successful test of 'missile-ready' nuclear bomb – live

Boris Johnson has warned there “no easy military solution” to preventing North Korea escalating its nuclear aggression but said all options were still on the table for retaliation after the regime’s nuclear weapons rest.

The foreign secretary said it was not clear how a military response from the West would be possible, given the proximity of the South Korean capital Seoul to the North Korean border.

Any military challenge to Kim Jong-Un’s regime could come at huge cost to civilian lives in South Korea, Johnson said.

“It’s certainly our view that none of the military options are good,” he told reporters after North Korea announced it had tested a powerful hydrogen bomb that could be loaded on to an intercontinental ballistic missile

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word, please: this is not the time for a chest-beating, orangutangian display of military force; it is a time for the "Adults in the Room" for Western and Eastern civilised societies to take stock of what diplomatic solutions they have at their disposal, which can break the stalemate here.

A decap strike on North Korea could well result in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of South Korean citizens, if not worse, when the smoke clears; that is not the price, I would hope, you would find acceptable for regime change in North Korea.

Chinese leadership has stated very clearly, recently, that they will not allow regime change in North Korea; so if there is a military attack against North Korea, the obvious implication from the Chinese is that they will come to North Korea's assistance militarily.

And Mr. President, I feel the need, again, to politely remind you that right now, the US military doesn't have the troop strength; the weaponry; the manufacturing, or the budget to insure a positive outcome in a conventional war against Russia over North Korea.

So if a military attack, in a cost/benefit scenario, will be so undeniably bloody as to be a thoroughly horrible, unusable option, what you are left with, sir is... negotiations.

This is a moment to bring the US, China, North and South Korea, and Japan to the table and hammer out a peace treaty, to replace the armistice and give North Korea free and unfettered, unsanctioned trade with the rest of the world, with the quid pro quo being North Korea's abandonment of its nuclear program.

Also, publicly, you, Secretary of State Tillerson, and Sec Def Mattis, need to at least appear to be on the same page on the issue regarding North Korea's accelerating nuclear weapons program.

Leadership around the world needs to understand that the United States speaks with one voice on this issue, and the the message here is clear, and unambiguous.

Public School Teachers Behind Violent Antifa Group

Public school teachers are behind a leading far-left militant group that is part of the Antifa network that federal officials say is committing “domestic terrorist violence.”

By Any Means Necessary, which has played a key role in riots in Berkeley, Sacramento and elsewhere, has dozens of public school teachers among its members, including among its most prominent leaders.

The FBI and Department of Homeland Security began paying closer attention to Antifa groups in general after BAMN and other extremists started a riot and attacked marchers at a white nationalist rally in Sacramento last July, Politico reported on Friday. The Sacramento violence left at least 10 people hospitalized, several of whom had knife wounds.

One of BAMN’s most prominent organizers is Yvette Felarca, a Berkeley middle school teacher and pro-violence militant. Felarca currently faces charges of inciting a riot for her role in the Sacramento violence.

Washington Is Preparing for Nuclear War in Europe

Amid mounting military and diplomatic tensions between the US and Russia, the German daily Süddeutsche Zeitung reported Friday that the American Congress has taken the first steps toward Washington’s annulling of the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty.

The INF, or Washington Treaty on Mid-range Nuclear Systems, is a bilateral agreement reached between the United States and the Soviet Union on the decommissioning of short- and mid-range missiles (with a range of between 500 and 5,500 miles), and the banning of their production.

The treaty, signed on 8 December 1987 by US President Ronald Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, led to a significant reduction of US nuclear weapons in Europe. The nuclear-armed mid-range Pershing II missiles, whose stationing in Western Europe five years earlier had triggered the largest peace demonstrations to that point in history, were withdrawn.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why in the name of all that's holy, would Putin want to invade the Baltics?!?

The guy is many things, but there two things he isn't, and those are stupid and impulsive.

Here's the info on these drills, scheduled to run from 14 through 20 September of this year:

Russia Plans Huge Zapad 2017 Military Exercises With Belarus

These drills have gone off without a hitch, in years before, so why the hype about this year's Zapad drills?!?

If I were a betting person, I would not bet against some kind of "false flag" created by either NATO and/or the US, then blamed on Russia, as the "trigger incident" to get such a war going.

The Deep Staters in the Unhinged, Surveilled States of America, want to see a war happen, (any war), to precede the collapse of the US economy, and act as a distraction from it.

Magicians do this all the time; in that trade, it is called "misdirection".

Unfortunately, the "misdirection" the US Deep Staters are planning comes with horrific costs in blood and money.

Is U.S. Congress Declaring War on WikiLeaks?

The latest Senate Intelligence Authorization Act (SB 1761), which was released by the committee on August 18 when few senators were in town, is in the nature of a routine document. It notably calls for “more” in terms of both probing and revealing Russian spying and alleged aggression, but that was to be expected due to the current panic over Moscow and its intentions. It will nevertheless almost certainly become law even though few members of congress will actually bother to read any part of it. The bill has already been approved by the Senate Intelligence Committee and will likely go immediately to a vote in the full Senate when that body reconvenes after the August recess. It will almost certainly be approved unanimously.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF Senator Wyden had substituted the word "embarrassment" for the word "damage", he would be bang spot on.

And to answer the question at the top of the article, the short answer is, unequivocally, yes; Congress wants find a way to sidestep, if not eviscerate, the First Amendment just as intensely as it can, so no real truth can ever again compete with the Deep State's agendas and narratives, which many times have absolutely no relationship to the truth of what they are doing.

Anyone reading this remember how Bush lied about "Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction" in order to push American into a war with Iraq, when the real objective was controlling its pipelines, and insure that the only money for which the oil was sold was the US dollar?

This kind of Deep State agenda is consistently ongoing, which is why we appear to be on the brink of war against Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, and God only knows against who else.

The hard truth about what this country has become since 9/11, with the stripping down of the fundamental freedoms and responsibilities accorded us by the Constitution and Bill of Rights;surveillance in every home, cell phone and computer, coupled with these incessant wars for global hegemony, has, many times, been difficult to write about.

But that being said, I will continue to speak out against where I believe my government is not acting in the best interests of We the People, document it as well as I can, and share it on this blog.

But this bill, should it pass with the following language still there, "WikiLeaks and the senior leadership of WikiLeaks resemble a non-state hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors and should be treated as such a service by the United States.”,will conclusively be the death knell for free speech in this country, and open the door for intense prosecution of those who post on information line which does not conform to the Deep State's liking; and that will put this country, and the world, in a very dangerous place indeed.

Fitch Downgrades Venezuela’s Rating to CC, Notes Great Risk of Default

"Fitch Ratings has taken the following rating actions on Venezuela's sovereign ratings: long-term foreign and local currency IDRs downgraded to 'CC' from 'CCC'; senior unsecured debt downgraded to ‘CC’ from ‘CCC’; short-term foreign and local currency IDRs affirmed at 'C'; country ceiling downgraded to 'CC' from 'CCC,'" Fitch said in a statement.
The agency pointed out that the threat of default was caused by the new US sanctions against Venezuela.

"Venezuela's downgrade reflect Fitch's view that a default is probable given the further reduction in financing options for the Government of Venezuela following the imposition of additional sanctions on Venezuela by the US government on Aug. 25, 2017," the statement added.

The sanctions ban US citizens from or entities from a number of financial transactions with the Venezuelan government of the country’s PDVSA oil and gas company.

Turkey's Erdogan Calls Killing of Rohingya in Myanmar Genocide

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that the death of hundreds of Rohingya in Myanmar over the past week constituted a genocide aimed at Muslim communities in the region.

Nearly 400 people have died in fighting that has rocked Myanmar's northwest for a week, new official data showed, making it probably the deadliest bout of violence to engulf the country's Rohingya Muslim minority in decades.

"There is a genocide there. They remain silent towards this... All those looking away from this genocide carried out under the veil of democracy are also part of this massacre," Erdogan said at his ruling AK Party's Eid al-adha celebrations in Istanbul.

The army says it is conducting clearance operations against "extremist terrorists" to protect civilians.

Erdogan, with his roots in political Islam, has long striven to take a position of leadership among the world's Muslim community. He said it was Turkey's moral responsibility to take a stand against the events in Myanmar.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Erdogan is correct in his assessment here; and although he is not a politician for whom I have a great deal of respect, after watching the repression under which the Kurdish Turks have had to live under his watch, he is right to make this statement.

But it is going to take concerted efforts on the part of Myanmar politicians and military, to ratchet the tensions down here. I am quite certain that there have been atrocities on both sides of the conflict. And if the Rohingya Muslim minority are fighting back, it is because they are at the end of their collective rope, at the violence visited upon them by the Myanmar military.

And please note: I am not agreeing with this violence; I am simply stating that I understand how this can happen.

And this morning, we have the following disturbing story, posted at the South China Post On-line:

Rohingya Refugees heeding the Call to Arms, and Returning to Myanmar

And I call out to Aung San Suu Kyi; because of the terrible prosecution against the Myanmar Rohingya by your Buddhist military, they are now ready to take their fight to Naypyidaw, the capital of your state.

So if you do not want a civil war in your country, there need to be cease-fire talks, and immediately, creating an unbreakable assurance the Rohingya will be treated as brother and sister human beings, and not "less than."

The world is watching what is going on in Myanmar, Aung San Suu Kyi: and the world is waiting to know how you will create a peace between both the Rohingya Muslims, and the majority Buddhists.
