A "No-Fly Zone" By Any Other Name - The "ISIL-Free Zone" In Syria

By Brandon Turbeville

As the NATO Article 4 meeting concludes with little or no fanfare and no major decisions made regarding a “no-fly zone” over Syria, many onlookers may take the opportunity to sit back in satisfaction that the meeting was concluded without any announcement of further direct military involvement in Syrian affairs. For many, the lackluster meeting was simply more proof that Turkey and the United States will not attempt a frontal assault on the Middle Eastern country.

Unfortunately, however, the big decision was not made at the NATO Article 4 meeting, it was made bilaterally days before between Turkey and the United States...

Undercover video shows Planned Parenthood official discussing fetal organs used for research

Buying and selling human fetal tissue is illegal in the United States. Federal regulations also prohibit anyone from altering the timing or method of an abortion for the sole purpose of later using the tissue in research.

Planned Parenthood scandal back in the headlines

Planned Parenthood’s Senior Director of Medical Research, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, is on video describing how she has used partial-birth abortion to preserve the organs of babies for research.

Partial-birth abortion has been illegal since 2007.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The next question that must be asked is if women were encouraged to have abortions in order to keep the supply of body parts full.

The Military Will Test a New Terrifyingly Loud Noise Directed Energy Gun

LIPE’s lasers fire extremely short bursts (around a nanosecond, or a billionth of a second) of directed high energy at a target. That target could be on a person, a windshield, or merely a single point in space. The energy, relatively harmless at the LIPE levels, separates electrons and nuclei at the target area to create a blue ball of plasma. Additional pulses of directed laser energy manipulate the ball to make a noise that seems to come from nowhere.

No Cops Around, Man With Concealed Carry Permit STOPS Mass Shooter

A mass shooter in Cincinnati, Ohio was just stopped in his tracks. A 62-year-old gunman took aim and fired on four people, including a 1-year-old boy. People had been looking everywhere for a cop, once the man began harassing a woman. But as the old adage says, “there was no cop around when you needed one.” Instead, a citizen who was armed with a self-defense pistol, and a concealed carry permit saw Thomas McCary arguing with the woman – his sister – around 8 p.m. Sunday night and decided to make sure everything was alright.

NYPD Cops Beat Man in Target Store for Refusing to Identify Himself

New York City police say they held a young man down and beat him in a Target store because he “refused to identify himself” Saturday evening in an incident caught on video. The beating could have been much worse if it was not for the growing crowd of witnesses either recording or yelling at the cops to stop beating him. In fact, more cops came out of nowhere to control the restless crowd, which appeared ready to start pulling officers off the man they were beating.

FLASHBACK - The Atom Spy Case

On June 19, 1953, the President of the United States refused to grant executive clemency to Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. In this refusal, the President stated, “Since its original review proceedings in the Rosenberg case by the Supreme Court of the United States, the courts have considered numerous further proceedings challenging the Rosenberg convictions and the sentences imposed. Within the last two days, the Supreme Court, convened in a special session, has again reviewed a further point which one of the justices felt the Rosenbergs should have an opportunity to present. This morning the Supreme Court ruled that there was no substance to this point. I am convinced that the only conclusion to be drawn from a history of this case is that the Rosenbergs have received the benefit of every safeguard which American justice can provide. There is no question in my mind that their original trial and the long series of appeals constitute the fullest measure of justice and due process of law.

"Nathan Bedford Forrest's Redemption"

By Shane Kastler
As a student of history I have studied many lives from the American Civil War. The one that intrigued me most was the notorious Nathan Bedford Forrest, who was a tremendous cavalry officer for the Confederacy; yet also had a reputation for racism on a massive scale. The marks against Forrest are that he was a slave-trader prior to the war and an early leader in the Ku Klux Klan afterward. The first statement is a fact, the second statement is debated.

After the war ended in 1865, Forrest worked with many former Union soldiers and employed former slaves in his various business ventures. At one point he was investigated by the Federal government's “Freedman's Bureau” to make sure he was complying with the law regarding his black employees. The only complaint the Bureau had of Forrest was that he paid the former slaves higher wages than the government thought they should receive and that Forrest allowed the former slaves to own guns.

Donald Trump: Iran Deal Horrible For U.S., Worse For Israel

Business magnate and 2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump says he is concerned about the potential impacts the Iran nuclear deal could have on America and Israel.

“I think the deal is absolutely horrible for us, but it’s really, really bad for Israel,” he told FOX Business Network’s Cheryl Casone at the grand opening of Trump Wineries in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Donald Trump 'Good Friend of Israel, Unlike President'

Another suckup!

"Donald Trump is a good friend of Israel and, unlike the president, knows how to handle the issue of the Middle East," Sam Nunberg told Arutz Sheva, regarding Trump’s possible run for the presidency.

"Trump is a very close friend of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu," he said.

Trump said in an interview that Trump has always conveyed a clear message to Israel.

“You should be proud of your leader regarding the security interests of the State of Israel,” he added.

Nunberg also commended Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon saying, "he does so much for the safety of Israeli citizens."

Black Students In The U.S. Get Criminalized While White Students Get Treatment

When black and white kids act up or display troubling behavior at schools, teachers and administrators often address it with differing responses split along racial lines, new research shows.

Black students are more likely to be punished with suspensions, expulsions or referrals to law enforcement, a phenomenon that helps funnel kids into the criminal justice system. Meanwhile, white kids are more likely to be pushed into special education services or receive medical and psychological treatment for their perceived misbehaviors, according to a study released last week in the journal Sociology of Education.

Overall, this pattern often leads to the criminalization of young black students and the medicalization of white students.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is insane, and has to stop. Also, medicalizing kids, when what is needed is behaviour therapy, can cause grave consequences for these people down the road. And if you don't believe me, take a look at the following website:

www.ssristories.com

All of America's kids deserve a competitive, first class education. Asia and Scandinavia have incredibly good outcomes, and their kids have terrific scores in math, problem solving, and literature. So why doesn't the US?!?

I hate to say this, but believe absolutely that it is true: there is a real contempt in DC for people who can problem solve, and accurately analyze situations.

Independent thinkers are not encouraged, therefore you see the further dumbing down of our students with the infamous "Common Core" curriculum, which cripples kids' abilities to think logically.

When people are dumbed down and cowed by the ever more imperious state (including "threat assessments" on kids which follow them from pre-school through the 12th grade in some states), the US government believes at can throw any drivel at the American public in the hopes that because they cannot analyze or think critically, what the US government tells them will be accepted without question.

‘The video is not good': Cincinnati braces for footage release in campus cop killing of Sam Dubose

Ohio prosecutor is refusing to release body camera video from the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black man during a traffic stop — but top officials are suggesting that the video disputes the campus police officer’s claims of self-defense.

Officer Ray Tensing, of the University of Cincinnati police department, shot and killed 43-year-old Sam Dubose during a routine traffic stop July 19 near campus.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is not the country I used to believe I lived in, a place of law, tolerance, and true justice.

And when it is the police who are behaving the most lawlessly, with brutal contempt of the citizens (particularly minorities) they allegedly protect, something has gone radically wrong with the American psyche. This cannot, and should not, be tolerated.

‘A sick joke': Cleveland police union fundraises for cop by raffling off gun like one that killed unarmed man

The Cleveland Police Patrolmen’s Association this week defended its plan to raise money for an officer by raffling off a gun similar to one he used to kill an unarmed man.

Cleveland Officer Alan Buford was put on desk duty in March after he shot and killed 18-year-old Brandon Jones while trying to arrest the unarmed man on suspicion of burglary.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The only way this kind of act could be rationalized by the Cleveland PD is through the demonstration of collective mental illness.

Is killing unarmed perps now the norm in Cleveland?!? Do the citizens actually feel more safe, if this has become the norm?!?

Or is any civilian now fair game for this police department, even if they have done nothing wrong?!?

And if this officer is having trouble paying his bills, because he has been re-assigned to desk duty, perhaps he might have considered this outcome before he decided to shoot to kill.

PET FOOD SOLD IN U.S. IS PRODUCED BY SLAVE LABOR IN THAILAND

Feeding a pet in the United States can sometimes mean indirectly feeding the slave trade in Thailand.

An investigation by The New York Times found many leading pet food brands in the U.S., including Iams, Meow Mix and Fancy Feast, buy seafood for their products from Thai Union Frozen Products, Thailand’s largest seafood company.

However, Thai Union owns a cannery, the Songkla Canning Public Company, which gets forage fish from boats that use slave labor. The forage fish, small and cheaply priced, are harvested in the South China Sea, where migrant workers from Cambodia and Myanmar spend years at sea against their will.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Perhaps these American companies need to spend less on advertising, and more on insuring that there is a decent quality of life for the providers of their seafood.

Government of Venezuela Forces Farmers to Hand Over Food

The government of Venezuela is playing Monopoly, but it isn’t the kind with those little plastic hotels.

They’re controlling essential goods like food, and putting the retail establishments of the country out of business.

According to a UK Telegraph report, the government is now forcing farmers and food manufacturers to sell anywhere from 30-100% of their products to the state, as opposed to stores and supermarkets.

There’s a pattern in collapses around the world.

13-minute video: What do you care enough about to create in our/your future, citizen?

*hyperlinks/video live at source*

hat tips: ZenGardener and Mark Passio

“What we care about on a day-to-day basis acts as the driving force of our thoughts and actions. Therefore, Care can be seen as the ultimate Generator of the quality of our experience.” - Mark Passio

What do you care enough about to think, say, and do as a citizen?

Let’s consider arguably the single most important example for your care as a citizen: stopping unlawful Wars of Aggression in order to have literal world peace.

Do you care enough about your family and community members, who in the century we were all born, sacrificed through two world wars?

The legal victory our families sacrificed to win are two treaties that make current US, UK, Israel wars unlawful Wars of Aggression, the most worst crime a nation can commit. We also know that our own government agencies admit all reasons for war were known to be lies as they were told.

INVESTIGATION: Three days before Dr. Bradstreet was found dead in a river, U.S. govt. agents raided his research facility to seize a breakthrough cancer treatment called GcMAF

The history of the suppression of medical science in America is a long one, filled with true accounts of pioneering doctors and clinicians being threatened, intimidated and even assassinated in order to bury emerging cures and keep the “sick care” industry in control. (The American Medical Association, for example, has been found guilty by the U.S. federal courts of a conspiracy to destroy the chiropractic industry, by the way.)

Bloke who tried to get journo killed by SWAT cops coughs to conspiracy charge

One of the individuals who swatted the home of investigative journalist Brian Krebs has pleaded guilty to a felony criminal charge.

Swatting, for the uninitiated, involves calling 911 to falsely claim that someone is about to be shot and killed, and giving the police the address of an enemy or rival. What happens next is an armed SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) team of cops rock up at the address, kick down doors, and possibly shoot dead the people inside. It's a rather stupid way to try to get someone you don't like killed.

And it almost happened to Krebs.
