CNN Threatens to Stop Covering the White House (Video)

The Clinton News Network showed the American public its true colors during the 2016 election when it became nothing but a blatant shill for a Clinton presidency. With Trump in the White House instead, they have dedicated their efforts to smearing his public image with lies and falsehoods. And they wonder why Trump doesn’t treat them ‘fairly’? But their latest threat will leave you laughing in your seats.

In the following video, Today’s Yellow Snow (formerly Right Wing News) looks at Jim Acosta of CNN’s ‘threat’ to stop covering the White House due to their treatment of reporters. The "treatment" he was alluding to was the White House’s decision to hold a press gaggle instead of press conference. The difference is just that reporters actually have to ask questions and report instead of relying on video footage and recordings. You know, actual reporting work. But really, does anyone care if CNN stops covering the White House?

State Department Issues Statement On US-Russia Relations

Shortly after Russia's deputy foreign minister Ryabkov snubbed the US, cancelling a meeting with the Under Secretary of State Thomas A. Shannon, Jr., in retaliation to the Trump administration's announcement on Tuesday that it has imposed sanctions on 38 Russian individuals while a parallel bill of Russian sanctions is making its way through Congress, the US State Department issued a statement on US-Russian relations.

We regret that Russia has decided to turn away from an opportunity to discuss bilateral obstacles which hinder US-Russian relations.

Finally, for any reporters who are still confused how Russia could possibly slam the door of diplomacy in the US' face after an American F-18 shot down a Syrian fighter jet flying over Syria, and proceeded with two separate sanctions, the State Department has some advice: "we would refer you to the Russian government to explain their decision to cancel this meeting. "

Webmaster's Commentary:

I love the smell of irony and hypocrisy in the morning!!

First, let's set the record straight for the zillionth time.

Russia did not annex Crimea: in 2014, the US sponsored putsch threw Ukraine's Yanukovych under the proverbial bus, in exchange for the ascendancy of the pro-western Poroshenko. Crimeans knew that there was no rule of law in Kiev after that, and held a referendum to ask their people if they wanted to stay with Ukraine, post-putsch, or petition the Russian Federation; they overwhelmingly voted to join the Russian federation, and their petition for membership was accepted. And for doing absolutely nothing wrong, Russia has been punished ever since.

Apparently, in light of the fact that the US is a signatory to the UN Charter, the writers of this piece of codswallop have conveniently forgotten that little bit in there about "peaceful self-determination", which is precisely what Crimea did.

And with regard to Syria; US troops are on the ground and in the air are here illegally, and have invaded a sovereign country, with the aim at regime change in Damascus. Russia was invited by the Syrian government to get rid of the jihadis, which the US military is sponsoring. The Russian and Syrian governments have every right to call them the invaders they are.

Rabbi Calls for Poisoning of Palestinian Water Supply

The foreign ministry of the Palestinian Authority (PA), Sunday, demanded the arrest of a Jewish Rabbi, who called on Israeli settlers to poison water used by Palestinians in hundreds of towns and villages across the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian national office for the defense of land and resistance of settlements warned of the dangers and consequences of such calls.

In its weekly report, it explained that Rabbi Shlomo Mlmad, the chairman of the so-called Council of Rabbis in West Bank settlements, called on settlers to poison Palestinians through their water supply, which came to light by the Israeli organization ‘Breaking the Silence’.

Group member Yehuda Shaul said, according to WAFA, that the aim behind poisoning water in the West Bank is to push Palestinians out of their towns and cities in order to allow settlers to take over Palestinian lands.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but has this rabbi and his followers gone completely, foaming at the mouth mad, to conjure up such a plan?!?

Trump Takes Another Step Towards War with North Korea

In another menacing act of brinkmanship, President Donald Trump declared in a tweet yesterday that China had failed to force North Korea to accede to US demands, opening the door for unilateral US action, including military strikes. The tweet comes just ahead of top-level talks between US and Chinese officials due to take place in Washington today.
“While I greatly appreciate the efforts of President Xi [Jinping] & China to help with North Korea, it has not worked out. At least I know China tried!” Trump tweeted.
The Trump administration has put great pressure on Beijing to compel Pyongyang to abandon its nuclear and missile programs, but has indicated all along that time was limited.
“North Korea is looking for trouble. If China decides to help, that would be great. If not, we will solve the problem without them! USA,” Trump tweeted in April.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would love to be a butterfly on the wall at this meeting, and see how evenhandedly both sides are dealing with a potentially nuclear-armed North Korea.

As someone who lives on a first-strike target here in Hawaii, I hope that dialogue leads to constructive plans for a resolution of the issue.

IF not, we may well be looking at war with China over North Korea, because it cannot appear to its allies, including the BRIC nations, that China has "lost face" in backing down from supporting North Korea.

And that would be officially lousy for just about everybody.

US Aggression in Syria: Testing Russia’s Resolve

On Tuesday, for the fifth time in recent weeks, US warplanes attacked Syrian military targets, flagrant acts of aggression.

They’re part of Washington’s diabolical regime change plan – at the same time, testing Russia’s resolve in the wake of its announced halt in cooperating with America in Syrian airspace, following the downing of one of its Su-22 planes.

The latest incident involved a US F-15 warplane, downing a Syrian drone near its border with Iraq and Jordan.

A US-led coalition statement lied, claiming the UAV “displaced hostile intent and advanced on coalition forces.” Calling naked aggression self-defense is the last refuge of a rogue state. America and Israel are Exhibits A and B.
On June 8, a US warplane downed another Syrian UAV in the same southern part of the country.

Washington claiming it doesn’t seek to fight Syria and allied forces is a bald-faced lie. Actions in the air and on the ground speak for themselves.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These illegal, hostile acts by the Unhinged, Surveilled State of America will have consequences; it is not as though those in the bowels of power in DC don't know this.

This massive push against Syria is calculated to create a pushback, militarily, from Iran, to give the US government the "justification" to attack it.

But what doesn't seem to factor into the calculus here, is that should such an attack happen, Russia will immediately come to Iran's aid, militarily.

And were I a betting woman, I would definitely not bet against this, and neither should the American Deep State.

Israel’s Dirty Little Secret

At a recent panel discussion in Washington, screenwriter, film director and producer Oliver Stone briefly addressed the issue of alleged Russian interference in the recent national election, observing that “Israel interfered in the U.S. election far more than Russia and nobody is investigating them.” A few days later, in an interview with Stephen Colbert on the Late Show, Stone returned to the theme, responding to an aggressive claim that Russia had interfered in the election by challenging Colbert with “Israel had far more involvement in the U.S. election than Russia. Why don’t you ask me about that?”

Syria troops position themselves at heart of war on IS

Syrian government troops and their allies have steadily positioned themselves in key areas on the flanks of the U.S.-led coalition battle for the Islamic State’s self-declared capital of Raqqa.

They are attempting to become an indispensable player in uprooting the extremists from Syria entirely.

That presents a major challenge for the coalition, which so far has shunned any cooperation with President Bashar Assad and has partnered instead with local Kurdish-led forces.

As the U.S. has intensified its fight against IS in Syria, Assad and his trusted allies of Russia and Iran are increasingly asserting themselves. A Syrian military offensive has unfolded on several fronts, coupled with Russian airstrikes and a show of force by Iran, which fired ballistic missiles on an IS stronghold this week and pushed militias that it sponsors deeper into the battlefield.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Getting into a situation like this, with no real, appreciable strategy whatsoever, to speak of, is a sure and certain course toward a disaster which can lead to outright regional, and ultimately, a world war.

Reporters face 70 years in prison over anti-Trump march

Even when heavily armed riot police closed off a square block and surrounded protesters, media workers and legal observers alike, independent journalist Alexei Wood did not realise he was about to be arrested.

"It didn't even cross my mind that was what was happening," the 37-year-old photographer and videographer told Al Jazeera. "I was waiting for an order of dispersal and the mass of people showed no sign of resistance when the police completely surrounded them."

Most of the 230 people arrested were the following day charged with felony rioting - charges that carry a statutory maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a fine of $25,000. Among them were Wood and other journalists.

A handful of arrested journalists, including Alex Rubinstein of RT and Evan Engle of Vocativ, subsequently had the charges against them dropped.

Facing decades behind bars

Webmaster's Commentary:

The live streaming of Wood's video should exonerate him completely; it does not appear, from how I am reading this, that he actually participated in any destruction of property, or incited to riot.

If it does not, we are headed toward a massive chill against our guaranteed First Amendment Freedoms which is horrifically troubling.

US Coast Guard Wants Icebreakers With Advanced Missiles

The US Coast Guard has two icebreakers, but both are aging, and one is ready to be scrapped outright. That’s got the Coast Guard interested in shopping for more, and while they’re at it, Commandant Admiral Paul Zukunft would like some that you can strap a bunch of missiles to.

Talking up the substantial natural resources buried under the ice in he Arctic, Zukunft is telling Congress that they should stop seeing the icebreakers as being about breaking ice,and more about firing missiles at planes and ships threatening “US sovereignty” over whatever is buried under that ice.

Specialists are warning that re-designing America’s icebreakers around carrying arsenals of missiles might get int he way of their transitional mission of breaking ice, and not exactly in keeping with the idea of the coast guard’s search and rescue operations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

From the Coast Guard's Department of "You CAN make this stuff up", obviously.

Secret Government Report: Chelsea Manning Leaks Caused No Real Harm

Prosecutors said WikiLeaks' disclosures about Iraq and Afghanistan posed a major threat to US national security. But it turns out the classified document they cited — newly obtained by BuzzFeed News — said almost the exact opposite.

In the seven years since WikiLeaks published the largest leak of classified documents in history, the federal government has said they caused enormous damage to national security.

But a secret, 107-page report, prepared by a Department of Defense task force and newly obtained by BuzzFeed News, tells a starkly different story: It says the disclosures were largely insignificant and did not cause any real harm to US interests.

Regarding the hundreds of thousands of Iraq-related military documents and State Department cables provided by the Army private Chelsea Manning, the report assessed “with high confidence that disclosure of the Iraq data set will have no direct personal impact on current and former U.S. leadership in Iraq.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

So the US government crucified this person in the court of public opinion, and jailed them...for crimes they did not commit against this country...just because they could?!?

State Dept Suddenly Takes Hard Line Against Saudis’ Boycott of Qatar

The US stance on Saudi Arabia and its allies’ hostility toward Qatar, including an outright blockade, has not been particularly consistent in the last couple of weeks. State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert took a more direct position against the blockade today, but that is just raising more questions.

Nauert very directly faulted the Saudis for their move against Qatar, noting neither they nor other nations involved have offered any details to back up their allegations, and suggesting that the blockade was not about Qatar’s alleged support for terrorism, but long-standing grievances among GCC countries.

This is largely in keeping with what you’d figure would be the US position on Qatar, a long-time ally, but runs contrary to President Trump, who personally took credit for the Saudi-led move and has repeatedly parroted Saudi allegations against the Qatari government since then.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These "mood swings" in President Trump's foreign policy are giving me intellectual whiplash!!

Our Rush to War in Syria: It’s a disaster in the making

The downing of a Syrian fighter jet by the United States – and, more recently, of an Iranian drone – augurs a confrontation that could take us down the road to World War III. The US media is echoing the Pentagon’s explanation, which is that the Syrian jet bombed (or was threatening to bomb) units of the US-supported Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) around the town of Tanf. The Syrians say they were attacking forces aligned with ISIS, which both the US and the Syrian government are supposedly fighting.

Stuck in the midst of this four-sided civil war is the United States, with no real policy, and with its military strategy ceded to commanders on the ground – who are pursuing the same course set by the previous administration, i.e. canoodling with radical Islamists bent on regime change in Damascus. In alliance with the Saudis, the British, the Israelis, and the Jordanians, Washington is seemingly still determined to oust Assad and establish a Sunni regime in Damascus.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am disgusted and distraught over President Trump's foreign policy; all the "non-intervention" pledges we heard from Candidate Trump seems to have completely disappeared, with President Trump.

White House Wants to Widen Syria War, Despite Pentagon Objections

Over the past several weeks, US military actions within Syria have been less and less ISIS-centric, with a handful of operations targeting Shi’ite militias in southern Syria, and even shooting down a Syrian government aircraft over the weekend.

This isn’t just the US idly getting into one-off fights in the course of a war they’re already fighting in Syria, but rather is reflective of a push by White House officials, with multiple National Security Council members looking at the Syrian War less as a fight against ISIS and more as a chance to pick a fight with Iran.

The Pentagon has made clear they object, with Defense Secretary James Mattis personally rejecting multiple proposals related to this. Still, attacks on Shi’ite militias whenever they got sort of close to a US-backed rebel base, and a public narrative presenting the militias as necessarily in league with Iran, have found the US heading down that path anyhow.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The problem is, such a war cannot not be confined to Syria, in spite of whatever delusionally wishful thinking may be taking place in the bowels of power in DC.

We are looking at World War III, with Russia, China, and Iran on one side, and the US, NATO, Australia, and Saudi Arabia on the other.

Trump Imposes New Sanctions on Russia Over Ukraine Incursion

The Trump administration ratcheted up pressure on Russia on Tuesday, unveiling sanctions on more than three dozen additional individuals and organizations that have participated in the country’s incursion in Ukraine.

The Treasury Department made the announcement on the same day that President Trump hosted his Ukrainian counterpart, Petro O. Poroshenko, at the White House to discuss a peaceful resolution to the conflict with Russia. The sanctions also came as Mr. Trump continues to face questions about whether his campaign colluded with Russia to help him defeat Hillary Clinton.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Alan Rappeport and Neil MacFarquhar, a word, please.

You two are either the most intellectually incompetent, or completely disingenuous alleged "reporters" on the face of this planet, and an absolute and utter disgrace to those of us who report real news, as opposed to fake news. And BTW, did anyone mention to you, that the "big lie" went out with the whoopie cushion and the dribble glass?!?

FACT: President Obama admitted that the US was thoroughly complicit in the overthrow of pro-Russian Yanukovych:

Washington Was Behind Ukraine Coup: Obama admits that US “Brokered a Deal” in Support of “Regime Change”

FACT: Victoria Nuland bragged about how much the US had spent to destabilize Ukraine, and place Poroshenko into power in an election which was more crooked that is a dog's hind leg:

Victoria Nuland's Admits Washington Has Spent $5 Billion to "Subvert Ukraine"

FACT: When Crimean officials realised that there was utterly no rule of law in Ukraine when Yanukovych was overthrown, they held a referendum, asking the Crimean people if they wanted to stay with Ukraine, or petition the Russian Federation to become a member. In a free and fair referendum, Crimeans voted overwhelmingly to petition the Russian Federation to accept them as a member.

Some 95.5% of voters in Crimea have supported joining Russia, officials say.

Russia never annexed Crimea; Crimea, post-putsch, requested to become a member of the Russian Federation.

FACT: This exercise in peaceful self-determination was adjudged as "illegal" by the US and Ukraine, and the US and Ukraine have been punishing Russia for something it did not do ever since.

Gentlemen, if you EVER had a shred of credibility, it has absolutely gone down in flames, with this story; and you have done it to yourselves, in not presenting what really happened here in a truthful manner.

Dashcam video shows Minnesota officer fire 7 shots into Philando Castile's car

IRAN’S MISSILE STRIKE ADDS TO SYRIAN CRISIS

On June 19, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced that it had fired several missiles at ISIS positions in the Deir Az Zor province in Syria. The reason given for this unprecedented military strike was retaliation for double terrorist attacks which struck Tehran two weeks ago. Readers should not underestimate the significance of this event.

ccording to a statement issued by the news agency for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, Sepahnews, “Multiple medium-range missiles were fired from the Iranian provinces of Kermanshah and Kurdestan, and a large number of terrorists were killed and their weapons were destroyed.”

Regarding the alleged ISIS attack, which killed 13 people and wounded 50 others, the Revolutionary Guard added, “The spilling of any pure blood will not go unanswered.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears that US escalation against both Syria and Iran continues apace.

In looking at these events from an island in the Pacific which is a first-strike target in a major war, Mike and I are having frequent conversations about that archetypal dream, where one is watching two trains, in slow motion, then picking up speed, ultimately crashing into each other on the same track, but unable to stop it.

It looks to me as though we are on the keening edge of World War III.

The only thing we can do, right now, is encourage people around us to take the best possible precautions they can; stockpile needed supplies; be kind and loving to the people around them; and create community, as best they can.

AFTER SHOCKING SAUDI SHAKEUP "NOT A QUESTION OF IF BUT WHEN NEW ESCALATION WITH IRAN STARTS"

Two days ago, when reporting on the surprising "terrorist attempt" by Iran's National Guard on a major Saudi offshore oilfiled (at least according to Saudi media), we said that "if the Saudi account of events is accurate, and if Iran is indeed preparing to take out Saudi oil infrastructure in retaliation or otherwise, the simmering cold war between Saudi Arabia and Iran is about to get very hot." This in turn followed an earlier analysis on the ongoing Syrian war in which we said that "the next major regional conflict appears set to be between Saudi Arabia and Iran. All it needs is a catalyst."

That catalyst, according to energy consultancy Petromatrix, may have been revealed overnight with the stunning Saudi royal shakeup in which the King announced he was stripping the current Crown Prince, his nephew Mohamed bin Nayef (MBF), of all titles and obligations, and replacing him with his son Mohamed bin Salman (MBS).

Webmaster's Commentary:

In his recent trip to the Middle East, President Trump has "thrown his hat", coupled with American military power, behind Saudi Arabia against Iran, and this, unfortunately, will ultimately prove to be a very grave error in judgement on the part of this President and his administration.

Tel Aviv has been cheerleading forever for "regime change" in Tehran, but only at the cost of American blood and American money.

Russian political and military figures have been consistent in saying that if Iran is attacked, it will come to its aid militarily.

So in a war against Iran, you have Iran and Russia (and potentially China) on one side, and the US and Saudi Arabia on the other.

And right now, the US military doesn't have the weaponry; the money; the troop strength; or the manufacturing to insure a successful outcome to a war against Russia.

RUSSIA ANNOUNCES NO-FLY ZONE IN SYRIA — WAR AGAINST U.S. IN MID-EAST

IN INTERNATIONAL LAW, AND AS RECOGNIZED BY THE U.N., SYRIA HAS BEEN INVADED BY THE UNITED STATES, WAS NEVER INVITED INTO THE COUNTRY BUT IS INSTEAD THERE AS AN INVADER. RUSSIA WAS INVITED IN; IRAN WAS INVITED IN; BUT THE U.S. ARE ONLY INVADERS. AND, NOW, RUSSIA AND SYRIA WILL START TREATING THE U.S. AS SUCH.

If the U.S. fails to apologize and to find some way to save face, but instead persists in its invasion, even after this warning, then either the U.S. or Russia will win that traditional war in Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Just because something is the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing for the Unhinged, Surveilled States of America to do, is, unfortunately, no guarantee that it will not do it.

Mike and I are sitting on an island which has massive command and control military communications centers, projecting eastward; you will forgive me if I say that "color us extremely nervous" is about where we are, regarding the ramp up of tensions in Syria with Russia.

Surprise! 2008 Election May Have Been Decided by Illegal Votes (Video)

The claim that illegal aliens/non-citizens voting and influencing the direction of US politics has long been tarred by the brush of ‘conspiracy theory’ by the media. The mainstream media is quick to rubbish any such claims as that of the losing party being ‘sore losers’. Yet, a recent study of 2008 post election data shows that as many as 7.9 million noncitizens were illegally registered that year and 594,000 to 5.7 million voted.

In the following video, Today’s Yellow Snow (formerly Right Wing News) looks at the analysis done by James Agresti of the Just Facts group. Using a more conservative margin of sampling error, Agresti’s conclusion shows an even higher figure of illegally registered noncitizens compared to a previous study done at Old Dominion University.

US Gov’t Proves Loyalty To ISIS As Bill To ‘Stop Arming Terrorists’ Gets Only 13 Supporters

ONE OF THE MOST RATIONAL BILLS EVER PROPOSED, BARRING THE FEDS FROM GIVING MONEY AND WEAPONS TO CHILD MURDERING TERRORISTS, HAS ALMOST ZERO SUPPORT.

For the last several decades, the US government has openly funded, supported, and armed various terrorist networks throughout the world to forward an agenda of destabilization and proxy war. It is not a secret, nor a conspiracy theory, America arms bad guys.

Given the insidious history of the American empire and its creation and fostering of terrorist regimes across the globe, it should come as no surprise that the overwhelming majority of politicians would refuse to sign on to a law that requires them to ‘Stop Arming Terrorists.’ And, that is exactly what’s happened.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Supreme Court Says You Can't Ban People From The Internet, No Matter What They've Done

Going all the way back to 2002 (and many times after that), we've talked about courts struggling with whether or not it's okay to ban people from the internet after they've committed a crime. The question comes up in many different cases, but most prevalently in cases involving child predators. While courts have struggled with this issue for so long, it's only now that the Supreme Court has weighed in and said you cannot ban someone from the internet, even if they're convicted of horrific crimes -- in this case, sex crimes against a minor.

The "Extremism Experts" Who Used To Fear The Right, Are Now Worried About The Left

For most of the past 30 years, violent extremism has been most closely associated with the far-right in America. The media, the government, and watchdog groups like the SPLC and the Anti-Defamation league have railed against the far-right for a generation, and used scaremongering to convince the masses that conservative rhetoric was becoming more violent, and that right-wing groups pose a serious and growing threat to our society.

Of course, they often neglected to mention that the far-left has a long history of violence, especially when you consider the wave of domestic terror attacks that occurred throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s. Perhaps these institutions should have been paying more attention to the Left, because while they were screaming about right-wing groups all these years, far-left radical groups like BAMN and ANTIFA have been riding under the radar.

Russian fighter jet warns off NATO aircraft by displaying its weapons after the F-16 'buzzed' plane carrying Moscow defence minister over Baltic Sea

A Russian fighter jet chased off a NATO aircraft after it buzzed a plane carrying defence minister Sergei Shoigu over the Baltic Sea, Russian news agencies have said.

The F-16 had tried to approach the aircraft carrying the defence minister even though it was flying over neutral waters, agencies said today, before a Russian Sukhoi-27 turned up to warn it off.

Shoigu was reported to be en route to the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad for a meeting to discuss how well Russia's western flank was defended.

In dramatic footage appearing to show the incident unfolding, a Sukhoi-27 can be seen flying between an F-16 and another plane before tilting its wings. The F-16 then seems to fly off.

Thank You for Your Service (Actually means, thank you for your killing)

The horrible irony is that it has been the U.S. government, not the Taliban or ISIS, that has destroyed the freedom of the American people through the adoption of powers that ordinarily characterize totalitarian regimes: secret mass surveillance and the powers to incarcerate, torture, and assassinate American citizens as part of their process of keeping us “safe” from the enemies that U.S. interventionism produces. -- Of course, there is also the out-of-control spending and debt necessary to sustain this ongoing, perpetual killing program, both of which constitute a grave threat to America’s economic well-being.

Another Step Toward Devastating War — Paul Craig Roberts

Washington’s pretense that Washington is fighting ISIS, rather than supporting it, is the excuse for Washington’s illegal presence in the Syrian conflict. Russia and Iran are in Syria legally, invited there by an elected government. The Americans are there uninvited as war criminals. Under international law established by the Americans themselves, it is a war crime to initiate aggression against a country that has not raised a fist against you. -- So, to be in Syria, Washington has to pretend to be “fighting terrorism” rather than supporting it. The lie has been given to this claim many times, but now that an American pilot has proven that the US is in Syria to support its agent, ISIS, not even a Megyn Kelly presstitute can honestly claim to believe that Washington is fighting ISIS.

US and Russia Teetering on the Brink of War: What You are Not Being Told

FP explains:

Ezra Cohen-Watnick, the senior director for intelligence on the National Security Council, and Derek Harvey, the NSC's top Middle East advisor, want the United States to start going on the offensive in southern Syria, where, in recent weeks, the U.S. military has taken a handful of defensive actions against Iranian-backed forces fighting in support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

RAW SEWAGE SEEPS OUT OF GAZA AS ELECTRICITY SUPPLIES DWINDLE

The Israel Electric Company, which typically transfers about 120 megawatts of electricity daily to Gaza, confirmed that it would continue reducing the supply gradually over the next few days.

With minimal electricity available to treat Gaza’s wastewater, continued power cuts could cause irreparable damage not only to the Strip but also to Israel, as raw sewage runs rampant across maritime borders.

“We’re starting to play Russian roulette,” Gidon Bromberg, Israeli director of EcoPeace Middle East, told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday.

Pursuant to a request from the Palestinian Authority, which is aiming to pressure Hamas to cede control over the isolated territory, Israel began decreasing the amount of electricity it supplies to Gaza on Monday by 8 MW. The Israel Electric Corporation, which typically transfers about 120 MW of electricity daily to Gaza, confirmed that it would continue reducing the supply gradually over the next few days.

judicial Watch: Susan Rice ‘Unmasking’ Documents Moved from NSC to Obama Library

The National Security Council cannot hand over records relating to former National Security Adviser Susan Rice’s surveillance of Americans, because they have been moved to the Obama presidential library and may be sealed for as many as five years, conservative watchdog Judicial Watch announced Monday.
The NSC informed Judicial Watch in a letter dated May 23 that materials related to Rice’s requests to know the identities of Americans swept up in surveillance of foreign targets, including any Trump campaign or transition officials, have been moved to the library.

The NSC’s Director of Access Management John Powers said in the letter:

Documents from the Obama administration have been transferred to the Barack Obama Presidential Library. You may send your request to the Obama Library. However, you should be aware that under the Presidential Records Act, Presidential records remain closed to the public for five years after an administration has left office.

The USS Fitzgerald Is At Fault. This Is Why.

Every ship, regardless of nationality or purpose, is required to carry one terse book . This book is titled the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions but is better know by its acronym “COLREGs”. The chapters are short and to the point and ship officers are required to make marks of 90% on COLREGs tests taken to keep up their licenses. In order to pass this stringent requirement sailors have developed mnemonic aids to help them remember the contents. When the crew loses control of steering, the COLREGs demands that the ship display two red lights in a vertical line. The mnemonic for this rule is “Red over Red, the Captain’s dead”. Sailboats are required to display a red and green light and its said “Red over Green, sailing machine”. There are many more like this but one important rule for avoiding collisions with Navy warships is missing: “If it’s grey stay away.”

The Hypersonic Threat That Keeps US Commanders Up At Night (Video)

The development of nuclear weapons and the principle of Mutually Assured Destruction have led to an era of relative peace between the major powers; with most wars now being conducted by proxy. Still, the arms race has continued unabated, and a new piece of technology has entered the mix, one which US military commanders are calling a ‘game changer’.

In the following video, Today's Yellow Snow, (formerly Right Wing News) looks at the emergence of hypersonic weapons technology, and their political and military implications. While on the nuclear front, it makes little difference to the status quo, on the non-nuclear front it has the power to potentially tip the balance in favor of countries like Russian and China, who are heavily investing into this technology. And what about when other less friendly countries begin developing this technology as well?

US SENDS SUPERSONIC BOMBERS IN SHOW OF FORCE AGAINST N.KOREA

The United States flew two supersonic bombers over the Korean Peninsula on Tuesday in a show of force against North Korea, South Korean officials said.

The U.S. often sends powerful warplanes in times of heightened animosities with North Korea, and flew B-1B bombers several times this year as the North conducted a series of banned ballistic missile tests.

Tuesday's flights by B-1Bs came shortly after the death of a U.S. college student who was recently released by North Korea in a coma following more than 17 months of captivity.

Seoul's Defense Ministry said the bombers engaged in routine exercises with South Korean fighter jets aimed at showing deterrence against North Korea.

The U.S. military said the bombers conducted two separate drills with the Japanese and South Korean air forces. It said the flights demonstrated solidarity among South Korea, Japan and the United States "to defend against provocative and destabilizing actions in the Pacific theater."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Belligerence here is not going to get the outcome the US and South Korean governments want; it is negotiation for a full, and fair, peace treaty with no financial penalties, coupled with North Korea's giving up its nuclear weapons program in response, which could possibly deescalate tensions here.

Of course, that... would be logical.

Mass Incarceration, Prison Labor in the United States

The Federal Prison Industries (FPI) under the brand UNICORE operates approximately 52 factories (prisons) across the United States. Prisoners manufacture or assemble a number of products for the US military, homeland security, and federal agencies according to the UNICORE/FPI website. They produce furniture, clothing and circuit boards in addition to providing computer aided design services and call center support for private companies.

UNICORE/FPI makes its pitch for employing call center support personnel to firms thinking about off-shoring their call center functions. The logic is that, hey!, they may be prisoners, but it’s keeping the jobs in the USA that matters. Fair enough. That approach cuts out the middleman though, those Americans desperate for any kind of work but, through no fault of their own, are not behind prison bars and employable by UNICORE/FPI.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The private, for profit prisons are great as money generators for their owners, but lousy on any real rehabilitation which will prevent prisoners from reoffending.

The huge recidivism rate, among American prisoners released, is a grim testament to that reality.

U.S.-backed SDF will retaliate if Syrian govt attacks again: spokesman

U.S.-backed Syrian militias accused the Syrian government on Monday of bombing their positions southwest of Raqqa city in recent days and threatened to retaliate if the attacks continue.

"The regime's forces have mounted large-scale attacks using planes, artillery, and tanks since June 17," Syrian Democratic Forces spokesman Talal Selo said in a statement.

Selo said the attacks targeted SDF areas near the town of Tabqa and the adjacent dam, Syria's largest, which the alliance of Kurdish and Arab militias captured from Islamic State militants in May.

There was no immediate comment from the Syrian army.

The Kurdish-led SDF began this month to push into Raqqa, Islamic State's base of operations in Syria. With air strikes and special forces from the U.S.-led coalition, they had been encircling the city since November.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is about to get very ugly, and very quickly.

EU extends Crimea sanctions, same seen for curbs on Russia

The European Union on Monday extended for another year its trade sanctions on the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea, annexed by Russia from Ukraine in 2014, and diplomats said they expected the bloc to do the same for its sanctions on Moscow soon.

Moscow's annexation of Crimea is not internationally recognized. Along with Moscow's subsequent backing of an armed separatist rebellion in Ukraine's industrial east, it has prompted the bloc to impose sanctions on the peninsula and on Moscow, in sync with the United States.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is painfully clear that 1. the EU is stuck on stupid, when it comes to the financial opportunities trading with Russia and Crimea would bring its members, and 2. the writer of this piece of codswallop either has not a clue about the recent history of either Ukraine or Crimea, or is deliberately lying, to make these sanctions appear "justified".

In 2014, the US government worked with the IMF, and various Soros-sponsored organisations, and overthrew the duly elected President of Ukraine, President Yanukovich, replacing him in a rigged election with the western-centric thug, Poroshenko. Even President Obama admitted to such collusion in 2015:

Washington Was Behind Ukraine Coup: Obama admits that US “Brokered a Deal” in Support of “Regime Change”

You also had Victoria Nuland bragging about how much money the US spent to destabilise Ukraine:

The United States spent $5 billion on Ukraine anti-government riots

When Poroshenko took over the reigns of government in Ukraine, Crimean officials understood that there was not going to be anything approximating the rule of law in Kiev, so they did two things:

1st,they held a free and fair referendum, asking Crimeans if they wanted to stay with Ukraine, or petition the Russian Federation to join it.

Crimeans vote to join Russian Federation with a 97% vote

Secondly, then petitioned the Russian Federation to accept it as a member, and the Russian Federation did just that.

Russia never annexed Crimea; Crimea petitioned the Russian Federation to become a member.

This was a priceless example of peaceful self-determination by the Crimean people, but is treated by Ukraine and the West as betrayal, which must be punished.

America will regret helping Saudi Arabia bomb Yemen

“USA Kills Yemeni People”, screams graffiti plastered on walls in Yemen’s capital Sana’a. The Yemeni people who have been on the receiving end of US bombs dropped by Saudi pilots know all too well that the United States is complicit in their suffering.

The intense anti-US sentiment in Yemen should be a wake-up call for Americans: if you don’t care about the millions of suffering Yemenis, you might think about the future blowback.

Two US Senators, the Republican Rand Paul and the Democrat Chris Murphy, understand full well the implications and have been trying to halt the weapons sales. “The United States has no business supporting a war that has only served to embolden our terrorist enemies, exacerbate a humanitarian crisis, and incite fear and anger among the Yemeni people toward the United States. This will come back to haunt us,” warned Murphy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US-militarily enabled Saudi war in Yemen is breaking my heart. And I must warn you that the images you will see below are very, very graphic, but speak the truth in a very powerful, and darkly real, manner.

Children are getting killed and maimed for life by Saudi bombing.

Images: Yemeni children killed and maimed for life, through Saudi bombings

Because of the US-military-enabled blockade of Yemeni ports, no food can get in and children are starving to death from malnutrition.

Images: Yemeni children dying from malnutrition

Because of the malnutrition, cholera has a firm foothold on the population of Yemen:

Images:
children dying from cholera

Oh, and did I mention that Saudi Arabia is using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen?!?

Images: Saudi troops using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen

These depleted uranium weapons are having precisely the same effect on children in the womb as they did in Fallujah, Iraq; Yemenis are seeing a massive spike in horrific birth defects, and still births.

To poison a child in the womb, from exposure to this, and other, chemical weapons, is one of the worst, and most cruel forms of child abuse I can think of.

And yet, the House of Saud, the Saudi Military, American civilian leadership, and the American military seem to be perfectly morally comfortable with all of these very predictable outcomes.

I am not, thank you very much, morally comfortable with any of these very predictable outcomes, and find myself very frustrated to be a citizen of a country whose leadership is just perfectly comfortable in colluding with
the Saudis in committing war crimes against Yemen.

But as a Christian pacifist activist, I understand that I must use my frustration constructively, and become a witness, to the best of my ability, to the truth of what is going on here in Yemen.

We need to have a national dialogue on why the US government is enabling Saudi Arabia's genocide, in this horrific war against one of the poorest people on the earth.
