Germany investigating 2 former SS death squad members

BERLIN – Two suspected members of Adolf Hitler's mobile "Einsatzgruppen" death squads identified by the Simon Wiesenthal Center have been tracked down by German reporters but deny participating in wartime massacres.
One suspect, 94-year-old Kurt Gosdek, told broadcaster ARD's Politikmagazin Kontraste program that he was part of a special SS unit in Einsatzgruppe C in Ukraine in 1941, but had worked behind the lines repairing vehicles.
Herbert Wahler, 95, confirmed that his name was on the Einsatzgruppen roster, but refused other comment

Patriotism Is A Two-Edged Sword — Paul Craig Roberts

On the Russian and Chinese side what can be done is a tri-party mutual defense pact between Russia, Iran, and China that is made public. This would tell the psychopaths in Washington and Israel that an attack on Iran means World War III. If this is not a deterrent, then Washington and Israel are lost to evil, and life on earth is ended.

We Must Act Now To Lock Down Our Constitutional Rights

The individual rights guaranteed by the 1st and 2nd Amendments of our Constitution are under attack. A dangerous new movement has emerged in American politics, one that seeks to upend the 225-year tradition that in America laws are made only with the consent of the governed. Many so-called progressives believe that when, sooner or later, they regain control of the White House they can erode and weaken the 1st Amendment rights like free speech and religious freedom as well as the 2nd Amendment's guarantee of the right to bear arms, not by passing legislation, but, through regulations dictated by the President's un-elected bureaucrats in Washington.

Federal Judge Smacks Down DOJ Lawyers Protecting Hillary – Will Review Redacted Clinton Emails

Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch announced Thursday that a federal judge will personally review, on camera, redacted material from Hillary Clinton’s emails during her time as Secretary of State.

Judicial Watch announced today that a federal judge will personally review, in camera, redacted material from emails discussing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of iPads and iPhones during her tenure at the State Department. Judge Kollar-Kotelly also ordered the State Department to file an affidavit addressing why it should not have to search new Clinton emails recovered. In taking these steps, the court rejected arguments by the Tillerson State Department and its lawyers at the Sessions Justice Department.

If North Korea Fires an ICBM, the US Might Have to Shoot It Down Over Russia

Missile-defense physics may require interceptors to fly into ‘the teeth of the Russian early warning net.’

If Pyongyang fires a missile at the United States, its most-likely trajectory would take it over the North Pole. A U.S. attempt to shoot down that missile would probably occur within Russian radar space — and possibly over Russia itself. “It’s something we’re aware of,” Gen. Lori Robinson, who leads both U.S. Northern Command and the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, said Wednesday. “It’s something we work our way through.”

By year’s end, the U.S. will have deployed 44 ground-based interceptors, or GBIs: 40 at Fort Greeley, Alaska, and four at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. If deterrence fails, those interceptors would be the last line of defense against a North Korean missile. Each incoming ICBM might be met with four or more GBIs.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Can someone please tell me, with an absolutely straight face, how such a missile strike is NOT going to be perceived as an act of war against Russia instead?!?

The Prof's math calcs may be "surgically correct"; but the potential optics, and intimations of a US generated war against Russia with such a stunt; holy crud and a half!!

More reason to be a prepper: Aid is arriving by the ton in Puerto Rico, but it’s NOT getting to the people because the logistics chain has been destroyed

Food, fresh water, and basic supplies are arriving by the ton. Thousands of shipping containers brought in by scores of cargo ships are piling up on the docks of Puerto Rico’s main ports, which have been reopening steadily as workers cleared storm debris in Maria’s aftermath.

The problem is that the logistical chain has been destroyed; there’s no way to quickly distribute the tons of food and supplies that are being shipped in, and it’s not clear that food and water will be distributed quickly enough before people start dying.

The four major professional sports leagues – the NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball and the NHL – along with the behemoth NCAA, have been the biggest obstacles to sports betting expansion, all often working in concert to wield PASPA as the weapon against such expansion. As Wallach smartly points out, though, the law itself notes that a sports organization can only seek injunctive relief for PASPA violations when that specific organization’s games are the basis of the violation.

In other words, the NFL does not have standing under PASPA to say, “Hey, New Jersey can’t bet on the NBA.” That’s up to the discretion of the NBA, though again, so far, the major sports organizations have played ball together to stifle legalized sports betting –>>>

Zuckerberg Fires Back At Trump, Admits "Russian Ads" Were Meaningless

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has responded to a Trump tweet from earlier this morning which suggested that Facebook, among other media outlets, were "always anti-Trump" from the beginning (we noted the Trump tweets here).

In his response, Zuckerberg finally managed to interject some logic into the Left's latest, and most entertaining "Russian collusion" narrative which continues to allege that $100,000 (one hundred thousand) worth of ad buys on Facebook managed to sway the outcome of the entire U.S. election.

After acknowledging that he has recently found himself in the uncomfortable position of coming under attack by both the Left and Right for "helping" the other side, Zuckerberg pointed out, as have we on numerous occasions, that "campaigns spent hundreds of millions advertising online" which was "1000x more than any problematic ads we've found."

US Promises to Deploy ‘Strategic’ Military Assets Near Korean Peninsula

South Korean National Security Office chief Chung Eui-yong says that the US has committed to deploying more “strategic” military assets around the Korean Peninsula. Such deployments are to start later this year.

Details are scant, but Chung suggested the deployment was meant to show that there wasn’t “any crack” between the US and the South Korean government amid mounting US tensions with North Korea.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in has insisted that he will not allow any US deployments of nuclear weapons into South Korea. This likely rules out a lot of such assets, though “strategic” assets could still include aircraft carriers and heavy bombers.

The caveat that the deployments will be “near” the Korean Peninsula could mean the US is planning buildups in Guam and Japan as well.

Iraqi PM Demands Kurds ‘Cancel’ Referendum Result

The results of the Iraqi Kurdistan referendum on secession are in, with over 92% of the voters in favor of seceding from Iraq. Iraq’s Prime Minister Hayder Abadi has threatened military action in retaliation.

In fact, Abadi is now demanding that the Kurds totally cancel the vote, even though it’s already taken place and the results are already in, saying he will “never discuss” the results of the referendum because Iraq’s parliament didn’t give them permission for it.

Iraqi officials seem to be throwing everything at the situation in Kurdistan now and seeing what sticks. Demands for the Kurds to surrender their airports have been spurned, and Kurdish officials had ruled out returning to Baghdad’s rule before Abadi’s latest demands were even made.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Iraqi Prime Minister Abadi, a word, please; in a terse statement my late grandmother frequently used to illustrate the reality that it was past time to actually fix something, she would say: "The horse is already out of the barn."

The Iraqi Kurdish people have spoken, and with one voice; how you deal with it will, ultimately, be in one of two ways; either a Turkish-assisted genocide of the Iraqi Kurds, or a political accomodation which requires no bloodshed.

The choice is both yours, and that of the Iraqi government.

But I can assure you, that the entire world is watching.

As a member of the UN, and represented by Permanent Representative of Iraq to the United Nations, Mohammed al – Hakim, you must understand that peaceful self-determination is enshrined in the UN charter, to which Iraq is a signatory.

So you have the choice; genocide; or accomodation.

Which will it be, Prime Minister Abadi, with the entire world watching and collectively holding its breath?!?

Sweden Facing New Challenges as Acid Throwing Plague Reaches Scandinavia

The UK has recently achieved the dubious honor of becoming the "world capital of acid attacks," which have more than tripled in six years. Now, this deadly trend appears to have reached Scandinavia, as two people were attacked with a caustic liquid in Greater Stockholm earlier this week.
Two people were taken to hospital in Upplands Väsby north of Stockholm after being attacked with some sort of caustic liquid. The offender is believed to have escaped in a car after spilling the noxious liquid into his victim's faces.

"A person, a man, left the scene in a car and is currently wanted by the authorities," Anna Westberg of the Stockholm Police told the Swedish newspaper Expressen.

While the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reported the liquid to be ammonia, the police have not commented on the incident.

"I cannot say exactly what kind of liquid it was," Anna Westberg told Expressen.

Libya was bombed by the US government yesterday, but you wouldn’t know it because the media have been obsessed with the #TakeAKnee dispute between the president and the NFL. The new phase of Israel aggression against Syria revolves around the targeting of a comparatively small group of Iranian military advisors who are in the country. In the Israeli lexicon, targeting ‘Iran’ is also a code word for targeting the Lebanese Arab party Hezbollah whose volunteers are cooperating with the government of the Syrian Arab Republic against jihadist terrorists. Thus far, Israel has struck Syrian and Hezbollah targets in Syria, but the Israeli regime has not killed any actual Iranians in Syria.

Now, a prominent minister in the Likud regime, Ze’ev Elkin, has given an interview with the ultra-liberal Russian radio station Echo of Moscow and has said the following,

“I do not think we should interfere in this issue. Usually, our attempts to interfere in our neighbours”.

On 22 September, the US conducted an airstrike on an ISIS camp in the desert valleys about 150 miles south-east of Sirte, reportedly killing 17 ISIS fighters and destroying 3 vehicles. US Africa Command (Africom) said the strikes were carried out by armed Reaper drones flying from a base in Sicily. Reda Eissa, a spokesman for the Government of National Accord’s (GNA) Misrata-led al-Bunyan al-Marsus (BM) coalition said he had no information about the airstrikes. Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu today warned that every option is on the table for dealing with Iraqi Kurdistan’s independence bid, and that they are considering a joint military operation with the Iraqi central government against the Kurds.

Iran chimed in shortly thereafter, saying they’re eager to stand with both Iraq and Turkey to rule out any possible secession of the Kurds. Top Khamenei adviser Ali Akbar Velayati termed the big “an abhorrent deviation,” adding that the region would “not allow the creation of a second Israel.”

Iraqi officials haven’t directly addressed the possibility of military action against the Kurds, though the Iraqi parliament has approved the deployment of the military into areas contested by the Kurdistan Regional Government.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, the sense I get here, is that we are looking at ethnic cleansing of Iraqi Kurds, and happening quickly.

Turkey, historically, is very comfortable with the concept of genocide:

The first genocide of the 20th Century occurred when two million Armenians living in Turkey were eliminated from their historic homeland through forced deportations and massacres.

As the Turkish government considers much of its own Kurdish population to be "terrorists", belonging to, or adhering to the principals of the PKK (even though many are completely innocent of any violence, and just requesting more rights and freedoms as an ethnic minority in Turkey), They will not hesitate to ethnically cleanse Iraq of its Kurdish population in a heartbeat, given the opportunity.

FOIA: How Police Convinced the FAA to Put a No Fly Zone Over Standing Rock

"We need to ensure the movement of law enforcement trying to protect the innocent is not being broadcast live by the use of drones."

When last year's Dakota Access pipeline (DAPL) protests came to a head, disturbing footage shot by Indigenous drone pilots revealed the extreme brutality of Morton County police.

Using drones, peaceful demonstrators, also called "water protectors," filmed an armored vehicle launching percussion grenades into the crowd; water cannons being fired at civilians; and continued pipeline construction after dark. Their footage helped to expose the military-style tactics used by local law enforcement to suppress dissent—excessive force that is now the subject of a class-action lawsuit filed against Morton County by on behalf of those injured at the Standing Rock protest camp.

Of the many controversial elements surrounding this week’s Kurdish separatist referendum in Iraq, the inclusion of the oil rich region of Kirkuk was among the most controversial.

Kirkuk has never been a part of autonomous Kurdish regions in Iraq, but in spite of this, the secessionist Kurdish leaders included Kirkuk in areas where Kurds voted to secede from Iraq. Crucially, the referendum was boycotted by Kirkuk’s non-Kurdish populations, including Iraqi Arabs.

After giving secessionist leaders a three day ultimatum to handover regional airports to Iraqi authorities, Iraq’s Prime Minister Haider Abadi now has a parliamentary mandate to send Iraqi troops into Kirkuk to police the general security against secessionist activities.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This may well get very bloody, and quickly.

What the Kurdish political leaders fully expected from the US, after being their proxy in Syria, was an independent Kurdistan, but it looks as though the Occupied Unhinged Surveilled States of Amerika is walking back on this.

So now that the referendum has passed, overwhelmingly, just how are those in the Bowels of Power in this country going to play this?!? By supporting the Iraqi government, and betraying the Kurds, or by supporting the Kurds, and betraying the Iraqi government?!?

The US government cannot have this both ways.

Why The United States Is the Fourth Reich

US President Trump’s declaration last week before the UN to “totally destroy” North Korea and his general ranting about American military might is on par with the Nazi Third Reich’s invocation of “Total War”.

The ease with which Trump and his senior officials talk about “military options” towards North Korea, and any other defiant nation, is arguably not just a violation of the UN Charter but also the principles of international law established at the Nuremberg Trials of Nazi leaders. Any use or threat of war that is not a clear act of self-defense is “aggression”.

US May Push Iran Into Becoming Next Nuclear Crisis

It’s no secret that the Trump administration is busily building a case to have the United States repudiate the P5+1 nuclear agreement with Iran. Even when the president grudgingly conceded that Tehran was complying with the explicit terms of the accord, he groused that Iranian leaders were violating “the spirit” of the document.
Unfortunately, administration officials and a vocal flock of hawks in the United States seem determined to sabotage the accord. The latest salvo was the speech that U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley delivered to the ultra-hawkish American Enterprise Institute on September 5. Raimondo: Propaganda and the Catalonian Referendum

The laziness of journalists is legendary. Especially these days, when the line between journalist and propagandist has been blurred, the many ways in which these scribblers take shortcuts and otherwise seek to make their jobs less strenuous have been greatly increased. While outright plagiarism used to be the favored method, with the advance of technology this has become much easier to detect, and so the self-indulgent scribe has moved on other, less obvious shortcuts. The substitution of opinion for the reporting of facts is one way to fill up a page, and, in tandem with this, the adoption of a formula is now a mainstay of “mainstream” journalism. This is unashamedly borrowed from those writers of pure fiction who labor in the fields of various sub-literate genres – say, pornography – and must churn out large quantities of product in order to pay the rent. >>>

The Militarization of the NFL

Professional sports should stop shilling for the warfare state.

Before 2009, Colin Kaepernick would have had to find some other way to protest racism against African Americans. That’s because until the height of the Iraq War, NFL football players weren’t even required to leave the locker room for the national anthem, much less stand for it.

How to Bring Down the Elephant in the Room

First, a painful, but needed, clarification:

Basement crazies. Neocons. Zionists. Israel Lobbyists. Judaics. Jews. Somewhere along this list we bump into the proverbial “elephant in the room”. For some this bumping will happen earlier in the list, for others a little later down the list, but the list will be more or less the same for everybody. Proper etiquette, atleast in the West, would want to make us run away from this topic. I won’t. Why? Well, for one thing I am constantly accused of not discussing this elephant. Furthermore, I am afraid that the role this elephant is playing is particularly toxic right now. So let me try to deal with this beast, but first I have to begin with some caveats.

Very Dangerous Escalation in Syria

By now many of you must have heard the news: a Russian Lieutenant-General, Valery Asapov, and two Colonels have been killed in what appears to be a very precisely targeted mortar attack. Just as in the case of the Russian military police unit recently attacked near Deir ez-Zor, the Russians are accusing the Americans of being behind this attack. To make things even worse, the Russians are now also officially accusing the Americans of actively collaborating with ISIS:

FEMA Director Urges Americans to Develop “a true culture of preparedness” But No One Is Listening

It looks like preppers aren’t that crazy after all. FEMA’s new director, Brock Long, has repeatedly said that Americans do not have a “culture of preparedness,” something that is much-needed with the startling uptick in natural disasters. Long has only been the director of FEMA since June 20 of this year and already has had to deal with a historic number of disasters in this short period of time. Perhaps this reality is why Mr. Long is so adamant that Americans need to get prepared to take care of themselves and that we need to raise our children to understand this too. That’s not the warm fuzzy thing that people who refuse to prepare want to hear, so the mainstream media gives his advice little attention. A culture of preparedness is indeed the answer, and preppers have known this for a very long time.
