Obama denounces emphasis on health care protests

President Barack Obama on Friday denounced what he suggested was news media overemphasis on scenes of angry protesters at town-hall meetings on health care. "TV loves a ruckus," Obama said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to President Obama and Congress: the anger thinking Americans are feeling right now is deep, palpable, and growing by the day.

The health care issue, Ladies and Gentlemen, are just the tip of the iceberg.

Americans are angry at a government which has taxed them to death, with taxpayers having nothing to show for it, the government's colossal borrowing to pay for the wars without end, and the reality that the only entities represented are the large corporations for whom congressional representatives are merely "acquisitions, through overt and covert campaign support.

They understand that we are well and truly in a new phase of "taxation without representation".

People protesting about the government have absolutely legitimate gripes, and should never be characterized as "Un-American"; they are well and truly exercising their First Amendment Right, as guaranteed under the Bill of Rights and Constitution of the United States.

One would hope that this administration would never characterize the Constitution and Bill of Rights "Un-American"; but given their behavior of late, one has to wonder.

A Political Fragging

Documents released from the House Judiciary Committee's two-year investigation into the U.S. Attorney firing scandal reveal that New Mexico U.S. Attorney David Iglesias was fired at the insistence of Karl Rove because he refused to use his office to advance the partisan agenda of the Republican Party during an election cycle.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I a betting person, I would not bet that Rove will actually get convicted of anything. Or, if in fact he is convicted, the conviction will wind up overturned.

Politically, this man is more slippery than the proverbial greased pig.

Learn The Magic Word; That'll Change The World!!!

I learned this from a very Wise Man; so no credit for the idea, here. Take of it as you will, and spread the "WORD". Simply the word, is NO. Try it, just say No, and say it a lot. You say NO when things don't feel right. You say NO when the government is not the servant, but now the master. Say it enough, and the word begins to empower you, and build you into a new improved person. The "Word" takes the power back from the Oppressors, and re instills it in your Soul!!!

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is no freedom without the freedom to say "no."

The Prophecy of Diseased Whores and Vampire Scum.

The FEMA camps and the hundreds of thousands or millions of coffin liners by the sides of the highways are not new housing for the foreclosed upon any more than the coffin liners are actually porto-pottys for government sponsored rock concerts. The outrageous theft of the assets of the American people and the following bailout thefts which added insult to injury is not some sort of escrow account for future philanthropic activities. It really looks like there’s a network of super villains engaged in herding humanity on to the playing fields of Armageddon.

"Grab some clothes and get into the van, now."

For an instant, that directive, and the tone in which it was issued, had the opposite of its intended effect: Korrin and our five older children, momentarily paralyzed by shock, looked at me in alarm. There was something in both the tone of my voice, and the expression on my face, that was new and a little frightening. None of them had seen my "game face" before. They were seeing it now.

Just seconds earlier, Korrin and I had been confronted on our doorstep by two very nice, well-dressed women who informed us that an anonymous "child endangerment" complaint had been filed with the Child Protective Services.

Stimulus transparency watchdogs keep contract details secret

Back in July, a software company named Smartronix landed an $18 million contract to build a Web site where taxpayers could easily track billions in federal stimulus money. It was just another part of the Obama administration’s ongoing effort to bring transparency to stimulus spending, we were told.

But it seems the drive for transparency doesn’t cover the contract itself.

Fiji Water: Selling long-distance water to green yuppie consumers

THE INTERNET CAFÉ in the Fijian capital, Suva, was usually open all night long. Dimly lit, with rows of sleek, modern terminals, the place was packed at all hours with teenage boys playing boisterous rounds of video games. But one day soon after I arrived, the staff told me they now had to shut down by 5 p.m. Police orders, they shrugged: The country's military junta had declared martial law a few days before, and things were a bit tense.

I sat down and sent out a few emails—filling friends in on my visit to the Fiji Water bottling plant, forwarding a story about foreign journalists being kicked off the island. Then my connection died. "It will just be a few minutes," one of the clerks said.

The 'Second American Revolution' Has Begun

The natives are restless. The third shot of the "Second American Revolution" has been fired. History is being made. But just as with the first two shots, the third shot is not being heard.

America is seething. Not since the Civil War has anything like this happened. But the protests are either being intentionally downplayed or ignorantly misinterpreted.

The first shot was fired on April 15, 2009. Over 700 anti-tax rallies and "Tea Parties" erupted nationwide. Rather than acknowledge their significance, the general media either ignored or ridiculed both protests and protestors, playing on "tea bagging" for its sexual innuendo.

Initially President Obama said he was unaware of the tea parties. The White House later warned they could "mutate" into something "unhealthy."

When Scott Wade's car gets covered in dirt, he doesn't just write 'clean me' in the grime - he uses it to create an intricate masterpiece.

The Agony and Irony of the State…

Health care isn’t broken and neither is public education. We are getting exactly the performance one should expect from systems designed by, beholden to, and benefitting the State. "This is America. If you have a gripe, write to your congressperson," we’ve been told. After all, we’re no dirty commies and we don’t live under a dictatorship. Most U.S. citizens have bought into this horseshit.

Here’s the reality.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Barack Obama had a webpage in which he heralded that he wanted to listen to everyone’s opinion. But, there was no e-mail address to send his campaign a message. The only way one could correspond was to sign up for an Obama Supporters group. Then, the webpage said that Obama wanted to hear from everyone why they adored him. I signed up and sent in my gripes, never to receive a reply. I didn’t expect anything else, but at least I went through the motions to be able to say I tried the system and it failed miserably.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Welcome to the new era of taxation without representation.

Our alleged "representatives" in congress? Simply acquisitions of those corporations which support their campaigns, overtly and covertly.

All we are, to these people, is an infinite resource of tax revenue, no matter how badly those taxes are injuring us to the financial breaking point.

So what if we become homeless, due to the economic excesses, bailouts, borrowing, and debt this country has incurred? That doesn't matter, because homeless people can't vote (as though voting really changes an election outcome, with all the rampant fraud which goes on), so good riddance.

What congress members have been seeing and hearing in these town hall meetings, in terms of the deep-spread, boiling anger and disillusion with the catastrophic failure of this government, domestically, geopolitically, and economically, is just the tip of the iceberg.

US cities criminalize homelessness

As the economic crisis continues to intensify, scores of US cities are enacting undemocratic laws that criminalize homelessness and trample on the rights of the growing number of homeless individuals and families who reside in these cities, according to a report released last month.

The level of homelessness has been increasing rapidly since 2007, and attacks on the democratic rights of homeless individuals are also on the increase, according to the report entitled, "Homes Not Handcuffs," which was issued on July 13 by the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty (NLCHP) in coordination with the National Coalition for the Homeless (NCH).

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, to the folks in congress, the newly homeless aren't actually people; they're just statistics.

Statistics, even if they describe what's happening in the various districts of our alleged congressional representatives, don't really matter to them at all.

Homeless people can't register to vote, so - from a standpoint of our "representatives", good riddance! They don't count anymore.

Obama urges $100m for Mexico drugs war

President Barack Obama will press Congress to release more than $100m (£60m) of aid to help Mexico in its war against the drug cartels.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And with homeless Vets, sleeping in our streets?!?

Excuse me, Mr. President: your skewed priorities are showing, big-time.

The logical way to get rid of the drug problem is to decriminalize it, offer treatment, and essentially pull the profit motive out of it. Of course, that would be logical.

We have much to learn from Portugal's changes in drug policies.

As reported in:,8599,1893946,00.html

"The paper, published by Cato in April, found that in the five years after personal possession was decriminalized, illegal drug use among teens in Portugal declined and rates of new HIV infections caused by sharing of dirty needles dropped, while the number of people seeking treatment for drug addiction more than doubled."

""Judging by every metric, decriminalization in Portugal has been a resounding success," says Glenn Greenwald, an attorney, author and fluent Portuguese speaker, who conducted the research. "It has enabled the Portuguese government to manage and control the drug problem far better than virtually every other Western country does."

Obama Promises Solution to Mexico Trucking Conflict After Meeting Calderon

President Barack Obama told his Mexican counterpart Felipe Calderon that he is committed to resolving a dispute over truck access to U.S. highways.

As part of the North American Free Trade Agreement, the U.S. agreed to allow Mexican trucks unrestricted access to deliver goods in the U.S., a pledge it has never fully honored because safety advocates and union officials say Mexico’s trucks and drivers don’t meet U.S. standards. Nafta rules would also have allowed Mexican trucks to pick up cargo to return to Mexico

Webmaster's Commentary:

The question is, just how is Obama looking to resolve this?

The unrestricted delivery of materials from Mexico to the US will be great for the corporations whose products will be shipped across the border, and potentially catastrophic for American truckers, both union and independent.

Who's going to inspect the trucks for safety?

What about the insurance on these vehicles, and what happens if they get involved in an accident?

Who is going to certify that each driver drives well enough, and speaks English well enough to be permitted to drive in the US?

And just how is the program going to be paid for, considering that the US is dead broke, and that state of dead broke isn't going to go away any time soon.

Georgia Parents Fight Military High School

The decision in Georgia comes as the military is taking an ever-increasing role in U.S. public education. The Associated Press reported June 28 that the Marine Corps is in discussion with at least six school districts — including locations in suburban Atlanta, Las Vegas and New Orleans. These schools will require students to wear a uniform, participate in Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) and take military classes.Obama’s Secretary of Education Arne Duncan championed military high schools during his seven-year tenure as CEO of the Chicago school district, helping to open five military-themed schools.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is how the military is attempting to obtain more recruits without this country re-instituting a draft.

The problem is, as muscular as the Obama administration's foreign policy appears to be, even this approach cannot begin to obtain the objective of adding the massive number of troops necessary to fight those current and future wars this administration has in mind without resorting to a draft.

The Start Of The Second American Revolution?

The establishment is scared to death that Americans may see beyond the scope of their partisan divisions and come together to stand up in unison against the offshore bankers and corporations that run the White House, which is why the constant politicized drumbeat that the protesters are nothing more than astroturf Republicans is constantly echoed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo the Obama administration; please don't begin to characterize me as an "enemy" because I am a peaceful, thinking, caring person with some some acute differences of opinion with you on the direction this administration is taking this country.

The policies, both domestic, international, and financial, with their attendant taxation, are not putting this country on a path toward recovery; they are doing precisely the opposite.

The costs of these wars without end, for which this administration seems to have such an insatiable appetite, will be our undoing as a nation.

The tax money that has been spent, and the money borrowed from countries like China to pursue these wars, has caused this country to be carry a massive deficit from which it may never recover.

Yes, many of us are legitimately angry. We understand that we are experiencing the new version of "taxation without representation." Oh yes, we have that kabuki-esque spectacle of elections every so often, but this has become totally irrelevant to the direction of American policy.

Those people called congressional representatives no longer represent the will of their constituents; they have become "acquisitions" of the large corporations which fund their campaigns, overtly and covertly. So that's who gets represented and whose needs get met; not the needs of We the People.

The west's moral failure over Georgia

One year ago, Georgia's leaders ordered a military attack on unarmed civilians in South Ossetia. By any common understanding this action was a war crime and the ensuing conflict led to recognised independence for Abkhazia and South Ossetia, of which we are the elected leaders.

From the moment of the Georgian attack there has been a vast moral abdication in the west, among politicians, intellectuals and media – a failure to honestly confront what Georgia did. This moral failure has profound consequences for us and it is preventing western leadership from dealing realistically with the new boundaries of nationhood here.

After 34 years, Lynette 'Squeaky' Fromme to be released

The president she once pointed a gun at has been dead for nearly three years, and her longtime idol and leader, Charles Manson, remains in prison.

However, Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme is about to get her first taste of real freedom in more than three decades.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Fromme, now 60, is set to be released on parole August 16.

Webmaster's Commentary:

But Leonard Peltier, convicted of a murder the evidence suggests was committed by other parties, remains in jail.

Droning On

When TAC asked me for a piece on military drones, I had to consider which variety of drone was most important: the drone aircraft, the drones who operate the aircraft, or the drones back in the Pentagon who think drive-by shootings can win wars.

Drunk and High...and So F***ing Selfish

My wife, and thousands like her, had no choice. Their lives were savagely ripped from them. I know what it feels like to live through horrific death. I also know what it feels like to raise a 2-year-old by myself. But what I don't know is why people continue to make stupid, irresponsible and selfish choices that bring on such horror and cause death to so many.

Preliminary Injunction Filed To Stop Forced Flu Vaccinations

Austrian journalist, Jane Burgermeister, recently filed criminal charges with the FBI against the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations (UN), and several of the highest ranking government and corporate officials, including Barack Obama & the Rothchilds, concerning bioterrorism and attempts to commit mass murder. She has also prepared an injunction against forced vaccination which is being filed in America. Marines Ban Twitter, MySpace, Facebook

The U.S. Marine Corps has banned Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and other social media sites from its networks, effective immediately.

The Marines’ ban will last a year. It was drawn up in response to a late July warning from U.S. Strategic Command, which told the rest of the military it was considering a Defense Department-wide ban on the Web 2.0 sites, due to network security concerns. Scams, worms, and Trojans often spread unchecked throughout social media sites, passed along from one online friend to the next. “The mechanisms for social networking were never designed for security and filtering. They make it way too easy for people with bad intentions to push malicious code to unsuspecting users,” a Stratcom source told Danger Room.

Aussie straps in beer, not child

A car driver in Australia has been fined for strapping down his beer rather than his young child.

Police said they were "shocked and appalled" when they pulled over the car south of Alice Springs in Australia's Northern Territory.

They said the 30-can pack of beer was strapped down between two adults in the back, with the five-year-old child unrestrained on the floor.

The Challenge of Black Nationalism

The Challenge of Black Nationalism
by Dr. Conrad W.Worrill, PhD.
July 30, 2009
Finally, the Black Nationalist tradition, today, is spearheaded through the African Centered Education Movement. The mass acceptance of Kwanzaa, African Liberation Day, Buy Black Campaigns, the Reparations Movement, and Controlling Our Own Communities Campaigns are all part of the ongoing Black Nationalist tradition.
Without vigorous Black Nationalist thinking and an aggressive Black Nationalist program of action, we will continue to chase false dreams created by our oppressors. We must put an end to this!

In his rousing speech to the NAACP, President Obama praised the civil rights leaders of the past whose sacrifices "began the journey that has led me (to the White House.) He neglected to mention, however, that the majority of those civil rights leaders, most notably Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., opposed the war in Viet Nam and, if they were alive today, likely would oppose his escalation of the war in Afghanistan.

British Lance-Corporal Joe Glenton refuses to go to Afghanistan

Lance-Corporal Joe Glenton, facing court-martial for refusing to be redeployed to Afghanistan, has written to Prime Minister Gordon Brown, saying in part:

"The war in Afghanistan is not reducing the terrorist risk, far from improving Afghan lives it is bringing death and devastation to their country. Britain has no business there. I do not believe that our cause in Afghanistan is just or right. I implore you, sir, to bring our soldiers home."

Wham Bam Bananastan

Mr. Obama is allowing the warmongery to steer him into a course of action that will make America the latest superpower to impale itself on the far side of the Khyber Pass. In 1978 Zbigniew Brzezinski, Jimmy Carter’s national security adviser, manipulated events in a way that turned Afghanistan into the Soviet Union’s Vietnam. "The West should not repeat the mistakes that the Soviets made," he now says. "We are now running the risk of unintentionally duplicating what the Soviets were doing."

Sun Tzu noted, "No nation ever profited from a long war." A headline banner at the Department of Defense Web site reads, "The United States Is a Nation Engaged in What Will Be a Long War."

Obama's Cash for Repos,Stickin' it to da Man

Cash for Repos
August 3, 2009 8:52 am MadBrad
I could say that the name of the customer is Barack Hussein Obama, a guy who did a song and dance to have the opportunity to drive a vehicle he isn’t qualified to drive right into the dirt and then walk away from it saying; “It ain’t nuttin’ but a thang, I really stuck it to da Man”.
What I am really going to enjoy laughing about is how many of the vehicles that have been purchased under the “Cash for Clunkers” program are going to be driven like they were stolen (because they were) and will then be reposessed after they have been mostly destroyed and are only worth a fraction of their original value.

Boosting compounds called adjuvants complicate licensing of pandemic vaccines

TORONTO — As swine flu vaccine becomes available in coming months, boosting compounds known as adjuvants may stretch out limited supplies. But they also pose special challenges for vaccine regulatory agencies in places like Canada and the United States.

Neither country has licensed flu vaccines with adjuvants in them before, making the addition of the oil-and-water emulsions a potential hurdle to plans to fast-track pandemic vaccines. Fast-tracking is based on the premise the vaccine is the same as seasonal flu shots, just targeting a different virus.

Police detain Israelis, Americans linked to massive U.S. tax fraud

The police arrested a number of Israelis and Americans who allegedly defrauded U.S. tax authorities, Army Radio reported on Monday.

The suspects are alleged to have masterminded a scheme whereby they fraudulently obtained tax refunds totaling tens of millions of dollars which were then transferred to various bank accounts in Israel.

A hearing is scheduled for Monday afternoon in the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, where the suspects will be arraigned.

They are being held on charges of money laundering, fraud, forgery and a number of tax offenses.

The affair follows a similar case last month in which 11 Israelis were arrested for allegedly swindling elderly Americans out of more than $25 million in a telemarketing sting.

Why a third of women want to give up work to look after their children

More than a third of working mothers want to quit their jobs to look after their children, research suggests.

A further six in ten would like to reduce their hours to spend more time with their young ones, the Government-backed study found.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In the 1990s, feminists exhorted women to leave their homes and go to work. The feminists didn't say women should have a choice in the matter. The social expectation of home-maker was simply replaced with a new social expectation of career path. The door was not merely opened into the executive quite; women were kicked through it. Indeed women who wanted to stay at home with their children were looked on as socially inferior.

Then the economy started to change and women in the workplace discovered they could not go back to staying at home with the kids. Two working parents became the social norm, with the government happy as hell to collect the additional taxes. Raising the children feel to the school/indoctrination centers and TV. Mom's home-cooked meals gave way to processed food. Profits and revenues went up while the social and health consequences continued to climb.

Behind the revenue stream was a darker issue. In hindsight, the push to make women independent came with a parallel program to demonize men, call them all potential rapists, and make them disposable. Looking back it was obvious even then that a prolonged war was being planned and men had to be freed up to be soldiers.

The 1990s was a repeat of the "Rosie the Riveter" campaign that lured WW2 women out of their homes and into the factories so that the men could be shipped off to be killed in war.

After WW2 ended the media pushed the image of "mother at home" as new fashion ideal. TV shows like "Leave it to Beaver" and "Father knows best" persuaded women to leave the factories in order that returning soldiers would find jobs. It was all social engineering and manipulation and while it may have worked well in the 1950s, women today with a sense of history are realizing they have been scammed and that what they thought was freedom of choice was really just another imposed societal expectation. The extra cash they thought they would earn has all but vanished into higher taxes and child-care costs, not to mention the expensive wardrobe, second car and other accouterments of the modern workplace. Meanwhile women are just now realize what men have known all along; it is painful to watch ones children grow up from afar.

Woken want out. But they are trapped just as trapped as they were told they were when they stayed at home with the kids.

One has to wonder why people never learn from the lessons of history. Why is it that the rulers and enforcers of laws turn a blind eye to the atrociousness and retributions leveled upon them from days past, justified by the brutality of power madness currently sweeping the landscape? Do they think they are going to continue along this destructive path and not suffer the consequences when history repeatedly proves otherwise? Are they that stupid to believe they can treat people like herds of stock and not get gored?

Members of state workers union grant authorization for strike

California's largest state employees' union voted on Saturday to approve a strike authorization measure to protest furloughs of state workers and pressure state officials to ratify its labor contract.

A spokesman for Service Employees International Union Local 1000 said a strike was not imminent but that the vote authorized union officers to initiate certain job actions, including a strike if necessary.

The SEIU represents about 95,000 state employees, including clerical workers and teachers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Given California's current economic situation, this union may very well find itself broken if they actually strike.

A chip off the old block.

Write them off as impromptu indiscretions, or as off-the-cuff remarks not to be taken as formal expressions of policy, but diplomatic time-bombs tossed casually in the past month by his Vice President and his Secretary of State are exposing President Barack Obama to something dangerously close to ridicule on the international stage.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The only "change" we have witnessed from this administration is that of having an infinitely more telegenic pitch-person feeding us precisely the same kind of tripe the previous administration attempted to ram down the throats of Americans; the only difference here appears to be that Obama looks infinitely better doing and saying precisely what Bush and his minions did and said.

This is going to lead to calamitous problems geopolitically in the weeks and months ahead.
