In New York, 88,000 people have applied for 55 affordable apartments in a single building
You may recall the infamous "poor door" development in New York — a luxury high-rise condo in Manhattan designed to include 55 affordable units that will be accessible from a separate entrance. The developer, Extell, agreed to include the below market-rate apartments in exchange for permission from the city to construct a larger building on the site than the zoning code would normally allow. Affordable housing advocates, the mayor and the media, though, cried foul when they realized that Extell intended to separate the rich from the poor.

Jewish money flooding Presidential campaign. Lindsey Graham jokes he will have “all-Jewish Cabinet.”

A joke by Lindsey Graham to the extent that he expects so much Jewish money due to his shameless shilling for Israel that he will have to appoint an “all-Jewish cabinet” says so much about the state of politics in America. Some Jewish journalists in fact have voiced their discomfort with Graham’s jokes because it could open people’s eyes to the link between Jewish money, the appointment of Jewish officials, and pro-Israel policies.

The silence of Greville Janner - Child Sex Crimes Coverup

If Britain’s leading law officer thought she was putting an unfortunate episode to rest when she tried to quietly drop her most difficult case then she was in for a rude shock — people are in no mood to let the child rape charges against Lord Greville Janner go unanswered.

The explosion of outrage at this inexplicable decision has ensured that, for once, it will not go unchallenged. The injustice is too overwhelming, the double standard too glaring and the incompetence is too blatant.

Brilliant 8-Year-Old Pens Brutal Letter to Michelle Obama

District Attorney Says Encrypted Phones May Make You a Terrorist Because They “Cannot Be Accessed by Law Enforcement”

As we reported last week, even the Third Amendment can now be violated so that law enforcement officials can forcibly occupy your home to gain a tactical advantage against criminal or terror suspects.

This is America in 2015 so it’s no surprise that Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, Jr. wants total access to your personal effects. If it were up to Vance, you as an individual would have no right to secure your personal phone or computer data. As far as the DA is concerned, if you are encrypting your passwords, private messages, and personal notes you are denying nosy big government operatives the intrusive access they so desperately need to control you.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This country's elites have said "good bye and good rubbish" to the protections which used to be extended to ordinary working people under the Bill of Rights and Constitution, and they are trying desperately to make this lack of on-line liberty stick.

But it cannot, and it won't, because people not only want, but also deserve, their privacy on line. Wanting to keep private communication private should not be construed as alleged "terroristic behaviour".

The Federal Government cannot decrypt everything, and those 6 NSA challenges Mike has done have gone completely unanswered, although we know that several people (most likely from one of the "Alphabet Soup" agencies) have tried, and failed miserably.

Exclusive: Wary of natural disaster, NY Fed bulks up in Chicago

The New York branch of the U.S. Federal Reserve, wary that a natural disaster or other eventuality could shut down its market operations as it approaches an interest rate hike, has added staff and bulked up its satellite office in Chicago.

Some market technicians have transferred from New York and others were hired at the office housed in the Chicago Fed, according to several people familiar with the build-out that began about two years ago, after Hurricane Sandy struck Manhattan.

Officials believe the Chicago staffers can now handle all of the market operations that are done daily out of the New York Fed, which is the U.S. central bank's main conduit to Wall Street.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I don't think it is a natural disaster they are worried about so much as an angry mob with torches and pitchforks descending on Wall Street ... like the people of Illinois with torches and pitchforks don't know the FED is there as well!

Human rights advocates, military see violent video games as teaching tool

Webmaster's Commentary:

As reported in 2013 at killscreendaily.com:

As it turns out, Ender's Game has been extremely influential in the way the military views videogames as a training tool for soldiers. According to Corey Mead: "The whole idea of what Ender's Game is—young people fighting a war—is what influenced [the military]. And they totally did it." In his new book War Play: Video Games and the Future of Armed Conflict, Mead explores the U.S. military's use of videogames as a tool for recruitment, training, and treatment. This recent interest in videogames reflects a shift in what it wants from its soldiers. "For the first time in its history‚" Mead writes, "the military wants to teach even junior personnel not just what to think but how to think." This change has taken place primarily because of the U.S.'s involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq, where a soldier isn't just fighting but is tasked with a number of different jobs, requiring different skills, tactics, and cultural understanding. The military's expanding interest in videogames is well illustrated by America's Army, the first military-developed game. It was a free-to-play first-person shooter that simulated a more realistic approach to warfare, even forcing players to sit through boot camp before allowing them to engage in combat online. The game was originally developed in 2002 for $7.5 million—a third of a percent of the army's marketing budget —and is one of the military's most successful recruiting pushes ever.

IF you are a mom or dad out there with a kid who loves video games....just please be aware of WHAT they are playing, OK?!?

Oxfam Condemns Coalition Airstrike on Humanitarian Aid Warehouse in Yemen

Grace Ommer, Oxfam's country director in Yemen, called on the warring sides of Yemen's conflict to establish peace and allow for humanitarian access.

Oxfam strongly condemned Monday the bombing of one of its warehouses in Saada Governorate in the north of Yemen.

"This is an absolute outrage particularly when one considers that we have shared detailed information with the Coalition on the locations of our offices and storage facilities," Grace Ommer, Oxfam's country director in Yemen, was quoted as saying by the organization on its website.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am having a palm to forehead moment, at almost terminal velocity, upon reading this.

Is this woman pathologically incapable of understanding that when Oxfam gives the coalition the GPS locations of food storage places within Yemen, these places will be bombed out of existence?!?

Misery is just what the US and Saudi forces want to inflict on the people of Yemen, who had the utter audacity to throw the US-sponsored puppet, Al-Madi, out on his keister.

There have been reports of schools and hospitals being shelled. As reported in the latimes.com 5 days ago:

Pentagon officials, who pride themselves on the care they take to avoid civilian casualties, have watched with growing alarm as Saudi airstrikes have hit what the U.N. this week called "dozens of public buildings," including hospitals, schools, residential areas and mosques. The U.N. said at least 364 civilians have been killed in the campaign. lRelated Al Qaeda seizes Yemen airport, military base; U.N. envoy resigns MIDDLE EAST Al Qaeda seizes Yemen airport, military base; U.N. envoy resigns SEE ALL RELATED 8 Although U.S. personnel don't pick the bombing targets, Americans are working beside Saudi military officials to check the accuracy of target lists in a joint operations center in Riyadh, defense officials said. The Pentagon has expedited delivery of GPS-guided "smart" bomb kits to the Saudi air force to replenish supplies.

And IF, as the article asserts, "Americans are working beside Saudi military officials to check the accuracy of target lists in a joint operations center in Riyadh", only one of two things is possible here: either these civilian targets are being deliberately hit to create as much human carnage and misery possible, or the Saudis, using US gps "smart bombs" cannot shoot straight!!

Pennsylvania police officer charged with murdering suspect

A Pennsylvania police officer waived a preliminary hearing Monday on charges that she murdered a man who had run away from a traffic stop by shooting him twice in the back as he lay face-down in the snow.

Officer Lisa Mearkle, 36, appeared before a district judge on Monday and waived her right to a hearing to determine whether there was enough evidence to justify a trial. She is free on $250,000 bail with electronic monitoring.

The victim, David Kassick, 59, of Hummelstown, died shortly after being shot on Feb. 2. Kassick, who like Mearkle was white, was unarmed and had run away from a traffic stop.

The case is the latest in a string of controversial police shootings captured on video. Earlier this month, a South Carolina policeman was charged with murder for fatally shooting an unarmed man in the back as he ran away.

Courtroom erupts after judge finds Chicago cop not guilty in Rekia Boyd fatal shooting trial

A judge on Monday found Chicago police officer Dante Servin not guilty of involuntary manslaughter, saying there was no evidence he acted recklessly when he killed Rekia Boyd, 22, in an off-duty shooting in 2012.

After a four-day bench trial, which is heard before a judge without a jury, Cook County Associate Judge Dennis Porter said in a written finding that Servin’s actions were intentional and so did not fit the charges brought by the state’s attorney.

Boyd’s family erupted in shouts and tears after the ruling.

“They said a lot of charges didn’t fit,” said Boyd’s brother, Martinez Sutton, outside the courthouse, in tears. “I was promised that they were going to take this officer down.”

A few protesters held a large sign reading “STOP murder by police” and photographs of some 20 black people who have been killed by police across the country, including Boyd.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The killings of MANY unarmed people in the Police State of Amerika has grown exponentially, and partially because police across the country are getting their training from former, or current, members of Israel's IDF, which means that now, US citizens are treated with the same deadly contempt as are the Palestinians.

And the only thing the police officer has to say at the trial, to get him or her legally off the hook, is that they "believed their lives to be in danger."

That's it,folks.

Unsound Banking: Why Most of the World’s Banks Are Headed for Collapse

Doug Casey

You’re likely thinking that a discussion of “sound banking” will be a bit boring. Well, banking should be boring. And we’re sure officials at central banks all over the world today—many of whom have trouble sleeping—wish it were.

This brief article will explain why the world’s banking system is unsound, and what differentiates a sound from an unsound bank. I suspect not one person in 1,000 actually understands the difference. As a result, the world’s economy is now based upon unsound banks dealing in unsound currencies. Both have degenerated considerably from their origins...

BILL BEFORE CONGRESS WOULD AUTHORIZE SECRECY AND SURVEILLANCE, NOT "CYBER SECURITY"

A provision in the falsely-named "cyber security" bill currently being debated in congress would—in addition to enabling more warrantless government spying—create a gaping hole in the Freedom of Information Act, potentially allowing federal agencies to keep secret any information they don't want made public. The new exemption to FOIA would cover all "information shared with or provided to the Federal Government" through the so-called "cyber security" information sharing program, Politico reports.

Senators Chuck Grassley and Pat Leahy have raised concerns about the provision. Politico quotes Grassley from a 2012 hearing on a similar proposal:

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is painfully ironic that President Obama, a former lecturer on Constitutional law, appears, in his behaviour, to loathe and and despise the Constitution and Bill of Rights with a staggering intensity.

BRAIN-DAMAGED VICTIMS OF SWINE FLU VACCINE WIN $63 MILLION LAWSUIT AGAINST GLAXOSMITHKLINE

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is in the news again making headlines after having to settle another major lawsuit bringing the latest total to over $9.1 billion since 2003. This time, it is due to GSK’s product Pandemrix, which was the swine flu vaccine forced upon the public during the pandemic of 2009 (which is argued by some to have been fake). As the victims are being compensated in the U.K., the same neurological mechanisms that damaged the children in the lawsuit are still potentially at work in the confirmed excitotoxicity that takes place after many vaccine injections.

According to the International Business Times U.K. Edition, each of the victims is “expected to receive £1 million each.” Peter Todd, a lawyer who represented many of the claimants, told the Sunday Times (U.K.):

“There has never been a case like this before. The victims of this vaccine have an incurable and lifelong condition and will require extensive medication.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The way to STOP this madness, of letting unsafe vaccines get out on the market, and causing people irreparable harm, has to do not only with compensating the victims, but also jailing those who signed off on bringing a vaccine to market, when all the test protocols were not vigorously followed, or who knew the drug was unsafe, but signed off on it anyway.

And I am NOT talking a "Club Fed".

Only when executives know that they will be personally liable for making that decision, and deciding unwisely will cost them more than money, will some sanity start to come to the vaccine industry.

And NO, I am not an "anti-vaxxer"; I had an anti-pneumonia vaccine right after Mike got out of the hospital last year, recovering from pneumonia.

I do encourage parents, if you are not in a "mandatory vaccination state", to do the research on the vaccines the State wants your kids to have before entering school. Some parents have the vaccinations done singly, not in a blended dose, because they think it is more safe for their child.

Just, please, do the due diligence, and remember; the medical-industrial complex is worth BILLIONS of dollars every year, so they have a vested interest in seeing you taking all the prescribe shots, because it's money in the bank for them.

5 Baffling Dick Moves That Won Actual Lawsuits

Dr. Richard O. Phillips was slapped with a paternity lawsuit by Dr. Sharon Irons, with whom he'd once had a quick and lurid affair. A paternity test revealed that Phillips was the father of Irons' child. And yet Phillips was still somewhat skeptical of Irons's claim ... because the only sex they had was of the oral variety.

No, Dr. Phillips didn't have sperm with a serious "can-do" attitude -- after performing oral sex on him, Irons squirreled away the man's ejaculate and later used it to impregnate herself. And since Phillips was undeniably the father, the court ruled that he was on the hook for $800 a month in child support, making for possibly the first case of a man paying for a blowjob on installments.

STUNNED GREEKS REACT TO INITIAL CAPITAL CONTROLS AND THE “DECREE TO CONFISCATE RESERVES”, AND THEY ARE NOT HAPPY

Earlier today, following weeks of speculation, Greece finally launched the first shot across the bow of capital controls, when it decreed that due to an “extremely urgent and unforeseen need” (ironically the need was quite foreseen since about 2010, but that is a different story), it would be “obliged” to transfer – as in confiscate - “idle cash reserves”located across the country’s local governments (i.e., various cities and municipalities) to the Greek central bank.

Bloomberg reports, that “as Greece struggles to find cash to stay afloat, local authorities say they oppose a government decision to use their reserves for short-term financing.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

So now, to fulfill their obligations to the IMF, Greeks are going to be robbed of the money they have earned?!?

THE BANKSTER WAR ON CASH; JP MORGAN CHASE BEGINS TO PROHIBIT THE STORAGE OF CASH IN ITS SAFETY DEPOSIT BOXES

Letters are apparently going out to some JPMoragnChase customers announcing that cash will be prohibited from being stored in the bank's safety deposit boxes.

At the Collectors Universe message board, a commenter reports:
My mother has a SDB at a Chase branch with one of my siblings as co-signers. Last week they got a letter outlining a number of changes to the lease agreement, including this:

"Contents of the box: You agree not to store any cash or coins other than those found to have a collectible value."

Another change is that signatures will no longer be accepted to access the box. The next time they go in they have to bring two forms of ID and they will be issued a four-digit pin number that will be used to access the box then and in the future.

POLICE WORKING WITH DHS & MOTOROLA ARE USING PRIVATE SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS TO CREATE A MASSIVE SPY NETWORK

When a 911 call comes in, St. Louis police now may be able to see the scene before responding officers have time to arrive.

It’s part of the Real Time Crime Center, opened Thursday to bring together an array of electronic resources — including a network of public and private surveillance cameras!

DHS puppet, St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson said:

“Today is a great day for law enforcement and a bad day for criminals in the city of St. Louis.” That says it all right there, law enforcement considers it a great day, when private corporations work with law enforcement to spy on you. Dotson adds, “Cameras in public space are a part of everyday life. The case study is there, the examples are there, we’re just getting caught up.”

Access to private cameras also means not having to wait for a business to open to examine its recorded images, Lt. Brent Feig said. “We’re really leveraging the public space,” he said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I a resident of St. Louis, I do not believe that I would be "more safe", with this equipment in place; rather, I would understand that the 4th Amendment, which used to protect US citizens against unreasonable search and seizure, no longer exists in practice, nationally.

I understand that I continue to sound like a chipped CD on this issue, but people with skills and kids, GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS COUNTRY WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!

When a Black Cop Killed an Innocent White Youth in Utah, the Press Was Silent
It has been reported that cops kill about 500 innocent Americans per year. More whites than blacks are victims of deadly police shootings. Yet most of those stories stay buried or at best, see limited life in local media or the blogosphere. Only the select, as in selected by the media, stories become as big as the Michael Brown story. Certain stories simply transcend the perceived boredom of news headlines and become a part of pop culture.

That means South Sound residents might notice explosions from artillery and rockets that JBLM soldiers in recent years predominantly have fired at the Yakima Training Center in Central Washington.

Holocaust survivors expect satisfaction in facing aged Nazi defendant

As Auschwitz survivor Hedy Bohm, 86, put it during a news conference on the eve of the trial, bringing charges against a man who’s admitted he was on the platform during the infamous “selections” at the Nazi death camp in Poland is now more important as “process rather than punishment.”
Note: It will never be enough never! All these survivors prove there was no extermination action. Also, I hope when the Palestinians have their day the Israelis will be on trial for centuries.

Israeli leaders refuse to meet Carter because of ‘anti-Israel’ views

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have turned down a request from former US President Jimmy Carter to meet during his upcoming visit to the occupied Palestinian territories because of Carter’s 'anti-Israel' stance, a report says.

According to an unnamed Israeli official, both leaders refused to meet Carter following consultations between the Israeli foreign ministry and the national security council of the premier’s office, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported on Monday.

The foreign ministry urged Rivlin and Netanyahu to refrain from meeting the 90-year-old due to his "anti-Israeli stance" over the last few years, according to the official.

The report said that Israel has allowed Carter to visit the besieged Gaza Strip during his visit.

NSA CHIEF: RULES OF WAR APPLY TO CYBERWAR, TOO

In June 2011, the Pentagon acknowledged the existence of a list of secret weapons and offensive capabilities but didn’t detail what the items were. Probably the most famous cyber weapon of all time, the Stuxnet worm that crippled Iranian nuclear enrichment at the Natanz facility in 2010, remains officially unattributed despite wide suspicion that it was built and deployed by the United States, Israel, or both. ? In the tightly controlled discussion about cyber weapons, this counts as a step toward transparency.

Freak Cold Snap Destroys Millions of Seedlings for BC Reforestation

Provincial reforestation efforts will be delayed in southern B.C. this spring after more than 2 million seedlings were severely damaged by unpredictable weather.

According to government officials, approximately 2.5 million trees that were to be planted in the area were severely damaged by polar winds. That number represents about five per cent of the 50 million seedlings scheduled to be planted this spring by the B.C. government.

The affected trees are too damaged to be planted, putting some reforestation efforts on hold. The tree planting was scheduled to begin across B.C. this month.

Baltimore Man Dies From Injuries Sustained While In Police Detention

The arrest, captured on video, has raised more questions about police tactics. Police say Gray was fine when he was placed in a van and transported. But his family says his spine was severed 80 percent from his neck. The question: what happened, and when. Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has promised transparency and a full investigation, but the Gray family attorney said in a statement they believed the police are keeping the circumstances of Freddie's death secret until they develop a version of events that will absolve them of all responsibility.

The Big Idea: California Is So Over

The water situation reflects this breakdown in the starkest way. Everyone who follows California knew it was inevitable we would suffer a long-term drought. Most of the state—including the Bay Area as well as greater Los Angeles—is semi-arid, and could barely support more than a tiny fraction of its current population. California’s response to aridity has always been primarily an engineering one that followed the old Roman model of siphoning water from the high country to service cities and farms.

But since the 1970s, California’s water system has become the prisoner of politics and posturing. The great aqueducts connecting the population centers with the great Sierra snowpack are all products of an earlier era—the Los Angeles aqueduct (1913), Hetch-Hetchy (1923), the Central Valley Project (1937), and the California Aqueduct (1974). The primary opposition to expansion has been the green left, which rejects water storage projects as irrelevant.
