Saudis Plan $40 Billion US Investment To "Cement Ties With Trump"

Having gone all-in on a Hillary Clinton victory ahead of the elections, Saudi Arabia has quickly pivoted in its "appreciation" of the Trump administration, and having realized that the fastest way to Trump's heart is through the US Treasury's bank account, it is preparing to invest an "unprecedented" amount of money in the US. According to Bloomberg, the Kingdom’s sovereign wealth fund will announce plans to "deploy as much as $40 billion into U.S. infrastructure." The investment will likely be unveiled as early as next week when Trump is scheduled to visit the kingdom.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation; this assures that the US military will continue abetting the Saudi genocide in Yemen, and continue to be a partner to its war crimes.

Bangladesh prime minister says Clinton personally pressured her to help foundation donor

While secretary of state, Hillary Clinton made a personal call to pressure Bangladesh’s prime minister to aid a donor to her husband’s charitable foundation despite federal ethics laws that require government officials to recuse themselves from matters that could impact their spouse’s business.

The Office of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina confirmed to Circa that Mrs. Clinton called her office in March 2011 to demand that Dr. Muhammed Yunus, a 2006 Nobel Peace prize winner, be restored to his role as chairman of the country’s most famous microcredit bank, Grameen Bank. The bank’s nonprofit Grameen America, which Yunus chairs, has given between $100,000 and $250,000 to the Clinton Global Initiative. Grameen Research, which is chaired by Yunus, has donated between $25,000 and $50,000, according to the Clinton Foundation website.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is PRECISELY the kind of action Clinton Cronies expected, when they contributed to the Clinton Foundation.

US Sponsored “Regime Change” in Venezuela is Now Official. US National Security Advisor McMaster Calls for a “Quick, Peaceful Solution”

United States National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster released an official statement Saturday expressing the need for a “quick and peaceful solution” to Venezuela’s “ongoing crisis”.

The press release was made public after McMaster met with Venezuelan opposition leader and current National Assembly President Julio Borges at the White House earlier that day.

It reads:

“They [Borges and McMaster] discussed the ongoing crisis in Venezuela and the need for the government to adhere to the Venezuelan Constitution, release political prisoners, respect the National Assembly, and hold free and democratic elections.”

Despite the deadly unrest, opposition leaders have said that they will boycott a constituent assembly called by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro as a way out of the impasse and have continued to call for their supporters to take to the streets.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The demonisation and destabilization of Venezuela continues apace, courtesy of those in the bowels of power in the Unhinged States of America.

U.S. New “Plan B” for Syria: Military Escalation

According to the Pentagon, it isn’t necessary to tarnish Syrian President, Bashar Assad, for the U.S.-led coalition’s large-scale invasion to Syria. It is enough to make ISIS cross the Jordanian border. Such a scenario was discussed by Assad at the end of April this year.

This time Washington decided to rely on the Free Syrian Army (FSA), that began an offensive against ISIS in Syria’s Daraa, located about 13 kilometers north of the border with Jordan, on May 9, 2017. Apparently, according to the coalition command, the FSA will force the Islamists to leave their positions and cross the Jordanian border.

In its turn, this could be an ideal pretext for the coalition’s immediate ‘defense’ of its ally. So, according to our sources, more than 400 units of US military equipment and more than 4,000 soldiers have already been deployed along the border between Syria and Jordan. This fact indicates the ongoing preparation for the operation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am getting a sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach, that this "exercise" is simply a cover for a planned invasion of Syria, to be set up by the use of a false flag.

And if, in fact, the US military does this, how, please, does the Pentagon and White House believe Russia is going to react?!?

I can absolutely assure you; President Putin, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, and Sergei Lavrov, will NOT be holding hands, and singing "Kumbyah", should such a situation develop.

How To Smuggle US Nuclear Triggers to Israel

New DHS files raise questions about Arnon Milchan’s US visa.

On May 3, 2017 the Department of Homeland Security released the most detailed files to date on the 1979-1983 Richard Kelly Smyth/Arnon Milchan/Benjamin Netanyahu krytron smuggling ring. The 100-page dossier (PDF) answers important questions about how highly sensitive US nuclear weapons technologies were smuggled out of the country in the early 1980s.

The pages leave two key questions unanswered. The first is why Arnon Milchan was not indicted alongside his co-conspirator Richard Kelly Smyth. The second is why in 2016 Secretary of State John Kerry granted Milchan a long-term visa to reside in the United States even after career Department of State officials initially refused.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why does this not surprise me, nor surprise me that Benjamin Netanyahu, the current Prime Minister of Israel, was involved?!?

Moon Elected in South Korea, Promising New Push for Peace With North

Moon is a major departure from the recent string of hawks in the South Korean presidency, advocating peaceful reunification with North Korea and promising to visit the reclusive nation at the first opportunity after the election. He is seen as keen to return to the Sunshine Policy of the early 2000s, aimed at improving bilateral ties and trying to avoid war.

That’s not likely to sit well with the Trump Administration, which has repeatedly panned diplomacy in general as a “failed” tactic and has been talking up increasingly confrontational policies toward North Korea. Moon, however, is well aware of this, saying he thinks it is very important that South Korea should develop a less lop-sided relationship with the US ,and “learn to say no to the Americans.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Those in the Bowels of Power in the Unhinged States of America will not take very kindly to Moon's peaceful approach, and even as I am typing this, are probably plotting ways to make a peaceful rapprochement with North Korea absolutely impossible.

Gaza's Health Ministry warns: Palestinian Authority to stop sending medicine, baby formula to hospitals

‘This decision has destructive implications for the chronically ill and children,’ a ministry official says, adding he sees Ramallah's decision as a political one.

The Palestinian Authority is to stop providing medicines and baby formula to hospitals in the Gaza Strip, which could have disastrous consequences for residents in the Strip, the Health Ministry in Gaza warned Tuesday.

The director general of the Gazan Health Ministry’s pharmacy department, Dr. Munir al-Bursh, was quoted on a number of Palestinian websites identified with Hamas as saying this was a political decision. He is in contact with senior officials in the Health Ministry in the West Bank to determine the meaning of the decision – which was announced by Ramallah on Tuesday – and how long it will be in effect, he said.

Haaretz reported last month that the PA was taking a number of steps to punish the Hamas government in Gaza, and that the PA intended to reduce health expenditures in Gaza this month.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Punishing sick people, and sick children, as a "political message", President Abbas?!?

That, sir, is criminal in the extreme.

Retired General: Jordan Won’t Support Ground Invasion of Syria

A new round of joint military exercises has fueled considerable speculation among Jordanians that their government may be about to participate in a surprise US invasion of Syria. The speculation was growing to the point Syria issued a statement yesterday warning them against doing so.

Those familiar with the situation say it’s likely an idle rumor, however, with retired Gen. Mousa al-Odwan, a former special forces commander, saying he doesn’t believe the Jordanian government would offer direct military support in the event of any ground invasion of Syria.

Jordanian political analysts appeared to agree with this assessment, saying their nation’s military is in no position to get into a protracted involvement in a ground war in Syria, and that doing so would have “dire consequences” for the nation’s military and its stability.

While Jordan isn’t on good terms with Syria, their official stance is that the Syrian Civil War should be resolved peacefully.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would certainly like to hope that General Mousa al-Odwan's assessment of the situation is correct.

However, the following images are very disturbing, from zerohedge.com, a blog which is very, rarely wrong:

NEW FBI BOSS: TRUMP LOOKS AT SURVEILLANCE STATE ADVOCATE MIKE ROGERS

President Trump is considering the former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee to replace James Comey, according to Bloomberg.

Rogers is a seasoned swamp veteran and an ardent supporter of the surveillance state.

In 2013, he voiced his support for NSA surveillance programs. “You can’t have your privacy violated if you don’t know your privacy is violated,” he said.

In 2006 as a congress critter, he voted to allow electronic surveillance without a warrant, a direct violation of the Fourth Amendment. He voted to let the government gather intelligence without congressional oversight and also voted to extend the PATRIOT Act.

Rogers voted for $78 billion in “emergency” funds to keep the pointless wars going in Iraq and Afghanistan and also voted against bringing the troops home. He voted yes to declare the Iraq occupation part of the endless war on terror.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Lord, please tell me that even though President Trump may be looking at this guy, please tell me that President Trump will have a second thought, and go for someone who is at least to some degree morally upright!!

“PEOPLE ARE MOVING AROUND ON TOP OF THIS POWDER KEG”

A half-hour before dawn, the pedestrian bridges that connect the Venezuelan towns of San Antonio and Ureña with the Colombian city of Cúcuta begin to fill with people. The traffic is circular, as it has been for years, with large numbers crossing in both directions — but those headed into Colombia are greater in number.

Venezuelans crossing the border are easily distinguished by their luggage. Many drag rolling suitcases behind them, bulging at the edges; others lug duffel bags and cardboard boxes on their shoulders. Some even have their cats and dogs in pet carriers.

In January, 47,095 Venezuelans entered Colombia, more than double the number from January of last year. Some 21,000 of them crossed into Norte de Santander, the state of which Cúcuta is the capital. Here and at other points along the nearly 1,400-mile border, the situation is beginning to feel like a refugee crisis.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This cannot stand for very much longer, as the center, in Venezuela, both socially, and economically, cannot hold.

Hillary Building Group to Fund Trump Protesters (Video)

Hillary Clinton was so arrogant during the general election that she didn’t even bother having a concession speech prepared. And now, even after being soundly defeated, she just can’t deal with it. Not content with working together with the administration for the betterment of the country, she has instead decided to become an obstacle. Will someone buy this woman a goldfish or something? Keep her busy...

In the following video, Right Wing News looks at recent reports detailing how Hillary Clinton is building a group called Onward Together, whose sole purpose is to “fund organizations working on the resistance to President Donald Trump’s agenda.” This sort of desperation shown by Clinton is so pathetic it’s almost sad; when will she ever learn?

Truth About Hillary’s Fainting Spell Finally Comes Out… Worse Than We Thought (Video)

Loyalty to the wrong people can bring about your downfall, as Hillary Clinton found out with her top advisor, Huma Abedin. After being embroiled in her own controversy with her estranged husband, Anthony Wiener, the smart thing to do would have been to remove her from the campaign. Clinton didn’t and look where that got her. And now, news has emerged that Abedin might even have been indirectly responsible for Clinton’s infamous fainting spell.

In the following video, Right Wing News looks at excerpts from the book “Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign”, which details how Abedin knew about Hillary’s pneumonia diagnosis but kept it from the rest of the staff. Her reasoning? To maintain her stance as ‘Clinton’s closest and most trusted’. Perhaps we should be thanking Abedin for her folly, but Trump could also do well to learn from the mistakes of his rival.

Exclusive–James Comey ‘Threw the Reputation of the FBI Under the Bus,’ Says Bureau’s Former Assistant Director

The former assistant director of the FBI tells Breitbart News that President Donald Trump fired bureau director James Comey for legitimate reasons.

“He was fired for cause in my view,” James Kallstrom informs Breitbart News. “When the referral came to the bureau close to a year ago, Comey knew at that point, if not soon after, that the Justice Department had no interest in conducting a criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton. They would never approve a grand jury and they would never approve an indictment.”

Kallstrom faults Comey for presiding over a “sham” investigation of Clinton. From granting unnecessary immunity deals to conducting an interview of Clinton not under oath to too slickly issuing a document dump the day after the Fourth of July, the FBI deviated from standard-operating procedure during the investigation of the former secretary of state’s reliance on private servers to send and receive classified material, Kalstrom says.

Thousands Flee Chicago For Safer Areas Of The Country As America’s Third Largest City Becomes A Gang-Infested Wasteland

Did you know that the number of murders increased by almost 60 percent in the city of Chicago last year? And as you will see below, this year gang violence in the Windy City has risen to a new level of viciousness. A staggering 9.5 million people live in the Chicago metropolitan area, and it was once known primarily for great pizza, bitter cold and some of the best sports fans on the entire planet. But now the number one thing that comes to mind for many when they think about the city of Chicago is gang violence. As it becomes clear that things are not going to turn around any time soon, thousands of residents are leaving the city for safer areas of the nation. In fact, Cook County lost more people than any other county in America last year by a very wide margin.
When your murder rate goes up by double digits in a single year, you have got a problem.

An acute outbreak of cholera-related cases in war-torn Yemen has claimed the lives of at least 34 people in the past two weeks with over 2,000 people still sick, WHO has said. Meanwhile, Doctors Without Borders has warned that the outbreak could spiral out of control.

“There have been 34 cholera-associated deaths and 2,022 cases of acute watery diarrhea in nine governorates, including Sana'a, during the period of April 27 to May 7,” a World Health Organization (WHO) official told AFP.

Cholera, which causes severe dysentery and vomiting, can develop in areas with poor sanitation and is contracted by coming into contact with contaminated water sources.

Webmaster's Commentary:

While cholera has not been weaponised, per se, it is documented as having been used to poison water sources:

During the closing stages of the Rhodesian Bush War, the Rhodesian government resorted to use chemical and biological warfare agents. Watercourses at several sites inside the Mozambique border were deliberately contaminated with cholera. These biological attacks had little impact on the fighting capability of ZANLA, but caused considerable distress to the local population. The Rhodesians also experimented with several other pathogens and toxins for use in their counterinsurgency. [67]

So, one has to wonder; have the Saudis taken a page from the biological warfare book, and done this to the water in Yemen?!?

You can bet that the Saudi military are not drinking from local water resources.

Given the other war crimes in which the Saudi and US military have indulged, I frankly wouldn't put it past them.

This horrific outbreak, coupled with the deaths of children from malnutrition, because of Saudi/US military blockade of Yemeni ports, Images:
Yemeni children dying from malnutrition
,must be something with which the US and Saudi government and military, President Trump, and Prince Salman are completely morally comfortable; it's genocide by design, as cholera will always claim the weakest, most fragile victims in the general population.

S. Korea's new president willing to visit rival North

New South Korean President Moon Jae-in said Wednesday he was open to visiting rival North Korea under the right conditions to talk about Pyongyang's aggressive pursuit of nuclear-tipped missiles.

Moon's softer stance on North Korea could create friction with Washington, which has swung from threats of military action to hints of dialogue as it seeks to formulate a policy under President Donald Trump.

Moon, speaking during his oath of office as the first liberal leader in a decade, also said he'll "sincerely negotiate" with the United States, Seoul's top ally, and China, South Korea's top trading partner, over the contentious deployment of an advanced U.S. missile-defense system in southern South Korea. The system has angered Beijing, which says its powerful radars allow Washington to spy on its own military operations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These statements and sentiments will be characterized by the American Deep State as "double plus ungood", and not the outcome they had wanted, particularly in light of the following:

New South Korean President wants to resolve THAAD issue through negotiations with China and US

So, what should be celebrated as a breath of fresh air for both North and South Korea, is most probably being viewed as an horrendous turn of events by the ever war-centric creatures in the bowels of power in the Unhinged States of America.

The question is, what are they actually willing to do about it, short of a decap strike against South Korean President Moon Jae-in, or a false flag, to be blamed on North Korea?!?

Unfortunately, this move in a peaceful direction by President Moon may well be thwarted by the American Deep State; it is a matter of when, and how, and tensions on the Korean peninsula will most probably be kept artificially high, courtesy of the US government, to achieve their goals, if possible.

The last president to fire an FBI director? Bill Clinton

It's been 24 years since a president fired the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

In 1993, President Clinton ousted William Sessions as FBI director after Sessions refused to voluntarily step down amid ethical concerns. It was the first and only time to happen in U.S. history. That is, until Donald Trump fired James Comey.

Sessions, appointed by Ronald Reagan, had been under investigation by the Justice Department's Office of Professional Responsibility during George H.W. Bush's final year in office.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So before Democrats get all huffy and "morally outraged" about the canning of Comey, they may well need to take a look at their own party's history of doing precisely the same thing under Clinton.

Russian Foreign Minister And Trump Agree: No Need To Probe Election Meddling

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sergei Lavrov is truly "an adult in the room" of geopolitics, and I have a great respect for him, as a peace-centric diplomat.

The whole notion that Russian meddling was the "reason" for Clinton not winning the election is ridiculous on its face, and demonstrates that neither Clinton, nor the Democrats, will ever take responsibility for her loss.

At the end of the day, she was perceived as a rich, thoroughly corrupt, war-centric politician who could not relate to her base; had more baggage than does Kim Kardashian on a photo shoot, and absolutely did not have the temperament necessary to be a good President.

And until, and unless, the Democrats "get it", they are doomed to lose elections, on both a statewide and national basis.

And BTW, to the Democratic National Committee, there is one among you you should be thinking about "grooming" for 2020: her name is Tulsi Gabbard, the Congressional representative from Hawaii, who is pro-peace. Of course, the military/industrial complex won't let this happen, but if it did, it would be great news for the American people.

I'm just saying, think about it; We the People have had it up to HERE with endless years of war, starting with the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan, 16 years on.

Private prisons back Trump and could see big payoffs with new policies

Sessions announcement on prison sentencing is a corrupt payoff to the private prison industry, pure and simple. Wonder how much stock he and Trump have in the private prison industry?

WASHINGTON — Private prison companies, which stand to make big gains under President Trump’s tough new immigration orders, also have contributed big sums to pro-Trump groups, including the organization that raised a record $100 million for his inauguration last month.

For-profit prison companies' hopes for significant gains under the Trump administration already are coming to fruition. On Thursday, the Justice Department rescinded an Obama administration order to phase out the use of private-prison contracts in the federal Bureau of Prisons.

SOURCES CLAIM THAT COMEY FIRING COULD RESULT IN RELEASE OF DOCUMENTS, POTENTIAL NEW CLINTON PROBE

In the wake of Donald Trump’s dismissal of FBI Director James Comey citing “serious mistakes” and mishandling of the Hillary Clinton investigation, emerging information appears to indicate that in the aftermath of Comey’s firing the FBI intends to begin releasing documents on the Clinton investigation and the Department of Justice may request a second look at the investigation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Couldn't happen to a more deserving person than Hillary Clinton!! :-)

With Comey no longer there to protect her, she's got no hedge/insurance that her actions will not be met with intense scrutiny.

Jeff Sessions' Role in Expanding Private Prisons Is Deeper Than You Might Think

"Some of the biggest backers of Donald Trump's presidency were for-profit prison operators, who bask in his tough stance on illegal immigration and glowing reviews of their industry," TV One's Roland Martin explained on Monday.

"I do think we can do a lot of privatizations and private prisons; it seems to work a lot better," Donald Trump told Chris Matthews in an MSNBC town hall on March 30. "When Obama made the decision [to phase out private prisons] in August, the next day, a subsidiary of GEO group, one of the nation's largest for-profit prison operators donated $100,000 dollars to the pro-Trump super PAC Rebuilding America Now," Martin explained.

SEATTLE MAYOR WANTS TO TAX DIET SODA TO FIGHT "WHITE PRIVILEGED INSTITUTIONALIZED RACISM"

Back in February, Seattle's Mayor Ed Murray called for a 2 cent per ounce tax on sugary soft drinks in order to "improve Seattle's educational opportunities for students of color." Per Lynx Media, the tax was expected to raise some $16 million per year.

Of course, when someone on his staff pointed out that a tax on sugary drinks would disproportionately impact the minorities that he was apparently trying to help, Murray knew that something drastic had to happen. So that's when he decided to launch a new attack against the most recognizable symbol of "white privileged institutionalized racism" on the planet: DIET SODA!

Webmaster's Commentary:

Absoflippinglutely unbelievable!

Are the mayor and city council, perchance, drinking the same water as are California legislators, who want to tax all space launches which happen in their states, by the mile, and have declared that up to 62 one miles, vertical, belongs to the state of California?!?

California Wants To Tax Space Flights... By Miles Traveled

This is the only thing to which I can attribute this utter nonsense on the part of the Seattle government.

FBI RELEASES 'STUDY' OF LAW ENFORCEMENT'S PERSECUTION COMPLEX

In what may be an attempt to bolster now ex-FBI director James Comey's oft-derided "Ferguson Effect" claims, the FBI has released a "study" that gathers facts feelings from law enforcement officers around the US and attempts to build a narrative somewhere between "life is unfair" and "there's a War on Cops." It's not a study. It's an opinion poll with the word "study" appended to it.

In short, the Ferguson Effect theory is this: cops are afraid to do their jobs because they're undergoing intense scrutiny in the wake of controversial shootings. It's bullshit, but there are plenty of law enforcement officials willing to stake their reputations on assertions that portray their officers as cowards. Faced with heightened public scrutiny, officers are apparently deciding to do less work than before, supposedly to head off any misrepresentation of their tactics.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We have a member of HPD as a neighbor, and they are one of the most nice, personable people you could imagine. They take their job very seriously, and wouldn't harm anyone unless they absolutely had to.

But the extreme militarisation of America's police force, both in terms of military equipment, and Israeli IDF training, has created an emotional "safe space" for the expression of extreme brutality to the point of murder, and stories demonstrating this vicious change in how policing is done are legion.

IF police want there to be less anger at how they are doing their jobs, they need to change the way they are doing their jobs, so that there are no more atrocities, such as the one the world witnessed in Ferguson.

JEFF SESSIONS WANTS TO BRING BACK LONG MANDATORY PRISON SENTENCES FOR MINOR DRUG OFFENSES

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is reviewing policy changes set in place by the Obama administration that eliminated harsh punishments for low-level drug crimes and could direct federal prosecutors to again charge drug offenders with crimes carrying the most severe penalties, according to U.S. officials.

The change, if adopted, would overturn a memo by then-Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. that instructed prosecutors to avoid charging low-level defendants with drug offenses that would trigger severe mandatory minimum sentences. Only defendants who met certain criteria, such as not belonging to a large-scale drug trafficking organization, a gang or a cartel, qualified for the lesser charges under Holder’s instructions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Attorney General Sessions, a word, please: What follows is for the users, not the dealers; drug addiction is a disease, and should not be criminalised, any more than having cancer should not be criminalised.

Have you not heard of Portugal's success in dealing with addiction?!? What they did was to decriminalise small amounts of drugs for personal use, but urged counseling of those addicted, and the results were amazingly positive.
Portugal’s Example: What Happened After It Decriminalized All Drugs, From Weed to Heroin

Would it not make sense to learn from other countries' successes in this area?!?

But if you do not, I want to ask a question; how much of your personal portfolio, please, is invested in private prisons?!?Private prisons back Trump and could see big payoffs with new policies

Because, sir, this is the ONLY reason I can possibly conceive for your having become "stuck on stupid",championing a policy which we know fails both the individual addict and society in general, and does not make the American public more safe.

Cartel drug war made Mexico more deadly than Iraq or Afghanistan in 2016

Mexico was second deadliest country in 2016

It was the second deadliest conflict in the world last year, but it hardly registered in the international headlines.

As Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan dominated the news agenda, Mexico's drug wars claimed 23,000 lives during 2016 -- second only to Syria, where 50,000 people died as a result of the civil war.

"This is all the more surprising, considering that the conflict deaths [in Mexico] are nearly all attributable to small arms," said John Chipman, chief executive and director-general of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), which issued its annual survey of armed conflict on Tuesday.

"The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan claimed 17,000 and 16,000 lives respectively in 2016, although in lethality they were surpassed by conflicts in Mexico and Central America, which have received much less attention from the media and the international community," said Anastasia Voronkova, the editor of the survey.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Back in the 70s, Mexico was a nice place to visit for a vacation; not any more, in light of the fact that the drug cartels have taken over the country.

EMERGENCY CREWS BEGIN WORK ON COLLAPSED NUCLEAR FACILITY TUNNEL - LATEST UPDATE

During a routine surveillance of the area this morning, a 20-foot-wide hole in the roof of one of the tunnels was observed, leading to the precautionary sheltering of employees and notifications to area counties and states. After no contamination was detected, the shelter in place order was lifted and employees were sent home from work early as a precaution. Workers continue to monitor the area for contamination as a crew prepares to fill the hole with clean soil.

The approximately 360-foot-long tunnel where the partial collapse occurred contains 8 rail cars loaded with contaminated equipment. That tunnel feeds into a longer tunnel that extends hundreds more feet and contains 28 rail cars loaded with contaminated equipment. The hole opened up in the shorter tunnel near where it joins the longer tunnel. The tunnels were sealed in the mid-1990s and are checked periodically.

And now one of them has collapsed...

Webmaster's Commentary:

Our American infrastructure continues to collapse around us; and with a nuclear site collapse, this is about as serious as is a heart attack.

Yet, the US government is perfectly comfortable giving 38 billion dollars to Israel over 10 years, US gives Israel 38 billion dollar in military aids over 10 years but this could not have been fixed in time to prevent the collapse?!?

Where the hell are the US government's priorities here?!? Trust me, they are not about We the People.

And despite all the reassurances that this has been sorted, and handled, I have to wonder how long it will be before the workers at this site, and/or their children, will come down with radiation-induced illnesses.

Trump goes after his critics as he trolls 'fraud' Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal for lying about serving in Vietnam

'Watching Senator Richard Blumenthal speak of Comey is a joke. "Richie" devised one of the greatest military frauds in U.S. history,' the president charged.

Back in 2010, when Blumenthal, then Connecticut's attorney general, was vying to replace retiring Sen. Chris Dodd, the New York Times unearthed a military record that differed from what the rising politician said publicly.

Blumenthal had requested deferments at least five times, which allowed him to finish his studies at Harvard, complete a graduate fellowship in England, work as a special assistant to Katharine Graham, the pubisher of the Washington Post, and finally, serve in the Nixon administration.

When Blumenthal finally did serve it was Marine Reserve, which, as the Times put it, 'virtually guaranteed that he would not be sent to Vietnam.'

In remarks, Blumenthal would often allude to having served in Vietnam, while in other statements he spoke blatant untruths.

SCHOOL BANS UNVACCINATED KIDS AFTER IMMUNIZED CHILDREN START CHICKENPOX OUTBREAK

Close to one-quarter of students at a California elementary school have been directed by school officials to stay home for three weeks due to a small onset of chickenpox cases that began in March.

The chickenpox outbreak at Mariposa School of Global Education in Augora Hills, California is unique because the first case of chickenpox discovered at the school was found in a student who had been fully vaccinated.

Daniel Stepenosky, the superintendent of Las Virgenes Unified School District that includes the Mariposa School, acknowledged to CBS Los Angeles that three students were found to have chickenpox. “A kindergartner, a first-grader, a third-grader. The first case happened around mid-March. The student was immunized, however still contracted chickenpox.”

According to local newspaper The Acorn, Stepenosky noted that “(It’s) interesting . . . the first of three cases was a student that was fully immunized. . . . He was the vaccinated one.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

And I would almost bet real money that the one question which will NOT be asked here is, did the unvaccinated kids have chickenpox (which the article does not state) or did the chicken pox vaccine act in such a way that the vaccinated kids wound up with chicken pox anyway?!?

That is the "avoid the question at all costs" question which should have been asked here, and wasn't.

ISRAELI PARLIAMENT MOVES TO CEMENT ISRAEL’S STATUS AS AN ETHNOSTATE

Israel’s parliament gave preliminary approval Wednesday to a bill defining the country as the “national home of the Jewish people” which downgrades Arabic from official language status.

The bill, supported by 48 against 41 of the Knesset’s 120 members, seeks to “defend (Israel’s) status as a Jewish and democratic state”, said Avi Dichter, the bill’s sponsor, of the ruling Likud party.

On Sunday, ministers gave the bill the initial green light.

It needs to be debated by a parliamentary committee and voted on three more times in the plenum before it becomes part of the country’s so-called “basic laws”, which are similar to a constitution.

It would give special status to the “Jewish and democratic” nature of Israel, to the Jewish calendar and to Hebrew as Israel’s official language.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This legislation, if passed, will give more legitimacy toward an Israeli "Final Solution" against its Palestinian population, and this will be accomplished with an absolute vengeance which will make the civilized world shudder.

There was one exchange, however, between Yates and Sen. Ted Cruz, that was fascinating meta-politically.

In January, then-Acting Attorney General Yates refused to enforce Trump’s travel bans. Trump promptly fired her. (This was back when Trump was still cool.)

Cruz returned to that episode, mansplaining to Yates that, first, foreigners have no Constitutional rights and, second, the President has absolute discretion in national-security matters. Yates’s rejoinder was to cite some other provision about non-discrimination, yadayadayada. .

The Real Reason Trump Fired James Comey, According To Politico

When Trump fired FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday evening, the stated reason in the letter submitted by the deputy Attorney General was Comey’s much-criticized handling of an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of state.

However, according to various other sources, notably Politico, Trump had grown “enraged” over the last few weeks by the ongoing investigation into alleged Russian collaboration and repeatedly asked aids when the inquiry would end. Contrary to the narrative released from the White House Tuesday night, the firing was Trump’s decision and the DOJ letters recommending dismissal were written to give the White House cover.
