Trump: Iran Violating ‘Spirit’ of Nuclear Deal

With the rest of the administration continuing to play up US hostility toward Iran in the wake of the admission that Iran is fully complying with the P5+1 nuclear deal, President Trump today accused Iran of “violating the spirit of the deal.”

President Trump offered no details on exactly what he was referring to, though the allegation is patently false at any rate, with Iran having no nuclear weapons program in the first place, and agreeing to drastically limit its civilian program in return for sanctions relief.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, what does this accusation this even mean, in light of the fact that the IAEA has consistently reported that Iran is in complete compliance with the terms and conditions of the P5 +1 Agreement?!?

South Korea on heightened alert as North readies for army anniversary

South Korea said on Friday it was on heightened alert ahead of another important anniversary in North Korea, with a large concentration of military hardware amassed on both sides of the border amid concerns about a new nuclear test by Pyongyang.

North Korea said late on Friday the state of affairs on the Korean peninsula was "extremely perilous" because of "madcap American nuclear war manoeuvres aimed at trampling on our sovereignty and right to survival."

U.S. officials said there was a higher-than-usual level of activity by Chinese bombers, signalling a possible heightened state of readiness by reclusive North Korea's sole major ally, although the officials played down concern and left open a range of possible reasons. Beijing denied its aircraft were on an increased level of alert.

In Russia, the RIA news agency said a Kremlin spokesman declined to comment on media reports Russia was moving military hardware and troops towards the border with North Korea.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The sense I have is that US military action against North Korea is eminent.

We are just two and a half weeks away from the 9 May elections in South Korea, and the US military sees its window of opportunity for a military strike against North Korea as narrowing greatly, if the candidate who wins the South Korean election is a proponent of the "sunshine policy", which advocates engagement and trade with North Korea.

After that, the only US military option is a massive false flag, and I am quite certain that those scenarios have already been planned for, and signed off on, by President Trump.

Trump lawyer: ‘No right’ to protest at rallies

President Donald Trump’s lawyers argued in a Thursday court filing that protesters “have no right” to “express dissenting views” at his campaign rallies because such protests infringed on his First Amendment rights.

The filing comes in a case brought by three protesters who allege they were roughed up and ejected from a March 2016 Trump campaign rally in Louisville, Kentucky, by Trump supporters who were incited by the then-candidate’s calls from the stage to “get 'em out of here!”

Lawyers for Trump’s campaign have argued that his calls to remove the protesters were protected by the First Amendment. But the federal district court judge hearing the case issued a ruling late last month questioning that argument, as well as the claim that Trump didn’t intend for his supporters to use force.

The ruling cleared the case to proceed into discovery and towards a trial.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word please.

Language does have a force and power of its own, and can well be construed as a call to violence.

You apparently didn't understand that during the campaign, and you appear not to have learned that as President, and that is well-demonstrated by the number of threats you have placed against various countries around the world.

SPORTS STADIUMS SPY ON EVERYONE'S INSTANT MESSAGES, TWEETS AND SENTIMENTS

A recent article in Motherboard reveals how sports stadiums are spying on everyone's instant messages, Tweets and sentiments. (I couldn't find any pictures of a U.S. sport stadium security room, so I posted one of a 2014 World Cup security room.)

Sports stadiums across the country are using 'Babel Street' and 'Babel X' to spy on fan's sentiments and social media accounts.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF in fact this is actually happening, is it even worth it to go to sporting events in the US anymore?!?

The 4th Amendment to the Constitution is being eviscerated, with actions like this.

Even if I were a sports enthusiast, this would really deter me from going, not that I generally say anything inflammatory in any way, but just on principal.

WHAT’S NEXT? A SWAT RAID ON JULIAN ASSANGE?

Trump’s AG wants to arrest Julian Assange.

It’s not clear how he plans to do this. Assange is in the Ecuadoran embassy in London.

Do the British authorities plan to violate a long-standing international law and storm the embassy and arrest Assange?

Or is this a message to Ecuador that it’s in their best interest to deny him asylum?

Trump is now worse than the neocons. He is a neo-neocon.

During the election, Trump didn’t have a problem with WikiLeaks and Assange so long as they dished out dirt on opponent Hillary Clinton.

As for former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, Trump said he should be executed.

If Julian Assange is arrested, will he be given the Chelsea Manning treatment?

Or execution?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please note that it's not Hillary AG Sessions wants to arrest and try for her crimes; it is the man who told the truth about her crimes he wants to arrest, and potentially assassinate, for his honesty.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions Confirms That Arresting Julian Assange Is A ‘Priority’ For The U.S.

We’ve already begun to step up our efforts and whenever a case can be made, we will seek to put some people in jail.”

The War on Drugs is based on FAKE SCIENCE, warns lab science director who says labs routinely engage in “science crimes” against innocents

The “War on Drugs” is a grand science hoax based on faked laboratory analyses conducted by lab science con artists working for government.

That’s not hyperbole, by the way: It’s a matter-of-fact description of exactly how the drug war is being waged in America, thanks to lab science criminals like Annie Dookhan, who pleaded guilty to systematically faking lab science that convicted over 24,000 people on charges of drug possession. (See the video below.)

Now, over 20,000 of those convictions are about to be thrown out because Dookhan deliberately faked the science.

US Preparing Charges Against Julian Assange

Sessions: Assange Arrest Is 'a Priority'

Attorney General Jefferson Sessions insists that even though there haven’t been charges laid against Assange yet that arresting him is “a priority” for the Justice Department, citing the number of “quite serious” leaks WikiLeaks has been responsible for.

US officials have repeatedly vilified WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange over the past several years, and intermittently called for his assassination, but just now appear to be nearing a decision to file charges against him, accusing him of crimes for involvement in the whistleblower organization.

Interestingly, President Trump publicly praised WikiLeaks during the campaign for releasing information about Hillary Clinton, even joking that WikiLeaks might be able to find Clinton’s “lost” emails. Having since turned against Russia in large part as a political effort to distance himself from allegations of election manipulation, Trump’s cabinet is also turning against WikiLeaks.

Facebook Scrambles to Shut Down Pro Le Pen Accounts Before Election

The first round of French elections will be held on April 23rd, prompting Facebook to shut down pro Le Pen accounts, which they deem to be 'fake.'

In an effort to fight 'fake news' or misinformation, Facebook has targeted 30,000 'fake accounts' in order to control the information that its users consume.

In a statement to AFP, the company said they were trying to "reduce the spread of material generated through inauthentic activity, including spam, misinformation, or other deceptive content that is often shared by creators of fake accounts."

They are targeting accounts with the highest amount of traffic -- since they pose a grave threat to the croissant eating frog lovers in France.

In addition to outright bans, the company, in conjunction with French media, are running 'fact checking' programs -- designed to fight 'fake news', heightening their efforts around the elections -- which spans from 4/23-5/7.

Trump’s missile attack on Syria was justified with fake intelligence: experts

On April 7, President Trump committed his first “act of war,” attacking Syria with missiles in response to what he said was a poison gas attack by the Syrian government that killed dozens. But the White House’s subsequent intelligence report offering its proof of Syria’s role was “false” and “fraudulent,” suggesting a “coverup” by a president acting without any intelligence and intentionally lying to the public.

These are the characterizations of two longtime experts in war studies and missile systems, which—along with coordinated comments by Vice President Mike Pence in South Korea and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in Russia that America’s “strategic patience” is ending—suggest Trump may be seeking a war of choice, even if it involves fabricated intelligence.

State Dept Tries to Torpedo Nuclear Deal, Admits Iran Complying

While the US State Department was obliged to admit that Iran remains in full compliance with the P5+1 nuclear deal in a report to Congress, they are clearly not happy about that fact, and with President Trump openly looking to “renegotiate” the deal, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson attacked the pact in general.

Indeed, Tillerson’s comments gave the appearance he didn’t know about the compliance, even though he was the one who signed the letter in the first place, as he attacked the P5+1 deal as a failure and accused Iran of “unchecked” nuclear ambitions posing a grave risk to the world.

Iran was never particularly close to nuclear weapons, and its leadership has repeatedly ruled out developing them. The P5+1 deal allows Iran an extremely limited civilian nuclear program, and since its implementation both the US and IAEA have repeatedly affirmed Iranian compliance.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Secretary of State Tillerson, a word, please.

You are developing an international reputation for making accusations against foreign countries, yet not providing a shred of evidence to back up your claims.

It is not only countries like Russia and China which are skeptical about the US government's geopolitical intentions; it is also the American people who are beginning to wonder what the ultimate agendas are here, which in the case of Iran, appears to be (as it is with Syria and North Korea), regime change, and by any means necessary.

And yes, we all know Israel and Saudi Arabia would just love that; but at what cost in blood and money to the American people?!?

We have, thank you very much, been lied to quite enough; whatever international steps you take henceforward, should be in the defense of We the People; not in the defense of foreign governments who do not care about what wars against these countries will cost us here at home.

How this FBI strategy is actually creating US-based terrorists

0:12
The FBI is responsible for more terrorism plots in the United States than any other organization. More than al Qaeda, more than al Shabaab, more than the Islamic State, more than all of them combined.

0:26
This isn't likely how you think about the FBI. You probably think of FBI agents gunning down bad guys like John Dillinger, or arresting corrupt politicians.

0:36
After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the FBI became less concerned with gangsters and crooked elected officials. The new target became terrorists, and the pursuit of terrorists has consumed the FBI.

0:47
Every year, the Bureau spends 3.3 billion dollars on domestic counterterrorism activities. Compare than to just 2.6 billion dollars combined for organized crime, financial fraud, public corruption and all other types of traditional criminal activity.

Secret Pentagon Report Reveals US "Created" ISIS As A "Tool" To Overthrow Syria's President Assad

From the first sudden, and quite dramatic, appearance of the fanatical Islamic group known as ISIS which was largely unheard of until a year ago, on the world's stage and which promptly replaced the worn out and tired al Qaeda as the world's terrorist bogeyman, we suggested that the "straight to beheading YouTube clip" purpose behind the Saudi Arabia-funded Islamic State was a simple one: use the Jihadists as the vehicle of choice to achieve a political goal: depose of Syria's president Assad, who for years has stood in the way of a critical Qatari natural gas pipeline, one which could dethrone Russia as Europe's dominant - and belligerent - source of energy, reaching an interim climax with the unsuccessful Mediterranean Sea military build up of 2013, which nearly resulted in quasi-world war.

The narrative and the plotline were so transparent, even Russia saw right through them. Recall from September of last year:

1. Islamic Extremism
Chaos-inducing regime change, perpetual warfare, and economic assault have transformed much of the region into a battleground. The only people who still deny the involvement of the US government in breeding Islamic extremism are neocons, politicians, and Lockheed Martin executives.

2. Prohibition Cartels
It is prohibition that brought them into existence, especially legislation against marijuana and other drugs in America. The terror groups I’m referring to are the Mexican drug cartels: or as I like to call them, “prohibition cartels.”

3. The US Government
Surprised? Well you shouldn’t be. The most notable organization to bear responsibility for substantial worldwide suffering and misery over the last century is the United States government.

America Created Al-Qaeda and the ISIS Terror Group

Among Global Research’s most popular articles in 2016.

Incisive article originally published by GR in September 2014. Terror attacks or mass shootings allegedly perpetrated by the ISIS, the question that should be asked: who are the State sponsors of Al Qaeda and the ISIS? (M.Ch. GR Editor).

Much like Al Qaeda, the Islamic State (ISIS) is made-in-the-USA, an instrument of terror designed to divide and conquer the oil-rich Middle East and to counter Iran’s growing influence in the region.

The fact that the United States has a long and torrid history of backing terrorist groups will surprise only those who watch the news and ignore history.

US Troops Fighting ISIS Fighters at Site of MOAB Bombing

Last week, the US deployed the MOAB “Mother of All Bombs” in Afghanistan for the first time ever, dropping it in a remote part of Afghanistan’s Nangarhar Province, supposedly against ISIS tunnels. Today, Pentagon officials confirmed that US ground troops are near the site of the bombing, still fighting ISIS forces.

The MOAB is the largest non-nuclear bomb ever deployed by the US, but what it actually accomplished is unclear, as the Pentagon has not confirmed any death tolls, and is keeping the site off-limits. That there are still ISIS fighters there to fight against, however, suggests that the MOAB was far from decisive.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, we had... sound, fury, and destruction, signifying absolutely nothing, in terms of winning against ISIS.

Do you realise that a 16 year old kid in this country has never awakened to a day when the US military wasn't at war somewhere or other in the world, under the "excuse" of the alleged "war on terror"?!?

Except it's not a war on terror; it's a war for resources.

In Iraq, it was about making sure the country's oil was sold only in US dollars by a US- centric government.

In Afghanistan, where we have been at war going on 16 years, it was about oil pipeline routes, and the embarrassment of mineral riches this country possesses.

What a sane US government and NATO leadership would do would be to pull their troops out of the country as safely as humanly possible, and negotiate with whatever government was left standing for the pipeline rights and access to the minerals.

Of course, THAT...would be logical, and take away profits from the US's military/industrial complex.

With all the existing and potential wars the US government is itching to fight, and continues to fight, I see the re-institution of a draft in this country, and this time, it will be coming for not only our young men, but also our young women.

I don't know what the Vegas bookies' odds are on timing of the return of the draft, but I would think potentially, sooner, rather than later; perhaps within the next 12 months.

‘Hard to say no’: Johnson hints parliament vote against Syria invasion may be ignored at US request

British Foreign Secretary Johnson was on Tuesday briefing MPs on the situation in Syria and North Korea, when he was posed with a question by former Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Conservative MP, Alistair Burt. Burt asked what the UK government’s reaction would have been if, instead of just hitting Syria’s Shayrat airfield on April 7, Washington decided to first enlist military help from Britain.

When asked if he and the British government consider themselves to be “bound” by the past decision not to intervene in Syria and plan to reinvigorate the parliamentary debate or “if not, what might the United Kingdom be able to do to demonstrate its force and resolve,” Johnson hinted that the UK is ready to back Washington not only politically but also militarily.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So Foreign Secretary Johnson would be willing to ignore the stated will of Parliament on Syria, to please his American counterparts, who will most probably want, and ask for, British military help in Syria?!?

This is hubris, writ large.

So what happens when British troops wind up in direct military conflict with the Russian troops, which have been invited by the Syrian government to deal with the jihadists?!?

War with Russia?!?!?

Or have you actually thought it through to that point, just where military aid to the US in Syria was ultimately leading, Secretary Johnson?!?

If I could, I would want to make it a universal law that those opting for wars should consistently have their kids in the front lines, catching flack.

I honestly think that this would be a way to diminish the lust for war as "the only way" through which countries could settle their geopolitical differences.

Experts: Costly US Missile Defense System Probably Doesn’t Work

The political decision of whether or not the US is going to attack North Korea rests at least in part on the effectiveness of the $40 billion US missile defense system, and its ability to shoot down retaliatory strikes from North Korea. While the Pentagon has insisted they have 100% confidence they can do so, experts are warning the system probably doesn’t work.

Indeed, the Union of Concerned Scientists has even issued a statement warning that Pentagon confidence is not only unwarranted from the data, but may be misinforming politicians making decisions on starting a war on the basis of their defensive capabilities.

The experts warn that there has been very limited testing of the missile defense system, and even in those tests, which are in ideal situations and not real world conflicts, the system has only succeeded three times out of nine. In a real world scenario, it would likely be even less dependable.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Only 3 successes and 9 fails, under perfectly controlled conditions?!?

That's a 40 billion dollar epic fail, in my world.

And who is making those weapons?!? Should they not be fined, and doing hard jail time, for continuing to make something which obviously doesn't work, yet assuring politicians and the American public that they will work, when it's crunch time for them to succeed, and they can't?!?

This is a completely insane bet, to attempt to use them against North Korean missiles.

Mr. President, a word please.

The only sane way forward here is to encourage China to get North Korea back to the negotiating table, and hammer out a true peace treaty with which to replace the armistice, with the quid quo pro being that North Korea stops its nuclear weapons development program.

You're welcome, sir!!

Mom Films Cops Arresting 10-Year-Old Son With Autism At School

A mother watched with horror as deputies in Florida arrested her 10-year-old son with autism at school last week for an incident she said took place last year.

Luanne Haygood filmed her son’s April 12 arrest on her cell phone, capturing him crying out in confusion as Okeechobee County Sheriff deputies handcuffed him and led him to a sheriff’s vehicle.

“I don’t know what’s going on, mama!” the little boy shouted as his mom tried to get answers from the deputies.

“He has autism. He doesn’t know what’s going on,” Haygood is heard telling the deputies.

Haygood, who spoke with CBS 12 News, said her son spent the night behind bars.

According to her, deputies arrested the child after a school resource officer identified him as having an outstanding warrant for assault ? something that Haygood is heard saying in the video that they weren’t aware of.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That the teacher who got kicked did not understand anything about dealing with an autistic child, and the coping mechanisms necessary to prevent violent outbursts, I lay completely at the feed of the school district.

If she did not have the certified training to deal with autism spectrum disorder, that kid should never have been in her class, period, end of discussion.

No child should be allowed to kick anyone, but to do this to an autistic child, who does not understand the consequences of their actions, and a year later, and throw him in jail overnight?!?

U.S. Bombed a Mosque in Syria, Killing Dozens of Civilians, Investigators Conclude

As my colleague Alex Emmons reported last month, Syrian activists and first responders accused the United States of killing dozens of civilians in an airstrike that mistakenly targeted a mosque in the rebel-held village of al-Jinah on the evening of March 16.

Confronted with these claims, a Pentagon spokesman, Navy Captain Jeff Davis, told The Intercept that they were mistaken. “The area was extensively surveilled prior to the strike in order to minimize civilian casualties,” Davis said. “We deliberately did not target the mosque.”

As evidence, Davis provided an aerial photograph of the building destroyed in the attack, identified by U.S. officials as a “partially constructed community meeting hall.”

“The mosque in the left edge of the photo was not targeted,” Davis stressed in a briefing for reporters the next day. “Military officials believe dozens of al-Qaida terrorist leaders were killed in the strike.”

'Nobody's got to use the internet,' argues idiot congressman in row over ISP privacy rules

Faced with an angry citizen asking why he had voted away their online privacy rights, US House Rep Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) had a remarkable answer: you don't have to use the internet if you don't like it.

Speaking at a town hall meeting in Wisconsin on Friday, the Republican legislator was asked about his vote to kill off proposed information safeguards – a move that effectively gave American ISPs the green light, as well as the right, to sell subscribers' sensitive personal details without requiring their consent or even having to inform them.

The voter disputed the Republican line that ISPs should not have to deal with stricter rules than companies like Google or Facebook, arguing that: "Facebook is not comparable to an ISP. I do not have to go on Facebook. I don't have to go on Google. My ISP provider is different than those providers."

Sensenbrenner's response? "Nobody's got to use the internet."

Pentagon and Aid Workers Clash Over Planned Assault in Yemen

It looks like Trump is going to invade Yemen with US troops and murder more women and children and starve the rest to death.

Pentagon officials have been making clear for weeks that they are eager to directly join Saudi Arabia’s war in Yemen, and have excitedly laid out plans for deeper involvement in the conflict to the rest of the administration, centering on joining the invasion of Hodeidah, a Red Sea port which is where most humanitarian aid enters the country.

Hodeidah’s vitalness to the already shaky aid supply to northern Yemen isn’t sitting well with aid workers, or even with State Department and USAID officials, who were quick to note that cutting off Hodeidah to the northern Yemenis would lead directly to a full-blown famine.

“Without military support, Americans are lost. From strategic necessity, I will say nothing of those evolving events. I can say this: outside of divine intervention, ordinary Americans must build a demand to arrest .01% criminal leaders for treason, Wars of Aggression, Crimes Against Humanity, destruction of the Bill of Rights, looting led by central banking, political assassinations that include President Kennedy and Martin King, and official lying with complicit media.

These crimes are the opposite of the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution.

The US has devolved into a viciously rogue state.

There exists no argument against those facts except from the treasonous who only have bullshit in place of reason. As God watches over us, that truth will be made clear.” ~ “interview” with George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams, 2016

Is Trump About To Flip Again: Ryan Says "TTIP Good For Global Order"

From Obamacare to NATO, and from Ex-Im Bank to Chinese currency manipulators, President Trump has shown he is comfortable changing his mind 'bigly'. Today's exuberant support for "TTIP as good for global order," from Speaker Ryan, following VP Pence's meetings in Japan, raises questions about whether Trump's executive order withdrawing from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) free trade agreement is the next big flip-flop.

Did Google just surpass Monsanto as the world’s most EVIL corporation?

Mere weeks after de-listing the entire Natural News website due to a totally fabricated technical excuse, Google has now been caught red-handed instructing its contractors to rate content as “low” or “medium” quality for independent media website InfoWars, which exposes globalist agendas. InfoWars, which remained silent about Google’s censorship of Natural News, has now learned that remaining silent is a horrible idea because, well, “Then they came for me.”

Now InfoWars is in the crosshairs of Google, which seems determined to manually alter its search results to deliberately silence all views Google doesn’t like. The dishonest search engine even chooses clickbait websites like BuzzFeed and Salon to “fact check” search engine results around “sensitive” topics such as Hillary Clinton, whom the delusional Left still insists never had a fainting spell and didn’t help sell U.S. uranium mining rights to Russian-owned mining companies.

COURTS ARE USING AI TO SENTENCE CRIMINALS. THAT MUST STOP NOW

Currently, courts and corrections departments around the US use algorithms to determine a defendant’s “risk”, which ranges from the probability that an individual will commit another crime to the likelihood a defendant will appear for his or her court date. These algorithmic outputs inform decisions about bail, sentencing, and parole. Each tool aspires to improve on the accuracy of human decision-making that allows for a better allocation of finite resources.

Typically, government agencies do not write their own algorithms; they buy them from private businesses. This often means the algorithm is proprietary or “black boxed”, meaning only the owners, and to a limited degree the purchaser, can see how the software makes decisions. Currently, there is no federal law that sets standards or requires the inspection of these tools, the way the FDA does with new drugs.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The alleged American "correctional system" generally does not correct criminal behaviour; by the time the convict has served their time, and is released into the general population, they are generally worse off than when they began their sentence, and as recidivism rates in this country show, are very likely to re-offend.

Adding predictive algorithms to the mix, without either a clarity as to how those algorithms have been created, or the kind of rehabilitation one finds in more enlightened prison systems, like those of Sweden, just adds salt to the wounds of incarceration, and does not help the judges come to any reasonable assumptions on what the predictive outcome of their sentencing of convicts can be.

LEAKED DOCS SHOW GOOGLE CONTRACTORS SUPPRESSED ALTERNATIVE MEDIA, GOOGLE CONFIRMS

Leaked documents now reveal a plan by search engine behemoth Google to censor alternative media through the blatant suppression of search results — and, for all intents and purposes, the censoring appears part of the political establishment’s plan to quash dissent.

Documents obtained by InfoWars’ Mike Cernovich indeed show a Google contractor instructing staff to rate prominent but controversial website, InfoWars, as “low-to-medium” in reliability, with articles frequently having “been debunked.”

Although Cernovich and other InfoWars staff have indeed been known to occasionally embellish the facts, Business Insider reports,

“A Google representative appeared to confirm the validity of Cernovich’s report, linking Business Insider to his Medium post.

DHS Head to America: Shut Up, Be Terrified, and Do What You’re Told

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary John Kelly has heard all of that criticism from Americans who are upset at the way his employees treat them and other people, and he has a response for all of you ingrates: Shut up.

If you've ever dealt with surly Transportation Security Administration (TSA) staff who treat you as though you work for them and not the other way around, such behavior goes all the way to the top. In a wide-ranging speech designed to reinforce President Donald Trump's attitude that America is under siege, Kelly spoke told an audience at George Washington University and pretty much told them that without the aggressive approaches of the DHS we'd all be murdered by drug cartels and terrorist groups. So can it with the criticism.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Better to can John Kelly!

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE: THE AMERICAN POLICE STATE IS COMING TO GET YOU

This is what happens when you allow the government to call the shots: it becomes a bully.

As history shows, this recipe for disaster works every time: take police officers hyped up on their own authority and the power of the badge, throw in a few court rulings suggesting that security takes precedence over individual rights, set it against a backdrop of endless wars and militarized law enforcement, and then add to the mix a populace distracted by entertainment, out of touch with the workings of their government, and more inclined to let a few sorry souls suffer injustice than to challenge the status quo.

Facial recognition is coming to US airports, fast-tracked by Trump

Soon, it may be hard for visa holders to board an international flight without submitting to a facial geometry scan. The TSA began testing facial recognition systems at Dulles Airport in 2015, then expanded the tests to New York’s JFK Airport last year. Face-reading check-in kiosks will be appearing at Ottawa International Airport this spring, and British Airways is rolling out a similar system at London’s Heathrow Airport, comparing faces captured at security screenings with a separate capture at the boarding gate. Now, a new project is poised to bring those same systems to every international airport in America.

Called Biometric Exit, the project would use facial matching systems to identify every visa holder as they leave the country.

There Will Be Blood: Left Prepares For War After Berkeley Beat Down: “Combat Training, Better Equipment, Guns…”

Can you say Martial Law? Certain people would love to see blood on the streets.

Last week Trump supporters and leftist social justice warriors met on the political field of battle in Berkeley, California. Words were exchanged, as were punches. And while an alt-right leader was punched in the face, by all accounts even the social justice warriors admit that they got a major beat-down.

This prompted a reddit discussion among the left’s tolerant resistance movement, with many asking how they can more effectively go to war against anyone who disagrees with their social, political, and economic views.

In short, as predicted, they are turning to militancy and mob action by mobilizing individuals and groups to attend combat training seminars, acquiring better equipment like baseball bats and helmets, and of course, if things really go bad… guns.

BOOGA BOOGA! Will North Korean Agents Release Biological Weapons In Major U.S. Cities? (Video)

President Trump is prepared to launch a preemptive strike against North Korea should they attempt another nuclear test. Even the mainstream media is sounding the alarm bells when it comes to the potential for drastic escalation on the Korean peninsula. And while most Americans feel safe all the way across the Pacific, with the North Koreans’ supposed lack of long range missile capability, there is one possibility they may not have considered – multiple biological attacks by embedded North Korean agents.

Is A Major Ukrainian Offensive Against The Rebels Looming?

The Minsk ceasefire agreement completely collapsed in January 2015, with renewed heavy fighting across the conflict zone, including Donetsk International Airport and Debaltsovo. A new ceasefire, called Minsk II, was agreed to on 12 February 2015.

Minsk II largely held if you don’t count near-daily artillery fire and periodic small-unit actions that have killed many hundreds on each side. However, there are numerous signs another major outbreak might be at hand.

Speculation on a renewed major outbreak comes from an April 9 Website Post by Alexander Khodakovsky.

That poster, from the preceding link, is reminiscent of a WWII call to arms. The message on the poster translates as “Join the Peoples’ Militia!”

Webmaster's Commentary:

If a major Ukrainian offensive is eminent, the US military is in no position to assist Ukrainian troops, as our troop strength has been rendered paper-thin by multiple deployments in numerous places around the world.

US military considers shooting down North Korea missile tests, sources say

The US military is considering shooting down North Korean missile tests as a show of strength to Pyongyang, two sources briefed on the planning have told the Guardian.

Amid heightened tensions over North Korea’s nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs, the Pentagon is looking for ways short of war to pressure the country into denuclearization, particularly if Pyongyang goes forward with a sixth nuclear test.

North Korea warns 'thermonuclear war could break out at any moment'
The defense secretary, James Mattis, has briefed Congress on the option, but the military has not yet decided to intercept a test missile.

One US official said the prospective shoot-down strategy would be aimed at occurring after a nuclear test, with the objective being to signal Pyongyang that the US can impose military consequences for a step Donald Trump has described as “unacceptable”.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Note that this article is not sourced. And in my world, if something is not sourced, or attributable to someone, it cannot operate in the sphere of true, honest reporting.

And I hope to heck this is not really a scenario on the table; such an act by the US military against a North Korean missile test, would rightly be perceived by the North Korean government as an act of war.

The Return of Commercial Prison Labour

Prisons are seldom mentioned under the rubric of labour market institutions such as temporary work contracts or collective bargaining agreements. Yet, prisons not only employ labour but also cast a shadow on the labour force in or out of work. The early labour movement considered the then prevalent use of prison labour for commercial purposes as unfair competition. By the 1930s, the U.S. labour movement was strong enough to have work for commercial purposes prohibited in prisons.

Military Adventurism: The Problem is Washington, Not North Korea

Washington has never made any effort to conceal its contempt for North Korea. In the 64 years since the war ended, the US has done everything in its power to punish, humiliate and inflict pain on the Communist country. Washington has subjected the DPRK to starvation, prevented its government from accessing foreign capital and markets, strangled its economy with crippling economic sanctions, and installed lethal missile systems and military bases on their doorstep.

Negotiations aren’t possible because Washington refuses to sit down with a country which it sees as its inferior. Instead, the US has strong-armed China to do its bidding by using their diplomats as interlocutors who are expected to convey Washington’s ultimatums as threateningly as possible. The hope, of course, is that Pyongyang will cave in to Uncle Sam’s bullying and do what they are told.

Webmaster's Commentary:

it is entirely correct that North Korea has developed its nuclear weapons program as a deterrent to a potential pre-emptive US strike against it.

I seriously doubt that North Korea would ever fire the first volley at either South Korea, or American assets nearby; but I do think that if the US government and military want this war, and want it quickly, they will create some kind of "false flag" event, and blame it on North Korea.

Right now, the US government is working against a "hard deadline" of 9 May, which is when the next South Korean election will be held, and if the candidate who wins favors the "sunshine policy" toward North Korea (social/economic engagement, no military hostility against it), President Trump will have "lost the window" for a strike against North Korea for some time.

Of course, I would be reasonably certain that the American Deep State is lining the pockets of candidates who have a more "martial" approach to the "problem" of North Korea; but if that doesn't work, the US government may well be thinking about creating that above-referenced false flag.

Contractor Whose Business Model Is Price Gouging the Pentagon Has Powerful Wall St. Backers

ON MARCH 21, first-term Congressman Ro Khanna sent a letter asking the Pentagon’s inspector general to investigate TransDigm, an aerospace supplier he accused of cornering the market on proprietary parts for military aircraft and then jacking up the prices.

The California Democrat charged that TransDigm operates as a “hidden monopolist,” to “enrich a few individual financiers who stand to benefit at the expense of our troops and weapons systems.”

The letter rebounded across Washington and Wall Street. TransDigm stock dropped over 10 percent in two days. The business press highlighted the story; The Huffington Post called TransDigm “The Martin Shkreli of defense contracting.”

In a nation that once saw a senator become president in part because of his investigation of war profiteering — and where memories of the Pentagon buying $640 toilet seats still linger — the story of a greedy corporation ripping off the military seemed to have legs.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This story demonstrates precisely what is wrong with the culture of corporate weapons manufacturers, and must be stopped; it is putting our military at high risk, because unlike the US, Russia and China are getting value for their military spending, and not getting gouged.

I would strongly suggest that with any future defense contracts, that they are worded in such a way that the presidents of those companies which sign the contracts must become personally liable when these items are delivered so late as to be obsolete; do not work at all as advertise;, or are massively over budget.

And by personal liability, I mean, jail time, and not in a "Club Fed"; that SHOULD "cure the problem."

The American Government’s Secret Plan for Surviving the End of the World

Among the greatest foreign-policy dilemmas faced by former President Jimmy Carter is one that has never been publicly aired but is gaining new relevance. It concerns nuclear war, and how the U.S. government would survive it. Carter’s decisions remain classified, but documents newly declassified by the CIA, along with the archives at several presidential libraries, provide a new window into the White House’s preparations for an imminent apocalypse.

Today, such an apocalypse could be triggered by any number of nuclear-armed states, including North Korea and Pakistan. During Carter’s presidency, such anxieties were focused squarely on the Soviet Union. It was during that period that military planners in both the Soviet Union and United States began to grapple with what until then had been an unthinkable heresy: abandoning the Mutually Assured Destruction catechism that had governed global order since the 1950s and preparing for surviving an all-out nuclear war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please remember; in the case of an all-out nuclear war, those in the bowels of power in DC have their bunkers, and all the amenities necessary to survive in style; most of We the People do not.

Therefore, I would like to politely suggest that our government, our military, and the Trump Administration, find other ways of resolving its geopolitical issues with other countries through moral, hard-won, intelligent negotiations, rather than war.

Apr 18 10:08

What Would Korean War II Look Like?

The US could literally blow North Korea off the map using tactical nuclear weapons based in Japan, South Korea and at sea with the 7th Fleet. Or delivered by B-52 and B-1 bombers and cruise missiles. But this would cause clouds of lethal radiation and radioactive dust to blanket Japan, South Korea and heavily industrialized northeast China, including the capital, Beijing.

China would be expected to threaten retaliation against the United States, Japan and South Korea to deter a nuclear war in next door Korea. At the same time, if heavily attacked, a fight-to-the-end North Korea may fire off a number of nuclear-armed medium-range missiles at Tokyo, Osaka, Okinawa and South Korea. These missiles are hidden in caves in the mountains on wheeled transporters and hard to identify and knock out.

This is a huge risk. Such a nuclear exchange would expose about a third of the world’s economy to nuclear contamination, not to mention spreading nuclear winter around the globe.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word, please: bellicose hubris, and subsequent threats, will not work here.

And the price of such a war on the Korean Peninsula, in blood, money, and nuclear contamination, will be both unimaginable...and irreversible.

What needs to happen, is for China to get North Korea back on board with a summit to hammer out a true peace deal to replace the armistice, with the quid pro quo being no US invasion of North Korea, and North Korea ending its nuclear weapons program in return.

Such a plan is simple, elegant, and logical, and precludes the need for any military action against North Korea.

You're welcome, Mr. President!! :-)

Trump Has Killed Beautiful Babies in Four Countries

US president Donald Trump sounded sincere when he described how he felt after seeing pictures of "beautiful little babies" allegedly killed by a Syrian government chemical weapons attack on April 4.

“These heinous actions by the Assad regime cannot be tolerated," said Trump, and hours later, the US launched nearly 60 tomahawk missiles in response to the allegations.

But what about the beautiful little babies killed by US bombs since Trump became president? Is Trump not concerned about those children because they were killed by his missiles, and not Assad’s chemical weapons?

In the first three months of his presidency, Trump has dropped bombs – and killed children – in Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am rather struck by the utter cynicism and hypocrisy of the Trump Administration, which seems to collectively believe that the assassinations and deaths of some children are "...more equal than others" - particularly if those deaths can be used as "justification/propaganda" for supporting US military action against specific countries, like Syria, which did not use poison gas against its own people.

Why The Donald Should Cool It On North Korea – The Fat Boy Can’t Even Deliver His ‘Little Boy’

The realized truth of modern history is crystal clear. Washington had no business intervening in a quarrel between two no-count wanna be dictators (Syngman Rhee and Kim il Sung) on the Korean peninsula in June 1950, and surely has no business still stationing 29,000 American soldiers there 67 years latter.

Yet owing to the institutionalized albatross of that mis-vectored history, the world is now much closer to the brink of nuclear war than at any time since the dark days of the early cold war. And the Donald has become just the latest political tourist in the Oval Office to succumb to the Deep State’s false, self-serving narrative about why the American imperium remains decamped on the 38th parallel.

75-YEAR-OLD WOMAN DETAINED FOR 2 HOURS IN URINE-SOAKED PANTS FOR TRYING TO SELL MOON ROCK SHARD

A sad and infuriating lead sentence from the LA Times: "A 75-year-old woman who tried to sell a paperweight containing a speck of moon rock may try to hold a federal agent liable for detaining her for two hours in a public parking lot in urine-soaked pants, a federal appeals court decided unanimously Thursday." The good news is that she is going to sue NASA for the humiliating treatment.

She decided to try to sell the paperweights and contacted auction houses without success. She finally emailed NASA for help in finding a buyer for what she called “rare Apollo 11 space artifacts.” She explained how her late husband had received them.

Norman Conley, a special agent and criminal investigator for NASA’s Office of Inspector General, was assigned to investigate whether Davis really possessed a moon rock.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It takes a real, 24 carat b*stard to do something like this to a 75 year old woman.

SCHOOL-ISSUED DEVICES ALLOW THE FEDS TO SPY ON EVERYTHING STUDENTS HAVE EVER DONE

The Feds, and educational technology (ed tech) companies are using tablets and laptops to spy on students from kindergarten through college.

Students, teachers, administrators and librarians across the country are being forced to use school-issued tablets and laptops which use educational cloud services that spy on everything.

According to a EFF's “Spying on Students” report, more than 30 million students, teachers, and administrators use Google’s education suite of software.

"Across the U.S., more than 30 million students, teachers, and administrators use Google’s G Suite for Education (formerly known as Google Apps for Education), and that number is rapidly growing."

According to the report, students are being given Google login ID's with no option to opt-out.

TRUMP ENTHRONES ERDOGAN - DESTROYS ALL TRUST IN U.S. DIPLOMACY

Trump contradicted his speaker, the State Department and his allies by congratulating the Turkish President Erdogan for winning Sunday's referendum vote. He undermined his diplomacy.

Sundays referendum in Turkey makes the presidential office a quasi dictatorial position that leads the executive and can, via decrees, also overrule the legislative and judiciary elements of the state. President Erdogan is now in a dictatorial position. It maybe that a majority of the Turkish voters voted for this change but it is far from certain. The number of votes in doubt because they were not taken in accordance with the legal procedures (2-3 million) is higher than slight majority lead (1.5 million) for the "yes" side.

Congratulations, President Trump, for having inflicted upon the American people yet one more disappointment in an incredible string of colossal disappointments since your inauguration.

IRS HIRES PRIVATE DEBT COLLECTION AGENCIES TO COLLECT UNPAID TAXES

You won’t just be receiving a call from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) moving forward, but also from debt collectors. The tax collection agency has contracted out the task of pursuing unpaid taxes.

The IRS announced earlier this month that it has hired four debt collection agencies to get their hands on outstanding payments from taxpayers. With the increasing backlog of unpaid taxes, the IRS employed private debt collection firms to contact taxpayers who still haven’t paid previous years’ taxes.

As part of the new debt collection program, a few hundred taxpayers will be receive phone calls and mailings. In the summertime, the number will grow by the thousands.

Ostensibly, the IRS will contact these people several times before they send their information to a private debt firm. Moreover, the IRS will not provide accounts to these agencies in regards to victims of tax-related identity theft, minors and those in combat zones.

Webmaster's Commentary:

“The IRS is taking steps throughout this effort to ensure that the private collection firms work responsibly and respect taxpayer rights,” MY ASTROLABE!

The brutal, churlish, and unethical way collection agencies go about their business, is not going to change.

And just to let you know, the 16th Amendment to the Constitution, permitting the taxation of US citizens was never properly ratified by a large number of individual states.

The U.S. Is On The Verge Of Making An Extremely Costly Mistake (Video)

The situation on the Korean peninsula continues to balance on the razor’s edge, with everybody else playing a game of will they/won’t they; except this game has dire consequences. Already, there are signs that the US is militarily prepared to launch a strike at any moment; military sources say that the bomb buses in Guam are fully loaded, while in Kunsan everything has been geared and loaded up and all Easter leave has been cancelled.

In the following video, Right Wing News takes stock of the latest information and assesses the situation frankly. Militarily, North Korea stands no chance of success against the United States military. They have zero possibility of any sort of military victory. However, if they were able to just get one nuke or artillery barrage against a major South Korean city, the casualties will be catastrophic, and the United States will surely be partially blamed by taking action against the regime. Is this a no-win situation for us?

When Will They Ever Learn?

Fifty years ago we were bombing North Vietnam “back into the stone age.” That worked out well for the military contractors, killed many, and raised prices for the US people.

Twenty-five years ago we were fighting Iraq and Saddam Hussein. That worked out well for the military contractors, killed many, and raised prices for the US people.

Ten years ago we were fighting in Iraq. That worked out well for the military contractors, killed many, and raised prices for the US people.

Today we are still fighting in the Middle-East and bombing Syria. A taskforce of ships is threatening North Korea. Who benefits?

When will we learn?

Cop Ordered to Pay $415K of Own Money to Family of Unarmed Teen He Killed

An encouraging end to a tragic story comes out of Arkansas this week after a former Little Rock police officer was found liable in the shooting death of 15-year-old boy in 2012. What sets this case apart from the myriad of other civil cases in which police officers are found responsible for killing, beating, and depriving people of their rights, is that this cop was held personally responsible — and will have to pay the victim’s family using his own assets, not the taxpayers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This sets a good precedent. If cops know they can be held personally liable, they will not be quite so ready to pull the trigger without making sure their target is a real threat.

FBI Agrees to Give Records to Anti-War Reporters

In a win for government-transparency advocates, the FBI has agreed to turn over records it created when it spied on two anti-war journalists and pay $299,000 to settle their attorneys’ fees.

The deal, which brings to a close a four-year battle for the records under the Freedom of Information Act, is spelled out in two stipulations filed in San Francisco federal court – one on Friday and the other in January.

Julia Mass, an attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California, which filed suit on behalf of the journalists, said in an interview Monday that her clients are pleased with the results.

But, Mass said, “it’s unfortunate that we had to litigate so extensively in order to get the documents, and the documents themselves reveal a very troubling focus on our clients’ political speech.”

A Yale history professor explains how governments use disasters and tragedies to control society

Aspiring tyrants use real, provoked, or fake terrorism as an excuse to declare some kind of state of emergency. State of emergency meaning we lose our basic rights and then that temporary situation becomes permanent. We get used to it, it becomes the everyday. This is basically page one of the playbook of modern tyranny. So it's naive, it's really foolish of us to forget about this because the tyrants, the aspiring tyrants certainly know about it.

Alabama Sheriff In Court For Starving Inmates, Paying Critic's Grandson To Install Keylogger On Her Computer

A number of statutes and practices have created perverse incentives for law enforcement, but none are nearly so blatant as this Alabama state law governing the feeding of inmates. The law, passed over 100 years ago, says law enforcement personnel -- mainly sheriffs -- can keep whatever's left over from state and federal inmate food stipends. This doesn't mean the leftover money is routed to a general fund or used to defray law enforcement/jail-related expenses. No, this means the money flows from taxpayers, (mostly) bypasses prisoners, and ends up in sheriffs' personal checking accounts.

It appears that if you want to be liked by the American public, go to war. After a non-stop plunge to record low ratings for a new president, Rasmussen's most recent data shows President Trump's favorability surging to 2-month highs since he started rattling sabres around the world.

Maduro orders Venezuela army into streets

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has ordered the army into the streets as the volatile country braces for what his opponents vow will be the "mother of all protests" on Wednesday.

Maduro, who has faced violent protests over recent moves to tighten his grip on power, ordered the military to defend the leftist "Bolivarian revolution" launched by his late mentor Hugo Chavez in 1999.

"From the first reveille (on Monday morning), from the first rooster crow, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces will be in the streets... saying, 'Long live the Bolivarian revolution,'" Maduro said Sunday night in a televised address.

State TV showed images of army units marching in the streets of Caracas as Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino watched.

But there was no sign of soldiers on patrol Monday morning in the capital.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Maduro has to know that this will not end well, nor in his favor.

The Hard Hand of War

This is for the Lincoln Lovers!

On Easter Sunday, April 16, 1865, Union forces under the command of General James Harrison Wilson attacked, captured, and sacked Columbus, GA in the last major battle of the War east of the Mississippi. Wilson’s campaign began in North Alabama and quickly moved South.

Union soldiers began ransacking houses, stealing goods, and confiscating food. By 1864, one North Alabama woman remarked that Union soldiers had left her “poor children [with] nothing but a little piece of fried middling, and bread and water.” Fall harvests were seized while many Union soldiers walked away with clothes and shoes from helpless Southern women.

Trump Invades Somalia

Bookmakers must be wondering how many wars he’ll wage during his tenure.

He continues Bush/Cheney/Obama wars, escalated them in Syria, Iraq and Yemen, likely intends more combat troops for Afghanistan, threatens nuclear war on the Korean peninsula, and targets Somalia for the first time since US forces were withdrawn in 1994.

Sending dozens, perhaps scores, even hundreds of US combat troops isn’t exactly an invasion. Besides, US special forces operated there at times for years – illegally on the territory of another country.

Big things usually start small. US forces in Somalia may signal many more to come. Obama waged a covert drone war on the strategically important Horn of Africa.

It’s near the Bab el-Mandeb strait chokepoint separating Yemen from Eritrea. Millions of barrels of oil flow through it to the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The excuse given is just more grade-A bovine excrement.

As are all the other US military "interventions", this is about power projection in the region; expropriating resources to which the US government has utterly no moral right; making certain that the existing government of that country is US/Western-centric, even if that means regime change; and making sure that those resources are only sold in US dollars.

Oh, and speaking of "power projection" in the Persian Gulf, the US government , with the permission of the former President of Yemen, President Saleh, has "expropriated" two Yemeni islands, upon which they have built two huge naval bases, and those island are Socotra and Masirah.

Destroying Palestinian Agriculture? Israeli Planes Spray Herbicides Inside Gaza for the Fourth Time This Year

Israeli planes have been reported spraying herbicides over land inside the Gaza Strip on four occasions in 2017, including twice in the last two days.

Israeli planes sprayed herbicides inside the Gaza Strip for the second day running on Wednesday and the fourth time this year, according to local farmers and Israeli rights NGO Gisha. A video published on Wednesday, allegedly of the crop-dusting, shows a plane flying low and spraying over farmland.

Palestinians who reported the incident said that the planes had dusted near the Gaza border fence, and the Gaza Ministry of Agriculture is investigating the extent of the damage from the herbicides sprayed over the last two days. Around 840 acres of crops were damaged during the last round of spraying in January 2017, according to Gisha.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If the Israeli destruction and poisoning Palestinian agriculture is not a war crime, I sure as heck don't know what is.

America Should Start Exploring How to End All the Wars It's Started

War-whoops and loud applause from foreign policy establishments and their media supporters have greeted President Trump’s missile strike in Syria, the dropping of the world’s largest non-nuclear bomb on Afghanistan and the dispatch of a naval task force in the direction of North Korea.

This spurt in belligerence over the last week has as much to do with domestic American politics as any fundamental new development in the rest of the world. Trump needed to defuse the accusation that he was too close to President Putin and too tolerant of a Russian ally like Bashar al-Assad. The resort to military action was largely in keeping with the old Pentagon saying that “defence policy ends at the water’s edge”, meaning that it is politics inside, not outside the US, which is the real decision-maker.

Is Our Political Class Mentally Ill?

I write this on Easter Sunday, the day of resurrection and hope in the Christian calendar, but such a bright promise looks a bit thin given what is going on in our world, our country: what looks like a mass outbreak of mental illness among our political class.

I say this because here is a group of people – journalists, politicians, and other Very Serious Persons – who have hated our new President from the get-go. He’s Hitler, he’s Mussolini, he’s Pepe the frog! He’s this, he’s that, he’s Our National Nightmare! And yet the minute he starts bombing foreigners he’s suddenly not so bad after all. Over at the Washington Post, David Ignatius, the CIA’s journalistic front man, says he’s “becoming a credible foreign policy leader.” Ruth Marcus opines that we’re witnessing “the normalization of Donald Trump.” Finally, she enthuses, “rationality is dawning” on the forty-fifth President! Among the liberal elite, the hosannas were well nigh universal. As Ann Coulter noted:

Webmaster's Commentary:

This mental illness seeps from the American Deep State on down to its politicians, and the presstitutes in the mass media, who always glorify US-generated examples of massive death and destruction, and praise them as being far preferred and superior to smart, hard-won, moral negotiations negotiations.

Lois Lerner Asks Judge Hearing Class Action Suit To Seal Records – Protect Her From Americans

Lois Lerner is one of the small circle of people who knows the full scope of her politically motivated crimes and she, the deep state and the Democrats wants to keep it that way. Why else would she be asking for protection from the public, for the records of her upcoming testimony to be kept secret and sealed forever.

McMaster ‘Doubts’ US Will Send More Troops to Syria

In comments today on ABC’s “This Week,” National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster downplayed the chances of the US sending more ground troops to Syria, saying that it still “remains to be seen” if more troops are needed, but that he doubts the US will have to send any more.

President Trump had appeared to rule out such deployments last week, insisting “we’re not going into Syria,” though of course US forces are already in Syria, and there are proposals still coming in calling for additional US troops to be deployed.

The indications had been that McMaster was leading the push for more troops, however, and had even argued in favor of a deployment of some 50,000 US ground troops to fight in Syria. That McMaster is the one downplaying more troops now may suggest he’s been overruled.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This at least temporarily ratchets down the possibility of direct US/Russian military confrontation in Syria; but for how long, if regime change continues not to be accomplished in Damascus, which is the end goal of US foreign policy here?!?

And so far, the arming of both the Kurdish YPG, and various anti-government rebels hasn't worked at all; in fact, these appear to be historically failed US policies.

Putin moves missiles to North Korea border as Russia gets ready for WAR

VIDEO footage appears to show Russian military forces being moved on mass to the border with North Korea as the world edges closer to World War 3.Russia has reportedly moved weapons towards Vladivostok, just eight miles from the border with North Korea. The city is within striking distance of Kim Jong-un’s secretive state.

Although unconfirmed by the Russian government, the movement of tanks and missiles was spotted by terrified people living in the border city and posted on social media.According to reports, the military convoy caught on camera included eight surface-to-air missiles, all part of Russian Air Defence.

Vladimir Putin already has a major navy base in Vladivostok.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF, in fact, these reports are true, we are looking at things getting out of control on the Korean Peninsula very, very quickly.

The distance between Russia and the North Korean border is very short.

The border between Russia and North Korea, according to the official Russian definition, consists of 17 kilometres (11 mi) of "terrestrial border" and 22.1 km (12 nautical miles) of "maritime border". It is the shortest of the international borders of Russia

Erdogan Wins Narrow Referendum Victory, Laying Bare Turkey’s Divisions

Supporters of Tayyip Erdogan waved flags in the streets while opponents banged pots and pans in protest in their homes, after a narrow referendum victory gave the Turkish president sweeping powers and laid the nation’s divisions bare.

The referendum will bring the biggest overhaul in Turkish politics since the founding of the modern republic, abolishing the post of prime minister and concentrating power in the hands of the president. Unofficial results, which the opposition said it would challenge, showed a narrow victory with 51.4 percent of votes cast in favor.

Yet the procedures used in both the campaign leading up to the referendum as well as on the day of didn’t adhere to international standards and created an “unlevel playing field,” Tana de Zulueta, head of the team of Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe observers present in Turkey, said in a news conference Monday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Through this referendum, the Turkish people have given Erdogan nearly dictatorial powers; and heaven only knows what he will wind up doing with them.

Mike Pence Puts North Korea On Notice For Missile, Nuclear Tests

“North Korea would do well not to test [President Trump’s] resolve or the strength of the armed forces of the United States in this region.”

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence put North Korea on notice on Monday, warning that recent U.S. strikes in Syria and Afghanistan showed that the resolve of President Donald Trump should not be tested.

Pence and South Korean acting president Hwang Kyo-ahn, speaking a day after a failed missile test by the North and two days after a huge display of missiles in Pyongyang, also said they would strengthen anti-North Korea defenses by moving ahead with the early deployment of the THAAD missile-defense system.

Pence is on the first stop of a four-nation Asia tour intended to show America’s allies, and remind its adversaries, that the Trump administration was not turning its back on the increasingly volatile region.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Pence is characterising President Trump's "strength and resolve" by his actions of bombing Syria for something the Syrian government most likely didn't do, and using a MOAB in Afghanistan "because he could".

Could someone please tell me, how in the name of heaven, these actions translated into "strength and resolve", where there was absolutely no restraint, or honest fact-finding going on in Trump's White House, before these actions were taken?!?

NIKKI HALEY HUMILIATES AMERICA, GROVELS BEFORE ISRAEL AT AIPAC SUMMIT

In an unparalleled display of fealty and subservience, the United States’ Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, sat before an AIPAC (American-Israeli Political Action Committee) and proclaimed all the horrors visited upon the Zionist settler state under the Obama administration as well as all the things the United States has done to support Israel since Trump came to power. In other words, she set up a perfect representation of the narrative that has existed all along; i.e. despite the fact that the Obama administration was an unwavering supporter of Israel, giving historical amounts of money and assistance to the settler state, pledging loyalty to the colony, and actively helping to destroy Israel’s self-made enemies, Obama is still considered a “weak” supporter of Israel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

She is obviously acutely aware that this complete, callous, and utter disregard for Palestinian human rights will serve her well, in her future career, and is precisely the posture President Trump wants her to take at the UN.

Rogers is a contributor to The Washington Post’s PostPartisan blog, where he wrote an April 8 piece praising President Donald Trump for authorizing the launch of 59 Tomahawk missiles at a Syrian airbase that reportedly housed warplanes that carried out chemical attacks against civilians.

The New Shadow Brokers Leak Connects the NSA to the Stuxnet Cyber Weapon Used on Iran

Researchers have found an hidden gem inside the treasure trove of the new alleged NSA hacking tools dumped by the Shadow Brokers.

The mysterious hacking group known as Shadow Brokers came back on Friday to drop its most explosive—and damaging—dump yet, a collection of alleged hacking tools for Microsoft Windows computers.

Buried among this new treasure trove, there are several mentions of previously disclosed NSA top secret programs and software such as "STRAITBIZARRE," used to control implants remotely, and "JEEPFLEA," a project to hack the money transferring system SWIFT. These provide yet another hint that these are indeed tools stolen from the NSA's elite hacking team.

Perhaps more surprisingly, the dump also included one tool that was used in the famous Stuxnet worm, arguably the world's first digital weapon, used to hit an Iranian nuclear power facility and damage its centrifuges to slow down the

John W Whitehead’s “Is the U.S. Military Planning to Take Over America?” is based on the information produced by the Pentagon – more than likely by the CIA at Langley. Within each of these movies and TV programs there is a theme of haves and have nots. There is also an overarching dystopian nightmare that most of the citizens freely accept with the exception of, literally, a handful of patriots working night and day to take their country back from the thieving banking and ruling classes that own the citizens like another pet or farm animal.

President Erdogan warns Turkish opposition's challenge to his referendum victory 'will be in vain' as his supporters hunt down and beat protesters

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned opposition parties that their attempts to challenge his referendum victory 'will be in vain'.

Thousands of protesters took to the street in a rally against the controversial victory, which will give President Erdogan sweeping new powers and could see him remain as president until 2029.

It comes as shocking video from last night's demonstrations appeared to show a protester being attacked by pro-Erdogan Turks. In the clip, a person is chased down by a large group, who surround them and kick them to the ground.

This morning, opposition parties complained of a number of irregularities in the voting, and were particularly incensed by an electoral board decision announced on Sunday afternoon to accept as valid ballots that did not bear the official stamp.

After nearly a decade of being able to borrow money for next to nothing, interest rates are finally beginning to creep higher. Even the relatively small increases seen so far have caused problems in the previously booming automobile industry. The size of the auto loan market has ballooned to a historic 1.1 trillion dollars, and subprime lending has once again become the norm. Teaser offers that allow people to get cars with zero money down and 84-month financing have fueled a wave of irresponsible spending. How to bring down the elephant in the room

The reason why I decided to tackle this issue today is that the forces who broke Trump in less than a month are also the very same forces who have forced him into a political 180: the Neocons and the US deep state. However, I think that these two concepts can be fused into on I would call the “Ziocons”: basically Zionists plus some rabid Anglo imperialists à la Cheney or McCain. These are the folks who control the US corporate media, Hollywood, Congress, most of academia, etc. These are the folks who organized a ferocious assault on the “nationalist” or “patriotic” wing of Trump supporters and ousted Flynn and Bannon and these are the folks who basically staged a color revolution against Trump. There is some pretty good evidence that the person in charge of this quiet coup is Jared Kushner, a rabid Zionist. Maybe. Maybe not.

A Government of Morons

Led by a man who can barely read.
Paul Craig Roberts

It has become embarrassing to be an American. Our country has had four war criminal presidents in succession.

Violence is America. America is violence. The moronic liberals blame it on gun owners, but it is always the government that is the source of violence. That is the reason our Founding Fathers gave us the Second Amendment. It is not gun owners who have destroyed in whole or part eight countries. It is the armed-at-taxpayer-expense US government that commits the violence.

America’s lust for violence is now bringing the Washington morons up against people who can commit violence back: the Russians and Chinese, Iran and North Korea.

US government 'monitored bank transfers'

A huge range of security weaknesses, said to be worth more than $2m (£1.6m) if sold on the black market, have been leaked online by a hacking group.

Accompanying documents appear to indicate it was able to monitor money flows among some Middle East and Latin American banks.
It apparently did this by gaining access to two service bureaus of the Swift global banking system.

Such a hack could have enabled the US to covertly monitor financial transactions, researchers said.

The files were released by Shadow Brokers, a hacking group that has previously leaked malware.

If genuine, it represents perhaps the most significant exposure of the US agency's files since the Edward Snowden leaks in 2013.

Paul Craig Roberts Asks "Is That Armageddon Over The Horizon?"

Authored by Paul Craig Roberts,

The insouciance of the Western world is extraordinary.

It is not only Americans who permit themselves to be brainwashed by CNN, MSNBC, NPR, the New York Times and Washington Post, but also their counterparts in Europe, Canada, Australia, and Japan, who rely on the war propaganda machine that poses as a media.

The Western “leaders,” that is, the puppets on the end of the strings pulled by the powerful private interest groups and the Deep State, are just as insouciant.

Trump and his counterparts in the American Empire must be unaware that they are provoking war with Russia and China, or else they are psychopaths.

None of the above scenarios exist entirely outside the realm of possibility, but they do leave the outside observer wondering who could possibly benefit from such tangled alliances. On a whim, I happened to peek at Raytheon’s stock price. The company that manufactures Tomahawk cruise missiles is trading north of $150/share; not an all-time high, but an exceedingly healthy 20 percent leap over a year ago. Tillerson In Moscow: Is World War III Back On Track?

If anyone is worried whether the prospect of a major war, which many of us considered almost inevitable if Hillary Clinton had attained the White House, is back on track, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s visit to Moscow was cold comfort. From his remarks together with his counterpart Sergey Lavrov, there is now little reason to expect any improvement in US-Russia ties anytime soon, if ever, and much reason to expect them to get worse – a lot worse.

There has been a great deal of speculation as to why President Donald Trump, who promised a break with the warmongering policies Hillary would have implemented, and which characterized the administrations of Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, would have bombed Syria’s Shayrat airbase in retaliation for a supposed chemical weapons (CW) strike without evidence or authorization from either Congress or the UN Security Council.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In looking, analytically, at the results of last year's election, it has become crystal clear precisely what, rather than who, won that election, and the victor was ...the American Deep State, whose motives, objectives, and plans do not change, regardless of who "chairs" the oval office.

Those agendas include wars with Russia and China, to destabilize the ruble and the yuan, and to protect the financial empires of both the international elite, and the American elite.

Looking at the tensions building up with Syria and Russia, I would not be surprised to see a reinstitution of the draft in this country, and sooner rather than later; but this one will be coming not only for America's sons, but for America's daughters as well.

President Trump has, since his inauguration, proven himself to be totally impotent against the American Deep State, and has done so many flip-flops on domestic and international policies to please his new masters, that it nearly gave me whiplash in watching these position reversals.

What we will see with this man's administration, will be more wars; more state surveillance at every level; more Americans dying and getting maimed for life, for the pursuit of these wars, which are always economic in nature; and more income inequality.

Trump May Send Up To 50,000 Troops To Syria

It appears that Mike Cernovich, who earlier this week wrote that Trump’s national security advisor, Gen. H.R.McMaster, was planning on sending as many as 150,000 troops to Syria, may have been right again. According to Bloomberg commentator Eli Lake, who has now made a habit of confirming Cernovich “conspiracy theories” (he did so previously with the Susan Rice scoop), Trump may be on the verge of escalating the proxy war in Syria by sending anywhere between 10,000 and 50,000 troops on the ground, and – if Cernovich is indeed correct – as much as three times more.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This will nearly inevitably mean war with Russia.

And war with Russia right now is a really lousy idea, in light of the realities that the US military doesn't have the weaponry; the troop strength; the money; or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome to conventional war with Russia.

Syria: Watching the Jordanian Border. America’s Military Buildup

While focus regarding the Syrian conflict has shifted almost exclusively to recent US cruise missile strikes, what the strikes are designed to lay the groundwork for holds much larger implications. Particular attention should be focused on US forces operating both within Syrian territory and along Syria’s borders.

Normalizing the use of stand-off weapons like cruise missiles makes it easier and more likely that similar attacks will unfold in the near future – particularly if Syria and its allies fail to demonstrate a significant deterrence against future attacks.

The use of stand-off weapons by the United States and the routine use of airstrikes by US allies including Israel within Syrian territory will likely open the door to wider and more direct military intervention against the Syrian government.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And what happens when US forces get into direct conflict with Russian forces on the ground in Syria?!?

TRUMP’S DEEPENING EMBRACE OF BAHRAIN’S REPRESSIVE MONARCHY MAY LEAD TO MORE INSTABILITY

But while the regime portrays itself to the United States as a bulwark of regional stability, the grim ferocity of its crackdown might make escalated conflict within Bahrain inevitable — and potentially even draw in outside powers like Iran. As the window for political reform closes under the Trump administration, an increasingly violent, unstable future may await Bahrain and the Gulf region as a whole.

“One way that the Trump administration is seeking to differentiate itself from its predecessor is by lowering any public criticism of human rights violations and repression in the Gulf States,” says Cole Bockenfeld, Deputy Director for Policy at the Project on Middle East Democracy. “Obama identified arms sales as a point of U.S. leverage in the Gulf and attempted to use them to exert some controls over human rights violations, whereas Trump is clearly de-linking human rights conditions from future sales.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The late President Kennedy said it best: "When peaceful revolution is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable."

Yes, I know that Bahrain is home to the US Navy's 5th Fleet; but while peaceful demonstrations have been utterly tamped down for the moment, it is only a matter of time before they will become more violent, under this repressive regime.

Not only have peaceful demonstrators been arrested, tortured to create "confessions", convicted by kangaroo courts, and stuffed into jail cells for eons; the first responders who treated them were also arrested, tortured to "create confessions", convicted by kangaroo courts, and sentenced to huge jail terms as well.

One must conclude that the head of the Al Khalifa Monarchy is a man President Trump greatly admires for his ability to sustain "order", at all costs, no matter the brutality used with which he accomplishes this.

Pyongyang warns of retaliation against US ‘military hysteria’

North Korea told the United States on Saturday to end its “military hysteria” or face retaliation as the reclusive state marked the 105th birth anniversary of its founding father with mass military parades in the capital Pyongyang.

The warning came as a US aircraft carrier and destroyers steamed into waters off the Korean Peninsular.

The arrival follows what is perceived as a shift in US military policy under President Donald Trump. Last week, the US attacked a Syrian airfield for the first time with cruise missiles and this week dropped the world’s largest non-nuclear bomb on Afghanistan. Another first.

Does this shift include North Korea is the question as tensions on the Korean peninsula have escalated over Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile testing program in violation of UN Security Council resolutions. North Korea is reportedly building an intercontinental ballistic missile that could strike the United States.

Webmaster's Commentary:

All the pieces appear to be well in place; it is just a matter of time before something happens here, most likely instigated by the US military.

US government prepared to launch a pre-emptive attack against North Korea before its nuclear bomb test, 14 April, 2017

So far, as nearly as anyone can discern, that test hasn't happened yet.

However, the US government loves to initiate false flags, to get its geopolitical agendas moving.

Were I a betting woman, I would not bet against a false flag here, to be blamed on North Korea, to kick things off in the next week or so.

THE U.S. AND CHINA: WHY THE SUDDEN CONVERGENCE ON NORTH KOREA?

China has effectively subsidized and supported the North Korean state for the past 70 years as a buffer against a land invasion from South Korea. China supplies North Korea with fossil fuels and other essentials and protects it diplomatically.

But does this buffer-state strategy make sense in today's world? The threat is now from nuclear missiles and trade wars, not a land invasion. Though we cannot know what's being discussed or decided behind close doors, the high cost of subsidizing a rogue nuclear state for the now-irrelevant value of a physical buffer may finally be weighing on Chinese decision-makers.

Then there's the all-important matter of "face". The perception of status, influence and power--what's known as "face"--is the core concern in East-Asian societies. "Losing face" by being revealed as powerless and lacking influence is to be avoided at all costs.

U.S. OIL ASSETS COULD FALL INTO RUSSIAN HANDS IF VENEZUELA DEFAULTS

If Venezuela defaults on its debt obligations, it could result in Russia taking control over U.S. refining assets, leading to more Russian “control over oil and gas prices worldwide,” which would “inhibit U.S. energy security, and undermine broader U.S. geopolitical efforts.”

That is the warning from two members of Congress, Reps. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) and Albio Sires (D-NJ). The two Congressmen sent a joint letter to the U.S. Secretary of Treasury Steven Mnuchin, requesting his attention on the matter. A bipartisan group of six U.S. Senators also requested a response from Secretary Mnuchin on the matter.

They cite the fact that Russia’s government-backed oil company, Rosneft, gave Venezuela’s state-owned oil company, PDVSA, a $1.5 billion loan. As collateral, PDVSA offered up 49.9 percent of Citgo, a subsidiary of the Venezuelan oil company. Citgo owns three refineries in the U.S., along with pipelines and retail gas stations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, what do these Congressmen suggest, as Venezuela melts down politically, economically, and socially?!?

An invasion and occupation, perhaps, to keep these assets from falling into Russian hands, just at the point where the Venezuelan military can no longer control the anger of the Venezuelan people, who see themselves as thoroughly betrayed by their government?!?

Yes, such action would be officially horrible; but the US government has got to look at its own complicity in insuring that the Venezuelan government would ultimately fall, before it whines and complains about this possible outcome from that complicity.

Venezuela sanctioned by the US for trading with Iran, 2011

Venezuela declared a national security threat, 2015

This is yet another example of the US government having a pathological inability to think anything through to its logical conclusion.

If the US government wanted Maduro's "Bolivar Republic" to fail, they should have known that this default was going to become one of the downsides of that economic/social failure.

The B61-12 is a modernized version of the B61 gravity bomb, the mainstay of the Air Force’s nuclear arsenal and one of the legs of the so-called nuclear triad, along with the intercontinental ballistic missiles deployed from either ground-based silos or oceangoing submarines.

President Donald Trump has endorsed an ambitious – and expensive – plan to modernize the US nuclear triad, begun under his predecessor. The B61-12 is intended to consolidate and replace all the B61 variants currently in service.

Three successful development flight tests of the B61-12 were conducted in 2015. The March test was the first in a series scheduled to span the next three years, with the final design review due in September 2018 and the first production unit scheduled for completion by March 2020.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I wish to hell that this government would be testing the outcomes of moral, hard-won negotiations, rather than gravity bomb effectiveness!

Western security services were warned Stockholm terrorist was an ISIS fanatic BEFORE he ploughed a truck into shoppers killing four people, Uzbekistan says

Western security services were told the man who drove a truck into shoppers in Stockholm was an ISIS fanatic before he carried out his attack, Uzbek authorities say.

Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov said on Friday that 'one of our Western partners' had been informed of 39-year-old Rakhmat Akilov's 'criminal activities'.

Mr Kamilov went on to say that Akilov used online messaging services to encourage people to travel to Syria and join the terror group. He did not say which nation had been informed, or precisely when.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Apparently, now in Sweden, it is preferable to allow jihadists to assassinate perfectly innocent civilians, rather that stop it.

I think I will never visit this country, ever.

New leak suggests NSA penetrated Mideast banking networks

A new set of documents purportedly lifted from the U.S. National Security Agency suggests that American spies have burrowed deep into the Middle East's financial network, apparently compromising the Dubai office of the anti-money laundering and financial services firm EastNets. The company said Friday the documents were dated and denied that any customer data had been affected.

TheShadowBrokers, which startled the security experts last year by releasing some of the NSA's hacking tools, has recently resumed pouring secrets into the public domain. In a first for TheShadowBrokers, the data include PowerPoint slides and purported target lists, suggesting the group has access to a broader range of information than previously known.

Pharmaceutical giant planned to destroy stocks of cancer drugs to force price hike – report

One of the world’s leading drug companies considered destroying its stockpiles of life-saving cancer medicines and allegedly created artificial shortages in its attempts to profit from price hikes, the Times reports.

The South African Aspen Pharmacare drug company nurtured a plan of destroying its own cancer medicine supplies during its row with the Spanish health service in 2014. It sought to push a price increase for its products amounting to 4,000 percent, the Times reports, citing the company’s internal emails it obtained.

Daniel Boone (1734 - 1820)

Daniel Boone is one of the most famous frontiersmen in U.S. history. He was a skilled hunter, trapper, and trailblazer. During the early days of westward expansion, Boone’s explorations helped open the frontier to new settlements. In 1799, he led his family and other settlers across the Mississippi River into land populated by Native Americans but claimed by Spain. Boone spent the last twenty years of his life in what is now Missouri.

7-minute video: Final call for .01% arrests, or risk WW3 from desperate ‘masters’ who’ll never ever ever ever reveal ongoing rogue state empire using ‘We the People’ as stupefied work animals. Your choice is…?

James Corbett’s four minutes on the US “official story” to defend innocent children from Syria’s government attacks; transcript and sources:

US Presidents bomb children with ‘official reason’ to save children while psychopathic policies intentionally poverty-murder 20,000 children daily

President Obama had previously feigned care for children to argue for war on Syria, despite Orwellian neglect of ~20,000 innocent children dying daily from preventable poverty promised by “former” colonial and “developed” nations’ “leaders” to end since 1969. The total deaths of children since those reneged promises never mentioned by complicit corporate media is somewhere over 600 million; more than twice the population of the United States.

Piece of Cake: New Normal of Trump's Foreign Policy

Here's the Commander-in-chief of the Beautiful Piece of Chocolate Cake School of Foreign Policy, expanding on his next move regarding North Korea.

"We are sending an armada. Very powerful. We have submarines. Very powerful. Far more powerful than the aircraft carrier. That I can tell you."

As if bombing nuclear-armed North Korea would be as much of a piece of cake as Tomahawking a semi-deserted air base in Syria. But then, that's the beauty of a box of chocolates foreign policy; you never know what you're gonna get.

Trump: NATO No Longer Obsolete, Needs to Play Bigger Role Fighting Daesh

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have seen some incredible back-flips from President Trump on both foreign and domestic policies, which would completely make the most ardent, and capable, of gymnasts, dizzy.

These reversals do not augur well for peace in this work, and folks...something wicked this way will come, because of them.

Clinton’s mania for death and destruction lives on in Trump: Analyst

With the firing the largest non-nuclear bomb in the US arsenal in Afghanistan, President Donald Trump has taken war to the next level, an American political analyst and activist says.

“Hillary Clinton lost the White House but her mania for death and destruction lives on in Trump,” Myles Hoenig, a former Green Party candidate for Congress, said in an interview with Press TV on Friday.

On Thursday, a GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb (MOAB), also known as the "mother of all bombs," was dropped on a tunnel complex allegedly used by Daesh (ISIL) militants in Nangarhar province by an MC-130 aircraft, operated by US Air Force Special Operations Command, according to the Pentagon.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The American elections have become, in and of themselves, irrelevant, because voting Americans have only once choice; that of which of the two "deep state" candidates they will elect.

President Trump has been co-opted into the American deep state line about every action he is taking, from bombing Syria, to starting a war with North Korea.

President Trump is just a populist mask for the American Deep State in operation, which means we are looking at more wars of aggression, and more economic destruction to this country, under his watch.

Russia calls for restraint amid North Korea-US crisis

Russia has urged all sides involved in the crisis in the Korean Peninsula to show "restraint", warning of any "provocative steps" amid reports of potential military confrontation between North Korea and the United States.

"Moscow is watching with great concern the escalation of tensions on the Korean peninsula," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.

"We call for restraint from all countries and warn countries not to pursue actions that could consist of any provocative steps."

Tensions between North Korea and the United States have increased over the past weeks. Washington has been concerned by North Korea’s nuclear tests, which Pyongyang believes act as deterrence against a potential invasion by the US or South Korea.

The United States has deployed a strike group, including a large aircraft carrier, to the Korean Peninsula, and North Korea has said it is ready for war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Russia, generally one of the "adults in the room in the bowels of geopolitical power" is entirely correct to be concerned.

There is a hard deadline against which President Trump, and his military advisors are working, and that is the South Korean presidential election, which happens on 9 May; that's less than a month away.

If South Korea elects a president who is pro the "sunshine policy" with North Korea, they are going to push back against any military confrontation against North Korea; that is why President Trump and his advisors, feel compelled to do any military action against North Korea sooner rather later, while South Korea is under the control of a relatively weak, "caretaker government!"

Trump May Send Up To 50,000 Troops To Syria

It appears that Mike Cernovich, who earlier this week wrote that Trump's national security advisor, Gen. H.R.McMaster, was planning on sending as many as 150,000 troops to Syria, may have been right again. According to Bloomberg commentator Eli Lake, who has now made a habit of confirming Cernovich "conspiracy theories" (he did so previously with the Susan Rice scoop), Trump may be on the verge of escalating the proxy war in Syria by sending anywhere between 10,000 and 50,000 troops on the ground, and - if Cernovich is indeed correct - as much as three times more.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF these reports are true, and ground troops are dispatched to Syria, this will almost inevitably lead to war with Russia.

The 'Smoking-Gun' Quote From The Postol Report On The Recent Syrian Gas-Attack

After detailed decimation of President Trump’s ‘intelligence’ ‘justifying’ his invasion of Syria, the MIT specialist on such intelligence-analysis, Dr. Theodore Postol, concludes:

I have worked with the intelligence community in the past, and I have grave concerns about the politicization of intelligence that seems to be occurring with more frequency in recent times – but I know that the intelligence community has highly capable analysts in it. And if those analysts were properly consulted about the claims in the White House document they would have not approved the document going forward.

I am available to expand on these comments substantially. I have only had a few hours to quickly review the alleged White House intelligence report. But a quick perusal shows without a lot of analysis that this report cannot be correct, and it also appears that this report was not properly vetted by the intelligence community.

This is a very serious matter.

WikiLeaks ‘hostile intel,’ Assange & his followers ‘demons’: CIA chief goes ballistic

CIA Director Mike Pompeo called Julian Assange and his associates “demons” and accused WikiLeaks of siding with the world’s dictators and endangering the security of the “free world” with the help of states like Russia.

Speaking at an event organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC on Thursday, the former Kansas congressman went on the warpath against the whistleblower website, accusing its editor Julian Assange of being on the “wrong side of history” and seeking to harm America, freedom and democracy.

How Military Decisions Are REALLY Made

Here’s how the U.S. actually makes decisions on when to go to war:

First. Decisions are made based – not upon defense – but upon gaining economic and geostrategic advantage.

For example, America has a policy of using the military to contain China’s growing economic influence – and of considering economic rivalry to be a basis for war.

And many recent battles are really pipeline wars.

US Vice President’s Visit to Seoul to Send ‘Clear Message’ to Pyongyang

South Korea hopes to send a clear message to its' northern neighbor during the visit of US VP Michael Pence, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cho June-hyuck said on Wednesday.

South Korea hopes to send a clear message to North Korea during the visit of US Vice President Michael Pence, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cho June-hyuck said on Wednesday.

"As Vice President Pence's South Korean visit comes at a very sensitive time… A clear message on joint efforts in terms of the South Korea-U.S. alliance against North Korea will be sent out," the spokesman said, as quoted by the Yonhap news agency, stressing that this will be the first visit by Pence to Asia since taking office.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One thing appears to be driving the US government's rush to war against North Korea; South Koreans go to the polls on 9 May to elect a new president. At the moment, there is a caretaker, transitional government in place until the results of the election are made known.

The last thing President Trump and his military advisors want is having to deal with a duly elected South Korean President, who wants to observe the "sunshine policy" of cooperation and trade with North Korea.

That's part of what is driving this furious rush to war, which appears to me to be happening sooner rather than later.

In fact, I would not be surprised if Trump ordered an attack on North Korea right after Easter Sunday, when Vice-President Pence will be spending the day with US troops in South Korea.

US Airstrike on North Korea Risks Leading to '5-6 Chernobyl-Type Disasters'

If Washington decides to carry out a unilateral military action against Pyongyang, the attack could lead to a nuclear disaster affecting the entire Korean Peninsula, Director of the Center of South Korean Studies at the Institute of Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Zhebin told Sputnik.

"Approximately 30 nuclear power plants are operational in South Korea. Several of them could be destroyed even if conventional bombs and shells are used. This could lead to five-six Chernobyl-type disasters on a relatively small area of 99 square kilometers that could instantly turn into a place unsuitable for life," he explained.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is a multi-catastrophe in the making, if President Trump goes ahead with military attacks against North Korea.

I hope, if there are any adults in the room still left that he trusts as confidants, they will make these dangers known to him.

‘Riskier than striking Syria’: Beijing warns US against attacking North Korea

China has warned the US against using military force against North Korea, after a surprise redeployment of an aircraft carrier group. Washington’s regional allies said they expect it to consult with them before any action.
Tension is mounting in the region as US President Donald Trump said he would solve the “North Korean problem” with or without China’s help. The warning came amid the diversion of the aircraft carrier group ‘USS Carl Vinson’ to the Korean Peninsula and a week after Trump ordered the US Navy to fire a barrage of 59 Tomahawk missiles at a Syrian airbase as punishment for an alleged chemical attack in Idlib province.

Responding to US belligerence, Beijing called against using force against Pyongyang.

“Military force cannot resolve the issue,” Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told reporters in Beijing. “Amid challenge there is opportunity. Amid tensions we will also find a kind of opportunity to return to talks.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Chinese assessment in this issue is bang spot on; North Korea could, potentially, visit a world of hurt upon South Korea, should it be attacked.

I, for one, am praying for cooler, more sane heads to prevail in the White House, and that talks with the US, China, and North and South Korea be revisited, and immediately.

Such talks should offer a true, detailed peace treaty to North Korea, to replace the existing armistice, with the quid pro quo being that North Korea stops its nuclear weapons program for that to happen.

Of course, this...would be logical.

‘Dream of generations’: Poland officially welcomes US contingent of NATO’s Russia-deterrent force

Poland has officially welcomed the US soldiers who will form the backbone of NATO’s multinational battalion in the country as part of the bloc's enhanced strategy to contain Russia. President Duda said it is something Poles have "dreamt of for generations.”

The American contingent of 900 troops, who arrived in Poland in March, will serve side by side on a rotational basis with 150 British and 120 Romanians soldiers in Orzysz.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is delusional thinking, writ large, and thoroughly enabled by the US and NATO.

Why in the name of heaven would Putin want to invade Poland?!?

The short answer is, he wouldn't.

But it appears that NATO is pre-positioning troops and materials on, or close to, the Russian border, and there has to be an allegedly logical reason for this.

And their allegedly logical, ultimate reason for this is, a NATO war against Russia.

Yes, NATO, and the US government have gone utterly frothing-at-the-mouth, barking dog mad on this delusion, but that is why you are seeing this this huge expenditure in human and technical capital literally surrounding Russia at this time.

Trump Taps Salesman To Run Military Draft

Late Monday night, when many Americans were in bed, President Donald Trump quietly announced his intention to nominate former Washington state senator Don Benton (R) to be director of the Selective Service System, which operates the nation’s military draft.

This was when the problems first came to light.

They started with a White House statement that lauded Benton’s environmental record, and the three years he spent leading the Environmental Services Department in Clark County, Washington.

From the White House:

During his tenure [Benton], reduced the cost of removing hazardous waste from the waste stream while doubling citizen participation and tripling the tonnage of hazardous waste removed. Mr. Benton was also responsible for Clark County certifying more Green Schools than in any other county in Washington State.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have long predicted that further US military entanglement in other countries, in order to expropriate foreign resources to which the US government has utterly no moral right, would necessitate a return to the the draft in the US.

Unfortunately, it appears that my prediction was correct, and I see this happening sooner, rather than later.

And so of course, President Trump IS going to need a "good salesman" to "resell" the draft to the American people; otherwise, it will be met with national fury and contempt.

IF YOU'RE WONDERING WHY TRUMP CAN JUST BOMB COUNTRIES; ASK OBAMA, BUSH, & CLINTON

Fast forward a few years to peace prize laureate Barack Obama, who invaded Libya without Congressional approval in 2011. The U.S. war establishment downplayed America’s role in the Libyan war to try to justify its involvement yet conveniently missed the fact that America’s role was so integral it was deemed to be the “backbone” of any NATO offensive in the 2011 conflict.

Obama took these war powers further than any president before him. He waged covert wars and overt wars across so many countries that Bush and Clinton paled in comparison. In a six-year period, he bombed seven majority-Muslim countries. He also compiled a secret “kill list,” personally signing off on murders once a week. The weekly ceremony was aptly named “Terror Tuesdays.” During the tenure of Obama’s drone strike assassination program, he also terminated American citizens without trial.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We the People no longer have Congressional Representatives; they have become representatives of the powerful corporations which back, and shape, these ongoing, immoral and illegal wars, and profit from them immensely, as do those alleged Congressional Representatives, through outright graft and fat stock portfolios.

Congressional representatives should have their financial affairs in a blind trust, as does the President, but that will, unfortunately, will only happen when pigs discover their ability to fly.

TRUMP HAS A NEW RED LINE IN SYRIA

Trump administration officials have been making stunning admissions in the days following the recent military strike on the Syrian government.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer experienced a Freudian slip when he accidentally said America’s goal in the region was to “destabilize Syria” — before he realized what he had said and attempted to backtrack. Then, he accidentally said it again. And just one day before Secretary of State Rex Tillerson left for Moscow, he told reporters the U.S. would come to the defense of innocent civilians “anywhere in the world.” Spicer elaborated on Tillerson’s sentiments.

“When you watch babies and children being gassed and suffer under barrel bombs, you are instantaneously moved to action,” the press secretary said. “I think this president’s made it very clear that if those actions were to continue, further action will definitely be considered by the United States.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sean Spicer and President Trump, a word here.

Apparently for you both, some suffering of children is "more equal" than others, because it can be used toward a specific geopolitical end.

So let's talk about about the US government-enabled Saudi assassinations of Yemeni children, shall we, as uncomfortable for you both as that may be, as this is the horror inflicted on children you don't want the world to see.

The Saudi military is routinely killing and maiming Yemeni children.

Images: dead and maimed Yemeni children from Saudi air strikes

The Saudis have blockaded Yemeni ports, to prevent food from getting in, so Yemeni children are dying the slow, painful death of malnutrition.

Images: Yemeni children dying of malnutrition, due to Saudi port blockades

And lastly, there has been an enormous spike in cancers, still births, and birth defects in Yemen, courtesy of the Saudis using depleted uranium weapons, which they got from either the US or the UK.

Images: Saudi military using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen

Images: Yemeni children with severe birth defects (warning:severely graphic)

So gentlemen, I have shown you, and the rest of our readership, the images the US government and military DO NOT WANT then American people to see; those images include the killing and maiming of Yemeni children from Saudi bombing runs; the face of slow starvation through malnutrition, caused by Saudi port blockades; images of the Saudis using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen; and the effects of depleted uranium on Yemeni children, suffering severe birth defects because of their having been poisoned in the womb by depleted uranium.

So please collectively forgive me if your "for the children" pitch rings more than hollow in Syria, as your "excuse" to bomb the military installation there.

It was simply geopolitically expedient to exploit the images of dead Syrian children you wanted the world to see, rather than the images of dead and dying Yemeni children you do not want the world to see.
