Trump and Korea: I’m Also Scared

Meanwhile, Trump has backed himself into a corner over North Korea. His threats and bombast have not made the North’s leader Kim Jong-un stop threatening to launch nuclear-armed missiles at the US island of Guam, Hawaii, Japan and South Korea. That is, if the US and South Korea keep up their highly provocative annual military war games on North Korea’s borders that each year invoke North Korea’s fury.

Unless, of course, Trump, who managed to avoid Vietnam era military service because of a bump on his foot, decides to go nuclear. This would mean hitting North Korea with a score or more nuclear weapons, large and small, before the North could riposte. North Korea would be totally destroyed, and its 25 million people left dying, maimed or starving. Japan, the world’s third largest economy, would also be shattered.

US Dismisses UN Plea: Won’t Stop Bombing Civilians in Raqqa

The soaring civilian death toll form US airstrikes against the ISIS capital city of Raqqa has gotten so bad that yesterday, it actually fueled a statement from the UN requesting the US pause their airstrikes to allow more civilians to flee the city.

US officials are rejecting this call, however, with Special Envoy Brett McGurk insisting that the war against ISIS is going very well, and that the “number one thing that we have to do to” to help civilians in Raqqa is continue the war and defeat ISIS outright.

McGurk went on to say that President Trump is “focused like a laser destroying ISIS,” and that the war is going well, but that they will take the UN call to pause the strikes “under advisement.” It’s clear, however, they aren’t taking the call seriously.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This event very much reminds me of the statement by the Papal Legate at the siege of the Cathars at Montsegur, France.

When informed that women and children were with the men, taking refuge here, the Papal Legate's command was: "Kill them all; God will find his own!!"

Given this bloodlust for killing everyone still breathing in Raqqa, allegedly to take out ISIS, I am completely astonished that Special Envoy McGurk has not requested the use of several MOAB bombs against the city.

Because it has become painfully apparent that in US diplospeak, "helping people" now means "assassinating civilians".

US, Somali Troops Execute 10 Civilians, Including Children, in Village Raid

US and Somali troops attacked the farming village of Barire early Friday morning, capturing a group of ten civilians and summarily executing them one at a time. Locals brought the bodies, including three children, to the capital of Mogadishu to protest the incident.

Deputy Governor of Lower Shabelle Ali Nur Mohammed blamed the US forces, saying that they rounded up the farmers working in the fields, then “one by one” shot them, saying that all the slain were unarmed civilians.

US African Command confirmed that US troops were “supporting” the Somali operation, but offered no details. They confirmed being aware of reports of civilians being killed and promised an “assessment” of the matter.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Hey, particularly the murder of those children; wow, it was like shooting fish in a barrel!!" - Official Somali government souse.

Just when the hell, please, did I become a citizen of a country which assassinates children, then just throws a whitewash on the whole action, with complete cynical impunity?!?

ANGRY MARINE WHO DISCOVERED AWAN'S "SMASHED HARD DRIVES" BREAKS SILENCE, UNLOADS ON WASSERMAN SCHULTZ

Andre Taggart, the U.S. Marine who alerted the FBI when he moved into a house he rented from Imran Awan only to find a garage full of "smashed hard drives", has decided to reveal his identity in a stinging, at least for Debbie Wasserman Schultz, new interview with the Daily Caller.

Taggart, a black U.S. Marine who says he typically votes Democrat, is apparently fed up with Debbie Wasserman Schultz's Islamophobia smoke screen which he views as just a dishonest attempt to shield the Awans from their crimes. In his epic rant to the Daily Caller, Taggart says the whole thing just "pisses me off" and that he's "absolutely disgusted with everything going on in the country right now."

As we noted a few weeks ago, Taggart first discovered Awan's smashed hard drives after he rented a house in Lorton, Va. that belonged to them. Upon moving in, the Marine found a trove of abandoned computer equipment in the garage, much of which had been destroyed, and called the FBI to take a look.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Welcome to my world, Mr. Taggart; and you did a brave and noble thing by turning those smashed drives over to the FBI, and I hope and pray that some of the intel on them will reveal the insidious, drug-drenched money-junkie workings of the DNC and the Clinton Foundation.

NORTH KOREA RISKS ‘FIRE AND FURY’ WITH LAUNCH OF THREE ‘SHORT-RANGE’ MISSILES

In a move which can only be construed as calling President Trump’s bluff over his ‘fire and fury’ threat over further provocations, U.S. Pacific Command announced that North Korea has launched several ‘Short-Range’ ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan today.

Earlier today, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff reported that several ‘unidentified projectiles’ from area of Gitdaeryong in Gangwon Province at around 6:49 a.m. local time, flying over 250 Km (155 miles) towards the North East.

“Our military is closely monitoring for North Korean additional provocation and strengthened surveillance and security postures and maintaining readiness postures,” the South Korean release said.

Meanwhile, Japanese officials told Kyodo news service that the North had fired ‘a projectile’ into the sea between Japan and the Korean peninsula.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In light of the fact that no people or property appeared to have been harmed in the falling of these missiles, I think, at this moment, President Trump is going to show restraint; at least, that is what I would caution him to do right now, were I a "president whisperer".

MUGABE SAYS ZIMBABWE "WILL NOT PROSECUTE KILLERS OF WHITE FARMERS"

93-year-old Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe made it clear in an address this week that people who murdered white farmers during a government-sanctioned purge in the 2000s will never be prosecuted.

In 2000, Zimbabwe implemented a controversial land reform program that saw squatters invade and seize hundreds of white-owned farms around the country. As Newsweek details, the violent seizures resulted in the murder of several white farmers, with many more displaced, and close associates of Mugabe given large chunks of land.

And now, speaking at a rally in Harare, Mugabe confirmed this massacre will go unpunished, according to Zimbabwean news site NewsDay.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This was never a "land reform" program; it was a land grab program, and by any means necessary, including summary execution of the existing land owners.

And to the people of South Africa; apparently, if you are non-indigenous person owning agricultural land, you are next:

Sears Death Spiral Accelerates: Vendors Halt Shipments As Cost Of Default Insurance Soars

When we commented back in March on the unexpected "going concern" notice in Sears' 10-K which sent the stock crashing, we pointed out the immediate spin provided by Eddie Lampert's distressed retailer which promised that its comeback plan may help alleviate the concerns, “satisfying our estimated liquidity needs 12 months from the issuance of the financial statements", to which however we added the footnote that "the question is what happens when vendors start demanding cash on delivery as concerns about SHLD.'s liquidity concerns continue to grow.

Shortly after, we wrote "Sears Enters Death Spiral: Vendors Halt Shipments, Insurers Bail" in which we described that as Sears financial condition deteriorated, vendors were boosting their "defensive measures", such as reducing shipments and asking for better payment terms, to protect against the risk of nonpayment as the company warned about its finances.

Rome Is Burning... This Time It's By Refugees

Police in Rome evicted 100s of refugees that had occupied Piazza Independenza just one block from the country’s main train station.

The squatters were defiant so local police used water cannons and batons in the forceful eviction. As Reuters reports,

Some 100 refugees had occupied Piazza Independenza since Saturday, when most of about 800 squatters were evicted from an adjacent office building they had occupied for about five years.

Hung on the building was a sheet with writing reading “We are refugees, not terrorists” in Italian.

A small fire burned on the pavement and a sheet hanging from a first-floor window was set alight by squatters inside. Most of the squatters were Eritreans who had been granted asylum. Police said they had refused to accept lodging offered by the city.

More than 600,000 boat migrants have arrived in Italy from North Africa since 2014.

LA’s response to homeless encampments ‘isn’t working,’ councilman says

Amid rising homelessness and mounting outcry from residents and business owners, a Los Angeles city councilman said Wednesday he wants to take a hard look at the way the city responds to the increasing presence of encampments and recreational vehicles.

“What we have isn’t working,” Councilman Mitchell Englander said.

In recent months, the issue of homelessness has become inescapable, with residents encountering more homelessness in their neighborhoods, according to the councilman, who represents the northwest San Fernando Valley.

“There’s not a conversation I have — whether it’s fixing a street, trimming a tree, walking to school or going to a grocery store — where we don’t talk about homelessness,” he said.

Out of Los Angeles City Councilman Joe Buscaino’s office: “Ditto,” said spokesman Branimir Kvartuc.

“We’re very, very conscious of it,” Kvartuc said. “It’s a battle every day.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is a horrific image of America, going out to the world, that we do not have the means, or willingness, to deal with the problem.

I cannot imagine anyone saying to themselves, "Oh, I just want to be so financially stressed, after losing my job and my residence, because I couldn't pay the rent, that I sincerely want to homeless now."

I am no bleeding heart; I was very lucky to come from a family with true work ethics, and have learned to make what I'm good at into a profession.

Newsletter on UCCS: 'Veterans should be banned from four-year universities'

The university explained while this group is not affiliated with the college, they say it is free speech and the group can post what they want.

The article says veterans should be banned from UCCS and other four-year colleges. It also generalizes veterans and says they are unsympathetic to the LGBTQ community. The article says all veterans have far right-wing ideologies.

"They [the authors of the letter] try and talk about inclusion as a principle," said UCCS student Joe Hollmann. "Yet, they're excluding one of the most important members of society, those that are guarding our freedom to even talk about this."

Webmaster's Commentary:

ARE YOU FLIPPING KIDDING ME?!?

This is just one of the most misconceived concepts in a long history of misconceived concepts; to deny an education to Veterans because of some assessment, created by magical thinking, they are all right wingers, so have no right to an education at this school?!?

Where is the logic, here?!? Has anyone actually come up with a standards and means test to determine what former military think, to make that determination?!? And please, aren't we all Americans, even if we think differently about political issues?!? And that to me, coupled with the First Amendment restrictions and educational restrictions someone at this school, or may have attended this school, want to force on their community.

NAFTA Is 23 Years Old – Here Are 20 Facts That Show How It Is Destroying The Economy

Back in the early 1990s, the North American Free Trade Agreement was one of the hottest political issues in the country. When he was running for president in 1992, Bill Clinton promised that NAFTA would result in an increase in the number of high quality jobs for Americans that it would reduce illegal immigration. Ross Perot warned that just the opposite would happen. He warned that if NAFTA was implemented there would be a “giant sucking sound” as thousands of businesses and millions of jobs left this country. Most Americans chose to believe Bill Clinton. Well, it is 20 years later and it turns out that Perot was right and Clinton was dead wrong. But now history is repeating itself, and most Americans don’t even realize that it is happening. As you will read about at the end of this article, Barack Obama has been negotiating a secret trade treaty that is being called “NAFTA on steroids”, and if Congress adopts it we could lose millions more good paying jobs.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Any trade deals which do not better the situation of workers in the US makes them worse for the American worker, and consequently, should not be ratified by the US Senate.

But we know what will happen here; corporations who support these alleged congressional representatives, will be come "The Congressional Whisperers", and insure that trade deals which compromise the American people, financially, will ultimately be ratified, because those deals support their corporations, no matter how horrific they may well be for We the People.

US Military Bio-labs in Ukraine, Production of Bio-weapons and “Disease Causing Agents”

Ukraine turned into the proving ground for the new generation of US biological weapons, European mass media report.

In 2015, American alternative media outlet InfoWars accused the Pentagon of developing new types of biological weapons in secret military laboratories in Ukraine. The facilities were constructed under the terms of the bilateral agreement signed between the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Department of Defense in 2012.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Just lovely; why are they not putting energy and effort into curing people, rather than killing them?!?

I have to wonder against whom these weapons are to be used; and that makes me very nervous.

Whistleblower Lawsuit Charges Illegal Retaliation, Dangerous Practices at CIA’s Elite Directorate of Operations

The Pars lawsuit claims that, in 2015, the CIA’s Chief of Base at a US military facility routinely required subordinates to risk their lives by passing through an area of hostile fire without any operational need to do so. The Chief of Base who did this, the lawsuit says, was an officer with “limited to no” previous experience operating in a conflict zone.

For reporting the misconduct to his superiors, the lawsuit says Pars was sent home in an act of unlawful retaliation, directed by the Chief of Station, the highest-ranking CIA official in the unnamed country which, given details in the complaint, appears to be Afghanistan. Since the alleged reprisal more than two years ago, the lawsuit says Pars, his career in shambles, has made dozens of unsuccessful attempts to get a new assignment. Meanwhile, there is no public record of any accountability for the Chief of Station or other CIA officials allegedly involved.

The CIA declined to comment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is obviously completely insane, and should have been stopped by this lady's superiors; that fact that they didn't, yet set upon Pars, to "murder the messenger", rather than fix the problem.

This is an institutional problem for many American alphabet soup agencies, and needs to be fixed.

NEW BILL WOULD FORCE ARRESTED PROTESTERS TO PAY POLICE OVERTIME, OTHER FEES

A NEW BILL INTRODUCED by seven Pennsylvania Republican state lawmakers could force protesters arrested at demonstrations to pay for police overtime and other fees related to the action.

The bill, SB 754, has been introduced by Rep. Scott Martin of Lancaster County; his district has been the site of anti-pipeline protests aimed at the Atlantic Sunrise natural gas pipeline.

Under the terms of the bill, “a person is responsible for public safety response costs incurred by a State agency or political subdivision as a result of the State agency’s or political subdivision’s response to a demonstration if, in connection with the demonstration, the person is convicted of a felony or misdemeanor offense.”

In other words, they could be on the hook for costs, such as police overtime, medical or emergency response, or other basic public services associated with protests. Whatever felony or misdemeanor offense the protester was convicted of would come with its own independent penalty.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This will have an horrifically chilling free speech, protected by the Bill of Rights and Constitution, and would also have a chilling effect on peaceful protestors who just want to make their voices heard, creating no violence whatsoever, which is probably precisely the design intention of the author of this bill.

It very much reminds me of the brilliantly dystopian quote from Orwell's 2984: “The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth.”

IF this kind of behaviour is asserted at the State and Federal levels, we will reach a point in this country, where the Constitution and Bill of Rights will be thoroughly eviscerated, and no longer exist as protections against a government which does not serve We the People, but only serves Those the Corporations; we have become irrelevant to our alleged representatives in State and Federal Government.

To those with skills and kids, get the hell out of this country right now; it is morphing into a dictatorship will all the techno bells and whistles to guarantee that you are thoroughly surveilled, 24/7, and you won't understand the ramifications of that surveillance until it is far too late.

Big Brother Wants Warrantless Access to Your Smartphone

Imagine you’re a journalist, meeting with a secret government source. Thanks to the information provided by this source, you break an astronomically important story of government fraud or abuse. After the story breaks, the government decides it wants to go back and look at your cell phone’s historic geolocation information and metadata, tracking your every move and jeopardizing your source. Current Supreme Court precedent and a decision by the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals allow government to collect this type of metadata without a warrant.

That’s why a group of 20 media organizations has filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court, urging the justices to overturn the lower court’s order, and require law enforcement to obtain a warrant before collecting archived cell phone location data and metadata. The brief is signed by media nonprofits such as the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, and media publishers like First Look Media, publisher of The Intercept.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mattis: US Actively Considering Arming Ukraine

On a visit to Ukraine today, Defense Secretary James Mattis played up the narrative that the ongoing fighting in Eastern Ukraine was wholly Russia’s fault, vowing that the US “stands with Ukraine” against the Russians, and confirming active considerations are ongoing to providing lethal military aid to them.

Ukraine’s President Poroshenko claimed 3,000 Russian troops are in Ukrainian territory, a claim which appears to be built around the assumption that Crimea, which seceded from Ukraine and joined the Russian Federation, is still technically Ukrainian.

Still Mattis appeared to accept the number unquestioningly, accusing Russia of trying to “redraw” the map of Europe by military force, and vowing that the US would stand against them. Though he stopped short of promising arms to Ukraine, he gave the impression they were probably coming.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sec General Mattis, a word, please: these alleged "defensive weapons" will most probably not be used in this context. Rather, the Ukrainian military will likely use them in an offensive manner against independent, pro-russian bastions in the Southern and Western parts of the country, which could well erupt into all out war in the region, pitting the US against Russia over Ukraine.

And I sincerely hope you have thought all possible scenarios through, completely, to their logical conclusion before you make this move.

Iran Ready to Support Saudi Arabia in Improving Bilateral Ties

Iranian Foreign Minister claimed that his country is willing to support Saudi Arabia's move to improve bilateral relations.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Iran is ready to improve bilateral relation with Saudi Arabia whenever the latter expresses a similar interest, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said Thursday.

“If the Saudi authorities take steps to improve their relations with us, Iran will certainly respond in a positive manner,” Zarif was quoted as saying by the Anadolu news agency.

Can’t We Get Along? Saudis Ask Iraq to Help Resolve Rivalry with Iran

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: IF these reports are true, and I am reading the tea-leaves correctly, should Saudi Arabia deepen its relations with Tehran, the US will not have its proxy army in Saudi Arabia to fight a war against Iran.

The only country in the region with a leadership which will be collectively excreting bricks with be that of Israel; I am almost willing to bet Netenyahu is at this moment in time, developing several false flag scenarios to blame on Iran and/or Saudi Arabia, with the intentionally of destroying the fledgling trust and rapprochment between these countries.

U.S. SENATE WANTS TO LABEL WIKILEAKS A “NON-STATE HOSTILE INTELLIGENCE SERVICE”

“It is the sense of Congress that WikiLeaks and the senior leadership of WikiLeaks resemble a non-state hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors and should be treated as such a service by the United States,” a section of the Act reads.

The Act almost unanimously passed a Senate panel last month 14-1, rejected by only one man, Sen. Ron Wyden, an Oregon Democrat who staunchly opposed the measure due to the provision that was snuck in about WikiLeaks.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Attorney General Jeff Sessions previously said in April that the arrest of WikiLeaks’ publisher Julian Assange was a “priority” for the DOJ."

Why, please sir?!? Do you any possible clue, or the slight comprehension, of what this kind of petty, impotent language helps makes the Unhinged, Surveilled States of Amerika, look to the rest of the world?!?

To the best of my understanding, the guy has an enviable track record for getting the truth out there, and I find that commendable; you and your buddies in the Senate, however, want him arrested because he has embarrassed the American government by telling American citizens, and the world, the truth about your, and our Government's, activities you didn't want us to have.

D.C. judge approves government warrant for data from anti-Trump website

The Justice Department last week proposed amending the scope of its warrant to exclude the IP addresses of website visitors and limit the search only to records from July 1, 2016, to the Jan. 20 Inauguration Day.

But DreamHost said the warrant was still too broad, as it could sweep in people who sent emails to disruptj20 addresses. The company objected to the two-step process that would require it to turn over data in bulk and let prosecutors search for and seize evidence of criminal involvement in the riots.

Morin said at a hearing on Thursday that he recognised the tension between free speech rights and law enforcement's need to search digital records for evidence. He said he added safeguards to his order granting the government's request for information in an effort to balance those two concerns.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Morin knows the drill in DC: "Plata o Plomo";silver... or lead.

How that gets defined in the bowels of DC, is as: you help me get out this scrape, and you will be rewarded; but if you do not, please accept the reality that we will terminate you... with extreme prejudice.

And Morin, to no great shock, was a Clinton appointee, so he may well be better acquainted with where the bodies are buried, than other of his colleagues.

Morin was appointed judge in 1996 by President Clinton and previously served as presiding judge of the court’s criminal division, where he helped oversee management of calendars for judges who handle criminal cases. He also has worked representing death-penalty clients at the Southern Center for Human Rights in Atlanta and with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender.

I wonder just what, instead of ratcheting down the parameters of his investigation so severely, he would have found if he had been led to connections with some very powerful people, who have utterly no sense of fair play or morality?!?

That's why he got this case; to tighten the screws and button down any attempt to really find where the money went, or implicate any of the DNC in his investigation of these protests.

CONGRESS QUIETLY PASSED A BILL ALLOWING WARRANTLESS SEARCHES OF HOMES—ONLY 1% OPPOSED IT

The proposal for a safety commission to act as a wing of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority may sound logical, when its power includes thing such as the ability to “Adopt, revise, and distribute a written State Safety Oversight Program” and to “Review, approve, oversee, and enforce the adoption and implementation of WMATA’s Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan.”

However, there is one major red flag buried within the text of the bill that stems from the list of “powers” given to the Washington Metrorail Safety Commission, and it violates one of the basic tenants of the U.S. Constitution.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is absolutely just as suspicious as it appears to be, and I hope that this law is, ultimately, repealed in a Supreme Court case.

US TAXPAYERS SPENT $50 MILLION FOR LUXURY CARS, GUNS, & BOOZE TO MENTOR AFGHAN INTEL OFFICERS

A foreign company hired by the U.S. government to mentor and train Afghan intelligence officers billed Uncle Sam for more than $50 million in luxury cars - including Porsches, an Aston Martin, and a Bentley - and the lucrative salaries of executives and their spouses (who didn’t do any work). The firm also spent $1,500 on alcohol and $42,000 on automatic weapons prohibited under the terms of the contract, according to figures provided by a U.S. Senator from a federal audit that has not been released to the public.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And I would almost be willing to wager a penny ...that this report will never be released to the General Public.

And this, when homeless American Vets sleep rough in our alleys, and are unable to get treatment from the VA?!?

This spending in Afghanistan, demonstrates, once again, that average US citizens are irrelevant to those in the bowels of power in DC, and the government is only answerable to the monied corporate class, interested in controlling Afghanistan's pipelines; harvest its minerals; and keeping the burgeoning opium trade here going.

And trust me, in this next "surge" in Afghanistan; it won't be the men and women from the monied class who will die, or get maimed for life, serving this country's economic interests.

HERE'S HOW MANY AMERICANS ARE LIVING PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK (HINT: IT'S A LOT)

Is your family forced to count down the days each month until the next paycheck arrives? If so, you're part of a staggering, and growing, majority of households in America, the richest country on the planet, that is forced to do the same.

According to a new poll conducted by Harris Poll on behalf of CareerBuilder, over three-quarters of American households are forced to live paycheck to paycheck to make ends meet.

The survey highlights a troubling trend in household finances: More than eight years since the end of the recession, the share of Americans who are living on the financial edge is growing, said Mike Erwin, a spokesman for CareerBuilder. While some may want to blame Americans' spendthrift ways, Erwin pointed to two trends that continue to put financial stress on households: stagnant wages and the rising cost of everything from education to many consumer goods.

Jim Willie: Dead Petro-Dollar – New Eastern Energy Cartel: Replacement to the Dead Petro-Dollar

The Petro-Dollar is dead. It had served so well for over 40 years in maintaining the USDollar as global currency reserve, while keeping tight the controls on geopolitical power. The link between crude oil and the USDollar has been broken, painfully evident since 2016 with a harsh price decline that cannot rise about the $50 level. It remains stuck below that level despite heavy collusion in a demonstration that OPEC is dead defunct also. A void has been created in the energy sector, a most important sector. Enter Russia & China to fill the void. Both the crude oil market and the natural gas market have new alliances which feature nations acting in a cooperative manner. The common element is Russia on the production side, complete with pipeline arrays. The common other element is China on the demand side with large customer needs and financial influence. This article describes the two emerging organizations, which the Jackass calls the Oil Consortium and the NatGas Cartel.

OUTRAGE BUILDS OVER GRADE-MANIPULATION SCANDAL IN BALTIMORE SCHOOL SYSTEM

Earlier this month, ‘Project Baltimore’, an investigative reporting initiative, which was launched in March 2017, by Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. uncovered a Baltimore City school with zero students proficient in math and the highest graduation rate in the area.

The school in focus is Northwood Appold Community Academy II, or NACA II, after teachers contacted Project Baltimore saying grades were being change so students can graduate.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are many, horrific examples of abuse of children; but such abuse, intellectually, is visited on more poor and minority students as their alleged "education" in low income areas.

If any kid is NOT being prepared for achieving intellectually, academically, and in real life goals, this is a travesty against that child's future, and the highest possible outcomes for that child scream drug dealer; gang member; and thoroughly addicted adult. Not pretty. are they?!?

The film "Stand and Deliver", was based on a real-life situation with a teacher in the LA area who refused to take failure on the part of his math class to be the norm. So what he did was prepare them to complete in a state level math challenge, which they won, handily. But the School Boards accused them of cheating, so he went back, prepared them again, and they again won-handily.

And why?!? Because this teacher saw potential and giftedness in these kids where others saw them as complete failures, barely graduating high school, and getting them from high school to either social services, or juvenile hall, which were, in their minds, the only outcome for these kids; and that so absolutely was not true.

One of the things we have to do in this country, if we want to grow as a nation, is that all parents, working in tandem with schools, need to participate in the child's,and the school's, life. Be there for the open houses; make time for the PTA meetings, and look your kid's teacher in the eye, and say, "I'm here to help; what can I do, please, in looking over my kids' shoulder at their homework"?!?

OBAMACARE 'ARCHITECT' SETTLES SUIT OVER FRAUD ALLEGATIONS

Jonathan Gruber, the MIT professor who has been dubbed the architect of Obamacare, has settled a lawsuit accusing him of filing fraudulent claims for government payments.

According to the settlement agreement, Gruber’s allegedly fraudulent claims date back to 2014, when the economics professor was hired by the State of Vermont to conduct research and economic modeling “relating to the implementation of Vermont’s single-payer healthcare system.”

Gruber rose to notoriety in late 2014 when video footage surfaced showing him admitting that the Affordable Care Act was passed under false pretenses, even boasting that “the stupidity of the American voter” made the grand deception possible.

The settlement notes that in two of the submitted invoices, Gruber documented that his “research assistants” worked for 500 hours at a rate of $100 an hour.

Webmaster's Commentary:

An interesting piece of work President Obama hired, but that's just the point; Gruber's hiring was due strictly to connectedness and party affiliation.

It was certainly not due to his competency or morality (of which he has absolutely none); it was all about how much money he could intensely suckle from the system, until he was found out to be an utter and complete fraud, who knew the Obamacare system would ultimately collapse under its own weight.

RUSSIA UNVEILS ‘INVISIBLE’ SUPERSONIC FIGHTER JETS HARD TO TRACK ON ENEMY RADARS

Officially revealing the fifth generation of Sukhoi-57 supersonic stealth fighter aircraft, Russia has made a statement that it is in the game of stealth warfare. The Sukhoi-57 is designed to compete with the American F-22 Raptor and the Chinese Shenyang J-31 Falcon Hawk, claimed the official statement from the Russian Ministry of Defence.

“T-50 was created for qualitative superiority over predecessors, opponents and competitors,” says MIA’s Alexander Khrolenko. “This is the answer to the US aircraft of the fifth generation F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This fighter jet looks pretty capable; and in the hands of an experienced pilot, capable of doing some great damage.

With the show Russian WMDs put on in Syria, countries around the world are clamoring for these weapons, as opposed to a lot of what US weaponry manufacturers are creating these days.

And those weapons manufacturers in the US have no one but themselves to blame for this turn of economic events against them.

The next recession--which I suggested yesterday has just begun--will be more than a business-cycle downturn; it will be a devastating meteor storm that destroys huge chunks of the economy while leaving other sectors virtually untouched.

The dynamic that's about to play out is simple: wages for the bottom 95% have gone nowhere for 17 years, while costs have soared far above official inflation for everyone exposed to real-world costs.

We have filled the widening gap between stagnant household income and rising expenses with debt. This stop-gap works for a while, but eventually the cost of servicing debt consumes the entire budget, leaving little to nothing to save or invest.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Again, please, don't panic; but prepare as well as you are able for the coming financeapocolypse.

There are a couple of things to remember here; first, get your debt load paid down as much as you can, and try not to used credit to get stuff you don't really need. To keep your credit score healthy, keep it at a near-zero balance, then buy something small with your credit card, and pay it off as close to zero as you can. There is an impending hike rate coming from the Fed, so that will affect your credit card interest greatly.

One other thing to understand is your credit score, and its meaning, and that can be done free at places like creditkarma.com. Then, if there is something negative and outstanding, you can work to resolve it, so that your credit score goes up.

Why Does US Military Have Records On 2013 Egyptian Military Coup?

Egyptian army chief, General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, led a coup against Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi in 2013. The Egyptian constitution was subsequently suspended. When it happened, President Barack Obama avoided the use of the word “coup” to describe what unfolded. This was to ensure U.S. military aid continued to flow to the country. And, as The Guardian noted, “Ties between the Pentagon and the Egyptian military [were] already close.”

A Sinister War On our right to hold cash.

An operation that began as a seemingly obscure academic discussion three years ago is now becoming a full-blown propaganda campaign by some of the most powerful institutions in the industrialized world. This is what rightly should be termed the War on Cash. Like the War on Terror, the War on Cancer or the War on Drugs, its true agenda is sinister and opaque. If we are foolish enough to swallow the propaganda for complete elimination of cash in favor of pure digital bank money, we can pretty much kiss our remaining autonomy and privacy goodbye. George Orwell’s 1984 will be here on steroids.

The U.S. Senate is considering a bill that would classify WikiLeaks as a “non-state hostile intelligence service” bundled as part of the 2018 Intelligence Authorization Act. Presumably, that classification would authorize the use of force against WikiLeaks. “It is the sense of Congress that WikiLeaks and the senior leadership of WikiLeaks resemble a non-state hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors and should be treated as such a service by the United States,” a section of the Act reads.

NETANYAHU TO PUTIN: IRAN MUST LEAVE SYRIA OR "WE WILL ACT"

For Netanyahu and other Israeli officials the chief concern was never the black clad death cult which filmed itself beheading Americans and burning people alive. "Let the Sunni evil prevail," they say.

Israel is threatening to escalate military action in Syria against perceived Iranian interests. This week Netanyahu declared, "we will act when necessary according to our red lines" while hinting he prefers ISIS presence in Syria as opposed to Iran aligned fighters at his border. This comes as ISIS is now crumbling, and at a time when most world leaders of nations driving the external proxy war in Syria have toned down their rhetoric regarding the future fate of the Assad government.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Prime Minister Netanyahu, where are you hearing the following?!? ""We cannot forget for a single minute that Iran threatens every day to annihilate Israel."

Are the voices in your head getting louder, perhaps, sir?!?

Because in semi-official Iranian blogs such as presstv.com, and farsnews.com, which I read and to which I link pretty much daily, there is not a word about destroying Israel, but some deep, and intelligent, criticisms of how Israel treats the Palestinians, and particularly Palestinian children.

Where, please, do indefinite detentions, and the routine torture of children, to get them to accuse others in their communities of crimes they did not commit,"fit" in the only alleged democracy in the Middle East, which, by the way, still has no constitution, 69 years after it was founded?!?

Just curious, sir.

You could immediately make peace in a win/win situation by flying to Tehran, and developing a relationship with President Rouhani. And the reality here, sir, is that unlike what one sees in anti-Iranian Israeli propaganda, Jews in Iran are thriving.

Don't Tell Mother I'm In Iran

But of course, you won't, because part of the power Israeli politicians hold over their people is the power of fear; that the others in the region are ready to tear the hearts out of Israeli children, when it is generally Israeli settlers who are illegally claiming Palestinian land; encroaching more deeply in East Jerusalem, and the West Bank, and briskly evicting Palestinians whose families have lived on certain spots for multiple generations.

And we all know that you most likely won't be fighting directly against Iranians in Syria; you have the American troops to do do that for you.

American troops will be in Syria for decades

An independent Kurdistan is being established in sections of Iraq and Kurdistan, in order to balkanize those countries, and control their oil, something Israel is encouraging.

And we all know that you would love to regime change Tehran, but only at the costs of American blood and American money.

So please, don't give us this codswallop about "Iranian aggression", when Israeli aggression against its neighbors and the Palestinians have made it the absolute pariah of the entire Middle East.

How We Know The So-Called “Civil War” Was Not Over Slavery

Paul Craig Roberts

When I read Professor Thomas DiLorenzo’s article ( http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2017/08/21/lincoln-myth-ideological-co... ) the question that lept to mind was, “How come the South is said to have fought for slavery when the North wasn’t fighting against slavery?”

Two days before Lincoln’s inauguration as the 16th President, Congress, consisting only of the Northern states, passed overwhelmingly on March 2, 1861, the Corwin Amendment that gave constitutional protection to slavery. Lincoln endorsed the amendment in his inaugural address, saying “I have no objection to its being made express and irrevocable.”

If the South’s real concern was maintaining slavery, the South would not have turned down the constitutional protection of slavery offered them on a silver platter by Congress and the President. Clearly, for the South also the issue was not slavery.

Moqtada Al-Sadr and Saudi Arabia— The New Allies

After the meeting with Mohamed Bin Salman and other Saudi officials, Al-Sadr’s office stated that there would be a Saudi consulate in Najaf. Although looking at the suggestion superficially the intention seems to be to strengthen the Saudi relations with Iraqi government, there is more to that. It’s not a coincidence that Najaf was chosen. This would give Saudi Arabia the opportunity to crackdown on Shia opposition in the gulf countries while using religious authorities like Al-Sadr on their side. Al-Sadr left to Iraq, and Saudi bulldozers flattened Awamiya, terrorizing people and forcing hundreds to flee.

'A very bad day': Kim Jong-un orders production of more warhead tips as North Korea reveals missile plans

Kim Jong-un, the North Korean dictator, has ordered his scientists to step up production of warheads and solid fuel rocket engines for long-range ballistic missiles.

Requests in recent days from both South Korea and the United States for Pyongyang to halt its provocations and return to the discussion table appear to have fallen on deaf ears after Mr Kim was shown making his demand during a visit to the Chemical Material Institute of the Academy of Defence Sciences.

"He instructed the institute to produce more solid-fuel rocket engines and rocket warhead tips" through the use of carbon compounds, the Korean Central News Agency reported on Wednesday. Pictures show Mr Kim touring the research facility, trailed by uniformed officials assiduously scribbling in notebooks.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF you, as the commander in chief of your country, were looking at the naval juggernaut represented by the US/Japanese/South Korean troops drilling just off the Korean peninsula, wouldn't you, logically, be doing precisely the same thing?!?

Kim appears to be convinced that war is coming; therefore, he is making plans to be able to defend North Korea as well as he possibly can.

The U.S. Military Is Cozying Up to Sudan, of All Countries: A genocidal regime is America's newest possible ally

The United States seems to be working toward courting an unexpected ally in its operations in Africa. On Aug. 9, 2017, Alexander Laskaris — an American diplomat that works for the U.S. military’s Germany-based Africa Command — visited Sudan for a series of meetings with military and diplomatic officials.

The visit comes amid a gradual move toward warmer relations. In March 2016, the Sudanese government reopened the military attache’s office in its U.S. embassy after a 28-year gap. Around the same time, Washington named a military attache for its own embassy Khartoum. And in April 2017, a delegation of Sudanese military officials met with AFRICOM in Stuttgart.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why not cozy up to a genocidal regime, when the US has been raining down genocide in Yemen, along with Saudi Arabia, and supporting the government of Bahrain and the Al Khalifa monarchy, which are torturing and jailing the Shia members of their population for wanting a constitutional monarchy?!?

Hey, if it is anything the Unhinged, Surveilled States of Amerika know how to do , it is how to commit genocide!!

But, I digress. Let's look at a map of Sudan:

Map of Sudan with surrounding countries

This would be a very convenient, centralized place in which the US military might want to build a number of installations, with eyes all of of Sudan's neighbors, which include: Egypt; Libya; Chad; Eritrea; Democratic Republic of Congo; Kenya; and Ethiopia.

But there must be something more than just location; as reported at Wikipedia:

"Petroleum is Sudan's major natural resource. The country also has significant deposits of chromium ore, copper, iron ore, mica, silver, gold, tungsten, and zinc."

I would think that this sudden US "warming" toward Sudan has a two-fold purpose; as a strategic location for US military sites in Africa, and the control of Sudan's oil and mineral capabilities.

Amid outrage, Philippine opposition presses Duterte to stop killings

Political opponents of Philippine leader Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday urged him to end a culture of impunity and quell a surge in drug-related killings, amid widespread anger at police over the death of a teenager.

Allegations of a cover-up in last week's death of Kian Loyd delos Santos has caused rare outrage among a public largely supportive of Duterte's campaign, which saw more than 90 people killed last week in three nights of intensified police operations.

The 17-year-old student was killed in a rundown area of Manila and according to a forensic expert who conducted an autopsy, Delos Santos was shot in the back of the head and ears while on the floor, suggesting there was no gunfight, contrary to an official police report. The victim's family reject police allegations he was a drug courier.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That... was the only reasonable thing President Duterte could have said, under the circumstances.

But when you give police the authority to act with extreme violence, you are giving them the power to act illegally, with impunity, and not serve and protect the community.

Israel to High Court: Law seizing Palestinian land is humane response to 'distress' of thousands of settlers

The state on Monday asked the High Court of Justice to reject legal challenges to a controversial law that would allow for the retroactive expropriation of land owned by Palestinians in West Bank settlements. It called the law “a humane, proportional and reasonable response to the genuine distress of Israeli residents.”

In seeking to persuade the court to reject the legal challenges – filed by Palestinian and Israeli human rights organizations – the state argued that the “practical alternative” to the law is the maintenance of the existing situation, which the state said is disruptive to the lives of “hundreds of families” in settlements, including families who built homes based on representations by government authorities that it was permissible.

The state added that the law is constitutional under Israeli law and also meets the requirements of international law.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The New Trump: War President

Life with Deterrence

In the meantime, the White House needs to calm down and learn to live with mutual deterrence. That conclusion is surprisingly being reached even by some traditional hawks.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Eliot Cohen, a co-founder of the Project for a New American Century, states flatly, “The United States is simply not ready for a war in Korea, even if one were the lesser of two evils. . . . The American military may have the aircraft to hammer North Korean nuclear sites, but it is also fighting in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria, and returning to Europe to bolster deterrence there. . . . This could, in other words, all turn out much worse than even the president’s wary advisers, who know war (though far less ferocious war than this would likely be) may think.”

The Mini-Skirt Deception: How McMaster Got His Afghan ‘Surge’A photo of Soviet era Afghanistan won Trump over

According to reports, Gen. H. R. McMaster convinced President Trump to give up his longstanding opposition to the Afghan war by showing him this photograph, below, of Afghan women in what the media are describing as “miniskirts.” As the Washington Post put it:

“One of the ways McMaster tried to persuade Trump to recommit to the effort was by convincing him that Afghanistan was not a hopeless place. He presented Trump with a black-and-white snapshot from 1972 of Afghan women in miniskirts walking through Kabul, to show him that Western norms had existed there before and could return.”

Haley Demands IAEA Launch New Inspections of Iran Military Sites

Heading to Vienna to meet with officials at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley intends to demand that the agency begin conducting thorough inspections of Iranian military sites, claiming the P5+1 deal gives them authority “to look at any suspicious sites.”

This is likely to be a matter of serious dispute, as before the P5+1 deal was signed, the IAEA had already confirmed all issues surrounding Iran’s military sites were resolved, and the public version of the P5+1 text does not give them any access to random military sites for inspections.

Despite Haley’s claim that the IAEA has such authority, she goes on to accuse Iran of having something to hide, likely because she knows full well Iran isn’t going to comply with these demands, even if the IAEA capitulates and asks for access to the sites.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ambassador Haley has obviously been given her "marching orders" from Tel Aviv, through President Trump, that she has to find some way to destroy that fragile element of trust between Iran and the rest of the signatories of the P5+1, by forcing Iran to walk away from the deal, as a prelude to a US-generated war against it.

Israel demonizes Iran as its "existential enemy" in the Middle East, and wants to see it regime-changed, ASAP (but only, of course, at the costs of American blood and American money).

Should the US wage war against Iran, however, it will most probably be meeting a formidable foe here, and that will be Russia, whose politicians and military have stated, consistently, that should Iran be attacked, Russia will come to its aid militarily.

Right now, the US military does not have the troop strength; the money; the weaponry; or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war against Russia.

I hope to heaven that there are some realists in the Pentagon who understand this, and will warn President Trump against such a potential colossal military misadventure.

US, North Korea Clash at UN Forum Over Nuclear ArmsAmbassador: US Ready to Use 'Full Range of Capabilities' Against North Korea

ensions between the US and North Korea are rising again today, at a UN Conference on Disarmament, as both sides played up the threat posed by the other, and the necessity of preparing a response to the other’s “aggression.”

US Disarmament Ambassador Robert Wood was eager to emphasize the “growing threat” of North Korea, vowing that the US would use “the full range of capabilities” at its disposal to deal with North Korea, which he declared a top priority for the US.

North Korea’s own envoy insisted that their efforts to develop a nuclear deterrence was fully justifiable in the face of “apparent and real threats” from the US, noting that the US had made “constant nuclear threats” against North Korea.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are 8 more days of the Joint US/South Korean/Japanese naval exercises on and around the North Korean peninsula: these drills end on 31 August.

If nothing goes bang/boom, from North Korea (or if there is no false flag created to be blamed against it), I will consider that nothing less than an absolute miracle here.

But I am deeply concerned about there being an attempt to provoke Kim Jung Un to the point where he feels it absolutely necessary to respond, militarily, in order not to lose "face", which is a very important component of Asian politics.

North Korea has demonstrated restraint here, but the question of "for how long?!?" is an open one.

No End in Sight for US War in Afghanistan

Starting with the 2001 invasion, the US war in Afghanistan is now 16 years in: as President Trump pointed out in last night’s speech, the longest war in American history. Even President Trump thought this was excessively long, admitting that “my original instinct was to pull out.”

But the US isn’t pulling out. Instead, President Trump recommitted the US to a new round of escalation with no concrete end conditions, and formally disavowed a “time-based” approach. He added that he doesn’t think the US should publicly announce the dates for ending their “military options.”

The reality behind this rhetoric, though, is that once again any pretense of the Afghan War ending is out the window, and the seemingly endless war again has no end in sight. Trump has laid the ground for reckless new escalations, and in presenting 9/11 and the Iraq withdrawal as justification, is committed to staying.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am profoundly disappointed in President Trump's decision to continue this horrific, wasteful conflict, but apparently, his "president whisperers", Kelly, Mattis, and Mc Masters, have somehow convinced him that this is, in spite of all the blood and money spent, "winnable", 16 years on.

Of course, there is the billion dollar opium poppy trade to be supported by the US military for various US alphabet soup agencies for programs over which Congress has utterly no oversight:

Images: American troops guarding Afghani poppy fields

And there is, of course, that embarrassment of riches from Afghan minerals (if only we could get the Afghanis "pacified enough" to mine them, which will, allegedly pay for the continued US/NATO occupation in this country);

$1 Trillion Trove of Rare Minerals Revealed Under Afghanistan

How in the name of heaven President Trump and Mc Master, Kelly, and Mattis believe they can change the course of this horrific war is absolutely beyond me; I think this coming surge in troop strength had more to do with the fear of not wanting to say we've lost this than a concrete, workable plan to win this war, because history has shown that everything we've done in Afghanistan to date has not worked.

Jury refuses to convict in Bundy ranch standoff

A federal jury in Las Vegas refused Tuesday to convict four defendants who were retried on accusations that they threatened and assaulted federal agents by wielding assault weapons in a 2014 confrontation to stop a cattle roundup near the Nevada ranch of states' rights figure Cliven Bundy.

In a stunning setback to federal prosecutors planning to try the Bundy family patriarch and two adult sons later this year, the jury acquitted Ricky Lovelien and Steven Stewart of all 10 charges, and delivered not-guilty findings on most charges against Scott Drexler and Eric Parker.

More than 30 defendants' supporters in the courtroom broke into applause after Chief U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro ordered Lovelien and Stewart freed immediately and set Wednesday morning hearings to decide if Parker and Drexler should remain jailed pending a government decision whether to seek a third trial.

Webmaster's Commentary:

F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Squadrons Will Encircle North Korea

As many as 100 more F-35 joint strike fighters could be summoned to the Korean Peninsula to support allies in South Korea and Japan against the nuclear and ballistic missile threat posed by North Korea, according to recent media reports.
F-35A jets forming the US Air Force’s 34th Fighter Squadron are slated to deploy to Iwakuni, Japan, and Osan Air Force Base in Pyeongtaek, South Korea, by the end of the year, UPI reports, citing South Korea’s Yonhap News.

The F-35 force operating proximate to South Korean and Japanese airspace is poised to be strengthened by Seoul’s agreement to buy 40 of the multi-role joint strike fighters. The jets are slated for delivery by 2021, the UPI report added.

Japan has already agreed to purchase 42 F-35s from Lockheed Martin.

North Korea Finishes Preparation for Guam Strike - Embassy in Russia

The charge d’affaires of the North Korean embassy in Russia told Sputnik that Pyongyang has finished preparationg for a strike on the US territory of Guam and is ready to carry it out in case of a "provocation."
The US must stop pressuring North Korea, the North Korean embassy's charge d’affaires Jin Jong Hyop said, emphasizing that whether there is a war on the Korean Peninsula depends on Washington.

"As you know, we have completed the preparation of the Guam strike. Everything will depend on whether the United States acts sensibly or not. If they do not do so, they will be shamed yet again on the Korean Peninsula in front of the whole world," Jin Jong Hyop said.

"They must stop blatant provocations and unilateral pressure," Jin Jong Hyop said. "This will determine whether there will be a war on the Korean peninsula or not."

Webmaster's Commentary:

To the COs in charge of these drills; please be aware that Kim Jung Un interprets these navel maneuvers as practice/prelude for an invasion of North Korea

Any miscommunication, any stupid act, could trigger this guy into launching whatever he has, and thousands in Japan and South Korea will most likely die as a result.

HOW GOOGLE IS SECRETLY RECORDING YOU THROUGH YOUR MOBILE, MONITORING MILLIONS OF CONVERSATIONS EVERY DAY AND STORING THE CREEPY AUDIO FILES

DID you know that Google has been recording you without your knowledge?

The technology giant has effectively turned millions of its users' smartphones into listening devices that can capture intimate conversations - even when they aren't in the room.

If you run Android software on your smartphone, Google may have been recording you every day - without you knowing

If you own an Android phone, it's likely that you've used Google's Assistant, which is similar to Apple's Siri.

Google says it only turns on and begins recording when you utter the words "OK Google".

But a Sun investigation has found that the virtual assistant is a little hard of hearing.

It regularly switches on the microphone as you go about your day-to-day activities, none the wiser.

GITMO JUDGE BLOCKS 9/11 DEFENSE ATTORNEYS FROM VIEWING 28 PAGES

A judge presiding over the trial of five Guanta accused of orchestrating the 9/11 attacks has denied a defense motion seeking full access to 28 pages on Saudi government links to the attacks found in the 2002 report of a joint congressional intelligence inquiry.

Though the 28 pages were declassified in July 2016, the public version has 97 redactions amounting to about three cumulative pages of material. Defense attorneys wanted to see what’s still hidden from view.

Attorneys representing the accused 9/11 conspirators argued that evidence of other guilty parties, to include the possible complicity of the government of Saudi Arabia, could be useful to their defense during the guilt or innocence phase of the upcoming trial and, if necessary, during sentencing as well.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder what so terrifies Judge Pohl about releasing this information to the attorneys for the defendants in this case.

THE TALIBAN TRIED TO SURRENDER AND THE U.S. REBUFFED THEM. NOW HERE WE ARE.

DID YOU KNOW that shortly after the U.S. invaded Afghanistan, the Taliban tried to surrender?

For centuries in Afghanistan, when a rival force had come to power, the defeated one would put down their weapons and be integrated into the new power structure — obviously with much less power, or none at all. That’s how you do with neighbors you have to continue to live with. This isn’t a football game, where the teams go to different cities when it’s over. That may be hard for us to remember, because the U.S. hasn’t fought a protracted war on its own soil since the Civil War.

So when the Taliban came to surrender, the U.S. turned them down repeatedly, in a series of arrogant blunders spelled out in Anand Gopal’s investigative treatment of the Afghanistan war, “No Good Men Among the Living.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

In the immortal words of the American comedian Ron White, "You can't fix stupid"; and there was an incredible, monumental amount of stupid going on in the Bush administration, leading to far more blood and money lost in Afghanistan than there had to be.

PENTAGON HIRES BOEING, GRUMMAN FOR NUKE MISSILE PROJECT

The Pentagon has hired Boeing and Northrop Grumman to develop a replacement for the US Air Force’s arsenal of ageing Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) and cruise missiles, amid nuclear tensions with North Korea.

"The Minuteman III is 45 years old. It is time to upgrade," Air Force Chief of Staff General David Goldfein said in a statement on Monday, three days after the deal for the new Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) was inked.

Boeing and Northrop Grumman were awarded $349 million and $328 million respectively to continue the project over the course of the three-year contract.

The Air Force has estimated that the project would cost US taxpayers at least $62 billion. However, the Pentagon's office of Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE) says the costs would surpass $85 billion.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, Lockheed is "disappointed" with this selection?!?

School nurses intimidating and pressuring young girls to get the HPV vaccine jab, even resorting to BULLYING tactics

The campaign group Alliance for Natural Health International (ANHI) recently claimed that schoolgirls who chose to opt out of human papillomavirus vaccination (HPV) were being subjected to pressure and bullying from nurses and school staff.

According to the group, they have been receiving reports about tension between parents and school officials. The international organization also stressed that these types of bullying and intimidation are putting undue stress to children and their families.

Defining Hypocrisy: Democrats Warn Steve Bannon Against Publishing Classified Info On Breitbart

Now this is rich. After nearly 9 months of Democrat operatives leaking every piece of sensitive and/or embarrassing information they could get their hands on to the New York Times and Washington Post, they're now suddenly worried about Steve Bannon doing the same. We guess it's one of those 'do as I say, not as I do" sort of things.

As McClatchy points out, Elijah Cummings, the senior Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, seems to be particularly worried about what Bannon might publish in his renewed role at the helm of Breitbart.

"Steve Bannon has an ongoing obligation to safeguard our nation’s secrets, and he does not gain some kind of extra Constitutional protection just because he is now returning to a position in the media,” said Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., the senior Democrat on the House Oversight Committee.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Absoflippinglutely unbelievable!!

On has to wonder just what has Representative Cummings so terrified about what Bannon could possibly say about anyone in the DNC?!?

Former U.S. Attorney On Awan Indictment: "There Is Something Very Strange Going On Here"

We've written frequently over the past couple of months about the litany of unanswered questions surrounding the mysterious case of Debbie Wasserman Schultz's (DWS) IT staffers. Why did DWS seemingly threaten the chief of the U.S. Capitol Police with “consequences” for holding equipment that was confiscated as part of an ongoing legal investigation? Why did DWS keep Awan on her taxpayer funded payroll all the way up until the day he was arrested by the FBI at Dulles airport while trying to flee the country to Pakistan? What, if anything, does the Awan family know about the DNC hacks that may have caused DWS to act in this way?

Webmaster's Commentary:

I think that a lot of political pressure was brought to bear here, in order to keep the indictment as narrow as humanly, legally possible; because what you have here is an absolute viper's nest of collusion, and potentially a massive lawsuit which could bite most of the elites in the DNC.

The narrowness of the indictment was not set accidentally; this was deliberate, and absolutely smacks of coverup and corruption.
