U.S. INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS NEED OVERHAUL, REQUIRING GOVERNMENT’S COMMITMENT, FUNDING

The future of the U.S. Interstate Highway System is threatened by a persistent and growing backlog of structural and operational deficiencies and by various looming challenges, such as the progress of automated vehicles, developments in electric vehicles, and vulnerabilities due to climate change. Unless a commitment is made to remedy the system’s deficiencies and prepare for these oncoming challenges, there is a real risk that the nation’s interstates will become increasingly unreliable and congested, far more costly to maintain, less safe, incompatible with evolving technology, and vulnerable to the effects of extreme weather, says a new congressionally mandated report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In the state of Hawaii, the costs to keep cars maintained and on the road are an average of $300.00 more than it does on the mainland.

The roads are one set of collapsing asphalt potholes, which are unavoidable in getting from place A to B.

The State ( in its infinite lack of wisdom) signed off on the creation of a Light Rail, the evolution and (at the moment) partial building thereof, is both a financial and logistical nightmare, in which politicians have turned their backs on the voters yet again, and most probably got paid to sign off on the project. As of July of last year, the following headline appeared in the local paper:

Honolulu rail’s price tag now estimated at $8.3 billion, up $100 million

How did the price get so high?!?

The price got this way, because of the County and City of Honolulu allowed contracts to be concluded for bits and pieces of the project, before an actual engineering overview was created, things like the gauge of the tracks, and the amount of weight the rails could support, so replacements had to be ordered. Not having an engineering, top-down approach, which would have answered these questions, and made sure that things were done effectively, has put this project into spinning out of control mode.

So what needs to be done now, which would be a forensic accounting of the funds paid out to everyone at this point; however, the primary contractor, Kewitt, has been been stonewalling on releasing documents for months, so it's anyone's guess as to where the final construction costs will end.

DENOUNCING FOCUS ON VIOLENCE, WOMEN MARCH IN FRANCE TO RECLAIM ANTI-AUSTERITY MESSAGE OF 'YELLOW VEST' MOVEMENT

"Macron your goose is cooked, the chicks are in the street!"

That was the chant by one large contingent of women marching in the French city of Toulouse on Sunday as female-led demonstrations took place across France in order to keep the pressure on President Emmanuel Macron while also pushing back the increasing displays of violence some within the broader "Yellow Vest" (or Gilets Jaunes) movement argue is overshadowing the underlying political message.

"All the media ever reports is the violence, and we are forgetting the root of the problem" which is the fight against austerity, one protester named Karen, a 42-year-old nurse, told Agence France Presse on the streets of Marseilles.

Sunday's demonstrations followed a day of protests on Saturday during which violence broke out in Paris and other cities as those participating in "Act VIII" protests under the Yellow Vest banner clashed with French riot police, erected barricades, and started fires:

Webmaster's Commentary:

From Google, we have the following regarding French elections and politics:

"Formally, France's constitution is parliamentary, like that of other European countries, because the government may be voted out of office by the parliament. ... But the president in these countries does not play a role of political leadership as the French president does. France's constitutional order is, in sum, unique."

I would sincerely like the French Parliament to be thinking about this seriously, if things continue as they are at the moment; the situation with French voters looks like it is going from bad to worse.

‘GLOBAL ZERO’ DOUBLE STANDARD FOR NUCLEAR WEAPONS

In the coming clash between President Trump’s $750 billion defense budget and House Democrats’ desire to cut Pentagon spending, especially on nuclear weapons, there will be tremendous fiscal pressure to shortchange the almost $30 billion annual cost to modernize America’s strategic deterrent. The ideological cover for such penny-wise, pound-foolish cuts is the so-called Global Zero movement to eliminate all nuclear weapons.

But in reality, the global-zero idealists practice a dangerous double standard: They push the US to unilaterally cut its nuclear arsenal even as they ignore or excuse nuclear buildups by Russia, China, North Korea, and (under the table) Iran. Even if they were consistent, their pursue of zero nuclear weapons would still make no sense when none of the nine existing nuclear powers has any interest in completely disarming.

‘DEMENTED PANTOMIME’: UK GOVT STAGE ‘FAKE TRAFFIC JAM’ TO TEST NO-DEAL BREXIT EVENT, TWITTER ERUPTS

The UK government staged a “fake traffic jam” in Kent on Monday morning, with lorries queuing all the way to Dover, to establish the implications of Britain leaving the EU without a deal, leading to ridicule on social media.
In the first significant test for border disruption, the UK Department for Transport’s (DfT) experiment, named ‘Operation Brock’, saw nearly 100 lorries from the disused Manston Airport, in Kent, on a 20-mile journey to Dover – Europe’s busiest roll-on roll-off ferry port – at around 8am, the Evening Standard reports.

The rehearsal has led to journalists and pundits pouring scorn on the exercise. The Independent’s sketch writer, Tom Peck, updated his Twitter followers with a rather comical running commentary on the “fake traffic jam” operation.

Peck claimed that he’d been sent to cover a variety of unusual stories for the paper, but he’d “never been on an assignment anywhere near as stupid as this.” He described the experiment as a “demented pantomime.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF this is not "desperation on the cusp of madness, on the part of the British government, I don't know what is!!!

BEXALERT: Hard to digest: Inmates eat holiday steak during shutdown while prison workers go unpaid

Been there and done that. The BOP has a set menu and the private prisons follow that menu. The grilled steak was most likely fried soy burgers. Never heard of garlic macaroni biscuits. They feed prisoners lots of beans and faux soy meats, very few veggies or fruits, mostly empty carbs. If you are Jewish or Muslim you get to eat kosher or halal, which means you get real meat and fruit and veggies. Never heard of Cornish hens being served, sure never ate one. Chicken wing and thigh day was the best you would get.

According to The Intercept, the first piece of legislation to be rolled out by the 2019 GOP-controlled Senate will give the US government the authority to cut ties with companies that choose to boycott Israel.

9/11: Finally the Truth Comes Out?

Although the United States is allegedly a democracy with a rule of law, it has taken 17 years for public pressure to bring about the first grand jury investigation of 9/11. Based on the work of Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth led by Richard Gage, first responder and pilots organizations, books by David Ray Griffin and others, and eyewitness testimony, the Lawyers’ Committee for 9/11 Inquiry has presented enough hard facts to the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York to force his compliance with the provisions of federal law that require the convening of a federal grand jury to investigate for the first time the attacks of September 11, 2001. (See this)

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Deep State fears for its very existence if the truth about 9-11 comes out to the general public. So there is nothing they will not do to stop it.

DONALD TRUMP SUFFERS SETBACK AS SENATE REJECTS HUNDREDS OF NOMINATIONS

This is Sedition and Treason pure and simple. The Deepstate is in full revolt against the American people,The US Constitution and The Billof Rights! This is getting uglier by the minute.

President Donald Trump has suffered a setback after the Senate knocked hundreds of nominations back to the White House. As the 116th Congress began on Thursday, the Senate sent back over 270 nominations from the previous session, as well as a host of foreign service nominees.

The development is an unexpected and unwanted headache for the Trump administration, which has previously been critical of the perceived lack of speed in approving nominations.

Trump Instructs Pentagon to Curb Watchdogs’ Access to Secret Military Reports

Transparency groups decry move as hindering the work of inspectors general.

President Trump, in a nationally televised Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, instructed acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan to withhold classified battlefield reports from inspectors general, a move that brought objections from transparency advocates.

“I can tell you [a] story when I got here about our military that I don’t even want to talk about,” Trump said. “We do these reports on our military. Some IG goes over there, and he goes over there and they do a report on every single thing. We’re fighting wars and they’re doing [a] report and releasing it to the public. The public means the enemy. Those reports should be private reports.”

The president continued: “Let them do a report, but they should be private reports and be locked up … [Giving the reports] out to the enemy is insane. And I don’t want it to happen anymore, Mr. Secretary. You understand that?”

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder; if these reports were absolutely glowing, in terms the accomplishments of US troops, fighting on the ground in Afghanistan and elsewhere, would President Trump be as agitated as he appeared to be, Wednesday, on this issue?!?

I would suspect... probably not.

DHS RELEASES MORE THAN 2000 IMMIGRANTS CITING LACK OF DETENTION SPACE

The Department of Homeland Security will be releasing over 2000 migrants over the course of the next few weeks after facilities became packed full with border-crossing men, women, and children who seek refuge in the United States.

From Breitbart:

A DHS official confirmed to Breitbart News that the U.S. Border Patrol and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency is releasing more than 2,000 family units caught at the U.S.-Mexico border, citing a lack of detention space.

The border-crossing adults and the children they arrived at the border with will be released and given a court date for an immigration hearing. The adults will be given ankle monitors, though the DHS official says the process of keeping track of border-crossers via ankle monitors is not effective.

According to the report at least four major border crossing locations have been inundated with migrants.

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK, let me get this straight; the DHS, rather than deporting illegal families to their countries of origin, are allowing these illegal immigrants to stay in the US until they have their court date, for which they most probably will never appear?!? And it is known that the ankle monitors can be broken rather easily, or taken off by someone who knows how?!?

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?!?!?

BLOODY EVERYTHING!!

REPORT: USS COLE PLOTTER KILLED IN YEMEN

One of the masterminds behind a deadly attack on a US warship in Yemen more than 18 years ago was killed in that country earlier this week, according to a report published Friday, Anadolu Agency reports.

Jamel Ahmed Mohammed Ali al-Badawi, an al-Qaeda operative, is believed to have played a central role in the Oct. 12, 2000 bombing of the USS Cole in which 17 American sailors were killed.

US intelligence indicates al-Badawi was killed Tuesday in an airstrike in Ma’rib Governorate, CNN reported, citing an anonymous Trump administration official.

The strike took place when al-Badawi was reportedly driving alone. No collateral damage is currently known.

Webmaster's Commentary:

SCIENTISTS “HACK PHOTOSYNTHESIS” TO MAKE PLANTS MORE PRODUCTIVE

Plants are not as productive as they could be, and in a bid to help boost global food production, a team of scientists with backing from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and others are hacking photosynthesis.

If you remember way back to fifth grade when you learned the photosynthesis cycle, plants convert sunlight into energy and use that energy to collect carbon dioxide and water and turn it into sugar. However, there’s a glitch in the system, and plants end up spending a lot of energy getting rid of a toxic compound made when an enzyme called rubisco inadvertently collects oxygen. That process is called photorespiration, and it makes plants produce way less food than they otherwise could.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would like to politely suggest that the researchers, and scientists who came up with this process, and their families, should be forced to eat this biohacked food every day for at least a minimum of 2 years, with medical checks every 4 months, to insure that something in the process doesn't contribute to aggressive cancers, heart disease, diabetes, loss of sperm counts, etc., before they are EVER foisted off on to third world citizens.

I mean, come on, if the process is safe, and there is no harm in ingesting these products, shouldn't it be the developers of such a product who need to test it first?!

BOLSONARO UNVEILS MASS PRIVATIZATION PLAN FOR BRAZIL WHILE SLASHING TAXES FOR RICH AND WAGES FOR POOR

Ending his first week in office by quickly putting into action the far-right agenda he promoted during his campaign, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Thursday unveiled economic proposals that critics says will worsen inequality across Brazil, putting corporate profits above the well-being of middle- and lower-class families.

Privatization of airports and seaports, tax cuts for the rich, pension cuts, and a minimum wage set lower than Bolsonaro's predecessor had planned were among the economic reforms the new president has in store for the country, as it moves toward what the new right-wing government calls a "minimal state."

Before Germany’s Massive Hack, We Learned What Not to Do With Sensitive Stolen Information

Someone has been publishing a massive trove of sensitive personal information—including phone numbers, private chats, family photos, and documents—of dozens of German politicians in what some are calling “the biggest hacker attack” in the country’s history.

On Friday, the leak was the biggest news in Germany, and perhaps in all Europe. German authorities are investigating the incident, and victims are already speaking out about how it’s affecting them.

The leaks first attracted widespread attention in Germany, and subsequently around the world after news outlet RBB first reported on a Twitter account that spread the data. (Twitter has since suspended the account.) The person or people behind it had been posting links to the stolen data since early December, but apparently very few noticed until Thursday, after YouTube celebrity Simon Unge revealed he had been hacked too.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The goals here may have been both hush money, and embarrassment for those whose systems got hacked.

But this action did remind the world to please, never, EVER store something on a computer which could be hacked, as it is very private data, and Keep communication vanilla.

CHINA RELEASES FOOTAGE OF "MOTHER OF ALL BOMBS" DROPPED BY NUKE CAPABLE JET

On Friday China unveiled video from a successful test of its most powerful non-nuclear weapon, dubbed the "Mother of All Bombs" in reference to a weapon previously used by US forces in Afghanistan. The official Xinhua news agency published details of the weapon for the first time while calling it the "Chinese version of the 'Mother of all Bombs'".

It is reportedly 5-6 meters long and its massive weight means the delivery vehicle, in this case China's H-6K long range nuclear capable bomber, can only carry one at a time.

While China has denied that it is a thermobaric bomb — an explosive that uses oxygen in the surrounding air to generate a high-temperature explosion — its incredible size mimics the 22,000-pound GBU-43 Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) bomb that US forces dropped in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province targeting a jihadist hideout tunnel complex in April of 2017.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The timing of this demonstration, right before trade talks are supposed to start next week, was absolutely not accidental; this test was done now, so that people in the American government and military, understand that they have this weapon, and will not be afraid to use it, if the Chinese military sees the timing as right.

Who Runs Our World?

Our world is run by oligarchs, the holders of vast wealth from monopolies in banking, resource extraction, manufacturing, and technology. Oligarchs have such power that most of the world doesn’t even know of their influence over our lives. The oligarchs remain in the background and have heads of state and entire governments acting in their service. Presidents and prime ministers are their puppets. Israel acts at 'military level' amid US sanctions on Iran: Netanyahu

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu says he had “insisted” that the US reimpose sanctions on Iran, adding Tel Aviv complements economic pressures with its own actions "at the military level.”

US President Donald Trump “is acting against Iran at the economic level and we here in Israel are acting against Iran at the military level,” Netanyahu said in an address to Israeli military cadets on Thursday.

By military actions, Netanyahu apparently meant airstrikes against what Israel calls Iranian positions in Syria. Damascus says the attacks are part of Israel's efforts to prop up terrorists in the face of army advances.

Last week, an Israeli intelligence website refuted Tel Aviv's claims that a recent aerial raid in Syria had targeted Iranian military advisers and Hezbollah fighters, saying the attack actually hit Syrian army positions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And here is the one thing which could make this really sticky; it's Russia, Russia's military position in Syria, and Putin's relationship with Syria's al Assad.

One must wonder; what happens when and Israeli and Russian fighter jets start attacking each other?!? Because should this happen, it would involve the US's presence in behalf of Israel, undoubtedly.

I hope that Russia's President Putin and Israel's Prime Minister, Netanyahu, have been having some conversations about preventing such a situation, which could evolve into a world war.

Trump ignoring Tel Aviv’s demands about Syria: Israeli report

US President Donald Trump’s recent statements about Syria have alarmed Israeli officials and intelligence services, according to an Israeli report.

"It’s unfortunate that he isn’t paying attention to the evidence provided by the intelligence services," said an unnamed senior Israeli official speaking to the Israeli Ynet news website on Thursday.

"We are in a state of shock. Trump simply doesn’t understand the extent of the Iranian military's presence in the region."

The statement was made in response to Trump’s earlier remarks, which some Israeli media outlets described as an American “policy change” on Syria.

“Iran is pulling people out of Syria, but they can frankly do whatever they want there,” said Trump

Webmaster's Commentary:

I posit a very different thought here.

Netanyahu is in the political fight of his life, and still unsure if Israel's AG will indict him for corruption.

Netanyahu has dissolved Israel's Parliament, and called for an election to be held on 9 April.

So what I think has happened, is that Israel has given President Trump his "marching orders", which is why the slowdown of the withdrawal of American troops will happen in 90 days, which conveniently dovetails into the time between the moment the Knesset was dismissed, and elections were called on April 9th.

What President Trump has done, has been to give Netanyahu 90 days in which he can do what he wants militarily, in Gaza; Syria; Iran; or Lebanon, so as to look "uber-butch" to the voters come April 9th.

Let's just say that we may well be on the cutting edge of a March/April "Israeli surprise". But if any of these actions come off badly, Netanyahu may well have sealed his fate at the ballot box.

Tijuana: Fed Up & On "On The Brink"

The financial burden on the border city is only one cost. Add in crime, illness, and unsanitary conditions...

As thousands of immigrants gather in Tijuana after a months-long march through poverty-stricken countries to reach the Calexico border, it appears the Guatemalan, Salvadoran, and Honduran wannabe refugees are receiving an unhealthy dose of reality.

Their promised America — mostly advertised as a life replete with bountiful resources, including unending welfare, free child care, and high-paying jobs for the uneducated — refuses to process the entire lot. And as a government scale-back and standoff over border security tediously plods along, legal immigration into the United States is held in perpetual limbo.

What could possibly go wrong?

As Host Cities Go

Webmaster's Commentary:

If you don't want a situation like this to metastasize in the towns and cities where you live, please support President Trump on this issue.

After Asking Hillary To Stay Away, Desperate Democrats Court Two-Time Loser

Instead of offering a sincere mea culpa for her many campaign-era errors, Hillary Clinton has issued a litany excuses for her stunning defeat to President Trump. And though Clinton has continued to weigh in on US affairs - to the consternation of Democrats like comedian Bill Maher, who once said it would be best for the country and the party if she would just "stay in the woods" - with 2020 just around the corner, some of the same Democratic presidential hopefuls who once warned her to keep her distance have apparently found value in consulting one of the least successful candidates in modern US political history and even lobbying for her endorsement.

Axios and CNN reported Friday that Hillary Clinton has been taking meetings with Democrats planning to launch bids for the 2020 nomination as candidates seek to get a jump on what's expected to be a crowded field by securing what CNN described as a crucial endorsement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Nobel Chief Finally Admits He Regrets Giving Obama the Peace Prize

Anyone with half an ounce of brains immediately knew in 2009 that the Nobel Peace Prize committee was making itself look foolish for giving Barack Obama its top award even though he had only been president for about five minutes. Now the group’s former secretary is admitting that the whole thing was a huge mistake.

Nobel’s former secretary, Geir Lundestad, told the media that he thought giving Obama the award would spur him to great accomplishments. Instead, Obama did nothing of note over the next eight years.

Lundestad addressed the foolhardy decision in his recently published autobiography, according to the BBC:

Mr Lundestad, writing in his memoir, Secretary of Peace, said even Mr. Obama himself had been surprised.

“No Nobel Peace Prize ever elicited more attention than the 2009 prize to Barack Obama,” Mr. Lundestad writes.

Webmaster's Commentary:

you are welcome, sir!!

Pelosi taps one of Trump's toughest critics to chair House Intel panel

Newly minted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Thursday evening she has selected Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., to chair the House Intelligence Committee for the next two years.

“Today, it is my privilege to name Congressman Adam Schiff as the Chair of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. His distinguished service on this committee, most recently as Ranking Member for the last four years, will be an essential and urgently needed asset as the Congress honors our oath to secure and defend the Constitution and protect the American people," Pelosi said in a statement.

Schiff was one of President Trump's toughest critics during the Republican leader's first two years in office and will now have the ability to subpoena documents in investigations of President Trump, his campaign, and inner circle. Pelosi said that's part of the reason she tapped him for the job.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This appointment of Adam Schiff to chair the House Intelligence Committee, is a double insurance that Israel will get whatever they ask for, both in money...and the coming wars, which Israel will want the US to initiate in the Middle East on its behalf.

Pompeo Warns Iran Against Launching Rockets Into Space

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo issued a statement preemptively warning Iran against following through on a plan to launch rockets into space, saying that they are required to cease all nuclear-related activities and that the US will not allow them to put international security at risk.

Pompeo further accused Iran of being in defiant of UN Security Council Resolution 2231 related to missiles capable of delivering nuclear weapons, saying that Iran must not launch any rockets into space as a result.

Iranian officials dismissed these allegations, saying that no UN resolution prohibits them from sending vehicles into space. This is not the first time this has been a subject of dispute between the US and Iran on the UNSC 2231.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Secretary of State Pompeo, your amazing ability to lie to get what you want, is well documented.
Pompeo lied to Congress about Yemen to protect arms sales

You accusations against Iran in this area have no merits and are very fact-free. You are making up the argument that if Iran shoots any more rockets into space, the Iranian government should be defined as a "regional aggressor", and that should be the justification for an American strike against it.

And to add insult to injury, the IAEA, at its last round of inspections, declared that Iran was following the letter of the law, and does not possess any nuclear weapons.

And here is what they said in October of 2018:

Benjamin Netanyahu, please go away

The article goes on to state:

The IAEA seems to have had enough of Netanyahu’s mumbo jumbo. IAEA chief Yukiya Amano responded to Netanyahu by saying that the IAEA's work "must always be impartial, factual, and professional.”

Without a single evidence, the mad man from Tel Aviv proceeded to say:

“We cannot allow the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism to possess the planet’s most dangerous weapons. We ask all nations to isolate Iran’s regime as long as its aggression continues. Iran’s leaders sow chaos, death and destruction. Iran’s leaders plunder the nation’s resources to enrich themselves and to spread mayhem across the Middle East and far beyond. The dictatorship used the funds to build nuclear-capable missiles.”[3]

Right now, Netanyahu is in one of the roughest patches in his political career, as it is still uncertain as to whether Israel's Attorney General will indict him for corruption.

He has just dissolved his Parliament, and he is desperate for a distraction, which I believe, President Trump just gave him, in announcing the the Syrian withdrawal process to end in April.

April happens to be the month when snap elections are to be held in Israel; so in essence, President Trump has given him time to do something "amazingly evil" between now and April, perhaps against Iran; perhaps against Lebanon; perhaps against Syria, because he wants to look "butch" to his electorate.

There is no accident here in the timing; we may well be looking for a "March/April "Surprise", generated by Israel, and supported by the US government, again, to keep Netanyahu in office.

In 2018, Israel’s mask finally came off

Having cemented its apartheid nature into law, Israel is creating legislative cover for the act of formally annexing the occupied territories beyond the recognised boundaries of the state.

2018 wasn’t a good year for Israel. It was even worse for Palestinians, of course.

On the surface, it wasn’t an especially dramatic year - just a lot more of the same, without major new wars, and without much bloodshed if you compare it to most previous years. Things appeared frozen in place. The occupation continued without impediment, likewise the settlement enterprise. Gaza tried to resist forcefully from inside its wretched cage, using its paltry and limited powers.

The world averted its eyes from the occupation, as it has customarily done in recent years, and focused on other things entirely.

Republican Lawmaker Reintroduces “Buy a Brick, Build a Wall Act” to Allow Private Contributions to Fund Border Wall

Congressman Warren Davidson (R-OH) reintroduced legislation on Thursday that will direct the Treasury Department to establish a fund allowing private contributions to fund and maintain border walls.

“Buy a Brick, Build a Wall Act” is newly introduced as HR32. “Millions of Americans agree and want to chip in to help secure our borders,” Congressman Davidson said, referring to triple-amputee Brian Kolfage’s fundraising campaign which has raised nearly $19 million with approximately 300,000 donors in under three weeks.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This legislation has a nice ring to it.

But when it comes to borders, and protecting our country from more gangs; more disease; more Americans replaced with cheaper immigrant labor, more welfare, and an educational burden of teaching the kids these illegal immigrants brought with them, this is the Federal Government's job.

TRUMP WALKS BACK SYRIA PULLOUT AS NOOSE TIGHTENS - GOLD GOATS 'N GUNS

If anyone still thinks that Donald Trump has some master plan to kill off his Deep State adversaries they should check themselves into therapy. I know withdrawal is hard, but admitting you have a problem is the first step to curing it.

He doesn’t have a plan. He may fight them but it won’t be with any kind of master plan to trap them in some beautiful bit of political judo.

Frankly, Vladimir Putin he is not.

No, Trump is winging things at this point. While he still has the office he’s trying to do some of the things he promised. Doing that may keep him in power for a few more months.

But with his walking back the timetable for pulling troops out of Syria after a visit from Lindsay Graham (R-MIC/AIPAC) should tell you all you need to know about Trump’s willingness to stand up to the pressure he’s under.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel and his AIPAC sponsors have spoken; they want to make a complete desolation of the Middle East; want to see the war in Syria expand, as well as a war against Iran, to be led by the Americans, (only at the costs of American blood and American money, of course,) which the Russians and Iranians will probably join, on the Syrian side.

I am sickened by this about-face on President Trump's part, but we had to see the handwriting on the wall years ago, in terms of what Israel was up to, and how they think they can maneuver the American president in any direction they feel is beneficial for Israel.

What President Trump needs to realize, is that what may be beneficial to Israel, may not be at all good for We the People, you know, the folks who hired him, thinking that he was at least going to keep his promises.

Unfortunately, as time has unfolded, we have seen him flip-flop on so many issues, that we are getting "intellectual whiplash" at the rapidity of these policy changes.

And with the continued clamoring by the Warmongers for more and more US-sponsored military engagements around the world, I would not bet against the possible return to the draft in this country, perhaps as early this year.

IS THE END OF THE BRUTAL WAR IN YEMEN FINALLY AT HAND?

When the new Congress convenes Jan. 3, it is expected to pass a House resolution upholding congressional war powers and ending all direct U.S. involvement in the Saudi coalition’s war in Yemen. But hopes remain high that H. Con. Res. 138 will help to end the Yemen war itself. Congressional strategists and activists who have been working on the issue believe passage of the war powers measure will force Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the negotiating table.

Proponents of the war powers resolution, sponsored by Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California, argue the Saudis will not be able to continue the war without the political-diplomatic support of the United States, and the Yemen resolution will make dramatically clear the Saudis can no longer count on U.S. support.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is more than a bit of naivete on the part of these Congressional Representatives, thinking this resolution will kill the war in Yemen.

The Butcher of Yemen is not likely to sit down and negotiate with anyone at this point; and he doesn't give a damn about the Yemeni people killed and crippled for life, nor does he care about the lives lost in the Saudi military; they are simply "a means to an end"

While I wish them luck, because many thinking Americans, including me, do not wish to see the American military aid and abet Saudi war crimes in Yemen, I don't think that this legislation will be signed by President Trump, and that he will veto it, on the grounds that wars like the war in Yemen, "are good for the weaponry business", which it is.

But at what point do these war crimes tear away at the fabric of decency and justice, in this country?!?

This is a war upon which the American people need an open, honest discussion of how the US military got committed into this mess, and the quickest way out of it.

CHINA PARADES "RE-EDUCATED" UIGHUR MUSLIMS ON STATE TV TO EXTOL PRISON CAMPS

When previously last year the United Nations began scrutinizing claims that China has interned one million of its ethnic Uighur Muslim in "re-education" camps, Beijing stridently denied such charges, but now months after Western media and human rights groups have carefully documented a network of Uighur prisons, some by satellite photos, China is attempting to shift the narrative to one of a positive "de-radicalization" program. Beijing now not only fully owns up to its system of forced labor camps, but as a Times (UK) report finds, is even parading groups of Muslims on state TV to extol the virtues of the system.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I really think that someone ought to whisper in Chinese President Xi Jinping's ear, that the novel "1984" was a wake-up call and cautionary tale: not a "how to" Manual!!!!

AIPAC TAKES NEWLY ELECTED CONGRESS MEMBERS, CNN’S SETMAYER ON PROPAGANDA TRIPS TO ISRAEL

Newly elected Congressional Reps David Trone, Dan Crenshaw, Elaine Goodman Luria, Tim Burchett, Denver Riggleman, and Susie Lee on a December 2018 AIPAC trip to Israel. AIPAC’s educational arm spends about $10,000 a piece on these trips. By using a nonprofit entity, the Israel lobby gets around a U.S. law intended to prohibit Congressional junkets funded by lobbying groups.

January 03, 2019 "Information Clearing House" - The Israel lobby has been busy taking a wide variety of government officials and opinion makers on fully expense paid trips to Israel this month. The trips cost in the range of $10,000 per person.

Six newly elected House members are on a 5-day visit to Israel, a delegation of northern California “progressive leaders” are on a week-long trip, media commentator Tara Setmayer has just returned from such a trip, and a delegation of southern California progressive leaders returned from their trip earlier this month.

Webmaster's Commentary:

AIPAC should have to register as a representative of a foreign entity, and these trips to Israel need to stop.

And CAIR, ( Council on American-Islamic Relations) where the heck are your trips to Palestine, which I would want to see as a balance to everything these legislators and VIPs have heard, and seen, courtesy of their Israeli mentors?!?

You're welcome, CAIR.

WATCH: GOOD COP HONORS OATH TO CONSTITUTION, STOPS BAD COP WHO'S TASING A MAN FOR HIS FREE SPEECH

Freedom of speech, in the land of the free, is not guaranteed. Despite the wording of the First Amendment, claiming that “Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech,” there are countless laws across the country designed to do exactly that. However, even when there aren’t archaic anti-speech laws on the books, police will all too often deprive people of their freedom — for practicing their freedom.

Because police attack people for their freedom of speech, the taxpayers are often held to the fire to pay for the violation. Such is the case out of Commerce City in which Joshua Condiotti-Wade just received $175,000 — for holding a sign that said “F**k bad cops” — and getting assaulted for it.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Although I (generally ) do not use foul language, in talking with people, I can understand that some people, who have reached their limit of patience, do, and the right to do that is protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution.

PAUL CRAIG ROBERTS: WHEN GUNS ARE OUTLAWED ONLY OUTLAWS WILL HAVE GUNS

Those who want to ban guns use deceptive and dishonest terms such as “gun violence,” an illiterate use of language. Guns are inantimate objects like a hammer or a screwdriver. They are not capable of taking action such as commiting violence. They have to be used or misused by people intent on commiting violence. Therefore, there can be no such thing as “gun violence.” There can only be violence committed by people using guns or hammers or screwdrivers, or whatever.

Murders committed by assailants using handguns comprise a tiny 0.0056% of violent crimes. What explains the fixation on such a small problem?

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am a Christian pacifist activist, which means that I never can, or will, condone violence of any kind.

However, that being said, the agenda here is clear; it is to disarm all thinking Americans so that the assault on our liberties and freedoms can continue, unabated, and with no recourse whatsoever for what has been done, and is being done, to the American people post 9/11, with the Congressional passing of the draconian laws, the Patriot Act,and the National Defense Authorization Act.

DEPARTED INTERIOR SEC. ZINKE UNDER INVESTIGATION BY DOJ

The Justice Department has not yet decided whether Zinke should face legal action, the Post reports. Zinke, who left the agency Wednesday following a series of high-profile scandals, denied the allegations to the Associated Press, blaming conservation groups for creating a "playbook" designed to use "frivolous allegations, sources, rumors, innuendo and false accusations" to boot him and other Cabinet members from office.

As reported by The Washington Post:

"Zinke, who submitted his resignation last month, had faced intense pressure to step down because of the probes into his conduct, though President Trump had soured on him for other reasons, too, according to one of the people familiar with the matter. In particular, this person said, Trump was upset Zinke would not challenge Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) in last year's election and over how Zinke handled the administration's plan to expand offshore drilling.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are moments, looking at President Trump's choices for various areas of governmental oversight, when I have this industrial -strength, Jon-Luke Picard facepalm moment at warp speed; and trust me, folks, his choosing Zinke for oversight of this agency, is just such a moment.

CANADA CHARITY USED DONATIONS TO FUND ISRAEL ARMY BASES

A Canadian charity has been investigated for using its donations to fund infrastructure projects on Israeli army and naval bases.

The Jewish National Fund of Canada – an affiliate of parent organisation Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael or the Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) – used its donations to fund infrastructure projects on Israeli army, air and naval bases, in contravention of Canadian law.

The revelation came as JNF Canada was subjected to an audit by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), a federal agency that administers tax laws for the Canadian government, after a Canadian researcher filed a complaint about the charity’s spending. According to local news site CBC:

While no law bars a Canadian citizen from writing a cheque directly to Israel’s Ministry of Defence, rules do ban tax-exempt charities from issuing tax receipts for such donations, and also ban donors from claiming tax deductions for them.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Good; this agency's flouting Canadian law, and getting caught at it, may well discourage further contributions to the Israeli military by other organisations.

FORMER SUPERINTENDENT; AUDITORS CALL FOR FRAUD INVESTIGATION

Scandal-plagued Montebello Unified School District made a nearly $800,000 payout to its former superintendent in 2017, documents show, but the district won’t explain why.

In response to a request for records documenting the wages paid to its employees for the 2017 year, Montebello Unified provided a report that indicated the school paid $782,073 to former superintendent Susanna Contreras Smith.

That amount would make Ms. Contreras Smith by far the highest paid K-12 employee statewide, according to a survey of nearly 700,000 employee pay records posted on TransparentCalifornia.com.

But even stranger than the size of the payment is the timing. A Los Angeles Times report states that Ms. Contreras Smith was fired in November 2016, and filed what would ultimately be a successful whistleblower lawsuit against the district in July 2017.

So why did the school make such a large payout to someone who was no longer on the payroll?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Whatever the reason, this stinks to high heaven, and deserves a thorough, forensic audit to figure out the reason why this was done.

While most Americans thought they wouldn't be affected by the partial government shutdown, anyone with a federal tax refund coming to them will have to wait until the stalemate is over, according to the Wall Street Journal.

While most Americans thought they wouldn't be affected by the partial government shutdown, anyone with a federal tax refund coming to them will have to wait until the stalemate is over, according to the Wall Street Journal.

During a shutdown, the IRS can continue activities that protect government property, and the agency may bring in more workers soon to prepare for the income-tax filing season. Even during a shutdown, the agency still processes some tax returns that include payments, keeps computer systems running and continues criminal investigations. But the IRS generally doesn’t conduct audits, respond to taxpayer questions outside the filing season or—brace yourself—pay refunds.

A shutdown that gets resolved within a few weeks would have little ultimate effect on taxpayers, but lawmakers have made little or no movement toward a deal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This timing is particularly grating for those who planned to used their refund money for a specific need; but the real problem, which will cause the excrement to hit the ventilation shaft, is when the money runs out for the national food stamp program.

Trump Is A Pied Piper For The New World Order Agenda

The Fed deliberately created the "Everything Bubble" so that it could be deliberately imploded at the proper time - in other words, the crash we have been witnessing so far during the final quarter of 2018 and continuing into 2019 is a controlled demolition of the economy. Jerome Powell is not some "rebel" going against the easy money dictates of the Fed. Jerome Powell is playing the role that has been given to him. Ben Bernanke and Janet Yellen's job was to inflate the bubble. Jerome Powell's job is to crash the bubble. -- This is a tactic used by the Fed and the globalists that run it for over 100 years - conjure a debt bubble, deflate the debt bubble, cause a crisis, siphon up hard assets for pennies on the dollar, use the panic to gain more power and centralization, introduce new control measures while everyone is distracted, rinse, repeat.

U.S. Border Agents Use Tear Gas Against “Rock-Throwing” Migrants

Some United States border patrol agents have used tear gas on migrants who were reportedly throwing rocks in Tijuana, just south of San Diego. However, some witnesses say the gassing of those on the southern border was unwarranted.

The authorities say they repelled an attack by “violent” rock-throwers by using tear gas, according to a report by RT. In footage provided by Reuters, a man is seen picking up and throwing a tear gas canister back over the barrier while a group of Spanish-speaking migrants cheers and whoops loudly. As the cloud drifts closer to those gathered, migrants can be seen covering their faces and fleeing, with some choking on the fumes.

The incident took place on New Year’s Eve, with migrants telling Reuters that they expected security to be lax during the first night of 2019 due to celebrations.

The Mediterranean Pipeline Wars Are Heating Up

Things have been quite active in the Eastern Mediterranean lately, with Israel, Cyprus and Greece pushing forward for the realization of the EastMed pipeline, a new gas conduit destined to diversify Europe’s natural gas sources and find a long-term reliable market outlet for all the recent Mediterranean gas discoveries. The three sides have reached an agreement in late November (roughly a year after signing the MoU) to lay the pipeline, the estimated cost of which hovers around $7 billion (roughly the same as rival TurkStream’s construction cost). Yet behind the brave facade, it is still very early to talk about EastMed as a viable and profitable project as it faces an uphill battle with traditionally difficult Levantine geopolitics, as well as field geology.

Webmaster's Commentary:

At the moment, until an alternative energy source which is cheap, and easily created comes about, the control of world's pipelines means control of the world's economy, and for which international currency that oil will be sold.

The US is losing this marketplace, and particularly in light of the fact that a number of countries are not using the US dollar as their medium of exchange, as witnessed by the following article:

De-dollarization spreads; why these 5 nations are backing away from the buck.

The article goes on to state:

"The past year was full of events that inevitably split the global geopolitical space into two camps: those who still support using US currency as a universal financial tool, and those who are turning their back on the greenback.

Global tensions caused by economic sanctions and trade conflicts triggered by Washington have forced targeted countries to take a fresh look at alternative payment systems currently dominated by the US dollar.

RT has taken a deeper look into the recent phenomena of de-dollarization, summing up which countries have taken steps towards eliminating their reliance on the greenback, and the reasons behind their decision."

You will also see, in most of the countries described, that US sanctions have been placed against them; and these sanctions are not creating the financial environment the Trump Administration had believed they would, which were intended to create economic capitulation by these countries to the US government's will, , but in fact, they have created the polar opposite from what the the Trump administration hoped to accomplish here.

This financial contagion will continue apace, unless the US government changes its attitude about how and why to use sanctions. particularly when it comes to punishing a country for something that country absolutely didn't do, as in the completely false claim that Russia "Had annexed Crimea", for which it has been sanctioned extensively.

Unfortunately, this particularly obdurate Administration is apt to grasp this...after it is far too late to do anything constructive about it, and see the effects in the financial world, where the US dollar is simply ignored as though it had the plague.

Russia Charges US Citizen With Espionage

After he was purportedly arrested while "carrying out an act of espionage", Russia has formally indicted US citizen Paul Whelan, a 48-year-old US Marine and security contractor, for being a spy, according to a report in Russian news agency Interfax being cited by US media.

Whelan was arrested by Russia’s security services Dec. 28 while in Moscow on a personal trip. Whelan's Russian lawyer Vladimir Zherebenkov, who was appointed to represent him, said earlier Thursday that the American will remain in custody in Moscow until the end of February.

"Secret" Evidence Vindicates Michael Flynn's "Treasonous" Dinner With Putin

Over the last month we have learned much more about the circumstances surrounding the departure of former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Flynn pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI about a conversation with then-Russian ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak; one on December 29, 2016 in which Flynn urged the Russians to "refrain from escalating the situation in response to sanctions that the US had imposed against Russia," and another conversation in which Kislyak told Flynn that Russia had decided to moderate its response following the request.

Nothing earth shattering, illegal, or collusive in the "witch hunt" sense - but Flynn was not forthcoming with the Justice Department, or Vice President Mike Pence. He was fired from his post and subsequently pleaded guilty in December 2017 to making false statements to the FBI.

US Issues China Travel Advisory: Warns Of "Arbitrary Enforcement Of Local Laws"

Confirming what until now was merely hearsay, when three weeks ago Reuters reported that the State Department was considering a travel advisory for China following the arrest of the Huawei CFO, moments ago the State Department officially issued a travel advisory to US citizens traveling to China, warning to "exercise increased caution in China due to arbitrary enforcement of local laws as well as special restrictions on dual U.S.-Chinese nationals."

According to the advisory, "Chinese authorities have asserted broad authority to prohibit U.S. citizens from leaving China by using ‘exit bans,’ sometimes keeping U.S. citizens in China for years." It also notes that "in most cases, U.S. citizens only become aware of the exit ban when they attempt to depart China, and there is no method to find out how long the ban may continue. U.S. citizens under exit bans have been harassed and threatened."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but did President Trump not characterise the trade negotiations between the US and China as "going well", in the last couple of days?!?

Trump at the cabinet meeting sounded upbeat about negotiations to reach a trade deal with China, saying they "are coming along very well, we'll see what happens."

The United States and China are about one month into a 90-day pause in implementing higher U.S. tariffs and other measures in a trade war that dominated much of 2018, as they work on reaching a deal.

This certainly doesn't appear to be the case, as evidenced by this travel advisory.

The European Union: An Authoritarian Body With A Humanitarian Face

What the Lisbon Treaty actually created was an authoritarian political system that infringes on human and political rights.

Article 4 states in part: "...The Member States shall facilitate the achievement of the Union's tasks and refrain from any measure which could jeopardise the attainment of the Union's objectives." In other words, the interests of the Union are above the interests of individual states and citizens.

In a democratic system with a healthy balance of power, a ruling coalition can be challenged or replaced by the opposition. This is precisely what is lacking in the EU, as the Treaty of Lisbon requires that European Commission members be selected on the basis of their "European commitment." This means, in effect, that anyone with a dissenting view may never become a member of the Commission. As history repeatedly demonstrates, where there is no opposition, freedom is lost.

Trump Trashes Mattis, Says "I Think I Could Have Been A Good General"

In his first Cabinet meeting of the new year, President Trump went off-script with reporters, slamming recently-departed Defense Secretary Jim "mad dog" Mattis, claiming he "essentially fired" the four-star general, who abruptly resigned last month.

Trashing Mattis' management of the Afghanistan war, Trump reminded reporters that Mattis had personally thanked him for helping secure $716 billion for national security in the current fiscal year. But then he quickly rebuked:

"What’s he done for me?” Trump said.

“How had he done in Afghanistan? Not too good.”

Adding that:

"I think I would have been a good general...but who knows.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is one of the most utterly tasteless, ill-conceived statements this President has ever uttered, and as we all know, is far from his first, consistently, and nearly pathologically, taking potshots at fired executives within his government.

So Mr. President, some words of wisdom; it would good for our country, at this point, if you could, please, try to contain your hubris, coupled with your outrage against people you recommended for serious high-level positions in the administration, then fired, somewhere other that twitter, or public events or addresses.

CIA-MANAGED FORCES IN AFGHANISTAN ARE REPORTEDLY CONDUCTING 'TORTURE AND KILLINGS WITH NEAR IMPUNITY'

Afghan strike forces overseen by the CIA are operating with little care for preventing civilian casualties, a lengthy New York Times report details Monday, and their brutality has fostered local populations' sympathy for the Taliban.

The CIA-managed teams work "unconstrained by battlefield rules designed to protect civilians, conducting night raids, torture and killings with near impunity," the Times reports, citing Afghan and American officials. "Those abuses are actively pushing people toward the Taliban, the officials say," and as the U.S. military footprint in the country has declined from its 2011 peak of about 100,000, these "strike forces are increasingly the way that a large number of rural Afghans experience the American presence." Unconfirmed reports suggest some raids may even include American operatives.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to read this with absolute disgust, contempt, and a really nasty feeling in one's gut, that were war crimes were a competitive sport, the US would be close to winning "the gold", as the country which has committed so many war crimes that it has lost count..if count was ever kept.

And I have to speculate; is this behaviour on the part of the CIA-backed troops actually intended and engineered to make this 18 year old war run longer, so that the various "Alphabet Soup" agencies, which make millions running the poppy trade, creating very strong, cheap, heroin, for "off-shelf operations", won't lose their source of income?!?

Were I a betting woman, I would not bet against it. And no, the photos below haven't been photoshopped:

XI JINPING SAYS TAIWAN "MUST AND WILL BE" REUNITED WITH CHINA

Chinese President Xi Jinping has urged the people of Taiwan to accept it "must and will be" reunited with China.

In a speech marking 40 years since the start of improving ties, he reiterated Beijing's call for peaceful unification on a one-country-two-systems basis.

However, he also warned that China reserved the right to use force.

While Taiwan is self-governed and de facto independent, it has never formally declared independence from the mainland.

Beijing considers the island to be a breakaway province and Mr Xi's comments are in line with China's long-standing policy towards reunification.

But on Wednesday, Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen said the island would never accept reunification with China under the terms offered by Beijing.

"I want to reiterate that Taiwan will never accept 'one country, two systems'. The vast majority of Taiwanese public opinion also resolutely opposes 'one country, two systems', and this is also the 'Taiwan consensus'."

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF President Trump wants a better relationship with China, he seriously needs to rethink US policy on Taiwan. As reported at www.diplomat.com in September of last year: Where will the US/Taiwan relations under Trump End up?

This article offers a very thoughtful observation of the issue: "Over the past few years, the rise of Chinese capabilities and Beijing’s growing willingness to exert pressure on Taiwan and Washington has intensified a broader debate across administrations about the strategic importance of U.S.-Taiwan relations. Though more nuanced, that debate is often caricatured as being between those who recognize Taipei as a key partner to engage either on its own terms or as part of a wider strategy with allies and partners directed against China, and those who see Taiwan as just a challenge to manage within the much-prized China relationship."

WATCH: DISABLED VETERAN RIPPED FROM WHEELCHAIR, PEPPER SPRAYED FOR QUESTIONING WALMART ID POLICY

An infuriating video was uploaded to social media this week showing multiple police officers attack a disabled veteran in a Walmart. The veteran was pulled from his wheelchair, thrown to the floor and pepper sprayed after asking for the store’s policy on showing identification to purchase alcohol.

The victim, 36-year-old Jason Williams was attempting to purchase champagne for New Year’s Eve at the Muskogee Walmart when employees asked to see his identification as well as the identification of his family members who were with him. Because his family members were not purchasing anything at all, Williams asked to see the policy that required family members to produce identification.

“Instead of being greeted with the policy, I was greeted with six of Muskogee’s not so finest,” Williams said.

Police tell a different story and claim that Williams caused a disturbance after he was asked for his identification.

Outbreak Alert: Hepatitis A Spreads Through Homeless Population In Oregon: Mac Slavo

Oregon health officials are currently concerned about a Hepatitis A outbreak working its way through the homeless population in the state. The exploding homeless population in more liberal and socialist areas are seeing a major rise in outbreaks of Hepatitis A, as California is already experiencing.

The state of Oregon’s health workers have been shifting their focus and working to redirect hepatitis A prevention strategies toward homeless populations following a shift in how outbreaks of the disease occur, according to a report by the Bend Bulletin. Homeless populations are now the most vulnerable to contracting the Hepatitis A viral infection.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is only a matter of time before this will seep from the homeless community into the rest of the general public here.

I have to wonder if the State has put this on the front burner, in terms of protecting both the homeless and their working population, by having Oregonians vaccinated. As stated at google.com:

"The hepatitis A vaccine does not cause hepatitis because it does not contain the live virus. It contains inactivated hepatitis A virus. The vaccine works by stimulating the body to produce antibodies, which are proteins that will fight and kill the virus and prevent hepatitis A infection."

John Cleese: Political Correctness Can Lead to an Orwellian Nightmare

The essence of comedy is being critical, says Cleese, and that means causing offense sometimes. But we shouldn't protect everyone from experiencing negative emotions by enforcing political correctness, he says.

Transcript:
I'm offended every day. For example, the British newspapers every day offend me with their laziness, their nastiness and they're in accuracy, but I'm not going to expect someone to stop that happening I just simply speak out about it.

Fake News & Feminism - MGTOW

I'm going to take this opportunity to discuss what happened a while back when Hilary Clinton made the following statements about the so called fake news. I'm sure everyone has heard the argument from the mainstream media by now that mainstream news outlets called the presidential election for Hilary Clinton and were probably hoping that if they said it enough times then this would provide enough social proof for voters to go out there and vote for Hilary. By the way her presidential campaign cost over one billion dollars. When she lost she was throwing furniture around the room on election and getting violent with people. But when she finally calmed down she brought up the issue of fake news at a speech for Harry Reid's retirement party mentioning that the US government and Silicon Valley were going to team up and start to punish fake news sites.

Top 10 FAKE NEWS liberal media stories of 2018 designed to keep the “sheeple” brainwashed and voting for more Democratic-Socialistic-Communistic abuse

Mainstream news is fake news, through and through. Nearly every story is twisted or straight up made up and fabricated out of thin air, all to support diabolical narratives that keep their clones highly emotional, frustrated, and distracted from anything and everything that really matters in this world. -- Even when the major networks, newspapers and websites get caught red-handed fabricating stories, embellishing, and horribly exaggerating, they never admit it, apologize, or outright walk-it-back. All they do is publish some tiny blurb in some obscure spot about a “misprint,” or they simply just claim their source may have misinterpreted something somehow somewhere (imagine that). The total tell-tale sign of fake news rears its ugly head anytime they claim that the source or sources are “anonymous.”

Break the Cycle: In 2019, Say No to the Government’s Cruelty, Brutality and Abuse

As long as we continue to allow callousness, cruelty, meanness, immorality, ignorance, hatred, intolerance, racism, militarism, materialism, meanness and injustice—magnified by an echo chamber of nasty tweets and government-sanctioned brutality—to trump justice, fairness and equality, there can be no hope of prevailing against the police state.

Missouri : Hero with Gun Saves Police Officer, Receives Award

The major media loves to trumpet examples of black men shot by police. When there is an example of armed black men saving a policeman, with a gun, when the Police Chiefs' Association gives our fellow man an award for it, there is little coverage.

Mark Zuckerberg’s 2019 Resolution: More Political Censorship on Facebook

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg promised to better prevent “election interference” and “the spread of hate speech” — neglecting to define either term — in a blog posted on his company’s platform.
Zuckerberg repeated his previous calls to suppress “sensationalism and misinformation” and to “remove content related to terrorism,” terms he did not define. He also committed to promoting “news from trusted sources,” which he did not list.

“We’ve partnered with fact-checkers in countries around the world to identify misinformation and reduce its distribution,” wrote Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg promised to better prevent “election interference” and “the spread of hate speech” — neglecting to define either term — in a blog posted on his company’s platform.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Facebook has simply devolved into the 4th Estate: Now we have the Executive , Congressional, Judicial, and Surveillance/Monitoring/Deplatforming branches of government: Zuckerberg, of course, is riding herd on that last element of the Unhinged, Surveilled, State of Amerika in 2019.

Powerful U.S. forces work against pullout of troops from Syria

President Donald Trump’s announcement on Dec. 20 that his administration would quickly pull some 2,000 troops from Syria and 7,000 of the 14,000 in Afghanistan seemed to have caught many high-ranking U.S. as well and U.S. allies around the globe off guard.

It is unclear, however, to what extent the pullout will be able to be implemented. Trump is under a lot of pressure from even his supporters to back off or slow down the plan.

This often happens throughout history, when the core beliefs of a country promulgated by elites are challenged — and in the case of the U.S., it is both Republican and Democratic elites. The dismay at the retirement of Secretary of Defense James Mattis indicates the many battles ahead for a rebalancing of U.S. foreign policy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The writer of this op-ed misses one very critical fact; the "winner" from this draw-down of US forces in Syria, is Israel's Benyamin Netanyahu, now fighting for his political life because he is on the keening edge of potentially being indicted for corruption by Israel's Attorney General.

Netanyahu has recently dissolved the Knesset, and set the date of 9 April for the next round of elections.

As now both Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, he can now wreak whatever havoc he wants in Syria (or Lebanon, or Iran), for these next 4 months until the election, with US collusion and cooperation from the commanders and their troops still on the ground.

And I would like to politely mention to the writer of this op-ed, that there will be utterly zero "rebalancing' of US Foreign Policy, particularly in the Middle East, as long as Trump is outsourcing his Middle East Policy to Prime Minister Netanyahu.

There are moments where there are goals to be achieved with which we should be aligned with Israel; but a regional war against Syria, Iran, and Lebanon, (with Russia most likely to take the side of these countries)at the enormous costs, which Tel Aviv fully expects to be expended in American blood, and American money?!?

So President Trump, I feel the need to strongly caution you, that the use of US troops, fighting and dying for what can only be characterized as a wretchedly apartheid, rogue theocracy with nuclear weapons, is not the highest and best use of US troops right now.

And at its point in its history, the US military doesn't have the weaponry; the troop strength; the money, or the manufacturing to insure a victory in this kind of war.

you are welcome, President Trump

CIA’s Afghan Forces Terrorize the Public, Undermine Trust

7 years into the US war in Afghanistan, various administrations have tried myriad different strategies to try to win the war, many of them involving recruiting local groups. While the Pentagon’s various allies have had well-documented problems, they’re nothing compared to the CIA.

Clandestine and playing fast and loose with the rules, the CIA’s own Afghan forces, various bands of local gunmen with some nominal training, have missions to do, and very little in the way of rules of engagement.

Being told to “search for militants” is all but blanket permission to raid and loot random homes. One survivor of such a raid describes the fighters taking him away for questioning. After they took him, they killed his two brothers and sister-in-law, then burned the house to the ground, killing his 3-year-old daughter.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I really hate being a citizen of a country which perpetually commits war crimes; reading this story this morning, made me just ill.

And remember; this horrific, nearly 18 years-on war, is not being fought "to defend the American way of life", or honor, or glory; it is being perpetuated so that ultimately, a US-compliant Afghani government will make sure that the pipelines can be leased by the appropriate corporations; make sure that only US-centric corporations can extract Afghanistan's rare earth minerals; and that rights to harvest and distribute opium poppies are done only with US-friendly resources, and that the transactions for all this are conducted with US dollars only.

When Karl Marx made the observation that "All wars are economic" in nature, he was dead spot on; unfortunately, in US history classes, the financial components leading to wars, are seldom legitimately recognised.

Trump Slows Syria Pullout: Military Given Four Months to Withdraw

Reports that President Trump is slowing America’s withdrawal from Syria were confirmed today in a series of Tweets, during which Trump confirmed that the US was “slowly sending our troops back home.”

Though there was never an official timetable for the withdrawal, early reports suggested that the 2,000 US troops believed to be in Syria could be out within 30 days. Now, President Trump is said to be giving the Pentagon four entire months.

In the meantime, the troops are going to be engaged in continued combat with ISIS, and US airstrikes will also continue. President Trump made reference to “ISIS remnants” in his comments.

This presence of remnants has been fueling a lot of the calls among hawkish politicians to just stay in Syria forever, on the grounds that if even a few remain, they’ll quickly regrow into a large organization. Several groups are expected to continue fighting ISIS after the US leaves.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looks as though Turkey's impending invasion of Syria is on hold, pending the US drawdown.

But let's look at the real reason for the timing here, shall we?!? It appears that President Trump, unfortunately, as usual, has been given his "marching orders" from Tel Aviv.

Please remember: Israel's Netanyahu, is reeling on the ropes for the fight of his political life, if Israel's attorney general indicts him for corruption, (for which, BTW, Israel's AG is getting threatened, and his father's tomb was recently desecrated Israel's Attorney General had Father's tomb desecrated)

The Israeli Knesset has been dissolved, and elections are scheduled for 9 April of this year. And at the moment, until those elections take place, Netanyahu has also taken the job of minister of defence, as in November of last year. Israeli Prime Minister takes over Defense Ministry

Trump's " new and improved, Israel-compliant" pullout schedule in Syria actually gives Netanyahu, who now is both Prime Minister, and Defense Minister, a clear shot of creating major mayhem against Syria, Gaza, and Iran, coordinated with the White House, and US Pentagon, with utterly no oversight from Israel's Parliament, because it is now dissolved.

Were I an Israeli citizen right now, looking at this scenario, even appreciating what military weaponry and might are possessed by Israel's IDF, you would have to color me very nervous indeed.

Animals are at their most vicious when cornered, and wounded; so it is also for politically wounded heads of state.

Union Scum: Seasonal UPS Workers Had Paychecks Taken By Local Teamsters Chapter In Boston

Some seasonal UPS workers in the Boston area worked over 40 hours a week during the holidays, and received less that $15 total in their paychecks. It may sound like sweat shop labor. It isn’t. The local Teamsters chapter in the area virtually gobbled up every season worker’s paycheck…because that’s what happens when you join a union. They’re scum. Sheila O’Malley of Charlestown told CBS Boston that she worked 41 hours one week, many of it during the nights, and only received $14.52 in total pay. She agreed to pay the Teamsters $500 initiation fee in $32.00/week payments, but she was later told that this policy had been rescinded. Now, she and others have been sent scrambling financially, as the union sucked all of their hard earned money from their paychecks. The National Labor Relations Board is now investigating the local Teamsters chapter over their labor practices (via CBS Boston)

Webmaster's Commentary:

These are the kinds of brutal financial practices which get unions in trouble in this country, which, in fact, they should be, if they are shaking down their members.

And rescinding a policy which let members pay over time?!?

That is pure immoral ugly, thank you very much!!

How convenient is THAT timing for the Union?!?

LEAKED DOCUMENTS REVEAL FACEBOOK'S BIASED, CONVOLUTED CENSORSHIP POLICIES

Facebook's thousands of moderators have been relying on outdated, inaccurate and biased "maze of PowerPoint slides" to police global political speech, according to a trove of 1,400 internal documents obtained by the New York Times.

Moderators say they often rely on Google Translate to read posts, while facing pressure to make decisions on acceptable content within a matter of seconds, according to the report.

The guidelines - which are reportedly reviewed every other Tuesday morning by "several dozen Facebook employees who gather over breakfast," are filled with "numerous gaps, baises and outright errors," according to the Times.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Well.... that explains much!!

HIGHER ED USA

College administrator orders a police officer to assault a Teacher of the Year.

Why?

He didn’t want people clapping during a public meeting or commenting on his ban on applause.

What did the police officer do?

Not heard to guess the answer to that question.

Anyone charged?

Well, the assaulted teacher was arrested for disturbing the peace and resisting arrest – after he got out of the emergency room.

And then he was fired from his job.

The thug in blue? No problems for him.

The thug administrator? No problem for him either.

REPORT: DA NEVER INTERVIEWED COP BEFORE JUSTIFYING MURDER OF INNOCENT DAD IN RAID ON WRONG HOME

In December of 2017, police responded to a prank call, also known as a “swatting,” at the home of Andrew Finch. When the entirely innocent and unarmed father answered the door during the raid, Officer Justin Rapp was recorded on video killing him in cold blood. After the coverage died down in the press, and as TFTP accurately predicted in
January, the Wichita District Attorney quietly announced that there will be no charges. Now, we are learning that this decision was made in spite of the fact that the DA reportedly never even interviewed Rapp.

“It’s one year later and the leadership of Wichita and the WPD have failed to take any responsibility for the unjustified, unconstitutional and tragic death of Andy Finch,” Attorney Andrew Stroth wrote in a statement. “Two young children no longer have their father because of a pattern, practice and history of excessive force utilized by the Wichita Police and the unreasonable actions of Officer Justin Rapp.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Absoflippinglutely unbelievable, but perfectly predictable, for police departments around the US, whose motto appears not to be "To Protect and Serve" to "To assassinate innocents, and not ask questions afterward."

STRATCOM APOLOGIZES FOR DISTURBING TWITTER JOKE ABOUT DROPPING NUKES

Hours before the New Year's ball dropped in Times Square, US Strategic Command published - then swiftly deleted - a seemingly insensitive tweet making light of the US's violently interventionist foreign policy just weeks after President Trump ordered one of the biggest troop drawdowns in recent memory.

In a play on the annual ball-dropping ritual, StratCom tweeted that "if ever needed, we are #ready to drop something much, much bigger" than the New Year's ball.

A video of B-2 bombers dropping two 30,000-pound conventional weapons during a test run accompanied the video, according to the Associated Press.

Very not funny, folks, and particularly unfunny to people living on a first-strike target here on Oahu, because all military communications go from here eastward.

Goodbye, UNESCO: Israel and US quit UN heritage agency

The countries announced in 2017 that they would withdraw from the UN Educational, Science and Cultural Organization, accusing it of bias against Israel. That went into effect at the stroke of midnight.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That was a bit of an eyebrow raise, but here is what UNESCO actually did, to cause the US and Israel to walk away from it:

n 2017, UNESCO passed another resolution that upset Israeli officials, designating the Hebron/al-Khalil Old Town in the occupied West Bank — with its Tomb of Patriarchs, known in Judaism as Machpela — as a Palestinian World Heritage Site only. The holy cave, believed to be the burial place of the Hebrew patriarch Abraham, is known to Muslims as the Ibrahimi Mosque and is divided today, with separate entrances for the site's mosque and synagogue.

THE HORROR! UNESCO actually identified one site as Palestinian World Heritage site only!!!! That means (panic attack/trembling in Tel Aviv) there must have been a Palestine around here somewhere! But we say Palestine never existed, does not exist, AND WILL NOT EXIST, NO MATTER HOW MUCH THE UN RECOGNISES THEM!

Unfortunately, this is most likely going to serve to marginalize the US and Israel even further from the realm of international cooperation more than leadership of both countries can possibly know.

NYPD PLAN TO USE DRONES AS PART OF NEW YEAR’S EVE SECURITY DEFEATED BY MOTHER NATURE

CBS News reports that the city’s plan to deploy drones as part of security for the Times Square crowd was defeated – by Mother Nature:

There was to be plenty of security in place: Uniformed and plain-clothed officers positioned on the ground and on rooftops, along with 1,200 cameras rolling on the crowds.

The pouring rain did keep the NYPD from deploying drones as they had planned to, but Police Commissioner James O’Neill said revelers shouldn’t be concerned.

It’s only a question of time, though, until the city routinely uses drones to surveille us all in the city. Are you prepared for that? Are you okay with that? If not, what are you doing about it?

Webmaster's Commentary:

The better question to ask is, what actually CAN be done about it, when cities and counties add this kind of surveillance to their budget?!?
