“RISING INEQUALITY” COULD IMPACT AMERICA’S AAA CREDIT RATING: MOODY’S: IT “WILL EXACERBATE ALREADY MATERIAL FISCAL CHALLENGES ON THE HORIZON.” IF UNADDRESSED, “SOCIAL TENSIONS WILL CONTINUE TO RISE.”

Credit-analysis firm Moody’s Investors Service is sounding the alarm bells over “rising inequality” as the gap widens between America’s rich and poor, potentially threatening the country’s AAA rating.

So much for that vision of a newly emboldened American working class …

Instead, Trump’s $1.5 trillion in tax cuts, according to Moody’s, have helped make the rich richer, putting more of the onus of repaying the country’s debt on the poor.

“Since 1995, the top 10% of US income earners have experienced an overall median net worth increase of close to 200%, while the bottom 40% of income earners have seen a decline. There has been a particularly sharp increase in wealth and income inequality ratios since the global financial crisis,” Moody’s noted in a report released on Monday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Scary to acknowledge, but that's about the long and short of it on those tax cuts, which gave a tremendous economic boost... to the already monied and advantaged.

WALMART HAS AN INCREDIBLY CREEPY CART PATENT TO MONITOR YOUR BIOMETRIC DATA

Walmart has a totally creepy idea to monitor your biometric data, pulse, and location from the sensors on a shopping cart handle, Motherboard reported.

Walmart recently applied for a patent that details biometric shopping handles that can track a customer’s heart rate, palm temperature, grip, and how fast the cart is being pushed.

The patent titled “System And Method For A Biometric Feedback Cart Handle” published August 23rd, details a cart with sensors in it that would then send data to a server. That server would then notify store employees to check on individual customers.

The company has yet to clarify the use-cases of such a patented cart besides creepy privacy-invasive technology. However, it can be assumed that some of these cart features would be for customer safety and anti-theft measures.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Just because it is both creepy and scary, is no guarantee that Walmart will not get the patent, and move forward with integrating it into their carts.

Should that implementation happen, color us OUT of Walmart, permanently!!!!

‘Land of censorship & home of the fake’: Alternative voices on Facebook and Twitter’s crackdown

Alternative voices online are incensed after Facebook and Twitter closed down hundreds of political media pages ahead of November's crucial midterm elections. Facebook says they broke its spam rules, they say it’s censorship.

Some 800 pages spanning the political spectrum, from left-leaning organizations like The Anti Media, to flag-waving opinion sites like Right Wing News and Nation in Distress, were shut down. Other pages banned include those belonging to police brutality watchdog groups Filming Cops and Policing the Police. Even RT America’s Rachel Blevins found her own page banned for posts that were allegedly “misleading users.”

Israel fines New Zealand women $18,000 for urging Lorde concert boycott

An Israel court has ordered two New Zealand women to pay damages for harming the “artistic welfare” of three Israeli teenagers after the pop star Lorde cancelled a planned performance in Tel Aviv.

Judge Mirit Fohrer ruled that Justine Sachs and Nadia Abu-Shanab of New Zealand must pay damages to Israeli teenagers Shoshana Steinbach, Ayelet Wertzel and Ahuva Frogel totaling more than NZ$18,000 for writing a letter urging the singer to cancel her concert in Tel Aviv, the Jerusalem Post reports.

It is believed to be the first effective use of a 2011 Israeli law allowing civil lawsuits of anyone who encourages a boycott of Israel.

The Israeli teenagers claimed their “artistic welfare” was damaged because of the cancellation and that they suffered “damage to their good name as Israelis and Jews”.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Artistic Welfare", MY ASTROLABE!!

I am hoping that the New Zealand judicial system is bright enough to realize what this truly is; an attempt to squash any artistic freedom on the part of anyone who cancels a concert in Israel, due to Palestinian human rights issues.

I sincerely hope that artists around the world will back Lourdes, with all the moral integrity possible, and never book gigs in Israel ever again, in protest of their treatment of Palestinians.

If they are asked, that they will tell event promoters that until Israel stops its wretchedly apartheid treatment of Palestinians, they cannot, in good conscience, perform in this country, ever again.

US "INVESTIGATES" GENOCIDE IN MYANMAR, COMMITS GENOCIDE IN YEMEN

Rarely is US hypocrisy so cynical and overt as a recent US State Department investigation into ongoing violence in Myanmar, all while the US continues its full spectrum support of Saudi Arabia's genocidal war on Yemen.

In addition to Washington's role in Yemen, the US also occupies Afghanistan and Syria while carrying out drone strikes and covert military interventions in territory stretching from North Africa to Central Asia.

In Myanmar specifically, the US has openly and for decades funded and supported groups and individuals involved directly on both sides of ongoing ethnic violence. Now, it is leveraging that violence to single out obstacles to US influence in Southeast Asia and in Myanmar specifically.

Reuters in their article titled, "U.S. accuses Myanmar military of 'planned and coordinated' Rohingya atrocities," would claim:

Webmaster's Commentary:

I used to have a great deal of respect for this country,my birthplace, the United States of America.

But when your eyes are open to the horrific atrocities this country has committed, and is still committing against foreign populations, that respect transmogrifies into an horrific awareness, that this country is run by the monied, for the monied, and of the monied.

Elections change nothing; we simply get a glorified Kabuki like performance of people who have been pre-vetted by the monied and the US Deep State, and will only serve their interests, no matter if their interests are in sync with those of We the People, or not.

This is from indexmundi.com, which, for some unfathomable reason, still calls the country Burma:

The Natural Resources of Burma

The article goes on to state:

"Natural resources: petroleum, timber, tin, antimony, zinc, copper, tungsten, lead, coal, marble, limestone, precious stones, natural gas, hydropower, arable land

Definition: This entry lists a country's mineral, petroleum, hydropower, and other resources of commercial importance, such as rare earth elements (REEs). In general, products appear only if they make a significant contribution to the economy, or are likely to do so in the future."

And of course, as with every other country the US has invaded/pacified/conquered, which it wants here, is the following: a US-Centric government, well-kept with a lot of hush money for its top leadership, which does not mind the expropriation of its resources, and with those resources not being allowed benefit to the citizens of those countries, and all to be sold only for the US dollar.

The only thing left is to peacefully witness to the reality that in both Myanmar and Yemen, the mind-set of the US government and
Deep State, is that the people of these countries are only "collateral damage", to be disposed of in the most expeditious way possible, because that... is the US government's and Deep State's "Final Solution" for dispersing whatever wealth these countries do have in resources to US-friendly companies.

TURKISH COURT FREES US PASTOR BRUNSON AFTER 2YRS IN JAIL

A Turkish court will release imprisoned US pastor Andrew Brunson, who was jailed for alleged terror links following 2016’s failed coup attempt. Brunson’s arrest has soured US-Turkish relations, with Trump pushing for his release.
Charged with terrorism offences, the court handed down a sentence of 3 years and 1-1/2 month sentence for the evangelical Christian pastor on Friday. Despite the verdict, the court also ruled that the US man would not serve any further time as he had already been detained by authorities since October 2016.

VIRGIN’S BRANSON HALTS TALKS ON $1 BLN SAUDI INVESTMENT IN SPACE VENTURES

British billionaire Richard Branson said on Thursday that his Virgin Group would suspend its discussions with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund over a planned $1 billion investment in the group’s space ventures, in light of the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Reuters reports.

“What has reportedly happened in Turkey around the disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, if proved true, would clearly change the ability of any of us in the West to do business with the Saudi government,” Branson said in a statement.

Branson also said he would suspend his directorship in two Saudi tourism projects around the Red Sea, citing Khashoggi’s disappearance. Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Branson did the right thing, and I applaud his decision.

But I sincerely wish he had done it for the right reason, and that would be to turn the world's attention to the slaughter of innocents in Yemen, in which the US military and government is aiding and abetting the Saudi military in their war crimes. Warning: very graphic images.

COPS TOLD ‘DON’T LOOK’ AT NEW IPHONES TO AVOID FACE ID LOCK-OUT

AFTER FIVE FAILED ATTEMPTS WITH THE 'WRONG' FACE, APPLE'S FACE ID SYSTEM WILL FALL BACK TO ASKING A PASSCODE; A TRICKY SITUATION FOR INVESTIGATORS.
As Apple continues to update its iPhones with new security features, law enforcement and other investigators are constantly playing catch-up, trying to find the best way to circumvent the protections or to grab evidence. Facebook purges hundreds of political pages, some alt-media with millions of followers

Facebook is again being called out for purging political accounts too far left and right of center, after it removed more than 800 pages just in time for the 2018 midterm elections. Some had millions of followers.

Many of the affected pages were supposedly sharing links between groups using fake accounts, which then clicked "Like" on the posts, artificially upping their engagement numbers. This "inauthentic behavior" violates Facebook's anti-spam policies and goes against "what people expect" from Facebook, the company said.

While some of the deleted pages have been known to run content of questionable credibility at times, Facebook did not expressly accuse them of spreading "fake news" – or actually provide a list of names or examples of postings at all. However, under the platform's new policies, simply spreading "news" is frowned upon: it has recently tweaked its algorithm to prevent users' feeds from being dominated by news stories.

56,000 sealed federal indictments + Q arrests promise + mid-term election stage = ‘We the People’ victory? Either way, be prepared

*hyperlinks/videos live at source*

With documentation and analysis of every month’s increase of sealed federal indictments by ~5,000 here, what can we factually conclude about ~56,000 total indictments, Q’s promise of .01% arrests, and the mid-term election stage?

1. 55,677 sealed federal indictments since November 2017 is over 50 times the normal pace of ~1,000 per year. A sealed indictment means someone will be arrested for a felony, with related investigation and other indictments pending. This could mean .01% arrests for ongoing illegal rogue state empire annually killing millions, harming billions, and looting trillions. It could also mean Patriot arrests to end our “rebellion,” or just another psyop allowing empire to continue.
2. Q Anon promises arrests (here and October 4 Q post 2343) which puts an endgame clock on this voice.

DHS Investigators Argue The Border Warrant Exception Covers Searches Performed Miles From The Border

The DHS is back in court, arguing for its "right" to expand border searches to cover the entire country. The case in which Homeland Security investigators are making this dubious claim involves the placement of a GPS device on a truck crossing the Canadian border… which FBI agents then tracked all the way down into California.

The "bust" carried out in Southern California turned up plenty of legal frozen pastries and four bags of a cocaine-like substances known as regular-ass sugar. The FBI posited this was a trial run for actual drugs and chose to take its collected evidence to court, where it was promptly thrown out by the presiding judge. As the judge saw it, tracking a vehicle inland requires a warrant. The "border exception" to warrant requirements can't be expanded to cover searches performed miles from the 100-mile "Constitution-free zone."

ANOTHER Google executive demands dismantling America to stop conservatives; announces desire to “abolish the Senate”

Late last week, after Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, announced she would support then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation – which guaranteed he would receive enough votes to be seated – an executive from Google tweeted his disdain for the process as well as joining in an effort to bribe a sitting U.S. senator, which is supposed to be a crime.

“Abolish the Senate,” Google Ventures partner Ken Norton tweeted.

If that bit of lunacy wasn’t enough, Norton then tweeted what can be correctly described as a “bribery scheme,” according to PJ Media, in an attempt to force Collins to change her mind and vote “no” instead on Kavanaugh’s confirmation (mind you, he’s one of the most brilliant jurists to come along in a generation – far smarter than the juvenile Leftists opposed to him).

“Match my pledge to Either Sen. Collins VOTES NO on Kavanaugh OR we fund her future opponent on @Crowdpac,” he wrote.

The Navy’s Terrible Accident Record Is Now Hidden From Public View

Websites appear and disappear every day. The internet is an amorphous beast, constantly being edited and updated. We accept these changes as simple fact, but crucial information is frequently removed from government websites—and small changes over time can have major downstream consequences.

I made the disturbing discovery recently that, amid a dramatic five-year spikein aviation accidents, the Navy has put aviation safety data that used to be public behind a wall. I bumped into this change while researching for the documentary film Who Killed Lt. Van Dorn?, which uncovers the long history of negligence and institutional failure surrounding the 53E helicopter, the deadliest aircraft in the U.S. military.

Big Pharma FDA scam allows drug companies to turn a $10 supplement into a $40,000 prescription drug while banning the supplement

Big Pharma is at it again. Thanks to an outdated and much exploited U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) loophole, L-glutamine – a supplement that offers a host of incredible health benefits – could soon move from the supplement section to the prescription counter at your local pharmacy. And its price could skyrocket from $10 for 120 pills, to as much as $40,000 for a year’s supply.

As reported by The Alliance for Natural Health (ANH-USA), the FDA has approved a new L-glutamine based drug called Endari for the treatment of sickle cell anemia, and since no supplement company has registered a New Dietary Ingredient (NDI) application for this amino acid, the supplement could be permanently removed from distribution by any other company.

Google Lied About "Dragonfly" China Censorship Project According To Leaked Transcript

The project, code-named Dragonfly, would blacklist phrases like "human rights," "student protest," and "Nobel Prize," and has resulted in at least seven Google employees quitting for ethical reasons. Other employees have circulated a letter recognizing a "code yellow" emergency, suggesting that the Dragonfly initiative violates Google's ethical code, which states that the company will not build or deploy technologies "whose purpose contravenes widely accepted principles of international law and human rights," according to The Intercept.

The project has also drawn criticism from human rights groups, congressional legislators and Vice President Mike Pence - who called on the search engine giant to "immediately end development of the Dragonfly app that will strengthen the Communist Party’s censorship and compromise the privacy of Chinese customers."

Google, meanwhile, lied in their attempts to downplay the project.

‘THE GOOD CENSOR’: Leaked Google Briefing Admits Abandonment of Free Speech for ‘Safety And Civility’

An internal company briefing produced by Google and leaked exclusively to Breitbart News argues that due to a variety of factors, including the election of President Trump, the “American tradition” of free speech on the internet is no longer viable.

Despite leaked video footage showing top executives declaring their intention to ensure that the rise of Trump and the populist movement is just a “blip” in history, Google has repeatedly denied that the political bias of its employees filter into its products.

But the 85-page briefing, titled “The Good Censor,” admits that Google and other tech platforms now “control the majority of online conversations” and have undertaken a “shift towards censorship” in response to unwelcome political events around the world.

Examples cited in the document include the 2016 election and the rise of Alternative for Deutschland (AfD) in Germany.

Leaked Transcript of Private Meeting Contradicts Google’s Official Story on China

It was Wednesday, July 18, and Gomes was addressing a team of Google employees who were working on a secretive project to develop a censored search engine for China, which would blacklist phrases like “human rights,” “student protest,” and “Nobel Prize.”

Gomes joked about the unpredictability of President Donald Trump and groaned about the ongoing trade war between the U.S. and China, which has slowed down Google’s negotiations with Communist Party officials in Beijing, whose approval Google requires to launch the censored search engine.

Google's secret plan to censor the internet: Giant wants tech companies to police what users post, leaked report reveals

The 85-page paper, leaked by a Google employee, claims that cyber harassment, racism and people venting their frustrations are 'eroding' free speech online.

It says that the ability to post anonymously has 'empowered' online commenters to express their views 'recklessly' and 'with abandon'.

Censoring the internet could make comment sections safer and more civil for everyone, the report concludes.

In response to the leak, Google insisted the document was not company policy, though it admitted the research was something being considered by top bosses.

Internet rights advocates said that censoring online debate risks hampering free speech and creating an environment in which the views of some groups are not tolerated by big technology firms.

Kavanaugh accuser Ford nominated for UNC award for her ‘courage’ and ‘inspiration’

A group of faculty, students and alums at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill are nominating Christine Blasey Ford for a Distinguished Alumna Award after she testified before a Senate panel about her sexual assault allegations against then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Citing the “courage it took for her to take the moral and ethical stand that she did in testifying about her sexual assault experience in front of the world,” a letter from English professor Jennifer Ho nominates Ford for the award.

The U.S. Senate confirmed Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court Saturday with a 50-48 vote and he was sworn in that night in a private ceremony.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am having an industrial-strength Picard double-palm, at warp speed upon reading this.

Do these endorsers NOT understand this woman's method, motive, and
opportunity, completely truth-free, was centered upon a chance to create a potentially lethal, profession take-down of this judge, just because he is a conservative?!?

This was a frantic, fact-free, deep-ditch effort by the Democrats to prevent a conservative from being confirmed to the Supreme Court, and Ford's accusations could not be corroborated.

They lost it, with Kavanaugh's confirmation. But don't think for a minute that they will stop at this "bump in the road", and some, like Senator Corey Booker, are claiming that if the Democrats win the midterms, they will impeach Kavanaugh.

Under the Constitution, a Supreme Court Judge can be impeached: but it only has happened once in American history: a second Supreme Court Justice who was impeached, resigned before the hearings could be heard. It is the House which impeaches, but it is the Senate where the case for impeachment will be tried.

Fun at the United Nations and in Congress: Israel Wins the Comedy Competition

The same creative thinking that produced the bomb with its lit fuse had come up with a different kind of delayed action joke that Bibi knew would confuse his audience before being revealed for what it was, trumping Trump’s attempt at humor, so to speak.

Netanyahu produced a series of large photos taken near Tehran by Israeli intelligence showing a wall and a gate. He said it was an Iranian “secret atomic warehouse for storing massive amounts of equipment and material for Iran’s secret nuclear weapons program.”

The audience gasped, clearly impressed by Bibi’s unexpected rollout of a hitherto unknown top secret installation, but the joke came the next day when it was revealed that the complex inside the wall actually contained a number of businesses, including a scrap metal dealership and a carpet cleaning service.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Premier Netanyahu, a word, please; your current attempted fakeout of the UN reminds me of the following phrase: to do something over and over again, in much the same way, yet expecting a different outcome, is a classic definition of insanity.

How in the name of logic did you expect to get away with this, and be believed by Ambassadors at the UN?!?

Wolf at the Door: Prospects of US Military Intervention in Venezuela

There is another fact that stands out in the poll: 62% of Venezuelans prefer President Maduro to solve the economic problems of the country, while 34% prefer an opposition government. 61% blame economic problems on agents external to the government such as the economic war, the fall of the price of oil, price speculation, and U.S. financial sanctions, while 37% attribute them to the economic policies implemented by the government.

The possible conspirators within the armed forces, meanwhile, have been detected and imprisoned, while the foreign media speak of other disgruntled soldiers who have deserted.

Foreign mainstream media outlets insist on imposing the military options on public opinion (even posting bizarre surveys), but opposition political leaders consider that this debate could feed expectations for an external saviour, which would go against reorganising efforts made by some [opposition] politicians.

Did the Saudis Kidnap and Murder Journalist Jamal Khashoggi?

Last year, Khashoggi fled Saudi Arabia over harsh crackdowns on regime critics. Friction between him and its despotic ruling family surfaced after saying the kingdom should be “nervous about a Trump presidency.”

He opposed Saudi aggression in Yemen, its unacceptable policies toward Qatar, and harshness against critics.

Banned from writing and speaking out publicly, he self-exiled himself to America, saying

“I have left my home, my family and my job, and I am raising my voice,” adding:

“To do otherwise would betray those who languish in prison. I can speak when so many cannot.”

Earlier this year, he said Saudi intellectuals and journalists risk imprisonment for criticizing ruling family policies.

The State Department was largely silent on Khashoggi’s disappearance, a statement saying it’s aware of reports and seeks more information.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel detains American student at airport for five days over her political views, with little attention from U.S. press

Israel’s detention at its international airport of Lara Alqasem, 22, an American student holding a visa to study at Hebrew University, has gone on five days today. Reports from the Israeli media are that Alqasem, whose father is Palestinian, will get a hearing of her appeal of the deportation order— “within days,” her lawyers hope.

This is plainly a battle between liberal forces inside Israel and the rightwing government. The Israeli government is denying visitors to Alqasem and is determined to deport her for pro-boycott views that Alqasem has sought to distance herself from.

The Times of Israel reports today:

The Tel Aviv District Court on Sunday was set to schedule a hearing for an appeal against the deportation of a US student of Palestinian descent, who was denied entry into the country last week over her alleged support of the movement to boycott Israel.

Alqasem is raising money by crowdsource in order to fight the deportation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

An American kid, with a visa to study at Hebrew University?!?

Does any one of US Corporate presstitutes or members of the Israeli Knesset understand, even vaguely, just how lousy the optics of this detention are here for the country of Israel?!?

And Israel sells itself as "the only democracy in the Middle East"?!?

Give this detainee a break, here! Show yourself, as a government to be magnanimous, even if you hate the way she thinks, if you can.

Israeli fire wounds 11 Palestinians at Gaza protest

Gaza's Health Ministry says 11 Palestinians have been wounded by Israeli gunfire in a protest along the territory's land and sea boundary with Israel.

Monday's beach demonstration was part of a half-year-long protest campaign by Gaza's Hamas rulers.

Protesters on fishing boats fixed Palestinian flags on a fence that extends into the Mediterranean. On land, other protesters briefly breached the frontier under the cover of smoke from flaming tires.

Israeli soldiers responded with tear gas and live fire.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This fight will be ongoing, and I fear, will only lead to one outcome; the ultimate genocide of the Palestinian people.

And the Islamic countries surrounding Israel will do nothing, because they understand fully that, with the US government's aid, Israel has nuclear weapons, and won't hesitate to use them.

Putting War Back in Children’s Culture

Now that Darth Vader’s breathy techno-voice is a staple of our culture, it’s hard to remember how empty was the particular sector of space Star Wars blasted into. The very day the Paris Peace Accords were signed in 1973, Richard Nixon also signed a decree ending the draft. It was an admission of the obvious: war, American-style, had lost its hold on young minds. As an activity, it was now to be officially turned over to the poor and nonwhite.

Those in a position to produce movies, TV shows, comics, novels, or memoirs about Vietnam were convinced that Americans felt badly enough without such reminders. It was simpler to consider the war film and war toy casualties of Vietnam than to create cultural products with the wrong heroes, victims, and villains. In Star Wars, George Lucas successfully challenged this view, decontaminating war of its recent history through a series of inspired cinematic decisions that rescued crucial material from the wreckage of Vietnam.

US Envoy: Trump Peace Plan Focuses Heavily on Israeli Security

In a Monday interview with the Times of Israel, US special envoy Jason Greenblatt reported that the upcoming peace plan from President Trump will “be heavily focused on Israeli security needs,” but will try to be “fair” to the Palestinians.

He wasn’t very clear what this would entail, but said that “each side will find things in this plan that they don’t like.” That’s already largely the case, with neither Israeli nor Palestinian officials expecting much out of the talks, and Palestinian officials in particular believe the US is too biased to be taken seriously.

What the US is actually planning to propose is not at all clear, though a focus on Israeli needs likely means that Israeli demands that the Palestinians never have any control over their own borders will be a part of the proposal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump is raising on a busted flush here, even before he spells out the specifics of the deal.

Hundreds Killed by Heavy Fighting in Afghanistan

Heavy fighting erupted in dozens of provinces across Afghanistan over the weekend, with reports over the weekend suggesting that these fights were heavily Taliban attacks timed to the 17-year anniversary of the US invasion.

Over 200 combatants were reported slain, with the Afghan Defense Ministry reporting 156 Taliban slain. Reports have 35 Afghan soldiers killed as of Saturday night, and 15 more killed overnight Sunday in Jawzjan.

The Defense Ministry has sought to rebrand all of that fighting after the fact, now saying that it was a series of “military crackdowns” as opposed to Taliban attacks. That the Afghan government lost territory, and the main highway is closed certainly raise questions about why they would’ve chosen these sites for “crackdowns.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Don't believe that the US government will ever leave Afghanistan, no matter how many on each side, are killed and maimed; this country's government will have its military in Afghanistan perpetually, because of the oil pipelines; the rare earth minerals; and it's control over opium production.

And ultimately, in not withdrawing its troops, the US government cannot be blamed for defeat.

To me, this is some wretchedly ham-fistedly, pig-headedly illogical thinking on the part of this government, which does absolutely nothing for We the People, but a great deal for Those the Monied (think: oil company executives and the military industrial complex)

And as a side note, here is a companion article: Most Americans would support US withdrawal from Afghanistan

North Korea Will Allow Inspections at Nuclear Test Site, Pompeo Confirms

Secretary of State Mike Pomepo confirmed to reporters in Seoul that Kim Jong Un has agreed to allow international inspectors to visit Punggye-ri, the dismantled nuclear teting site. A date has not yet been set, but Pompeo says that is just a question of logistics.

Punggye-ri was a hollowed up series of tunnels under a mountain, wherein the North Korean government conducted several successful nuclear weapons tests over the past 12 years. The site was dismantled in April and May, as part of a deal to move toward denuclearization.

While reporters were welcomed to oversee the collapsing of the site, some critics complained that international inspectors were never allowed to conduct close-up inspections to confirm the site was totally unusable. Ironically, many of those same critics are now dismissing the invitation for inspectors as meaningless, since the site was already dismantled months ago.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF these reports are true, it indicates that North Korea is moving in a positive direction, and that should be applauded.

President Trump took one heck of a leap of faith here, and should be commended for having had the courage in believing that there was absolutely another outcome, other than war, which could be made to happen.

I wish he could have taken the same road with Iran; unfortunately, now, however, being firmly in the unyielding grasp of the Neocons, he will never attempt that kind of approach with it.

Russia drawing up plans for Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un to talk

Russia is drawing up plans to host a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Moscow, according to the Kremlin.

Last month, Mr Putin invited Mr Kim to visit his country but details about where and when the talks could take place have yet to be decided.

The latest comments from the Kremlin come after a visit by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to North Korea.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This once again proves Russia's President Putin to be one of the "smartest guys in the room" when it comes to geopolitics, and the importance of booming economies trumping war every possible time.

Mining in North Korea

This article states:

"Mining in North Korea is important to the country's economy. North Korea is naturally abundant in metals such as magnesite, zinc, tungsten, and iron; with magnesite resources of 6 billion tonnes (second largest in the world), particularly in the Hamgyeong-do and Jagang-do provinces. However, often these cannot be mined due to the acute shortage of electricity in the country, as well as the lack of proper tools to mine these materials and an antiquated industrial base.

North Korea has reserves of more than 200 mineral types distributed over 80% of its territory with ten reserves recording large deposits of magnetite, tungsten ore, graphite, gold ore, and molybdenum. Among the largest resources with more than 2 million tons of estimated reserve are: Zinc which tops the list with 21 million tons of estimated resource; followed by non-metallic resource of 21 million tons of limestone and magnesite 6 million tons; and other mineral sources such as iron 5 million tons, anthracite 5 million tons, copper 3 million tons, barite 2 million tons, gold and graphite also 2 million tons each.[1]"

In this upcoming meeting, Putin will stress that Russia will be willing, and is able, to provide the infrastructure, equipment ,and engineering know-how to make sure that the potential financial wealth provided by these resources can now be realized, provided that Russia gets a reasonable "hunk of the action" in return for making the people, and the government, of North Korea far more prosperous.

I think that this potential proposal will be win/win music to Kim Jung Un's ears.

California DMV Finds Another 1,500 People It Wrongly Registered to Vote, Among Them Non-Citizen

At least one non-citizen and perhaps many more were improperly registered to vote in California by the Department of Motor Vehicles, prompting the secretary of state to demand a new investigation of the embattled agency Monday.

The DMV said about 1,500 people may have been incorrectly registered between April 23 and Sept. 25 because of a “processing error.” That includes legal residents who are not citizens, although the DMV says none of the people mistakenly registered are people living in the country illegally.

One Canadian national who’s lived in the U.S. 31 years told the Los Angeles Times that he knew it was a mistake when he was told he was newly registered to vote.

“When I saw that card, I just threw it out,” Randall Marquis said. “I know I’m not going to vote. I’m not allowed to vote, it’s stupid that I should be registered to vote.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is both interesting, and telling, that the one "truly Kryptonite question" the article doesn't touch is, were the illegal registrants registered as Democrats, Republicans, or Independents?!? :-)

Come on, take a wild guess, folks!!

The Constitution Won’t Permit a Kavanaugh Impeachment

The Constitution would not permit impeachment of a sitting justice for actions he took while a private citizen 35 years ago, nor would it permit using the laws of perjury, which are very tough.

Despite the high legal bar to remove a sitting justice, Democrats would probably face an extreme backlash from Republicans politically. Dershowitz further explained, “that would be absolutely foolish, inconsistent, and hypocritical.

Those who believe that Bill Clinton should never have been impeached for allegedly lying about his sex life are now going to lead the campaign to impeach Kavanaugh for allegedly lying about his sexual and drinking activities back when he was a 17-year-old? It’s hypocrisy run rampant.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is welcome news indeed.

One has to wonder; have all the Democrats, still thirsting for Kavanaugh's blood, post confirmation, ever, once, read the Constitution and Bill of Rights?!?

If not, they do not understand, nor care, about the reality that the Constitution and Bill of Rights are... this government's "Contract with America"!!

Home \Daily NewsIsrael arrests 500 Palestinians over Facebook posts

Israel arrested 500 Palestinians, including women, children and MPs, over their social media posts, the Palestine Center for Prisoners Studies reported.

The center’s spokesman Riyadh Al-Ashqar said that the Israeli authorities began arresting Palestinians for their social media posts since the start of the Jerusalem Intifada claiming such uploads incite terror against Israel.

Israel is using its recently formed “Cyber Unit” to monitor Palestinian social media posts, he said.

This unit, Al-Ashqar said, classifies any Facebook post that glorifies Palestinian martyrs, discloses Israeli crimes, and supports resistance as “incitement of terror”.

Mainstream Journos Pissed As Saudi Clown Prince Nabs One Of Their Own

The Mustache of Understanding, New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, is pissed that the Saudi clown prince Mohammad bin Salman ordered the kidnapping of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Every ten minutes a child in Yemen starves because of the famine caused by the Saudi, UAE, U.S. and UK war on the country. The renewed attack on the harbor of Hodeidah and hyperinflation over the recent months have doubled the prices of food and gas Most people in Yemen no longer have the income to pay for the needed food. Tens of thousands were already silently starved, millions will likely follow. By what humanitarian 'principle' would the potential death of one bootlicking columnist be worse than that?

UKRAINE EVACUATING 10,000 AFTER AMMO DEPOT BLASTS

Multiple blasts and an ensuing fire at an ammunition depot in northern Ukraine has prompted the compulsory evacuation of nearly 10,000 people in the area.

The fiery incident occurred early Tuesday morning at a Ukrainian Defense Ministry depot near the city of Chernigov, about 180 kilometers east of the Ukrainian capital of Kiev, officials said.

The area was placed on lockdown for air and land travel immediately following the explosions, they added.

No casualties have so far been reported as a result of the incident, and it was not instantly clear whether the blasts were the outcome of an accident or sabotage.

According to a statement by Ukraine’s emergency services, the airspace within a 20-kilometer radius of the military site has been closed and road and rail transport in the immediate vicinity has also been suspended.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder here: carelessness....or sabotage?!?

UKRAINE LAUNCHES LARGE-SCALE AIR DRILLS WITH US AND OTHER NATO COUNTRIES

Ukrainian officials announced the beginning of the Clear Sky 2018 operation in the west of Ukraine. The operation centers on warplanes focusing on coordinated air defense, with Ukraine presenting it as preparation to “protect the airspace” from Russia.

The US and several other NATO nations are participating in this operation, which is to last until October 19. Ukraine emphasized the idea of coordination with Poland and Romania, two nations that they border.

Ukraine has been keen to push the idea that Russia is an imminent military threat to them, to the point where for the past several years, top Ukrainian officials have suggested World War 3 will start over Ukrainian territory.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would politely suggest that every country in the world do everything in its power to prevent the advent of World War III as it will ultimately go nuclear.

OUTBREAK In LA: Flea-Borne Typhus Has Reached ‘Epidemic Levels’ - Mac Slavo

An outbreak of typhus has struck downtown Los Angeles. The outbreak has been blamed on the skyrocketing number of homeless people in the area.

According to the Los Angeles County Health Department, 20 cases of the rare, flea-borne infectious disease, which is also associated with poor sanitary conditions and overcrowding, have been recorded in Pasadena alone over the past two months. Health officials now say that the outbreak has reached “epidemic levels,” according to the New York Post.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It seems that the plagues and earth devastations falling upon this country right now, are of nearly Biblical proportions.

The question is, how is California going to fix this?!? Governor Brown needs to consult with his finest medical/scientific minds to get this sorted, and think very carefully here.

Bikini Girls And Cyberwars

The Times claims to have identified the Kremlin’s latest secret weapon in Cyberwars – “Bikini Girl” @Organicerica. Except there is no evidence @Organicerica has any Russian links or promotes any Russian interests.

It does appear likely that @Organicerica is a bot. The Times claims this is proven by the timing and regularity of the postings (interesting as they claim the same kind of activity pattern proves nothing in the case of Philip Cross). I am prepared to accept, for the sake of argument, that @Organicerica is a bot, or at best a young woman running an automated posting programme.

But what is the output?

Promotion of organic restaurants in Seattle.

Environmental campaigning particularly against pesticides and genetically modified food.

Nothing whatsoever on wider politics, foreign policy, Clinton.

And nothing whatsoever related to Russia.

Angry Democrats Vow "Day Of Reckoning Coming For Republicans"

The bitter battle over Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court has exacerbated the nation’s political divide and left many Americans emotionally raw. It’s also given new definition to the high stakes of November’s election.

After a nailbiter of a Supreme Court nomination until the very last minute, angry Democrats have come out in force, vowing to extract revenge on Republicans with the nation’s top Democrat urging supporters to make Republicans "pay a price" for putting Brett Kavanaugh on to the Supreme Court.

As the Washington Examiner reported, in a fundraising email that follows threats from other public officials over President Trump’s second court victory, DNC Chairman Tom Perez wrote, "Make Republicans pay a price for Brett Kavanaugh."

From DNC's Perez:

Here is one thing we've learned from the Brett Kavanaugh fight: We can never, ever, trust congressional Republicans to stand up to Donald Trump.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is with great sadness that I read what Tom Perez has written.

The one candidate they could, actually, get elected in 2020, they are ignoring like the very plague; her name is Tulsi Gabbard, a Representative from Hawaii, who is very bright, a pro-peace Veteran, and with a blended heritage (she is Samoan American), and a lot to say about the US involvement with Syria.

I fully expect a very intensive series of hot military encounters around the world, potentially leading to a US-generated world war before the end of President Trump's first term; so, Tom Perez, this is why I can assure you that by 2020, the American people are going to be absolutely ready for a pro-Peace candidate.

Are wireless voting machines vulnerable? Florida, other states say they’re safe enough

Barely a month before midterm elections, voting integrity advocates and electronic voting experts want the federal government to issue an official warning to states that use voting machines with integrated cellular modems that the machines are vulnerable to hacks, potentially interfering with the ballot counting.

Once seen as a useful tool to provide quick election results, voting machines with cellular modems are now subject to fierce debate over how easy it would be to break into them and change the results.

Such machines are certified for use in Florida, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If you have not seen the documentary "Hacking Democracy", now, right before our midterms, would be a great time to see what is has to say on fraudulent election results.

Sino-US Tensions: Pentagon Accuses China of Threatening America’s National Security

Sino/US tensions risk boiling over into something much more serious than already.

Washington considers China’s significant political, economic, trade, and military strength as a threat to US national security.

Accusations by US officials against China, Russia, and other countries are all about wanting no nations compromising Washington’s hegemonic agenda – its aim for unchallenged control.

The Trump regime slammed what it called Beijing’s “unfair trade” and other practices, along with accusing the country of intellectual property theft, cyberwar, interfering in America’s electoral process, militarizing the South China Sea, and controlling offshore islands it claims belong to other regional countries.

The US also claims the right to conduct freedom of navigation operations close to Chinese waters its officials consider provocative.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I think this paper was created in such a way as to anger the Chinese government, but also accomplish another agenda, which I will get to later in this post; that the US military is behind China, in nearly every sector of its weaponry, has to be laid squarely at the feet of the Pentagon, and those contractors with whom they are so cosy, and who give so much money to political campaigns as to prevent any reasonable, and long overdue criticisms of their products or services from harming their bottom line.

But what concerns me here, is the bristling, angry tone this takes, against both the Chinese government, and Chinese businesses, and there is a reason for that.

The Chinese are very practical, and bright, people. They understand that there are those in the bowels of power in DC who would love to see a regime change in both Russia and China. Paul Craig Roberts: Washington plans to nuke Russia and China Understanding this, can you possibly blame Chinese leadership for doing everything in its power to prevent this from happening?!?

But the belligerency here is the sort of J'accuse! rhetoric one expects to hear as the demonization prelude to a US war against China, and attempting to mold American opinion positively toward this agenda.

I frankly think that, even with the reinstitution of the draft, a war against China would be one of the most pigheadedly, ham-fistedly stupid things this government could do, and particularly at this time in our military's history. We don't have the weaponry, the manufacturing, the money, or the troop strength to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war with China.

And if the US goes to war against China, we had better count on Russia coming in on the Chinese side of the equation. Folks, I am saying this because I care about both my country, and our military; this potential war may well not end well for the US at all.

Brig. Gen. Vereen: After missing recruiting goal, Army must adapt

On Friday, Vereen, now the deputy commanding general for operations at U.S. Army Recruiting Command, walked back into the Fayetteville Recruiting Center, which is still located in the Eutaw Village Shopping Center.

Other than the location, Vereen said Army recruiting has changed a lot over the course of his 30-year career.

And now, following a year in which the Army fell short of its recruiting goals for the first time since 2005, the general said the Army would need to continue to adapt.

The Army must increase incentives for recruiters and decrease the bureaucracy soldiers must wade through on a regular basis, he said.

And recruiters must fully embrace social media, Vereen added, as the Army takes more interest in eSports and online gaming.

“We have to go where the kids are,” he said. “And they don’t look at TV anymore. We’ve almost got to change our whole way of advertising.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would frankly suggest that General Vereen and his recruiting colleagues do not have the luxury of time to "tweak" their approach to young people, with all the potential wars in which the US is about to become embroiled.

Right after the mid-terms, I think we will see a very muscular effort from the government and its Deep State, to reintroduce the draft, because the military is stretched so thinly right now.

Take a look at the following articles, as a plausible possibility that this will come about, and perhaps as soon as the end of the year:

Iran regime change will need a draft of the American military

Draft executive order shows how Trump wants to grow the U.S. military significantly

Criticism Of Israeli Policy Is Not Anti-Semitic

I was provoked to write this discussion of what is and what isn’t anti-Semitism by an article in Ha’aretz on the “controversy” created by the awarding of the 2018 Nobel Prize in Chemistry to George P. Smith. According to the reporting, Smith is not only a brilliant scientist whose work has helped lead to the creation of new drugs that can treat cancer and a range of autoimmune diseases, he is also an outspoken supporter of Palestinian rights and a critic of Israeli policies.

Webmaster's Commentary:

For giggles and grins, I have just visited the canarymission.org website.

Under section of the website, featuring the "individuals" who should now be "shunned, and disconnected from any possibility of life with dignity", I saw a lot of smiling faces of generally young people.

I saw optimism in these smiles, and not a desire for brutal retaliation for what Israel has done to the Palestinians, but a hopeful, peaceful vision of what life could be like, for both Israel and its Palestinians, if there is some rapprochement, intellectually, artistically, and ultimately, geopolitically, could happen.

One of my great heroes in 20th century music, is the great instrumentalist and conductor, Daniel Barenboim, a Jewish citizen of Argentina; Spain; Palestine; and Israel. He is now the director or the Berlin State Opera.

As noted also, in Wickileaks: "Barenboim is known for his work with the West–Eastern Divan Orchestra, a Seville-based orchestra of young Arab and Israeli musicians, and as a resolute critic of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories."

In my world, all people trying to bridge horrific gaps in perceptions about "the other" in a peaceful, loving, and logical way, are all heroes; and this gentlemen is absolutely one of those.

Erdogan Vows Revenge Against Kurds in Iraq, Says He’ll Kill At Least 800: Suggests Turkish forces will move against Sinjar and Qandil

Speaking at a conference of the ruling AK Party in Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed revenge against the Kurdish PKK after a Wednesday attack that killed eight Turkish soldiers in southeastern Turkey.

Erdogan vowed to avenge the troops by “finishing” Kurdish forces in northern Iraq, saying Turkish forces will “go into their dens” in Sinjar and Qandil, Kurdish areas of Iraq where PKK-aligned fighters are accused of being.

Erdogan has been threatening to go into Iraq after the PKK for awhile, and suggested this may be coming soon with today’s comments. Iraq has repeatedly warned Turkey against incursions into their territory.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF Turkey attacks PKK members inside Iraq, he is going to do it when the country, still reeling from the aftermaths of the US invasion and occupation, massive corruption in the Iraqi government, and a weakened Coalition which has thrust the Iranian cleric, Muktada Al Sad,r into the ascent in Iraqi politics.

He will also have to pick a time when American politicians are too occupied with their political campaigns for high office to really take note of what is happening internationally.

It is for these reasons I have shared above, that I think that such an attack might well happen some time before the mid-term election cycle here in the US (November 6th, 2018), as politicians will be too focused about what is going on with their respective campaigns to give a damn about the slaughter happening soon in Iraq.

17 Years to the Day the US Invaded, Over 100 Killed Across Afghanistan

17 years ago, the United States began its invasion and occupation of Afghanistan, officially launched to pursue al-Qaeda in general and Osama bin Laden in particular. Bin Laden is long since dead, but the US still has a massive war raging in Afghanistan, one which is going extremely poorly and shows no signs of ending.

On the war’s anniversary, fighting raged particularly hard, with 14 different provinces across Afghanistan reporting Taliban attacks, and many of them leading to substantial battles. All told, over 110 people were reported killed in 24 hours, roughly half of them Taliban, and the rest included 19 civilians and 35 Afghan soldiers.

Taliban attacks looked to secure territory gains in several districts, including strategically important districts along the Kabul-Kandahar highway. The main highway in Afghanistan, and one of the few major paved roads in the nation, officials say it is closed to traffic until fighting is resolved.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Although none of the presstitute corporate media had much to say about it, yesterday, 7 October marks the 17th year after the US invasion and occupation of Iraq.

Within that 17 years, the Taliban presence and territory have been greater, tearing off hunks more territory than they initially controlled. The puppet coalition "government" is impotent in the extreme to deliver anything of substance to the Afghani people, and corrupt beyond belief.

So, why in heaven's name is the US still there?!? Well, here is what I can tell you; they cannot leave Afghanistan, because the US military/industrial complex cannot admit that they have been defeated here, just as they cannot admit that they have ultimately been defeated in Iraq and Libya, where things continually devolve from bad to worse for the Iraqi and Libyan people.

Once you understand that all wars are economic, and these wars of aggression in which the US government loves to embroil itself, are simply about control of resources, period, end of discussion.

In Iraq and Libya, it was about the oil (and in Libya, preventing Qaddafi from initiating a gold dinar as its currency, which would definitely taken a bite out of the US dollar, anther economic reason for his assassination.)

In Afghanistan, the Bush administration believed it had the perfect lie with which to persuade the American people that Afghanistan should be attacked; after all, they were hiding Bin Laden, the "alleged" mastermind of 9/11, and with the US sentiment angry at those who allegedly did this, and wanted to "do something about it".

Bush molded our collective national distress to his narrative for the reason Afghanistan should be attacked, and little was said here in the US about it invading and occupying that country in the summer of 2001, while US diplomats
were quietly telling the heads of other countries that this was going to happen. US planned war in Afghanistan long before September 11

Bush's negotiations with the Taliban went south right before the bombing on 9/11: New Book Details Bush/Big Oil Negotiations With Taliban BEFORE WTC

This article goes on to state: 'In the beginning of August, the Bush administration and its Big Oil cohorts delivered what amounted to an ultimatum to the Taliban.

"The Taliban representatives were reportedly told by Bush/Big Oil: Accept our offer of "a carpet of gold or you'll get a carpet of bombs."

And what members of this government can NEVER tell the friends or families, grieving over a military personnel's death in Afghanistan, is the following brutal reality: "I'm sorry, but your kid didn't die for honor, glory, or preserving the 'American Way of Life'; he died so that the US government, and business cartels who own it, will have unlimited access to Afghanistan's pipelines; its rare earth minerals, and, of course, control of the opium poppy crop, and weaponise the potent, cheap heroin which is created from it, and make sure it flows like water in countries we don't particularly like (such as Russia)."

This, my friends, is the whole, sordid, ugly truth as to why we are in Afghanistan; and unless a miracle happens, our country's military will be staying there in perpetuam.

Six cases of rare 'polio-like' illness diagnosed in children in Minnesota

Six children in Minnesota have been diagnosed with a rare "polio-like" disease since mid-September, state health officials said.

Acute flaccid myelitis, known as AFM, affects the body's nervous system -- specifically, the spinal cord -- and can cause paralysis. Unlike polio, there is no vaccine for AFM.

Minnesota typically sees less than one case a year, the state Department of Health reported. The disease typically affects children; all the recent cases in Minnesota were in children younger than 10.
AFM can develop from a viral infection, although its exact cause is unknown.

Webmaster's Commentary:

According to a Google Search: "Many of the germs that cause AFM are contagious, such as enteroviruses, which typically cause mild illnesses in children such as respiratory infections. ... Some of the germs known to cause AFM are contagious between people while others are not."

But this hasn't been the first time that we have seen American kids infected by this disease:

UK SENDING 800 TROOPS TO THE ARCTIC TO TARGET RUSSIA

The British Defense Secretary announced that 800 commandos are being deployed into Norway starting next year, and continuing every winter for at least a decade. The troops will join US and Dutch troops there, and are targeting Russia.

Speaking before travelling to Birmingham to make the speech, Mr Williamson said:

“We see Russian submarine activity very close to the level that it was at the Cold War, and it’s right that we start responding to that.

“If we could turn back the clock 10 years many people thought that the era of submarine activity in the High North, in the North Atlantic, and the threat that it posed did disappear with the fall of the Berlin Wall. This threat has really come back to the fore.”

The program is built around claims of Russian aggression, and the idea that global warming will lead Russia to stake out new claims in the far north, near where old Soviet-era bases exist, for natural resources.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The goal of this continuous deployment, is aggravating Russia until its leadership does something colossally stupid; and what the British military and civilian leadership have conveniently forgotten, is that, at least under Putin's watch, this probably won't happen.

Putin, on the international stage, and in real life, is a consummate chess player, and is at least 20 moves ahead of anything the US and UK can possibly do to deter him.

CREATING NATIONAL BIOMETRIC SYSTEM FOR PATIENT MATCHING WILL THREATEN PRIVACY AND SECURITY

Pew led off the study with this dubious claim about developing a national system of patient identification: “Enhanced Patient Matching Is Critical to Achieving Full Promise of Digital Health Records.” However, problems abound with both the idea of pushing a national patient ID strategy to link patient data and the proposed use of a national infrastructure to collect and store the biometrics of Americans, such as their DNA, fingerprints or iris scans.

At an event with the study’s authors, Pew claimed “many of the participants agreed that getting organizations to settle on one unified national strategy for records matching is more crucial than agreeing on one technology,” Politico’s “Morning eHealth” newsletter reported.

Turkey claims Saudi dissident was killed, dismembered inside Saudi consulate

Turkish government sources have said that a former trusted aide of the Saudi royal family, who was shunned by Riyadh after criticizing Saudi policies, was murdered inside the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul. Jamal Khashoggi, 59, is an American-educated former adviser to Saudi royals. He worked for years as an advisor to Prince Turki al-Faisal, one of Saudi Arabia’s most recognizable public figures who represented the Kingdom as ambassador to the United States and the United Kingdom. But in 2015, when Mohammad bin Salman, favorite son of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman, began to rise through the ranks of the royal family, Khashoggi became sharply critical of changes in the Kingdom’s style of governance. He moved to the United States, from where he began to criticize Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the civil war in Yemen, its support for the repression of political freedoms in Egypt, and other issues.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Note that none of this comes from identifiable resources which wanted to state anything for the record, and there is utterly no evidence to support the possibility that the story is either true, nor untrue.

But looking at Bin Salman's butchery in Yemen, it is entirely possible this assassination happened, unless and until Khashoggi either presents himself, or the body parts are found, and a decent forensic examination can be done.

There is enough Turkish/Saudi animosity on a number of levels, and has been for many years; but to spin up a story like this with which to tar the Saudi monarchy?!? One has to wonder.

‘WE’RE INDEPENDENT’: INDIA DEFIES US SANCTIONS OVER BILLION-WORTH S-400 DEAL WITH RUSSIA

India’s not cowed by US threats of sanctions for buying Russia’s S-400 missile systems, as it follows an “independent policy,” an army chief said, adding that his country had to think of what is “strategically important.”
General Bipin Rawat implied that his country is no vassal state, and it has every right to go ahead with a $5.4 billion purchase of five surface-to-air missile systems from Russia.

He spoke at the General K V Krishna Rao inaugural memorial lecture in the Indian capital, New Delhi.

“When Russians asked about the American sanctions, my reply was, ‘yes, we do appreciate that there could be sanctions on us, but we follow an independent policy,’” the general said after a six-day visit to Russia, during which he met a string of top Armed Forces officials.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are a number of countries which are eager to ditch both the dollar, and the SWIFT system of exchange, in order to do what is best for their countries and economies, and buy Russian-made military equipment.

This threat of sanctions will only push India and Russia close together, just as have sanctions on Iran pushed it closer to Russia and China.

Sorry, but I don't think that this was the design intent of those in the bowels of power in DC, who decided that sanctions....could resolve everything; in fact, these sanctions appear to be exploding, collectively, like a box of bad trick cigars, right in their faces.

CHINESE ‘AGGRESSIVE INDUSTRY’ THREATENS US MILITARY COMPLEX, ‘STABLE BUDGET’ NEEDED – PENTAGON

A new Pentagon report calls China the main threat to the US military-industrial complex, sounding alarm over the decline of some “critical defense functions,” due to Beijing’s actions, workforce shortages and “unstable” funding.
“While multiple countries pursue policies to bolster their economies at the expense of America’s manufacturing sector, none has targeted our industrial base as successfully as China,” the report, titled ‘Assessing and Strengthening the Manufacturing and Defense Industrial Base and Supply Chain Resiliency of the United States,’ says.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Dear Pentagon: a word, please.

Understanding that China is on many US radars, as part of the US's "to do" list for regime change, Washington Plans to Nuke Russia and Chinacan you honestly blame China for wanting to be on the cutting edge of equipment, skilled personnel, and material which might be used to prevent that from happening?!? I

If not, then I must regretfully observe that the Pentagon has suffered from a catastrophic failure of imagination, with regard to China.

So, Pentagon, please: as they used to say in NASA, "Work the Problem".?

It is painfully obvious you fully appreciate what has to be done; so it is high time, get these issues sorted, and with a industrial-strength, titanium-shielded timeline you won't allow to slip in terms of taking care of this.

The American people count on you to do what is right, in terms of taking care of us, and shielding us from harm other nations may plot against us.

So instead of blaming the Chinese government and military for having had a magnificent grasp of the obvious here, let's move forward to make sure that We the People are kept safe.

Having read this document, and living here on Oahu, I understand that one Chinese bomb could decimate it; so color me more than a little nervous if things between the US and China escalate from trade war to a shooting war.

SAUDI CROWN PRINCE SAYS WON’T PAY US FOR OWN SECURITY

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said his country will not pay Washington for its own security, saying his oil-rich kingdom was created even before the US itself.

“Saudi Arabia was there before the United States of America. It’s there since 1744, I believe more than 30 years before the United States of America,” bin Salman told Bloomberg in an exclusive interview late Friday.

Last week, US President Donald Trump said the Saudi King would not last for two weeks in power without US military support.

But bin Salman downplayed Trump’s remarks, saying “you have to accept that any friend will say good things and bad things”.

“So you cannot have 100 per cent friends saying good things about you, even in your family. You will have some misunderstandings. So we put that in that category,” he said.

The Crown Prince said Riyadh has paid for all weapons bought from the US.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Money can apparently buy hubris, as it has done for the B.O.Y. (aka the Butcher of Yemen, aka Prince Salman)

Take, for example, his absolute disingenuous statements on the war against Yemen, which he actually gave the order to start, after the Houthis overthrew the al-Hadi government in 2015.

This horrific war, which has cost thousands of Yemeni lives to date, and will probably cost thousands more, could be stopped in a heartbeat, if the Saudi government were actually committed to a negotiated settlement; but the Saudi government wants complete capitulation on the part of both the Houthis, and the Yemeni people. And I will warn you: the images below are very graphic, but honest depictions of what the cost of this war has been to the Yemeni people.

Saudi-backed delegates leave Yemen peace talks The article goes on to state:

"A delegation from Yemen’s former government has left UN-brokered talks in Geneva after representatives of the Houthi movement were prevented by Saudi Arabia from attending the negotiations."

If the Houthis were not present, there was truly no one with whom the Saudis could negotiate.

But what is worse, is knowing that one is a citizen of a government which continues to aid and abet Saudi war crimes in Yemen; that is, of course, the Unhinged, Surveilled, State of Amerika, which continues to provide mid-air refueling to Saudi war jets, and "guidance" for their strikes - like, most probably, the school bus with Yemeni kids going on a field trip, assassinated by a Saudi air strike Saudi-led coalition strikes school bus in Yemen, murdering at least 29 children

Saudi soldiers continue to to murder and maim infants, children, women, and the medically fragile elderly, and bomb schools and hospitals with impunity.

Images: children dead and maimed for life from Saudi bombing raids

With port blockades, accomplished through US help, they are preventing food aid from coming in at all, so much of the population is malnourished to the point of death. With the coming takeover of the Hodeida port, which looks to be happening soon, this will cut off nearly all of the food for famished innocents.

Images: Yemeni children dying from malnutrition

And finally, there has been an epidemic of cholera, courtesy of Saudi military having thoroughly destroyed all the water infrastructure in Yemen ( using a possibly weaponized strain, as was done by the American military during World War II) which has run rampant, and is, as of yet, completely uncontrolled.

Images: Yemeni children dying of cholera

If we do nothing, and say nothing, we, too, are complicit in these war crimes.

And so I ask my brother and sister Americans, in the most peaceful, logical way possible, to advocate for the US government withdrawing all its troops and supplies who, and which, have been supporting Saudi war crimes in Yemen.

The situation in Yemen has been described by human rights officials as one of the worst, ongoing catastrophes of the 21st century; I would politely suggest that the US not continue to enable these war Saudi war crimes here.

I am sure that, because of the circumstances of his birth, into one of the most monied, and aristocratic families on the face of this earth, that Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, has been awarded many honorifics in terms of his titles.

But I would hope that he understands fully, that "the one" which will stick, after he has passed, and at the top of the list after this genocide in Yemen is finally over, is that of "The Butcher of Yemen".

US 'never negotiates, it demands everything in its own way': Analyst

The United States can never be trusted because it does not honor its international agreements, according to American political analyst Stephen Lendman.

The US-based author and political commentator told Press TV in a phone interview on Friday that Washington “never negotiates, it demands everything in its own way.”

He said Americans were used to demanding what they want from others via military threat, and not negotiations.

Lendman described the US as an unreliable partner.

“It never negotiates; it demands everything in its own way,” he said.

Speaking from Chicago, Lendman said US leaders use coercive measures to force other countries to accept their demands.

ISRAEL SLASHES GAZA FISHING ZONE BY 33% IN RETALIATION FOR WEEKLY PROTESTS

The offshore area where Gazans are allowed to fish has been reduced by Tel Aviv to six nautical miles, in retaliation to the violence during weekly border protests, amid heightening tensions between Israelis and Palestinians.
Tightening Israel’s economic blockade of the Gaza Strip, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman ordered the reduction of the Palestinian offshore fishing zone from nine nautical miles to six. The drastic measure was taken in response to the ongoing Great March of Return riots and to sea protests, in which Palestinian boats sail up to the maritime boundary between Israel and the coastal Palestinian enclave.

“The defense minister’s decision was made following the violent rioting over the weekend near the [security] fence and attempts to harm IDF forces and launch confrontational flotillas at the maritime border,” said a statement issued by the ministry.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would like to politely remind Israel's Prime Minister, the IDF, Shin Bet, and the Knesset, that such mass punishment is considered a war crime, under the Geneva Conventions.

And I would like to also politely remind these individuals and groups within Israel, that if the decision is made to turn Gaza into your own personal shooting gallery as punishment for the Palestinians' expressing their desire for The Right of Return (enshrined by Israel's first Government), the world collectively may be thoroughly convinced that BDS is the only way to stop Israel's bad behaviour, is by swiftly paralyzing Israel's economy.

Do please consider that, because the hour of such a decision may not be terribly far away.

Police-Grade Surveillance Technology Comes to the Playground

As other elementary schools across the country were preparing for the new school year by cleaning classrooms and training teachers, Hermosa Elementary, in Artesia, New Mexico was also installing a network of wireless microphones that could pick up the specific concussive audio signature of gunfire. Placed high in classrooms and hallways, the golf-ball-sized devices can alert authorities to the sound and location of gunshots, reportedly within 20 seconds of firing. They can also identify make and model of guns, and automatically lock doors and sound alarms throughout the campus.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Note that every dime spent for surveillance, personnel, and related equipment is not the dime being spent on real education for these kids.

Were I to understand that this was happening in my child's public school, if home-schooling was permitted, I would pull that child out of public school immediately, schedule an appointment with the principal, and explain why I was doing this.

If I lived in a state where home schooling is not allowed, I would move to a state in which it was; if Mike and I had had children, this is something that would have been that an important issue for us.

It gives us an incentive to make government more local, bring it back under our control. -- It certainly encourages us not to let their distortions of reality shape our worldview…

The Best Government Money Can Buy

In America’s corrupt political culture, a monster like Sheldon Adelson can buy both a White House and Congress on behalf of a foreign government for a paltry $150 million or so. It is a reasonable investment for him given his views, as through him Israel is able to control a large slice of American foreign policy while also receiving billions of dollars each year from the US Treasury. And for those who think it would be different if the Democrats were in charge, think again. The Democrats have their own Adelson. His name is Haim Saban, an Israeli-American media magnate who has said he is a “one issue guy and my issue is Israel.” He is also the largest individual contributor to the Democratic Party.

Trump’s March to War with Iran

War with Iran would be a painful and pointless disaster. It would make the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan look like warm-up acts. It would cost trillions of dollars, kill tens of thousands of people and destabilize an already volatile region. It would trigger a global recession as oil prices spike and uncertainty collapses markets. It would also drive the spread of nuclear weapons and increase the risk of nuclear weapons use.

War would not in any conceivable scenario lead to the establishment of a popular, democratic, and pro-Western government in Iran. With war would come chaos. If the current regime were to fall, the power would pass not to demonstrators in the streets but to those with the guns—the Revolutionary Guard. In all likelihood, war would bring to power a more virulent, more dictatorial, and more anti-American regime than the current one in Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why is President Trump making these moves right now?!?

Because it was a promise given to both Sheldon Adelson, the man who owns Middle East Foreign policy, due to giving President Trump maximum financial support possible, and his other BFF in the Middle East, Prime Minister Netanyahu, along with the promise to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Unfortunately, President Trump is no master military strategist, and he keeps on drinking the grade-A koolaid from his military advisers, that this would actually be a winnable war.

And the question which should keep some people in the bowels of power in DC awake at night is this; if President Trump goes into Iran, what will Russia, its long time friend and trading partner do?!?

My suggestion is that just as it has for Syria, Russia will assist Iran militarily against the US; so just how does that change the equation???

And we also have a companion piece here, also from globalresearch. Taking a page out of the Hussein/Bush playback, and here it comes:Illegal sanctions: Pompeo arranges mass-starvation of the Iranian People

Is Saudi Arabia the Middle East’s Next Failed State?

Reports are growing that Muhammad bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s hyperactive crown prince, is losing his grip. His economic reform program has stalled since his father, King Salman, nixed plans to privatize 5 percent of Saudi Aramco. The Saudi war in Yemen, which the prince launched in March 2015, is more of a quagmire than ever while the kingdom’s sword rattling with Iran is making the region increasingly jumpy.

Heavy gunfire in Riyadh last April sparked rumors that MBS, as he’s known, had been killed in a palace coup. In May, an exiled Saudi prince urged top members of the royal family to oust him and put an end to his “irrational, erratic, and stupid” rule. Recently, Bruce Riedel, an ex-CIA analyst who heads up the Brookings Institution’s Intelligence Project, reported that the prince is so afraid for his life that he’s taken to spending nights on his yacht in the Red Sea port of Jeddah.

Webmaster's Commentary:

All the signs point to potential downfall here; and then what happens both to Saudi government, its oil, and the wars of conquest it is waging, overtly and covertly?!?

Mattis: US to Respond to ‘Blatant’ Russia Violation of Arms Treaty

Just days after US Ambassador Kay Bailey Hutchison threatened to start a war against Russia by preemptively destroying a certain type of Russian missiles over a perceived violation of the Intermediate Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty, Defense Secretary James Mattis is continuing the saber-rattling.

Mattis claimed Russia is “in blatant violation” of INF, and that the US will not allow the “cavalier disregard” to continue. He says the US is reviewing a series of potential diplomatic and military options to be taken about it, and that not taking action is “untenable.”

The INF treaty issue has been ongoing for years, with the US objecting to a certain Russian test. Russia insists the missiles in no way violate INF, and there appears to have been little attempt to discuss the matter at all between the two countries, with the US just claiming violations in increasingly desperate terms, and threatening to take what would seem to be very reckless actions in response.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Does Mattis have any specifics to which he can refer when talking to the American people?!?!

Because in my world, particularly when you are dealing with a world power, as Russia is, you had better have some very specific reasons for making these accusations, or you will make yourself look like a laughing stock, and potentially find yourself on the receiving end of a world war.

How Globalists Plan To Use Technology And Poverty To Enslave The Masses

Tyranny is often seen as a sudden and inexplicable development in a society; the product of a singular despot that rockets to power for a limited window of time due to public fear or stupidity. This is one of the great lies of the modern era.

The truth is that for at least the past century almost every historically despised “tyrant” was merely a puppet of a larger managerial cabal, and the construction of each totalitarian state was accomplished slowly and quietly over the course of decades by those some financial elitists. From the Bolsheviks, to Hitler and the Third Reich, to Mao Zedong, to most tin-pot dictators across the Middle East and Africa, there has always been an organized group of money men and think tanks fueling the careers of the worst politicians and military juntas of the epoch.

As Fighting Escalates in Yemen’s Hodeidah, Risk of Famine GrowsUAE-backed forces escalate all-out offensive

Several months into the invasion of the Yemeni aid port of Hodeidah, the forces loyal to the United Arab Emirates have been escalating dramatically, looking to gain ground faster in an effort to seize the nation’s largest aid port.

Hodeidah is estimated to import food aid for about 70% of Yemen, and fighting has at this point effectively cut off traffic to an from the city. Promises by the Saudis for a humanitarian corridor haven’t been followed through on so far, and that means no one is getting food.

This has happened before in the Saudi-led war in Yemen, with Saudi naval blockades regularly cutting the nation off from food imports for weeks at a time. Fighting could drag on much longer, however, and that could mean mass starvation, particularly in northern Yemen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This... is precisely the objective of the B.O.Y. (a.k.a. the Butcher of Yemen, also known as Saudi Crown Prince Bin Salman), and one of his BFFs in the Middle East, the American Merchant of Death in Chief, President Trump.

They want to leave the port as in tact as humanly possible, in order to control it fully, and starve the Yemeni people into submission.

China Warns ‘Irresponsible’ US to Show Military Restraint

Already fuming at the US for having asked them to cancel annual military talks, which were supposed to be later this month, China is reacting angrily to reports that the US is planning a “global show of force” targeted at China in November.

Chinese state media warned that countermeasures would escalate if this show of force took place, and warned that the US military needs to exercise restraint instead of preparing major provocations against China.

The reports suggested that the US was going to ramp up military activities in November, in both the South China Sea and the area around Taiwan. This would involve the substantial deployment of US combat aircraft, as well as ground troops.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is an extraordinarily lousy idea on so many levels, I hardly know where to begin.

But let's say that such "freedom of navigation exercises" devolves into a hot war against China; do we really have enough reserves to spread them so thinly when it comes to our Naval resources?!?

I would suggest, not.

And remember; 4 November is the date by which President Trump has decreed that no country on earth can buy oil from Iran; 6 November is the date of mid-term elections in the US.

I would like to hope that, perhaps, this is more for domestic consumption than actually going to war against China or Iran, but perhaps being seen as "ready to rumble" on the part of the US government and military; but it is a scary gambit, and one which I wish the leadership of this country had not used, in either the case of China or Iran.

Israel Launches Internet “Command Center” to Monitor Social Media

Many social media users have no doubt noticed a massive, coordinated censorship campaign in recent months. Lawyer for Clinton campaign and DNC gave FBI documents for Russia probe, sources say

A top lawyer working with the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign contacted the FBI’s general counsel in late 2016 and provided documents for the Russia probe as federal investigators prepared a surveillance warrant for Trump campaign aide Carter Page, sources close to a congressional investigation told Fox News, citing new testimony.

The FBI official who was contacted, James Baker, revealed the exchange to congressional investigators during a closed-door deposition Wednesday. He said Perkins Coie lawyer Michael Sussmann initiated contact with him and provided documents as well as computer storage devices on Russian hacking. The sources said Baker described the contact as unusual and the “only time it happened.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF these charges are determined to be true, we could begin to see a great unraveling in DC.

But I am not holding my breath that anyone will be prosecuted, even if these charges prove true.

JOHN MCAFEE'S WARNING ABOUT THAT PRESIDENTIAL ALERT

The activists filed the suit last week in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, arguing that the system violates their free speech rights and constitutes an unconstitutional seizure of their electronic devices…

…Wireless phone users have the ability to opt out of most alerts sent under the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System, run by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. While some users can choose not to receive regional messages and so-called Amber Alerts regarding missing or endangered children, under federal rules, receipt of the top-level “presidential alerts“ is mandatory.

In the new lawsuit, J.B. Nicholas, Kristine Rakowsky and Liane Nikitovich contend that the system will effectively turn them into “government loudspeakers” that would allow Trump or others to disseminate propaganda. (source)

Webmaster's Commentary:

As this was just a maiden test of the system, we have to wonder in what context the system will be used; and that is where I hope that those governing remember that George Orwell's brilliant novel, "1984" was a cautionary tale, not a how-to primer.

NEWSScathing Report Accuses the Pentagon of Developing an Agricultural Bioweapon

A new technology in which insects are used to genetically modify crops could be converted into a dangerous, and possibly illegal, bioweapon, alleges a Science Policy Forum report released today. Naturally, the organization leading the research says it’s doing nothing of the sort.

The report is a response to a ongoing research program funded by the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Dubbed “Insect Allies,” the idea is to create more resilient crops to help farmers deal with climate change, drought, frost, floods, salinity, and disease. But instead of modifying seeds in a lab, farmers would send fleets of insects into their crops, where the genetically modified bugs would do their work, “infecting” the plants with a special virus that passes along the new resilience genes.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I know one country which would love to get their hands on this technology, if it is not working already on it; that would be Israel, to completely, and quickly wipe out all crops tended by the Palestinians, and leave them starving on the streets.

US SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR’S IDIOTIC IDEA FOR NAVAL BLOCKADE AGAINST RUSSIAN ENERGY SUPPLIES (VIDEO)

The Washington Examiner reported that US Internal Secretary Ryan Zinke said that the United States could use its Navy to prevent Russia’s potential energy supplies to the Middle East.

Zinke alleged that Russia’s engagement in Syria is in actuality a pretext to explore new energy markets.

“I believe the reason they are in the Middle East is they want to broker energy just like they do in eastern Europe, the southern belly of Europe,” Zinke reportedly said.

According to Zinke, a US blockade of Russian energy exports is a good way to deal with Russia’s energy distribution…

Webmaster's Commentary:

Such an act would immediately be construed as an act of war by Russia; apparently, Zinke playing his fantasy computer game in his head, called "Git Russia!) did not ever think this approach through at all.

RUDY GIULIANI’S $1.6 MILLION AMAZON ADVENTURE HAS BECOME AN ISSUE IN THE BRAZILIAN ELECTION

It’s the latest example of Giuliani traveling abroad to cash in on his tough-on-crime reputation from his days as New York City mayor, despite the fact that new research has increasingly discredited his signature implementation of the “broken windows” policing strategy.

Back home, Giuliani is defending president Donald Trump in a probe related to foreign interference in the 2016 U.S. elections, but his own ties to foreign governments, through lucrative contracts such as this one, have drawn scrutiny in Washington. Critics in multiple countries where Giuliani operates — including the U.S. — argue that his specialty is serving as a media diversion, rather than the job description written on his contracts.

MATTIS SAYS RUSSIAN GRU CAUGHT RED-HANDED HACKING OPCW, VOWS CYBER SUPPORT TO ALLIES

Russia is facing new multiple wide-ranging charges of hacking as Western officials on Wednesday alleged its intelligence agencies conducted four high profile cyber attacks, including an attempt to spy on the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), which is the independent body responsible for investigating chemical attacks in Syria and in the UK.

The OPCW is headquartered the Netherlands, and according to breaking reports a group that the Dutch government has alleged are Russian operatives may have been caught red-handed in the act.

Moscow has dismissed the charges as but more "Western spy mania" while leveling its own accusations that the Pentagon is conducting an illegal and dangerous germ and bio-weapons research program near Russia's borders.

The four suspects identified by Dutch officials had diplomatic passports and included two IT experts and two support agents, officials said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The timing of the leveling of these charges, coupled with the very clumsy way in which the evidence was left out for US, Dutch, and NATO operatives to find, and hurtle down the "J'accuse!" was just too cute.

And please remember this; this happened just 24 hours after Mattis had told NATO that he would give them the best of the US's spycraft, if they wanted and needed it.

Things appear to be moving, geopolitically, between Russia, NATO, and the US which is going to lead to war, unless someone mans up, and draws these geopolitical competitors away from the abyss of war. This article from SouthFront, datelined June of this year, demonstrating what NATO and the West's plans are for Ukraine, and what has been done to move that agenda along:

US Involvement in Ukraine: NATO expansion through proxy war

There is a chance, growing exponentially, that NATO and the US are planning to test Moscow with attacks on the breakaway republics, like Donbass, which do not want to submit again to Ukrainian control.

An article appearing in Tass just yesterday seems to confirm this, in a very jarring manner:

Kiev moving air defense systems to contact line in Donbass — Russian OSCE envoy

The timing of this move, I think, may well be gravely significant, and augur
badly for peace in the region.

Then, we have current developments in Syria, which require serious consideration and attention.

This morning, courtesy of blacklistednews.com, we have the following headline:

US Sends Marines into Eastern Syria to join major battle. The article goes on to state:

"US Marines are now being sent into the area to join the ground offensive. Previously, the US was offering only air support. This is the first ground troop deployment of this latest military push.

So we now have documented evidence of US boots on the ground in Syria; it is only a matter of time before we have Russian and Syrian troops tangling with US troops, and there appears to be no deconfliction area for where these troops are fighting.

So, we have one potential theatre of war in and around Ukraine, with the other in Syria, where Israel has vowed to strike again against any Iranian units on the ground might be, in spite of Russia having installed their truly capable S-300 defensive system for the Syrians.

What could possibly go wrong?!?

Bloody everything!!!
