POLICE CALLED TO ESCORT PRO-ISRAEL ACTIVISTS FROM UC IRVINE CAMPUS EVENT

A group of IDF reservists had to be escorted out of a Students Supporting Israel speaking event by police following a large protest by pro-Palestinian students at the University of California, Irvine, last week.

The army veterans were visiting the campus as part of Project Gideon – an initiative of Reservists on Duty, an anti-BDS group in Israel in collaboration with the Lone Soldier Center – which enlists American IDF reservists to fight against BDS on university and college campuses across North America.

Email UCI Chancellor Gilman to tell them - protect your students, not Israeli soldiers on campus!

For four straight days this past May, a group of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers called “Reservists On Duty” harassed University of California, Irvine (UCI) students at their mock apartheid wall. The IDF soldiers surveilled, disrupted, and physically assaulted Palestinian members of UCI SJP, along with their Latinx, Black, Native and Jewish allies.

This occurred in full view of administrators who took no action to protect students from foreign military agents. When students complained, they were told that nothing could be done.

Why Does the Chicago Public School System Have $9 Billion in Debt With Only 381,000 Students ?

Chicago Public Schools will look to borrow $900 million in the coming weeks — adding to the district’s $9 billion debt — but it remains unclear if anyone will actually give them all the money.

The loans are $500 million more than what Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s office announced last week when a financial rescue plan was outlined. That’s because the district is looking for loans not only to get through this school year, but also to start off next year with a financial cushion.

District officials told board members Wednesday that the district would likely “just run out of money” if it didn’t take out these loans.

Teen banned from graduation 'not because she is pregnant but because she was immoral'

A small Christian school in western Maryland is not backing down from its decision to ban a pregnant senior from walking at graduation next week.

Despite a public outcry and growing pressure from national antiabortion groups to reconsider, Heritage Academy in Hagerstown, Maryland, says that senior Maddi Runkles broke the school's rules by engaging in intimate sexual activity.

In a letter to parents Tuesday evening, school principal David Hobbs said that Runkles is being disciplined, "not because she is pregnant but because she was immoral. ... The best way to love her right now is to hold her accountable for her morality that began this situation."

16-Year-Old Commits Suicide After School Cop Threatens Him with Child Porn Charges

It took school and police officials just a few minutes to extinguish 16-year-old Corey Walgren's promising future. All they did was utter two words: child pornography.

Corey, a junior at Naperville North High School in Naperville, Illinois, was a perfectly normal, social, good-looking 16-year-old. He was an honor roll student with dreams of attending a Big Ten college. He had typical interests for a teenager boy: hockey, fishing, and, yes, girls.

Corey committed suicide in January, just hours after a school resource officer confronted him about an alleged illegal item on his cell phone—a recording of Corey having sex with a female classmate. The girl had informed a dean at the school that she believed Corey had played the recording for his friends (it's not clear whether he did), which prompted the authorities to summon Corey to the principal's office. They called his mother and told both of them that Corey was being investigated for possession of child pornography.

Thirteen Reasons Why: America’s High Schools Are Creating (Another) Lost Generation

Netflix’s recent announcement that it would be producing a second season of Thirteen Reasons Why has raised new questions about the disastrous state of the US public school system and its effects on the economy.

The Thirteen Reasons’ portrait of how a stifling, bureaucratic system progressively cuts this teenage girl to pieces, eventually driving her to death, provides a dramatized, insightful reflection on (another) emerging lost generation.

What if Harry Potter Is Real?

his course will engage students with questions about the very nature of history. Who decides what history is? Who decides how it is used or mis-used? How does this use or misuse affect us? How can the historical imagination inform literature and fantasy? How can fantasy reshape how we look at history? The Harry Potter novels and films are fertile ground for exploring all of these deeper questions. By looking at the actual geography of the novels, real and imagined historical events portrayed in the novels, the reactions of scholars in all the social sciences to the novels, and the world-wide frenzy inspired by them, students will examine issues of race, class, gender, time, place, the uses of space and movement, the role of multiculturalism in history as well as how to read a novel and how to read scholarly essays to get the most out of them.

Segregated: White Students Banned From Student Lounge At D.C. University: “Nothing More Important Than Being A Multicultural Campus”

For over half a century Americans have enjoyed equal protection under the law, regardless of the color of their skin. These were rights that countless citizens of all colors fought for since long before the civil war.

We have made leaps and bounds in the way of creating a society that respects the religious and cultural backgrounds of all of our citizens.

We even elected a President of African American descent, something that would not have been possible without the support of voters of all colors and creeds.

Yet, it appears that all of that “progress” has led to this…

"It's Absurd" - 6 Baltimore Schools Have Zero Students Proficient In State Math, English Tests

Baltimore schools spend a staggering $16,00 per student - the fourth-highest rate in the nation - and still an investigation by Fox45's Project Baltimore revealed that at six city schools, not one student scored proficient on either the statewide tests for English and math.

At West Baltimore's Frederick Douglass High, one of five high schools and one middle school where not one student scored a four or a five on the state test, only one out of 185 students who took the test last year scored a three, while 165 students scored a one, the lowest possible score.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The only conclusion to which I can come, looking at these numbers, is that the dumbing down of American urban kids continues apace; and there is part of me that wonders how deliberate that is.

Because when kids are illiterate and innumerate, and cannot function, they have to become dependents of the state, for food, housing, and welfare.

People like this will never have an independent thought in their lives, and are easily manipulated to swallow and regurgitate anything the State tells them, no matter how logically absurd.

Anyone who ever saw the film "Stand and Deliver", based on a true-life story, where a high school math teacher in an urban high school, pushed his kids to be the best in math, and enter a competition, and go on to work at very high levels in math, understands how Baltimore's schools are failing their students.

Parents should be voting with their feet, and get their kids out of that city, and school district, and ASAP, if they have any aspirations of their kids achieving and accomplishing anything in their lives.

US News Desperate Parents Pull Children Out of School Over Fears of MS-13 Gang

Schools have become the crucible for intimidation and recruitment into the Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13, gang on Long Island and around the country.

One Long Island mother, who wanted to remain anonymous for fear of reprisal from MS-13, said she and several other parents have taken their teenagers out of the local high school because they’ve become targets of the gang. Some children are being homeschooled and, in a few extreme cases, sent to stay with relatives out of the state.

“I am scared to death,” the mother said. “It’s a crapshoot. I feel like we’re rolling the dice here, and it shouldn’t be like this.”

Parents and children in Brentwood and Central Islip barely had time to comprehend the shocking murders of two teenage girls last September before four young men were found killed last month.

All six victims had been brutally murdered with baseball bats and machetes—the modus operandi of the MS-13 gang, which has proliferated in the area in recent years.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is a nasty situation for parents who want to see their kids achieve and excel in school; not get killed by a gang member

My sympathy is absolutely with them on this issue.

And in light of the fact that the city, county, state are impotent to correct the problem, taking their kids out of school and literally out of state may be the best option for them right now.

Segregated: White Students Banned From Student Lounge At D.C. University: “Nothing More Important Than Being A Multicultural Campus”

As tolerance spreads across the United States, universities and their progressive student bodies are coming up with new and innovative ways to ensure a positive multi-cultural experience for everyone… unless you happen to be a Caucasian.

At the American University in Washington, D.C., which is home to about 13,000 of our best and brightest, administrators and student activists have determined that the best way to ensure a a fair and equal environment is to ban all white people from their new student lounge. The meeting area, ironically named “The Bridge,” opened a couple of months ago as a place for people to gather, study and even sing on open mic nights.

But shortly after its opening, the following sign, apparently with the blessing of school administrators, appeared around campus. It designates the new lounge as a safe space and sanctuary for people of color.

In short: No Whites Allowed.

Sheer Lunacy on Campus

Americans who see themselves as either liberal or conservative should rise up against this totalitarian trend on America’s college campuses. I believe the most effective way to do so is to hit these campus tyrants where it hurts the most — in the pocketbook. Lawmakers should slash budgets, and donors should keep their money in their pockets.

Sheer Lunacy on Campus

To reduce angst among snowflakes in its student body, the University of California, Hastings College of the Law has added a “Chill Zone.” The Chill Zone, located in its library, has, just as most nursery schools have, mats for naps and beanbag chairs. Before or after a snooze, students can also use the space to do a bit of yoga or meditate. The University of Michigan Law School helped its students weather their Trump derangement syndrome — a condition resulting from Donald Trump’s election — by enlisting the services of an “embedded psychologist” in a room full of bubbles and play dough. To reduce pressure on law students, Joshua M. Silverstein, a law professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, thinks that “every American law school ought to substantially eliminate C grades and set its good academic standing grade point average at the B- level.”

US Navy runs into snags with aircraft carrier's electric plane-slingshot

Trump has been doing his homework!

The US Navy is having difficulties with its latest aircraft carrier's Electromagnetic Aircraft Launching System (EMALS) – the same system which the UK mooted fitting to its new Queen Elizabeth-class carriers.

The US Department of Operational Test and Evaluation (DOTE) revealed yesterday, in its end-of-year report [PDF] for financial year 2016, that the EMALS fitted to the new nuclear-powered carrier USS Gerald R. Ford put "excessive airframe stress" on aircraft being launched.

This stress "will preclude the Navy from conducting normal operations of the F/A-18A-F and EA-18G from CVN 78", according to DOTES, which said the problem had first been noticed in 2014.

In addition, EMALS could not "readily" be electrically isolated for maintenance, which DOTE warned "will preclude some types of EMALS and AAG (Advanced Arresting Gear) maintenance during flight operations", decreasing their operational availability.

Texas A&M Professor says white people may have to be killed

Tommy Curry is a professor at Texas A&M. Curry teaches “Radical Black Philosophies” and “Social and Political Philosophy.” He advocates “Critical Race Theory.” This is a black nationalist version of Marxist Critical Theory.

Among other things, Curry says that black people should talk openly about murdering white people. In a youtube interview, he says that the murder of white people may be necessary for “black liberation.” Further, he suggests that white people need to fear blacks so much that they believe “death could come for them at any moment.”

Currently, interracial murders in the USA involving blacks and whites are extremely one-sided. Most are black against white as it is. What Curry seems to be talking about is a planned mass murder on a large-scale. Curry is highly active on youtube and has many other anti-white diatribes.

HOW HIGHER EDUCATION BECAME AN OBSCENELY PROFITABLE RACKET THAT ENRICHES THE FEW AT THE EXPENSE OF THE MANY (STUDENT DEBT-SERFS)

Student loan lenders are skimming tens of billions in profits guaranteed by the taxpayers.

"Legal" rackets have two essential components: a public-relations "cover" that obscures the racket and the mechanism that extracts the wealth from the "marks." The Higher Education Racket qualifies on both counts:

1. The PR cover is "you all need a college diploma, and we're here to make that happen." Yea for more education!

2. The extraction mechanism is student loans. Here's a chart that shows what happened relatively recently: your federal government began guaranteeing obscene profits to student-loan lenders and debt-serfdom for tens of millions of "marks" i.e. students.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Here's a list of some of the highest paying jobs in this country which do not require a bachelor's degree:

35 high paying jobs which don't require a bachelor's degree

I was very lucky concerning college; I had a double major in music (I am a published composer) and theatre (I do marketing for a living).

But before you go to college and pick a major, you really need to ask yourself, am I getting the "bang" for my buck in terms of that degree really making me employable?!? This is both a hard and necessary question kids need to ask before settling on a major in college.

And some degrees are absolutely useless, in terms of the real world, so when you talk to, and interview, some of the college staff, be ready to ask them: how many graduates can you confirm have received jobs in this field?!?

If they stumble, and stammer, that is the moment to thank them for their time, and walk out the door.

SCHOOL BANS UNVACCINATED KIDS AFTER IMMUNIZED CHILDREN START CHICKENPOX OUTBREAK

Close to one-quarter of students at a California elementary school have been directed by school officials to stay home for three weeks due to a small onset of chickenpox cases that began in March.

The chickenpox outbreak at Mariposa School of Global Education in Augora Hills, California is unique because the first case of chickenpox discovered at the school was found in a student who had been fully vaccinated.

Daniel Stepenosky, the superintendent of Las Virgenes Unified School District that includes the Mariposa School, acknowledged to CBS Los Angeles that three students were found to have chickenpox. “A kindergartner, a first-grader, a third-grader. The first case happened around mid-March. The student was immunized, however still contracted chickenpox.”

According to local newspaper The Acorn, Stepenosky noted that “(It’s) interesting . . . the first of three cases was a student that was fully immunized. . . . He was the vaccinated one.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

And I would almost bet real money that the one question which will NOT be asked here is, did the unvaccinated kids have chickenpox (which the article does not state) or did the chicken pox vaccine act in such a way that the vaccinated kids wound up with chicken pox anyway?!?

That is the "avoid the question at all costs" question which should have been asked here, and wasn't.

The school superintendent Dr. Martin Foster was quick to respond, noting the incident would be investigated, saying, “This was an incredibly disrespectful act that does not reflect the values of Roosevelt High School or the school district.”

Middle School Student Suspended For ‘Liking’ Gun Photo

A middle school student at Edgewood Middle School in Trenton, Ohio was suspended for 10 days for the simple act of ‘liking’ a photo of a gun on Instagram.

We repeat – the child ‘liked’ a photo of a gun.

The image of an airsoft gun had the caption “Ready,” which the school apparently interpreted as meaning the student was ‘ready’ to use it.

North Korea Arrests Another US Citizen, Threatens To Nuke White House And Destroy "Murderous American Ogres"

Exactly two weeks after North Korea arrested Tony Kim, a Korean-American professor in his 50s at Pyongyang International Airport as he was leaving North Korea, Kim Jong-Un has again provoked the US and overnight North Korea detained another U.S. citizen tied to the Christian-backed university in Pyongyang. According to the report issued on Sunday by North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency, Kim Hak-song was arrested for committing “hostile acts”, and works for the Pyongyang University of Science and Technology (PUST), a university founded in 2010 by James Kim, a Korean-American Christian businessman.

"A relevant institution of the DPRK detained American citizen Kim Hak Song on May 6 under a law of the DPRK on suspension of his hostile acts against it,"KCNA said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I frankly don't think President Trump is going to really act here, unless Kim Jung Un does something spectacularly idiotic, like test a nuclear weapon, or missile yet again.

I am sure that Kim Jung Un wants to see the "Sunshine Candidate" elected this coming Tuesday in South Korea's Presidential election, and would be singularly unwilling to launch anything which might compromise the election's outcome against him.

Things Are Not What They Seem

Iain McGilchrist @ Schumacher College

Uploaded on May 23, 2011*Dr Iain McGilchrist*, author of "The Master and his Emissary: The Divided Brain and The Making of the Western World", puts our society on the couch. He suggests that the bipartite structure of the brain helps us to understand why the world so often seems paradoxical, and why we so often end up achieving the opposite of what we intend.

US Student, Auto Loans Hit New All Time High Of $2.6 Trillion

One month after we, and every other financial media, reported that US credit card debt had risen back over $1 trillion for the first time since January 2017, the Fed demonstrated just how meaningless such reports are when in its latest consumer credit report it revised the total stock of revolving debt back under $1 trillion for the month of March, while boosting December's amount to $1,000.1 billion, meaning that all those "$1 trillion in credit card" debt headlines were about 4 months late.

The Controlled Demolition of the Independent Media - thecrowhouse

" Oh, if only it were possible to find understanding,” Joseph exclaimed. “If only there were a dogma to believe in. Everything is contradictory, everything tangential; there are no certainties anywhere. Everything can be interpreted one way and then again interpreted in the opposite sense. The whole of world history can be explained as development and progress and can also be seen as nothing but decadence and meaninglessness. Isn’t there any truth? Is there no real and valid doctrine?”

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH OUR WORLD? THIS IS A FILM FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO KNOW."

Every meaningful change starts with awareness. In our culture, we not only praise psychopaths in the highest positions of power, but in many cases, they became our role models. Challenge your beliefs! We have delved into the world of psychopaths and heroes and revealed something crucial about us.

THE STUDENT SERVITUDE SHAM

Many today strongly believe it is morally wrong to indenture students to the degree of liabilities presently required to achieve the education required to become a productive contributor within our modern society.

The question we need to demand answers to is why has college costs for students exploded upward, while salaries and job positions for graduates has not? What is driving the relentless and inexplicable surge in the debt burden for students and their parents?
