Terms 'Christmas' and 'Thanksgiving' banned at school

A Brooklyn principal is generating controversy for her removal of certain traditions at her school.

The New York Post reports that Eujin Kim of PS 169 has put an end to recitations of the Pledge of Allegiance as well as references to Santa Claus, Christmas, and Thanksgiving.

In fact, the latter terms are being broadly referred to as "winter celebrations" and the "harvest festival," respectively.

How would your life change if you never had to pay rent or interest on a mortgage again? I bet it would take a significant weight off your shoulders. It sure would for me.

You’re not alone, in fact today most people in “civilized” parts of the world don’t own their homes but are indebted to banks or rent from a landlord. But it has not always been this way, as Henry David Thoreau so truthfully writes in his book Walden:

Trump Confronted On Dancing JEWISH ISRAELIS, Not Muslims

Trump's Secret Service Agent Says "Let's Not Get Everyone Riled Up Okay?" I actually pulled off getting a FRONT ROW SEAT, ten feet away from him, at Donald Trump's forum yesterday at the University of South Carolina with the State Attorney General. It was not easy to do, but it can be done. I encourage everyone to do the same, and to learn from my mistakes. I agree with most of what Trump says, for example about guns, the border, Obamacare, etc. I'm not a big supporter of interrupting people's speech, so I chose not to do that. Plus, as I explain, it would have been immediately drowned out as the Trump team told the crowd to do in case of disruptions. Instead, I had a chance to talk to Donald personally afterwards, when he went around to shake hands and sign autographs. I asked him about the undue influence of the Israeli lobby.

It means to get f--ked up with a goyah; this is something neither you or me want," one female Israeli tv program announcer proclaims, while she wears a bikini and performs a mock crucifixion of her muppet co-host. Dr. Duke suggests that Christians speak to their family and friends about these matters. "Don't blame the ones you love for their views. Just be kind to them and patient with them, and show them what they've not been allowed to see. Eventually they'll open their eyes and their hearts and see the truth," he says.

Kid Terrorists? Fifth Graders Accused of Plotting to Blow up a High School

The original story has been updated on this to now say it was four kids, even though the html link still says five, and within the same updated local news story a few paragraphs later it still references five kids even through the headline now says four.

Other outlets are reporting this incident involved four girls and a boy, while WABC claims it's four boys and a girl. Other outlets say two of them were girls. Now it's only four kids total.

The details below have been left intact from the first mainstream media reporting of the incident, but it's changing every other few minutes depending on what outlet you reference. Bob Altemeyer's - The Authoritarians

OK, what’s this book about? It’s about what’s happened to the American government lately. It’s about the disastrous decisions that government has made. It’s about the corruption that rotted the Congress. It’s about how traditional conservatism has nearly been destroyed by authoritarianism. It’s about how the “Religious Right” teamed up with amoral authoritarian leaders to push its un-democratic agenda onto the country. It’s about the United States standing at the crossroads as the next federal election approaches.

“Well,” you might be thinking, “I don’t believe any of this is true.” Or maybe, you’re thinking, “What else is new? I’ve believed this for years.” Why should a conservative, moderate, or liberal bother with this book? Why should any Republican, Independent, or Democrat click the “Whole Book” link on this page?

Created Wednesday after a protest sympathetic to Black Lives Matter, the page declared itself "for white students of University of Illinois to be able to form a community and discuss our own issues as well as be able to organize against the terrorism we have been facing from Black Lives Matter activists on campus," as the Daily Illini reported.

Don't let that cop search your car! The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 1998 That A Traffic Stop Doesnt Authorize a Vehicle Search

I saw it recently at a taco place. This woman in the photos was pulled over by a CHP officer, who started immediately rummaging through the woman's vehicle while she obediently stood at the cops car and watched. In the photo to the right, you can see the officer's boot as the rest of his body is inside the car, with him rummaging through the woman's back seat. Later, he digs through her purse on the hood of his car as she stands there and watches. This woman should not have consented, and neither should you. The U.S. Supreme Court has already addressed this issue, In Knowles v. Iowa, (1998), ruling " "the need to discover and preserve evidence does not exist in a traffic stop, for once Knowles was stopped for speeding and issued a citation, all evidence necessary to prosecute that offense had been obtained"

Texas Board of Education rejects plan to have academics fact-check their textbooks

Texas' State Board of Education on Wednesday narrowly rejected a plan to create a group of state university professors to scour Texas schoolchildren's textbooks for factual errors.

The push for more experts to be involved came after more than a year of controversy over board-sanctioned books' coverage of global warming, descriptions of Islamic history and terrorism and handling of the Civil War and the importance of Moses and the Ten Commandments to the Founding Fathers.

A tipping point to add more fact checking may have come last month. A suburban Houston mom's alert that a newly approved geography text described African slaves forcibly brought to North America as "workers" set off a national furor.

The Greatest Threat to Campus Free Speech is Coming From Dianne Feinstein and her Military-Contractor Husband

There is no shortage of American pundits who love to denounce “PC” speech codes that restrict and punish the expression of certain ideas on college campuses. What these self-styled campus-free-speech crusaders typically — and quite tellingly — fail to mention is that the most potent such campaigns are often devoted to outlawing or otherwise punishing criticisms of Israel. The firing by the University of Illinois of Professor Steven Salatia for his “uncivil” denunciations of the Israeli war on Gaza — a termination that was privately condoned by Illinois Democratic Senator Dick Durbin — is merely illustrative of this long–growing trend.

The team also secured 44 new signatories for our petition at AE911Truth.org demanding a new investigation into the destruction of all 3 World Trade Center skyscrapers on 9/11.
