Less Than Half of California Students Passed New Common Core Standards

Less than half of all California students passed new math and English tests aligned with the Common Core standards and considered indicators of college and career readiness, according to results released Wednesday.

Forty-four percent of students in third through eighth and 11th grades met or exceeded the new language-arts assessment, while 34 percent passed the math test. Though state education officials cautioned against drawing comparisons with previous standardized tests, the results reflect long-standing achievement gaps between low-income and affluent students.

Dr. Henry Makow & Daryl Bradford Smith Expose Truth About Feminism, Zionism & the New World Order

In this classic interview conducted on 10/06/2005, Daryl Bradford Smith interviews Dr. Henry Makow. They discuss how "feminism has destroyed cohesion between men and women," that we were led in this direction by intent- the powers that be sought to emasculate men, effeminate them, and destruct the fabric of society and the family. The two note the "androgynous feminization of men and the masculinization of women." The important thing, they note, is to understand why- to destabilize society, undermine our sense of right and wrong, and destroy the male leadership, what is right for our families. Dr. Makow notes "men are empowered by women- I don't have to tell you how empowering it is when your wife will actually do what you tell them to do..." They discuss at length the criminal Zionist hands behind feminism and the destruction of our culture; the false flags of 9/11, and much more. This informative and entertaining episode is highly recommended.

"DESPERATE" CHICAGO SCHOOLS NEED HALF BILLION TO AVOID MASS LAYOFFS, PARTIAL SHUTDOWN

Chicago Public Schools—with 394,000 students and nearly 21,000 teachers—has closed more than half of a projected $1.1 billion shortfall through cuts, borrowing and other means, but is looking to the state to come up with the rest. The school board warns of deep cuts later this year if Illinois, which faces its own fiscal crisis, doesn’t deliver an additional $480 million in the coming months, representing roughly 8% of annual district spending.

“It is like the board is a desperate gambler at the end of their run,” said Jesse Sharkey, vice president of the Chicago Teachers Union, in a recent speech.

“We are really now at a point where further cuts would reach deep into the classroom,” said Forrest Claypool, who was named chief executive of the city schools in July.

Native American Student ‘Not Expelled' In Genocide Argument

Sacramento State University said Monday a student who firmly disputed a history professor’s interpretation of genocide was not expelled from the course for her conduct as initially reported. History professor Maury Wiseman ended class early Friday after Native-American student Chiitaanibah Johnson allegedly hijacked the class by presenting her argument for why genocide is an apt description of what happened to native people at the hands of European colonizers and their descendants.

“The university would like to make it clear that our student, Chiitaanibah Johnson, was not expelled or disenrolled from this history course. Under university policy, a professor cannot unilaterally disenroll a student from a class,” said a statement released Monday by President Robert S. Nelsen, who said he is investigating what happened before taking any action.

Christians warned to pull kids from public school

Imagine an America in which all children are educated according to biblical, Christian principles instead of modern, secular, liberal values.

Chaplain E. Ray Moore (Lt. Col. USAR Ret.), such a scenario is not just possible, but essential if Christians wish to reclaim the American culture.

“We take the position at the Exodus Mandate that the Scripture and sound theology teach that the education of children belongs to the family and the church or private associations, not government,” said Moore, the founder and president of Frontline Ministries, Inc. and director of the Exodus Mandate Project. “We don’t believe that government, even at the state level, has any role in K-12 education, and the Scriptures are clear and explicit on this. There’s no wiggle room.”

How the Billionaire Kingpins of School Privatization Got Stopped in Their Own Back Yard

The debate over public schools in Arkansas has been, for decades, ongoing and often fraught. In 1957, the Arkansas school year began with white mobs viciously attacking nine black teenagers as they attempted to desegregate Little Rock's Central High following Brown vs. Board of Education, shining a national spotlight on the state and forcing President Eisenhower to send in the 101st Airborne Division.

‘Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death’: The Loss of Our Freedoms in the Wake of 9/11

snip: We can pretend that the Constitution, which was written to hold the government accountable, is still our governing document. However, the reality we must come to terms with is that in the America we live in today, the government does whatever it wants, freedom be damned, and “we the people” are seen as little more than cattle to be branded and eventually led to the slaughterhouse.

Consider the state of our freedoms, and judge for yourself whether Osama Bin Laden was right when he warned that “freedom and human rights in America are doomed,” and that the “U.S. government will lead the American people in — and the West in general — into an unbearable hell and a choking life.”

Deleting American History: Under New Standards, “U.S. Constitution Simply Ignored by Teachers”

“The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history. […] He who controls the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past.” – George Orwell, 1984

The powers that be are interested in control, not in freedom. That much is understood.

As such, American history – as ugly and bloody as it has been – cannot be told. Knowledge about the U.S. Constitution, the critical Bill of Rights and the revolution for independence are inconvenient facts to the new social engineering.

Not Every Kid Deserves a Prize

I recently overheard a waiting-room conversation between two mothers. One complained her son wasn't allowed on a field trip reserved "unfairly" for high-achievers. She admitted her son had made little effort to earn his spot, but in her eyes, it was unreasonable to reward some kids and not others. The second mother was upset because her son had received a failing grade for repeatedly falling asleep in class. "It's not fair," she said. "He turned in most of his homework assignments."

Let me see if I've got this right: Kids who don't try should get the same benefits as those who do? And completing most of the assignments should discount that sleeping-in-class thing? Are we so obsessed with fairness that we raise children to believe everyone should be treated the same, regardless of effort or skill?

The West Point Professor Who Contemplated a Coup

On Monday, West Point law professor William C. Bradford resigned after The Guardian reported that he had allegedly inflated his academic credentials. Bradford made headlines last week, when the editors of the National Security Law Journal denounced a controversial article by him in their own summer issue:

As the incoming Editorial Board, we want to address concerns regarding Mr. Bradford’s contention that some scholars in legal academia could be considered as constituting a fifth column in the war against terror; his interpretation is that those scholars could be targeted as unlawful combatants. The substance of Mr. Bradford’s article cannot fairly be considered apart from the egregious breach of professional decorum that it exhibits. We cannot “unpublish” it, of course, but we can and do acknowledge that the article was not presentable for publication when we published it, and that we therefore repudiate it with sincere apologies to our readers.

SOUTH DAKOTA DROPS TEACHING HIGH SCHOOLERS ABOUT AMERICAN REVOLUTION, FOUNDING DOCUMENTS

??North Dakota students may or may not learn about the first 100 years of America’s history.
Important topics like the Declaration of Independence, the Revolutionary War and the framing of the U.S. Constitution may simply be ignored by teachers under new history standards approved by the state’s board of education last Monday, the Argus Leader reports.

Current standards do not allow history teachers to delve into topics before the Civil War, so the new standards open up the door but don’t require teachers to cover early American history, as many would have preferred. The recently adopted history standards are set to take effect in 2016-17 school year and whittle the current standards from 117 pages to 44.

“Our current history standards do not even give an option as to whether it’s comprehensive or modern,” board president Don Kirkegaard told the news site. “It’s strictly modern.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is insane, and an insult to our history; it means that the reasons our country was founded just won't be taught, just in case these students might want to look at the situations in British government at that time, and compare it to the situations we see in US government today.

Heaven forbid that they should indulge in such a thing, and might be able to use critical thinking to come to a logical conclusion here!!

This Map Shows How Many More Students Are Living In Poverty Than 9 Years Ago

Students in America’s schools are much, much poorer than they were nine years ago.

In 2006, 31 percent of America’s students attended schools in “high-poverty” districts, meaning that 20 percent or more of the district's students lived below the federal poverty line. By 2013, however, this number jumped to over 49 percent, according to an analysis of U.S. Census estimates from the nonprofit EdBuild. This means that nearly half of the nation’s children between the ages of 5 and 17 attend schools in communities where a large chunk of families are struggling to get by.

Nebraska Teachers Sign Pledge Promising To Propagandize Students

Hastings School District in Nebraska recently caught the attention of the ACLU by forcing teachers to sign a pledge promising to propagandize children with nationalistic propaganda.
The pledge demanded that teachers mold students to have “love and devotion” for the U.S. government, giving a glimpse into the true motive of government education.

The issue was quickly noticed by the ACLU, which deemed the policy unconstitutional and demanded the school district stop forcing the teachers to make such a promise.
“You need to know that the statute is a dead letter law which has been clearly overruled by the highest court in the land. Attempting to enforce the state statute is unconstitutional and will expose the school district to liability to a civil rights lawsuit,” the ACLU said in a statement last week.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to wonder; in the state of Nebraska, does molding kids to have "...love and devotion for the US government..." mean never have any disagreements with the policy of that government, even when those policies are pig-headedly, ham-fistedly not in the best interests of the American people?!?

Is that "love and devotion" supposed to be complete and unquestioning, even when the wars in which our American kids fight, die, or come home maimed for life, are ultimately for private profit, as we well know they are?!?

It would appear here that the state of Nebraska is trying to inculcate blind obedience to the State, to the complete disfavor of logical, critical thinking.

Were I a parent in Nebraska, understanding this, I would be hauling my kid out of the public school there so fast that the principal's head would be spinning around faster than did Linda Blair's in "The Exorcist".

Biggest Gay Lobby Group in America Urges Schools to Ban Words ‘Boy’ and ‘Girl’

The biggest gay rights lobby group in the United States has called on schools to eliminate “gender stereotypes” by training staff to avoid using the words “boy” and “girl” in class.

A new back to school guide published by the Human Rights Campaign designed to make classrooms “gender inclusive” urges teachers to “avoid using gender to divide and address students” so as to prevent any transgender students from becoming upset.

“Instead of addressing your class using “boys” and “girls,” try something new. Words like “friends,” “students” or “scholars” allow all students to feel included, expand student vocabulary and model inclusive language and behavior for other students and teachers,” states the guide.

Asking students to identify as male or female on paperwork is also vehemently discouraged, with the guide encouraging schools to, “consider adding a third write-in option for those who have non-binary gender identities.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Let's stop using the word "human" as that discriminates against our furry friends, and it's been a long time since we acted human anyway! :)

SCHOOL OFFICIALS USED YOUNG GIRL AS “BAIT” IN RAPE STING, SHE WAS RAPED AND THEY COVERED IT UP

In 2010, a 14-year-old Huntsville girl was approached by school officials who wanted to use her as bait in a “sting operation.” The plan was to use the young girl to catch a boy in the act who’d been accused of sexually harassing students. However, their asinine plan backfired, and this innocent young girl was anally raped by the older student. The plan was for the girl not to do anything and teachers would burst in and catch the boy with a girl in the bathroom, but the boy changed bathroom locations. The girl, known in court records as BHJ, was not found by the incompetent school officials until after the student raped her.

Former President Bill Clinton collected more than $16 million from 2010 to 2014 as honorary chancellor of Laureate Education, a for-profit company that runs 80 education institutions around the globe, according to recently released tax returns. Four of its six U.S. colleges were flagged on the Education Department’s list of schools whose access to federal financial aid was being monitored out of concern over financial irresponsibility.

WHAT EVERY PARENT SHOULD KNOW: HOW SMARTPHONES DESTROY CHILDREN'S BRAIN

Over 2 billion people now own smartphones and use their devices on a daily basis. Recent studies find that an average person checks their screen 150 times a day. In the Western world, 56 percent of children between the ages of 10 to 13, own a smartphone. While that fact alone may come as a shock, it is estimated that 25 percent of children between the ages of 2 and 5 have a smartphone. Everyone has seen it, and maybe you're even guilty of it yourself! You're dining at a restaurant when you see a family with young children. The children are quiet, but it's not because they're eating or they're listening to their parents. It's because their eyes are glued to some sort of electronic device.

In the past, parents have put very little thought into how their children would be educated, and many of them have thoughtlessly put their trust in government schooling.
