'I have been hit, kicked and restrained from behind - by FIRST-GRADERS': At least 45 Pennsylvania teachers resign in just three months due to student violence and those that remain are 'begging' for help from school board

Dozens of teachers have quit their jobs in Pennsylvania's capital city amid a wave of violence from students as early as the first grade, it has emerged.
The Harrisburg Education Association (HEA) said that at least 45 teachers resigned between July and October, and more have followed since. Those who remain are now demanding more help from administrators.
'I have been kicked, punched, hit, scratched. I've had a student physically restraining me in front of my other students,' first-grade teacher Amanda Shaeffer told board members, according to Penn Live.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF, in fact, these charges are true (and I would tend to believe they are), where the hell are the parents of these children, and why do they believe that their kids' behaviour is acceptable, for a second?!?

Why has this bullying of teachers (and most probably other kids) become the "new normal" in America's schools?!?

Social Justice Warriors Attack Classic Steve Martin SNL Skit as Racist

It looks like the social justice warriors are angry at Steve Martin again, this time for a classic skit he was part of for Saturday Night Live … nearly 40 years ago.

Martin released a song in 1978 called ‘King Tut’ and performed a rendition during a live performance for the April 22, 1978, episode of Saturday Night Live.

The tune was a hit, with the comedian’s homage to the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun selling over 1 million copies, even reaching number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Why? Because it was a silly, funny song, when, accompanied by the physical comedy of Martin, was an absolute blast for audiences at the time.

Students attending Reed College in Portland, Oregon, however, saw the SNL skit and became immediately triggered. Martin had, in their eyes, engaged in ‘cultural appropriation.’

SCHOOLS ARE BANNING BEST FRIENDS TO PROTECT STUDENTS’ FEELINGS

Members of the royal family aren’t often told what they can and can’t do. But just a few days into his first year of school, 4-year-old Prince George already faces a mandate: No best friends allowed. Thomas’s Battersea, the school George attends, bans kids from having best friends,Marie Claire reports. Instead, teachers encourage all students to form bonds with one another to avoid creating feelings of exclusions among those without best friends.

The 8 U.S. Cities With the Most Expensive Universities

Aside from buying a house, paying for college is one of the biggest expenses most people will have in their lives. Whether you pay for it out of pocket or take out a student loan or other financial aid, going to college is expensive. Among the cost of tuition, paying for room and board, and spending hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars on textbooks, nothing comes cheap once you step on campus.

Why this Oregon teen is facing federal drug charges for a gram of pot

Devontre Thomas is likely facing federal charges because the alleged possession took place at the Chemawa Indian School, which is run by the federal Bureau of Indian Education.

Devontre Thomas, 19, recently graduated from Chemawa Indian School in Salem and is heading to college this fall. But first, he’ll have to take a trip to the federal courthouse in Portland to fight the charge, stemming from an incident in March 2015.

Still, many are calling it a federal overreach, given the minuscule amount of marijuana involved in Thomas’s case — enough for one or two typical joints.

How to make a Cheap and Simple Steam Engine

The Idea:
Recently I saw a video of a remote controlled boat powered by a miniature steam engine and was instantly hooked on the idea. After doing a bit of research I found miniature steam engines cost hundreds of dollars or require some very advanced skills and tools to build. Yet looking at the actual mechanism which allows them to run they are really quite simple so I decided to try and make one on the cheap.

The point of this project was really to see how cheaply and easily a miniature steam engine could be built. I built this engine in one day and for under $10 in materials so I think it's safe to call it a success.

This engine is 7.2cm (2.8") tall.

Professors: It's Not Okay To Be White

“Can my children be friends with white people?”

This bizarre question is the basis of a New York Times op-ed published Sunday, and the author answers it with a “no,” albeit with some exceptions.

“History has provided little reason for people of color to trust white people in this way [of genuine friendship], and these recent months have put in the starkest relief the contempt with which the country measures the value of racial minorities,” writes Ekow N. Children are Being Educated in School to Obey the Government’s Vaccination Agenda

By Christina England, BA Hons

Children around the world are being taught in school from an early age to believe that vaccines are safe and effective as part of their education. Not only is there evidence to support this fact, but there is also evidence that many children are being regularly brainwashed to believe that if they do not receive their vaccinations, they could get ill and die from vaccine-preventable diseases.

The Learning Network, which works in conjunction with The New York Times, lays out a series of lesson plans for teachers in the US, including a lesson titled Fighting Disease: Researching the History and Biology of Vaccines. This lesson in particular should interest the many parents who are unaware that their children are being brainwashed to think in a particular way when they send them to school...

The JFK Assassination: District Attorney Jim Garrison’s Case For A Conspiracy

In this broadcast from July 15th 1967 New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison responds to an attack by NBC News on June 19th 1967 prior to his trial of local New Orleans businessman, and possible CIA agent or asset, Clay Shaw on charges of conspiring to murder President John F. Kennedy. NBC News tried to discredit Garrison and his office in the minds of the citizens. In a desperate attempt at tainting the jury pool and making Garrison and his case irrelevant. Shaw was eventually acquitted by the jury. Be that as it may, Garrison was able to use his air time wisely and laid out his entire case for there being a conspiracy to murder President John Kennedy for the public to hear. He remains the only law enforcement official to bring anyone to trial in regards to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. To quote Jim Garrison, “let justice be done, though the heavens fall.”

JFK Files: The Truth Behind the Farce

by Clifford Shack
(henrymakow.com)

The American people have been promised the release of all the classified documents on the JFK assassination. It ain't never going to happen.

But that's ok. Just connect the dots. Those of us who have, know, that solving the whodunit aspect of the assassination is just the beginning. The real, meaty story lies in the motive. Since the assassination 54 years ago, millions of published research hours allow us to piece the story together in the context of that time.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand the basics of the case. Those with a minimal degree of understanding know that the CIA was clearly behind the assassination. Most of the guys involved in planning the assassination lived blocks away from Kennedy when he lived in McClean, Virginia.

Professor Claims Math, Algebra And Geometry Promote ‘White Privilege’

A University of Illinois math professor believes that algebra and geometry perpetuate “white privilege” because Greek terms give Caucasians unearned credit for the subject.

But that isn’t the professor’s only complaint. She also believes that evaluations for math proficiency perpetuates discrimination against minority students, if they do worse than their white counterparts.

Rochelle Gutierrez argues in a newly published math education book for teachers that they must be aware of the identity politics surrounding the subject of mathematics.

“On many levels, mathematics itself operates as Whiteness,” she argues with complete sincerity, according to Campus Reform. “Who gets credit for doing and developing mathematics, who is capable in mathematics, and who is seen as part of the mathematical community is generally viewed as White.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

ARE YOU FLIPPING KIDDING ME?!?

AND SOMEONE GAVE THIS WOMAN A LICENSE TO TEACH COLLEGE LEVEL MATH?!?

The very last thing any minority kid needs to contend with is "identity politics" coupled with mathematics.

And yes, all peoples, societies, and cultures should be looked upon positively for their contribution to the development of mathematics and science.

Kids learn differently; and if minority kids are having a hard time with math, they need subject enrichment, and positive reinforcement when they solve problems correctly. Nothing succeeds like success, and nothing fails like failure, particularly for a kid; therefore, creating a successful environment which engenders real "cognitive wins" for a child who is struggling with math is key.
