Robert de Niro calls President Trump 'the jerk-off-in-chief', 'the baby-in-chief' and a 'f***ing fool' in epic rant while giving award to Meryl Streep

Robert de Niro called President Trump a 'f***ing fool' in a foul-mouthed rant as he presented Meryl Streep with a best actress award on Tuesday night.

Introducing Streep at the National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala in New York - which is not broadcast on TV - De Niro took time out to call the President a 'f***ing idiot' and compare his presidency to the fairytale of the Emperor's New Clothes.

The Oscar-winner also branded Trump the 'baby-in-chief' and 'jerk-off-in-chief' while discussing Streep's new film The Post, which is about the publication of the Pentagon Papers into the Vietnam War.

'Funny I've never heard you mention my name': Bill Clinton rape accuser Juanita Broaddrick slams Oprah for addressing #MeToo movement in Golden Globes speech

Not everyone was fawning over Oprah Winfrey's barnstorming speech from Sunday's Golden Globe Awards

Juanita Broaddrick, who has alleged that former President Bill Clinton raped her during his 1978 campaign for Arkansas governor, called out the media mogul for addressing the #MeToo movement during her speech.

Broaddrick, 75, tweeted on Monday morning: 'Hey @Oprah #GoldenGlobes. Funny I've never heard you mention my name. CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW? Guess not. My rapist was/is your friend, Bill Clinton.'

RUBBISH! Portland's top brass said it was OK to swipe your garbage--so we grabbed theirs.

After much debate, we resolved to turn the tables on three of our esteemed public officials. We embarked on an unauthorized sightseeing tour of their garbage, to make a point about how invasive a "garbage pull" really is--and to highlight the government's ongoing erosion of people's privacy. We chose District Attorney Mike Schrunk because his office is the most vocal defender of the proposition that your garbage is up for grabs. We chose Police Chief Mark Kroeker because he runs the bureau. And we chose Mayor Vera Katz because, as police commissioner, she gives the chief his marching orders. Each, in his or her own way, has endorsed the notion that you abandon your privacy when you set your trash out on the curb. So we figured they wouldn't mind too much if we took a peek at theirs. Boy, were we wrong. [This is from 2002, but a classic.]

Black Eye: Harvey Weinstein’s Accusers Say They Weren't Invited To Golden Globes

Okay—so, all of Hollywood finally came to the realization that sexual harassment and assault is bad. Good for them, but what about the actresses who accused Harvey Weinstein, the former big time Hollywood producer that set off the Me Too moment, of sexual harassment—some of them accused him of rape? Well, they just weren’t invited

WALSH: Stop Congratulating Yourselves, Hollywood. You Hypocritical, Self-Serving Cowards.

An actress showed up on the Golden Globes red carpet last night wearing a sweatshirt with the words "Poverty is Sexist" emblazoned across it. The sweatshirt costs $380. It was a perfect microcosm of the entire night, and the film industry as a whole: vapid, ridiculous, clueless, meaningless, self-serving, self-righteous, self-defeating, hypocritical, phony.

I didn't watch the event because I decided to stab butter knives into my eye sockets instead, but the media tells me that the ceremony was "inspiring" and "powerful," as all of Hollywood's biggest celebrities took turns making theatrical statements in condemnation of their own cowardice and degeneracy. The women wore black dresses in protest against sexual harassment, and the men showed solidarity by boldly wearing the same black tuxedos they would have worn anyway. The slogan of the night was "Time's Up," because the fake campaign against sexual harassment didn't already have enough slogans.

NBC: Oprah Winfrey Running for President After Stirring Golden Globe Awards Speech

The celebrities who survived the barrage of sexual assault allegations that rocked Hollywood last year all joined at the Golden Globe Awards last night, most wearing black in support of the “Time’s Up” movement, which stands in solidarity with the victims of sexual abuse. Only three women wore other colors.

The most memorable speech of the night came from Oprah, a woman who many speculate will run for president (and one Trump once said he wanted as his VP). NBC even implied that Oprah will run for and win the presidency sometime in the future in a now-deleted tweet:

Palestine: Over 100 Artists Sign Pledge in Support of Lorde’s Israel Decision

More than 100 actors, musicians, writers and directors have signed a pledge of support of New Zealand pop singer Lorde after she was criticized for cancelling a concert in Israel.
The pledge, which was published as an open letter in the Guardian on Friday, was signed by well-known artists including Mark Ruffalo, Peter Gabriel, Roger Waters, Viggo Mortensen, Tom Morello, John Cusack, Julie Christie, Shepard Fairey, Eve Ensler, Angela Davis, Talib Kweli, and James Schamus, WAFA reported.

Lorde has been making headlines since canceling a show scheduled for June in Tel Aviv heeding calls by activists in the boycott, divestment and sanction (BDS) movement.

The letter of support came in response to a full-page ad featured in the Washington Post that attacked Lorde for her decision. The ad was sponsored by the Word Values Network, an organization run by, Shmuley Boteach, a supporter of US President Donald Trump whose main donors include right-wing settlement funder, Sheldon Adelson.

Pop singer Lily Allen has claimed Muslim grooming gang victims could have been “raped or abused by somebody else at some point” if the gangs were not active in the UK.

Venice Theater actress accuses Tony award winner Ben Vereen of sexual assault

Multiple women are speaking out, claiming they were sexually abused by actor and director Ben Vereen at his Suncoast rental home in 2015. They said it happened while Vereen was directing a production of "Hair" at the Venice Theater.

"[I thought it was] just really cool to get to hang out with my director, and that's all that I considered it as," said Kaitlyn Terpstra, who claims Vereen sexually assaulted her in 2015.

It was a professional relationship turned personal between Kaitlyn Terpstra and Tony Award winning actor Ben Vereen. He told Terpstra he chose her and the other actors because they had raw talent. The North Port and Sarasota native grew up performing at the Venice Community Theater but she remembers her relationship with her new show director getting out of hand quickly.

"He said, 'do you feel that?' because his erection was pressing against me and I didn't want to acknowledge it because it was so upsetting," explained Terpstra.

Washington DC’s role behind the scenes in Hollywood goes deeper than you think

The US government and Hollywood have always been close. Washington DC has long been a source of intriguing plots for filmmakers and LA has been a generous provider of glamour and glitz to the political class.

But just how dependent are these two centres of American influence? Scrutiny of previously hidden documents reveals that the answer is: very.

We can now show that the relationship between US national security and Hollywood is much deeper and more political than anyone has ever acknowledged.

Private sidewalks in Westport cause mixed emotions for business owners, KC residents

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Westport business owners are hoping private sidewalks will bring people back to the KC neighborhood, but not everyone is convinced the privatization is a good thing.

There has been pushback from civil rights leaders concerned about profiling.

Harveywood Fallout: President Trump Has Better Poll Numbers Than Meryl Streep

After a 40 year career, three Oscars, and nearly achieving something close to sainthood status due to her anti-Trump activism, Meryl Streep’s fall from grace over the Harveywood scandal is near complete. A new poll shows that her reputation is in tatters, and that no one with any sense believes she “knew nothing” about the alleged predations of Harvey Weinstein, a man she once called “God.”

Streep’s problems began back in 2003, when the now-69 year-old actress was caught on television giving a standing ovation to a fugitive child rapist, director Roman Polanski, a monster who drugged, raped, and sodomized, a 13 year-old girl. After confessing to this crime, he fled from justice.

Who to Believe on Washington's Korea Policy, Tillerson or Trump?

President Trump has often said that his foreign policy objective was to keep his enemies guessing. If that’s the goal, you could say that he’s doing a good job. The problem is who does he think his enemies are, because the American people are often left guessing as well.

US policy toward North Korea last week is a good example of how the Trump Administration is wittingly or unwittingly sowing confusion among friend and foe alike. In what looked like a breakthrough, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson announced last Tuesday that the US would be willing to sit down and talk with North Korea “without preconditions.” Previously the US had demanded that North Korea agree to end its nuclear weapons and missile programs before Washington was willing to sit down to formal talks.

The State Department shift toward actual diplomacy with North Korea was quickly quashed>>>

Hollyweird! Amid sex scandals galore, Tinsel Town releases “acclaimed” film featuring MAN-BOY LOVE

If you needed more proof after the Harvey Weinstein and related sexual assault scandals to realize that Hollywood is chock full of perverts, sadists, child abusers and pedophiles, here you go.

Amid all of the sex-related allegations and admissions these past few months, you’d think that a film featuring sex and love between a grown man and an underage teen boy would be about as taboo as it gets.

Well, you’d be wrong. Dead wrong.

In fact, not only has Sony Pictures Classics just rolled a film featuring a romance between an adult man and teen boy, but it’s actually “generating Oscar buzz,” The Washington Times reports, meaning the sickos who rate and nominate films in DebaucheryWood actually believe this trash could be one of the year’s best films.

When comedy sides with tyranny

‘Triggered’ is such a weird insult, isn’t it? ‘Sorry, snowflake, did I trigger you? Did I make you feel an .
emotion in response to an event? Did my awful actions make you react with sadness or empathy, like you’re supposed to when you’re not made of pure evil? Oh, I do beg your pardon… Did my behaviour cause you to retaliate in a way that might suggest you’re somehow human? Cucked!!’

People who delight in causing offence are so tedious. Why not just play nice? Surely a world of happiness is better than constant misery? At this point I must declare a conflict of interest: I like being happy, which is why I promote happiness. I am in the pay of Big Joy. Bear this in mind whenever you read my columns. It’s actually why I wasn’t allowed to stand as a member of parliament: the ombudsman told me that my belief in making the world a nicer place was incompatible with the regular cash rewards from the arms trade.

Harvey Weinstein, TWC, Miramax Hit with RICO Lawsuit from Six Women

Six women filed a lawsuit Wednesday against Harvey Weinstein and current and former executives at both The Weinstein Company and Miramax accusing the disgraced movie producer of sexual misconduct, and a coverup by his associates.

Filed in New York’s U.S. District Court, the suit says the women encountered “credible and objective threat of being blacklisted by Weinstein and major film producers such as Miramax and TWC if they refused Weinstein’s unwanted sexual advances or complained about his behavior.”

The civil suit says the women were subjected to “flashing, groping, fondling, harassing, battering, false imprisonment, sexual assault, attempted rape and/or completed rape.”

“The proverbial ‘casting couch’ was Harvey Weinstein’s office of choice, a choice facilitated and condoned by TWC and Miramax,” the suit reads.

Weinstein’s Complicity Machine

Mr. Weinstein’s final, failed round of manipulations shows how he operated for more than three decades: by trying to turn others into instruments or shields for his behavior, according to nearly 200 interviews, internal company records and previously undisclosed emails. Some aided his actions without realizing what he was doing. Many knew something or detected hints, though few understood the scale of his sexual misconduct. Almost everyone had incentives to look the other way or reasons to stay silent. Now, even as the tally of Mr. Weinstein’s alleged misdeeds is still emerging, so is a debate about collective failure and the apportioning of blame.

'I just want to let you know Harvey's a RAPIST': Lena Dunham's damning email to Hillary Clinton revealed - but she ignored it for a year, took his cash and even wanted to be in business with him

Bill and Hillary Clinton's team ignored repeated warnings about Harvey Weinstein from Lena Dunham and Tina Brown, and were planning a lucrative documentary with him in the days before he was exposed.

The former President and First Lady were effectively complicit in stopping the movie producer's history of sexual abuse from coming out, a damning New York Times investigation claims.

Dunham, a writer and actress, and Brown, a magazine editor, both warned Hillary's advisers about Weinstein as far back as 2008, but she and Bill remained friends with him.

Dunham - one of Hillary's biggest celebrity endorsers - emailed her campaign's deputy communications director last year stating: 'I just want you to let you know that Harvey's a rapist and this is going to come out at some point,' and warned 'it's a really bad idea for him to host fund-raisers and be involved.'

Report: Child Rapist Roman Polanski Under LAPD Investigation Over 7 New Accusations

The Los Angeles Police Department has opened a new investigation into admitted child rapist Roman Polanski after seven additional accusers have come forward, according to British tabloid the Sun.

After admitting to drugging and raping a 13 year-old girl in 1977, to avoid sentencing, Polanski became a fugitive from American justice. For 40 years now, elite Hollywood has traveled to Europe to work with the child rapist. In 2002, Hollywood awarded Polanski a Best Director Oscar for The Pianist.

Some ten years ago, Hollywood and Europe’s film elite came together to launch a campaign to “Free Polanski,” a public relations stumble the industry has never really recovered from, a debacle that makes more sense now that we know the truth about an industry that appears to be populated only by abusers, their enablers, and their victims.

Mystery behind one of Hollywood's greatest extravagances is solved: Archaeologists unearth perfectly-intact 300lb sphinx's head from the 1925 set of Ten Commandments in California sand dunes

A giant plaster sphinx head has been discovered by archaeologists excavating a nearly hundred-year-old movie set in California.

The perfectly intact 300lb was a part of the set for director Cecil B DeMillle's 95-year-old set for The Ten Commandments.

Buried in the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes, the piece is said to be unlike anything else from previous digs, according to Doug Jenzen, Executive Director of the Dunes Center.

'The majority of it is preserved by sand with the original paint still intact,' he said to the KEYT.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In the early days of film, sets erected on relatively worthless land were simply abandoned after the production. The massive set for the Babylonian temple from D. W. Griffith's "Intolerance" remained standing for decades just off what is today Sunset Blvd until land prices made it economical to demolish. But in more remote locations, the remains of the sets from classic movies can still be found and I recall that excavations to recover the sets and props from "The Ten Commandments" were underway even while I was still living in Hollywood.

Today, movie studios are bound by law and contractual agreements to remove all sets and restore locations to their previous condition after filming has finished.

How a Handful of Billionaires Kept Their Friend Harvey Weinstein in Power

The Harvey Weinstein sexual assault saga is a scandal for the ages. But the grave accusations of harassment and, in some cases, rape from over 100 women have helped shed an important if disheartening light on the widespread misconduct of many rich and powerful figures in Hollywood, the media, government and elsewhere.

The story has been so big that it has let another scandal disappear: a corporate backstory about how a group of billionaire board members from the worlds of Wall Street and entertainment let Harvey Weinstein stay in power. It features an all-star cast that included James Dolan and Dirk Ziff—and later, in cameo appearances, Paul Tudor Jones and Marc Lasry—who oversaw an almost unimaginably toxic corporate culture built and led by their friend, according to two directors who long opposed Harvey Weinstein.

Burn down British cinemas showing Bollywood movie ‘Padmavati’ – Hindu nationalist

All UK cinemas screening the controversial Bollywood film ‘Padmavati’ should be “burnt down,” the leader of a nationalist Hindu group has claimed. It comes after the movie was cleared without cuts by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC).

The £17 million (US$22.5 million) production, rated 12A by the BBFC, has been marred by protests amid claims it portrays an inaccurate account of history. Critics argue it suggests the iconic 14th century Hindu queen, Padmavati, engages in a romantic relationship with Muslim invader Alauddin Khilji. Now Sukhdev Singh, the leader of the Rajput Karni Sena caste group, is seeking to halt the movie’s circulation in the UK.

“I call on Hindus in the UK and particularly my community brothers to protest against the screening of the film there,” he told Republic TV. “I have told them any cinema hall which screens the movie will be burnt.”
