Macron makes geography gaffe about troubled French Guiana

Emmanuel Macron made the blunder during a whirlwind tour of France's overseas territories.

"What's been happening in French Guiana over the past few days is serious," he told journalists, referring to tensions mounting over a general strike scheduled for the French overseas department on Monday.

"My first response is a call for calm, because blocking the airport runways and takeoffs - and sometimes even blocking off the function of the island itself is not the response to the situation."

The error - in case you missed it - was that French Guiana isn't an island at all but a coastal block of land in the northern reaches of southern America

US Will Keep Ground Troops in Libya

In a press briefing at the Pentagon today, African Command leader Gen. Thomas Waldhauser announced that the US intends to keep ground troops in Libya for the foreseeable future to support “friendly forces,” and to “degrade” the ISIS forces that remain in the country.

Waldhauser did not specify how many US troops are in Libya now, or how many will stay, but did estimate that there were less than 200 ISIS fighters left in Libya. The US had announced the end of the anti-ISIS campaign in Libya back in December, but never fully withdrew from the country.

The US forces were in Libya trying to help the “unity” government defeat ISIS in the city of Sirte. US officials repeatedly claimed the city was totally surrounded, and that no ISIS fighters would get away, though when the fighting finally ended, a substantial number of ISIS fighters did in fact get away.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: this is "military-speak" for the reality that the US government is never leaving Libya because of the oil and the oil pipelines.

'Russia & the US are both GREAT POWERS' Le Pen promises to move beyond 'Cold War politics'

She said: “I don’t see any good reason to engage in a Cold War in any form.

“Russia as well as the US is a great power.

“It’s very important for France to build up balanced relations with both of these countries.

“I think we could do that with Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.”

She went on to claim it was time to drop trade sanctions against Russia, which were introduced by the EU after Putin moved troops to annex the Ukrainian province of Crimea.

Ms Le Pen told RT: “The priority is to allow cooperation between Russia and France, not only in culture but also in business and strategic cooperation such as in the fight against ISIS and also in energy."

The French want something fresh: 6th Republic and taxes on robots

The results of first televised debate of French presidential candidates do not look too comforting. The debate has shown that France is unable to determine its development strategy under new and extremely complicated conditions. The French elite is divided, the society is disoriented - everything indicates a looming acute political crisis that the new president of France will have to face. Leftist candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon stated that he was going to become the last President of the Fifth Republic and initiate the reforms that would create the Sixth French Republic. A survey conducted by Elabe sociological institute immediately after the debate showed that Mélenchon took the second place on his credibility, losing only to Emmanuel Macron and leaving all other three contenders for presidency behind. Macron seemed credible only to 29 percent of the polled, while leftist Mélenchon - to 20 percent.

France 'ceased to be a fully sovereign nation' — Le Pen

France has ceased to be a fully sovereign nation, leader of the French National Front political Party, Marine Le Pen, said at a meeting of Russia’s State Duma (lower house of parliament) International Affairs Committee on Friday. "The fact is that at the moment the problem we are facing can be summed up in the following way: France has ceased to be a fully sovereign country," she said. According to Le Pen, this stems from the fact that France has "delegated some of its powers, at least those concerning trade negotiations and diplomatic functions, to the European Union. "The EU is behaving like an opponent of the idea, which we are upholding in our policy," she stressed. "I hope France will regain its sovereignty, and there will be no reasons whatsoever to prevent resumption of the Russian-French relations so that they could reach the cruise speed necessary for their development," the politician stated.

French presidential candidate Fillon charged in jobs probe

French presidential candidate Francois Fillon was given preliminary charges Tuesday in an investigation of taxpayer-funded jobs his wife and children received but allegedly never performed.

The charges further damage the former prime minister's chances at winning the two-round April 23-May 7 presidential election in which he once was viewed as the leading contender.

Investigating judges filed the charges Tuesday, Celine Clement-Petremann of the national financial prosecutor's office said. It was a surprise move - Fillon had said the judges summoned him for Wednesday, but they apparently moved up the decision.

Fillon is accused of misusing public funds, receiving money from the misuse of public funds, complicity in misusing public funds and improper declaration of assets, among other charges, the prosecutor's office said.

France's Death Spiral

In 1990, the "Gayssot law" was passed, stipulating that "any discrimination based on ethnicity, nation, race or religion is prohibited". Since then, it has been used to criminalize any criticism of Arab and African delinquency, any question on immigration from the Muslim world, any negative analysis of Islam. Many writers have been fined and most "politically incorrect" books on those topics have disappeared from bookshops.

The French government asked the media to obey the "Gayssot law." It also asked that history textbooks be rewritten to include chapters on the crimes committed by the West against Muslims, and on the "essential contribution" of Islam to humanity. All history textbooks are "Islamically correct."

In hospitals, Muslims are increasingly asking to be treated only by Muslim doctors, and refusing to let their wives be treated by male doctors.

French Citizens Complicit in the Israeli Occupation

The French provide some of the most important contingents of volunteers in the Israeli army. If until now the French state seems to have closed it eyes on this affair, the admission of Palestine to the International Court of Justice is likely to be a game-changer.

On 4 January 2017, the Franco-Israeli Elor Azaria, sergeant in the Israeli army (IDF), was convicted by a military tribunal of voluntary manslaughter. On 24 March 2016, he had been filmed while killing, with one shot to the head, Abdel Fattah al-Sharif, a 21 year-old Palestinian involved in a knife attacked against Israeli soldiers, near the settlement of Tel Rumeida around Hebron. No Russian Hackers needed: Le Pen could win the French Elections

The French presidential race continues to yield surprises, some of which could very well lead to the untimely death of the European Union. After the triumphant start of the electoral campaign of Emmanuel Macron, a former banker for the Rothschilds and a puppet of the supranational elites, European journalists wrote with pride that the success of anti-establishment politicians, who had won in the UK and US, had finally ended. Journalists crowned Macron’s head in advance and hoisted a winner of the presidential race while various think tanks began writing that Europe is the last bastion of the Soros and Kagan teams, in a sense the last bastion of “true democracy.”

It would seem that only a miracle or another intervention by Russian hackers could stop the inevitable triumph of this French banker, but instead there’s another chance here. Suddenly, it’s been discovered that a portion of French voters still have a sense of dignity which is better not to touch.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Is There More to the Flynn Story?

A strange resignation in a UK intelligence service suggests U.S. partners may have been involved.

The Hannigan resignation is not occurring in a vacuum, and some in the large and highly networked retired intelligence community have come to believe that it is connected to the investigation and downfall of Trump’s first national-security advisor, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn. Former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy has detailed exactly how the Flynn case does not appear to fit into any acceptable category that would have mandated an investigation and interrogation by the FBI. Surveillance of a Russian official would be authorized under FBI guidelines, but to extend that type of monitoring or investigation to a U.S. citizen would require specific authority from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court to issue a warrant based on probable cause.

With France's election just two months away, glad-handing at the annual farm show is not just a photo op for presidential hopefuls, it's a must.

"We're waiting for them," said Jeremy Decerle, the head of the Jeunes Agriculteurs (Young Farmers) union, complaining that the would-be heads of state have given the distressed farming sector short shrift so far.

France Is Forcing Its Employees to Power Down: Will It Work?

The year was 1998. I had just graduated from college and was working as an entry-level account coordinator in a large PR agency in New York City. I worked hard, but my days ended at 6PM when I left the office. Within the next year, though, Ethernet access at home had become a reality. Suddenly, I was expected to be on call for my boss for any and all client needs. I was irate. I felt I did not make enough money for this. I had experienced the freedom of a solidly eight-hour workday, and I wanted that freedom back.

It would never happen. Over the next several years, diffuse working hours would become so pervasive that France – as a country – felt the need to strike back. In this post, we’ll talk about France’s brand new law limiting required employee communication outside of designated work hours.

Two Cheers for Trump Advisor Mike Anton – He Has the Right Enemies

Just as Neocons had no real qualms about a Hillary presidency, they will happily sign on to a progressive agenda as long as it is aggressively pro-Israel and anti-Russian.

Much of the recent hysteria has focused on three high-level Presidential advisors to the president: Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller, and Mike Anton.

Anton, now the senior director of strategic communications at the National Security Council, has given the clearest indication of his attitudes.Written under the pseudonym of “Publius Decius Mus” (a Roman consul who sacrificed his life for the success of his troops) his September 2016 essay “The Flight 93 Election” is in tune with Alt Right themes—with some important exceptions.

The battle is not over yet, but meanwhile it seems the Deplorables are winning, and Pussyfaces are losing.

Mike Moore’s flabby mug always looks indecently exposed, the fat slob could lead the old hags’ march without the pink pussyhat. Just his own visage would suffice.

Trump is down, cry the fans and haters alike. He’s been defeated, broken, never to rise again. He is a lame duck soon to be impeached. He will crawl back to his golden lair leaving the White House to his betters, or even better, he will run to his pal Vlad Putin.

No, my friends and readers, Trump is fighting, not running, but things take time. It is not easy to change the paradigm, and the odds were heavily slanted against Trump from step one. Still, he got this far, and he will go on.

McCain in Munich: The War Party Fights Back

The battle over US foreign policy is taking center stage. Sen. John McCain, the Senate’s leading warmonger, is at the forefront of the fight.

The Munich conference held over the weekend – an annual event that brings the leaders of the Atlantic alliance together to celebrate their hegemonic pretensions – was anything but celebratory this time around.

Despite the assurances of Vice President Pence that America’s commitment to NATO is “unwavering,” the Euro-crats in the audience were miffed that he failed to mention the European Union.

FLASHBACK : The Roots of the Refugee Crisis Caused by the West

“The reason so many are fleeing places such as Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, and Iraq is that U.S. and European interventionist foreign policy has left these countries destabilized with no hopes of economic recovery,”explainedformer congressman and three-time presidential contender Ron Paul, a leading voice for a constitutional, non-interventionist U.S. foreign policy. “This mass migration from the Middle East and beyond is a direct result of the neocon foreign policy of regime change, invasion, and pushing ‘democracy’ at the barrel of a gun.”

“Contrary to what one might expect, U.S. military aid doesn’t produce willing, cooperative, or effective security partners. Instead, it incentivizes bad behavior and drives the sources of terrorism: corruption, violence, and poor governance. Unwittingly, this policy is creating its own enemies,” writes Jeremy Ravinsky.

Wikileaks, February 16, 2017: CIA espionage orders for the 2012 French presidential election

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is completely reasonable that Moscow would support Le Pen, because of her anti-Euro, and anti-globalist stances.

A Le Pen victory this May would nearly guarantee that Soros' globalist dreams would be shattered, and that the EU would dissolve, which may well not be the worst thing to happen for average working people in Europe.

And so far, with the wikileaks information presented above, it is not the Russians who have hacked previous French elections, but their US intelligence counterparts.

And Richard Ferrand, I call you out on the following: where is your proof, please, of Russian hacking and fake news against your candidate?!? Because right now, all you have are accusations, and nothing more.

Insanity of NATO 2.0 for MidEast

If this is to be the new NATO for the Middle East then the world is truly about to descend into barbarism on a scale not seen since the Second World War.

As US President Donald Trump hosts Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu in the White House this week on the agenda is the formation of a “NATO-style” alliance for the Middle East, according to reports.

As if one US-led warmongering alliance in Europe and the North Atlantic were not enough. Now the world will see a clone of NATO let loose on the already conflict-torn Middle East region, if the reported discussions materialize.
