Pentagon And CIA at War in Syria

What a mess! In the crazy Syrian war, US-backed and armed groups are fighting other US-backed rebel groups. How can this be?

It is so because the Obama White House had stirred up war in Syria but then lost control of the process. When the US has a strong president, he can usually keep the military and intelligence agencies on a tight leash.
But the Obama administration has had a weak secretary of defense and a bunch of lady strategists who are the worst military commanders since Louis XV, who put his mistress, Madame de Pompadour, in charge of French military forces during the Seven Year’s War.

As a result, the two arms of offensive US strategic power, the Pentagon and CIA, went separate ways in Syria. Growing competition between the US military and militarized CIA broke into the open in Syria.

Fed up with the astounding incompetence of the White House, the US military launched and supported its own rebel groups in Syria, while CIA did the same.

It’s All About Russia

In the real world both Hillary and Wolfie sometimes visit, there is renewed enthusiasm for jumping on the hate Russia bandwagon.

Many issues characteristically beloved by Democrats are being raised to disparage Donald Trump.

Hillary, who has held nearly every senior government office that a human being can reasonably aspire to but the one she is currently lusting after, is unlike Trump only sufficiently deranged to kill people if they live somewhere in the third world and can’t do anything about it.

The Tide is Turning: The Official Story Is Now The Conspiracy Theory — Paul Craig Roberts

The question is: who are the real conspiracy kooks, the majority who disbelieve the official lies or the minority who believe the official lies?

In a few days it will be the 15th anniversary of 9/11, and this November 13 will be the 53rd anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas. These two state crimes against democracy destroyed American democracy, accountable government, and the Constitution’s protections of civil liberty.

Years after the damage done by these events the American people no longer believe the official stories. Neither does the government, but the government will never validate the distrust that Americans now share of “their” government by acknowledging the truth.

New migrant centre near Paris burned to the ground

Arson suspected after a building set to house 90 migrants caught fire this morning, the same day that Paris revealed plans for its first official migrant camps.

The fire ignited at the migrant accommodation in Forges-les-Bains, south west of Paris, in the early hours of Tuesday morning, reported to BFM TV.

Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said on Tuesday afternoon that all possible light will be shed on the matter to determine whether the fire was started voluntarily.

"If this hypothesis is confirmed, everything will be done to quickly arrest those behind this abject act and bring them to justice," he said.

At least two people, including one on the French intelligence services’ watchlist, were taken into custody after police found several gas canisters in an abandoned vehicle next to Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, officials said, as cited by French media.

The car, a Peugeot 607, was found parked next to one of the Paris’ most famous attractions on Sunday morning with at least seven gas cylinders inside. One empty canister was sitting on the passenger seat, but no detonators were found during the investigation, sources told Le Figaro.

Fact-Check — Top 20 Lies in Hillary’s ‘Alt-Right’ Speech

In his book, Righteous Indignation: Excuse Me While I Save the World!, Andrew recalled how he warned the Tea Party what lay ahead for them: “I said that they’d be labeled racists and hate mongers and violent criminals, that they’d be depicted as the dregs of society, people to be excluded from dinner parties because of their made-up closet KKK status. They were about to be targeted.”

Andrew added:

“They need to marginalize and demonize those that would stand up to their hardball, toxic, and antidemocratic tactics … But it won’t work. Given a fair hearing, given just the slightest exposure — and the American people will rise to the occasion. They see these tactics for what they are.”

Nicolas Sarkozy will stand trial for 'financing an illegal election campaign', French prosecutors announce

Despite the ongoing enquiry, the leader of the Republic Party was convinced he could still become head of state again next year.

Now, however, Mr Sarkozy is expected to reconsider his options after being indicted for ‘financing an illegal campaign’, which could carry a prison sentence.

Alleged false accounting, fraud and breach of trust are all elements in the so-called Bygmalion Affair.

Bygmalion was the PR firm which handled the notoriously self-promoting Mr Sarkozy’s appearances during his failed 2012 re-election campaign.

It is said to have used a vast system of false accounting to conceal an alleged explosion of funding for his campaign.

It exceeded the legal limit for funds of £18.5 million, with Mr Sarkozy’s team spending the equivalent of at least £33 million.

If America truly believes in its “exceptionalism,” then it should, with supreme confidence, enter the world as an active participant, and not as a spoiled “bully in the school yard.”

Now that former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski has openly declared that the United States of America should abandon their quest for global hegemony, American leadership should take heed and amend their foreign policy objectives accordingly.

The Neocon in the Oval Office

Neoconservatives are wedded to war, death and destruction. It is the foundation of their policy and it dominates the culture that they have created.

If Hillary Rodham Clinton becomes US President, she will be the first neoconservative to actually occupy that office.

Israel and its supporters were inseparable from the neoconservative movement from the beginning.

Many neocons were already Zionist or pro-Zionist, and their support for aggressive militarism was largely indistinguishable from Israel’s own strategic plans.

To the extent that the neocon movement could sell Israel’s views as solidly American, it could bend the resources of the most powerful military on earth for Israel’s own ends.

Carnage in Calais: Horrific crash as jungle migrant gangs target tourists in cars in terrifying new AMBUSH technique that left our journalists covered in blood after narrowly escaping death

Migrants from the Calais Jungle camp are using a deadly new tactic in their attempts to get to Britain.

Ruthless gangs are deliberately causing crashes on the roads to the French port by hurling large objects at cars – then sneaking on to lorries caught up in the resulting tailbacks.

Home Secretary Amber Rudd has spoken out after a team of Mail on Sunday journalists narrowly escaped death last week when three migrants threw a log at their car, forcing it into the path of a 38-ton juggernaut.

Hollande To Turkey, Russia – Stop Fighting And Do As You’re Told!

By Brandon Turbeville

French President Hollande, who has not only pushed the knife further into the heart of the French economy and made certain that no trace of freedom will remain in France is now criticizing Turkey for its action against Kurdish fanatics and Western-backed Kurdish militias in Syria. In addition, Hollande is warning Russia not to become a “protagonist” in the war.

What lies beneath the burkini. France no longer a Christian nation

The first underwater nuclear explosion was carried out at Bikini Atoll in 1946. In 2016, burkini, Islamic swimsuit, produced a social explosion on French beaches. The French Themis grossly violated the rights of Muslim women in black: if they want to express their religious beliefs, they need to leave a public beach. After the terrorist attack in Nice, several municipalities in France banned the wearing of burkini. French Prime Minister Manuel Valls supported the initiative. Is the ban based on Islamophobia, the threat to lose national identity or the fear of suicide bombers? Whatever it is, the French are struggling against the form - they do not know what to do with the content. Many in France were outraged with the recent incident on Cote d'-Azur, when French police officers forced a Muslim woman in burkini to take her swimsuit off. "The people around were watching the police telling her to take it foo," angry people were blogging.

The Deep Colonial Roots Of France’s Unveiling Of Muslim Women

Throughout the summer, as a growing number of southern French municipalities banned burkinis on their beaches, the measure was widely decried as Islamophobic, counter-productive and oppressive to women. While it would be easy to reduce it to a misled, demagogue measure by right-wing mayors attempting to appear ‘tough on extremism’ in the aftermath of the Nice attack and in a national climate of rising Islamophobia, the bans are only the latest development in a long history of state-led oppression of Muslim women. In fact, the French State has been unveiling Muslim women for decades.

Lavrov-Steinmeier Pact: Will the Berlin-Moscow Axis prevail?

A meeting between the foreign ministers of Russia and Germany was held in Yekaterinburg a few days following the Crimean incident. Although the meeting was meant to discuss the Syrian and Ukrainian conflicts, last week’s events in Crimea created a special atmosphere for the meeting.

On August 10th, Vladimir Putin refused to participate in the Normandy Quartet meeting planned for September in China. On the same day, the French foreign ministry issued an essentially pro-Ukrainian statement calling on both sides to settle their disputes peacefully. When one side becomes the victim of a terrorist attack by the other, such a call can only be considered dubious. Russia might as well have called upon the government of France to sit down at the negotiating table with Islamists after the terrorist attacks in Paris and Nice.

Aug 12 07:11

Globalization Is Dead, But The Idea Is Not

I personally have the idea that if you think central banks -and perhaps governments- have the ability and the tools to prevent or cure financial crises, you’re in the more optimistic camp. And if you don’t, you’re a pessimist. A third option might be to think that no matter what central bankers do, things will solve themselves, but I don’t see much of that being floated. Not anymore.

What I do see are countless numbers of bankers and economists and pundits and reporters holding up high the concept of globalization (a.k.a. free trade, Open Society) as the savior of mankind and its economy.

And I’m thinking that no matter how great you think the entire centralization issue is, be it global or on a more moderate scale, it’s a lost case. Because centralization dies the moment it can no longer show obvious benefits for people and societies ‘being centralized’. Unless you’re talking a dictatorship.

OK, it is absolutely official: Emmanuelle Cosse, France's Housing Minister, has lost her reality licence.

With the attacks the French people have suffered, this is the absolutely, diametric opposite of what the people of France want to see happen.

I would strongly suggest to Ms. Cosse that she ask her boss, President Hollande, to have some serious discussions with President Obama about stopping the wars that are causing these massive refugee influxes in the first place (and all the ancillary problems they are creating, like monumental increases in rapes of young European women).

French media bans terrorists’ names, photos — but they’re lying about the reason

Yet now the very names of terrorists will be banned. Is it really so as not to incite copycats?

Of course not.

It’s to hide the identity of the terrorists as Muslim. We even saw that in Canada last week, when the Globe and Mail called the Munich terrorist “David,” instead of his given name, “Ali.”

The Wall Street Journal reported on the pressure put on French media, from the government itself:

France’s New Reality: Hollande Claims Country At War With ISIS, Predicts Long Battle

France is in a state of war and it’s going to be a long battle… words of warning from President Hollande.

Why didn't they warn the French people? Security services sent picture of priest-killer with warning that attack was imminent to police four days before church murder but cops did NOT issue image to the public

French intelligence services had been sent a picture of priest killer Abdelmalik Petitjean and were warned an attack was imminent four days before the Normandy church attack, it has been revealed.
In yet another shocking security lapse, the 19-year-old was left to kill Father Jacques Hamel, 85, in the Normandy town of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray on Tuesday.
His photo had been widely distributed to police stations after the anonymous tip-off 'from abroad' on July 22. It was received with a colour photograph of Petitjean, and said he 'was preparing to take part in an attack on national territory'.
The warning went on: 'He's already in France, and is preparing to act alone, or with others.'

Webmaster's Commentary:

The only awful, and inescapable, conclusion one can logically draw, is that someone very high up in the French government wanted an attack like this to happen.

Et Porquoi?! And why?!?

Please remember what Hollande did right after 15 July, following the incident where 84 people were mowed down by that truck in Nice? extend the state of emergency for another 3 months.

Now, with the horrific assassination of Jacques Hamel three days ago, and with the grief so palpable for the French people, heaven only knows what Hollande has in mind to further curtail the liberties in France.

Is Europe Doomed By Vassalage To Washington? — Paul Craig Roberts

World War II resulted in Europe being conquered, not by Berlin but by Washington.

The conquest was certain but not all at once. Washington’s conquest of Europe resulted from the Marshall Plan, from fears of Stalin’s Red Army that caused Europe to rely on Washington’s protection and to subordinate Europe’s militaries to Washington in NATO, from the replacement of the British pound as world reserve currency with the US dollar, and from the long process of the subordination of the sovereignty of individual European countries to the European Union, a CIA initiative implemented by Washington in order to control all of Europe by controlling only one unaccountable government.

With few exceptions, principally the UK, membership in the EU also meant loss of financial independence. As only the European Central Bank, an EU institution, can create euros, those countries so foolish as to accept the euro as their currency no longer have the power to create their own money in order to finance budget deficits.

Germany May Use Internal Army to Combat Terrorism As Europeans Told to “Expect Attacks” On a Daily Basis

Germany is preparing to use their internal army, as well as increased police forces, in the event of a large scale terror attack:

But attack after attack strains everybody’s ability to respond with the levels of emotion such atrocities demand.

In the previous week in Germany alone there has been a fatal machete attack, an axe attack on a train, a suicide bombing and a shooting rampage in a shopping mall.

In Signal to Military, Hillary Clinton Picks Senator Tim Kaine as Running Mate

In selecting Kaine, Clinton is making clear that she plans on running a right-wing, pro-war campaign targeted at winning over the military and sections of the Republican Party dissatisfied with Trump, and particularly with the Republican candidate’s attitude toward Russia. Clinton also wanted to repudiate any association with the issues of social inequality that motivated the widespread support for her main rival in the primaries, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

Kaine is among the most hawkish figures among Senate Democrats. As governor of Virginia from 2006 to 2010, Kaine oversaw billions of dollars in cuts to the state budget. The state of Virginia is a major center for the military and defense industry, and is home to the Pentagon and the headquarters of the CIA.

Between 2009 and 2011, Kaine served as the head of the Democratic National Committee, the leadership body of the Democratic Party. He is close to Wall Street, having recently backed measures to deregulate banks.

Jill Stein Just BLASTED the DNC Over Leaked Emails

“This latest revelation from WikiLeaks underscores how much the media is in bed with the DNC to circle the wagons around Hillary,” Stein told US Uncut in a phone interview. “The corruption and underhanded tactics and deception and conspiratorial efforts to silence Bernie and delegitimize him — I mean, welcome to the Green Party. This is what we’ve been up against forever.”

“The leaked DNC emails are the smoking gun that the Democratic establishment was rigging the game against Bernie the whole time,” Stein said in a press release issued by her campaign. “Instead of running the process impartially and letting the voters decide, top Democratic officials were doing all they could to ensure a Clinton victory, including collusion with journalists to present a pro-Clinton, anti-Sanders narrative.”

Nice Attacks, Destroying Evidence at Crime Scene: French Government Orders Destruction of CCTV Video Footage

A report in 21st of July edition of Le Figaro newspaper states that France’s anti-terrorist executive ( sous-direction anti-terroriste- SDAT) has ordered Nice’s urban surveillance authorities to destroy all CCTV footage of the Nice Attacks on Bastille Day that rocked the city on the 14th of July 2016.

Although SDAT have cited articles 53 and L706-24 of the prosecution procedure and article R642-1 of the penal code, authorities in Nice interviewed by Le Figaro say that it is the first time they have ever been asked to destroy evidence at a crime scene – something they point out is illegal.

The explanation given by the French Ministry of Justice is that they don’t want ‘uncontrolled’ and ‘non-authorised (non maîtrisée) diffusion of the images of the terrorist attacks.

Donald Trump and the Revolt of the Proles

The Trump phenom is about economic insecurity. This isn’t about ideology, or racism, it’s about reality;

Western elites were shocked by Brexit, shocked that all their fear mongering and finger-wagging amounted to nothing. The same is true in the US, where the media’s daily attacks on Trump have failed to erode his base of support at all, in fact, they may have added to it.

That’s the reality that made Trump possible, and that’s what this election is about, economic insecurity.

France to Send Heavy Artillery to Iraq to Fight ISIS

French President Francois Hollande has announced intentions to send heavy artillery, but no ground troops, to Iraq within the next month to fight against ISIS. The announcement was presented as retaliation for the Nice truck attack.

The “no ground troops” part seems flexible, as it so often is among the US-led coalition, with aides later saying that while Iraqi troops would be expected to use the artillery, France would be sending a cadre of “advisers” to the nation to show them how.

Hollande was keen to escalate French military action against ISIS after previous attacks as well, using the November Paris attacks as a justification for significant escalations of the air campaign. It is unclear, however, if the Iraqi Army is really in need of additional artillery at this point, or if the deployments are just for show.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This looks like pure posturing, on Hollande's part.

Heading a government which is frightfully unpopular at home, because of a mandated change in labor laws, he apparently is attempting to do something "butch" to impress the French electorate abroad.

However, all of this is going to completely crumble if Al-Abadi's corrupt and weak government gets thrown under the proverbial bus by Al-Sadr elements in Iraq in a popular revolution, which just may well be coming here.

Hollande had just better pray that he is reading the geopolitical "tea leaves" correctly here.

Because at that point, those French "advisors" would become personas non grata, and hopefully be repatriated ASAP by the Al-Sadr government.

Nice – 14th July – Lie Propaganda in Overdrive – Murder Is the New Normal

Now that the French Secret Services and their foreign associates have read the accounts of ‘false flag’ suspicion in the non-mainstream media, the French Government had to resort immediately to all sorts of doubt deviating maneuvers.

- The truck driven through the Bastille Day celebrating masses on Boulevard des Anglais, suddenly did not break through the barricade protecting the strip as a pedestrian area for the celebration, but it entered through an unprotected side-street. The ‘drive’ was allegedly prepared days in advance, even with dry runs, according to street cameras and telephone conversations between Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel (MLB), the driver of the truck, and a bunch of friends, whom he also asked to supply him with weapons. Strangely, the videos and telephone conversations emerged just days later.

The Encirclement of China is Well Underway: France Prepares to Lead EU Missions in the South China Sea

The naval encirclement of China is well underway. It was started over a decade ago by the United States with the re-militarization of Japan and the tightening of Washington’s military partnerships with countries like Australia and South Korea. The same is true about the missile shield being erected in South Korea, which targets China, Russia, and North Korea.

The U.S.-led international efforts to defend the freedom of navigation guaranteed by the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), aiming at preventing the entire South China Sea from becoming an exclusive Chinese lake, has just received a powerful boost in the form of the July 12 ruling of The Hague-based UN Permanent Court of Arbitration. Much to China’s anger, most of its sovereignty claims over the South China Sea are rejected in this ruling.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This, plus Germany's stated intention to conduct freedom of navigation exercises in the South China Sea, are very troubling developments here.

As originally reported at germanforeignpolicy.com on 13 July:

Whereas this is the German Navy’s first time RIMPAC participation and therefore considering a military engagement in the Pacific, the US military is already drawing up operational plans for the contingency that conflicts in the South China Sea escalate.

The plans contain reflections on how to neutralize Chinese defense systems, according to the US Chief of Naval Operations, Adm. John Richardson. The premise is that China will set up these defense systems on the artificial reefs in the South China Sea. According to reports from US military circles, the US Navy is thinking of “a whole range of counters.”[7] Examples are cyber attacks to disrupt enemy command networks, and inject false information, according to reports. Another option would be offensive strikes against the enemy, while using missile defense to down incoming enemy missiles. Last week it was announced that such a US missile defense system will be installed in South Korea.[8] While the US military is drawing up plans against Chinese South China Sea positions, experts are confirming that their implementation should in no way be considered improbable. “The South China Sea territorial disputes are likely to persist for a long time,” said Bonnie Glaser, of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington. “The question” is not whether they can be “resolved,” but if they “can be managed,” or not. France to Deploy Aircraft Carrier against ISIL, to Supply Iraqi Forces with Heavy Weapons

Hollande was speaking after a Defense Council meeting in the Elysee Palace in the French capital. The carrier will be deployed at the end of September this year, according to the French president. French aircraft carrier the Charles de Gaulle, the flagship of the French Navy, is the largest western European warship currently in commission. It is France’s first nuclear-powered surface vessel, RT reported. According to the French president, Paris is planning to supply heavy weapons to Iraqi forces as early as next month. There are, however, no plans to deploy troops on the ground in Iraq and Syria, Hollande added.

FRENCH GOVERNMENT ORDERS DESTRUCTION OF NICE ATTACK CCTV FOOTAGE OFFICIALLY TO PREVENT LEAKS

An urgent legal requisition was sent to urban supervision center of Nice Wednesday, July 20. The Paris evokes a desire to “avoid the uncontrolled dissemination of these images.”

Panic and misunderstanding for mayor of Nice. Wednesday at 11 am, the Anti-Terrorism Sub-Directorate (SDAT) sent to agents who manage video surveillance of the city requisition citing Articles 53 and L706-24 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and Article R642-1 of the Penal Code erasure asking them “complete” 24 hours of images from six cameras named, numbered, but also of all the scenes from the beginning of the attack that took place on the promenade des Anglais, on the night of July 14 .

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, let me get this straight; the footage is being destroyed because it does not support the French government "narrative" about this having been a true terror attack, rather than road rage by someone who was on mind-bending, psychoactive SSRIS for depression after his wife left him?!?

Nice authorities turn down police request to delete footage of fatal truck attack

Nice authorities have turned down the request of French anti-terrorist police to delete footage from surveillance cameras and any other videos which captured the fatal truck attack on Bastille Day.

The request was sent by Anti-Terrorist Sub-Directorate (SDAT), a special police division battling extremism, to the mayor of Nice’s office on Wednesday, according to the paper.

Le Figaro managed to obtain the copy of the document in which SDAT, citing articles of the criminal and penal codes, demands the city authorities delete “completely” nearly 24 hours of the attack captured on cameras on the Promenade des Anglais.

“Delete the recordings between July 14, 2016 22:30 and July 15, 2016 18:00,” the documents demands.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Apparently, those videos do not line up with the official fairy-tale of a terror attack, as opposed to what appears to be a road-rage incident by a driver on anti-depressants.
