Top Military Brass Working With BP to Promote Gulf Seafood

Navy Secretary Ray Mabus is pushing all members of America’s armed service to buy and eat as much seafood as possible.

This is as sinister as it gets! BP has destroyed the gulf and is now working with the U.S. military to get it in the homes of American troops(already poisoned by continued exposure to depleted uranium) throughout the country! Multiple scientists have declared gulf seafood toxic and for good reason. Over 2 million gallons of toxic dispersant has been sprayed in and around the gulf. The facts are so heavily documented that there is no logical way that any literate human being not pushing an agenda could believe otherwise.

This is common sense.

Tests Confirm Gulf Seafood Contains Toxic Oil

Test from several independent laboratories have confirmed that Gulf seafood contains a high level of toxic compounds as a result of oil contamination.

BP's Deepwater Horizon well leaked over 206 million gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico over a five month period, yet government officials have gone out of their way to assure the public that shrimp, fish, and crab harvested from those waters is completely safe to eat.

...

"I wouldn't eat shrimp, fish or crab caught in the Gulf," Naman told Raw Story. The seafood Naman tested displayed an unusual high concentration of oil and grease in its digestive tracts: 193 parts-per-million.

Sick for the Holidays: Gulf's Toxic Effects Continue

Increasing numbers of U.S. Gulf Coast residents attribute ongoing sicknesses to BP's oil disaster and use of toxic dispersants.

"Now I have a bruising rash all around my stomach," Denise Rednour of Long Beach, Mississippi told IPS. "This looks like bleeding under the skin."

Rednour lives near the coast and has been walking on the beach nearly every day since a BP oil rig exploded on Apr. 20. She has noticed a dramatically lower number of wildlife, and said that many days the smell of chemicals from what she believes are BP's toxic dispersants fill the air.

Yet her primary concern is that she and many people she knows in the area have gotten sick.

Environmental Protection Agency?

Residents of the US Gulf Coast say their pleas for help and transparency continue to be ignored by regulators.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These problems are going continue with these ecosystems, and the medical problems are going to continue for Gulf Coast residents, for generations.

And because of the political coziness between BP and the Obama administration, no real remedies will be found by any of the agencies charged with protecting either people or the enviornment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The real tragedy isn't that oil drilling has gotten out of control with regards to safety in this country, the real tragedy is that had we taken the trillions of dollars poured all over Wall Street to allow them to buy back the fraudulent mortage-backed securities and instead invested that cash into research into new energy sources, we would no longer need to drill oil either on land or sea. THAT is the tragedy. The US Government not only looted present-day America to recapitalize the banks, they squandered a potential better future for us all to keep their buddies out of jail.

The Gulf of Mexico is Dying - Part I

It is with deep regret that we publish this report. We do not take this responsibility lightly, as the consequences of the following observations are of such great import and have such far-reaching ramifications for the entire planet. Truly, the fate of the oceans of the world hangs in the balance, as does the future of humankind. The Gulf of Mexico does not exist in isolation and is, in fact, connected to the Seven Seas.

Especially that the BP narrative is nothing but a corporate-created illusion - a web of fabrication spun in collaboration with the US Federal Government and Mainstream Media. Big Oil, as well as the Military-Industrial Complex, have aided and abetted this whole scheme and info blackout because the very future of the Oil & Gas Industry is at stake, as is the future of the US Empire which sprawls around the world and requires vast amounts of hydrocarbon fuel. Should the truth seep out and into the mass consciousness - that the GOM is slowly but surely filling up with oil and gas - certainly many would rightly question the integrity, and sanity, of the whole venture, as well as the entire industry itself. And then perhaps the process would begin of transitioning the planet away from the hydrocarbon fuel paradigm altogether.

Darla Rooks is a bayou fisherman to the core. When she married Todd 20 years ago, she wore her white plastic fishing boots under her wedding dress. Todd and Darla love shrimping in the coastal waters of Louisiana the way cowboys love riding the west Texas range. It’s in their blood—a calling passed down through the generations—a lifestyle they hope to pass on to their grandkids.

Darla remembers what it felt that night after she was doused with water that she believes was full of oil and dispersants. It was like being covered in stinging jellyfish, she says, except there were no jellyfish to be found.

Explosive Gulf Oil Special Report: Crime, PSYOP, Global Impact

Photos newly released prove that the BP-Government-Media has presented and is presenting to the public, against its best interest, a sophisticated Gulf of Mexico ‘Oil Spill’ illusion. New pictorial evidence tells the real story, truth about a crime against humanity and planet committed, aided by a Psychological Operation with a devastating global impact requiring a united and prompt paradigm shift toward renewable energy.

The report, “The Gulf is Dying, Special Report on the BP Gulf Oil Spill” is evidence-based through research and writing by Dr. Tom Termotto after participation in the Gulf Oil Spill Remediation Conference for over seven months. It and additional reports by Dr. Tomotto are available at Phoenix Rising from the Gulf.

NOAA Closes 4,200 Square Miles of Gulf Waters to Royal Red Shrimping

Today, out of an abundance of caution, NOAA has closed 4,213 square miles of Gulf of Mexico federal waters off Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama to royal red shrimping. The precautionary measure was taken after a commercial shrimper, having hauled in his catch of the deep water shrimp, discovered tar balls in his net.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It was NOT an "abundance of caution", it was the tar balls! NOAA is still trying to protect itself after going along with Obama's "Magic Vanishing Oil" act of last July.

Large fish die-off at the mouth of the Mississippi

St. Bernard Parish authorities have reported a large fish kill at the mouth of the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet, but state wildlife officials say it does not appear to be directly related to oil from the BP leak.

Randy Pausina, head fisheries biologist for the state, said Department of Wildlife and Fisheries workers are investigating the fish kill and that the initial conclusion is that it was caused by low levels of oxygen in the water.

The fish were found Sunday afternoon, floating near boom that had been deployed in the area to catch oil from the BP oil leak, and washed up on the shoreline, St. Bernard Parish government said in a news release.

"By our estimates there were thousands, and I'm talking about 5,000 to 15,000 dead fish. Different species were found dead including crabs, sting rays, eel, drum, speckled trout, red fish, you name it, included in that kill," St. Bernard Parish President Craig Taffaro said.

Famous Last Words: BP's Inside Game

In a rare display of emotion, Obama ranted for 20 straight minutes. The target of his anger wasn't BP but the press. He fumed that he was being unfairly portrayed as being remote and indifferent to the mounting crisis in the Gulf. "Hell, this isn't our mess," Obama railed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Yes Obama, it is your mess. You are the President. You wanted the job and now you have it and a big part of that job, indeed the largest, is to make sure this country is running efficiently and smoothly and safely. Even as you came into office it was known that the Minerals Management Service, supposedly the protector of America's interests with regards to oil exploitation, was corrupt, lazy, and failing to enforce the existing safety regulations. Your first job, before that bible was even cold, should have been to start firing the governmental incompetents and replacing them with men and women who understood that they were not working for benefit of the oil companies (who dopnated so generously to your campaign), but the people of the United States.

But you did not do that.

So yes, President Pansy, this is indeed your mess!

Matt Smith Of Project Gulf Impact At Seattle University Forum

This is Matt Smith’s speech on the gulf oil disaster. BP, with the help of federal officials, has paid off scientists, covered up thousands of sick citizens, and destroyed the Gulf seafood industry.

The real picture must be really bad if they have to use a 157-day old wrong image

On the 204th day of the continuing BP’s Oil Spill disaster, BP quietly informed through a teleconference on 10 Nov that the “plug and abandonment of the Macondo 152 well” was completed two days prior. But what was most interesting was the picture they chose to display for the article. Not only was the still image of the “well” outdated by more than 157 days (8 June 2010) it is also the wrong image of the well.

Nov 19 07:53

BP and Macondo: The hole truth, nothing but the truth on the 3rd hole

BP has long denied ever drilling more than 1 well at the Macondo 252 prospect. That is a complete lie. Images of 2 different well-heads were published on 11 Nov 2010 to prove this. More images captured by BP’s ROVs are given here to provide the conclusive proof that the third and deepest well (S20BC) did exist. That well was the only well (out of the three) to have reached the oil reservoir at 18,300 ft bml. Images to prove that BP had not ceased chemical spraying despite public denials were published on 13 Nov 2010.

So when Tony Hayward swore to tell the whole truth, nothing but the truth before Congress, was he not guilty of perjury?

New Evidence Links BP to Health Crisis in the Gulf

BP's stock has already bounced back. The media has mostly moved on. But the long-term health impacts on Gulf Coast residents from the catastrophic oil spill are only beginning.

Exhibit A, says chemist Wilma Subra of the Louisiana Environmental Action Network, is a recent evaluation she performed of blood sample analyses from eight BP cleanup workers and residents in Alabama and Florida.

Originally collected on four separate dates throughout August, all the blood samples -- from three females, age 44, 46 and 51, and five males, age 30, 46, 48, 51 and 59 -- contained dangerously high levels of volatile organic chemicals found in BP crude oil, including Ethylbenzene, m,p-Xylene and Hexane, Subra explained during a wide-ranging interview with Alternet.

Multiple independent lab tests confirm oil in Gulf shrimp

The federal government is going out of its way to assure the public that seafood pulled from recently reopened Gulf of Mexico waters is safe to consume, in spite of the largest accidental release of crude oil in America's history.

However, testing methodologies used by the government to deem areas of water safe for commercial fishing are woefully inadequate and permit high levels of toxic compounds to slip into the human food chain, according to a series of scientific and medical professionals interviewed by Raw Story.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Federal government's response to this disaster was to get it out of sight and out of mind before the elections, no matter what harm had been done to the people or the seafood here.

BP Successfully Disposed of the Oil ... In the Gulf Food Chain

Recently declassified government documents have shed new light on the decades-old debate over the fluoridation of drinking water, and have added to a growing body of scientific evidence concerning the health effects of fluoride. Much of the original evidence about fluoride, which suggested it was safe for human consumption in low doses, was actually generated by “Manhattan Project” scientists in the 1940s. As it turns out, these officials were ordered by government powers to provide information that would be “useful in litigation” and that would obfuscate its improper handling and disposal. The once top-secret documents, say the authors, reveal that vast quantities of fluoride, one of the most toxic substances known, were required for the production of weapons-grade plutonium and uranium.

Coral, Marine-Life Devastation Near BP Oil Spill Indicates Much Worse Long-Term Damage Than Feds Had Admitted

NEW ORLEANS — For the first time, federal scientists have found damage to deep sea coral and other marine life on the ocean floor several miles from the blown-out BP well – a strong indication that damage from the spill could be significantly greater than officials had previously acknowledged.

Nov 06 07:28

Dead Coral Found Near Site of Oil Spill

A survey of the seafloor near BP’s blown-out well in the Gulf of Mexico has turned up dead and dying coral reefs that were probably damaged by the oil spill, scientists said Friday.

The coral sites lie seven miles southwest of the well, at a depth of about 4,500 feet, in an area where large plumes of dispersed oil were discovered drifting through the deep ocean last spring in the weeks after the spill.

The large areas of darkened coral and other damaged marine organisms were almost certainly dying from exposure to toxic substances, scientists said.

The corals were discovered on Tuesday by scientists aboard a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration research vessel using a submersible robot equipped with cameras and sampling tools.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If the coral is dying here, how in the sam hill can the fish caught from this region possibly be safe to eat?!?

Remember, this is the same NOAA which was conducting "sniffing tests" to allegedly determine if seafood was safe, as reported on 13 July 2010, as follows:

Each olfactory analyst has a super schnoz, able to smell oil
diluted to one part per million. That's 40 times more sensitive
than your average proboscis."

One has to wonder if a more truly scientific analysis would have shown, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the fish was fouled from both the oi, and the toxic dispersant BP used.

Senior EPA Analyst: Government "Doing a Cover Up" Regarding Dispersants, Trying to Reassure the Public Instead of Doing Honest Scientific Testing

"The purpose of the test they developed is to make the public confident, not whether the seafood was safe or not.

"They selected the one compound that doesn’t bio-accumulate, as opposed to testing for the toxic ingredients that have a low safety threshold and do build up in tissue. They are not looking for those."

Gulf still loaded with chemicals, but FDA says seafood safe to eat

Federal agencies tested for only one chemical component while ignoring all others

The FDA and NOAA recently made the shocking announcement because of results from federal tests that allegedly found "no detectable residue" of toxic chemicals in the majority of seafood tested. But fishery experts are questioning the legitimacy of the testing methods used, citing the fact that the tests only looked for one chemical component of the Corexit dispersant -- dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate (DOSS) -- while ignoring the presence of numerous other toxic chemicals and chemical combinations like polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), propanols, and 2-butoxyethanol, that are also highly toxic.

Riki Ott: ‘People Now Dropping Dead’ In the Gulf

On the sixth month anniversary of the oil disaster in the gulf we are still witnessing a complete media blackout.

The people, particularly in Grand Isle, have been poisoned by tyrants that care more about their pocketbooks than human life or mother earth.

According to Riki Ott, marine toxicologist and Exxon Valdez survivor:

“The people that did evacuate (the gulf) are glad they did”
And for good reason.”

” I am dealing with about 3 -4 autopsies right now… I know of people who’s esophagus’ are de-solving, disintegrating… I know of people with 4.75% of their lung capacity, with enlarged hearts… All of these people have oil in their bodies.”

Project Deep Spill: Feds had deep water “blowout” 10 years ago

The goal was to simulate a blowout or pipeline rupture in deep water.

The results from these measurements show that the rising of the oil through the water column represents a kind of a “stripping” process of some of the most toxic compounds in the oil, resulting in a portion of the most toxic compounds is left in the water column.
