Healthy humans can give dengue virus to mosquitos

Take that Damn Mosquitos! We're all Vectors now.

As far as historic nicknames go, Typhoid Mary and Typhoid Joe are probably not the most flattering. But now it seems that there may be a whole bunch of Dengue Mary and Joes to keep them company. A study with kids in Cambodia is the first to examine the transmission of dengue virus from asymptomatic but infected humans into mosquitoes.

9 confirmed Hawaii cases of new mosquito-transmitted disease

A relatively new disease has been spreading around the world.

It’s called Chikungunya and it was first seen in 2013 in the Caribbean. Since then, it has spread throughout South America and to the Pacific.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Part of the reason we are seeing these diseases emerge here in Hawaii is both the influx of illegal immigrants and refugees (yes, we have our share) coupled with funding cuts to the state department that controls pest populations.

Hawaii officials ask public to help stop dengue fever spread

The number of people in Hawaii infected by dengue fever continued to rise, and officials asked the public to help limit the spread of the virus.

The state Department of Health reported Monday that 112 people have been infected on Hawaii's Big Island since Sept. 11, including 14 visitors to the Aloha State.

There have been no cases of dengue fever so far on Oahu, Maui or Kauai, said Virginia Pressler, director of the state Department of Health.

Meet the man who funds ISIS: the son of Turkey’s President, Bilal Erdogan

The son of Turkey’s president (and thus, the father) is the silent mastermind who has been responsible for converting millions of barrels of Syrian Oil into hundreds of millions of dollars of Islamic State revenue.

Russia’s Sergey Lavrov is not one foreign minister known to mince his words.

Just earlier today, 24 hours after a Russian plane was brought down by the country whose president three years ago said “a short-term border violation can never be a pretext for an attack”, had this to say:

“We have serious doubts this was an unintended incident and believe this is a planned provocation” by Turkey.

But even that was tame compared to what Lavrov said to his Turkish counterparty Mevlut Cavusoglu earlier today during a phone call between the two (Lavrov who was supposed to travel to Turkey has since canceled such plans).

I’m thankful for so many things this Thanksgiving that it’s going to take me an entire column just to adequately describe them. Indeed, I’m already so loaded down with gifts that I don’t need Christmas. My cup runneth over! For an old libertarian “isolationist” like me this holiday season is a bountiful time, one that yields so much that it seems like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and my birthday all rolled into one. Take a gander at this wonderful cornucopia of plenty:

An Invisible US Hand Leading to War? Turkey’s Downing of a Russian Jet was an Act of Madness

It is all terribly dangerous and it is hard to predict where things will lead.

This outrageous shootdown of a Russian plane that was in no way posing a threat to Turkey or Turkish forces, will not end here, because Russia and President Putin cannot allow Turkey and NATO to so blatantly act against Russia and its pilots and go unpunished, particularly as it is Russia that is acting legally in Syria, while the US, Turkey and other nations backing rebel forces there are in all acting blatant violation of international law.

Unless saner heads start prevailing in Washington, this could all quickly spiral into the kind of situation in 1914, where a lot of ill-conceived treaties led to a minor incident in the Balkans turning inexorably into World War I.

Breaking: Supreme Court Blocks Racially Discriminatory Hawaii Election

The Supreme Court has just issued an order (read it here) blocking the racially discriminatory separatist election in Hawaii. The order enjoins (stops) the counting of ballots and certification of results pending further order of the Supreme Court. I covered the election here and here at PJ Media.

Only one race is permitted to register to vote with Hawaiian government officials for the separatist election.Hawaii has given a private organization millions of dollars to run the election. They believe these actions are constitutional. Judicial Watch has sued Hawaii, and the Public Interest Legal Foundation has filed an emergency brief with the Supreme Court on behalf of the American Civil Rights Union asking the court to stop the election process. (I was on the brief.)

This morning Justice Kennedy, writing for the court, did so and issued an injunction.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is absurd. The election is for the indigenous Hawaiians to decide the degree of separation they wish from the US Government, an issue that does not affect the non-indigenous people of Hawaii at all. This is a blatant attempt to allow the non-indigenous people of Hawaii to block the sovereignty of the native Hawaiians!

Is Turkey Starting a Proxi-War for NATO?

It is clear, Turkey hosting the recent G20 meeting and subscribing to the east-west ‘coalition’ of fighting the ISIS / DAESH / Al Qaeda terror, was a loosely disguised farce.

Did Turkey just provoke a proxi-war on behalf of NATO against Russia? – Turkey knew very well that the Russian SU-24 fighter jet was inside Syria’s borders and that even as it may have been close to Turkey it was no threat for Turkey. Russia’s mission was clear to all the 19 nations which attended the G20 meeting some 10 days ago in Antalya, Turkey, when the entire group unanimously decided to cooperate in fighting the Islamic State (IS – or Daesh, according to its Arabic acronym).

Turkey Shoots Down More Than Just a Russian Jet

It is only a matter of time before the rhetorical shell game conducted by the terrorist sponsors comes unstuck.

Turkey’s shooting down of a Russian fighter jet this week was likely aimed at a bigger political target – to deal a blow to the proposal of a grand anti-terror coalition between the West and Russia for fighting the Islamic State extremist network in Syria.

Such a coalition might seem reasonable, even desirable, to most people. But it is profoundly unacceptable, tacitly, to Washington because it would further expose the criminal nature of the Western-sponsored regime-change operation in Syria.

Washington and its allies do not want Russia to participate in an effective military coalition that would accelerate the destruction of the mercenary terror army that the Western powers have covertly invested in. In that regard, French President Francois Hollande seems to have momentarily lost the devious plot by proposing such an alliance with Russia.

Walk the Talk Hawaii

The 2 main reasons we are walking :
1) It's a Homeless Awareness Event.
2) This event is a fundraiser for us.

While "people are aware there is a homeless issue", Many people are NOT aware of what the actual issues are that hinders a homeless persons ability to make progress and move their lives forward. Sometimes there are common issues like lack of Birth Certificates and ID's. Sometimes the obstacles are more unique to an individual person.

Our goals with this event are to help the public understand some of these issues, and to raise money to help people overcome their obstacles.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I just met the gentleman who organized this event. Sadly, it is almost over and I did not hear about it because our local Hawaii corporate media, ever mindful to protect the illusion of a healthy Hawaiian economy, avoids stories reporting on the scale of the homeless and hungry here in Hawaii, refused to give this event any coverage.

Hawaiian Natives Move One Step Closer to Declaring Sovereignty from U.S. Government

This week, Native Hawaiians initiated an historical election that may grant them sovereignty from the United States and the state of Hawaii, itself, after well over a century of colonial rule. More than 95,000 indigenous people will elect delegates to a constitutional convention, scheduled for this winter, when they will work to create a government that serves and represents Native Hawaiians — the only group of indigenous people in the United States currently restricted from forming their own government.

In the 19th century, European and American missionaries and traders began settling in Hawaii. They quickly formed a political movement and succeeded in transferring power from the king to his cabinet and the legislature. Though they drafted a new constitution limiting the king’s control, they also limited the voting rights of Asians and Native Hawaiians while granting that right to wealthy non-citizens.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I remember back when I wrote "Hawaii is not legally a state!" all the nasty emails I got declaring the whole ideas of Hawaiians not surrendering their sovereignty to the US Government as a wacky conspiracy theory. But then, they have made that claim about a lot of my early writings which have since proven accurate. However this deal is not perfect. It treats the indigenous Hawaii people as a "nation within a nation" relegating them to the same status and treatment as the native Americans, which if you have ever spent time on the reservations, you understand is pretty bad. Not as bad as the Palestinians have to endure, but still pretty bad!

Just imagine, Kerry, in a propaganda-painted gesture of goodwill, forges the Vienna Peace Conference, this past Friday, 30 October. Why British Haste on Plane Bomb Theory?

Cameron and Obama are evidently being fed intelligence assessments of a bomb being stowed in the airplane's hold by terrorists.

British officials have made an unseemly leap to speculate on a terrorist plot in the Russian airliner crash over Sinai last weekend.

And Russia has understandably reacted furiously to the speculation, saying that it is too early to make such an assessment when crash investigators have not even compiled, let alone evaluated, evidence.

American officials, including President Barack Obama, are also now echoing the British claims of a bomb on the plane. The question is: why the haste?

More Than 100 Monsanto Employees Crashed My Presentation on GE Crops and Pesticides

The company spokespeople had their time on stage, rallying the crowd to cheers of opposition, repeatedly asserting that the information we were sharing was false.... "No one knows agriculture and pesticides more than the people of Moloka‘i."

I couldn’t stop thinking about those 20 or so workers who leaned in. Those eyes that widened as we talked about developmental delays in children, and higher cancer rates in agricultural workers. That we will continue to water these seeds and that this is how transformation grows?

The Empire of Chaos is in a Jam

The no-fly zone in Syria already exists. It is run by Russia and Washington is unable to jam it.

NATO is desperate. The Pentagon is desperate. Imagine waking up one day in Washington and Brussels just to realize Russia has the ability to electronically jam — detect, trace, disable, destroy — NATO electronics within a 600 km range across Syria (and southern Turkey).

Imagine the nightmare of row after row of Russian Richag-AV radar and sonar jamming systems mounted on helicopters and ships jamming everything in sight and finding every available source of electromagnetic radiation. Not only in Syria but also in Ukraine.

They Were There First, But Now Native Hawaiians Have Nowhere to Live

The nation’s most ethnically diverse state is having a huge homelessness problem—but it’s the native people who were there first that are disproportionately ending up on the streets.

At last count, there were 7,260 homeless people in Hawai‘i, giving the islands of Aloha the highest rate of homelessness per capita of any state in the nation. Hawai‘i Gov. David Ige on Friday declared a state of emergency to help the state speed up the process of building a homeless shelter for families.

Programs to help Native Hawaiians find affordable housing in land designated for them can result in a difficult and lengthy process. In 1920 Congress passed the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act creating a 200,000-acre land trust to serve as farms, ranches and neighborhoods for those who could prove “having at least 50% Hawaiian blood.” The properties are leased at a rate of $1 per year.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears that the Hawaiian government has been playing a "waiting game" in terms of how these lands have been, and are being distributed.

I have to wonder which very well-funded developers, contributing to political campaigns here, have actually gotten title to some of these lands, ahead of our indigenous people here in the islands.

The Ancient Esoteric Wisdom of the Hawaiian Huna Philosophy

By Paul Lenda

A long time ago, Hawaii was a mystical and magical place (and still is today in many ways). What made Hawaii especially magical in ages past was that there were shamans called kahunas that lived on its emerald islands. These individuals experienced true nature of Reality, in which they realized several critical defining aspects of reality that were later taught to others in order to guide humanity towards a full Self-realized state of existence.

In the early 20th century, with the rise of New Thought, there was an individual by the name of Max Long who linked the ancient kahunas to abstract and mystical metaphysics he was contemplating upon. He believed the key to Huna is the concept of the ‘ Three Selves’, meaning the unconscious, conscious, and superconscious, which he called the unihipili, the uhane and the aumakua. Also, the word Huna is a Hawaiian word meaning “secret,”but it also refers to the esoteric wisdom of Polynesia.

These changing perceptions are the result of the rise of alternative forms of media, which have broken through the mainstream media’s imbalanced and inaccurate portrayal of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The Jewish state has received unchallenged support by most Jews despite its decades-long occupation of the West Bank and the pursuit of policies toward Palestinians that, were they practiced by any other country, would be overwhelmingly opposed by American Jews.

If the EU, under Merkel’s direction, accedes to Turkey’s demand for setting up safe zones in northern Syria, then that has ominous implications.

Turkey is pressuring Germany to create “safe zones” inside Syria as a “price” for alleviating the EU’s refugee crisis. It’s a Faustian bargain that could escalate the Syrian conflict, where NATO forces could end up pitted against Russia’s military.

The U.S. Navy’s Big Mistake?—Building Tons of Supercarriers

The Pentagon behaves as if aircraft carriers will rule forever … they won’t

“History,” it has been written, “does not repeat itself, but it rhymes.” Today it’s rhyming with Gen. Billy Mitchell. In the 1920s, Mitchell challenged conventional thinking by advocating air power at sea in the face of a naval establishment dominated by battleship proponents.

The hubris of the “battleship Navy” was such that just nine days before Pearl Harbor, the official program for the 1941 Army-Navy game displayed a full page photograph of the battleship USS Arizona with language virtually extolling its invincibility.

Of course, the reason that no one had yet sunk a battleship from the air?—?in combat?—?was that no one had yet tried.

In fact, Mitchell sank a captured German battleship, the Ostfriesland, in an aerial demonstration back in 1921, but the Navy said that the test proved nothing. Two of the observers that day were officials from Japan.

How Putin will Win in Syria

By most accounts, the conflict had deteriorated into a stalemate. Now, with Russia in the picture, that’s changed. Now the table is clearly tilted in Syria’s favor.…

The reason Putin will succeed where the US failed in its war on ISIS, is because the Russian air-strikes are going to be accompanied by a formidable mop-up operation that will overpower the jihadi groups on the ground. This is already happening as we speak. The Russian Air Force has been pounding terrorist targets across the Idlib Governorate for the last few days as well as ISIS strongholds in the East at Raffa. Putin is going to cut through these guys like crap through a goose.

Putin is not going to stop for anything or anyone. He’s going to nail these guys while he has them in his gun-sights, then he’s going to wrap it up and go home.

So the Russian people are proud of the way Putin is fighting the war on terror. Is there something wrong with that? Many Americans are old enough to remember a time when they were proud of their own country too, when it actually stood up for the principles it espouses in its founding documents. That was quite a while ago though, sometime back in the “pre-Gitmo” era”.

Five Leaders Challenging Western Imperialism through Diplomacy, Persuasion, and Public Pressure: Pope Francis, Vladimir Putin, Xi, Jinping, Hassan Rouhani, and Jeremy Corbyn

These five protagonists of a new global agenda differ from past critics from the left both in the style and substance of their politics.

Western imperialism, in all of its manifestation, is being challenged by five political leaders, through diplomacy, moral persuasion and public pressure.

In recent time, Pope Francis, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Labor Party leader Jeremy Corbyn have raised fundamental questions concerning (1) war and peace in the Middle East and the Caucuses; (2) climate change and the destruction of the environment; (3) economic sanctions, military threats and confrontation; and (4) growing inequalities of class, gender and race.

Obama Accuses Russia of Going After America’s “Good Guy Terrorists”

Moscow is supporting both countries (Syria and Iraq) in their proxy war against the ISIL which is supported by the US and its allies.

Until recently, the ISIS was known as Al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI). In 2014, it was renamed the Islamic State (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant).

Russia is Now Involved in the War on Terrorism

A major turning point in the dynamics of the Syria-Iraq war is unfolding. Russia is now directly involved in the counter-terrorism campaign in coordination with the Syrian and Iraqi governments.

Kaleidoscope of Power Games in the Middle-East

So it is alright for the CIA to train anti- Assad terrorists, but not for Russia to fight them on behalf of a democratically elected leader of a sovereign country?

How dare the Syrians elect a President whom a foreign nation – the US of A– wants to remove by it’s traditional ‘regime change’ approach for reasons of (US) ‘national security’ – what an outright BS! – It is no longer a secret that the PNAC (Plan for A New American Century) needs Syria to fall into equal disarray and chaos as did Iraq and Libya – and Sudan, Somalia, Central Africa; Lebanon and of course Iran – and on goes the list – for the ultimate goal: America’s absolute hegemony.

Vladimir Putin’s Address to the United Nations Security Council. Video and Transcript

The UN General Assembly is the United Nations Organisation’s main consultative body and examines the principles for cooperation in ensuring international peace and security.

The Mind of Mr. Putin

Perhaps it is time to climb down off our ideological high horse and start respecting the vital interests of other sovereign nations, even as we protect and defend our own.

If America’s elites continue to assert their right to intervene in the internal affairs of nations, to make them conform to a U.S. ideal of what is a good society and legitimate government, then we are headed for endless conflict. And, one day, this will inevitably result in war, as more and more nations resist America’s moral imperialism.

Nations have a right to be themselves, Putin is saying.

Showdown at the UN Corral – Raimondo

If there was any doubt that Washington has learned absolutely nothing since George W. Bush’s invasion of Iraq, then President Obama’s address to the United Nations has confirmed the world’s worst fears. It was an oration that combined the most egregious lies with the wooly-minded “idealism” that has been such a destructive force in world affairs since the days of Woodrow Wilson.

Question: Were these US-funded Good Guys (in Syria) always Bad Guys in an ill-fitting disguise?

U.S. Government Outlines A Path For Native Hawaiian Recognition

Native Hawaiians have not had a formal government since the Kingdom of Hawaii was overthrown in 1893 by a group of American businessmen, with the support of 300 U.S. Marines.

But that may soon change.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of the Interior proposed a framework for the Native Hawaiian community to re-establish a unified government if it wishes, and to decide what relationship it would have with the United States -- if any.

Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell said in an announcement Tuesday that the proposal is a testament to the Obama administration’s strong support for Native peoples’ right to self-determination.

Webmaster's Commentary:

To all the Hawaii Nation members and friends; please be very careful, and skeptical, as you read through this proposal.

Then, please take a lengthy tour of of American Indian reservations on the mainland, and talk candidly with the people there to find out how their status has lead to their "...right to self-determination."

The Warmonger Presidential Candidates

...the compromised presidential candidates will never gain the guts to set into motion a true America First foreign policy.

In order to fully understand the primal betrayal of genuine American interests, our society has to face the hard reality that the NeoCons and Zionist Israel-First fifth column that controls the bureaucracy of selective orthodox government is the enemy of our own people.

Standing with Israel is a primary reason for the demise of the American Republic.

Illustrating this point, the debate statement from Carly Fiorina, Crackpot Warmonger, exposes the utter absurdity of subordinating our true interests to a rogue regime designed to cause chaos as the meanings to achieve regional dominance.

“On Day One in the Oval Office, I will make two phone calls, the first to my good friend Bibi Netanyahu to reassure him we will stand with the state of Israel.”

Obama’s Syria

Ending Syria’s horrific civil war is possible, but the political will to do so remains elusive.

Over the years the facts on the ground have changed in Syria – with the rise of the Islamic State being the deadliest new reality. But Washington and its regional allies remain focused on an illegal regime change in Damascus. The west is fighting the wrong war and will surely lose the peace.

Regime Change as American as Apple Pie

US President Barack Obama is someone to almost pity. For he has the unenviable task of standing before the nations of the world and smugly spout endless falsehoods — as he did, yet again, during his address to the UN General Assembly.

Clandestine American-led interventions have fuelled the explosion in terror networks across the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa. Yet amid this American legacy of international violence, Obama was charged with painting a rose-tinted view of the world that was breath-taking in its distortion and absurdity.

Obama, Putin to meet at a defining moment

The Russian state agency TASS is not given to speculating on the Kremlin leader’s activities. It is a ground rule set by Joseph Stalin when the agency was created in 1925. Therefore, we must accept as ‘breaking news’ the TASS’ Washington dateline report quoting ‘an informed source’ to the effect that a meeting between Russian president Vladimir Putin and US resident Barack Obama will take place next week on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session.

Obama will do well to cut his way through the neocon shibboleth and comprehend that Russia has been largely reactive – be it in Ukraine, Syria or Afghanistan or on missile defence and the global strategic stability – whereas, the US has trampled on Russia’s vital and legitimate interests and core concerns like a rogue elephant. Amends need to be made. For far too long, Obama chose to tread the trodden path set by Bill Clinton and George W. Bush in the direction of ‘containment’ of Russia.

Iran’s ‘take’ on Russian build-up in Syria

Things were going splendidly for Israel until Russia arrived on the scene as the great ‘spoiler’.

The first detailed Iranian commentary on the Russian military build-up in Syria appeared in a Fars news agency piece.

The Iranian interpretation runs counter to the story being spread by Israel and right-wing American propagandists that the Russian forces intend to join the war in Syria.

The Israeli media even claimed that the Russian intervention in Syria is in active collaboration with the so-called Quds Force of the IRGC. The Israeli disinformation aims to put pressure on the Barack Obama administration not to coordinate with Russia over Syria.

Who Wants a Third World War?

Chinese President Xi Jinping surfs the USA in his first state visit almost simultaneously as Pope Francis. It will be fascinating to observe how the hyperpower’s decision centers will react to this double exposure to dialectical materialism — with Chinese characteristics — and the in thesis “under reconstruction” Catholic Church.

Now compare the Pentagon pivoting — the China chapter — with what IT America wants; business, a lot of business, which implies, obviously, no sanctions.

And then there’s what the Masters of the Universe really crave; some form of coercion that would lead Beijing to open its coveted financial market to the mega-speculative financial casino of the US Big Bank system. That is not happening — as the White House has absolutely no leverage on the matter.

The story holds important truths. It’s essentially about the tough spot AIPAC was put in by the Obama administration’s hardball tactics to protect the achievement of the nuclear deal with Iran, hardly a surprise given the stakes at hand.

Are Devastating Tsunamis Headed for American Cities? “There’s Enough of a Chance”

The Ring of Fire is active. Chile just survived a major tsunami, but are Americans anywhere near as prepared? What happens if a Tsunami hits California or Hawaii, or an earthquake of epic proportions hits Alaska or Los Angeles?

“If the Chileans can evacuate a million people in 15 or 20 minutes, we should be able to do it as well.” [said Costas Synolakis, director of the University of Southern California’s Tsunami Research Center]

But there is no guarantee that Americans are as prepared as people in Chile.

Update: A US petition calling for Netanyahu’s arrest

Benjamin Netanyahu is to hold talks in New york this September. Under international law he should be arrested for war crimes upon arrival in the U.S for the massacre of over 2000 civilians in 2014.

Why the huge difference between US and the Brits?

Last summer, Israel launched Operation Protective Edge, a bloody war against Gaza that killed about 2,300 Palestinians, the vast majority of whom were civilians, including over 500 children. The attack also devastated Gaza’s infrastructure, and left about 500,000 people displaced or homeless. These war crimes and others, like Israel’s recent attack on the Freedom Flotilla, which sought to bring medical aid and solar panels to the Port of Gaza, have given rise to increased calls for Israel to be tried before the International Criminal Court.

UK Labour Party revolution

The election of veteran socialist Jeremy Corbyn to lead the Labour Party in the UK is a revolution by all means. In a party grassroots election, the 66-year-old outsider defeated a line-up of traditional Labour candidates.

Corbyn’s victory was a rejection of Tony Blair’s wing as much as it was a swing to the left. Blair, who came back from hibernation to campaign against Corbyn, was rebuffed by the rank and file of the Labour Party. Party membership didn’t forgive Blair’s disgraceful servitude role to George Bush and his Israeli fabricated “dossier” to sell the invasion of Iraq.

Iran Key to Unlocking US Hypocrisy on Global Terrorism

Iran’s three decades of battling Western state-sponsored terrorism within its borders...

The Iranian authorities claim to have compiled records of 17,000 victims of terrorism committed by such groups as MEK and Jundallah since the 1979 revolution. Details were presented at a recent international conference held in Tehran.

As well as ordinary citizens, such as Masoumeh’s mother mentioned above, the targets of assassination have included high-profile public figures: Iranian members of parliament, attorneys, government ministers, army generals and newspaper editors. In one of the most audacious attacks, in 1981, Iran’s prime minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar and the country’s president Modhammad Ali Rajai were both killed in a bomb blast carried out on the premier’s residence in the capital, Tehran.

All Republican Presidential Candidates Stand For War

There is not a peaceful person among the Republican candidates. Even the female is heartless.

Here is Carla Fiorina at the debate describing the way she will lead us to Armageddon. She won’t talk to Putin, but she will send him “the message” via military threats:

“Having met Vladimir Putin, I wouldn’t talk to him at all. We’ve talked way too much to him. What I would do, immediately, is begin rebuilding the Sixth Fleet, I would begin rebuilding the missile defense program in Poland, I would conduct regular, aggressive military exercises in the Baltic states. I’d probably send a few thousand more troops into Germany. Vladimir Putin would get the message. . . . Russia is a bad actor, but Vladimir Putin is someone we should not talk to, because the only way he will stop is to sense strength and resolve on the other side, and we have all of that within our control. We could rebuild the Sixth Fleet. I will. We haven’t. We could rebuild the missile defense program. We haven’t. I will.”

The Republican Candidates Just Can’t Quit Neoconservatism

With the exception of Rand Paul, the GOP field remained in thrall to a bankrupt neoconservative ideology.

Migrants, Refugees, Clandestines and… Jihadis

What else is new? The Empire of Chaos specializes in breaking, not fixing.

The plight of the refugees could become the perfect excuse to precipitate a new R2P (responsibility to protect) war; Libya remixed, with fighting ISIL barely disguising the real agenda: regime change in Damascus.

So Europe has suddenly, miraculously “discovered” that the civil war/proxy war raging in Syria since early 2011 has hemorrhaged into an extremely serious refugee crisis.

European Sturm und Drang on what to do about the refugee drama is unprecedented in modern times. Bitterness permeates the fault lines separating fear and intolerance from generosity and solidarity.

Among quite a few progressive circles, there are widespread fears that the current Western media campaign centered on the plight of refugees may be a catalyst to prepare European-wide public opinion for an all-out war in Syria before the end of 2015.

A Refugee Crisis Made in America – Philip Giraldi

Will the U.S. accept responsibility for the humanitarian consequences of Washington-manufactured wars?

It is perhaps past time for Washington to begin to become accountable for what it does.

The world media is following the refugee crisis by focusing primarily on the inability of unprepared local governments to deal with the numbers of migrants, asking why someone somewhere can’t just “do something.” This means that somehow, as a result, the vast human tragedy has been reduced to a statistic and, inevitably, a political football.

Refugees as Weapon – and Germany shifting Alliances?

Germany alongside Russia might indeed defend and help preserve the Assad government, together with Iran the two stabilizing factors in the Middle East.

As a parallel or backup plan, the unholy alliance between Washington, NATO and Turkey agreed to open Turkey’s flood gates for refugees, actually promoting the exodus to gain free reign in the safe heavens and to build up a mass of refugees – most of whom want to flee to Germany – which in the right moment could be let go and cause the right pressure or destabilization effects in Europe. Well, this is just happening.

Putin’s Line in the Sand: No Regime Change in Syria

By allowing US F-16s to patrol the skies over Syria, Washington will impose a de facto no-fly zone over the country severely limiting Assad’s ability to battle the US-backed militias that have seized large swaths of the countryside and are now descending on Damascus.

The Syrian war can be divided into two parts: The pre-Incirlik period and the post-Incirlik period. The pre-Incirlik period is roughly the four year stretch during which US-backed Islamic militias and al Qaida-linked groups fought the Syrian army with the intention of removing President Bashar al Assad from power. This first phase of the war ended in a draw.

A Fly in the Ointment of Colbert’s Opening Show

We will be watching Stephen Colbert to see where his comedy takes him next.

While awaiting the final congressional vote that will confirm that President Obama has defeated the Zionist juggernaut which spent millions to block the Iran Nuclear deal, we must pause to consider a major moment in entertainment television.

The entertainment news has to do with the CBS network arrival of Stephen Colbert, who last week succeeded David Letterman as host of The Late Show (11:30 EST).

Even there, alas, the Zionist juggernaut lurks. You will have to look closely to see it, but there was a fly in the ointment of the otherwise successful launch of the next chapter of Colbert’s career.

Supporters of the BDS movement were quick to identify the fly.

RECKLESS HYPOCRISY – The Folly of Self-Righteous Indignation

Iran has not been and is not intending to build a nuclear arsenal; but who can admit that fact – Obama, Clinton, Kerry?

Could we expect President Obama to confess that Iran’s nuclear ambitions to develop a bomb has been a politically motivated fictional narrative serving other purposes? Could he advocate the idea that replacing Israel with Iran would be the most “advantageous” step to pursue America’s true strategic interests in the Middle East? No, not in this lifetime!

Therefore, the hardline, even sounding like a born again-neoconservative, rhetoric by Hillary Clinton that the United States under her presidency would take an extremely hawkish position against any Iranian intransigence is as genuine a threat as threatening to nuke Iran if the Supreme Leader jumps over the moon!! Iran has not been and is not intending to build a nuclear arsenal; but who can admit that fact – Obama, Clinton, Kerry?

Burned alive by Israelis

Incinerating humans whether in a gas chamber, military attack, by injecting petrol into the mouth or throwing a torch through a window all have one thing in common: burning is how racists manifest hate.

Five years ago at a stop during my book signing tour in San Diego, I met an adorable toddler named Farah.

She was being treated in the US for severe burns she received at the age of two.

Farah was one of thousands of civilians who were either injured or killed when Israel rained white phosphorus bombs on Gaza in 2008-2009.

The phosphorus that burned through Farah’s angelic flesh was American made and paid for by US taxpayers. Ironically, so was Farah’s treatment.

Last Sunday, mother of two Reham Dewabsha died from burn injuries.
