Pompeo: Iran "Ransom" Payment Is Obama’s Iran-Contra Scandal

Rep. Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.) slammed the Obama administration on Wednesday for taking “lawless” steps to provide Iran with $400 million in “pallets of cash” as part of a so-called ransom payment to free imprisoned Americans, according to comments provided to the Washington Free Beacon.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The good news is that the corporate media now has something to talk about that ISN'T Hillary Clinton's scandals!!!!!!!

An Angry White House Snaps Over Secret Iran "Hostage" Payment: "Why Is That Relevant"

Having been exposed for giving $1.7 billion of US taxpayer money to Iran - coincidental (we are told to believe) with the release of 4 Americans and the signing of the US-Iran nuclear accord - The White House is coming out swinging.

Trump didn't waste any time:

"Our incompetent Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was the one who started talks to give 400 million, in cash, to Iran. Scandal!" he tweeted.
And then, as RealClearPolitics reports, White House spokesman Josh Earnest today accused critics of the Iran nuclear deal of "lying to the American public" for questioning whether a $400 million cash payment to Iran could have been used to fund terrorism.

Read that again! But Earnest then went on to say that while admitting the cash was handed over, it was also possible it was used for nefarious activities...

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am almost starting to feel sorry for those White House spokes-slugs.

Almost...

White House Caught Secretly Airlifting $1.7 Billion US Taxpayer Cash To Tehran To Ensure Iran Nuclear Accord Success

What Donald Trump has proclaimed the worst deal ever made, may just have become worst-er. The shocking truth behind the US-Iran nuclear deal, as WSJ reports, is that John Kerry and the Obama Administration airlifted $1.7bn of cash in 'compromise' payments (read - bribe) to Tehran to ensure the release of 4 captured sailors coincidentally the same weekend as the signing of the nuclear deal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Iran, Iraq, the banks .... no matter what the US Government screws up, YOU get to pay for it all!

U.S. Sent Cash to Iran as Americans Were Freed

The Obama administration secretly organized an airlift of $400 million worth of cash to Iran that coincided with the January release of four Americans detained in Tehran, according to U.S. and European officials and congressional staff briefed on the operation afterward.

Wooden pallets stacked with euros, Swiss francs and other currencies were flown into Iran on an unmarked cargo plane, according to these officials. The U.S. procured the money from the central banks of the Netherlands and Switzerland, they said.

The money represented the first installment of a $1.7 billion settlement the Obama administration reached with Iran to resolve a decades-old dispute over a failed arms deal signed just before the 1979 fall of Iran’s last monarch, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

Iran's Leader Accuses US of Assisting Coup in Turkey

"In the recent events in Turkey, there is a strong accusation that the coup was staged by the Americans' measures and preparations and if this issue is proved, it will be a big scandal for the US," Ayatollah Khamenei said, addressing a large gathering of Iranian people from all walks of life in Tehran on Monday. He referred to Turkey's good relations with the US as a regional ally, and said, "The Americans are opposed to Islam and Islamic tendencies and therefore, they have staged coup in Turkey where there are Islamic tendencies." In Signal to Military, Hillary Clinton Picks Senator Tim Kaine as Running Mate

In selecting Kaine, Clinton is making clear that she plans on running a right-wing, pro-war campaign targeted at winning over the military and sections of the Republican Party dissatisfied with Trump, and particularly with the Republican candidate’s attitude toward Russia. Clinton also wanted to repudiate any association with the issues of social inequality that motivated the widespread support for her main rival in the primaries, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

Kaine is among the most hawkish figures among Senate Democrats. As governor of Virginia from 2006 to 2010, Kaine oversaw billions of dollars in cuts to the state budget. The state of Virginia is a major center for the military and defense industry, and is home to the Pentagon and the headquarters of the CIA.

Between 2009 and 2011, Kaine served as the head of the Democratic National Committee, the leadership body of the Democratic Party. He is close to Wall Street, having recently backed measures to deregulate banks.

THE US-SAUDI PLAN TO PROMPT AN IRANIAN PULLBACK FROM SYRIA

The US and Saudi Arabia have been conspiring with one another to engineer a series of crises that could prompt Iran to pull back its troops in Syria and redeploy them back to the homeland. The modus operandi has been to encourage peripheral insurgencies inside the Islamic Republic’s borderland regions concurrent with a terrorist threat to the interior, all while stirring up Color Revolution commotion. In short, Washington and Riyadh are working hard to wage a multidimensional Hybrid War on Iran, and all indications point to each respective component of this campaign intensifying in the coming months as the US turns up the heat against its decades-long Mideast rival.

The Trump phenom is about economic insecurity. This isn’t about ideology, or racism, it’s about reality;

That’s the reality that made Trump possible, and that’s what this election is about, economic insecurity.

SAVAK Terrorism & US Multinationals

Wherever the Four Horsemen (Exxon Mobil, Chevron Texaco, BP Amoco & Royal Dutch/Shell) gallop the CIA is close behind. Iran was no exception. By 1957 the Company, as intelligence insiders know the CIA, created one of its first Frankensteins – the Shah of Iran’s brutal secret police known as SAVAK.

Kermit Roosevelt, the Mossadegh coup-master turned Northrop salesman, admitted in his memoirs that SAVAK was 100% created by the CIA and Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency that acts as appendage of the CIA. For the next 20 years the CIA and SAVAK were joined at the hip when it came to matters of Persian Gulf security.

IRGC Disbands Terrorist Group in Western Iran, Kills 1

A senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that another terrorist group has been dismantled in Western Iran. "A team of terrorists who were trying to cross Iran border with Turkey was dismantled on Thursday by the IRGC forces," Salmas IRGC Commander Colonel Alireza Madani said on Thursday night. He noted that IRGC forces realized that four terrorists were trying to enter Iran through the Turkish border in a region 25 kilometers from the city of Salmas. "Two of the terrorists managed to flee, one of them was arrested and another one killed during the IRGC operation," Colonel Madani added. He reiterated that on the basis of the intelligence tips received by the IRGC, the four terrorists were counterrevolutionary elements living in neighboring Turkey. "They wanted to launch terrorist activities in Iran, but their plans were aborted," Colonel Madani added. He said that several machineguns and ammunition were also seized from the terrorists.

Flynn: This is where I think the world has misread Donald Trump. He has no intention to step away without examining all relationships that we have. His intent is to relook at the way we are organized globally, where the US is sort of expected to be a global leader, but relook at these alliances and these charters that we are under to make sure that they are still viable for the 21st century. Iran Sticks to Terms of Nuclear Deal, but Defies the U.S. in Other Ways

A year after President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, the worst predictions of what would happen next have not come to pass.

The Iranians, defying the expectations of the deal’s most vociferous critics, gave up 98 percent of their nuclear material. They dismantled thousands of centrifuges and filled the core of a major plutonium reactor with cement. Inspectors roam their facilities.

By late January, even Israel’s top military officer said he was impressed. “The deal has actually removed the most serious danger to Israel’s existence for the foreseeable future,” Lt. Gen. Gadi Eisenkot, the chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces, told a conference in Tel Aviv, “and greatly reduced the threat over the longer term.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

But Iran is "defiant", so it's okay for the US to renege on their part of the deal!

US Hostility Toward Iran Persists. Billions of Dollars of Iranian Assets Remain Frozen

Billions of dollars of Iranian assets remain frozen. Tehran is wrongfully blamed for regional terrorism and elsewhere. Congress earlier passed legislation authorizing Iranian assets be used to compensate victims of Israeli Mossad terrorism – wrongfully blamed on the Islamic Republic.

In April 2016, the Supreme Court shamelessly ruled Tehran must pay families of victims and survivors nearly $2 billion in compensation – including victims of other attacks wrongfully linked to Iran.

High crimes committed by America, NATO, Israel, Saudi Arabia and other regional rogue states go unpunished – Iran targeted to pay compensation to their victims. Injustice persists.

Tehran is blocked from access to America’s international financial clearing system, its banks unable to use US dollars to conduct transactions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I very much dislike the degree to which Israeli foreign policy and agenda poisons that of the US government; because many times, those issues which Israel sees as good for its national trajectory are really lousy for the American people, and do not support the goals of peace and prosperity for Americans, which should be the very first concerns addressed any alleged American Congressional Representative.

The US-Led Militarization of Southeast Asia. China, Russia, North Korea and Iran Are Targets in Pentagon World War III Scenarios

There are two central issues, Professor Chossudovsky explained. “One is the fact that the United States has a project to militarize the Asia Pacific region, specifically threatening China. The other issue is …the [territorial] disputes between China, the Philippines, Vietnam, etc.”

The second issue, according to the analyst, would be much easier to resolve if it weren’t for US involvement, which is using the territorial disputes as part of its so-called ‘pivot to Asia’, “essentially preventing these countries from reaching negotiations, and building a situation of crisis within the Asia-Pacific region.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is painfully apparent that the folks in Foggy Bottom (DC) have collectively lost their reality license, to believe that they can simultaneously take on all of these countries.

China will come to the aid of North Korea; and Russia will come to the aid of Iran, if attacked; and China will come to the aid of Russia if attacked, and the converse will be true as well.

And the aspect to all of this which is completely confounding is, how do the players at the Pentagon, State Department, and White House believe that there can be a successful outcome to these wars, when the US military doesn't have the weaponry, the troop strength, the manufacturing, or the money to insure that successful outcome?!?

This is utter madness, writ large; and unfortunately, just because something the US government could do would be the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing it could do, is utterly no guarantee that it will not do just that.

The US government's weapons procurement system is absolutely incestuous, because those same corporations wanting weapons and systems contracts support the candidacies of those Representatives in Congress, overtly and covertly, who green light them.

The resulting products are, far too frequently, weapons which under-perform; are hideously expensive, and late, and incapable of keeping up with strides made by weapons developers in countries like China and Russia.

Please understand; I hate war as a method of resolving geopolitical disputes.

Having said that, however, when weapons are deployed in conflict, I want them to work beyond the expectations of our military personnel.

Putin does not want war. He is doing everything in his power to avoid it.

The trip-point of World War III will be the installation of Washington’s missiles in Poland and Romania. As Putin recently made clear to the imbecilic Western journalists, these missiles can easily and secretly be changed from anti-ballistic missiles to nuclear attack missiles that can strike their Russian targets within 5 or fewer minutes of launch, thus depriving Russia of its retaliatory deterrent. Once these missiles are in place, Washington can issue orders to Russia.

Whatever the evil men and women in Washington who are gambling with the life of the planet think, Russia is not going to accept these missiles.

CLASHES BETWEEN SYRIAN ARMY, KURDS PUSHES BRZEZINSKI PLAN FORWARD IN SYRIA

Why the Clashes?

The clashes between the Syrian government and the YPG Kurdish forces (notably not the Kurdish people themselves) has been a virtual inevitability since the informal declaration of a “Rojava” administration by the YPG in 2013 when the “Kurdish areas” found some level of autonomy due to a lack of government presence as the SAA began losing territory to Western-backed terrorists. Certainly, the potential for violence increased with the official declaration of Rojava autonomy in 2016. This is simply because the goal of the YPG has always been nothing more than the establishment of a “Kurdistan,” a separate enclave run by Communist YPG forces who routinely terrorize, abuse, disenfranchise, and kill Assyrians, Christians, and other non-Kurdish peoples in areas they control (see here, here, here, and here).

US veterans on Chilcot: we need our own inquiry to avoid repeating mistakes

UK’s investigation into Iraq invasion is ‘example of what we could do with political courage’, says codirector of Iraq Veterans against the War.

Following the devastating British inquiry into the 2003 invasion of Iraq, American veterans and their families have warned that the US is liable to repeat the mistakes without a similarly comprehensive investigation.

The UK’s Chilcot inquiry was released on Wednesday, and while it is no secret in the US that the invasion was a failure, nothing so damning as the 2.6m-word British inquiry has been released by an independent US government body.

Chilcot and the End of the Anglosphere – Justin Raimondo

Bush’s poodle subordinated British sovereignty – and precipitated a disaster.

Do we really need a 2.6 million word report on how Bush’s poodle, a.k.a. former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, allowed his country to be pulled into a conflict that claimed hundreds of British lives, thousands of American lives, and at least 150,000 Iraqi lives, while plunging the entire region into a maelstrom of terroristic chaos?

A good decade after being announced, the Chilcot report has finally been released, and what it shows is that the phrase “Bush’s poodle” is blatantly unfair to poodles: after all, even a poodle is known to have gone off its leash every once in a while – but not Tony.

It’s unfortunate that he dignifies the evil Iraq war conspiracy by suggesting it had anything to do with policy of the British people. It was a private venture, pledged in secret, by a Labour prime minister and his closest henchmen, and backed by the Cabinet.

Iraq Verdict: Trouble if heads don’t roll

First and foremost it was not so much a foreign policy disaster as a flat-out war crime for which Blair as chief perpetrator must be tried. And so must his Cabinet, who carry collective responsibility.

There will be mega-trouble if heads don’t roll.

Trump Hammers On Brexit, “Independence Day” And Repudiation Of Rule By The Global Elite

Globalists and Neocons Prove Incapable of Understanding Reality

If Trump wants to put America first, he needs to start firing the Neoconservatives and their lackeys from the White House and putting them on trial for making Americans look really bad.

Rather than listening and learning and modifying their actions, the ruling elites stick to “more of the same.” This process clearly emblematized by the endless procession of Bushes and Clintons replacing each other in the positions of power.

Iran boasts of having 'more than 100,000 missiles' ready to strike Israel and vows to 'liberate' the territory 'if the Zionists make a wrong move'

Hossein Salami, deputy head of Iran's Revolutionary Guard, said his country stood with the 'dispossessed' Palestinian state and had long-range weapons ready to fire from Lebanon.

'Today, the grounds for the annihilation and collapse of the Zionist regime are [present] more than ever,' he told Iranian Tasnim News Agency.

There are 'tens of thousands of destructive long-range missiles' ready and 'aimed at occupied' Israel.'

'If the Zionists make a wrong move, all the occupied territories will come under attack from dedicated fighters and, God willing, the territories will be liberated,' Salami warned.

Corbyn: Clowns to the left of him, jokers to the right

Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right, here I am...

A political beacon is about to be extinguished unless he breaks with the doomed Labour Party and sets up on his own

Well I don’t know why I came here tonight
I got the feeling that something ain’t right,
I’m so scared in case I fall off my chair,
And I’m wondering how I’ll get down the stairs,
Clowns to the left of me,
Jokers to the right, here I am,
Stuck in the middle with you.
Yes I’m stuck in the middle with you,
And I’m wondering what it is I should do,
It’s so hard to keep this smile from my face,
Losing control, yeah, I’m all over the place,
Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right…

Victory Is Possible – Israel Shamir

Brexit is a game-changing event. Now Euro-sceptics all over Europe has got fresh wind in their sails.

Few people expected the positive outcome of Brexit referendum. Among other doubters, I expected the UK government will borrow a trick from the Clinton collection, and proclaim the "Bremain" hath it.

The political establishment of both leading parties, the Tories and Labour, wished to remain in the cosy lap of the EC. This was the will of the Bank of England, and of the City of London; of the powerful media lords, of the creative minority of yuppies, of cosmopolitan intellectuals.

U.S. Policies Today Mirror the CIA’s 1953 Iranian Coup

The U.S. government, largely for British interests, a for a few privately-held companies, overthrew Iran’s government and continued to intervene in its socio-economic affairs. As a result, Iranians were denied access to be able to earn a living or live peacefully without fear, torture, or threats of war.

Previous to the Dulles brothers’ actions, a brutal totalitarian regime did not exist in Iran.

The Dulles brothers replaced Iran’s democratic government with an Islamic dictatorship under Mohammad-Reza Shah, whom the U.S. deemed a Cold War ally. The Shah terrorized Iranians for 25 years—using a ruthless secret police, known as SAVAK (equal to, if not worse than, the Nazi Geheime Schutzstaffel Gestapo/SS and Soviet secret police NKVD Troika), which the CIA created.

The General blasted the Manama regime for its "unacceptable and inhuman oppression, discrimination, injustice and humiliation" against the Muslim Bahraini nation, and said people on the tiny Persian Gulf island have so far tolerated the Al-Khalifa regime's apartheid and heavy pressures and continued their uprising peacefully despite the fact that a number of their political and religious leaders have been arrested, their women and children have been imprisoned and tortured, some others have been stripped of their citizenship and undergone intensifying pressures with their rights trampled upon.

Yet, he called on Iranian trade officials to do their best to take the opportunities provided by the nuclear agreement. On Tuesday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani rapped Washington for not remaining loyal to its undertakings based on the July nuclear deal, but meantime, said Tehran will continue the path of negotiations to resolve problems.

In meeting with Orthodox, Trump reveals Israel advisers: His Jewish lawyers

NEW YORK (JTA) – There were a few things Donald Trump made clear when he met Thursday with a select group of Jewish reporters, almost all of them Orthodox, at his corporate offices in Manhattan.

Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly was the one who initiated Wednesday’s one-on-one powwow with Trump to mend fences, not him. He’s a great friend of Israel. He has many Orthodox Jewish friends, including his chief lawyer, Jason D. Greenblatt. And he considers himself a very loyal boss.

But in a 20-minute question-and-answer session that touched on religious liberty in the workplace, U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East and federal education tax credits, Trump offered scant details.

On some substantive policy questions, the Republican front-runner for president didn’t answer at all, instead delegating the question to Greenblatt, a real estate attorney from Teaneck, New Jersey — one of two people he said he’d appoint as his White House Israel policy advisers.

Hillary Clinton: Electing a Foreign Spy for President?

As Sherlock Holmes would say, “We are entering in deep waters, Watson”.

The executive leadership now faces the problem of how to deal with a traitor, who may be the Democratic Party nominee for US President. How do the executive leadership and intelligence agencies back a foreign spy for president, who has been deeply compromised and can be blackmailed? This may explain why the FBI, NSA, and CIA hesitate to press charges; hesitate to even seriously investigate, despite the obvious nature of her offenses. Most of all it explains why there is no indication of the identity of Secretary Clinton’s correspondents in the various reports so far available.

Did Clinton’s Emails Expose CIA Agents?

Even as Hillary Clinton closes in on the Democratic nomination, facts continue to emerge indicating that her sloppy email practices may have endangered secrets, including the identities of covert operatives, writes Peter Van Buren.

These are facts. You can look at the source documents yourself. This is not opinion, conjecture, or rumor. Hillary Clinton transmitted the names of American intelligence officials via her unclassified email.

From a series of Clinton emails, numerous names were redacted in the State Department releases with the classification code “B3 CIA PERS/ORG,” a highly specialized classification that means the information, if released, would violate the Central Intelligence Act of 1949 by exposing the names of CIA officials.

Electing a Foreign Spy for President?

As Sherlock Holmes would say, “We are entering in deep waters, Watson”.

There are several lines of inquiry against Mme. Clinton:

(1) Did she work with, as yet unnamed, foreign governments and intelligence services to strengthen their positions and against the interest of the United States?

(2) Did she provide information on the operations and policy positions of various key US policymakers to competitors, adversaries or allies undermining the activities of military, intelligence and State Department officials?

(3) Did she seek to enhance her personal power within the US administration to push her aggressive policy of serial pre-emptive wars over and against veteran State Department and Pentagon officials who favored traditional diplomacy and less violent confrontation?

(4) Did she prepare a ‘covert team’, using foreign or dual national operative, to lay the groundwork for her bid for the presidency and her ultimate goal of supreme military and political power?

Hillary Clinton Threatens War With Iran If Trump Wins

Clinton threatened that the United States could disarm Iran by military action and warned that “They’ll be celebrating in the Kremlin” if Trump wins. Clinton said that it is imperative not to allow Russian leader Vladimir Putin, an ally of Iran, to celebrate. Clinton also said that a U.S. “vacuum” overseas would allow other countries to dictate policy around the globe. Clinton also took credit for the Iran deal that allows that Islamic country to continue its nuclear program—which keeps Clinton’s hypothetical war with Iran on the table.

Clinton said this in San Diego on Thursday. “The world must understand that the United States will act decisively if necessary, including with military action, to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon,” Clinton said.

O’Keefe told his audiences that we won’t solve our biggest problems until we understand that we have been subjugated by an international financial system that concentrates power in the hands of an ultra-rich and very shadowy elite. And this elite routinely uses war as a tool to increase its power.

“I’ve travelled all over this world, and we are all basically the same,” he said in his first Toronto talk. “We don’t want war. But we have war – all the time. Why? What can divide people more than killing each other?”

Christopher Bollyn: How Israel Created the Fiend for the War on Terror

The War on Terror is essentially an Israeli war strategy. It was first promoted on the world stage by Benjamin Netanyahu and Menachem Begin (of the terrorist Likud party) at the Jerusalem Conference hosted by the Netanyahu Institute in July 1979.

According to the War on Terror doctrine advocated by Netanyahu, "Islamic terrorists" attack Israel because it is a Western state with Western values. The West, Netanyahu says, is the real target so the U.S. must lead the West in waging a global War on Terror to destroy Islamic terrorists and the regimes that support them. This is exactly what the United States has done since 9/11, at incredible expense to its own population, leaving a trail of devastated nations in its wake.

The Israeli construct was designed to get the U.S. to destroy the enemies of the Zionist state. The Israelis developed the War on Terror construct and then created the Islamic opponent, al Qaida, to serve as the antithesis – the virulent enemy of the West. The real purpose of al Qaida, and its subsequent iterations like ISIS, is to be a moving target used to destabilize and destroy sovereign countries, like Syria, while sustaining the illusion of an Islamic antithesis, posing a mortal threat to the security of the West. The Zionist-controlled media is the essential element in selling the fraudulent War on Terror to the public.

FLASHBACK - 9/11: Cover For A Coup D'Etat?

September 11th 2001. The day that will forever live in infamy as the day when the reset button was hit on over two centuries of American history and allowed for the new doctrines of preemptive war, the domestic police state and the codifying of torture into the law of the land. The real meaning as well as the cause of 9/11 continues to resonate and be debated throughout the alternative media and the blogosphere despite the sanctimonious reverence given to it by the corporate, state controlled mainstream media where those who dare to even suggest that it was blowback are shouted down by angry demagogues standing atop their electronic soapboxes. That one single day more than anything else has been used as the justification the rise of the new American fascist state and the illegal wars of aggression that feed the colossus that is the military industrial complex.

Primary U.S. embargo on Iran remains despite lifting of nuclear-related sanctions: official

The U.S. has lifted all nuclear-related sanctions as promised in the nuclear deal with Iran, but has not changed the primary U.S. embargo on the Islamic Republic, said an official of the U.S. Treasury Department Wednesday.

The U.S. will continue to prohibit Americans from investing in Iran, importing or exporting to Iran most goods or services, or otherwise engaging in commercial or financial dealings with most Iranian persons or companies, said Adam Szubin, acting under secretary of the Treasury Department, adding that the embargo long pre-dates Washington's concerns with Tehran's nuclear program.

"Along these lines, let me also say clearly that we have not promised, nor do we have any plans, to give Iran access to the U.S. financial system," Szubin said before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Webmaster's Commentary:

U.S., Russia stalemate on Syria frustrates European powers

The Obama administration's failure to convince Moscow that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad must go is fuelling European frustration at being sidelined in efforts to end the country's five-year civil war, diplomats say. Some diplomats and analysts question whether the United States has misread Russia's desire to keep Assad in power.

"Many have consistently underestimated Russia's determination to prevent this regime from falling," said Philip Gordon, a former National Security Council aide to U.S. President Barack Obama. "They've been pretty clear that they're not prepared to let this happen."

Ahead of a meeting on Tuesday of the 17-nation group backing Syria peace talks in Vienna, a senior U.N. diplomat, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Europeans "tend to be pretty skeptical about the U.S.-Russia bilateralism."

Webmaster's Commentary:

This situation is very clear-cut; the US government wants Al-Assad out, and by any means necessary, and soon.

Russia will do everything possible to make sure that does not happen, until a true political transition is agreed upon by all parties, with Al-Assad staying during the transition at least for some period of time.

Regime change in Syria will make the long planned invasion of Iran by the US military easier (they think).

But should Iran be invaded, Russia will come to its aid militarily; various high profile politicians and military personnel have stated this very publicly.

With US troops on the ground in Syria (and we still don't know the real numbers on this), it is only a question of time before we see some degree of military escalation between Russia and the US government over Syria, and potentially Iran; unfortunately, this is inevitable.

ISRAELI LEADER: IRAN MOCKS WWII HOLOCAUST, PREPARES ANOTHER

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lashed out at Iran Sunday for staging a Holocaust-themed cartoon contest that mocked the Nazi genocide of six million Jews during World War II and said the Islamic Republic was busy planning for another one.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A short memo to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu: the Holocaust-themed cartoon contest may be in horrific taste, but you are absolutely lying when you state that Iran is busy planning for a new Holocaust.

Iranian leadership may be many things, but stupid is not one of them. They understand, clearly, that their country would be zorched into a sea of molten glass if they try anything as crazy as a military strike against Israel, because the retaliation, from both the US and Israel, would be nuclear should they dare do such a thing.

They, too, love their kids, and want them to have a decent future.

And another thing: President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad never said he wanted to wipe Israel off the map. As reported at globalresearch.ca:

So what did Ahmadinejad actually say? To quote his exact words in farsi: ”Imam ghoft een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad.” That passage will mean nothing to most people, but one word might ring a bell: rezhim-e. It is the word “Regime“, pronounced just like the English word with an extra “eh” sound at the end. Ahmadinejad did not refer to Israel the country or Israel the land mass, but the Israeli regime. This is a vastly significant distinction, as one cannot wipe a regime off the map. Ahmadinejad does not even refer to Israel by name, he instead uses the specific phrase ”rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods” (regime occupying Jerusalem).

Mr. Prime Minister, as an erudite man, you know this to be true, rather then the fabrication you've created.. And yet you continue with this lie as though it were the truth.

Can you not understand that statements like this "Netan-bloviation" just completely demolishes any shred of credibility you might have had, not only with the Israeli electorate, but also with the world at large?!?

Do you want to go down in history as one Israel's bravest prime minister?!?

Then, sir, travel to Tehran, and negotiate a comprehensive peace deal with Iran, which includes both Israel's and Palestine's right to exist, mutual trade with Iran, educational and scientific cooperation.

THAT would take... real "male attributes!!

Hillary Clinton: “If I’m President, We Will Attack Iran… We would be Able to Totally Obliterate Them.”

As a 2008 presidential aspirant, she addressed AIPAC’s annual convention saying:

The United States stands with Israel now and forever. We have shared interests….shared ideals….common values. I have a bedrock commitment to Israel’s security.

(O)ur two nations are fighting a shared threat” against Islamic extremism. I strongly support Israel’s right to self-defense (and) believe America should aid in that defense.

I am committed to making sure that Israel maintains a military edge to meet increasing threats. I am deeply concerned about the growing threat in Gaza (and) Hamas’ campaign of terror.

No such campaign exists. The only threats Israel faces are ones it invents.

Clinton repeated tired old lies saying Hamas’ charter “calls for the destruction of Israel. Iran threatens to destroy Israel.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The degree to which Clinton is able to continue to swallow, then spew, the hubristic rhetoric of Bibi Netanyahu on Iran is nothing short of completely amazing; if this was a world class sporting event, Hillary would definitely win the gold.

Please remember; a Clinton presidency will mean more wars; more income inequality; more federal debt; more outsourcing/offshoring of American jobs; more illegal immigration and subsequent diminution of American wages; and an increasingly fractured United States of America.

The Iranians may be many things; one of those, however, is not stupid. They do understand that any attempt at any attacks on Israel will result on their country being transformed into a molten sea of green glass by US/Israeli nuclear weapons.

Interestingly, one question regarding Iran which no one in the alleged press corps will ask her is, "If the US unilaterally attacks Iran, what will Russia do?!?

There is one video I would encourage everyone who reads WRH to see: it is titled "Don't tell My Mother I'm In Iran", and focuses on the adventures of a very charming Jewish videographer in Tehran, to investigate how the Jews in Iran are doing.

Navy Fires Commander in Fallout of US Sailors Captured by Iran in January

On Thursday, the Navy dismissed the commander of ten American sailors who were captured and detained for 15 hours by Iran after unlawfully sailing into Iranian territorial waters in January. The incident created a diplomatic row between the two countries, nearly extinguishing the US-Iran nuclear deal at the final moment.

Neocons Want Iran Nuclear Deal Rescinded

In a Monday Independent Journal op-ed, neocon House Speaker Paul Ryan claimed Obama “misled the American people on the Iran (nuclear) deal…Everything about (it) is starting to unravel.”

Nothing supports his baseless claims. Tehran’s best faith efforts along with four of the other P5 countries plus Germany may go for naught if neocons infesting Washington get their way.

Longstanding US policy toward Iran remains hostile - solely for its sovereign independence, unrelated to its nuclear program, well known to be peaceful without a military component or intention to have one.

Ryan and likeminded neocons want Iran kept isolated, the nuclear deal rescinded and regime change actively pursued. He opposes even modest changes in longstanding hostile policy.

Iranian Admiral Threatens to Sink Us Ships in Persian Gulf

The US government still views Iran as a defiant regime that won’t bend to their interests, and the Iranians have no reason to believe that our government is altruistic after we provided so much clandestine support to the rebels in Syria. And frankly, they’ll probably never trust us so long as we’re allied with Saudi Arabia.

Which explains why officials with the Iranian government still like to hurl threats at the US from time to time, the latest of which comes from an Iranian admiral. On Monday, Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi asserted on state television that “Wherever the Americans look in the Persian Gulf, they will see us,” before adding “they know that if they commit the slightest mistake, we will drown their vessels in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, or the Sea of Oman.”

IRAN’S AIR DEFENSES EQUIPPED WITH S-300 MISSILES FROM RUSSIA

The Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base has received the strategic S-300 air defense missile system, Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said on the sidelines of a visit to an exhibition of the achievements of the Iranian Army’s air defense base.

Highlighting the country’s major strides toward self-sufficiency in the area of air defense, he added that Iran has developed its domestically-built Bavar-373 air defense system and will launch its mass production line this year.

He said the Iranian system enjoys specifications and functions similar to those of S-300.

Dehqan further said that Bavar-373 can simultaneously engage multiple aircraft, ballistic missiles, and drones.

Back in April, Iran displayed part of the Russian-made S-300 air defense missile system in a military parade in Tehran, held to mark the National Army Day.

Iran will sue US over decision to give terror victims $2 billion from frozen funds

Iran is planning to take legal action against the United States in international court over a US Supreme Court ruling that granted American terror victims $2 billion from frozen funds belonging to Tehran.

"We will soon take the case of the $2 billion to the international court," Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said in a Tuesday speech in Kerman, southeastern Iran, as quoted by Reuters. "We will not allow the United States to swallow this money so easily."

In April, the US Supreme Court ruled that American victims of terror attacks in Beirut and Saudi Arabia were eligible to receive damages from Iranian central bank assets that had been frozen, upholding a 2012 law passed by Congress permitting the payments.

120 nations accuse US top court of violating law over Iran

The 120-nation Nonaligned Movement headed by Iran accused the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday of violating international law by ruling that nearly $2 billion in frozen Iranian assets can be paid to victims of attacks linked to the country.

A communique issued by the NAM's Coordinating Bureau follows an Iranian appeal to the United Nations last week to intervene with the U.S. government to prevent the loss of their funds. Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called the ruling an "outrageous robbery, disguised under a court order."

The NAM, comprising mainly developing countries, called the U.S. waiver of "the sovereign immunity of states and their institutions" a violation of U.S. international and treaty obligations.

Evidence continues to mount on how lopsided has been the implementation so far of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, a.k.a. the Iran nuclear agreement, with Iran’s rigorous carrying out of its obligations regarding its nuclear program being unmatched by the sort of financial and commercial opening to Iran that was a fundamental part of the bargain that was struck.

Zuma wants trade with Iran to rise to $8bn

South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma said in Tehran on Sunday that his country plans to increase the volume of trade with Iran to as high as $8 billion by 2020.

Zuma told a meeting of Iranian and South African businessmen that the figure had been agreed on in his meeting with Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani earlier in the day.

He added that trade volume between the two countries in 2015 stood at about $350 million, emphasizing that this needs to be increased drastically by relying on the potentials of both sides.
