US Reportedly Reinforces Base in E Syria Amid Looming Idlib Offensive

On September 10, the Fars News Agency reported that the US sent two convoys consisting of ten trucks loaded with logistics and military equipment to the country's al-Susah base in the eastern part of Deir ez-Zor province, controlled by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The media platform said, citing local sources that Washington had also sent another convoy consisting of 100 trucks loaded with military equipment from Iraq to unspecified Syrian territories controlled by the SDF, via the Simalka border crossing.

Task & Purpose previously reported that the US had sent over 100 US Marines to reinforce the military base in al-Tanf, Syria. Newly deployed forces will take part in live ammunition military drills, which are being conducted to demonstrate the "capability to deploy rapidly, assault a target and conduct rapid exfiltration," according to US Central Command (CENTCOM).

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looks as though the US war against both Russia and Syria is on; the only question is, how long past the false-flag chemical attack, which will probably be all over the presstitute corporate media in the next couple of days, will President Trump wait to give the command to attack.

Unfortunately, for this country, doing the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing it could do, is no guarantee that the US government won't do it; a US attack against Idlib, which most probably means a military confrontation with Russia, being my case in point here.

Iranian FM Blasts White House for Good Ties with Masterminds of 9/11

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif lashed out at the US administration for closing its eyes on the reality that the Saudi government played the main role in the 9/11 terrorist attack and then punishing Iran which is the first enemy of terrorist groups.
"17 years after 9/11, Iran – (the) 1st Muslim nation to condemn tragedy, mourn victims and take real action against al-Qaeda and its offshoots including, the ISIS and Nusrah (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) - has been fined $11bn and its citizens banned from US," Zarif wrote on his twitter page on Tuesday.

He referred to the friendly ties between Washington and Riyadh, and said, "All while White House auctions off foreign policy to terror sponsors (Saudi government) whose citizens perpetrated 9/11."

Israel opens fire on Palestinian boats attempting Gaza siege break

The Israeli navy has opened fire on a group of Palestinian fishing boats that sailed off the shore of Gaza to break the years-long siege on the coastal enclave.

The incident took place on Monday after some 55 boats set sail from the Gaza port in the northern Gaza Strip and headed towards the nearest point of the sea border with the occupied territories to challenge the Israeli blockade.

There have been no reports available on casualties yet.

Jews and Gentiles

Early Zionism was a significant and glorious moment in Jewish history; a moment of dramatic epiphany fueled by self-loathing. The early Zionists promised to save the Jews from the Jew and to liberate the Jew from the Jews. They were disgusted by the Diaspora non-proletarian urban Jewish culture which they regarded as parasitic. They promised to bond the new Hebrews with labour and soil. They were convinced that they could transform what they saw as a greedy capitalist into a new ‘Israelite hard working peasant.’ They believed that they could make the ‘international cosmopolitan’ into a nationalist patriot, they believed that they knew how to convert Soros into a kibbutznik: they were certain that it was within their capacity to make Alan Dershowitz into a Uri Avneri and Abe Foxman into a peacenik. They promised to make Jews into people like all other people while failing to realize that no other people really want to resemble others.

Albert Einstein’s 1948 Letter to the New York Times Comparing Israeli Politicians to Nazis

Among the most disturbing political phenomena of our times is the emergence in the newly created state of Israel of the “Freedom Party” (Tnuat Haherut), a political party closely akin in its organization, methods, political philosophy and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties. It was formed out of the membership and following of the former Irgun Zvai Leumi, a terrorist, right-wing, chauvinist organization in Palestine.

Canadian politicians lead unprecedented smear campaign against advocate for Palestinian rights

On Thursday lawyer Dimitri Lascaris called on two Liberal MPs to denounce death threats made by B’nai B’rith supporters against a number of other Liberal MPs and the Prime Minister. But instead of condemning those who called for racialized politicians to face the “guillotine” or “stoning”, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) and Canadian politicians smeared the individual drawing attention to the death threats.

And on the weekend NDP leaders participated in this unprecedented multi-party smear campaign against one of Canada’s most effective advocates for Palestinian rights. At the behest of CIJA, MP Hélène Laverdière called Lascaris “anti-Semitic” while Jagmeet Singh inferred as much.

Israel settler harasses Palestinian school children

An Israeli settler has been filmed harassing Palestinian children as they made their way to school on Sunday. The children were walking from Tuba to the nearest school in At-Tuwani, in the southernmost West Bank governorate of Hebron, when the incident occurred.

The settler, who resides in the unlawful Israeli settlement of Havat Maon, can be seen blocking the road with his car and telling the children, who are accompanied by international volunteers from Operation Dove, that they cannot pass his car until the Israeli occupation forces arrive.

The settler proceeds to film the children and volunteers as they continue along their route, and subsequently drives his vehicle directly at the children, blocking their path. As he exits his vehicle, he calls over nearby soldiers and lunges at children attempting to bypass his car, screaming at the group. The incident ends when soldiers hold the settler off, allowing the children and volunteers to continue their walk to school.

Trump targets sick Palestinians

The Trump administration in Washington has slashed more than $25 million in approved aid for six hospitals in East Jerusalem providing care to Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The US also announced that it is closing the Palestine Liberation Organization office in Washington.

The moves are the latest in a series of measures intended to bludgeon Palestinians into submitting to the White House’s “peace” process. The Palestinian Authority froze communications with the American administration in December, when Trump declared that the US would recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The US announced last month that it would stop funding UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestine refugees, after freezing $300 million in aid in January, throwing the body into unprecedented financial crisis.

World Trade Center’s Infamous 91st-Floor Israeli ‘Art Student’ Project

In the period leading up to 9/11, a group of Israelis (non-U.S. citizens) managed to secure “temporary construction” passes to perform work on the 91st floor of Larry “pull it” Silverstein’s leased WTC 1. These passes gave them access to the entire WTC complex. The pretense was an art project called the “B-Thing” and the group is called Gelatin.

After securing their passes, Gelatin proceeded to remove the heavy WTC windows of an office space on the 91st floor and reportedly constructed a prefab balcony outside of the building. Then they stretched “putty” around the windows and filmed it by helicopter as a stunt shown here. On Aug. 18, 2001 The New York Times even felt strangely compelled to cover this story and considered it newsworthy, or a backstory.

Moscow Has Upped the Ante in Syria

September 9, 2018

*

MEMORANDUM FOR: The President

FROM: Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity

SUBJECT: Moscow Has Upped the Ante in Syria

Mr. President:

We are concerned that you may not have been adequately briefed on the upsurge of hostilities in northwestern Syria, where Syrian armed forces with Russian support have launched a full-out campaign to take back the al-Nusra/al-Qaeda/ISIS-infested province of Idlib. The Syrians will almost certainly succeed, as they did in late 2016 in Aleppo. As in Aleppo, it will mean unspeakable carnage, unless someone finally tells the insurgents theirs is a lost cause.

Demonization of Middle East Leaders Prior to Invasion and “Regime Change”. Trump’s Iran Policy

1. The US Iran policy aims at nothing but conflict-building followed by economic, political and military violence

From all the remarks made by President Donald Trump and his senior officials, it is clear that the United States is trying to manufacture another regime change in the Middle East, this time in Iran.

It does so by making use of the tried and tested tactic of demonising Iranian rulers and the Iranian people and by finding false pretences and pretexts for implementing their destructive goals.

We have already had an inkling of these tactics by Trump’s withdrawal from the nuclear deal and his allegation that Iran has not been abiding by the terms of that deal, despite clear evidence of Iranian compliance provided by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is in charge of inspecting and certifying Iran’s compliance.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would suspect, after issuing the entire world a "drop dead date" edict regarding its purchasing oil from Iran, President Trump and the administration have something militarily spectacular planned for that date or thereabout concerning Iran, and that date happens to be Sunday, 4 November; two days away from midterm elections in the US.

Sep 10 11:34

Pompeo’s Fingerprints Are All Over Trump’s New Syria Regime Change Policy

The reason given for the dramatic change in policy was the administration’s recent decision to “redefine” its goals in the Syrian conflict, resulting in the emergence of “the exit of all Iranian military and proxy forces from Syria” as the administration’s top priority, effectively overshadowing the U.S.’ long-stated goal of rooting out terror groups like Daesh (ISIS). The shift is part of a broader effort by the Trump administration to target Iranian influence in the region while simultaneously attempting to provoke regime change in Iran through the use of aggressive sanctions and other covert means.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The explosive issue which both Pompeo and Bolton seem to want to ignore here is the following: IF the US maintains its illegally captured space in Syria, and starts attacking Syrian, Iranian, or Russian troops in Syria (remember: the Russians and Iranians were INVITED by the Syrian government, but the US military was NOT), how long before US troops wind up in a shooting war against Russian, Iranian, and Syrian forces?!?

Logic tells me, not too long at all.

So if this "faux" chemical weapons attack happens, I have to wonder just how long it will be before the US declares war on Russia, Syria, and Iran?!?

Logic tells me, not long at all; the US and its allies cannot wait for logic-centric Americans ask themselves the question; why would al-Assad use chemical poisoning against his own people, when he as almost completely gutted the country of US-backed rebels?!? The short, logical answer is, he would not.

For all those who read this blog, who have family in the US military, this question is far from academic.

Israel Should Not Have to Ask Washington’s Permission for Settlements: US Ambassador Friedman

The US ambassador to Tel Aviv says Israel checks all settlement expansion plans in the occupied Palestinian territories with the United States which never challenges them.

In an interview published in Israel Hayom daily, David Friedman said Israel “shouldn’t have to ask permission from the US” to build settlements in the occupied West Bank.

According to Friedman, Israel is entitled to the possibility even though the Trump administration has never challenged an Israeli construction plan in the West Bank.

US newspapers have said Friedman is unfit to be ambassador to Israel, arguing that he has politicized his diplomatic office and misrepresented US policy on the conflict with Palestinians.

“In David Friedman, President Trump has nominated someone who lacks the necessary temperament to serve in such a crucial position,” the San Francisco Chronicle wrote last March.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation; the policy of Israeli development of Palestinian land is to create a situation on the ground which makes it physically impossible for a contiguous state of Palestine to exist, period, end of discussion.

I'm sure that for Sheldon Adelson, the financier and casino magnate who has purchased Trump's presidency, and for Bibi Netanyahu, who is one of President Trump's BFFs in the Middle East, the nomination and confirmation of David Friedman as US Ambassador to Israel, has worked out just perfectly for them.

REBELS RAMP UP CIVILIAN ATTACKS, INCUR HEAVY LOSSES IN IDLIB

At the request of Damascus, Russia assisted Syrian forces in launching several airstrikes across the territory in the northern Al-Ghab plain starting Saturday morning and continuing through Sunday afternoon.

The Syrian Army successfully destroyed an ammunition depot and armored vehicle belonging to the Al-Ezza brigades in the Kafr Zita countryside as they struck various hideouts and locations of Jabhat al-Nusra and their allies Sunday. According to Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), a state media news agency, the army unit also successfully destroyed shelling launching pads belonging to the brigade, where terrorists would launch shells towards residential areas.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That false flag chemical attack, to be blamed on Syria, is most likely coming, and soon, because the rebels are doing so poorly in holding their ground in Idlib that they cannot get a foothold against Syrian and Russian troops and airstrikes.

The chemical attack, prophesied at the UN by our "Miss Cleo Wannabe", US Representative Nikki Haley, will most likely happen this week.

Russia has already stated, through diplomatic channels, that it intends to hold exercises and attacks very close to where US troops are stationed (illegally) in Syria.

Let me say this again; the US government and military have invaded a sovereign country, which did not ask them to assist in fighting the rebels, (they asked for Russian and Iranian assistance for this), and is looking to establish a "foothold" in the country from which they can plot regime change in Damascus, and control Syria's oil.

The big question is, how long before Russia and the US wind up in direct, hot conflict in Syria?!?

I don't know what the odds the bookies in Vegas are giving on the such a confrontation; my gut is telling me, however, this will be happening very soon.

The Trump Whitehouse wants this country in a major war against....some major alleged "enemy" recently well-demonized in what passes for American "journalism", and Russia will do nicely here, well before the mid-terms.

The American Electorate are very skittish about changing the nature and composition of their government mid war.

And please remember the "drop dead date" by which President Trump has declared to the world that it can no longer buy Iranian oil; Sunday, 4 November, two days before the mid-term elections in this country. I would expect something very dramatic from the Trump Administration against Iran on, or right near, that deadline, and the date of these primaries.

Israel forces arrest Addameer’s legal unit coordinator

A senior staff member of Palestinian prisoners’ rights group Addameer has been detained by Israeli occupation forces, the NGO reported.

Ayman Nasser, 48, the coordinator of Addameer’s legal unit, was seized by soldiers from his home in the occupied West Bank on 9 September, and is being held without charge or trial in Ofer prison.

Nasser has been arrested on three previous occasions, the last of which was in 2014, when he spent more than a year under administrative detention (without charge or trial).

Nasser’s wife told Addameer that soldiers broke into the house at 2:00am, waking up the children and keeping “the entire family in the living room while they were searching the house”. The NGO added that there were some ten soldiers inside the house, and tens of soldiers outside the house.

Tel Aviv clubbing scene impacted by BDS, as top DJs stay away

Tel Aviv’s famed clubbing scene is feeling the impact of the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, reported Haaretz, as top international DJs are staying away.

“The current tsunami of cancellations, while it might sound trivial if you’re untutored in trance music, could reflect a trend with effects far beyond the Meteor Festival,” the article states.

“In the optimistic scenario, this is a one-off event that has cast the spotlight on lesser-known musicians as well. In the pessimistic scenario, this is the end of an era in which the clubbing scene has been an exception.”

The report notes that “adding credence to the change-in-direction theory are the cancellations by DJs who have spun in Tel Aviv in recent years.”

‘Collective punishment against us’: US to close Palestinian mission in Washington, official says

The US State Department has announced it is shutting down the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) office in Washington, DC, a move which a top PLO official says is aimed at “collectively punishing the Palestinian people.”

The department said that the decision to close the office is consistent with US concerns about Palestinian attempts to launch a probe into Israeli actions at the International Criminal Court (ICC). It comes after the Palestinian Foreign Ministry asked the ICC in May to open an investigation into alleged Israeli violations against Palestinians, calling Tel Aviv's actions regarding illegal settlements “crimes against humanity.” It cited “grave crimes” against Palestinians by Israel, including forcible transfer, the unlawful killing of peaceful protesters, and the demolition of Palestinian homes.

Trump admin to shut down PLO office in Washington, threatens ICC with sanctions: Report

The administration of US President Donald Trump is expected to shutter the Palestine Liberation Organization’s office in Washington and threaten punitive measures against any anti-Israeli action by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

US National Security Adviser John Bolton is scheduled to make the announcement in his speech, “Protecting American Constitutionalism and Sovereignty from International Threats,” to the conservative group Federalist Society on Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday night.

“The United States will always stand with our friend and ally, Israel,” national security adviser John Bolton plans to say, according a draft of his prepared remarks reviewed by the WSJ.

“The Trump administration will not keep the office open when the Palestinians refuse to start direct and meaningful negotiations with Israel,” Bolton would say

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sheldon Adelson and Bibi Netanyahu have President Trump precisely where they want him; in a totally submissive posture toward an Israeli policy of genocide and the "disappearing" of the Palestinian people from this earth.

What Israel and the US are hoping to do, by the way their proposals are structured regarding Palestinians, is to prevent the Palestinians from claiming any geographic sovereignty to the land which was forcibly taken from them in the establishment of the State of Israel, and trade the Right of Return for "financial inducements."

And punitive measures against the ICC for any alleged anti-Israeli action, or protest any "unjust prosecution" ?!?

Sorry, National Insecurity Advisor Bolton: these are completely "brown shirt" tactics; this is what one might have expected from the Third Reich, not the alleged "United States of America".

My brother and sister Americans, I know that for some of you this may be a shock; but for decades, and under the watch of various Presidents, your country has been a nation which continually has committed, and still commits, war crimes with impunity.

IF you do not believe me, then please take a look at the US-enabling of Saudi war crimes in Yemen, under both President Obama, and President Trump. Warning: graphic images below:

Yemeni children starving to death, courtesy of US-Enabled port blockades

Yemeni children assassinated, courtesy of US-Enabled bombing runs in Yemen

UN warns: 10 million more Yemenis expected to starve to death by end of 2018, Due to Saudi/US Blockade of Yemeni ports

Now, IF these images bother you (and they should, if you are still some semblance of a human being), we need to start having a peaceful, and logical, national discussion of why we're living in the Assassination Nation of the world, and what has gone so horrifically wrong with America, that these war crimes are allowed to continue, with so damn little public attention to them.

Unfortunately, the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika is, collectively, easily distracted; we can no longer afford for this to be the case.

White Phosphorous War Crimes Connect Israel To Monsanto

Monsanto Corporation, the agribusiness giant best known for its pesticides and genetically-modified crops, also manufactured white phosphorous for the U.S. government over at least the past 20 years. Used in incendiary military weapons, the United States sold white phosphorous-based weapons to Israel, which used those weapons to commit brutal war crimes against Palestinians living in Gaza in 2009.

White phosphorous is created from phosphorous through industrial processes — it is not a naturally occurring substance. Exposure can cause severe and often fatal burns, or other complications such as organ failure, with even survivors suffering from long-term health effects.

Israeli Racism – Legalized and Running Rampant

Israel’s new Nation State Law, just over 1 month old, has already increased the discrimination against Palestinians in Israel to absurd levels: they’re being prohibited from raising chickens, planting potatoes, gathering traditional herbs. Small sewing and knitting factories are being closed down and moved to Jordan. The only logical explanation: it’s part of a plan to make survival in Israel impossible, to initiate a “soft transfer” or “voluntary emigration” of Palestinians, because mass deportation – as in the Nakba – is no longer practical.

The village of ‘Urif, which is located near Nablus, lies in close proximity to the notorious settlement of Yitzhar, established in 1983.

All Israeli settlements are illegal under international law, and described by international human rights groups as part of an inherently discriminatory regime.

According to B’Tselem, the Palestinian residents of ‘Urif “have been suffering for years from repeated attacks by settlers”, with most attacks taking place “in farmland close to the village water tower, which is situated some 500 metres from its easternmost homes”.

Free at last, Israeli actor Itay Tiran endorses BDS and says Zionism is racism

I was really taken by Itay Tiran’s acting in the gripping British mini-saeries ‘The Promise’ directed by Peter Kosminsky. The series is about Israel-Palestine, jumping back and forth between pre-state years and current events. Tiran was playing a Jewish-Israeli leftist who joined Combatants for Peace, and his sister considers him an anti-Zionist. He seemed really authentic in that role, challenging his ‘liberal-Zionist’ parents and pointing out their hypocrisy.

Now, the 38-year-old actor is leaving Israel for Germany, and he gave an interview to Haaretz, where he is really uncuffed. He speaks in favor of BDS, rationally. He calls Zionism racism – not as hyperbole – he’s just rational and logical about it.

ISRAELI PUBLIC RADIO SLAMMED FOR PLAYING HITLER'S FAVORITE COMPOSER

Israel's public broadcaster has apologized for playing the music of 19th-century composer Richard Wagner, a renowned anti-Semite. A few minutes later, the piece was cut short by a 40-second pause, which the station said was a technical glitch ... Wagner, who wrote pamphlets on the "Jewish problem" in German music and was a strong opponent of inter-racial marriage, was Adolf Hitler's favorite composer. There is no law prohibiting the playing of Wagner, but orchestras and venues in Israel typically boycott his music ... All work closely with the Israeli government, all travel to Israel frequently on "official business" and they all are in close liaison with the Jewish groups most often described as part of the Israel Lobby ... There is a history of American Jews closely attached to Israel being promoted by powerful and cash rich domestic lobbies to act on behalf of the Jewish state.

Fearing Collapse Amid UNRWA Cuts, Israeli Officials Urge Aid For Gaza

Amid US push to defund the UN’s Palestinian aid agency over its expansive definition of a refugee, Israel fears humanitarian crisis could spark war in south

Israeli security officials are urging the government to find an alternative source of aid funding for the Palestinians in Gaza as US contributions to the UN’s Palestinian aid agency UNRWA have evaporated.

On August 31, the US announced it would end all funding to UNRWA, just a week after cutting some $200 million in aid for the West Bank and Gaza. None of the cuts directly targeted aid meant for the internationally recognized Palestinian Authority, which received some $42 million in July as frozen funds were released that went toward security cooperation with Israel.

Though hailed by Israeli politicians, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the cuts are said to be opposed by defense officials, who fear they could fuel Palestinian unrest and in turn jeopardize Israel’s security.

Inside Israel’s Secret Program to Back Syrian Rebels

Israel secretly armed and funded at least 12 rebel groups in southern Syria that helped prevent Iran-backed fighters and militants of the Islamic State from taking up positions near the Israeli border in recent years, according to more than two dozen commanders and rank-and-file members of these groups.

The military transfers, which ended in July of this year, included assault rifles, machine guns, mortar launchers and transport vehicles. Israeli security agencies delivered the weapons through three gates connecting the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights to Syria—the same crossings Israel used to deliver humanitarian aid to residents of southern Syria suffering from years of civil war.

Syrian General: Israel Always Attacks Syrian Army To Defend Jihadist Allies

The latest Israeli attack on the Syrian province of Hama was made with US interests who had day before had expressed concern about the impending operation in Idlib, Syrian retired general Yahii Suleiman said.

“This is not the first such attack: whenever the army prepares an operation against armed groups, Israel attacks. The last time, this happened before the army attack in the south of the country,” the Syrian general explained .

He noted that the Israelis are nervous because the Syrian Army is now very close to the border of the Zionist-occupied Golan Heights which legally belongs to Syria, so they attack to give a warning. Despite this, the army continues to successfully attack the militants and liberate all new territories of Syria.

"The Ship That Won't Sink!"Landmark Conference

An all day live-streamed landmark conference bringing together for the first time superior authorities on two of America's most revealing events, the attack upon the USS Liberty and the attack upon the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Knowing the facts about these two events will prove:

The attack upon the USS Liberty was not a matter of mistaken identity, but rather an attempt to bring America into the Six-Day War on behalf of Israel by sinking the ship and blaming it on Egypt.

This attack has initiated an American undeclared state of war with Israel which has never been resolved.

All control points necessary to destroy the World Trade Center, damage the Pentagon, blame it on others, destroy the evidence, prevent investigations and litigation and maintain the myth, were and remain occupied by Zionists.

International artists urge boycott of Eurovision in Israel

More than 140 leading international artists have backed the Palestinian call to boycott next year’s Eurovision Song Contest if it is hosted by Israel.

Meanwhile more evidence has emerged of Israeli manipulation of the 2018 contest, and Eurovision organizers are demanding that Israel as next year’s host guarantee freedom of expression and movement.

“Eurovision 2019 should be boycotted if it is hosted by Israel while it continues its grave, decades-old violations of Palestinian human rights,” the artists state in a letter published by The Guardian on Friday.

Bill Would Force NASA Cooperation with Israel Despite History of Israeli Espionage

A bill that was passed by the U.S. Senate in early August and is currently under consideration by the House would mandate that the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) work closely with the Israel Space Agency (ISA) despite the fact that such cooperation in the past was used by Israel to steal U.S. state secrets.

The provision is tucked within the bill titled the “United States-Israel Security Assistance Authorization Act of 2018,” which would also provide Israel with $38 billion in U.S. military aid over a ten-year period, the largest military aid package in U.S. history. MintPress News previously reported that this massive aid package translates into approximately $23,000 every year for every Israeli family. However, the provision pertaining to NASA, which was first identified by the website If Americans Knew, has largely gone unreported.

Top US Envoy Says "Lots Of Evidence" Assad Prepping Chemical Weapons; Russia Threatens Attack On US Base

While Syria seemed to have dropped from the Western media's radar over the past months as the Syrian Army and its Russian and Iranian allies made rapid gains, multiple huge developments this week have returned the war to center stage in Washington and the dangerous rhetoric of escalation.

In just the last 24 hours alone, we've learned:

Trump has reportedly done a 180 shift, departing from his prior statements of "bring our troops home" made only months ago, and has approved "an indefinite military and diplomatic effort in Syria" according to a bombshell Washington Post report.

Russia has put the US military on notice, telling American commanders that Russian and Syrian forces are prepared to attack At Tanf — a key US garrison along the Syrian-Iraq border.

A top US Syria policy representative says there's “lots of evidence” chemical weapons are being prepared by the Syrian Army for use in its impending Idlib ground assault.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The bovine excrement is being flung explosively, in advance of the US government preparing for an attack against Syria.

I firmly believe that this has to happen very soon, to prevent people from even beginning to think critically about why Bashar Al Assad would use such weapons against his own people, when his, the Russian, and Iranian troops are just on the keening edge of recapturing Idlib from the rebels.

Such a move would make absolutely zero logical sense, which is why, if something like this happens, it is a US/Israeli-generated false flag with which to "justify" and American attack against Syria.

The Gaza Strip: Funding for Emergency Fuel Needed Immediately to Avoid Catastrophic Breakdown in Essential Services

This week, final stocks of emergency fuel will be delivered to critical facilities in the Gaza Strip, through the United Nations-Assisted Emergency Fuel Program. The Humanitarian Coordinator, Jamie McGoldrick, has written to the donor community requesting immediate support for the program, which provides life-saving emergency fuel to operate standby emergency power generators at critical health centers, and water and sanitation facilities in the Gaza Strip. Funds donated thus far in 2018 have been depleted.

Life-saving services in Gaza currently depend on the UN’s delivery of emergency fuel, due to an energy crisis that leaves the two million Palestinian residents of Gaza, over half of whom are children, with only 4-5 hours of electricity from the grid per day. Based on the current electricity deficit in Gaza, a minimum of $4.5 million is required to sustain these essential services until the end of the year.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel's "Final Solution" to the "Palestinian Problem" is very multi-faceted; the chance of injury and death due to a lack of electricity at medical centers is precisely one of them.

President Trump has just handed more death sentences to the Gazans, courtesy of his withdrawal of US funds.

Adelson’s perfect little puppet ends all possibility of a Palestinian state

Three years ago, it looked like Sheldon Adelson was going to support Senator Marco Rubio for president, and Donald Trump tweeted a lethal assessment:

Sheldon Adelson is looking to give big dollars to Rubio because he feels he can mold him into his perfect little puppet. I agree!

After that, of course, Trump blew Rubio away, and it was Trump who got $35 million from Adelson in the presidential race. The relationship hums along. Lately Adelson and his wife Miriam gave $55 million to Trump’s firewall against impeachment, Republican congressional campaigns.

And Trump’s shrewd assessment could not be more accurate. He is Adelson’s perfect little puppet.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That last big lie by Adelson, is a vast whopper.

Sorry, Sheldon, bubbie; the coinage tells the story here, far more persuasively and eloquently than I ever can:

Israel Sees No Difference Between Lebanon, Hezbollah - Senior IDF Officer

A senior commander in the Israel Defense Forces told Haaretz Wednesday that as a consequence of “a stronger Hezbollah in Lebanese politics,” in future conflicts, Israel would make no distinction between Lebanese forces and those of Hezbollah’s militia.

"The distinction we made between Hezbollah and Lebanon during the Second Lebanon War was a mistake," said the official, who is the senior officer in the army's Northern Command near the Lebanese border, about the 2006 conflict. "In the next war we will not make this distinction. We will hit Lebanon and any infrastructure that would contribute to the fighting."

"If the choice is between pummeling Lebanon or making a distinction between Lebanon and Hezbollah, I'll take pummeling Lebanon," the officer added.

Israel Evacuated Islamist Commanders From Syria Alongside White Helmets

A new report gets dirty on the details of Israeli funding and weapons shipments to 12 anti-government extremist groups in Syria. Buried in the end of the piece is the revelation that Israel helped evacuate so-called “rebel commanders” as they also flew out members of the self-proclaimed “impartial” White Helmets organization.

On August 22, Israel evacuated some 800 members of the White Helmets, a group funded by the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and other Western countries, that claims to be an impartial civil defense organization but has been accused by Syria and Russia of terrorism. Its members have been caught on video grinning wildly as a child nearby was being beheaded in addition to other atrocities, while a high-budget film about the group won the 2017 Academy Award for best documentary.

Israel Armed, Funded 12 Different Syrian Rebel Groups

New reports on Israel’s arming and funding of Syrian rebel groups reveals that no less than 12 rebel factions, all in southern Syria, were on the receiving end of Israeli aid. This included weapons, ammunition, money, and even some armored vehicles.

The story about arming Syrian rebels actually broke Wednesday with the Jerusalem Post, though Israeli military censors shut this down quickly. Once the foreign-based Foreign Policy came out with its own version Thursday, Israeli media were quick to follow, suggesting the censors gave up on trying to keep this secret.

Foreign Policy interviewed rebels from the Syrian groups, and suggested that they “feel betrayed” because they had assumed Israel would intervene militarily to save them from the Syrian offensive, and that never happened.

Envoy Says US May Recognize Israeli Annexation of Golan Heights - Reports

With the Syrian Army poised to flush out militants active in the Golan Heights area, Damascus is close to wrapping up its campaign to free southern Syria.

The US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman believes that Washington could recognize the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights as part of the Jewish state, the Israeli newspaper Hayom reported.

In an interview with the Hebrew language daily, Friedman said that he expects the Golan Heights could remain under Israeli control “forever.”

“I cannot honestly imagine a situation in which the Golan Heights is not part of Israel forever,” Friedman said.

Israel is reluctant to invade Gaza with ground troops — and it’s not because Benjamin Netanyahu has developed a conscience

But Israel’s ground forces stay put. Two respected analysts of Israel’s military explain why: the Hamas resistance movement has prepared strong defenses inside Gaza that have raised the costs of an invasion above an acceptable level. Amos Harel, who covers the military for Haaretz, is an unsentimental reporter with excellent sources. He outlined Israel’s weakness in a recent piece headlined, “If Israel had to enter Gaza today, the Israeli army would have a big problem.”

In the useful website War on the Rocks, a retired Israeli colonel named Shimon Arad has more details. He explains that during the 2014 invasion, Hamas surprised the Israeli invaders with “subterranean warfare from a developed tunnel system located in the towns and refugee camps inside the Gaza Strip.” Arad says Israel is successfully countering the Hamas-dug tunnels into Israeli territory, but has not found an answer to Hamas’s underground defenses in Gaza itself.

How Israel Spies on US Citizens

Kleinfeld’s contacts told him they were spying on US citizens with the help of Israel’s Ministry of Strategic Affairs, founded in 2006, which reports directly to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. One official said: “We are a different government working on foreign soil, [so] we have to be very, very cautious.” And indeed some of the things they do could be subject to prosecution under US law.

At the end of Kleinfeld’s time at TIP, his boss there, Eric Gallagher, was so happy with his performance that he wanted to hire “Tony” on a permanent basis: “I would love it if you came to work for me. I need someone who’s a team player, hardworking, excited, passionate, curious, well-rounded, well-spoken, well-read. You’re all of those things.” Kleinfeld turned down the job. His qualifications were genuine, but he was of course an undercover reporter, sent by Al Jazeera to investigate the pro-Israel lobby.

IDF Flexes Muscles to Remove Jerusalem Post Story on Supplying Syria's 'Rebels'

The removal of a Jerusalem Post article that clearly noted the Israeli military had supplied Islamist rebels in Syria with weapons and funds is just "the tip of the iceberg," journalist and filmmaker Dan Cohen told Sputnik.

Although it hasn't exactly been a secret that Israel dabbled in arming and offering its general support to groups wanting to overthrow Syrian President Bashar Assad, Israeli military officials actually confirmed on Tuesday that Operation Good Neighbor was something of a front to arm opposition groups, according to a Jerusalem Post article that ultimately had its online lifespan cut extremely short.

Archived snapshots of the report note that the Israeli military provided military equipment and munitions to rebel groups, in addition to tons upon tons of food, clothing, fuel, electric generators, medical equipment and medicine through Operation Good Neighbor, which saw its beginnings in 2016 as a humanitarian aid mission.

He is particularly passionate about the horrors of the camp's gas chamber where, he explains, many prisoners were put to death with poison gas ... His story of Dachau internment is a fraud. He probably never visited the camp until the 1990s, says Ryback, and his tales of gas chamber killings are untrue.

He Was a Prominent Holocaust Survivor. But His Story Was a Hoax.

"The Impostor," a work of nonfiction, is the history of an ugly and wildly successful lie. For three decades, Enric Marco, a Catalan mechanic, was a prominent public face of Spanish survivors of the Holocaust - president of a survivors' association, the recipient of a number of awards and distinctions. He spoke at Parliament and frequently visited schools, well into his 80s, to tearfully recall his time at the Flossenbürg concentration camp; the torture and killings he witnessed; his eight months of solitary confinement. In 2005, the story was revealed to be a hoax ... Cercas was appropriately scandalized, calling Marco "this shameless con artist, this out-and-out liar, this utter scoundrel."

Once Again, Palestinians Are Shafted by The British Government, Responding to Pressures from pro-Israeli Lobby

I am appalled and angry at the British government’s adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of anti-Semitism following pressure by various Jewish Zionist groups for the same reason I am against another document the British government was pressured into adopting – the Balfour Declaration of 1917, “a short letter by Arthur Balfour to arguably one of the most influential Jewish families – the Rothschild’s.”

It is much shorter than the IHRA, and included this sentence in it:

“It being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of non-Jewish communities [in Palestine].”

What Lies Beneath: The US-Israeli Plot to ‘Save’ Gaza

Israel wants to change the rules of the game entirely. With unconditional support from the Trump Administration, Tel Aviv sees a golden opportunity to redefine what has, for decades, constituted the legal and political foundation for the so-called "Palestinian-Israeli conflict."

While US President Donald Trump’s foreign policy has, thus far, been erratic and unpredictable, his administration’s "vision" in Israel and Palestine is systematic and unswerving. This consistency seems to be part of a larger vision aimed at liberating the "conflict" from the confines of international law and even the old US-sponsored "peace process."

Indeed, the new strategy has, so far, targeted the status of East Jerusalem as an Occupied Palestinian city, and the Right of Return for Palestinian refugees. It aims to create a new reality in which Israel achieves its strategic goals while the rights of Palestinians are limited to mere humanitarian issues.

A YEAR AFTER CALLING IDLIB “AL QAEDA'S LARGEST SAFE HAVEN SINCE 9/11,” THE US GOVT IS TRYING TO SAVE IT

As the Syrian government and its allies prepare to begin a military offensive against the last rebel-held province in the country, top U.S. government officials and even U.S. President Donald Trump have recently urged Syria to refrain from “recklessly” attacking the Idlib province, warning that it could result in a high civilian death toll. These recent statements of U.S. government officials have sought to portray Idlib as chiefly populated by civilians and benign opposition “rebels.”

Yet, just last year, one of the U.S. government’s top counterterrorism officials involved in the country’s Syria and Iraq policy stated on video that, in contrast to current government statements, Idlib is dominated by none other than the Al Qaeda terrorist group and that the province should be a major focus of U.S. counterterrorism policy given the threat that Idlib represents to global efforts to fight terrorism.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: the US government doesn't want the combined forces of Russia, Syria, and Iran, to gut Idlib of terrorists, because it is the US government which is funding, arming, and supporting those terrorists as a "base" from which the US can reach out, and destroy more of Syria, even when time and logic have proved this a thankless task in all the years in which Syria has been at war, a war essentially designed and operated by US-funded interests.

The way the term "chemical attack" is being bandied about by our UN Ambassador, Nikki Haley, is a clear telegraphing of what US interests, most probably the White Helmets, and their ilk are going to do so, by creating such a false image of a chemical attack, most probably against children, staged as the "justification" for US troops going into Syria to attack it.

US ambassador expects Golan Heights to be ‘part of Israel forever’

The US ambassador to Israel said in remarks published on Thursday that he expects Israel to keep the Golan Heights in perpetuity, Reuters reports. Foreign governments, including the US, do not recognize Israel’s claim of sovereignty over the strategic plateau captured from Syria in the 1967 war. President Donald Trump’s national security adviser has said Washington’s policy is unchanged. However, US Ambassador David Friedman suggested Israel is there to stay and said it is possible the US would consider recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights in the future. “I personally cannot imagine a situation in which the Golan Heights will be returned to Syria. I frankly cannot imagine a situation in which the Golan Heights is not part of Israel forever,” he told the right-wing Israel Hayom newspaper. Friedman added that there is “no one more undeserving of this prize” – control of the Golan Heights – than Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Israel’s lack of remorse

Out of nowhere, Azaria cocks his weapon, aims at Al-Sharif, and fires one round into his head. A pool of blood begins to stream down the street. This was an extrajudicial execution, plain and simple. Again, the man was motionless and posed absolutely no clear and present danger, which is why the two soldiers who were standing close to Al-Sharif were not expecting anyone to fire at him, as is visible by their reactions.

Azaria also did not cock his weapon nor fire with a sense of urgency that would indicate a true threat. The fact that his rifle was not already cocked implies that there was no present danger. He just did not expect to be caught on camera while murdering someone, and probably thought he would get away with killing a Palestinian.

“I’ve never seen a President — I don’t care who he is — stand up to them. It just boggles the mind. They always get what they want. The Israelis know what is going on all the time. IDF CONFIRMS: ISRAEL PROVIDED LIGHT-WEAPONS TO SYRIAN REBELS

The Israeli army has admitted, for the first time, that it provided large amounts of cash, weapons and ammunition to Syrian rebels in the Golan Heights.

While the IDF maintains that it was not intervening in Syria’s civil war, on Monday it confirmed that as part of Operation Good Neighbor Israel had been regularly supplying Syrian rebels near its border with light weapons and ammunition in order to defend themselves from attacks and a substantial amount of cash to buy additional arms.

Through Operation Good Neighbor, which was launched in 2016 the Israeli military had provided over 1524 tons of food, 250 tons of clothes, 947,520 liters of fuel, 21 generators, 24,900 palettes of medical equipment and medicine.
