BANKSY IN GAZA GOING VIRAL ON THE NET

News travels fast. Yesterday, Banksy published video and photos from a recent trip to Gaza on their Instagram account and set the internet ablaze. The New York Times published a statement from the artist: “I don’t want to take sides. But when you see entire suburban neighborhoods reduced to rubble with no hope of a future — what you’re really looking at is a vast outdoor recruitment center for terrorists. And we should probably address this for all our sakes.”

Israeli Settlers Torch Jerusalem Church, Spray Racist Graffiti on School

Israeli settlers set fire to a church-owned building in Jerusalem overnight, Israeli police said Thursday, hours before settlers spray-painted racist graffiti on the walls of a Palestinian school and two days after settlers torched a mosque in the occupied West Bank.
The vandals torched an annexe of a Greek Orthodox seminary just outside the walls of the Old City and scrawled "graffiti insulting Jesus,” police spokeswoman Luba Samri said, describing it as a "nationalist" attack.

There were no casualties and the fire was put out before causing significant damage, she added.
On Wednesday, a mosque near Bethlehem in the southern West Bank was set alight and anti-Arab slogans in Hebrew sprayed on a nearby wall.

Gaza’s Natural Gas Deposits Could Easily Spark a Full-Fledged Resource War

Back in 1993, when Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA) signed the Oslo Accords that were supposed to end the Israeli occupation of Gaza and the West Bank and create a sovereign state, nobody was thinking much about Gaza’s coastline. As a result, Israel agreed that the newly created PA would fully control its territorial waters, even though the Israeli navy was still patrolling the area. Rumored natural gas deposits there mattered little to anyone, because prices were then so low and supplies so plentiful. No wonder that the Palestinians took their time recruiting British Gas (BG)—a major player in the global natural gas sweepstakes—to find out what was actually there. Only in 2000 did the two parties even sign a modest contract to develop those by-then confirmed fields.

What Happens When An Unstoppable Force Meets An Immovable Object?

"Once there was a man of Ch`u selling shields and spears. In praising his shields he said, 'My shields are so solid that nothing can penetrate them.'

Again, in praising his spears, he said, 'My spears are so sharp that they can penetrate anything.'

In response to his words somebody asked, 'How about using your spears to pierce through your shields?'

To this the man could not give any reply. Indeed, impenetrable shields and absolutely penetrative spears cannot stand together at the same time."

Kerry warns Congress about Netanyahu’s Iran speech, says Bibi pushed US to attack Iraq

Netanyahu is set to use his next week’s address to a joint session of Congress to condemn a potential nuclear agreement with Iran.

During a House Committee on Foreign Affairs hearing on Wednesday, Kerry warned Congress about the controversial speech.

“The prime minister, as you will recall, was profoundly forward-leaning and outspoken about the importance of invading Iraq under George W. Bush, and we all know what happened with that decision,” Kerry said.

John Kerry says Israel’s Netanyahu Lied About Iran nuclear weapons

US Secretary of State John Kerry has questioned the judgement of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu over his stance on Iran’s nuclear programme.

Mr Netanyahu has criticised the US and others for “giving up” on trying to stop Iran obtaining nuclear weapons.

The Israeli PM “may not be correct”, Mr Kerry said after attending the latest Iran nuclear talks in Geneva.

US-Israel row deepens as Kerry questions Netanyahu

The row between the White House and Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu has intensified with US officials saying his outspoken condemnation of efforts to secure an Iranian nuclear deal had injected destructive partisanship into US-Israeli relations.

In an escalation of hostile exchanges between the allies six days before Mr Netanyahu gives a speech to Congress on the threat from Iran, the Israeli leader accused world powers of abandoning a pledge to prevent Tehran from getting a nuclear bomb.

Benjamin Netanyahu’s blinkered view of American politics

When I first wrote about Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to a joint session of Congress opposing a nuclear deal with Iran, I was mostly focusing on the domestic politics of President Obama’s trolling and the GOP’s counter-trolling.

In the five weeks since, the effect of the speech on the Israeli-American relationship has come into stark relief, and the effect could best be described as “toxic.”

Netanyahu goes nuclear… now wait for the fallout

The contents of a secret report by Israel’s Mossad spy agency on Iran’s nuclear programme leaked to the media this week are shocking and predictable in equal measure.

Shocking because the report reveals that the Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, has spent years trying to convince the international community and Israelis that Tehran is racing towards building a nuclear bomb, when evidence presented by his own spies suggests the opposite.

Ma’an News Agency quoted forensic expert Sabri al-Aloul saying that al-Jafari’s autospy showed that the youth bled to death after a live bullet penetrated his left shoulder and struck his lungs before exiting and causing severe bleeding in his arteries and around his spine.

The killing was “similar to an execution” because he was shot from very close range, al-Aloul told Ma’an.

Producer Arnon Milchan is a citizen of Israel and has close ties to the leadership of the Israel Labor party. FBI documents also suggest he is a foreign spy who illegally exported US nuclear tech. Arnon Milchan owned a trading company that was allegedly used to smuggle high tech triggering devices for nuclear weapons to Israel. The FBI believes 800 of these triggers were illegally sent to Israel.

Israelis Report Saudis Willing to Help Them Attack Iran

Israel’s Channel 2 is claiming Saudi Arabia is close to agreeing to let Israel use their airspace to attack Iran, something Israel has been reported to be seeking for many years.

The latest report says that Saudi Arabia would be willing to let them use their air space, but only if Israel makes some progress on a peace deal with the Palestinians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Booking.com offers hotel rooms in Israel’s illegal settlements

I travel frequently to Palestine. Usually, I avoid tourist attractions but last year I decided to make a short trip to the Dead Sea. Searching for a place to stay, I checked the travel website Booking.com.

Immediately, I felt uneasy. Could some of the hotels it had listed be located in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank?

Rather than making a reservation, I drove to one of these hotels. Although the address given for the Kalia Kibbutz Hotel on Booking.com indicates that it is inside present-day Israel, the truth is quite different. It can be found within Kalia, a settlement in the West Bank that is one of the main shareholders in the cosmetics company Ahava.

Sex, blackmail and theft: leaks detail Israeli spy operations

Spy cables: Israel airline used as intelligence 'front'

Leaked documents reveal South Africa challenged Mossad over alleged clandestine security operations under El Al cover.

Secret cables obtained by Al Jazeera's Investigative Unit confirm that South Africa's spy agencies concurred with allegations that Israel uses its flag-carrier, El Al Airlines, as cover for its intelligence agencies.

Leaked documents from South Africa's intelligence agency support claims made on a 2009 South African television programme by a former El Al employee-turned-whistleblower.

Despite official Israeli denials, the whistleblower's claims prompted an emergency meeting between senior officials from both sides, as well as a separate note of enquiry from Canada's intelligence agency.

BEX ALERT - Group: Iran Operating Top Secret ‘Parallel Nuclear Program’

An Iranian dissident group known for exposing key aspects of Iran’s secret nuclear work claims it now has evidence of “an active and secret parallel nuclear program” operated by Tehran.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), also known as the MEK, said in a report released Tuesday it has found concrete evidence of an “underground top-secret site currently used by the Iranian regime for research and development with advanced centrifuges for uranium enrichment,” according to a copy of the findings.

Webmaster's Commentary:

MEK was the group that produced the "Laptop of death", which was claimed to be proof that Iran was building a nuclear weapon. But, the laptop turned out to be an Israeli propaganda hoax full of major technical errors. Looks like MEK has been called up to counter the revelation that Israel's Mossad did not think Iran was pursuing a nuclear weapons.

AMERICA’S ONE SIDED JUDICIAL SYSTEM

A US jury on Monday ordered the Palestine Liberation Organization and Palestinian Authority to pay more than $218 million for providing material support to terrorists, a victory for Americans suing over attacks in the Jerusalem area more than a decade ago.

But

Who has been funding the Israeli terrorists responsible for the murders of Rachel Corrie and Furkan Do?an, both American citizens. What about the attack on the USS Liberty?

Both of the above murders and attacks and many more were outrightly funded by the US Government themselves. Where is the judgement against them? Will there ever even be one??

Webmaster's Commentary:

What about Rachel Corrie and Furkan Dogan? When does the long arm of the American law go after their killers?

Netanyahu Lied to UN about Iranian Nuclear Program, Mossad Files Show

n Sept. 2012, Netanyahu stood before the UN General Assembly with a cartoonish diagram of a bomb and warned that Iran was about a year away from completing its “plans of building a nuclear weapon,” calling for action to halt the process and justifying Israel’s rights to act militarily if necessary.

“By next spring, at most by next summer, at current enrichment rates, they will have finished the medium enrichment and move[d] on to the final stage,” Netanyahu told the UN. “From there, it’s only a few months, possibly a few weeks before they get enough enriched uranium for the first bomb.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

And a memo to those members of Congress who have been "arm-twisted" by AIPAC to attend the Joint Session of Congress Netanyahu will address next week; I would bet even money that he will lie to you again about the state of Iran's nuclear program.

He will do anything within his power to prevent the P5+1 from reaching a viable agreement with Iran, including a unilateral attack against it.

And as an American who cares deeply about the direction of this country's foreign policy, I am angry that this will be a closed session of Congress he will be addressing.

And I have to ask: what is he afraid of the American people hearing that he is going to say in this speech?!?!?

Webmaster's Commentary:

These members of Congress are making their true allegiances clear to the American voters, who may well surprise them next election. No government can serve two masters, and a government that serves Israel cannot and will not serve the American people. A friend of Israel is no friend of America. In these dark times America needs leaders who will put America first, second, and third!

Racism is in the air: Video showing racist exchange between Israelis and a flight attendant goes viral

The headlines are pretty much the same all over, and include the words: “Watch: The Ugly Israeli,” in reference to what Israelis see as the rude behavior they are notorious for worldwide.

However, few (including mainstream media) paid attention to the little gem hidden in the video, a one-liner that epitomizes the casual racism so widespread in the Jewish state.

The flight attendant refuses to sell chocolate to a passenger (apparently he was busy with another passenger, it’s difficult to discern the exact reason). Things heat up. Then, her sister sitting across the aisle says at 0:28 in the video below: “She just wants to buy chocolate, what is she – an Arab?”

……Of course, this is understandable. The only reason a flight attendant refuses to sell chocolate to someone is because they’re Arab.

Bibi Netanyahu, Ingrate

After nearly 70 years of faithful American support – financial, diplomatic, and military – to the state of Israel, this is how the Israeli Prime Minister repays us – with naked appeals to anti-Americanism in a desperate bid to rescue his failing reelection campaign. Ingrate is far too mild a term to apply to the faithless Bibi, but since this is a family-friendly web site, I shall refrain from choosing a more fitting epithet.

The US relationship with Israel has changed, in part, because Israel has changed – and not for the better. The growth of ultra-nationalist extremism, the openly racist policies toward Palestinians and African immigrants, the ruthlessness of Israeli military policy with its brazen disregard for innocent civilians, and the braying posturing arrogance of Netanyahu himself have all contributed to the growing unease with which Americans view their longtime ally-turned-frenemy.

Benjamin Netanyahu Hires Top Defense Attorney For Possible Corruption Case

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hired a well-known lawyer described in the Israeli press as a "specialist in white-collar crime" to represent him and his wife if they face criminal corruption charges. Jacob Weinroth is considered to be one of the country’s top defense attorneys.

The potential prosecution stems from a report published Tuesday by Israel’s state comptroller, accusing the Netanyahus of spending public funds in a way that “strayed from the cornerstone principles of financial management and the principles of proportionality, reasonableness, saving, and efficiency.”

Three weeks ago, Israeli artillery “retaliated” for a cross-border Hezbollah attack, and ended up killing a Spanish soldier with the UN observer force, UNIFIL. The UNIFIL now believes Israel deliberately targeted them.

White House mulls snubbing AIPAC conference in response to Netanyahu's Congress speech

The administration has been signaling that this year's conference of America's leading pro-Israel lobby may not be attended by a Cabinet-level guest.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Attention Secret Service: Be aware that if Obama really pisses off Netanyahu, that Israel may try to "remove" Obama and put a more compliant Biden into the Oval Office. Be vigilant!

Leaked e-mails show that Israeli consulate, StandWithUs tried to thwart Northwestern divestment (Updated)

The Israeli consulate and other pro-Israel groups teamed up to try to thwart a divestment campaign at Northwestern University, according to e-mails obtained by Mondoweiss.

Their efforts ultimately failed, though. Last night, Northwestern University’s student government voted to recommend divestment from corporations linked to the Israeli army. The resolution passed with 24 student senators voting in favor, and 22 against.

The leaked messages are from a listserv for the campus’ Hillel. They provide insight into the inner workings of how pro-Israel groups, many of them from outside campus, are banding together to fight divestment resolutions on campus. The boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement on U.S. college campuses has become a major focus for pro-Israel groups over the past few years.

The long struggle of the Palestinians in Israel

Concomitant with Israel’s founding in 1948, its armed forces systematically expelled Palestine’s native population and razed some 500 of their communities to the ground in the largest and most successfully denied ethnic cleansing campaign in modern times.

A mere six and a half decades later, who knows about Damoun, for example? Who remembers it except for its surviving refugee sons and daughters and their descendants?

Why London’s SOAS should vote to sever links with Israeli universities

Next week, 23-27 February, there will be a school-wide referendum in which students, academics and other staff members will vote on whether to boycott Israeli academic institutions and put pressure on SOAS to follow the BDS guidelines.

For weeks we have been campaigning for a yes vote, organizing events, distributing flyers and posters to raise awareness about the complicity of Israeli academic institutions in the ongoing oppression and human rights violations of the Palestinian people.

In this video we as the student and academic body of the BDS campaign aim to expose SOAS’s collaboration with Israeli academic institutions, such as Hebrew University, which are deeply tied to the Israeli military. We should not, as students and academics, let SOAS maintain these links in our name.

Finally! The US is busting Israeli banks

Bank Leumi, Israel's second largest bank, admitted late last year to helping its American customers evade income taxes, hide assets, and launder their money back into the United States. The bank agreed to pay $130 million in fines to New York regulators and another $270 million to the federal government, and assist in an ongoing probe of other Israeli banks.

But I know that the FBI and SEC have known about this for decades because I personally flagged it to them in 1989, when Crazy Eddie was busted for fraud and I was trying to avoid prison time. (Which I did.)

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, from 1989 to 2015, the US Government knew that Bank Leumi was helping American Jews avoid taxes, AND DID NOTHING ABOUT IT!

The Fallacy of Rising Anti-Semitism

Anti-Semitism is on the rise. All over Europe it is raising its ugly head. Jews are in danger everywhere. They must make haste and come home to Israel before it is too late.

True? Untrue?

Nonsense.

Practically all the alarming incidents which have taken place in Europe recently – especially in Paris and Copenhagen – in which Jews were killed or attacked – had nothing to do with anti-Semitism.

All these outrages were conducted by young Muslims, mostly of Arab descent. They were part of the ongoing war between Israelis and Arabs that has nothing to do with anti-Semitism. They are not descended from the pogrom in Kishinev and not related to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

In theory, Arab anti-Semitism is an oxymoron, since Arabs are Semites. Indeed, Arabs may be more Semitic then Jews, because Jews have mingled for many centuries with Gentiles.

David Cole: Holocaust is based on fakes, frauds, and forgeries

David Cole is not an “anti-Semite” or “revisionist”. He is ardently pro-Zionist, pro-Israel Jew. He is author of book Republican Party Animal. In his latest article, entitled Justifying My Existence, published at TAKI’s Magazine on February 17, 2015, he wrote: I attempt to correct the historical record regarding the Holocaust, primarily by sniffing out and exposing fake artifacts and fraudulent or improperly-used documents.

In no other field are fakes, frauds, and forgeries tolerated as they are in Holocaust history. And in no other field are the people who try to sort the fakes from the facts so ruthlessly attacked and in many countries imprisoned, David Cole added.

UN Report Reveals How Israel is Coordinating with ISIS Militants Inside Syria

The Syrian conflict continues to develop into a proxy war, pitting various foreign ‘national interests’ against one another, including US vs. Syria, US vs Iran, Saudi Arabia vs Syria, Qatar vs. Syria, Turkey vs. Kurdistan and Iran vs. Israel – to name only a few. So the support network behind Washington’s ‘Moderate Rebels’ and terrorist groups fighting in Syria is comprised of many contributing covert intelligence agencies, including the CIA, MI5/6, Mossad, France, NATO, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

School near Nablus repeatedly attacked by Israel

A school near the occupied West Bank city of Nablus has been repeatedly attacked by Israel.

On 4 February, Israeli forces fired sound bombs into a secondary school serving the Palestinian villages of al-Lubban and al-Sawiya. A flimsy excuse was given to justify this assault on the right to education: Israeli settlers had alleged that pupils from the school had thrown stones at them.

How EU-US trade deal could thwart “boycott Israel” campaign

Two members of the US Congress have introduced a bill that would turn a giant trade deal between the EU and US into a devastating weapon against the people of Palestine and all those seeking justice alongside them. Together with the proposed Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) that is currently under negotiation, the proposed bill would compel all 28 EU member states to crack down on European groups participating in the growing movement of boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Israel in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

In order to combat the increasing isolation of Israel in global public opinion, European governments would effectively be turned into police agents for the US state.

Students allege “travesty of justice” as Ohio university muzzles debate on Israel divestment

After several hours of debate on Tuesday night, the student government at the University of Toledo in Ohio shut down a hearing on a resolution to divest from firms abetting Israel’s crimes.

Just before the vote was to take place by the student senate, the university’s Student Judicial Council, part of the student government, announced that it had ruled a resolution calling for divestment “unconstitutional” on the grounds that it was “discriminatory” and “one-sided.” The ruling allowed no recourse or debate and the entire vote was then scrapped.

As The Electronic Intifada reported, the university administration had insisted that discussions relating to the resolution be conducted in a secretive manner.

WHAT THE NETANYAHUS CAN LEARN FROM HARRY AND BESS TRUMAN

Harry Truman was a different kind of President. He probably made as many, or more important decisions regarding our nation’s history as any of the other 32 Presidents preceding him. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did after he left the White House.

The only asset he had when he died was the house he lived in, which was in Independence , Missouri . His wife had inherited the house from her mother and father and other than their years in the White House, they lived their entire lives there.

When he retired from office in 1952 his income was a U.S. Army
pension reported to have been $13,507..72 a year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and personally licking them, granted him an ‘allowance’ and later, a retroactive pension of $25,000 per year.

After President Eisenhower was inaugurated, Harry and Bess drove
home to Missouri by themselves. There was no Secret Service following them.

Israel’s worst nightmare coming true: Commentator

Press TV has conducted an interview with E. Michael Jones, an editor at Culture Wars Online Magazine, to discuss a decision by the US government to limit the exchange of information with Israel over the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran.

Jones says the Israelis' worst nightmare is coming true, adding that the increasing gap between Tel Aviv and Washington is what Israelis have repeatedly warned Netanyahu about since one month ago, when US Congressman invited him to address a joint session of the Congress without coordinating with the White House.

A group of Israeli settlers from the Asfar (Metzad) settlement, to the east of the town of Al Shuyoukh, uprooted 550 olive tree saplings on Tuesday night and ran away.

The Sarah Palin of Israel

The most powerful woman in Israel’s ruling Likud party has just moved into a trailer. Knesset member Miri Regev, the party’s attack dog and the closest thing Israel has to Sarah Palin, boarded the mobile home—attached to an Audi SUV—last week ready to crisscross the country campaigning for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a man who never wanted her to be the face of the party to so many Israelis.

She admits that the trailer, decorated with the Likud’s blue colors and emblazoned with her face, is a gimmick, but it’s one that fits her well. She is, after all, the queen of media stunts—and a frequent object of mockery by Israeli journalists and satirists.

Israeli analyst warns European Jews not to migrate to Israel

Israeli analyst Zvi Bar'el has criticised Benjamin Netanyahu's suggestion that European Jews should migrate to Israel to escape what the prime minister claims is a "growing wave of anti-Semitism" and the "Islamic State threat". Bar'el pointed out that Israel is unable to fulfil Netanyahu's promises to new immigrants.

"Fear in Israel is greater, the crime level is higher and the terrorism threat is more real," wrote Bar'el in an article published by Haaretz newspaper. He pointed out that the real problem is not only that the Jews of Europe aren't safe. "The Jews of Israel have a hard time being convinced that their haven can face up to the threats in the region that Netanyahu warns them of daily," he claimed. "Let's assume that thousands of Jews do decide to abandon their businesses, studies, homes and livelihoods and board rescue flights to Ben-Gurion International Airport. What will they find here?"

White House Accuses Israel Of 'Distorting' Truth Of U.S.-Iran Nuclear Negotiations

The Barack Obama-led administration on Wednesday accused the Israeli government of misleading the public on negotiations between the U.S. and Iran over the latter's nuclear program. U.S. Officials reportedly said that Israel is engaged in “cherry-picking.”

“I think it is safe to say not everything you are hearing from the Israeli government is an accurate reflection of the details of the talks,” U.S. state department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said on Wednesday. She also confirmed that the U.S. government is withholding some details related to the talks from the Israelis.

Admitted: US helped Israel build the Bomb

An official government document revealing the true extent of this ‘special relationship’ is now available for the world to see.

It surely would not have been possible for the Israelis to acquire the H-Bomb without American help, and now we know for sure that the US did indeed help – allegedly ‘skirting’ around strict international standards on the issue.

At present, much is being made by Republicans in the US Congress about Iran’s alleged (and still non existent) nuclear weapons program and “the rule of law”, so this latest revelation only their own belies grandiose platitudes on the issue.
