Yemeni Children Suffering from Malnutrition

Yemen’s cholera outbreak - the worst in the world - is accelerating again, with roughly 10,000 suspected cases now reported per week, the latest data from the World Health Organization (WHO) showed on Tuesday.

Troops Deploy in Yemen’s Aden as Separatists Call for Uprising: Southern Transitional Council prepares takeover of South Yemen

Long-standing separatist ambitions in South Yemen could be coming to a head soon, with troops loyal to the Saudi-backed government massing in the city of Aden. They are preparing to resist calls by separatists to launch a full-scale uprising.

The Southern Transitional Council (STC), which envisions itself becoming an interim government after this uprising, is said also to be mobilizing, with its own forces preparing to seize government buildings across the south.

The STC is blaming Saudi Arabia for mounting corruption across the south, and has long envisioned ending the Saudi invasion by just splitting the country along the pre-unification borders. Pro-Saudi officials say that the STC must abandon all plans, saying they would benefit Iran.

Yemen was unified militarily in 1990, when North Yemen’s former President Ali Abdullah Saleh conquered the South. Since then, separatists have remained an active movement in the south, envisioning reclaiming the lost country.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These movements are headed toward an even more catastrophic outcome than the Yemeni people have suffered through to date in this war.

As Saudis Defend Against War Crimes Allegations, Saudi Airstrike in Yemen Kills Entire Family

The latest attack comes just hours after Saudi Arabia admitted that its forces have committed what it called “certain mistakes” in Yemen, after increasing pressure from international bodies and human-rights groups that accuse the kingdom of carrying out war crimes in the country.

Yemen on verge of famine as millions cannot access aid

About one million people in northern Yemen are living in makeshift camps on the verge of famine.

They're in a Houthi-controlled area that the Saudi-Emirati coalition has been attacking and that's making it difficult for aid to reach camps. Without a ceasefire and end to the attacks, aid organisations cannot bring in the amount of food necessary for the displaced Yemenis to survive the conflict.

West, GCC, Israel Fear “Shiite Crescent” Turning Into “Full Moon” According To Leaked 2009 Cable

By Brandon Turbeville

On May 8, 2018, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the United States will be pulling out of the “Iran Nuclear Deal” which was struck under the Obama administration, a deal that he has repeatedly called a “bad deal” and even “the single worst deal I’ve ever seen drawn by anybody.”

“The so-called Iran deal was supposed to protect the United States and our allies from the lunacy of an Iranian nuclear bomb, a weapon that will only endanger the survival of the Iranian regime,” the President said. “In fact, the deal allowed Iran to continue enriching uranium and over time reach the brink of a nuclear breakout.”

He added that “Today, we have definitive proof that this Iranian promise was a lie.”

Yet there was absolutely no evidence to back Trump up on his claims...

Scores Killed in Heavy Fighting Around Yemen’s Hodeidah Port

Saudi-backed forces are reporting heavy fighting in and around the vital aid port of Hodeidah, in northwestern Yemen. Reports suggest that over 60 were killed in the course of the day’s clashes, with 54 of them Shi’ite Houthis.

Fighting initially focused on some of the rare farms around the province, and some military positions leading into the port city itself. The port is the source of food aid for about 70% of Yemen, and the lone port under the control of the Houthi movement.

Yemen imports the vast, vast majority of its food, so a protracted battle for the last Houthi port could cut off millions in Houthi territory from any food aid at all, leading to mass starvation. The Saudi-backed forces have promised to eventually open “humanitarian routes” out of the city.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Eventually" when it comes to the Saudi foreign policy, which is engineered to starve the Houthis into submission, as they will through the control of its main port in Hodeidah, will be when pigs make the discovery that they are aerodynamic!!

And we have the following development, datelined yesterday: Hodeidah cholera cases triple after Saudi/UAE offensive.

Saudi Arabia Admits ‘Mistakes’ in Targeting in Yemen: Investigators ask how many times Saudis can accidentally bomb same civilian targets

Addressing the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child on Monday with respect to the massive civilian death toll in the Saudi invasion of Yemen, Saudi officials made rare admissions of fault, saying that they had made “mistakes” in targeting and were working hard to rectify the problem.

Saudi officials were clearly trying to use this to get a pass on the ten thousand-plus killed civilians, insisting that the internal investigations note the “mistakes,” and that perpetrators will be “held to account,” despite little evidence that this ever happened.

The UN committee didn’t appear to be sold on this idea either, with members noting the war has been going on since 2015 with no sign of prosecutions for civilian deaths. Panel chairwoman Renate Winter noted that an awfully large number of these “mistakes” had hit the same civilian targets, with several schools and hospitals hit myriad times. She asked how many times the Saudis could possibly keep making that same mistake.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Saudis will keep on making the "same mistake", because the B.O.Y. (the Butcher of Yemen, AKA Crown Prince Bin Salman) and his BFF in the Middle East, Amerika's Merchant of Death in Chief, President Trump, want to see as many kids, schools, and hospitals blown up as humanly possible, because they don't want future Yemenis growing up with a memory that Yemen, at one point, had both an independent history, and national trajectory other, than through Saudi control.

One Click Closer to Annihilation

The nuclear war doomsday clock maintained on the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists website has advanced to two minutes before midnight, the closest point to possible atomic apocalypse since the end of the Cold War. In 1995 the clock was at fourteen minutes to midnight, but the opportunity to set it back even further was lost as the United States and its European allies took advantage of a weakened Russia to advance NATO into Eastern Europe, setting the stage for a new cold war, which is now underway.

It is difficult to imagine how the United States might avoid a new war in the Middle East given the recent statements that have come out of Washington, and, given that the Russians are also active in the region, a rapid and massive escalation of something that starts out as a minor incident should not be ruled out.

Syria a victim of wars fought in the name of oil – Austrian Foreign Minister

Oil is the real reason behind all conflicts in the Middle East while Syria is just the latest victim of this struggle, Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl told the UN General Assembly in a speech she started in Arabic.

The very existence of the modern Middle Eastern states have been “shaped by oil business,” Kneissl told the UNGA. A Middle East expert herself went on to explain that the borders of the states that were established following the breakdown of the Ottoman Empire were “based on pipelines.”

All the wars the region witnessed over the recent decades are just a continuation of this fight for the control over the fossil fuels that still “dominate the energy mix” in the world, the foreign minister said, adding that Syria, which has been engulfed in a bloody seven-years conflict, is “a victim of instability created by all these wars.”

Paul Craig Roberts: Where Does Our Attention Belong - Kavanaugh Or Yemen?

There are reports that the Washington-initiated and militarily-supported Saudi Arabian war against Yemen have a starving Yemeni population eating leaves.

The Saudis, with Washington’s GPS support, continue to target school buses, massacring children as an element of the terror assault against the population, trying to break Yemeni resistance by murdering children on school buses. Washington continues to supply the Saudis with the weapons to target school buses and the diplomatic support to protect the criminal Saudi regime from war crimes charges.

The European cowards turn their heads. Even Russia is silent. Putin’s “partnership” with the criminal state of Saudi Arabia is more important.

UAE should expect more attacks if aggression on Yemen continues, Ansarullah spokesman

The spokesman for Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement says the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has no option but to expect more operations from Yemeni army forces and their allied fighters from Popular Committees in case the Saudi-led military aggression and blockade against his impoverished homeland continues.

“The Yemeni air force has carried out the second attack of its kind within a month against Dubai International Airport using a domestically-built and long-endurance Sammad-3 (Invincible-3) unmanned aerial vehicle,” Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah television network cited Mohammed Abdul-Salam as writing on his official Twitter page on Sunday.

The Houthi spokesman added, “Even though Emirati authorities are trying to conceal the attack for the time being and deny air traffic disturbances at their airport, they will be forced to expect more operations should aggression and siege on Yemeni people continue.”

US Air Force Refueling of Saudi Warplanes in Yemen Continues

New data from the US Air Force shows that the refueling operation for the Saudi-led war in Yemen is continuing apace with no sign of slowing. The US has refueled Saudi warplanes attacking Yemen since April of 2015.

Central Command revealed that the US has conducted 2,919 sorties, offloading 92.3 million pounds of fuel since the war began. The statement confirmed this was “in support of US missions and Saudi and Emirate operations against threats throughout the horn of Africa.”

US involvement in the Yemen War has been extremely controversial, with Congress once again working on a bill aiming to compel the administration to stop participating. The war was never authorized by the US Congress.

Refueling is the primary US operation in Yemen, which is a particularly controversial part of the war, since Saudi airstrikes have been killing massive numbers of Yemeni civilians in the course of the war.

What is behind Qatar’s shift towards Israel?

Over the past year or so, the tiny Gulf state of Qatar has been getting increasingly close to pro-Israel figures from the United States. Things are so bad that Qatar last year donated a quarter of a million dollars to some of America’s mostly rabidly anti-Palestinian, hard-right Zionist organisations, including the Zionist Organisation of America, whose president Morton Klein this month slandered Palestinians in openly racist terms as “filthy Arab[s]”.

A pro-Israel policy is something of a departure for the small, gas-rich emirate. Qatar has enormous amounts of natural gas under its control, which guarantees virtually unlimited economic freedom. According to Qatargas, it has the world’s third-largest natural gas reserves after Russia and Iran.

Yemen doctors despair as babies starve in 'orphaned province'

At Nasr Hospital's emergency room in the Yemeni city of Daleh, a little boy struggles to breathe. He is too tired, or too hungry, to cry.

Born with a degenerative neurological disease, his muscles have atrophied to nothing, his tiny joints visible through his pale skin, his stomach distended.

The child's body cannot retain even water, so nurses have resorted to putting him in diapers.

And doctors say there is nothing they can do.

The boy is one of an estimated five million Yemeni children who may not see their next birthday in a war the UN children's fund has described as a "living hell" for minors.

The UN has warned that international aid agencies are losing the fight against famine in Yemen, where 3.5 million people may soon be added to the eight million Yemenis already facing starvation -- more than half of them children.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The collective punishment of a people, through assassinations, the introduction of possibly weaponized diseases, destruction of water infrastructure or malnutrition, because Yemen's ports are blockaded, are all war crimes, which the Saudis, backed by their country's Leader, one of President Trump's BFF in the Middle East, the Butcher of Yemen (sometimes also known as Prince Bin Salman).

Americans, please wake up, and quickly; your country is enabling Saudi war crimes in Yemen.

It is time to peacefully, logically call out this government for what it is; the leading global merchant of death, one of whose main spokespersons, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, lied through his teeth to Congress about the ultimate usage of US missiles by the Saudi military, to save the sales deal.Mike Pompeo lied to Congress about Yemen, to protect arms sales

I don't know how upset you are about living in a country which supports war crimes, around the world, with utter impunity... because it can; as a Christian Pacifist Activist, who never advocates violence, I am deeply concerned about the moral price of these actions over time, because there will be a reckoning, brought about by the US government's imperial hubris which characterises these war crimes as "necessary for the greater good."

The "greater good"?!? For whom, please?!? It is not for the good of We the People; it is for the profits of Those the Monied, and the banks and corporations which, essentially, in America, bankroll presidential campaigns, and drive both foreign and domestic policy.

Saudi Arabia, UAE Fail to Halt UN Yemen Human Rights Inquiry

In a 21-8 vote, the UN Human Rights Council has agreed to extend the inquiry into human rights violations committed during the Saudi-led war in Yemen. Saudi Arabia and its allies in the United Arab Emirates both condemned the news.

Such votes happen every year around the UN General Assembly meeting, with the Saudis trying to limit such votes and insisting that any investigations are only going to “deepen divisions” in Yemen.

The council spent several days debating the matter, with those in favor of more investigations, led by the Netherlands and Canada, winning out handily, while many other nations chose to abstain.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And what will the UN do, after this investigation is over?!?

Nothing; diddlysquat; zero; nada!

The UN is just as impotent to cure Saudi Arabia's genocidal attacks on Yemen as is a steer trying to procreate.

IRAN WARNS SAUDIS OF "RED LINES" AND THREATENS US BASES "WILL NOT BE SAFE"

Iran has issued a number of threats on Friday following official charges made by leaders in Tehran that Saudi Arabia and the UAE funded a terrorist attack on a military parade in a southwest district last Saturday which killed 25 people, including members of the elite Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

Iranian military officials declared "red lines" against the two Gulf countries, threatening war, while in a separate statement a senior cleric said US regional bases will not be safe if "America does anything wrong".

"If America does anything wrong, their bases around Iran would not remain secure,"Ayatollah Mohammadali Movahedi Kermani was quoted as saying by Mizan news agency while leading Friday prayers in Tehran.

And simultaneously the Fars news agency quoted Brigadier General Hossein Salami, deputy head of the IRGC, as saying in reference to the Saudis and Emirates: “If you cross our red lines, we will surely cross yours. You know the storm the Iranian nation can create.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Dear Ayatollah Kermani and IRGC General Salami: a word, please, respectfully.

Intelligent people understand that Israel, the Emirates, the Saudis, and some forces in the US government, would stop at nothing to try to "regime change" Tehran, including supporting/funding/orchestrating a mass terror attack against the IRGC.

You need to understand that intelligent people in the US do not want a war against Iran, and as a Christian pacifist activist, I detest war as a means of resolving geopolitical differences.

But please also understand: the people of the Unhinged, Surveilled, State of Amerika have utterly no control over their government whatsoever.

Elections in this country are a very brilliantly staged, Kabuki-like display of the illusion that the American people in this country are actually in control of its future, when they are not.

Unfortunately, the cold, hard, bleak reality is that by the time candidates are presented by both Democrats and Republicans as their Presidential contenders, they have all been vetted by that dark triumverate, the American Deep State; major corporations; and the military industrial complex, to assure that the wars they want to see happen, will happen.

Also, unfortunately, Iran has been on both Israel's and the US's "regime change" list ever since it's 1979 revolution.

And so, this fall, we have "the perfect storm" situation signaling an attack against Iran, in that we have a sitting President, President Trump, whose BFFs in the Middle East are the Butcher of Palestine (a.k.a. Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu, and Saudi Arabia's Butcher of Yemen (a.k.a. Prince Mohammed bin Salman).

The timing of such an attack may well happen just before the mid-term elections happen here in the US. President Trump has issued his "drop dead date edict", that no country will be allowed to purchase Iranian oil after Sunday, 4 November, or suffer dire economic consequences

Tuesday, 6 November is the date of the US's midterms. I would suspect that such an attack against Iran might well be planned right around those dates, in order to make President Trump look "butch" to the voting electorate.

Unfortunately, just because something is the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing the US government could do, is no guarantee that it won't do it.

US pushes forward with plans for anti-Iran Arab alliance

The Trump administration pressed ahead Friday with plans to create an “Arab NATO” that would unite U.S. partners in the Middle East in an anti-Iran alliance.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met in New York with foreign ministers from Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to advance the project. The State Department said Pompeo had stressed the need to defeat the Islamic State group and other terrorist organizations as well ending the conflicts in Syria and Yemen, securing Iraq and “stopping Iran’s malign activity in the region.”

“All participants agreed on the need to confront threats from Iran directed at the region and the United States,” the department said in a statement. It added that the ministers had “productive discussions” on setting up what is to be known as the “Middle East Strategic Alliance” to promote security and stability in the region.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would think that such an alliance might be possible...when pigs discover they are aerodynamic.

HOUSE RESOLUTION DIRECTS TRUMP TO END U.S. SUPPORT FOR YEMEN WAR

IN CONGRESS, FRUSTRATION with the U.S. role in Yemen is nearing a breaking point. Sen. Bob Menendez — the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee — is holding up a $2 billion arms sale to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates over concerns that the two countries routinely bomb civilian targets. Meanwhile, in the House, U.S. assistance to the Saudi- and UAE-led coalition is about to face another major hurdle.

On Wednesday, California Democrat Ro Khanna introduced a resolution invoking the 1973 War Powers Act, declaring that Congress never authorized U.S. support for the coalition in Yemen and directing President Donald Trump to withdraw U.S. troops from “hostilities” against the Houthis, the Iranian-backed rebel group at war with Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The resolution would not affect U.S. forces who are on the ground in Yemen fighting Al Qaeda.

The US Isn’t Just Backing the Yemen War – It’s Helping Trap Those Forced To Flee

By now, the images are infamous: stunned, bloodied Yemeni children arriving at the hospital after their summer camp bus was bombed by Saudi aircraft. The United States is deeply implicated in that August 9 attack, which killed 54 people – most of them children

Fragments from the bomb bear the labels of U.S. weapons manufacturers. The indefensible nature of the bombing – there were no combatants anywhere in sight – has garnered headlines and even attention on Capitol Hill, opening a new conversation about US involvement in the years-long siege of Yemen by a coalition headed by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am disgusted with my government, many members of which allegedly identify as Christians, but who SO love, LOVE, LOVE the concept of infants getting torn apart, killed and maimed for life with US-made weapons, and making sure that the profits of their warmonger campaign contributors are protected. And folks, this is what this war looks like on ground for Yemeni kids: (warning: graphic images)

Yemeni children, killed and maimed for life from US-enabled Saudi bombings

Images: Yemeni children starving to death from malnutrition, due to US-enabled Saudi port blockades

Yemeni children sick and dying by (possibly weaponized) cholera.

And there is another article to which I would like you to pay attention, again from antiwar.com, as follows:

In Yemen and beyond, US arms manufacturers are abetting crimes against humanity

The US government has been complicit in aiding and abetting Saudi war crimes in Yemen, which means that WE, as citizens of this country, are also complicit, until we collectively, and peacefully, have a dialogue with our alleged representatives in Congress, and demand that this country stop aiding and abetting these war crimes in Yemen. And if your Congressional Representative is up for re-election this year, tell them that failure on their part to do this, is an election loser for them, and you are looking forward to their progress in making this happen, before the mid-terms.

And one last article on the issue, and let your Congressional representative understand that this exists:

Bi-Partisan House Bill Aims to Stop US Military Involvement in the Yemen War.

Please tell your Representative, calmly and peacefully, that you fully expect them to support this bill.

Ahwaz Attacks: Is Saudi Arabia Taking The War Inside Iran?

Less than a month after Iran’s consulate in Basra was attacked, a group of terrorists claiming to be members of the Movement for the Liberation of Ahwaz attacked a military parade in the capital of Iran’s Khuzestan province, killing 25 people and wounding many more. When the Basra consulate incident took place , some commentators in Iran speculated that the attackers also wanted to target Khorramshahr and Abadan. Now it seems that they were not too wrong.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am thinking here that Saudi Arabia would like to destabilize Iran from the inside, and unfortunately, by not taking care of its people in its outlying areas, the Iranian government is making people "ripe for acquisition" to join a jihad against the current government.

I think that the "trigger" for any attack against Iran, either by Saudi Arabia, the US and/or Israel, may well be President Trump's "drop dead date", 4 November, past which he has decreed that the world can no longer buy Iranian oil, or be economically sanctioned.

There is a companion piece I would like to share here, again from antiwar.com: EU Foreign Policy Chief wants Iran Clearing House Open before November.

Saudi-Backed Yemen ‘President’ Dismisses Peace Talks as Doomed to Fail

Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, the Saudi-backed “president” of Yemen, spoke at the UN General Assembly today, dismissing the idea of any further attempts at peace talks with the Houthi movement as “doomed to fail.”

Hadi was installed as the Yemeni President in a US and UN-backed move after the Arab Spring. He was nominally “elected” in a vote in which he was the only allowed candidate. He was given a two-year term, starting in 2012. That has long since expired, though he maintains he is the legitimate president, and the Saudis maintain reinstalling him is the purpose of their war in Yemen.

Hadi’s attempts to cling to power, and to violently crush the Shi’ite Houthis led to his initial expulsion from the country, and the Saudi-led war intends to put him back. Hadi insists that there is no point in talks with the “gangster-like” Houthis, and continues to refer back to UN Security Council resolutions from years ago calling for the Houthis to surrender all territory to Hadi.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Well, you heard it from the horse's mouth here; Al-Hadi is determined that the Saudis bring more death, starvation, disease, maiming, and pain to Yemen to "avenge" his alleged "presidency" of Yemen.

Report: Yemen Civilian Deaths Skyrocketing Since June

Escalations of the Saudi-led war in Yemen, including the attack on the Yemeni port city of al-Hodeidah, has seen the already huge civilian death toll of the war skyrocket, up 164% just since June.

According to the International Rescue Committee, the month of August was by far the worst of the year, with a single nine-day period leaving nearly 500 civilians killed. They noted that on- third of Saudi airstrikes have hit non-military targets.

It is unsurprising that August would be such a particularly deadly month, with a Saudi airstrike early in the month hitting a school bus full of children, killing 51 of them. Saudi officials long maintained that the attack was “legitimate,” but there was never any question the victims were civilians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ah, but you see, Saudi Arabia's B.O.Y. ( the Butcher of Yemen, Prince Bin Salman), and his BFF, aka the American Merchant of Death in Chief and (unfortunately it's President as well), LOVES those huge figures, and wishes there could be even more assassinations of women, infants, and the medically fragile elderly.

They are just angry and aggravated that the taking of Hodeidah has been so slow, because they want to capture it in tact, and not in pieces.

S-300s in, Patriots out: US to withdraw missiles from 3 Middle East countries – report

The Pentagon will remove four batteries of PAC-3 Patriot missiles from three Middle-Eastern countries, according to the Wall Street Journal. The report said the missiles are needed elsewhere to counter China and Russia.
The US newspaper said Jordan and Bahrain will lose one battery of US long-range anti-aircraft missiles next month, while Kuwait will part with two. The systems are not meant to be replaced, so the withdrawal would permanently reduce the defensive capabilities of the three nations. The systems are already offline and are being prepared to be moved, a military source told the WSJ.

The report would not disclose where the Patriot missiles would be redeployed, but said it was part of the Pentagon’s strategy of changing focus from the Middle East towards China and Russia, which were named as the main threats to US global interests in the Trump administration’s defense strategy review.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, the Federal Government of the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika, has declared that Russia and China are going to be the next "problem children" in the global community of countries?!?

God help us; do they really intend to go to war in Syria against Russia? The following statement was just announced three days ago: Trump to keep troops Syria until Iran leaves

Congress resolution aims to force Trump into ending US involvement in Yemen War

US involvement in the “world’s worst humanitarian crisis” – the war in Yemen – could soon come to a halt as 23 members of Congress put forward a resolution to stop troops from assisting in “unauthorized” hostilities.

California Democrat Ro Khanna introduced the resolution on Wednesday, invoking the 1973 War Powers Act. The resolution directs US President Donald Trump to “to remove United States Armed Forces from hostilities in the Republic of Yemen that have not been authorized by Congress.”

US forces have been providing logistical and intelligence support to the Saudis in their military intervention in Yemen since 2015. Assistance has included aerial refueling, permitting coalition aircraft more loitering time over Yemen, and permitting some coalition members to home base aircraft rather than relocate them to Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Coalition to Open Humanitarian Corridors Out of Yemen’s Hodeidah Port

On Monday, a spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition attacking Yemen announced that they will open a humanitarian corridor out of the vital aid port of Hodeidah. The corridor is intended to allow aid deliveries to the capital city of Sanaa.

The decision is being done in coordination with the UN. Officials did not say when this corridor would be opened, but it would only allow travel parts of the day through certain routes. Hodeidah is the lone source of food aid for all of northern Yemen, and is estimated to feed about 70% of the entire country.

With Saudi-led forces attacking Hodeidah, and cutting off all supply routes, materially no aid is coming out of the city right now. This had led aid groups to warn that Yemen will run out of food in the next two months, leading to mass starvation.

Top US Diplomat Sustained Support for Yemen War to Protect $2B in Weapon Sales

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo decided to continue US funding and military support for the Saudi-led coalition devastating Yemen with its blockade of the vital port city of Hodeidah and relentless bombings of civilians and civil infrastructure.

On September 12, Secretary Pompeo certified to Congress that the Saudi-led coalition, which includes the United States and the United Arab Emirates are "undertaking demonstrable actions to reduce the risk of harm to civilians and civilian infrastructure." The statement came within hours of a coalition airstrike on a bus station that left 27 civilians dead.

Yemen’s Hodeida Offensive: Once Avoidable, Now Imminent

The coalition’s strategy seems to be to seal the Houthis into Hodeida and squeeze.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Pompeo knew he was signing off on a lie, to protect US weapons sales:

Pompeo Lied to Congress About Yemen To Protect Arms Sales ("Originally appeared on The American Conservative.)

The article goes on to state:

Mike Pompeo’s certification earlier this month that the Saudi coalition was working to reduce harm to civilians in Yemen was an obvious sham. According to a new report in The Wall Street Journal, Pompeo made the decision to lie for the Saudis and Emiratis because he feared it would hurt arms sales:

Mr. Pompeo overruled concerns from most of the State Department specialists involved in the debate who were worried about the rising civilian death toll in Yemen. Those who objected included specialists in the region and in military affairs. He sided with his legislative affairs team after they argued that suspending support could undercut plans to sell more than 120,000 precision-guided missiles to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, according to a classified State Department memo and people familiar with the debate."

Foreign policy in this country is never about protecting "We the People"; it is about protecting the wealth of "Those the Monied", as in defence contractors, who contribute so lavishly, overtly, and covertly, to national campaigns.

And if your national Presstitute Warrespondents has not covered the plight of Yemen, under the B.O.Y.'s watch, the following images will make clear why not: (Warning: very graphic)

But what we need to do, on a national scale, is very peacefully, and logically, call this government out on what amounts to aiding and abetting war criminals in Saudi Arabia, in their genocide of Yemen.

In the Wikipedia article about him, I find it thoroughly astonishing that this man identifies himself as a Christian, while performing as the "Assistant Merchant of Death in Chief" for his military industrial complex buddies. Perhaps, he sees no conflict whatsoever; I have to wonder how he cannot.

LEAKED MEMO SHOWS US OVERLOOKED MASS CIVILIAN DEATHS IN YEMEN TO PRESERVE ARMS SALES

On rare occasion a story is unearthed in the mainstream media which demonstrates in stunning clarity how major foreign policy decisions are really made in Washington, especially when it comes to waging perpetual war in the Middle East often under the official rhetorical guise of “protecting civilians”.

A bombshell Wall Street Journal report details a leaked classified memo which shows Secretary of State Mike Pompeo decided to continue US military involvement in the Saudi war on Yemen in order to preserve a massive $2 billion weapons deal with Riyadh.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These days, the governance in this country, is never about really, honestly taking care of the needs and concerns of We the People; it is about how financially morbidly obese defense corporations can squeeze more money out of wars to which the US government should have never committed our military in the bloody first place.

Mercenaries Leading Assault on Yemen Port City Were Trained by IDF in Israel

Foreign mercenaries, trained covertly at secret IDF camps in the Negev desert, are now leading the new assault on the Yemen port city of Hodeida, an assault that observers warns threatens to dramatically worsen Yemen’s already catastrophic humanitarian crisis.

According to U.S. officials close to the House Intelligence Committee with knowledge of the operation, hundreds of mercenaries from various nationalities that fight on behalf of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Yemen had recently received “instance combat training” at training camps in the Negev desert that were created through a secret agreement was reached between the UAE and Israel. Mercenaries at the camp were trained under the “personal supervision” of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

To protect arms sales, Pompeo favors sole voice backing renewed support of Saudis in Yemen – report

Last week Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told the Congress that the Saudi-led coalition was “taking demonstrable action” to do less harm to civilians in Yemen. The certification is a requirement of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2019 and must be issued every six months for US military assistance to the campaign to continue. According to the Wall Street Journal, Pompeo’s certification was issued against the opinions of all but one bureau at the state department that were consulted on the issue.

The WSJ cites a leaked memo as saying that most of military and area specialists urged the secretary to reject certification, because basically it would not be true. They argued that certification would “provide no incentive for Saudi leadership to take our diplomatic messaging seriously,” and “damage the Department’s credibility with Congress,” the report said.

Idlib: Lull Before the Hurricane. New US Military Doctrine for Intervention in Syria

Without fanfare the US has just reformulated its position to create the conditions for it to launch devastating strikes on Syria no longer just on the pretext of alleged use of chemical weapons but on any ‘humanitarian’ pretext the US sees fit. In an interview with the Washington Post on 6 September, James Jeffrey, the hawkish new Special Envoy for Syria fresh from the neocon incubator of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, did not mince words:

“We’ve started using new language,” Jeffrey said, referring to previous warnings against the use of chemical weapons. Now, he said, the United States will not tolerate “an attack. Period.”

“Any offensive is to us objectionable as a reckless escalation” he said. “You add to that, if you use chemical weapons, or create refugee flows or attack innocent civilians.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The primary question is, with the Russian/Turkish agreement in place on Idlib, how long with the Syrian government wait to regain Idlib from US backed terrorists, and will that be the "justification" for an American/Israeli strike against both Syria and Russia?!?

5.2 million children at famine risk in Yemen: charity

More than five million children are at risk of famine in Yemen as the ongoing war causes food and fuel prices to soar across the country, charity Save the Children warned Wednesday.

Disruption to supplies coming through the embattled Red Sea port of Hodeida could "cause starvation on an unprecedented scale," the British based NGO said in a new report.

Save the Children said an extra one million children now risk falling into famine as prices of food and transportation rise, bringing the total to 5.2 million.

A Saudi-led alliance intervened in 2015 in a bid to bolster the president, accusing Iran of backing the Huthis, but nearly 10,000 people have since been killed.

Deadly clashes resumed around the Huthi-held port city of Hodeida following the collapse of talks in Geneva earlier this month.

"Millions of children don't know when or if their next meal will come," said Helle Thorning-Schmidt, CEO of Save the Children International.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Congrats, my brother and sister Americans; isn't it wonderful to understand that you live in a country aiding and abetting Saudi war crimes in Yemen?!?
Mattis says US is still backing Saudi coalition in Yemen war, as lawmakers fume

Yes, I said it; the blockade of Yemen's major ports, preventing food from getting in to innocent non-combatants, are blocked, and now that the Saudis are in position to take over the last port city in Yemen, Hodeidah, the situation will simply get more catastrophic.

And the US government and military are complicit here, up to their collective necks. And while our alleged representatives are allegedly "fuming" about this, they do nothing to stop it, because Tel Aviv and AIPAC want to see the Saudis "win", no matter how horrific the price in blood is for the Yemeni people. DESPITE PLEDGE NOT TO, GERMANY APPROVES SALE OF WEAPONS TO SAUDI ARABIA

With Saudi Arabia forever escalating their war in Yemen, the growing calls by human rights groups to stop selling them arms with which to commit war crimes are struggling to compete with the vast sums of money the Saudis are offering for those arms.

Germany is the latest to renege on promises to ban weapons sales for use in the Yemen War, announcing Wednesday that the Economy Minister has greenlit a new round of artillery systems for sale to the Saudis.

The systems are designed for precise counterattack, and are clearly being bought explicitly to use in Yemen. Yet the Merkel government, as part of its coalition deal, announced a full export ban to “any sides fighting in Yemen,” including the Saudis.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Congratulations, German Prime Minister Merkel, for committing the German people to yet more assassination and genocide of the Yemeni people, and what you have done here looks like this (and no, these images are NOT photoshopped):

images: Yemeni children killed, courtesy of US/enabled Saudi bombing raids over their country

Images: Yemeni children starving to death, courtesy of US-enabled Saudi blockades of Yemeni ports

Images: Yemeni children dying of (potentially weaponized) cholera

Glad you're morally happy with this choice, Prime Minister Merkel, and German arms makers are laughing themselves all the way to the bank from the coming wanton destruction of Yemeni lives by the Saudis.

Made inAmerica

Last month, a CNN investigation found remnants of a US-made bomb at the scene of an airstrike that left dozens of schoolboys dead. Now, an independent Yemen-based human rights group called Mwatana has given CNN exclusive access to a trove of documents that show fragments of US-manufactured bombs at the scene of a string of other incidents since 2015, when the civil war began. In each of those cases, civilians were either killed or put at risk.

Mwatana, which documents violations by all parties in Yemen’s conflict, used its network of trained field researchers to photograph evidence at the scene of strikes. The group consulted weapons experts to identify the weapons used from serial numbers found on the fragments. Mwatana was recognized last month with an award by US body Human Rights First.

Can Russia Survive Her “Partnerships”? Has Putin Made A Strategic Miscalculation?

Paul Craig Roberts

In an act of intentional deception, Israel used a Russian airplane to cloak an Israeli attack on a Syrian ground position, with the consequence that Syrian air defense missiles downed the Russian airplane with the lost of 15 Russian military lives.

One wonders how Israel does it. President Putin covered up for Israel’s destruction of the Russian IL-20 just as President Johnson covered up for Israel’s murderous attack on the USS Liberty that resulted in 208 US Navy casualties. https://www.rt.com/news/438728-putin-israel-syria-plane/ As Israel gets away with everything, including routine massacres of unarmed Palestinian women and children, there is no reason to expect Israel to change its behavior.

Yemen conflict: A million more children face famine, NGO warns

A further one million children are at risk of famine in Yemen, Save the Children has warned.

Rising food prices and the falling value of the Yemeni currency as a result of the conflict are putting more families at risk of food insecurity.

But another threat comes from fighting around the key port city of Hudaydah, which is the entry point for most aid to the country's rebel-held areas.

The charity says a total of 5.2 million children in Yemen now face famine.

FORGET PUTIN: 4 REASONS WHY TRUMP IS NETANYAHU’S MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE

In the months leading up to the 25th anniversary of the Oslo Accords, the U.S. has colluded with Israel in a string of policies and decisions that completely undermine the legitimacy of the agreement, not to mention Palestinian claims to justice, freedom and ultimately peace. As these policies unfold, one cannot help recalling the words of the great Palestinian writer Ghassan Kanafani, who said that talking with the Israelis is “a conversation between the sword and the neck.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

When one is owned by Sheldon Adelson, as is President Trump, because
Adelson has kept throwing all possible contribution money in President Trump's direction, you do his - and Netanyahu's - bidding.

And where this agenda ultimately will most probably take the Unhinged, Surveilled, State of Amerika, is as follows:

It appears very likely that soon, the US will bomb Syria in Idlib, as the result of a staged, faked chemical attack against it, or the result of Syrian and Russian forces attacking the rebel stronghold here, which can potentially morph into a shooting war between the US and Russia Russia there. Tel Aviv wants regime change in Damascus, and apparently, President Trump has promised Netanyahu that he will deliver...but only at the costs of American money, and American blood, rather than Israeli; such a deal!!

It appears that President Trump, realizing that he cannot cause all countries who buy oil from Iran, to stop buying it, may move forward with either a false flag in the Gulf, to prevent Iranian oil from being shipped anywhere, or an outright attack against Tehran, again to generate Israeli-desired regime change here, and again, only at the costs of American blood and American money; such a deal!! Timing is significant here, because it is Sunday, 4 November, which he has given as the "drop dead" date for all countries to stop buying Iranian oil. I would suggest that, between the 4th and Tuesday, the 6th of that month, the date of US mid-terms, that we may well see military action against Iran. I do not know what Russia will do under those circumstances, but my gut is telling me that Russia's Putin - and the Russian Duma - will not be sitting, arms folded, and singing "Kumbayah" should this happen, and may well come to Iran's defense.

So what we have here, are two scenarios which are all upside for Israel's foreign policies, but all downside for the US government, and the US people.

That President Trump is unable to distinguish what is really for the best for the American people, such as not going to war against these countries, and negotiating for resources the US may well need in the future, rather than going to a world war to control them, is one of the most terrifying aspects of this Presidency.

If the rumours regarding Sec-def Mattis' departure from the Cabinet are true, happening right after the mid-terms, with a new Sec-Def confirmed, look for a potential reinstatement of the draft; Trump won't do it before, because he knows it's an election year loser for the Republicans.

I wish I could see a happier outcome for this country, unshackled at the ankles from Israel's foreign policy objectives; but unfortunately, looking at all the potential wars looming to service the Zionist dream for an "Eretz Israel", or greater Israel, I just cannot see such an outcome at this moment in time.

Starving Yemenis forced to eat vine leaves to stay alive

In a remote pocket of northern Yemen, many families with starving children have nothing to eat but the leaves of a local vine, boiled into a sour, acidic green paste. International aid agencies have been caught off guard by the extent of the suffering there as parents and children waste away.

The main health center in Aslam district was flooded with dozens of emaciated children during a recent visit by the Associated Press.

Excruciatingly thin toddlers, eyes bulging, sat in a plastic washtub used in a make-shift scale as nurses weighed them one by one. Their papery skin was stretched tight over pencil-like limbs and knobby knees. Nurses measured their forearms, just a few centimeters in diameter, marking the worst stages of malnutrition.

At least 20 children are known to have died of starvation already this year, more than three years into the country’s ruinous civil war, in the province that includes the district.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US government and military are complicit with Saudi Arabia in war crimes committed in Yemen.

This is what life looks like to Yemeni children on the bring of death, due to starvation, ensured by the blockading of Yemeni ports, courtesy of US-enabled Saudi blockade, because all food, medicine, and humanitarian aid must be delivered by ship. Warning: graphic image:

Images: Yemeni children dying from starvation, courtesy of Saudi/US blockading of Yemen's ports

But we all have to do more than be sad that these kids are dying; we must be peacefully pro-active, by calling our alleged Congressional Representatives, and letting them understand that we are smart enough to realize that this collective punishment of Yemenis is a war crime.

Make sure that they understand that not working to stop American involvement in these atrocities will be a deal breaker, come November's the mid-terms, and ask them politely if they would be willing to go on the record, to support, or condemn, these actions.

Israeli troops kill boy, two men in Gaza protests - medics

Israeli soldiers killed three Palestinians, one of them an 11-year-old boy, and wounded at least 248 others taking part on Friday in weekly protests at the fortified Gaza Strip border, Palestinian medical officials said.

The Israeli military said it used force necessary to repel 13,000 Palestinians who massed at several points at the fence.

Some hurled rocks, fire-bombs and grenades at troops under cover of smoke from burning tyres, injuring a soldier, and nine Palestinians briefly crossed into Israel, the military said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These demonstrations will end in one of two ways; either there is a negotiated settlement between Israel and the Palestinians, affirming the Palestinian Right of Return, or a complete annihilation of Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem.

Given Israeli government and military hubris, unfortunately, I fear that it will be the latter, rather than the former outcome.

President Trump will probably get notified after the fact, and it will probably be carried out when Americans are distracted by football, food, and possibly during the American family festival of Thanksgiving, if Tel Aviv thinks it can wait that long to strike.

But there is one thing about which I am certain; these protests, and the assassinations of innocents by the IDF, will continue until one of the two outcomes I have described above, actually happens.

Yemeni army forces, supported by allied fighters from Popular Committees, have fired a domestically-designed and -developed ballistic missile at a strategic economic target in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern border region of Jizan in retaliation for the Riyadh regime’s devastating military aggression against their impoverished country.

"Alan Dershowitz has challenged Channel 4 TV in Britain and Jeremy Corbyn, casting himself as a defender against anti-Semitism and an advocate for fairness. Dershowitz, who consistently posits himself as a liberal who has discovered that too much tolerance is wrong (for example, The Case For Israel), denounced Corbyn’s displays of tolerance for different viewpoints by attributing to Corbyn the alleged crimes of others. Evidently Dershowitz does not impose these rigours upon himself or his own clients, including Jeffrey Epstein who pled guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution (and with whom Dershowitz was accused and then exonerated while not denying “statements that the underlying alleged misconduct may have occurred with someone else”).">>

Trump May Replace Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis with a Neocon

Now there are rumors circulating that Mattis will step down in the months ahead. If this happens, who will replace him?

Arkansas senator Cotton (or Graham), Bolton, and Sec. State Pompeo would be an almost ideal triad for Israel and the neocons who faithfully do the apartheid state’s bidding in Congress.

For Cotton, it’s all about Israel and the Likudniks. He received $700,000 for his Senate campaign from the Emergency Committee for Israel.

“During the 2014 Israeli invasion of Gaza, when over 500 Palestinian were killed, Cotton called the Israeli defense force ‘the most moral, humanitarian fighting force in the world.’ In December he said Congress should consider supplying Israel with B-52s and so-called ‘bunker-buster’ bombs for a possible strike against Iran,” Medea Benjamin and Nalini Ramachandran wrote back in March, 2015.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please, Lord; not another neocon Likudnik for Secretary of Defense!!

These people are thoroughly blind to the reality that what may in fact be good for Israeli geopolitics may not, at all, be good for the US, and the costs in blood and money for a potential attack against Iran would be horrific.

Pro-Saudi Troops Seize Main Roads Into Yemen’s Port City of Hodeidah

Saudi-backed Yemeni forces have advanced closer to the northern port city of Hodeidah, the main aid port for the northern half of the country. The port is controlled by the Shi’ite Houthi movement, and the Saudi-led forces intend to seize it.

For now, the advancing forces have seized a pair of main roads leading into the city, effectively cutting off the Houthis’ supply line into the city. This also limits the ability of transporting humanitarian aid out of the city.

As the fight over the city drags on, this is increasingly concerning. Hodeidah is the sole source of food for millions in northern Yemen, and the offensive means very little aid is getting out. If the city falls entirely, the aid is likely to stop.

This is why the UN has been pushing for a deal to stop the fighting over Hodeidah. The UN offered to take control of the city just to keep aid flowing, though the pro-Saudi side has rejected the proposal, saying they want the Houthis to unconditionally surrender.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The collective punishment of a people by denying them food, is a war crime; but apparently, the B.O.Y. (the Butcher of Yemen, aka Saudi Crown Prince Bin Salman) believes that the wealthy are to be held above reproach, when they have the power to engineer the kind of genocide and brutality against the Yemeni people we have witnessed here over the past 3 years.

Another Coalition Strike On Yemen Civilian Bus Occurs The Same Day US Affirms It Stands By Saudis

Just as the U.S. in typical fashion continues lecturing countries like Syria, Russia, and Iran over severe human rights violations, including allegations of everything from launching barrel bomb strikes on civilian areas in Idlib to chemical weapons attacks to sensational spy poisoning ops in the U.K., the Saudi-US coalition in Yemen has attacked another bus full of children and civilians in Yemen.

On Wednesday multiple Yemeni journalists reporting from on the ground confirmed a new airstrike resulting in mass civilian casualties, this time a Saudi-US coalition strike scored a direct hit on a bus station in besieged Hodeidah City.

The strike occurred the same day Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Secretary of Defense James Mattis announced they've certified the legality of US assistance to the coalition in Yemen before Congress.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mattis and Pompeo has just certified that the US is completely to be held harmless and indemnified for assisting the Saudis slaughter innocent civilians in Yemen.

I would like to politely suggest to both men, that yes, the arms sales, encouraged by our very own Merchant of Death in-Chief, President Trump, have been through the roof, and the makers of those weapons have a very great bottom line right now.

But at what moral cost to this country, in aiding and abetting Saudi war crimes in Yemen?!?

As a Christian pacifist activist, I will continue to witness to this Saudi genocide in Yemen, and call it for what it is; primarily war crimes against civilians, pure and simple.

And gentlemen, characterizing these US military actions in Yemen as "legal" does not make them a morally correct choice for this government. And it may well backfire against the US government, and in a splendidly spectacular manner.

Is Trump Going Neocon in Syria?

Is Trump ready to order U.S. action against Russian and Syrian forces if Assad gives his army the green light to take Idlib? For the bombing of Idlib has already begun.

What makes this more than an academic exercise is that Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, at a meeting in Tehran last Friday, told President Erdogan of Turkey that the reconquest of Idlib is going forward.

Erdogan fears that the Syrian army’s recapture of Idlib would send hundreds of thousands more refugees streaming to his border.

Turkey already hosts millions of refugees from Syria’s civil war.

Yet the massing of the Syrian army near Idlib and the Russian and Syrian bombing now begun suggest that the Assad-Putin-Rouhani coalition has decided to accept the risk of a clash with the Americans in order to bring an end to the rebellion. If so, this puts the ball in America’s court.

Bolton Warns Next Chemical Attack By Assad Will Lead To Much Stronger Strike On Syria

Dion Nissenbaum

@DionNissenbaum

Trump’s NSC head John Bolton warns Syria that US, France and Britain will hit Assad harder than last two times if he uses chemical weapons in looming battle for last major rebel stronghold in Idlib.

His remarks came during what's being described as his first major speech since joining the Trump administration at an event hosted by the conservative Federalist Society at a Washington, D.C., hotel.

Meanwhile Turkey has also weighed in regarding the ongoing Russian and Syrian allied assault on Al Qaeda-held Idlib, which began days ago when Russia initiated a bombing campaign ahead of an imminent and massive Syrian Army ground offensive.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When the faux chemical attack is complete in Syria, with lots of sympathetic PR, to underscore what a "monster" Al Assad is, the Trump Administration is not even going to WAIT for the overnight polls to come in to see if the public is buying it or not, but will move ahead quickly with a major US attack in Idlib.

I would like to hope (and pray) that his Advisors have told him that threats by the Russian government... are just as serious as is a heart attack, should he order this to happen.

New US Navy Military Exercises in Persian Gulf as Regional Tensions Rise

This month, the US Navy is conducting exercises it claims will guarantee freedom of movement through Persian Gulf and Red Sea waterways, as Iran threatens to obstruct shopping through key maritime positions.

US 5th Fleet Theater Counter Mine and Maritime Security Exercise Commander Scott A. Stearney recently told reporters in Manama that the exercises, which involve both regional and global allies, "illustrate that the US and our partners stand ready to ensure the freedom of navigation and free flow of commerce wherever international law allows," Bloomberg reported Sunday.

According to Stearney, US allies need to be ready to "address anything that threatens our interest or our [US] ships," adding that Iran's activities in the Persian Gulf and Red Sea areas are "promoting instability."

More than 80 dead in fighting in Hodeidah after Yemen peace talks collapse

Clashes and air strikes have left 84 people dead around Yemen's Red Sea port city of Hodeidah since the collapse of United Nations-brokered peace talks, hospital sources have said.

The sources in Hodeidah province, which is controlled by Houthi rebels, said on Sunday that 11 soldiers and 73 rebels had been killed since the talks were abandoned on Saturday.

Dozens of rebels and at least 17 soldiers had also been wounded.

Attempted peace talks between Yemen's Saudi-backed government and the Houthis, who are linked to Iran, collapsed on Sunday, sparking fears of an escalation in the country's conflict.

The rebels refused to leave Yemen for the talks in Geneva, saying the UN had not met their demands - including a plane to transport their wounded to nearby Oman and a guarantee their delegation would be allowed to return to the capital Sanaa.

Netanyahu issues veiled threat of nuclear attack against its “many enemies”

Netanyahu used a visit to an Israeli atomic reactor to warn Iran and others that Israel has the means to destroy them. “Our enemies know very well what Israel is capable of doing.” He said that the weak are slaughtered and erased from history…

Saudi-backed delegates leave Yemen peace talks

A delegation from Yemen’s former government has left UN-brokered talks in Geneva after representatives of the Houthi movement were prevented by Saudi Arabia from attending the negotiations.

"The government delegation is leaving today," said an official from the Saudi-backed team on Saturday, referring to the former Yemeni administration. "There are no expectations the Houthis are coming," he added.

UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths told a news conference that the Houthis were “keen” to get to Geneva.

"They would have liked to get here. We didn't make conditions sufficiently correct to get them here," he said.

Ansarullah accused the Saudis of planning to strand the delegation in Djibouti, where their plane was to make a stop en route to Geneva.

Israeli Racism – Legalized and Running Rampant

Israel’s new Nation State Law, just over 1 month old, has already increased the discrimination against Palestinians in Israel to absurd levels: they’re being prohibited from raising chickens, planting potatoes, gathering traditional herbs. Small sewing and knitting factories are being closed down and moved to Jordan. The only logical explanation: it’s part of a plan to make survival in Israel impossible, to initiate a “soft transfer” or “voluntary emigration” of Palestinians, because mass deportation – as in the Nakba – is no longer practical.

SAUDI DISUNITY ON FULL DISPLAY AS KING’S BROTHER SLAMS CROWN PRINCE OVER YEMEN WAR DEBACLE

Signs of a potential rift within the ruling dynasty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were apparent this week following comments by a Saudi prince that the horrific violence wrought on the people of Yemen should be blamed on the “king and his heir apparent,” a reference to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, often referred to by the initials MBS.

In videotaped footage posted online, the high-ranking Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz al-Saud – one of the last of the sons of founding monarch, Ibn Saud – can be heard responding to protesters in London with rare critical comments that hint at a broader disunity in the ranks of Saudi royals.

In his comments, which were transcribed by Qatari-owned, U.K.-based news outlet Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, the 73-year-old prince said:

Webmaster's Commentary:

Good on Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz al-Saud!!

However, unless he is able to compel the B.O.Y. (the Butcher of Yemen, AKA Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman) to end this war, this statement is completely useless, and does NOT absolve the rest of the Royal House of Saud from remaining silent, and doing nothing, at this Yemeni genocide.

US plan to prevent fall of last terrorist nest in Syria, no concern for civilians – Russian UN envoy

Washington and its allies pursue their geopolitical interests under the guise of humanitarian concerns as they apparently try to prevent the destruction of the last terrorist enclave in Syria, the Russian envoy to the UN said.
The US and its allies have done virtually nothing to contribute to the real peace process in Idlib, the Russian ambassador to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia said, adding that the US particularly did not deliver on its promise to separate the “moderate opposition” groups from the terrorist organizations.

“Instead, [they] are hatching yet another aggressive plan, which includes false flag attacks involving the use of chemical weapons,” the envoy said.

The Western states apparently “go out of their way to prevent the fall of the last major terrorist stronghold in Syria,” Nebenzia said, adding that such actions serve some narrow geopolitical interests rather than the declared need to protect civilians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is only a question of when, not if, the US military will be attacking in Syria, potentially engaging the Russians as well.

Amputee Australian-Lebanese ringleader of plot to blow up an Etihad flight from Sydney to Abu Dhabi is being held in a secret US jail in Iraq

An alleged Islamic State commander who is accused of planning to blow up a plane last year is being held by American forces at a secret military base in Iraq.

As the alleged ringleader of the plot, Tarek Khayat, is accused of conspiring with his three Lebanese-Australian brothers to blow up an Etihad Airways flight as it left Sydney on July 15 last year.

News Corp has investigated into the whereabouts of Khayat, whose family gave him up following their arrests in Australia.

The investigation found that the alleged ringleader has been secretly held in isolation by American military forces at an unnamed base.

Since being there, they have interrogated him in regards to his role as a commander of an Islamic State unit that plotted attacks in the west.

News Corp claim that Khayat has been intensely interrogated by the soldiers, and has since lost a leg, is suffering from lung cancer, and has given up names of foreign fighters and Islamic State members.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: this man has been tortured to the point where he will say ANYTHING in order to get the torture to stop, and these "confessions" may be used as the "justification" for a coming US/Israeli war against Lebanon as well, to insure "regime change" here also, to insure access to Lebanese oil, and that Israel will have full access to the Litani River, which is just 5 kilometers away from the "boundary-fluid" Israeli border.

Again, I would like to politely point out that when the US military tortures, or outsources torture, this makes a complete mockery of our alleged reverence for the rule of law, humanitarian treatment of prisoners, and gives countries which don't particularly like the US, carte blanche to do the same to American citizens or military personnel.

Please chew on that last bit for a while, if you think that torture is ever justified.

Also, remember the German genius of interrogation of US and British prisoners during World War II; the guy's name was Hanns Scharff,The Story of Hanns Scharff and he got the information he needed through kindness and interest, never hurting anybody. In fact, he was so revered because of his humanitarian care of the prisoners under his watch, that he was invited by the US military to teach his interrogation techniques to American interrogators.

Marine Corps F-35Bs Have Arrived Off the Coast of Africa For The Very First Time

For the first time ever, U.S. Marine Corps F-35Bs Joint Strike Fighters are on an operational deployment in the Gulf of Aden, bringing them the closest they've ever been to conflict zones in Iraq and Syria, Yemen, and Somalia. The stealthy jets and their pilots set to join thousands of other U.S. Navy sailors and Marines for a two-week training exercise while they're in the region, but there's still no indication they are headed for actual combat, at least not yet.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I love that last sentence.

Translation; these US troops are being pre-positioned for potential strikes against Yemen, Syria, and Iraq.

A great deal can happen in two weeks; unfortunately, the White House has made a declaration that US troops will be on Syrian soil "indefinitely.

U.S. targets Syria oil delivery networks with new sanctions

The U.S. Treasury Department said on Thursday it was imposing sanctions on four people and five entities it said facilitated petroleum shipments and financing to the Syrian government.

It said in a statement the sanctions targeted Muhammad al-Qatirji and his trucking company, which it said facilitated fuel trade between the Syrian government and Islamic State militants.

Qatirji has close relations with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government and has worked directly with Islamic State, which has been driven out of much of the Syrian territory it once controlled, to provide it oil products, the statement said.

Also targeted by sanctions was a fuel-procurement network that operates in Syria, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates to secure deliveries to Syria, the statement said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"...murderous Assad regime.."?!?!?

Treasury Secretary Mnuchin, a word, sir: please prove this, irrefutably, with verifiable facts.

Because otherwise, all I hear from you, when you make, or publish, such a statement, is the battle cry before the invasion of Iraq, which claimed to the American people, and the world, that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, which, of course, proved to be a baldfaced lie, to get the American people to sign on to the invasion/occupation of Iraq, to control its oil.

And we have seen just how well that has gone of late; a completely Anti-US Prime Minister has just been elected, Muktada Al Sadr, and we have Shiite militias shooting up the green zone.

On top of that, in terms of Syria, the US presence is perilously close to where Russian officials claim that there will be campaigns to rid Idlib of terrorists.

Secretary Mnuchin, can you honestly sit there with a straight face, and tell the American people that the US is really ready to go to war with Russia over Syria, when you know, or should know, that our Military doesn't have the money, the troop strength, the weaponry or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome to a war with Russia?!?

I challenge you to say that out loud, Mr. Secretary, for all the American people to hear.

After all, it won't be your kids or grandkids, killed or maimed for life, in order for the US government to control Syria's oil, right?!?

Russia Warns US That Syria Offensives Are Planned Near US Positions. US 'postured to respond' militarily to any 'challenge'

While most of the Syrian War is centered at this point around the Idlib Province, the last major rebel bastion, there is also interest in mopping up some of the smaller rebel positions along the Jordan border, especially where ISIS and al-Qaeda are concerned.

This is a raising a dangerous risk of a confrontation between the US and Russia, because Russia and Syria are very keen to chase some of the Islamists off the border in the near future, and Russia has informed them some of these Islamists are relatively close to US military positions in the area.

The US has long been fine with Islamists on the Jordan border, and is warning Russia against taking any action against them, saying the US would view it as a “challenge” and that they would not hesitate to respond militarily if there is any move into the area.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would love to see both some sanity and some clarity in the US government's position on Syria; unfortunately, what I see unfolding here, is the prelude to an all-out war between Russia, Syria, and Iranians in Syria against the US, and potentially inviting the curse of another world war.

Just because something would be the most pig-headedly, ham-fistedly stupid thing for the US Government to do, is absolutely and utterly no guarantee that it will not do it.

DRIVING OUT MILITANTS FROM IDLIB NOW TOP PRIORITY IN SYRIA – PUTIN

Driving the extremists out of Syria’s Idlib province should be the primary goal at this stage of the Syrian peace process, Russian President Vladimir Putin said following a meeting with his Turkish and Iranian counterparts.
The Russian leader once again said that Moscow has “irrefutable” evidence that terrorist groups entrenched in the militant-controlled province are seeking to stage false flag attacks using chemical weapons.

“Our common absolute priority lies in the total elimination of terrorists in Syria,” Putin said, adding that Russian forces had recently helped to liberate the southwestern part of the war-torn country and confirming that Idlib province has become the primary target now. “The presence [of militants] poses a direct threat to the … civilians in the whole region,” the president warned.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The big problem here, is that the US government won't let this happen as naturally and gracefully as it should, as President Trump has made the statement that the US military is going to be in Syria...indefinitely:

DONALD TRUMP BACKS PERMANENT U.S. MILITARY PRESENCE IN SYRIA BECAUSE HE DOESN’T TRUST RUSSIA’S INFLUENCE THERE, REPORTS CLAIMS

US Commits to Indefinite military presence in Syria

IF, in fact, these reports are true, one has to wonder just how soon the US, Russia, Syria, and Iran, will be drawn into a nasty military confrontation here in Syria; I don't know what kinds of odds Vegas bookies are putting on this happening, but my sense is soon, and most probably right before the midterms, in order to "energize President Trump's base about going to the polls and voting the Republicans back into control of the government.

Yemen’s Houthi movement said on Wednesday that its delegation was prevented from flying to Geneva to attend United Nations-sponsored peace talks, according to a report by the group’s al-Masirah TV. Jordan rejects US plan for Palestinian confederation

Jordan yesterday rejected and condemned the alleged US plan for a Palestinian-Jordanian confederation, saying it was not a matter up for discussion.

Spokeswoman for the Jordanian government, Jumana Ghneimat, said: “A confederation between Jordan and Palestine is not open for discussion. Jordan’s position is firm and clear regarding the Palestinian issue—a two-state solution and the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders,” Ynet reported.

Pentagon's Answer To Yemen Atrocities? Train More Saudi Pilots... On US Soil

New federal procurement documents unearthed and reported by TYT show that the US Air Force is planning to train Saudi pilots on US soil, which would mark the first time since the US-Saudi coalition's bombing campaign began three years ago.

The government documents show the Air Force is seeking private contractors to train Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) personnel to be “conducted in the U.S. at contractor’s facility.” The solicitation deadline is listed for Sept. 24, which suggests the program will move forward at rapid pace, but doesn't indicate when the training will begin.

According to TYT Investigates, it appears the Pentagon is trying to belatedly show it's "taking action" in response to increased international publicity and humanitarian outcry in response to recent atrocities of its Saudi partners:

Webmaster's Commentary:

How completely, thoroughly wonderful; apparently, there have not yet been enough Yemeni deaths to satiate the collective appetites for assassination of the American Merchant of Death in Chief (President Trump) and the B.O.Y. (the Butcher of Yemen, AKA Saudi Arabia's Prince Bin Salman).

What next, "body counts" by the corporate Presstitutes and Waresspondents, as we witnessed during the Vietnam War?!?

Jeremy Corbyn and the ‘Jewish Question’

"Rabbi Jonathan Sacks’s reaction [to Jeremy Corbyn], however, takes us to a new level in our understanding of the Zionist mindset. The rabbi actually accused Corbyn of implying that “Jews are not fully British”. But that was not what Corbyn said or implied. He suggested that Zionists are not exactly British, a statement that poses no problem for most Zionists since they openly and voluntarily swear allegiance to another state, one that is nationalist, racist and expansionist and shares few, if any, values with Britain or the West.

CIA AND SAUDI ARABIA CONSPIRED TO KEEP 9/11 DETAILS SECRET, NEW BOOK SAYS

It’s easier to bury uncomfortable facts than to confront them. So this September 11, the ceremonies marking the 2001 attacks on New York and Washington, D.C., will simply honor the dead. In Manhattan, tourists and mourners will gather where the World Trade Center Towers once stood, lowering their heads in memory of the 2,606 who perished there. The services won’t reflect the view that the attacks might well have been prevented.
