U.S. AND TURKEY ON COLLISION COURSE OVER KURDISH FORCES IN SYRIA

A top adviser for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Ilnur Cevik, warned on May 3 that United States troops and equipment risk being destroyed due to their proximity to Kurdish forces in Northern Syria.

Turkey claims those fighters are aligned with the Kurdish militant group the Kurdish Workers’ Party (PKK), which has been waging a guerrilla war in Turkey for years.

In a radio interview on Turkish media, Cevik was asked what would happen to U.S. forces that were working with Kurdish forces that Turkey wants to attack.

“It doesn’t matter whether they are patrolling there. If those PKK terrorists continue their activities within Turkey…you know they are infiltrating from Northern Syria (into Turkey.) That’s the region they infiltrate from,” Cevik replied.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder just how the US is planning to carve Syria up into little fiefdoms, one of which is engineered to exist as an independent Kurdistan.

Neither Erdogan nor Syria's Al Assad are going to be very happy about this, however. And Russian troops on the ground in Syria, appear to be expanding their mission to advise and assist, and we have reports of Russian troops on the ground in Northern Syria.

UAE to DRAG ICEBERG from Antarctica to solve water shortage set to last 25 years

THE United Arab Emirates (UAE) in planning to TOW icebergs from Antarctica to its coast in order to help with drinking water issues.

The scorching Middle Eastern country, and much of the transcontinental region, is in the midst of a drought with some studies suggesting a water shortage could last for the next 25 years.

The UAE, which is among the top 10 water-scarce countries in the world, hopes to help ease the stress of a drinking water shortage by towing an iceberg from the freezing Antarctica in order to create more drinking water.

The National Advisor Bureau Limited’s (NABL) managing Director Abdullah Mohammad Sulaiman Al Shehi says an average iceberg contains "more than 20 billion gallons of water” which would be enough for one million people over five years.

Russia, Iran, Turkey sign agreement on creation of Syria safe zones

Ceasefire guarantor states Russia, Iran and Turkey have adopted a memorandum on the creation of four security zones in Syria, during peace talks in the Kazakh capital of Astana.

The de-escalation zones were earlier proposed by Russia. They are aimed at separating extremist groups, including Islamic State terrorists (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) and Jabhat al-Nusra (Al-Nusra Front), from the moderate opposition.

Idlib, Latakia and Homs are included in the safe zones, as well as parts of Aleppo, according to the Turkish Foreign Ministry. Under the memorandum, any fighting between government forces and armed opposition will cease within the safe zones.

BEXALERT!: Iran fake news prepares the ground for assassination

This article is a not so subtle attempt to frame up Iran for something they didn't do in anticipation of an attack on Iran. It has the stinky smell of Israel on it!

The IRGC are the main backers of Bashar al-Assad's bloody civil war in Syria, the brutal Shi'ia militias in Iraq, the Houthi rebels in Yemen and the terrorist Hezbollah in Lebanon. There is talk in Washington that the United States may shortly designate the IRGC as an international terrorist organization. Meddling in the internal affairs of other countries and particularly exporting terrorism and fundamentalism, represents a strategic pillar for Tehran's survival and endurance.

HOW ANAND GOPAL DIRECTED PEOPLE TO JOIN ISIS - SHILLS FOR "REGIME CHANGE" IN SYRIA

Anand Gopal built his career as a writer with on the ground reporting from Afghanistan where he embedded with the Taliban. He gave some insight into their motivations.

Anand Gopal is now a shill for the U.S. "regime change" crimes in Syria. He is also attempting to justify the existence and crimes of ISIS by attributing those to a "legit" motivation. That is a convenient excuse for those who join ISIS.

People joined ISIS because of the "sheer brutality of the Assad regime" Gopal asserts. They joined ISIS in Iraq, in Libya, in Mali and Afghanistan for the "sheer brutality of the Assad regime"? They blew themselves up in Paris, London and elsewhere for the "sheer brutality of the Assad regime"? That claim is obviously not only simplistic but utter nonsense.

Veteran aid expert Egeland warns of 'Biblical' famine in Yemen

Yemen faces a "famine of Biblical proportions", veteran aid expert Jan Egeland warned on Wednesday during a visit to the war-battered nation, expressing fury over the failure of the "men with guns and power" to end the crisis.

Yemen's two years of civil war have pitted the Iran-aligned Houthi rebel group against a Saudi-backed coalition, causing economic collapse and severely restricting the food and fuel imports on which Yemen traditionally depends.

The United Nations conservatively estimates that more than 10,000 people have been killed, according to data from the health facilities that are still functioning. Experts fear the real figure is much higher.

Egeland, who heads the Norwegian Refugee Council and also advises the U.N. on Syrian humanitarian operations, told Reuters by telephone from the Yemeni capital Sanaa that although Yemen's war was smaller than Syria's, it had led to an epic disaster.

Saudi Land Push in Yemen Would Cause Heavy Casualties: DM

Offering rare comments on the invasion of Yemen in a public interview, Saudi Defense Minister and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman defended the 2015 invasion as “necessary” to restore former President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi to power.

The war is taking a lot longer than the Saudis expected, and the prince is left trying to explain that. His narrative is that the powerful Saudi military could quickly overrun the Shi’ites and win the war if they so chose, but that the number of casualties would be unacceptably high.

That’s interesting on a number of fronts, both in that the Saudis are feeling pressure to publicly explain their lack of victory, and that the Saudis have admitted that there is a conceivable death toll in the Yemen War which they’d regard as unacceptable, given the thousands slain so far and the millions facing starvation because of the naval blockade.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Prince Salman, a word, please; if your only tools are :

1. massive assassinations of innocent civilians.
2. the starvation of children through the horrific death of malnutrition, because no food is allowed in to feed them
3. the poisoning of the land and people through the use of depleted uranium weapons, leading to massive birth defects in Yemen's children

How can you then, sir, possibly be on the right side of history here?!?

the short answer here is, you're not, and the world is watching, including many dismayed Americans, like myself, and understanding that you are not.

The only people who do not understand this, sir, are the House of Saud, the Saudi government, and the US government, which has not represented We the People for decades.

And if there is such a place as hell in the afterlife, I would like to suggest that there is a very special place here for those whose decisions lead to the poisoning of unborn children in the womb with depleted uranium weapons.

And yet for you and your colleagues, the Saudi Government, the House of Saud, and the US government, you are all perfectly morally comfortable with what you done here.

Alarm Grows in Washington as Saudi Coalition Attack on Yemen Port Appears Imminent

The Saudi war in Yemen has already been a humanitarian disaster, and nowhere has that been more apparent than in the nation’s Shi’ite north, where a naval blockade and the fall of all but one Houthi-held port have dramatically limited access to food aid. And it’s about to get a lot worse.

With signs that a Saudi attack on that last port, Hodeidah, the Pentagon has made clear they’d very much like to join the Saudi invasion, seeing the conquest of that last aid port as a hugely decisive moment in the war. Congress, however, isn’t nearly so supportive.

A new open letter from a bipartisan group of Congressmen has called on Defense Secretary James Mattis to “reconsider” the push for involvement, warning that support for the war was never authorized by Congress, and that the US shouldn’t participates in the “senseless humanitarian tragedy.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This statement from Congress is not going to deter the Pentagon from pressing forward with this US-militarily enabled, Saudi war crimes and genocide in Yemen; The US government has allowed the Saudis to buy weapons and has (allegedly) provided "guidance" for their air assaults.

Fact: the Saudis have been killing and maiming Yemeni children in these bombing runs.

Images: Yemeni children assassinated and maimed for life from Saudi bombings

Fact: the Saudi blockade of Yemeni ports has resulted in children dying horrifically from the effects of malnutrition and starvation.Images: Yemeni children slowly,
horrifically dying from malnutrition, due to Saudi port blockades

Fact: the Saudi military are using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen.

Images: Saudi military using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen

Fact: the use of depleted uranium is having precisely the same effect on Yemeni babies in the womb as it did in Fallujah, Iraq, which means that in Yemen, doctors whose hospitals have not yet been bombed into rubble by the Saudis are seeing a massive spike in cancers, birth defects, and stillbirths. Warning: these images are very graphic.

Images: Yemeni children born with profound birth defects, courtesy of Saudi use of depleted uranium

Having been complicit in Saudi war crimes in Yemen for the past two years, the Pentagon will only see the assassinations of innocent civilians with their "victory" at Hodeidah as simply collateral damage, and of no consequence whatsoever.

In fact, the US government's willing participation and complicity in Saudi war crimes in Yemen very much reminds me of the statement made by the Papal legate at the siege of Montsegur against the Cathars. Upon being informed that there were women and children there, as well as men, he gave the command: "Kill them all; God will find his own."

In fact, I am rather astonished that the US military hasn't dropped MOABS over all the major civilian population centers in Yemen by now, to kill every Yemeni civilian who is still breathing, to put an end, once and for all, to the Houthi insurgency

SAUDIS HIRE CONTROVERSIAL PR FIRM TO PUSH LEGITIMACY OF 34 NATION ‘MUSLIM NATO’

With plans to step up its grotesque war in Yemen and the first major meeting of defense ministers for the 41-nation military alliance it leads fast approaching, it’s no wonder the Saudi government has called upon public relations firm Burson-Marsteller for its services.
The New York-based company, known as one of the world’s most controversial public relations firms, has now become the latest Western PR firm to land on Saudi Arabia’s payroll. They’ve been hired with the specific intent of improving the image of the so-called Islamic Military Alliance to Fight Terrorism – an alliance occasionally referred to by the nickname “Muslim NATO,” as it is modeled after the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A short memo to the House of Saud, and the Saudi government: gentlemen (because you refused to allow women to be part of your government), in the words of my late grandmother, the horse is already out of the barn on the issue of your consistent, atrocious war crimes in Yemen.

1. You are are consistently killing and maiming Yemenite children with your bombing raids:

Images:

2. Through the blockade of Yemeni ports, aided and abetted by the US military, you are causing the agonisingly slow death from malnutrition and starvation of Yemeni children.

Images:

3. Your troops are using depleted uranium in Yemen.Images: Saudi military are using DU weapons in Yemen

4. This is having precisely the same effect on Yemeni children as did the bombing of Fallujah in Iraq: massive spikes in deformities, cancers, and still births are being reported in what hospitals have not been bombed to the ground in Yemen.

Images: Yemeni children with huge birth deformities due to exposure to Saudi DU weapons (warning: very graphic)

So, in summation, to the House of Saud and the Saudi government; there is no PR company in this world that can cause the people of the world, and particularly in the Middle East, to "unsee" these images.

And until the Constitution and Bill of Rights are suspended in this Country,
I will continue to post these images (and worse) to let people know what you are really doing in Yemen, and how this slow-motion genocide against the Yemeni people is being conducted.

Al-Qaeda says fighting alongside US-, Saudi-backed militia in Yemen

The leader of al-Qaeda's branch in Yemen says his forces have often fought alongside US- and Saudi-backed militia and supporters of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi against the Yemeni army and the popular Houthi Ansarullah movement.

Qasim al-Rimi, the ringleader of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), made the remarks to the terrorist group's media arm al-Malahem from an undisclosed location in war-torn Yemen on Sunday, adding that his militants had teamed up with an array of other "factions," including Salafist groups and the "Muslim Brotherhood," who are both key militias on Hadi's side.

The AQAP is perceived as the most active branch of the al-Qaeda terrorist group and has been considered by the Pentagon as the most dangerous offshoot of the global terror network. Washington has already offered a $5 million prize for al-Rimi's capture.

At least 352 civilians killed by US-led strikes on Islamic State group

At least 352 civilians have been killed in U.S.-led strikes against Islamic State targets in Iraq and Syria since the operation began in 2014, the U.S. military said in a statement on Sunday.

The Combined Joint Task Force, in its monthly assessment of civilian casualties from the U.S. coalition’s operations against the militant group, said it was still assessing 42 reports of civilian deaths.

It added that 45 civilians were killed between November 2016 and March 2017. It reported 80 civilian deaths from August 2014 to the present that had not previously been announced. The report included 26 deaths from three separate strikes in March.

The Shame of Killing Innocent People

The U.S. Congress could put an end to US complicity in the crimes against humanity being committed by military forces in Yemen. Congress could insist that the US stop supplying the Saudi led coalition with weapons, stop helping Saudi jets to refuel, end diplomatic cover for Saudi Arabia, and stop providing the Saudis with intelligence support. And perhaps the US Congress would move in this direction if elected representatives believed that their constituents care deeply about these issues. In today’s political climate, public pressure has become vital.

Historian Howard Zinn famously said, in 1993, "There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people for a purpose which is unattainable. If the purpose is to stop terrorism, even the supporters of the bombing say it won’t work; if the purpose is to gain respect for the United States, the result is the opposite…" And if the purpose is to raise the profits of major military contractors and weapon peddlers?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Many years ago, the late comedian (and sometimes prophet) George Carlin made the observation that the US loves war, and killing brown people, because we are good at it.

Scripts from George Carlin HBO Specials.

The Saudi war against Yemen has been a case study in war crimes, with which the US government is comfortably complicit, under both President Obama's and President Trump's watch.

1. The Saudis have been murdering and maiming Yemeni children with wild abandon.Images: Yemeni children murdered and maimed by Saudi bombing raids

2. Because Saudis have closed all the ports in Yemen to food aid, Yemeni children are dying slow and horrific deaths from malnutrition:Images: Yemeni children dying from malnutrition, courtesy of Saudi port blockades

3. the Saudi military is using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen, which have caused a massive spike in cancers; still births; and massive birth defects in Yemeni children.Images: Saudis using depleted uranium weapons in YemenImages: Yemeni children with severe birth defects from exposure to depleted uranium (warning: horrifically graphic images)

So President Trump, a word, please; it seems as though, in your perspective, some suffering is more equal than others, when geopolitical capital can be gained from it, as in the alleged gassing of Syrian civilians.

And yet, you, as a father, and grandfather have absolutely nothing to say about the suffering endured by Yemeni children from the US-enabled Saudi genocide in Yemen, because US weapons manufacturers are "making a killing, literally, and figuratively here?!?

Sir, if that is, in fact, the case, it is painfully obvious to both thinking Americans, and people around the world, that you, as have most of your predecessors, have had your conscience surgically removed before taking the Oath of Office.

Trump has Major Trip to Saudi Arabia Planned, will Discuss Massive Weapons Deal for Saudis

Bowing to pressure from the H.R. McMaster, Dina Powell, Gary Cohn coalition, President Donald Trump’s first overseas trip is scheduled to be in Saudi Arabia, multiple sources confirmed after Steve Holland of Reuters first reported rumors of the trip. This decision has split Trump’s base, which views the Saudis as the largest state sponsor of Islamic terrorism.

During the visit Trump will discuss a proposed arms package for the Saudis, which would include a massive missile defense system as well as civilian nuclear technology. Behind the scenes McMaster will be seeking Saudi support for a ground war in Syria, which Mike Cernovich first reported in an article whose reporting was confirmed by Eli Lake of Bloomberg.

“Trump doesn’t want to go,” one person with knowledge of the trip said, “but Powell and Cohn are making him.”

When asked how Powell and Cohn could force President Trump do to anything, the source replied,

Webmaster's Commentary:

Well, now we know who's calling the shots on American foreign policy, and that's the "unholy trinity" of McMaster, Powell, and Cohn.

The offensive weapons will be used to finish the Saudi genocide in Yemen, which is an appalling mass of war crimes, which just gets worse by the hour.

And the defensive weapons are designed to put Saudi Arabia on defense and nuclear parity with Iran.

But getting Saudi Arabi to sign off on a ground war in Syria?!? This most probably means two things; direct military confrontation with Russia here, and most probably the return of the draft.

The reuters article about it indicates that such a meeting will most probably happen in late May, when President Trump will be Europe for meetings, or perhaps early June:

Trump is already planning to attend a NATO summit in Brussels on May 25 and travel to Sicily for a Group of Seven leaders' summit scheduled for May 26-28.

Even if the US really backs off on its aggressive posture against North Korea, we are still then looking at yet another massive military intervention in the Middle East. And frankly, I am expecting that to go just as well.... as have the US military interventions in Afghanistan; Iraq; Libya; Somalia; and Syria.

As the world ignores Yemen, war tears apart the ancient country's social fabric

More than 10,000 dead. Approximately 19 million people in desperate need of humanitarian aid, including 7.3 million on the brink of famine. The figures in Yemen’s two-year-old civil war are staggering – but they don’t convey the daily suffering of civilians.

“The numbers do not show the human aspect. Unlike Syria, where news about the devastation and death makes it to the media very quickly, Yemenis suffer in silence,” said Sherine El Taraboulsi-McCarthy, a research fellow at the Overseas Development Institute.

With the country’s airports as well as land and sea borders controlled by neighbouring Saudi Arabia, no Yemeni refugees are fleeing to Europe in their thousands. Without any perceptible impact on the West or overspill of violence, the conflict has remained largely invisible.

Webmaster's Commentary:

But you have to understand; the complete, and total genocide of the Yemeni people is precisely the outcome wanted by Saudi Arabia and the US,; hence, you don't hear any mention of it from the US corporate presstitutes.

Under President Trump's watch, the US government has become more complicit in Saudi war crimes in Yemen by the day.

The Saudis are killing and maiming Yemeni children through their bombing attacks.

Severe birth defects in Yemeni children,
from exposure to DU in the womb

To poison a child in the womb is one of the most horrific examples of child abuse I can imagine; and yet, the Royal House of Saud; the Saudi Government; the US government and US military appear to be perfectly morally comfortable with this practice, understanding, fully, what the outcome will be for these kids and their families

And to the families of US service members about to be deployed to Yemen; your loved ones face precisely the same dangers as do the Yemeni people from DU exposure, and may well come down with cancers and other horrid health issues, not to mention that their children may well have the same birth defects as do the Yemeni children who have been poisoned in utero from their parents' exposure to this chemical weapon.

U.S. SIGNALS GREATER INVOLVEMENT IN SAUDI-LED WAR IN YEMEN

Secretary of Defense James Mattis said last week that the U.S. would increase its involvement in the Saudi-led war in Yemen, a war that has claimed the lives of 4,000 civilians in two years and drawn international criticism for war crimes committed by the Saudis.

As the Trump administration’s foreign policy continues to push the U.S. closer to a new war, Secretary of Defense James Mattis announced last week that the U.S. is set to increase support for Saudi Arabia’s war in Yemen, a war that has drawn international condemnation for the Saudis’ frequent bombings of civilian infrastructure like schools and hospitals.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sec-Def Mattis, a word, please.

The level of Iranian assistance to the Houthi rebels has been a very hard bit to pin down.

And if you really want to identify the most destabilising culprit in the Middle East, who is the trouble maker par excellence, you have to look no further than the country of Israel, which was cheerleading for the war against Iraq, and is currently campaigning to ratchet up the war against Al-Assad in Syria, and to regime change Iran (and for Tel Aviv, these actions always should be purchased with American blood and money; never their own.)

In the meanwhile, there is a question I must ask you, even if others fear asking it: how morally comfortable are you, please, in the US government's being complicit in Saudi war crimes in Yemen?!?

The Saudis are killing and maiming innocent children with their bombing runs.
The US military is providing "guidance" for these strikes.

And yet, apparently, the Royal House of Saud; the Saudi government; and the US government, and you, sir, are perfectly comfortable with poisoning Yemeni children in the womb, and destroying not only their lives, but their families' lives as well. If there is a more cruel form of child abuse, I cannot imagine what that is.

I am profoundly reminded, in this obscenely callous disregard for human life as reflected in these Saudi military tactics, of the comment made by the Papal Legate at the siege of Montsegur against the Cathars, when he was informed that not only men were in the besieged castle, but women and children were also with them. He said, "Kill them all; God will find his own."

I just have to wonder when the massive air strikes, coupled with US boots on the ground, will accomplish this Saudi genocide in Yemen. And my sense of it is, relatively soon.

And by the way, Sec-Def Mattis: are you going to be informing our military who will comprise the "boots on the ground" element of the US military's plan to obliterate the Yemeni people in full, that if they are deployed to Yemen, they and their families also risk exposure to DU, and that their kids may well be born with precisely the same birth defects we are seeing in Yemeni children, and we did with the Iraqi children of Fallujah?!?

Thought not.

Theodore Postol, a professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), released a three-report series in response to the White House’s claim that Syrian President Bashar Al Assad attacked his own people with sarin gas, in which he concluded that the attack in Syria was staged.

Geopolitical Hotspots, Global Economy, US War Plans: South China Sea, Yemen and Beyond

Americans may have been led to believe through their education systems, their religious institutions, mainstream media and popular culture that their government’s foreign policy is guided by the dictates of conscience, humanitarian considerations, and empathy for chemically mauled infants as well as a national vocation to bring “freedom and democracy” to the world.

A more honest and rigorous review of America’s involvement in military conflicts, and its support for Israel, Saudi Arabia and other rogue states around the world reveal the shallowness of this understanding.

The structure of power in the U.S. as with other imperialist powers throughout history demands certain economic arrangements and military formations on the world stage.

US Defense Secretary Targets Syria with Chemical Weapons Allegations

Speaking on a visit to Israel on Friday, US Defense Secretary James “Mad Dog” Mattis charged that the Syrian government has violated an agreement brokered by Moscow in 2013 by holding onto chemical weapons.

“The bottom line is there can be no doubt in the international community’s mind that Syria has retained chemical weapons in violation of its agreement and its statement that it had removed them all,” Mattis said during a press conference standing alongside his Israeli counterpart, the extreme right-wing Zionist Avigdor Lieberman.

Mattis refused to provide any estimate of what quantity of chemical weapons he believes are in Syrian hands, claiming that it would compromise intelligence sources. He charged, however, that Damascus was in violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions and warned that it would be “ill-advised to use any again. We’ve made that very clear with our first strike.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

All the various wars are back, and with a vengeance; and the American Deep State believes that they need to go very quickly into Syria; North Korea; Iran; Somalia; and parts of Iraq, and regime change them all, before Americans start thinking, rejecting the codswallop they are being force-fed by both the US government, and its corporate presstitutes to further its agenda, and start protesting in the numbers which stopped the Vietnam War.

Because that is what it will take to end this war agenda, if it is humanly possible to do so at this point.

IF Americans cannot and do not act against these wars, in the most peaceful, and logical way possible, humanity is facing a global catastrophe of Biblical proportions.

Netanyahu Meets Mattis, Lauds 'Change in U.S. Leadership, Policy' in Mideast

Meeting took place after U.S. defense chief Mattis sat down with Israeli counterpart in Tel Aviv, said Iran continues to threaten Israel with ballistic missiles.

U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met in Jerusalem on Friday.

Prior to the meeting Netanyahu said that he sees a "great change" in the direction of U.S. policy in the Middle East, lauding Mattis and President Donald Trump's recent statements on Iran as well as U.S. action against Syria's use of chemical weapons. "It's appreciated around the world and in our region," Netanyahu said, according to a press release.

"I think this is a welcome change, a strategic change in U.S. leadership and policy," the prime minister said, according to the press release.
Netanyahu also said that Israel and the U.S. both face the "double threat" of "radical Islam," referring to Iran and ISIS.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I've just done a double-palmed faceplant, at warp speed, upon reading this.

IF Tehran has ballistic missiles pointed at Israel, don't tell me for one second that Israel doesn't have ballistic missiles pointed at Iran!!

And to conflate the Wahhabi-flavored radicalised Islam of ISIS with the moderate Shia Islam of Iran?!?

Does Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu begin to comprehend how completely idiotic this comparison sounds, for anyone with two brain cells to rub together?!?

And as I mentioned in a previous post yesterday, from the Israeli government's perspective, it is the US government which must, with its blood and money, achieve Israel's regional geopolitical objectives, and that includes "neutralising" Iran for it.

But between Iran's robust self-defense posture and capabilities, and the reality that if attacked militarily, Russia will come to its aid, this Israeli demand to the US may be too great a chasm to cross, at least for the moment.

Trump admin. wants to resume munitions sale to Saudis: Officials

The Donald Trump administration considers resuming sales of precision-guided munitions to Saudi Arabia as part of additional military and intelligence assistance to the kingdom’s bloody intervention in Yemen.

Officials said Washington, in return, wants new commitments from Riyadh to minimize civilian casualties in Yemen.

"We want the Saudis to show that they are committed to use these things properly," a US official told Reuters on condition of anonymity.

A second official, however, suggested that the request for additional safeguards was just a formality. "This is an unconditional sale. There are no conditions attached. The decision has been made to let the sale go through."

Webmaster's Commentary:

The hypocrisy in DC just sickens me, and the degree to which the Trump administration is just happily on board to being complicit to Saudi war crimes in Yemen, does not bode well for peace in the Middle East at all.

These Saudi strikes have murdered women and children.

Images: dead and wounded Yemeni children from Saudi airstrikes

The Saudis have blockaded Yemeni ports, which means no food aid can get in, and children are literally dying from malnutrition:

And the Saudis are using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen, leading to a massive spike in cancers, birth defects, and still births.

Severe birth defects in Yemen, due to Saudi troops using depleted uranium weapons

I will tell you right now, poisoning a child in the womb with depleted uranium weapons, is one of the most hideously cruel and insanely barbaric examples of outright, despicable child abuse I can imagine; and yet, obviously, the House of Saud; the Saudi Military, and the US military are perfectly comfortable doing this in Yemen.

The United States government has become "the world's most dangerous terrorist organization," warns former Reagan official

"The United States [military policy] has destroyed seven countries," he says. "The populations there are subject to ongoing continual violence either from the U.S. or these Jihadists or from the Islamic State.

US Intelligence Officer: “Every Single Terrorist Attack In US Was A False Flag Attack”

The latest whistleblower is David Steele, a 20-year Marine Corps intelligence officer, and the second-highest-ranking civilian in the U.S. Marine Corps Intelligence. He is a former CIA clandestine services case officer, and this is what he had to say:

“Most terrorists are false flag terrorists, or are created by our own security services. In the United States, every single terrorist incident we have had has been a false flag, or has been an informant pushed on by the FBI. In fact, we now have citizens taking out restraining orders against FBI informants that are trying to incite terrorism. We’ve become a lunatic asylum.”

How this FBI strategy is actually creating US-based terrorists

0:12
The FBI is responsible for more terrorism plots in the United States than any other organization. More than al Qaeda, more than al Shabaab, more than the Islamic State, more than all of them combined.

0:26
This isn't likely how you think about the FBI. You probably think of FBI agents gunning down bad guys like John Dillinger, or arresting corrupt politicians.

0:36
After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the FBI became less concerned with gangsters and crooked elected officials. The new target became terrorists, and the pursuit of terrorists has consumed the FBI.

0:47
Every year, the Bureau spends 3.3 billion dollars on domestic counterterrorism activities. Compare than to just 2.6 billion dollars combined for organized crime, financial fraud, public corruption and all other types of traditional criminal activity.

Secret Pentagon Report Reveals US "Created" ISIS As A "Tool" To Overthrow Syria's President Assad

From the first sudden, and quite dramatic, appearance of the fanatical Islamic group known as ISIS which was largely unheard of until a year ago, on the world's stage and which promptly replaced the worn out and tired al Qaeda as the world's terrorist bogeyman, we suggested that the "straight to beheading YouTube clip" purpose behind the Saudi Arabia-funded Islamic State was a simple one: use the Jihadists as the vehicle of choice to achieve a political goal: depose of Syria's president Assad, who for years has stood in the way of a critical Qatari natural gas pipeline, one which could dethrone Russia as Europe's dominant - and belligerent - source of energy, reaching an interim climax with the unsuccessful Mediterranean Sea military build up of 2013, which nearly resulted in quasi-world war.

The narrative and the plotline were so transparent, even Russia saw right through them. Recall from September of last year:

How The US Government Created the Three Worst Terror Groups in the World

1. Islamic Extremism
Chaos-inducing regime change, perpetual warfare, and economic assault have transformed much of the region into a battleground. The only people who still deny the involvement of the US government in breeding Islamic extremism are neocons, politicians, and Lockheed Martin executives.

2. Prohibition Cartels
It is prohibition that brought them into existence, especially legislation against marijuana and other drugs in America. The terror groups I’m referring to are the Mexican drug cartels: or as I like to call them, “prohibition cartels.”

3. The US Government
Surprised? Well you shouldn’t be. The most notable organization to bear responsibility for substantial worldwide suffering and misery over the last century is the United States government.

America Created Al-Qaeda and the ISIS Terror Group

Among Global Research’s most popular articles in 2016.

Incisive article originally published by GR in September 2014. Terror attacks or mass shootings allegedly perpetrated by the ISIS, the question that should be asked: who are the State sponsors of Al Qaeda and the ISIS? (M.Ch. GR Editor).

Much like Al Qaeda, the Islamic State (ISIS) is made-in-the-USA, an instrument of terror designed to divide and conquer the oil-rich Middle East and to counter Iran’s growing influence in the region.

The fact that the United States has a long and torrid history of backing terrorist groups will surprise only those who watch the news and ignore history.

The CIA first aligned itself with extremist Islam during the Cold War era.

The words of Dehghan come in the wake of statements, previously made by Mattis, shortly before his arrival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. Pentagon and Aid Workers Clash Over Planned Assault in Yemen

It looks like Trump is going to invade Yemen with US troops and murder more women and children and starve the rest to death.

Pentagon officials have been making clear for weeks that they are eager to directly join Saudi Arabia’s war in Yemen, and have excitedly laid out plans for deeper involvement in the conflict to the rest of the administration, centering on joining the invasion of Hodeidah, a Red Sea port which is where most humanitarian aid enters the country.

Hodeidah’s vitalness to the already shaky aid supply to northern Yemen isn’t sitting well with aid workers, or even with State Department and USAID officials, who were quick to note that cutting off Hodeidah to the northern Yemenis would lead directly to a full-blown famine.

Evidence suggests the Iranians took control of (hacked) a Patriot Missile Battery, and used it to shoot down a Black Hawk helicopter, killing 12 Saudi officers, in Yemen.

Trump Has Killed Beautiful Babies in Four Countries

US president Donald Trump sounded sincere when he described how he felt after seeing pictures of "beautiful little babies" allegedly killed by a Syrian government chemical weapons attack on April 4.

“These heinous actions by the Assad regime cannot be tolerated," said Trump, and hours later, the US launched nearly 60 tomahawk missiles in response to the allegations.

But what about the beautiful little babies killed by US bombs since Trump became president? Is Trump not concerned about those children because they were killed by his missiles, and not Assad’s chemical weapons?

In the first three months of his presidency, Trump has dropped bombs – and killed children – in Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am rather struck by the utter cynicism and hypocrisy of the Trump Administration, which seems to collectively believe that the assassinations and deaths of some children are "...more equal than others" - particularly if those deaths can be used as "justification/propaganda" for supporting US military action against specific countries, like Syria, which did not use poison gas against its own people.

McMaster ‘Doubts’ US Will Send More Troops to Syria

In comments today on ABC’s “This Week,” National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster downplayed the chances of the US sending more ground troops to Syria, saying that it still “remains to be seen” if more troops are needed, but that he doubts the US will have to send any more.

President Trump had appeared to rule out such deployments last week, insisting “we’re not going into Syria,” though of course US forces are already in Syria, and there are proposals still coming in calling for additional US troops to be deployed.

The indications had been that McMaster was leading the push for more troops, however, and had even argued in favor of a deployment of some 50,000 US ground troops to fight in Syria. That McMaster is the one downplaying more troops now may suggest he’s been overruled.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This at least temporarily ratchets down the possibility of direct US/Russian military confrontation in Syria; but for how long, if regime change continues not to be accomplished in Damascus, which is the end goal of US foreign policy here?!?

And so far, the arming of both the Kurdish YPG, and various anti-government rebels hasn't worked at all; in fact, these appear to be historically failed US policies.

How to bring down the elephant in the room

The reason why I decided to tackle this issue today is that the forces who broke Trump in less than a month are also the very same forces who have forced him into a political 180: the Neocons and the US deep state. However, I think that these two concepts can be fused into on I would call the “Ziocons”: basically Zionists plus some rabid Anglo imperialists à la Cheney or McCain. These are the folks who control the US corporate media, Hollywood, Congress, most of academia, etc. These are the folks who organized a ferocious assault on the “nationalist” or “patriotic” wing of Trump supporters and ousted Flynn and Bannon and these are the folks who basically staged a color revolution against Trump. There is some pretty good evidence that the person in charge of this quiet coup is Jared Kushner, a rabid Zionist. Maybe. Maybe not.

Tillerson In Moscow: Is World War III Back On Track?

If anyone is worried whether the prospect of a major war, which many of us considered almost inevitable if Hillary Clinton had attained the White House, is back on track, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s visit to Moscow was cold comfort. From his remarks together with his counterpart Sergey Lavrov, there is now little reason to expect any improvement in US-Russia ties anytime soon, if ever, and much reason to expect them to get worse – a lot worse.

There has been a great deal of speculation as to why President Donald Trump, who promised a break with the warmongering policies Hillary would have implemented, and which characterized the administrations of Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, would have bombed Syria’s Shayrat airbase in retaliation for a supposed chemical weapons (CW) strike without evidence or authorization from either Congress or the UN Security Council.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In looking, analytically, at the results of last year's election, it has become crystal clear precisely what, rather than who, won that election, and the victor was ...the American Deep State, whose motives, objectives, and plans do not change, regardless of who "chairs" the oval office.

Those agendas include wars with Russia and China, to destabilize the ruble and the yuan, and to protect the financial empires of both the international elite, and the American elite.

Looking at the tensions building up with Syria and Russia, I would not be surprised to see a reinstitution of the draft in this country, and sooner rather than later; but this one will be coming not only for America's sons, but for America's daughters as well.

President Trump has, since his inauguration, proven himself to be totally impotent against the American Deep State, and has done so many flip-flops on domestic and international policies to please his new masters, that it nearly gave me whiplash in watching these position reversals.

What we will see with this man's administration, will be more wars; more state surveillance at every level; more Americans dying and getting maimed for life, for the pursuit of these wars, which are always economic in nature; and more income inequality.

Syria: Watching the Jordanian Border. America’s Military Buildup

While focus regarding the Syrian conflict has shifted almost exclusively to recent US cruise missile strikes, what the strikes are designed to lay the groundwork for holds much larger implications. Particular attention should be focused on US forces operating both within Syrian territory and along Syria’s borders.

Normalizing the use of stand-off weapons like cruise missiles makes it easier and more likely that similar attacks will unfold in the near future – particularly if Syria and its allies fail to demonstrate a significant deterrence against future attacks.

The use of stand-off weapons by the United States and the routine use of airstrikes by US allies including Israel within Syrian territory will likely open the door to wider and more direct military intervention against the Syrian government.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And what happens when US forces get into direct conflict with Russian forces on the ground in Syria?!?

Because I will tell you, that is very apt to happen here, and such a possibility concerns me greatly!!

TRUMP’S DEEPENING EMBRACE OF BAHRAIN’S REPRESSIVE MONARCHY MAY LEAD TO MORE INSTABILITY

But while the regime portrays itself to the United States as a bulwark of regional stability, the grim ferocity of its crackdown might make escalated conflict within Bahrain inevitable — and potentially even draw in outside powers like Iran. As the window for political reform closes under the Trump administration, an increasingly violent, unstable future may await Bahrain and the Gulf region as a whole.

“One way that the Trump administration is seeking to differentiate itself from its predecessor is by lowering any public criticism of human rights violations and repression in the Gulf States,” says Cole Bockenfeld, Deputy Director for Policy at the Project on Middle East Democracy. “Obama identified arms sales as a point of U.S. leverage in the Gulf and attempted to use them to exert some controls over human rights violations, whereas Trump is clearly de-linking human rights conditions from future sales.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The late President Kennedy said it best: "When peaceful revolution is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable."

Yes, I know that Bahrain is home to the US Navy's 5th Fleet; but while peaceful demonstrations have been utterly tamped down for the moment, it is only a matter of time before they will become more violent, under this repressive regime.

Not only have peaceful demonstrators been arrested, tortured to create "confessions", convicted by kangaroo courts, and stuffed into jail cells for eons; the first responders who treated them were also arrested, tortured to "create confessions", convicted by kangaroo courts, and sentenced to huge jail terms as well.

One must conclude that the head of the Al Khalifa Monarchy is a man President Trump greatly admires for his ability to sustain "order", at all costs, no matter the brutality used with which he accomplishes this.

Trump May Send Up To 50,000 Troops To Syria

It appears that Mike Cernovich, who earlier this week wrote that Trump's national security advisor, Gen. H.R.McMaster, was planning on sending as many as 150,000 troops to Syria, may have been right again. According to Bloomberg commentator Eli Lake, who has now made a habit of confirming Cernovich "conspiracy theories" (he did so previously with the Susan Rice scoop), Trump may be on the verge of escalating the proxy war in Syria by sending anywhere between 10,000 and 50,000 troops on the ground, and - if Cernovich is indeed correct - as much as three times more.

TRUMP HAS A NEW RED LINE IN SYRIA

Trump administration officials have been making stunning admissions in the days following the recent military strike on the Syrian government.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer experienced a Freudian slip when he accidentally said America’s goal in the region was to “destabilize Syria” — before he realized what he had said and attempted to backtrack. Then, he accidentally said it again. And just one day before Secretary of State Rex Tillerson left for Moscow, he told reporters the U.S. would come to the defense of innocent civilians “anywhere in the world.” Spicer elaborated on Tillerson’s sentiments.

“When you watch babies and children being gassed and suffer under barrel bombs, you are instantaneously moved to action,” the press secretary said. “I think this president’s made it very clear that if those actions were to continue, further action will definitely be considered by the United States.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sean Spicer and President Trump, a word here.

Apparently for you both, some suffering of children is "more equal" than others, because it can be used toward a specific geopolitical end.

So let's talk about about the US government-enabled Saudi assassinations of Yemeni children, shall we, as uncomfortable for you both as that may be, as this is the horror inflicted on children you don't want the world to see.

The Saudi military is routinely killing and maiming Yemeni children.

Images: dead and maimed Yemeni children from Saudi air strikes

The Saudis have blockaded Yemeni ports, to prevent food from getting in, so Yemeni children are dying the slow, painful death of malnutrition.

Images: Yemeni children dying of malnutrition, due to Saudi port blockades

And lastly, there has been an enormous spike in cancers, still births, and birth defects in Yemen, courtesy of the Saudis using depleted uranium weapons, which they got from either the US or the UK.

Images: Saudi military using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen

Images: Yemeni children with severe birth defects (warning:severely graphic)

So gentlemen, I have shown you, and the rest of our readership, the images the US government and military DO NOT WANT then American people to see; those images include the killing and maiming of Yemeni children from Saudi bombing runs; the face of slow starvation through malnutrition, caused by Saudi port blockades; images of the Saudis using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen; and the effects of depleted uranium on Yemeni children, suffering severe birth defects because of their having been poisoned in the womb by depleted uranium.

So please collectively forgive me if your "for the children" pitch rings more than hollow in Syria, as your "excuse" to bomb the military installation there.

It was simply geopolitically expedient to exploit the images of dead Syrian children you wanted the world to see, rather than the images of dead and dying Yemeni children you do not want the world to see.

Ann Coulter: Lassie Come Home

War is like crack for presidents. It confers instant gravitas, catapulting them to respectability, bypassing all station stops. They get to make macho pronouncements on a topic where every utterance is seen as august.

On the other hand, Trump’s Syrian misadventure is immoral, violates every promise he ran on and could sink his presidency.

Left to his own devices, uncontaminated by Washington group-think, Trump gets it right.

Back in 2013, when President Obama was being egged on to attack Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in response to an alleged chemical weapons attack far more sweeping than this latest one, Trump tweeted:

— Aug. 29, 2013:

“What will we get for bombing Syria besides more debt and a possible long term conflict? Obama needs Congressional approval.”

— Aug. 31, 2013:

“Be prepared, there is a small chance that our horrendous leadership could unknowingly lead us into World War III.”

Iraq or Syria? Trump recalls dessert perfectly, forgets who he bombed & internet erupts (VIDEO)

Trump remembers the beautiful piece of chocolate cake he was eating, but forgets what country he was attacking!

Trump was speaking with Fox Business about the bizarre exchange with Chinese leader during a summit at his Mar-a-Lago estate.

“We had finished dinner, we’re now having dessert,” Trump began. “And we had the most beautiful piece of chocolate cake that you’ve ever seen and President Xi was enjoying it.”

“So I said, we’ve just launched 59 missiles, heading to Iraq,” said the President, seemingly oblivious to his mistake.

Army Command: Hundreds, including many civilians, killed in in coalition airstrike on ISIS toxic materials depot

13 April 13 2017

Damascus, SANA- The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces said on Thursday that hundreds were killed, including a large number of civilians, due to an air strike carried out by aircrafts of the so-called US-led international coalition against a huge depot for ISIS terrorist organization that includes toxic materials in the village of Hatla in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor province.

In a statement on Thursday, the General Command said aircrafts of the international coalition carried out between 17:30 and 17:50 pm on Wednesday an air strike against a position of ISIS terrorists that includes a large number of foreign mercenaries in the village of Hatla to the east of Deir Ezzor, causing a white cloud that soon turned into yellow as a result of the explosion of a huge depot that includes a large amount of toxic materials.

Syria says U.S.-led airstrikes hit IS-controlled chemical weapons depot in eastern Syria

Hundreds of civilians dead.Hypocrites and liars the US leadership are.

DAMASCUS, April 13 (Xinhua) -- The Syrian army on Thursday said the U.S.-led anti-terror coalition struck a chemical weapons depot controlled by the Islamic State (IS) group in eastern Syria, killing hundreds, including civilians.

The U.S.-led airstrikes targeted the big depot containing chemical materials in the town of Hatleh in the eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour on Wednesday, said the army in a statement.

It added that large numbers of civilians were among those killed due to the suffocation caused by the spread of the toxic materials.

Israeli father arrested and imprisoned after judge makes false claim against him

Israel is relentlessly persecuting human rights activists. The latest case is that of a father thrown into prison after a judge falsely accused him of terrorising her outside her home. No investigations were made, no alibis checked, and video evidence relating to the event was ignored.
This year has seen human rights deteriorate rapidly in Israel. Those who speak up against corruption have been especially targeted. Waves of arrests have taken place, particularly of leading activists.
People engaged in the fight against judicial corruption, law enforcement and the welfare practices in family matters have been among those bearing the brunt of the persecution. At least 10 activists have been rounded up, three of whom remain in prison after 50 days on charges of offending public officials...>>

Katy Perry videos. Another round of yelling. All sorts of stuff. But until now, they haven't tried one thing to try and get rid of him. That is Black magic! In a desperate attempt to destroy Trump, the mainstream media began advertising the 'Bind Trump' movement mere days before the incredible 180 we saw take place in the Trump Administration with the resulting military strike against Syria. Here we take a closer look at the #magicalresistance movement, and the recent false flag inside Syria.

Syria air strikes: Russia sends more warships to Assad-controlled port of Tartus

In the wake of the US air strike on a Syrian airbase last week Moscow is sending more ships to Syrian regime controlled waters, a US defence official has said.

Two Steregushchiy-class corvettes, an ocean tug and a fleet oiler left Kaliningrad over the weekend, the unnamed official confirmed to USNI News on Monday.

The Baltic Navy vessels are expected to arrive in the eastern Mediterranean in the next five days and will probably be based in Tartus, which is home to a Russian naval base.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That means that these ships will arrive in Syrian waters by Monday of next week.

But looking at what the US military did in Syria last week, how can one complain at Russia's beefing up Syria's defenses in this way?!?

I am looking at the news conference, in Moscow, between Russia's Sergei Lavrov and Rex Tillerson, and the body language tells me that absolutely nothing has been resolved here.

Why U.S. Troops May Fight Alongside al-Qaeda in Yemen

AQAP’s fighters will play a role in the coming battle for the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah. The port, which is controlled by the Houthis, is the lifeline for northwest Yemen. Yemen imports in excess of 90 percent of its food. Before the war, as much as 70 percent of Yemen’s imports passed through Hodeidah. Recognizing this, Saudi Arabia bombed the port and destroyed its cranes. Despite the bombing of the port and Saudi Arabia’s naval blockade, desperately needed humanitarian supplies and food continue to trickle in through the port.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The fact that President Trump appears to be doubling down, through US complicity, with Saudi war crimes does not make me at all happy right now.

Also, the US military has "liberated" two Yemeni Islands,Socotra and Masirah, on which they are building two huge naval facilities from which the US can project power into the Persian gulf. As reported by debka.com, then copied by abundandhope.net in 2012:

Sources estimate from the current pace of arrivals on the two island bases, that 50,000 US troops will have accumulated on Socotra and Masirah by mid-February. They will top up the 50,000 military already present in the Persian Gulf region, so that in less than a month, Washington will have some 100,000 military personnel on the spot and available for any contingency. While quietly casting lines to draw Tehran into talks on their nuclear dispute, President Barack Obama is reported exclusively by DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s military and Washington sources to have secretly ordered US air, naval and marine forces to build up heavy concentrations on two strategic islands – Socotra, which is part of a Yemeni archipelago in the Indian Ocean, and the Omani island of Masirah at the southern exit of the Strait of Hormuz. Socotra is situated 80 kilometers east of the Horn of Africa and 380 kilometers southeast of the Yemeni coastline. It lies athwart the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. A military base there is in a position to oversee the shipping moving in and out of those strategic naval waterways. Lushly verdant, Socotra is approximately 120 kilometers long by 40 kilometers wide. Its population of 55,000 has its own distinct language and culture. Since 2010, the US has been quietly building giant air force and naval bases on Socotra with facilities for submarines, intelligence command centers and take-off pads for flying stealth drones, as part of a linked chain of strategic US military facilities in the Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf. The Socotra facilities are so secret that they are never mentioned in any catalogue listing US military facilities in this part of the world, which include Jebel Ali and Al Dahfra in the United Arab Emirates; Arifjan in Kuwait; and Al Udeid in Qatar – all within short flying distances from Iran. Additional US forces are also being poured into Camp Justice on the barren, 70-kilometer long Omani island of Masirah, just south of the Hormuz entry point to the Gulf of Oman from the Arabian Sea. US military facilities were established there after the signing of an access agreement with Oman in 1980. Up to 100,000 US troops present by early March For the new buildup on Socotra, Washington had to negotiate a new deal with Yemen's ousted ruler Ali Abdullah Saleh. Injured in an assassination attempt last year, Saleh demanded permission to travel to the United States for medical treatment. The Obama administration first refused, then relented when Saleh made it his condition for consenting to additional troops landing on the island. Western military sources familiar with the American buildup on the two strategic islands tell DEBKA-Net-Weekly that, although they cannot cite precise figures, they are witnessing the heaviest American concentration of might in the region since the US invaded Iraq in 2003. Then, 100,000 American troops were massed in Kuwait ahead of the invasion. Today, those sources estimate from the current pace of arrivals on the two island bases, that 50,000 US troops will have accumulated on Socotra and Masirah by mid-February. They will top up the 50,000 military already present in the Persian Gulf region, so that in less than a month, Washington will have some 100,000 military personnel on the spot and available for any contingency. US air transports are described as making almost daily landings on Socotra and Masirah. They fly in from the US naval base of Diego Garcia, one of America's biggest military facilities, just over 3,000 kilometers away. The US military presence in the region will further expand in the first week of March when three US aircraft carriers and their strike groups plus a French carrier arrive in the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea: They are the USS Abraham Lincoln, USS Carl Vinson, USS Enterprise and the Charles de Gaulle nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. A fourth US carrier will be standing by in the Pacific Ocean, a few days' sailing time from the water off Iran's coast.

That construction was started 5 years ago; I am quite sure it is completed by now, and quite operational.

Americans Need To Know Trump’s Endgame For Syria, Duckworth Tells Constituents

Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) challenged President Donald Trump to state his administration’s “endgame” for military involvement in Syria following the U.S. military’s missile strike on a Syrian air field last week.

Speaking to a full house of constituents at a town hall in the Chicago suburb of Palatine on Tuesday night, Duckworth was asked what was accomplished with the first direct assault on the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad and what the long-term strategy would be.

Duckworth said that she wants to know, too ? and that Trump needs to provide those answers quickly.

“The Trump administration needs to come forward and [state] its goal. Come forward and tell us the truth,” Duckworth responded.

Following the town hall, constituents like Lisa Goranson, 58, and Sue Walton, 80, were troubled by Trump’s sudden shift on involvement in Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I whole-heartedly agree with Senator Duckworth on this issue.

What we have seen, coming from the White House on this issue, appears to have been complete and utter confusion, consummated by the illegal strike against a Syrian military base last week, against a sovereign country with which the US government is not (allegedly) at war.

President Trump's policies in Syria appear about as clear as mud right now.

I would like President Trump to tell me how, if in fact, regime change in Damascus is his goal, he is going to accomplish this without using either US boots on the ground, or a decap strike against al Assad, which most probably would mean war with Russia.

There are only two things I know for certain here; Al-Assad is not going to leave his position as the country's President willingly, and should the US go ahead with some kind of assassination strike, Russia will respond militarily.

DECLASSIFIED CIA DOC REVEALS PLAN TO DESTROY SYRIA FOR OIL PIPELINE, PREDICTS CURRENT CRISIS

Geostrategically-crucial Syria has been at the center of a decades-long plot by the United States to depose the sovereign government and install one supportive of goals in the Middle East must be revisited — and quickly — before the beating of war drums drowns out the truth of our government’s recently-espoused mission.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly castigated President Bashar al-Assad for ordering a gruesome mass killing of civilians with chemical weapons in Khan Sheikhoun. This accusation, unsubstantiated due to lack of investigation, sparked a bolstering of support for the Syrian regime from both Moscow and Tehran.

Were the account of an ordered chemical weapons attack to prove unassailably true — and Assad isn’t exactly known for being a gentle despot — Trump could have handily earned a congressional green light and perhaps approval from NATO to obliterate Syrian Arab Army forces responsible. Perhaps.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive my cynicism, but it appears that, for this President, some dead children (those killed by the gassing in Syria, the bodies of whom could be used for propaganda purposes) are "more equal" than other dead children ( those killed and maimed in Yemen from US-enabled Saudi bombing runs; those dying of malnutrition in Yemen, due to the US-enabled Saudi port blockade) and those dying of exposure to depleted uranium in the womb, used by Saudi Arabian troops, and being born with massive birth defects.

That the US government is massively complicit in Saudi war crimes in Yemen, while President Trump screams about gassed children in Syria, makes the hypocrisy ring all the more hollow, to the ears of thinking people all over this planet.

FLASHBACK - Israeli 1982 Plan for Mideast Empire Aided by ISIS

Recently, the German-language website “National Journal” illustrated the surprising, key role the Islamic State (IS), also known as ISIS, plays in the success of this Zionist quest for regional domination—although ostensibly Israel’s enemy.

The Yinon Plan stated that Iraq was then the greatest obstacle to an Israeli Middle Eastern empire and control of the area’s wealth of natural resources. The first stage was to weaken both Iran—an Israeli ally under the shah—and Iraq through war against each other. After this, the American invasion in 2003 was to lead to the division of Iraq into three smaller, ethno-religious states operated by Sunni and Shiite Muslims in the middle and south, and a new Kurdistan in the north.

ISIS is the means by which Israel and the United States—which established, trained and supplied the terrorist organization—have nearly succeeded in the tripartition.

THE SILVER LINING OF TRUMP’S OWNERSHIP OF REGIME CHANGE POLICY IN SYRIA

On a positive note, it has been a good development that the Trump administration has owned the “regime change” policy of the Obama administration in Syria by launching cruise missiles strike against the Syrian air force in al-Shayrat air base. Because over the decades, it has been a convenient stratagem of the Western powers with two-party political systems, particularly the US, to evade responsibility for the death and destruction brought on the hapless Middle Eastern countries by their predecessors after the elections.

A Multi-Level Analysis of the US Cruise Missile Attack on Syria and Its Consequences

The latest US cruise missile attack on the Syrian airbase is an extremely important event in so many ways that it is important to examine it in some detail. I will try to do this today with the hope to be able to shed some light on a rather bizarre attack which will nevertheless have profound consequences. But first, let’s begin by looking at what actually happened.

However, since the Russians were warned about the attack they had plenty of time to prepare their electronic warfare stations to “fry” and otherwise disable at least part of the cruise missiles. I do believe that this is the correct explanation.

The real Donald Trump has been exposed. The man who promised a sensible and non-interventionist Middle Eastern policy and a reset with Moscow has now reneged on both pledges. His nitwit United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley has directly linked Russia and Syria for punishment by the omnipotent Leader of the Free World lest anyone be confused.

The unconscionable attack on Syria based on the usual unsubstantiated allegations has shifted the playing field dramatically, with the “new sheriff in town” apparently intent on proving he is a real man who can play hardball with the rest of them. Last week Syria was blamed by all and sundry in the Establishment for an alleged chemical weapons attack just two days after the White House backed away from the Obama Administration demand that President Bashar al-Assad be removed.

Chemical Weapons Explosion In Syria: Another False Flag Attack By The Usual Perps (Video)

Motive, motive, motive…or in this case, a lack of it. Fact is that Assad, well on the way to winning the civil war, had zero motives to use chemical weapons. And as we see now, the attack is being used not just to justify increased military action in Syria, but to vilify Russia as well. Neocon warmonger John McCain has even gone as far as accusing Russia of targeting hospitals in Aleppo, which is a war crime.

In the following video, Right Wing News looks at the real benefactors of the resulting increased military actions in Syria and the rhetoric against Russia. Trump had made it clear that he intended to improve our relationship with the Russians; a wise move considering their status as a world superpower. But this is of course contrary to the agenda of the Deep State; is it possible that this chemical attack is a false flag that is ultimately not about Syria, but Russia?

Following the incident, Moscow suspended the memorandum of understanding on flight safety in Syria with the United States, suspended work of a hotline with the Pentagon and announced that it will take additional measures to strengthen the Syrian air defense capabilities in case of possible attacks against the country.

There's a terrifying sense of deja vu as the Generals take over the White House and guide us towards another war (despite no-one knowing if it was Assad who used sarin on those civilians) says JOHN R BRADLEY

For those of us who covered the build-up to the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, there is a terrifying sense of deja vu as another 'Coalition of the Willing' gears up to launch a potentially devastating wave of shock-and-awe in the Middle East.

That is certainly one worst-case interpretation of the comments made yesterday by the US ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley.
Confirming a remarkable U-turn in the Trump administration's stance on Syria, she said that removing President Bashar al-Assad was now a 'priority'.

Fourteen years ago we heard similar shrill calls from political leaders for regime change in Iraq, a country that – whether or not it used chemical weapons on its own people – posed no discernible threat to the national security of our own.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The fact that the US will most probably be going to war with Russia over Syria, which didn't happen in the Iraq war, is, as Josh Gates, host of the "Destination Unknown" series frequently states, officially horrible.

The spectre of the US military going to war against the Russian military, which:

1. Does conscript
2. Has better functioning weapons than does the US military
3. Has the money to pursue such a war
4. Has the manufacturing to feed the war machine

should be pretty terrifying to anyone with family and friends in the military.

Is Sunday the End of the Road for Turkey as a Secular Country?

Turkey has long been a shining (only) example of how a Muslim majority country can exist as a progressive society with freedoms, rights and a secular rule of law. But slowly, as power has become more centralized in the hands of President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, the liberty and secularism that made Turkey so unique has been eroded. The culmination of this is coming on Sunday as Turks go to the polls to vote on a referendum to change the very system of government from a Parliamentary Democracy, to a bastardized Presidential Dictatorship.

White House: ‘America First’ Foreign Policy Justifies Strikes Against Those Who ‘Gas Babies’

The White House on Monday insisted that President Donald Trump is still pursuing an “America first” foreign policy after ordering missile strikes on a Syrian airfield where the U.S. believes a chemical weapons attack against civilians originated.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer told reporters the launch of 59 Tomahawk missiles on Thursday night was a necessary measure to protect Americans.

“I think if you recognize the threat that our country and our people face if there is a growth of use or spread of chemical weapons of mass destruction,” Spicer said, “[then] the proliferation of those, the spread to other groups, is a clear danger to our country and to our people.”

Spicer’s definition of a national security threat is broader than Trump outlined during his presidential campaign. Trump frequently extolled non-interventionist foreign policy, and a belief that Syria should be left alone to resolve its six-year civil war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. Spicer, a word, please.

As I type this, the US is thoroughly, and disgustingly, complicit in the war crimes Saudi Arabia is perpetrating on the people of Yemen, under President Trump's watch.

The Saudis have been killing and maiming Yemen's children.

Images: killed and wounded Yemeni children from Saudi bombing raids

Yemeni children are dying from the slow, painful deaths of malnutrition, courtesy to the Saudis having blockaded the Yemeni ports.

Images: Yemeni children dying from malnutrition, due to Saudi port blockades

There has been a massive uptick in birth defects, Cancers, and still births in Yemen, courtesy of the Saudi's use of depleted uranium weapons.

Saudi military are using depleted uranium weapons, which has caused a massive spike in cancers, birth defects, and stillbirths in Yemen

Mr. Spicer, I have a very specific question to ask you; in the eyes of President Trump, is some suffering (which can be cynically used to support a geopolitical agenda) "more equal" than other suffering (which President Trump doesn't want the American people to know about), like the continued suffering of Yemeni children due to Saudi assassinations of them; the starvation of kids through the slow, painful death from malnutrition; and the massive birth defects in Yemeni children, due to radiation poisoning in the womb?!?

Because sir, that is precisely what I am seeing here.

The warplanes waged 12 strikes on Haradh district of Hajja province and three other strikes on Serwah district of Mareb province, as well waged six raids on Kamaran island in Hodeida province

Webmaster's Commentary:

What the heck has Iran done, in light of the reality it has not started a war in over 200 years?!?

Iran is not the threat in the Middle East; Israel and Saudi Arabia are the threats to the region, period, end of discussion.

That the US government is still complicit in Saudi war crimes in Yemen, after the "regime change" which brought us President Trump, confounds and disappoints me more than I can articulate.

The Saudis are slaughtering civilians; starving children to death through malnutrition, because of the blockade of Yemeni ports; and using depleted uranium weapons on the Yemeni population, which is leading to massive spikes in cancers, still births, and horrific deformities in newborn children.

But apparently, in the mind of President Trump, some war crimes (like the chemical attack in Syria) are more equal than others, like those I have mentioned above.

Make America Neocon Again

By Gilad Atzmon

It doesn’t take a military analyst to grasp that the American attack on a remote Syrian airfield contradicts every possible military rationale. If America really believed that Assad possessed a WMD stockpile and kept it in al-Shayrat airbase, launching a missile attack that could lead to a release of lethal agents into the air would be the last thing it would do. If America was determined to ‘neutralise’ Assad’s alleged ‘WMD ability’ it would deploy special forces or diplomacy. No one defuses WMD with explosives, bombs or cruise missiles. It is simply unheard of.

America targeted al-Shayrat because it knew with certainty that there were no WMD in that location. It was a firework show. It had no military objective.

Trump's National Security Advisor Planning 'Full-Scale War' in Syria

According to independent journalist Mike Cernovich, National Security Advisor H. R. McMaster is trying to get Trump to sign off on a plan that would put 150,000 US troops on the ground in Syria.

According to Cernovich:

Current National Security Adviser Herbert Raymond “H. R.” McMaster is manipulating intelligence reports given to President Donald Trump, Cernovich Media can now report. McMaster is plotting how to sell a massive ground war in Syria to President Trump with the help of disgraced former CIA director and convicted criminal David Petraeus, who mishandled classified information by sharing documents with his mistress.

As NSA, McMaster’s job is to synthesize intelligence reports from all other agencies. President Trump is being given an inaccurate picture of the situation in Syria, as McMaster is seeking to involve the U.S. in a full scale war in Syria.

The McMaster-Petraeus plan calls for 150,000 American ground troops in Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but has this gentleman become foaming-at-the- mouth, barking dog mad, to make such a suggestion?!?

I think the big thing McMaster needs to explain to the American people, who, most likely will see their sons and daughters drafted, slaughtered, and maimed for life, as the result of such an invasion is, how he expects Putin's government to respond to such an invasion of Syria?!?

I am not a betting woman, but were I, I would not bet that Putin and the Russian Duma will, thank you very much, sit quietly, humming "Kumbya", and do nothing, should such a US invasion happen.

US Vows to Keep Pressure on Syria as Hawks Urge More Attacks

Following Thursday’s missile attacks against Syria, the Trump Administration has vowed to keep the pressure up against the Syrian government, though exactly what that means means uncertain, with officials sending mixed signals on whether they’re going to militarily impose regime change on Syria or not.

In the meantime, they can expect to hear non-stop heckling from various hawks, demanding more attacks and more aggression as a matter of course, and insisting anything short of that would be taken as a sign of weakness by the international community.

And where there is hawkish sentiment to be expressed, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R – SC) won’t be far behind. Graham today insisted that by continuing to carry out airstrikes from the base the United States attacked, Syria was telling President Trump “F you.” He went on to demand 5,000 to 6,000 US ground troops be sent to Syria, both to wipe out ISIS and then to impose regime change therein.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word here, please.

Is there even a plan here, post-bombing, and punishing the wrong people for what they did hot do?!?

Because if there is not a plan, there really needs to be an adult in the room, in the bowels of power in DC, who understands all the ramifications of the bombing, and where, reasonably, the US can (and morally, should) go from here.

The US military has just bombed the assets of a sovereign nation, against which it has not declared war, and this has been done through executive order only, when Congress is Constitutionally given the power to declare war.

And Senator Graham, where are these 5,000 to 7,000 troops you are insisting Trump send to Syria, going to come from, please?!?

The US military is already overstretched to the max, in terms of troop strength, so President Trump would have to pull them from somewhere else, to deploy them inside Syria.

Senator Graham knows that such a move will most probably mean war with Russia, but absolutely doesn't give a damn about the price in blood and money which will have to be spent to get such a war going.

One has to wonder just how much of Senator Graham's portfolio is invested in the military/industrial complex.

Senator Lindsey Graham's net worth is $3 million dollars

Such a war would almost immediately necessitate the reintroduction of a military draft.

Poodle Trump Runs With Dogs of War

So the brash, big-mouth tycoon in the White House with an outsized ego has finally unleashed the dogs of war in Syria.

Invoking God and the suffering of “little babies”, the supposed US Commander-in-Chief Donald Trump ordered the bombing of Syria with cruise missiles launched from warships in the Mediterranean

But the upshot is this: Trump is acting like an obedient poodle going along with the Machiavellian American power system. Invoking God and suffering babies is just a shallow moral cover for his complicity in another US criminal act – in a countless list of such crimes down through history.

To save his political skin and no doubt lucrative future business opportunities for his dynasty, Trump has donned the cap of Commander-in-Chief and is groveling before the American war machine.

He is handing over an “official” license for war in Syria that the American Deep State has been craving for years.

AN UNHINGED MCCAIN CALLS FOR MORE WAR IN SYRIA, SAYS RUSSIA IS GUILTY OF WAR CRIMES

John McCain was on Face the Nation today, getting his neocon on, discussing the next steps that needed to be taken in Syria -- dealing with Assad.

He approved of the President's strikes -- calling it a good 'first step.' But, he wants MOAR -- accusing both Syria and Russia of war crimes, in addition to blaming Assad for the rise of ISIS. You cannot make this stuff up.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Senator Mc Cain is a complete embarrassment to the people of Arizona, and I would suspect that his consistency in getting re-elected has much to do with both his value to the American Deep State, and some really intensive vote-rigging.

Mc Cain's personal fortune is well-documented.

Senator John Mc Cain's net worth is 21 million dollars

Now, that's an investment that needs to be tended to.

So I have to wonder; how much of this is invested in the military/industrial complex?!?

We will never really know, because, unfortunately, Congressional representatives do not have to put their financial affairs into a blind trust as does the President.

But frankly, Senator Mc Cain has NEVER met a potential war he didn't absolutely love!!

YEMEN HUMANITARIAN CRISIS WORSE THAN SYRIA; WITH US ASSISTANCE, SAUDI STARVING YEMEN: PORTER

By February 2016, the humanitarian crisis in Yemen as a result of the Saudi blockade was already worse than Syria’s. The UN Security Council had a series of meetings about humanitarian access in both Syria and Yemen, and the members of the Council agreed that resolutions should guarantee humanitarian access — the ability to get food and other humanitarian assistance — to those in need in both countries. But once again, after the Saudis intervened with the United States and its European allies to oppose such a resolution on Yemen, the idea was dropped.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is what the US enabled Saudi blockade of Yemeni ports is creating:

Images: Yemeni children starving to death from malnutrition due to Saudi blockade of Yemeni ports

I would like to politely remind President Trump, who has just signed off on more weapons for Saudi Arabia President Trump signs off on more weapons for Saudi Arabia and Bahrainthat death by malnutrition is one of the cruelest forms of child abuse imaginable, right up there with being poisoned in the womb through the use of depleted uranium weapons (as the Saudis are using in Yemen).

But hey; American weapons manufactures are making a KILLING (literally and figuratively) with the weapons they are selling to Saudi Arabia, so who cares, right, Mr. President?!?

Profits, profits uber alles, right, President Trump?!?

CHENEY, ROTHSCHILD, AND FOX NEWS’ MURDOCH VIOLATE INTERNATIONAL LAW BY DRILLING FOR OIL IN SYRIA

After concluding the flow testing phase, Afek Oil and Gas will now begin analyzing samples drawn from the Ness-2 drilling site, euphemistically dubbed “Deborah’s Well,” in the Israeli-occupied region of Syria known as the Golan Heights. New Jersey-based Genie Energy, Ltd., Afek’s parent company, claims a dubious cadre of investors cum war profiteers, including Rupert Murdoch, Dick Cheney, Lord Jacob Rothschild, James Woolsey — as well as a number of current and former U.S. politicians.

Prior testing at a separate Afek site did not meet expectations, so the company sought other “sweet spots” in the area. Analysis of samples from additional wells will be performed by Afek scientists in conjunction with “external international experts.”

To understand U.S. involvement in the quagmire in Syria, Afek’s oil exploration is of critical import.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If the real reason for the US governmental blood lust for "regime change" in Syria has not been made clear for you before, it should be clear to you now.
