Jared Kushner at Saban Forum: Israel needs peace with Palestinians before it can form alliance with Arab states – U.S. News – Haaretz.com

Jared Kushner, U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser on Middle East peace, said Sunday that Israel needs to reach a peace deal with the Palestinians before it can form an alliance with the greater Arab world.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. Kutchner may be well-intentioned, but it is inexplicable to me that this gentleman is pathologically incapable of reading the facts on the ground, as Israel has manipulated them, to make it impossible for a contiguous, whole, state of Palestine, to exist.

And he needs to start by fully comprehending the realisation that Israel does not want peace but territory, and territory by any means necessary.

Has no one ever shown him, or does he not have the intellectual curiosity, to understand what the very notion of "Eretz Israel means, in terms of territorial expansion, and this is what the Zionists have been pushing for ever since the founding of Israel?

Let's take a look at what that territorial expansion, if realized, would mean for other countries around it, shall we?!?

Map: Eretz Israel, or greater Israel

Notice how many bits and pieces of surrounding territory get "gobbled up" by such an expansion?!?

Israeli Settlements Make 2-State Solution Impossible

Israel: 50 Years of Occupation abuse

The Israelis also make critically needed medical care for most ill Palstinians impossible:

Israel's Deadly Restrictions on Palestinian Patients

Israel routinely imprisons and tortures children, in order to "extract" confessions from them on what their older relatives may be doing or thinking, and have them sign those confessions in a language they cannot speak, Hebrew.

Military detention and torture routine for Palestinian children

Israel tortures Palestinian children and keeps them in outdoor cages in winter

It is threatening war against Lebanon, because of the presence of Hezbollah there:

A new ware could erupt as tensions rise between Israel and Lebanon

IF Mr. Kuchner cannot see that all of the above is not the behaviour of a civilized country, truly wanting peace with the Palestinians and its neighbors around them, but the behaviour of a country only wanting territorial expansion, at the cost of robust displacement and genocide of the Palestinian people, President Trump is getting some very lousy advice from him, and Kutchner should be sacked, and as immediately as possible.

Israel law allows prosecution of those revealing army violations against Palestinians

Israeli media sources revealed that the Israeli Ministerial Committee for Legislation was due to discuss a draft bill yesterday that allows the army to sue anyone who “offends” its soldiers.

The bill, which is aimed at organisations including Breaking the Silence which works to expose the occupation’s violations against Palestinian citizens, has the backing of Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked and Minister Yariv Levin, Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom reported.

According to the bill’s details, the draft law would allow soldiers to file defamation suits against anyone who tried to harm their reputation or spread information harmful to their image.

The newspaper quoted Likud MK Yoav Kish, who presented the draft bill, saying: “After the Ministerial Committee approves the draft bill, it will be presented next Wednesday for approval during a preliminary reading in the Knesset.”

Hamas threatens new 'intifada' over US moves on Jerusalem

The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas which controls Gaza called Saturday for a new "intifada" if Washington recognises Jerusalem as the capital of Israel or moves its embassy to the disputed city.

Reports in Washington have suggested US President Donald Trump may on Monday fulfil a campaign pledge on the American embassy, which like all other foreign missions is currently located in the coastal city of Tel Aviv.

"We warn against such a move and call on the Palestinian people to revive the intifada if these unjust decisions on Jerusalem are adopted," Hamas said in a statement.

From ‘Russia-Gate’ to ‘Israel-Gate’

Flynn’s unsuccessful efforts on behalf of the Israelis were the fruit of an Israeli appeal to the incoming Trump administration. The day after Flynn’s conversation with the Russian ambassador on this subject an anonymous Israeli official told CNN “that Israel – and reportedly the prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, himself – had contacted Trump to seek his assistance in killing the resolution.”

As special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe continues, the full extent of the covert Israeli effort to undermine what was then US policy will come to light, and this may prove to be the most revealing aspect of the whole affair.

What’s interesting is that an Israeli official would come right out and brazenly boast of having turned to the Trump team to stop the resolution:

Israel cancels Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit as Germany won’t guarantee their return

Israel has cancelled a Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit in Frankfurt after the German government refused to guarantee it would block Palestinian and Jordanian authorities from claiming ownership of the ancient manuscripts.

The Frankfurt Bible Museum announced the September 2019 exhibit was cancelled this week. Israel wanted the German government to guarantee the scrolls would be returned to Israel in a legally binding agreement before going ahead with the exhibition.

Germany’s foreign ministry and commissioner for cultural affairs were unable to do so, as the ownership of the scrolls is not clear, Hessenschau reports. Such an agreement would have blocked Palestinians and Jordanians from claiming the scrolls as their own, according to the Jewish News Agency.

Arab League, Palestinians Warn US Against Recognizing Jerusalem Israeli Capital

The stern warning came a day after a senior White House official said that President Donald Trump planned to make a pertinent announcement sometime next week.
Any move by the United States to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital would “fuel extremism,” increase instability and derail the peace process, the leaders of the Arab League and the Palestinian Authority said.

On Monday, Trump is also expected to decide on the renewal of a six-month waiver on the relocation of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

“Today we say very clearly that taking such action is not justified … It will not serve peace or stability, but will fuel extremism and resort to violence,” Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit said in a statement.

Palestinians Tear Down Iron Gate in Protest of Apartheid Wall

A group of Palestinian youths reprtedly managed to bring down an iron gate that was set up by Israeli forces as part of Israel’s illegal separation wall, running through the village of Anata, in the central occupied West Bank district of Jerusalem.

Spokesperson of the Fateh movement, in the nearby Shu’fat refugee camp of occupied East Jerusalem, Thaer Fasfous, told Ma’an News Agency that several youth used hand tools to bring down the gate on Friday, as an act of protest against the wall.

Fasfous pointed out that the gate is located in the middle of the wall that runs through Anata, and separates it from the nearby illegal settlement of Pisgat Zeev.

He said that, as the youth were taking down the gate, an Israeli army patrol raided the village, sparking clashes between soldiers and youth, upon which Israeli forces fired stun grenades, tear gas, and rubber-coated steel bullets at locals.

Israel to Coordinate with Google, YouTube, to Censor Palestinian Videos of Conflict

The Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister, Member of Knesset Tzipi Hotovely, held meetings this week with representatives of YouTube and Google, to find ways of cooperating to censor Palestinian videos from occupied Palestine, videos she dubbed as “inciting violence and terrorism.” Israeli daily Maariv said Hotovely will be working with Google and YouTube officials in a joint mechanism that will be in charge of “monitoring and preventing” any publication of materials deemed by Tel Aviv to be “inflammatory.”

Hotovely announced in a Hebrew-only press release that she met with YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, and Google’s Director of Public Policy, Jennifer Oztzistzki, at Google’s Silicon Valley Offices.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: Palestinians have utterly no justification for being upset, ever, at their treatment by the Israeli military and government's occupation, and all that upsets them must be completely censored from public view.

But don't worry; these stories can, and will, and need to, get out there, and they will.

Not EVER as a basis for violence, but as a testament to what a wretchedly apartheid, self-proclaimed theocracy with nuclear weapons believes it can do to its minority population, and with absolute impunity.

Israeli parliamentarians discuss clause allowing ‘Jews only’ communities

Israeli parliamentarians discussed Tuesday the legality of a proposed clause in the ‘Jewish nation-state’ draft bill that would allow for ‘Jews only’ communities, reported The Jerusalem Post.

‘Basic Law: Nation-State of the Jewish People’ is currently being shaped by a Knesset committee ahead of expected efforts by the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition to pass it into law.

One article of the draft legislation states that “every resident of Israel, without difference of religion or nationality, has the right to act to preserve his culture, heritage, language and identity”, and that a religious or national community has the right “to establish a separate communal town”.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So the rest of the world must accept open borders and uncontrolled migrations, but Israel wants "Jews only" communities. Can you say "Apartheid?" I knew you could!

New Israeli draft law would jail pro-BDS activists

A new draft bill sponsored by members of Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition would see activists who promote the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement (BDS) campaign face criminal charges and jail time.

According to the proposal, reports Haaretz, “the crime in question, which already exists in the penal code, harms ‘Israel’s interests or Israel’s relations with a country, organization or institution’.”

The new element, backed by Likud MKs David Bitan (coalition whip), Anat Berko, and David Amsalem, as well as Kulanu lawmakers Yfat Shasha-Biton and Tali Plosko, is “including the promotion of anti-Israel boycotts as one of the acts that can result in indictment on this charge”.

The bill’s explanatory notes state that the law “is meant to apply to anyone who takes an active part in a movement that boycotts Israel or its products”.

Israel forces Palestinian farmers off lands in Jordan Valley

Israeli forces have forced Palestinian farmers off lands they were working on in the Jordan Valley area of the Tubas district in the northern occupied West Bank, a Palestinian media report says.

According to official Palestinian Wafa news agency, Israeli forces ordered a group of Palestinian farmers near the village of Sakout to stop working and leave the lands immediately on Wednesday morning.

The Jordan Valley forms a third of the occupied West Bank, with 88 percent of its land under full Israeli military control.

Fifty-seven percent of the land in the valley has been declared closed military zones, where Israeli army forces routinely train using live ammunition and explosive devices.

Israeli authorities have recently decided to confiscate thousands of square meters of private Palestinian lands in the northern West Bank .

Dozens of Israeli settlers attack al-Aqsa Mosque

Dozens of Israeli settlers have stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the Israeli-occupied Old City of East Jerusalem al-Quds amid frequent acts of violence committed by Israeli forces and settlers against the Palestinian people.

An unnamed official from the Department of Islamic Waqf and Islamic Higher Council said a total of 52 settlers and an archeologist forced their way into the holy site through the Bab al-Magharibah under tight protection of several groups of Israeli soldiers and special police forces, Arabic-language Safa news agency reported.

The settlers performed acts deemed provocative by Palestinians in the mosque courtyard before leaving the sacred site through the Chain Gate (Bab al-Silsileh).

The Israelis and redefining sovereignty

The events currently occurring in the Palestinian arena, specifically the American vision for the Palestinian issue, are similar to a huge marketing campaign, as well as the sanctions that will be imposed on anyone who refuses the marketed product. This is despite the important fact that the product being marketed is not even ready yet.

The Israelis want to market a new idea, or rather, a new old idea. This idea suggests that there are various forms of sovereignty and that this could be proposed to the Palestinians. This is reminiscent of the Israelis’ past proposal of what they called functional sovereignty.

Israel, Trump administration ‘working feverishly’ to block UN settlements database

The Israeli and US governments are “working feverishly” to block the publication of a United Nations database of companies complicit in West Bank settlements, according to The Associated Press (AP).

The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC)-mandated list of companies was due to be published in December, but will reportedly now occur “early next year”, the latest such postponement.

Israel refuses to return Palestinian land, handing it to settlers

The Israeli Supreme Court in occupied Jerusalem refused to issue a ruling to return Palestinian agricultural land to its original owners following the Israeli army’s confiscation of said land and declaring it as a “closed military zone”, subsequently handing it over to settlers.

According to Israel’s Haaretz newspaper, the land being referred to are pieces of Palestinian land in the Jordan Valley, located in the eastern part of the West Bank. The Israeli authorities had seized this land in accordance with a military order, considering the area a “closed military zone”. The landowners have been prohibited access to the land and cannot work on it. It was later found out that the authorities handed over this land to a group of settlers who have used it for farming work.

The newspaper said that Palestinian farmers filed a petition urging the Israeli court return their land to them, but the court refused it during its most recent hearing yesterday.

Hence, the plan legitimises the presence of the occupation and permits the confiscation of others’ land by force.

Revealed – Saudis Plan to Give Up Palestine – For War on Iran

The left-wing Lebanese paper Al-Akhbar has obtained a copy of the plan (Arabic) in form of a memorandum by the Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir to the Saudi clown prince Mohammed Bin Salman (English machine translation):

The document, which is being unveiled for the first time, proves all that has been leaked since President Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia last May on the launch of US efforts to sign a peace treaty between Saudi Arabia and Israel. This was followed by information on the exchange of visits between Riyadh and Tel Aviv, the most important being the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince to the Zionist entity. The document reveals the size of concessions that Riyadh intends to present in the context of the liquidation of the Palestinian issue, and its concern to get in return the elements of power against Iran and the resistance, led by Hezbollah.

The Saudi foreign ministry memo starts by laying out its strategic perspective:

Revealed - Saudis Plan To Give Up Palestine - For War On Iran

The tyrants of Saudi Arabia developed a plan that sells away Palestine. They see this as necessary to get U.S. support for their fanatic campaign against their perceived enemy Iran.

An internal Saudi memorandum, leaked to the Lebanese paper Al-Akhbar, reveals its major elements. (Note: The genuineness of the memo has not been confirmed. In theory it could be a "plant" by some other party. But Al-Akhbar has so far an excellent record of publishing genuine leaks and I trust its editors' judgement.)

According to the memo the Saudis are ready to give up on the Palestinian right of return. They forfeit Palestinian sovereignty over Jerusalem and no longer insist of the status of a full state for the Palestinians. In return they ask for a U.S.-Saudi-Israeli (military) alliance against their perceived enemy on the eastern side of the Persian Gulf.
