Roger Goodell: Marijuana addictive, unsafe for NFL players

But TBI's are okay. Dead from the neck up!

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell may be willing to consider allowing players to use marijuana for medical reasons, but he remains against the banned drug for recreational use.

Goodell said Friday morning on ESPN's "Mike & Mike" radio show that he continues to believe marijuana has an "addictive nature" and likely won't be cleared by the NFL anytime soon as a pain-relief alternative.

China draws red line for North Korea issue: war is not allowed

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi took a tough position on the North Korea issue on Wednesday, saying that war on the Korean Peninsula is absolutely unacceptable.

Wang made the remarks in a press conference after a Sino-German dialogue on cooperation with Sigmar Gabriel, the German vice-chancellor and foreign minister in Germany.

China has drawn a red line for the U.S., North Korea, and South Korea, that war on the Korean Peninsula is not allowed and that all consequences would be borne by the relevant countries should war break out.

China warns of necessary actions as US says THAAD to be operational in coming days

China expressed its grave concern after parts of the THAAD system were moved to the deployment site in South Korea, which the U.S. claims is purely defensive. China Foreign Ministry said Wednesday that the deployment of THAAD breaks the strategic balance in the region and ratchets up the tension on the Korean Peninsula.

China strongly urged the U.S. and South Korea to cancel the deployment and withdraw the equipment, and sent a strong warning that China will take necessary actions to safeguard its own interests.

Trump tough on South Korea: Threatens to terminate free trade deal, wants payment for THAAD missile defense system

President Donald Trump said that he will either renegotiate or terminate a "horrible" trade deal with South Korea, Reuters reported late Thursday.

The president also said he wants South Korea to pay for the $1 billion THAAD missile defense system, Reuters said.

Responses to Trump's comments soon arose, with an official from South Korea's automakers association telling Reuters that the group is now concerned about "the uncertainty" of the free trade agreement.

Shares in Hyundai Motor fell as much as 2.4 percent following Trump's comments. South Korea's won turned weaker on the comments.

What is Real Conservatism, and why is it so important?

Up to two fifths of Americans describe themselves as Conservatives, and in England that number is roughly the same. The beliefs and principles that relate both the US and UK Conservatives are generally similar, yet any individual definition of what Conservatism means to each person who identifies as such would probably differ greatly. And of course, those who are not Conservative have a very different view as to what principles (if any) underlie its present incarnation.

I have a message for President Trump. Congress will never pay to build the wall.

What’s So Bad About “The Common Good?”

In this video, Vin Armani explains how to better understand politics in order to make accurate predictions. The key is identifying and examining groupthink versus individual self-interest. It’s easy to see that the “common good” is not good for the individual. The cycles of history show that collective political force causes great pain and suffering but in the end it is no match for the natural law of individual self-interest. We’re in this cycle now…Watch below.

I Lament Dershowitz’ Defeat?

Alan Dershowitz, used to be my arch detractor. He chased, harassed and intimidated professors who endorsed my work. He campaigned against venues that hosted my music. Not that long ago Dershowitz saw me as Israel’s most dangerous enemy. He even, at one stage, complained about my "obscure" sax playing.

He did it all in vain. Dershowitz has been bitterly defeated on each and every battle he picked against me. Not a single scholar surrendered to his pressure, not even one withdrew his or her endorsement of my work. They practically just laughed to his face. Not a single institution bowed to his pressure either as he himself admits. Dershowitz has now learned the lesson. The ethnic cleanser enthusiast has raised a white flag.

When 'Sunshine' Ruled on the Korean Peninsula

Before South Korea’s conservative presidents severed ties with North Korea from 2008, their liberal predecessors Kim Dae-jung and Roh Moo-hyun promoted peaceful engagement and rapprochement, an approach called the “sunshine policy.”

The name stemmed from an ancient Greek fable where the wind and the sun competed to remove a man’s cloak. No matter how strongly the wind blew, the man only wrapped his cloak more tightly to keep warm. But when the sun shone, the warmth made him take his cloak off. The wind symbolized unsuccessful coercive policies toward North Korea and the sun stood for an approach able to persuade North Korea to take off its anachronistic and uncomfortable cloak, changing at last.

9/11 Destroyed America Conspiracy Buzz — Paul Craig Roberts

In America, telling the truth has become more dangerous than ever … even deadly to one’s career. “It comes at a high cost that hardly any can afford.” Why have we allowed a tiny handful of neoconservatives to destroy multiple Middle Eastern countries, along with whatever civil liberties we once had in America? Neoconservatives are a tiny number of people. No more than a dozen are of any consequence. Yet they have used America to murder millions. And now they are fomenting war with Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea. The world would never survive such a war. Are Americans so insouciant that they will stand aside while a dozen neoconservatives destroy the world?

ANTIFA AND THE POLICE STATE

As we now know, the FBI is engaged in creating terror plots and using them to frame patsies, amounting to “a form of pre-emptory prosecution where vulnerable individuals are targeted and manipulated not for any criminal acts they have committed but rather for the bad political views they have expressed,” according to Glenn Greenwald.

It’s in the state’s best interest to stir up trouble between the so-called alt-right and its opponents on the left, especially violence-prone groups on its periphery. As the violence escalates, the state will move to further enable law enforcement to go after nonviolent and legitimate protesters and provide a rationalization for further expansion of its high-tech surveillance apparatus.

It took a formal investigation to uncover the dirty secrets of Operation Gladio. If not for activists taking files from a Philadelphia FBI office in 1971, we would not know about COINTELPRO.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Of course; further violence becomes the "justification" for more invasive, and intrusive, surveillance into all our lives, even if we are the polar opposite from violent, as Mike and I are.

In fact, we think that any surveillance on us by any of the "alphabet soup" intelligence agencies is pure punishment duty. :-)

Delta passenger kicked off flight after bathroom emergency

If ve order you to pee on yourself you vill obey!

Video has emerged of a Wisconsin man who said he was forced off a Milwaukee-bound Delta Air Lines flight after he used a bathroom while the plane was delayed on the tarmac.
Video posted to YouTube shows the man, later identified as Kima Hamilton of Milwaukee, as he argues with a Delta crew member who asked him to exit the plane on April 18.
Fellow passenger Krista Rosolino, who recorded the video, described the incident in an open letter published to a blog.

She said Hamilton got out of his seat to quickly use the bathroom as the plane sat on the runway.
She said he was told that he couldn't use the bathroom the first time he asked to go. After waiting 30 minutes, Hamilton said it was an emergency and went to the restroom, according to Rosolino.

When he returned to his seat, however, a Delta employee told him to exit the plane.

Oregon Man Fined for Talking About Traffic Lights Sues

PORTLAND, Ore. (CN) – An Oregon resident trained in engineering in Sweden says he’s developed a safer method for timing traffic lights, and the state engineering board fined him for talking about it.

Only the catalyst, magnitude, and duration will be.

Award-winning journalist Barrett Brown was re-arrested and taken into custody Thursday, the day before he was scheduled to be interviewed for a PBS documentary. Brown quickly became a symbol of the attack on press freedom after he was arrested in 2012 for reporting he did on the hacked emails of intelligence-contracting firms. Brown wrote about hacked emails that showed the firm Stratfor spying on activists on behalf of corporations. Brown also helped uncover a proposal by intelligence contractors to hack and smear WikiLeaks defenders and progressive activists.

Hungarian Prime-Minister Viktor Orbán: "The EU is supporting George Soros, a financial speculator who has destroyed the lives of millions of Europeans"

HUNGARIAN prime minister Viktor Orban this afternoon gave eurocrats and MEPs an extraordinary verbal battering as he let rip over the bloc’s “absurd” meddling in his country’s internal affairs.

The firebrand leader tore into Brussels during a jaw-dropping speech to the EU parliament in Brussels, in which he accused euro representatives of being “prejudiced” against his country.

Democrats Threaten To Shut Down Government If GOP Repeals Obamacare

Once again Republicans have managed to box themselves in. Just as the GOP has reportedly found enough votes among conservative Republicans to pass the latest iteration of the proposed Healthcare bill, with Freedom Caucus Mark Meadows saying "republicans will have the votes to pass" Obamacare repeal, Democrats realized that they once again have the leverage to bring this whole process to a grinding halt halt. And they are using it.

Holocaust denier Ernst Zundel barred from moving to the U.S., though his wife is an American citizen

Holocaust denier Ernst Zundel apparently wanted to move to the United States from Germany. (I say apparently because the decision on which I’m reporting, just posted on Westlaw but decided March 31 by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Administrative Appeals Office, referred only to one E.C.Z., but both the initials and the facts described in the decision fit Zundel and likely no one else.) He would normally get an immigrant visa, because his wife of 16 years — who is about 80 years old — is a U.S. citizen. But he was classified as inadmissible because he has been convicted of foreign crimes for which the sentence was five years or more:

[I]n 2007 the Applicant was convicted in Germany of 14 counts of incitement to hatred and one count of violating the memory of the dead. The Applicant was sentenced to an aggregate of five years in prison.

‘Wishful thinking’: Kremlin dismisses reports of Putin-Trump meeting in May

No preparations are being made for a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, the Kremlin spokesman said, commenting on media reports that the Russian and US presidents would meet in May.

“This isn’t the case,” Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said when addressed on the issue by journalists on Thursday.

He called reports on the planned meeting between Putin and Trump “wishful thinking” on the part of the authors.

Earlier, Putin said that Trump had failed to make good on his campaign promises to mend relations with Russia.

Building On The Tax Marches

As the deadline to mail checks to the IRS approached, organizers in New York were still protesting, and this time not only about President Donald Trump’s tax returns. Activists with the grassroots organization New York Communities for Change and other progressive groups held a rally on April 18 in front of Goldman Sachs’s headquarters in New York City to confront the world’s most powerful bank for dodging taxes and taking resources away from working people.

At The Threshold Of War: “The Choice Is Not Up To Us Anymore… It Is Being Decided Upon At This Very Moment”

The powers that be are intent on having a war, regardless of the consequences and effects on noncombatants. A war would also be a way to prop up the administration’s flagging ratings. Domestically we have not emerged from the “soft” police state and liberal “legislative” powers of the Courts to remake Constitutional law and circumvent Congress and the President through selective interpretation of anything and everything: These things are the true “legacy” of Obama.

Iraq War Architect, Paul Wolfowitz, Is Becoming Optimistic On Trump

I spent the last 50 minutes listening to an interview of neocon Iraq war architect Paul Wolfowitz, a truly unfortunate experience which felt like a tomahawk missile attack against my cerebrum. Regrettably, we still live in a world where you have to listen to the musings of such war criminals, as they continue to have considerable influence in certain circles of American power, and quite possibly within the Trump administration itself.

Trump Now A Captive Of The Deep State

When the gullible and insouciant American public and the presstitutes who participate in the deceptions permitted the Deep State to get away with the fairy tale that a few Saudi Arabians under the direction of Osama bin Laden, but without the support of any government or intelligence agency, were able to outwit the entirety of the Western Alliance and Israel’s Mossad and deliver the greatest humiliation in history to “the world’s only superpower” by making the entirety of the US government dysfunctional on September 11, 2001, Washington learned that it could get away with anything, any illegal and treasonous act, any lie. The gullible Western populations would believe anything that they were told.

West Virginia Legalizes Commercial Hemp Farming Despite Federal Prohibition

By Michael Maharrey

On Tuesday, West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice signed a bill into law significantly expanding the state’s hemp licensing program, opening the door for anybody in the state to produce or process industrial hemp for commercial purposes. The new law sets the foundation to end federal prohibition of hemp in effect in the Mountain State.

Del. Jeff Eldridge (D-Alum Creek) and Del. Jim Butler (R-Henderson) sponsored House Bill 2453 (HB2453). The legislation removes language in the current hemp licensing program restricting it to the Department of Agriculture and state institutions of higher learning. Under the new law, any person with a license will be able plant, grow, harvest, possess, process, sell, and buy industrial hemp...

With Mistrial Declared in First Bundy Trial, Federal Land Policies Remain the Real Issue

The land policies of the federal government, which commandeers about 640 million acres nationwide (28% of the 2.27 billion acres of the overall U.S.), do indeed call into question the very nature of such massive land control. The concentration of federal land ownership in the American West is especially staggering, with over 80% of Nevada falling under federal jurisdiction.

Behind the façade of the prosecution’s rather tedious, misleading courtroom arguments, that’s the real issue in the first trial of the landmark Cliven Bundy property-rights case—in which the jury deadlocked on April 24.

The NSA Once Spied On The American People With A Blimp
