US media and pro-Israel antics in Congress

The New York Times’ coverage of congressional antics related to the Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) legislation has ignored so many critical aspects of the bill that it might be time for the “paper of record” to change its motto from “All the news that’s fit to print” to “All the news we think fits, we print.”

Here’s why.

PENTAGON SENDING 2,000 ANTI-TANK WEAPONS TO IRAQ

The Pentagon announced on Thursday it is sending 2,000 anti-tank weapons to Iraq, following the rout of U.S.-backed forces in Ramadi by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The weapons will arrive as early as next week, said Pentagon spokesman Army Col. Steve Warren. He said the U.S. is also expediting the delivery of other equipment, including ammunition and other equipment to counter ISIS's increasing reliance on vehicle-borne bombs.

Stephen Harper probably wishes the month of May had never happened

Of their many other May woes, the government is merely reaping what it's sown. Here are a few.

Canadians discovered that the government didn't bother to spend a much-needed $97 million it had budgeted for the disabled, youth employment and adult literacy. This followed other recent revelations that it also failed to spend $1.1 billion that was available for the urgent needs of veterans.

Twice already this month, the courts have found for Omar Khadr and against Stephen Harper. His government's visceral hatred for the man, its relentless attempts to destroy the rest of his life, has blinded them to law and Constitution alike. These last two judgments join a long series of embarrassing judicial defeats for the government.

Memorial Day Is A Hoax — Paul Craig Roberts

Memorial Day commemorates soldiers killed in war. We are told that the war dead died for us and our freedom. US Marine General Smedley Butler challenged this view. He said that our soldiers died for the profits of the bankers, Wall Street, Standard Oil, and the United Fruit Company. Here is an excerpt from a speech that he gave in 1933:

War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses.

Two DEA Agents Ran New Jersey's Sleaziest Strip Club

And it was widely known around the dimly lit club that both men were DEA agents. Hell, they practically wore it as a badge of honor, with Polos rocking his DEA badge while Glover sported a Kevlar vest.

Polos even tried to pawn himself off as a G-man. “Polos would sometimes claim to others at the club that he worked for the FBI,” according to the court papers.

When Glover announced he was coming to the bar with two New Jersey state troopers, however, he made sure his fellow manager would be discreet. “I’m coming with two state troopers they don’t know I own the bar,” Glover texted. The manager replied: “Copy, I will be brief.”

But the DEA duo weren’t exactly known for their discretion. Polos routinely made calls and texted with his DEA-issued cellphone to get fellow managers to cover his manager shift at the strip joint.

What Do Takata Air Bags Have in Common with Vaccines?

By Catherine J. Frompovich

Both are consumer products. Both are manufactured by mega corporations. Both products have sales in the millions, if not many times more. Plus, both have killed individuals. However, there’s a significant uncommonness between both products, though: Takata air bags have killed only five (5) people in the USA, which set off a massive recall effort of accountability on the part of the manufacturer, whereas vaccines have killed hundreds, if not thousands or more, and nothing—zilch, other than apparent cover-ups—have occurred to prevent future child abuse!

Here’s proof for the above statement...

The US-Islamic State Dance: One Step Forward and Two Steps Back – By Design

That said, there exists too much overwhelming evidence to prove that the Islamic State is the US Empire’s latest creation of a designated enemy to propagate unending global war and destruction in all resource rich regions on earth. Reagan and Bush senior used Osama’s al Qaeda machine beginning in the early 1980’s as Washington’s proxy war mercenaries on the ground against the Soviet Empire that led eventually to its demise within the decade. Then in the 90’s al Qaeda was used to help “balkanize” Yugoslavia into 13 obliterated, ineffectual little pieces carved up and served as Empire bases against resurrected cold war enemy Russia as well as the Middle East. Then came the pivotal role of Osama’s 19 box-cutters - 15 of whom were Saudi Arabian - used as inside job 9/11 stooges, close to half of whom have since surfaced alive and well on the planet. Only the 3000 Americans murdered and sacrificed that fateful day by the neocons Bush and Cheney et al with Israeli-Saudi help remain dead. The extensively long history of the United States government covertly utilizing al Qaeda/ISIS/Islamic State as America’s oft-repeated actual ally in its fabricated bogus “war on terror” is nothing but a diabolically driven hoax on this planet. The Islamic State is the fake US enemy deployed by the DC crime cabal as its Empire paid-for-hire tool.

Cops Who Flash Banged Infant’s Crib Are Blaming the Baby

Nearly a year has passed since a Habersham County SWAT team stormed into the Phonesavanh residence, and very nearly killed their 19 month old child. The no-knock raid was prompted by an anonymous tip which suggested there were drugs in the house. As the officers forced their way into the home, they lobbed a flash grenade which wound up landing in the crib where baby “bou-bou” was sleeping. As it erupted, the infant suffered severe burns and had to be taken to the hospital, and placed in a medically induced coma.

To any sane person, the sheriff’s department would be responsible for the damage inflicted on this child. Not only were there no drugs in the house, but the suspect they were looking for was found elsewhere. And despite their claims that they had the house under surveillance for two days prior to the raid, somehow they had no idea that there were children who lived there.

Only in America? The False Dichotomy Between Movement Building and Electoral Politics

Most people we might think of as being on the American left don’t generally embrace the idea of “American exceptionalism.” There is one apparent exception to this unexceptional point of view, however, at least in some corners of the American left. That is the notion that in the U.S. – unlike any other country with a reasonably democratic system – electoral politics are somehow only an optional part of a serious political movement. The latest expression of this “only in America” point of view comes in response to Senator Bernie Sanders’s declaration of his intention to run in next year’s Democratic Party presidential primaries.

World Renowned Trend Forecaster Gerald Celente: “America Is A Collapsing Third World Country”

The government of the USA obviously sees the writing on the wall. They know the system will soon come unhinged. And that’s why Celente makes it clear that those who want to thrive while everything around them falls apart need to be focusing on physical asset acquisition. And while some investors out there are focusing on how to make money on their next trade, Celente says forget about short-term trading, and focus instead on value and long-term investments.

A major survey of federal government scientists commissioned by the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) has found that 90% feel they are not allowed to speak freely to the media about the work they do and that, faced with a departmental decision that could harm public health, safety or the environment, nearly as many (86%) would face censure or retaliation for doing so.

PENTAGON SHAM: DEFENSE DEPT ALTERED BOOKS IN LONG-AWAITED AUDIT, REPORTS CLAIM

PENTAGON SHAM: DEFENSE DEPT ALTERED BOOKS IN LONG-AWAITED AUDIT, REPORTS CLAIM
The US Defense Department’s watchdog knowingly turned a blind eye to financial irregularities, leading to the Pentagon signing off on an audit. This has led to questions regarding just how transparent the government auditing process actually is. A special investigation by Reuters revealed that a senior member of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Inspector General team had colluded with an independent auditing company, Grant Thornton LLP, to falsely keep the US Marine Corps books clean. The DoD remained the only federal organization that had not abided with a 1992 law passed by Congress to undergo an audit. This was despite the DoD receiving in excess of $500 billion a year, which is by far the largest appropriation of any department.

GOOGLE FIBER USERS SUSPECTED OF DOWNLOADING ILLEGAL CONTENT MAY FIND AUTOMATIC DEMANDS FOR MONEY

Demands for payment, often settled online, can range from $20 to several hundred dollars.

Google Fiber, the high-speed broadband service, is quickly expanding across the United States. Touting speeds which leave current Internet offerings in the dust -- allowing consumers to enjoy up to 1 GB/ps -- the service has moved from its original pilot grounds in Kansas City and is expected to appear in Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham, NC along with Nashville, TN and Atlanta, GA later this year.

Consumers are clamouring for broadband speeds up to 100 times faster than the national average, but may have a nasty shock if they plan to use the service in order to download content from file-sharing websites and torrent search engines which infringe upon intellectual copyright.

On Monday, while Walker was making the rounds on Capitol Hill in Washington, his super PAC—the latest campaign finance loophole-contorting tactic—was handing out formal printed invitations to join at the $1 million, $500,000 and $250,000 level that described just what political investors would get for their money.

What In The World Is Happening In Macedonia?

By Brandon Turbeville

In May 2015, protests began erupting in Skopje, Macedonia against the Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and his government. The protests, led by Zoran Zaev, were allegedly in response to the massive spying and surveillance of Macedonian officials and other individuals as well as an alleged cover-up of a killing of a young man by police in 2011. The protests were largely focused on the issue of government corruption, with tens of thousands of people in the streets of Skopje, demanding the Prime Minister’s resignation as well as that of other members of his government.

A major protest occurred on May 5 and several other anti-government protests have taken place since then. While some protests have remained peaceful, there has been widespread violence from other demonstrations. On the May 5 protest alone, violent clashes took place between protesters and police with injuries taking place on both sides...
