Did the DEA Help a Florida Task Force Hide and Launder Drug Money or Just Turn a Blind Eye?

The police department in a small South Florida beachfront community decided in 2010 to turn itself into Miami Vice and run a money-laundering sting operation to catch drug dealers. The operation, which ended up laundering about $70 million, did so with either the knowledge, or willful ignorance, of the federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Trump & The Political Risk Of A 3rd Party In 2016

If Trump took up a Third-Party, it might be the biggest shot we have at saving the country insofar as it would at least turn Capitol Hill into a new playing field. It really would not matter who the Third-Party candidate would be, Washington needs to be shaken and stirred vigorously to let these people know being a “representative” is supposed to be OF THE PEOPLE, not of yourself, the Party, and government.

Teen Who Built Gun-Firing Drone Arrested for Assaulting Cops

It’s pretty obvious the system is making an example out of this guy to deter others from following in his footsteps.

Eighteen-year-old mechanical engineering student Austin Haughwout of Connecticut put up a video called “Flying Gun” back on July 10th that shows his homemade drone hovering off the ground and firing a semiautomatic handgun:

You know, the kind of stuff the military and police departments across America currently have right now. The kind of thing that could be easily built by pretty much anyone these days.

The video went viral and people began freaking out that a citizen could create such a thing. The FAA announced it was “investigating,” although no laws currently exist specifically against this.

Documents Prove That the IRS Targeted Conservative Groups

It’s been a rough week for the IRS. On Monday it was revealed that during the last tax season, the IRS phone system hung up on 8.8 million callers looking for help with their taxes, a massive increase from the half a million hangups that were experienced the year before. The IRS is also being criticized for levying outrageous fines on businesses that reimburse their employees for health insurance; fines that are 12 times higher than the statutory limit written in the Affordable Care Act.

Agenda 21 in China and the Technocratic Vision for Global Dictatorship

By Rusticus

Trilaterals Over Tianjin

Tianjin is no normal Chinese city. Billed as a joint partnership between China and Singapore, Tianjin is one of the United Nations’ flagship “Eco-Cities.” In fact, it’s no normal “Eco-City,” either; the UN has a particular affinity for Tianjin, going so far as to hold its annual Climate Change Convention there in 2010. It’s a textbook “green engineered” Smart City as called for in the 1992 Rio Conference on Sustainable Development, colloquially known as Agenda 21; and despite China erecting these “Smart Cities” en-masse in recent years, Tianjin remains one the country’s only successful "sustainable" ventures...

Peter Beinart’s Fantasy – Raimondo

Does Beinart really believe the media complex that gives the War Party a guaranteed platform suffers from amnesia? I hardly think so.

Peter Beinart asks some pretty good questions: he wants to know why the same crowd that lied us into war in Iraq isn’t completely discredited when it comes to their opposition to the recently concluded deal with Iran. No, he doesn’t put it quite that way, in part because, by his own admission, he was one of the most enthusiastic cheerleaders for what he now describes as “one of the most important, and damaging, episodes in the history of U.S. foreign policy.” He frames his question this way:

“I have a fantasy. It’s that every politician and pundit who goes on TV to discuss the Iran deal is asked this question first: ‘Did you support the Iraq War, and how has that experience informed your position?’”

Beinart is right to regard this as a fantasy, because it will never happen. Yet he fails to ask why that is.

The War on Conspiracy Realists Continues

British government under Cameron's watch has been an active and willing partner in the Machiavellian strategy of divide and rule in the Middle East spearheaded by the US and Israel.

Obama picked up where Bush left off, flooding Syrian and Libyan insurgent groups with untold largesse and arms, using the corrupted Arab Gulf kingdoms as conduits for weapons transfers for the sake of plausible deniability.

ISIS themselves have mostly eschewed hostility towards Israel, posting an official statement on social media in July 2014 saying that they’re more interested in fighting “Muslim infidels” than the Zionist state.[6]

Israeli officials have expressed similar sentiments, with Israel’s former envoy to the US,Michael Oren, stating in a September 2013 interview that Tel Aviv “prefers” ISIS and al-Qaeda over the “bad guys backed by Iran,” namely Syria’s Assad and Hezbollah.

Thirteen Senators Who Could Make History

Thirteen U.S. Senators is all President Obama needs to ensure that the nuclear deal with Iran does not get derailed by Congress

Voters in their states still have time to communicate to Senate offices locally or in Washington.

Do the math:

There are currently 54 Republican senators, all of whom are expected to oppose the deal. The Republicans will need only 13 Democrats to cross party lines and vote against the deal to reach the 67 votes required for an override.

'DARK CLOUD' OF ALEC CONVERGES AT ANNUAL CORPORATE-POLITICAL LOVEFEST

Fighting to protect dark money. Attacking federal efforts to rein in carbon pollution. Undermining local democracy.

These are just some of the "hot topics" on the agenda this week as conservative lawmakers, corporate lobbyists, and top GOP candidates from around the country gather in San Diego for the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC)'s annual meeting.

"A dark cloud is headed our way in the form of a shadowy lobbying organization that buys loyalty from state legislatures with untraceable corporate dollars and threatens the very fabric of our democracy."
—Francine Busby, San Diego County Democratic Party

"A dark cloud is headed our way in the form of a shadowy lobbying organization that buys loyalty from state legislatures with untraceable corporate dollars and threatens the very fabric of our democracy," San Diego County Democratic Party chair Francine Busby wrote in advance of the conference.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Come on, folks, the Democrats are no less complicit in this kind of behaviour than are their Republican brothers and sisters; look how the much publicly loathed mandatory vaccination bill was passed in California, and triumphantly signed into law by Governor Brown!!

As reported at the Sacramento Bee on 18 June, 2015:

"A subplot to the vociferous debate over the student vaccination bill moving through California’s Capitol is opponents’ allegations that the effort reflects the influence of the pharmaceutical industry.

Critics of Senate Bill 277, which would eliminate the personal belief and religious exemptions for schoolchildren, accuse the measure’s supporters in the Legislature of doing the bidding of donors who make vaccines and other pharmaceuticals.

The bill’s proponents and drug companies dismiss the charge. The companies’ lobbyist filings for the first quarter of this year as well as legislative committee reports show no connection between the pharmaceutical industry and SB 277.

“We aren’t pushing this bill behind the scenes,” said Priscilla VanderVeer, the senior director for communications for the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, known as PhRMA, the industry’s main trade group. The group has no taken no position on SB 277, although the group has long backed vaccinations as sound public health policy, she said.

Other legislation has a more direct bearing on the industry, and it is an active political player. Pharmaceutical companies and their trade groups gave more than $2 million to current members of the Legislature in 2013-2014, about 2 percent of the total raised, records show. Nine of the top 20 recipients are either legislative leaders or serve on either the Assembly or Senate health committees. Receiving more than $95,000, the top recipient of industry campaign cash is Sen. Richard Pan, a Sacramento Democrat and doctor who is carrying the vaccine bill.

In addition, the industry donated more than $500,000 to outside campaign spending groups that helped elect some current members last year."

People had better start getting damned angry about the companies which control legislation at the state and national level; then, we have to figure out what we do to prevent that from happening, ever again, in the most peaceful way possible.

FLASHBACK 2013 - In Government, Nothing Succeeds Like Failure

The White House's decision to suspend enforcement of Obamacare's health insurance standards because of the website debacle was politically wise. (Its legality and implementation, however, remain uncertain.) But the main lesson we should draw from this incident is not that government can quickly change course in the face of failure. Rather, it teaches just the opposite: once Washington commits to a policy, it reverses direction only when waves of opposition engulf it.

Downing Civilian Airliners and Destroying Ancient Artifacts

Investigative journalist Robert Parry continues to report the use by the US vanguard of the MH-17 tragedy as a propaganda tool against Russia. The US claims to be outraged by the shoot-down, but its purported indignation was easily debunked at the time of the event, when commentators reminded Washington (leaving out many other acts) that it shot down an obviously civilian plane on a commercial route, Iranian Air flight 655, killing the almost 300 civilians on board. “The commander of a nearby U.S. vessel, David Carlson, wrote in the U.S. Naval Proceedings that he ‘wondered aloud in disbelief’ as ‘The Vincennes [the US ship] announced her intentions’ to attack what was clearly a civilian aircraft.”

It Cost The Koch Brothers Only $299,000 To Block Labeling Of Genetically Modified Foods

According to The Center for Food Safety: "Koch Industries’ subsidiary, Georgia-Pacific, is a member of the Grocery Manufacturers Association, which donated more than $7 million against the recent Washington State ballot initiative to label GE foods. Monsanto, another GMA member, was the single largest contributor to that campaign. Between Washington State and California, Monsanto, GMA (including Georgia-Pacific), and others, have contributed over $67 million to keep consumers in the dark about GE foods."

Others quickly jumped onboard, especially those who would reap the biggest incremental profits such as biotech companies, and now the GMA and other industry groups like the Biotechnology Industry Organization are cheering Pompeo's legislation.

At the time, many were livid that a full-court press by a few corporations and even fewer billionaires would keep Americans in the dark as to the genetic content of the food they eat:

GOP Elites Plot to Bar Frontrunner Trump From Debate

As if we need more proof of how tone deaf and self-destructive GOP elites can be towards their most reliable voters, the New York Times reports that at a weekend meeting of the Republican Governors Association there was an attempt by some “donors and operatives” to come up with a plan to bar current Republican frontrunner Donald Trump from the presidential debates.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The polls show Trump as the GOP's best bet against Hillary's presumed nomination, yet they are willing to throw that away because Trump won't play by their rules. That kind of decision making will likely drive a great many GOP voters into the Democratic camp, or to Trump's potential third party.

Donald Trump Extends Lead In New Poll After McCain Comments

Donald Trump’s rise in the Republican contest for the 2016 presidential nomination doesn’t appear to have been slowed much – at least not yet – by the recent controversy over his criticisms of Arizona Sen. John McCain’s war record last weekend. In fact, although Trump’s favorable ratings among Republicans have declined, he is still ahead – and far ahead – when Republicans are asked to choose among the 16 currently announced candidates.

Webmaster's Commentary:

People have a gut response in favor of the truth. Trump does not come across as your typical politically-correct "say anything to get elected", "never offend anyone" candidate, and people are responding to it. The GOP made a hideous strategic mistake trying to play up John McCain as some kind of hero above reproach, because in the age of the internet, the reality of McCain is well known.

Jewish Democrats Must Choose Obama or Israel

There are 18 Jewish legislators acting on behalf of the Democratic Party in the US Congress, and they are perhaps the key to victory on both sides - for both opponents of the agreement with Iran and its supporters.

"Everyone is looking for us," Rep. Alan Lowenthal (D - California), who is Jewish, told Arutz Sheva. "Last week I met with a J Street lobby that tried to explain how good the agreement is at this point in time, and next week AIPAC officials will be here - I guess to push exactly the opposite position."

Lowenthal faces a difficult dilemma.

"You have to make a decision regarding the transaction, and the situation is very tense. On the one hand Israel says the deal is not good, on the other hand the president says so."

Alan Lowenthal and another 17 like him will be forced to make the painful decision between loyalty to Israel and loyalty to US President Barack Obama's Democratic party.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This should not even be an issue. These are AMERICAN citizens who are elected to the AMERICAN Congress and paid AMERICAN tax dollars to serve the AMERICAN people! The wants of a foreign government should not even be on their radar, let alone considered an equal priority! If they want to serve Israel that much put them on a plane to Tel Aviv and never let them come back! No government can serve two masters, and a government that serves Israel cannot and will not serve the American people. A friend of Israel is no friend of America. In these dark times America needs leaders who will put America first, second, and third!

On Iran Congress Risks Alienating Europe

Members of Congress opposing the Iranian nuclear deal don’t seem to care that it’s a multilateral agreement their longest-serving European allies support. Europeans are far from impressed that the US legislature has taken hostage the diplomatic roadmap on the nuclear file that they played a critical role in negotiating. GOP Republicans have clearly attempted to shift the debate from a vote on the terms of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) announced last week to one on the US presidential legacy and US-Iran relations. If Congress derails the JCPOA before it’s even had a chance to be implemented, it will likely have troubling ramifications for US relations with a long-term ally, Europe, particularly on future sanctions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"To hell with Europe; we have to please Israel, first, foremost, and always!!!!!" -- Every member of congress who is a whore for Israel.

Iran war threats by Pentagon chief aim to ‘placate Israel’

Former CIA contractor Steven Kelley said the United States wants to placate Israel after Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter stated that the recent Iran’s nuclear conclusion would not prevent the US from using military force if necessary.

Clintons' charities got £50million of British aid cash: UK government accused of trying to buy influence with US power family

Tens of millions of pounds of UK aid money has been siphoned through charities linked to Hillary Clinton, it emerged last night.

British politicians – including Gordon Brown – stand accused of diverting huge amounts of cash through the organisations after falling under the spell of the US presidential candidate and her husband Bill.

At least £50 million of taxpayer-funded foreign aid money has gone to Clinton charities, which are at the centre of allegations in the US that foreign governments used donations to buy influence.

Israel’s attorney general to probe Netanyahus’ spending

-Israel’s attorney general has ordered a criminal investigation into excessive spending at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residences.

In February, Israel’s state auditor, the State Comptroller, revealed that a few of the taxpayer-funded running costs at Netanyahu’s official and private residences from 2009-2013 were excessively high, and called for steps to improve efficiency.

The Attorney General has requested inquiry into allegations that the official couple sent furniture bought for the Premier’s official residence to their holiday home in Caesarea, and that they used public money to pay an electrician to work at that property.

Netanyahu’s wife has also come under fire for her lavish tastes and abusive behavior against servants. Cleaning expenses at their private home averaged $2,100 a month in public money, even though the couple rarely stays there.

It also said they pocketed proceeds from recycling bottles that had been purchased for entertaining official guests.

New Illinois law does not make BDS illegal

Though it says the Illinois law is “troubling,” Palestine Legal points out, importantly, that it does not make Israel boycott activism, advocacy or engagement illegal.

Rahul Saksena, staff attorney with Palestine Legal, told The Electronic Intifada today that “boycotting Israel is a constitutionally protected right that cannot be taken away by state law.”

“While we should oppose any government action against BDS [the Palestinian-led boycott, divestment and sanctions movement], we want to emphasize that the new Illinois law does not prohibit anyone, including students, from boycotting Israel or advocating for BDS,” Saksena said.

The US Campaign’s Ruebner had also pointed out regarding the federal law that “nothing in any congressional anti-BDS initiative does or could restrict our First Amendment-protected right to engage in BDS speech and advocacy.”

“You? A Tax Evader?”

It’s no secret that governments worldwide are broke. One country after another is cutting social benefits and taking other measures to reduce government spending.

Take France, for instance. It’s under pressure from the EU to reduce its budget deficit to 3% of GDP. That’s the maximum permitted under the Maastricht Treaty, the agreement underpinning the EU. Currently, it’s at about 4%.

To comply with these rules, France cut family allowances and reduced grants to local authorities. It’s also started a renewed crackdown against tax evasion. It even laid off 7,500 soldiers.

But that’s not all. France also recently expanded incentives for new residents. The incentives exempt from tax some forms of income generated outside France.

That policy will reduce tax collections in the short term. But in the long-term, French decision-makers believe an influx of well-heeled foreigners will help lower the country’s budget deficit.

The sole real purpose of the US military is to regularly beat up on some small, more or less defenseless country, either in order to rob it of its resources, overthrow a government daring to defy the World Hegemon, or just to make an example of it. The US military was never designed to fight a major war against a sophisticated enemy.

FLASHBACK: Obama Campaign Is Modeled On Alinsky

Obama is not like other candidates, and part of this training is learning to mimic the methods he used before he was an elected official — back when he was a community organizer in Chicago following the textbook of legendary agitator Saul Alinsky.

Saul Alinsky wanted results

Rivals of Obama know that while he may at times appear to channel Martin Luther King Jr., his methods sometimes give evidence of his allegiance to Alinsky, who shunned starry-eyed idealists and recommended purging do-gooders from organizations. Alinsky wanted results. And his methods often forced the hands of elected officials.

Hillary Clinton, Saul Alinsky correspondence revealed

Previously unpublished correspondence between Hillary Clinton and the late left-wing organizer Saul Alinsky reveals new details about her relationship with the controversial Chicago activist and shed light on her early ideological development.

Clinton met with Alinsky several times in 1968 while writing a Wellesley college thesis about his theory of community organizing.

Clinton’s relationship with Alinsky, and her support for his philosophy, continued for several years after she entered Yale law school in 1969, two letters obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show.

13 Rules For Radicals – Alinsky’s Guide For Activists

The end is what you want and the means is how you get it
— In war the end justifies almost any means
— Any effective means is automatically judged by the opposition to be unethical
Tactics, like life, require that you move with the action
— Tactics means doing what you can with what you have
— Tactics is the art of how to take and how to give
For an elementary illustration of tactics, take parts of your face as the point of reference; your eyes, your ears, and your nose.

MEGA BEX ALERT!!! - "U.S. Preparing to Release Convicted Israeli Spy Jonathan Pollard, Officials Say"

The Obama administration is preparing to release convicted Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard from prison, according to U.S. officials, some of whom hope the move will smooth relations with Israel in the wake of the Iran nuclear deal.

Such a decision would end a decadeslong fight over Mr. Pollard, who was arrested on charges of spying for Israel in 1985 and later sentenced to life in prison. The case has long been a source of tension between the U.S. and Israel, which has argued that a life sentence for spying on behalf of a close U.S. partner is too harsh. Israel has for years sought Mr. Pollard’s early release, only to be rejected by the U.S.

Now, some U.S. officials are pushing for Mr. Pollard’s release in a matter of weeks. Others expect it could take months, possibly until his parole consideration date in November.

Selling Off Apache Holy Land

Three hundred people, mostly Apache, marched 44 miles from tribal headquarters to begin this occupation on Feb. 9. The campground lies at the core of an ancient Apache holy place, where coming-of-age ceremonies, especially for girls, have been performed for many generations, along with traditional acorn gathering. It belongs to the public, under the multiple-use mandate of the Forest Service, and has had special protections since 1955, when President Dwight D. Eisenhower decreed the area closed to mining — which, like cattle grazing, is otherwise common in national forests — because of its cultural and natural value. President Richard M. Nixon’s Interior Department in 1971 renewed this ban.

And at least since the election of Iran’s next President, Seyyed Mohammad Khatami, in 1997, it has been the hope of the Iranian leadership that, once Iran got out of the cold shadow of the nuclear disagreement, the isolation would thaw, and the antagonism with the United States in the region would end.

Wikipedia says Jonathan Pollard got a life sentence!

Pollard is the only American ever to receive a life sentence for passing classified information to an ally of the U.S.[4] Israeli officials, American and Israeli activist groups, and American politicians who see his punishment as unfair have lobbied continuously for reduction or commutation of his sentence.[5] The Israeli government issued a formal apology to the U.S. for part of its role in Pollard's espionage in 1987,[6] but did not admit paying for the documents until 1998.[7] Since the arrest, Israel has made repeated attempts through both official and unofficial channels to secure Pollard's release, but without success. Israel granted Pollard Israeli citizenship in 1995.[7]

Confidential Documents: Red Cross Itself May Not Know How Millions Donated for Haiti Were Spent

The American Red Cross is under pressure this week to answer detailed questions from Congress about the spending of nearly half a billion dollars it raised after the 2010 Haiti earthquake.

But internal documents newly obtained by ProPublica and NPR call into question whether the Red Cross itself has an accurate accounting of how the money was spent.

The reports, assessments from 2012 of some of the group's health and water projects, conclude that the charity failed to track its own spending, oversee projects, or even know whether or not they were successful. The documents also cast doubt on the accuracy of the Red Cross' public claims about how many Haitians the group has helped.

An internal evaluation of one of the group's water and sanitation projects found there was " no correct process for monitoring project spending."
