Right-wing Website Reboots to Fight Harper's Anti-terror Bill C-51

A controversial right-wing Internet forum, which muted its members' posts after a series of defamation lawsuits, will start-up once again to fight Bill C-51 and Stephen Harper, according to its founder.

Connie Fournier, founder of Free Dominion, said there are many Canadian conservatives who don't support the proposed Anti-Terrorism Act. The long-time Conservative party supporter and former volunteer said she is considering casting a vote for the New Democrats over the issue.

Fournier said the NDP is the only major party with a position on the bill that she can support.

"I feel like we're in some kind of alternate universe," she said. "You spend your life working for the Conservative party, and the Conservative party finally gets in, and [now] you're saying, 'I hope the NDP really steps up and protects us from our Conservative government.'"

Holocaust Denial Laws: Evidence Inadmissable, Defense Forbidden

In the speech, Stolz discusses her experiences as a defence lawyer for so-called Holocaust deniers in Germany, and describes the Orwellian system of state-enforced repression there which denies defendants (and their lawyers!) the right to explain themselves under threat of additional charges for the “repeat offence” of expressing a forbidden idea, even in their own defence in a court of law. Stolz further relates how the subject of the Holocaust itself has never been clearly or adequately defined by the German courts through the normal channel of judicial findings-of-fact in precedent decisions. Instead, the courts have relied on the arbitrary doctrine that the facts of the Holocaust are “self-evident” and thus in no need of proof, despite the obvious objection that the arguments of the “deniers” themselves clearly demonstrate that those facts are indeed contestable and thus cannot be “self-evident” by definition.

IS CHINESE THEFT OF MONSANTO GMO CORN SEEDS A NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUE OR JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF SLEAZY BUSINESS?

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) employed tools designed to be used against terrorists when going after two Chinese nationals for trying to steal genetically modified corn seeds and send them back to China.

The case against Mo Hailong and Mo Yun was brought after the FBI suspected the siblings of plotting to steal patented seeds from companies including DuPont Pioneer and Monsanto and ship them home so a Chinese agriculture company, the Beijing Dabeinong Technology Group, could grow genetically modified corn. In going after the brother and sister, and five others, the FBI invoked the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which is best known for being used to track down terrorists, so agents could gather evidence against the defendants.

Terrorism, Violence, and the Culture of Madness

George Orwell’s nightmarish vision of a totalitarian society casts a dark shadow over the United States. Dick Cheney: No Good Can Come From Iran Nuclear Talks

Former Vice President Dick Cheney attacked the Obama administration over its effort to seek an agreement with Iran over its nuclear program, and said that the next president needs to repair the U.S.’s relationships with Europe and the Middle East.

At a Republican Party dinner in this New Jersey suburb Tuesday night, Mr. Cheney said he was worried about the state of the affairs in the U.S. under President Barack Obama’s tenure.

Hillary Clinton’s Legal Downfall to the U.S. Presidency

Hillary Rodham Clinton, as an attorney who, therefore, cannot plead ignorance of the law, has broken one specific law of the United States that, probably, should have her fined and/or in jail—or both! And with no exceptions, exemptions or presidential pardons! That law is U.S. Code Title 18, Part 1, Chapter 101, Section 2071.

Paragraph (a) specifically states that the perpetrator should be fined or imprisoned for 3 years, or both.

Paragraph (b) says such a perpetrator is thereby disqualified from holding any office under the United States of America.

Plot thickens in Hillary Clinton's Benghazi email probe

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the news media's heir apparent to the U.S. presidency admitted that all of the emails on her unauthorized private server have been permanently deleted. Her attorney, David Kendell claims the server had been wiped clean before turning over documents to the special committee investigating Benghazi. And Clinton's army of attack dogs, including James Carville, Lanny Davis and attorney Kendell, are predicting the investigation of Clinton and her shenanigans will go nowhere, according to Sunday television news shows.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I agree that Hillary is not likely to face any real legal consequences for her actions, even though under 18 U.S. Code Section 2071 (b) her mishandling of government documents disqualifies her from holding any office. However, politics is perception, and this story will still be fresh in everyone's mind as we head into the primaries next year. Even the Democratic leadership is mumbling about her "unwinnability' to the point where they are openly talking about bringing back Al "Global Warming" Gore as their star candidate, despite the likelihood of another hard winter before the next election.

FORMER BLACKWATER GETS RICH AS AFGHAN DRUG PRODUCTION HITS RECORD HIGH

In a war full of failures, the US counternarcotics mission in Afghanistan stands out: opiate production has climbed steadily over recent years to reach record-high levels last year. Yet there is a clear winner in the anti-drug effort – not the Afghan people, but the infamous mercenary company formerly known as Blackwater. Statistics released on Tuesday reveal that the rebranded private security firm, known since 2011 as Academi, reaped over half a billion dollars from the futile Defense Department push to eradicate Afghan narcotics, some 32% of the $1.8bn in contracting money the Pentagon has devoted to the job since 2002.

Benghazi panel summons Clinton

Rep. Trey Gowdy, chairman of the Select Committee on Benghazi, sent a request to Clinton's personal attorney, David E. Kendall, requesting that Clinton appear before the committee no later than May 1 for a transcribed interview about the server and email.

The request comes after Kendall told Gowdy that the server had been wiped clean and that it would be impossible to recover the 30,000 emails Clinton deleted last year.

Republicans warn world that Obama U.N. plan could be undone

The Obama administration's plan for U.N. climate change talks encountered swift opposition after its release Tuesday, with Republican leaders warning other countries to "proceed with caution" in negotiations with Washington because any deal could be later undone.

Golden rice: Is it vaporware?

Despite the cover of TIME magazine proclaiming a decade and a half ago, "This rice could save a million kids a year” and the project having been launched as far back as 1985, golden rice still is not ready, as is clear from the revealing collection of quotes below.

And it's important to emphasise that this delay is entirely down to over-promising and failure to deliver and not, as the likes of Patrick Moore like to claim, due to pushback from golden rice's critics. The New York Times reporter Amy Harmon, who has reported sympathetically on golden rice, confirms that she has never seen any convincing evidence activism has significantly delayed the production of Golden Rice.

20 Reasons Why Hillary Would Wipe Her Server Clean

3. If she gave the Benghazi Committee electronic access to the emails, they could easily determine whether any had been edited or altered. It would have been extremely difficult to delete just some of the information in the emails. If she tried to doctor them, the system would likely show when it was last edited. Any edits after she left the State Department would be highly suspicious and the earlier versions could probably be retrieved anyway. So, it would be much easier to give out only hard copies, which can be easily doctored without detection and which would be difficult to search electronically.

FDA Pushing To Regulate Homeopathy Out of Existence

Dr. Martha Grout, MD, MD(H)
Activist Post

Why is there a sudden push by the FDA to label homeopathic remedies as dangerous? Why is there a need to regulate substances that have been used for hundreds of years with out any issues? What does the FDA have to gain?

The FDA has published two documents recently, which suggest that WAR is being declared on the profession of homeopathic medicine – or at least on the manufacture of homeopathic remedies, which comes to the same thing in the end. What is a homeopath without homeopathic remedies?...

Thailand, International Oil, and the Future of Energy

Tony Cartalucci
Activist Post

The Southeast Asian nation of Thailand is currently wrestling with a particularly contentious issue involving international oil concessions. In essence, foreign oil monopolies, particularly Western corporations including Exxon, Chevron, and British Petroleum (BP) have been given access to Thailand’s oil and natural gas supplies, to explore, develop, and exploit for billions in profits year to year.

Much of this money, it is alleged, ends up leaving the country. What remains is often divided up amongst a handful of special interests leaving little if anything at all left for the actual people and nation that has provided this vast source of energy and riches...

4 senators urge Obama not to impose peace conditions on Israel

Four senators sent a letter to President Barack Obama urging him not to bypass direct negotiations and impose conditions on Israel in an effort to create a two-state solution.

The senators — Ben Cardin (D-Md.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) — wrote in a letter Monday that while they are committed to a two-state solution that would keep Israel secure and ensure economic opportunity for the Palestinians, they are against efforts to let the United Nations and other international bodies impose the terms.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The residents of Maryland, Maine, Virginia, and Mississippi need to get on the phones to those Senators and tell them their jobs are Maryland, Maine, Virginia, and Mississippi, and not Israel! Because there is an election next year and I don't think "Friend of Israel" is the vote-getter it used to be.

Boehner playing dangerous game by mixing Israel, race

Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) trip to Israel this week is so blatantly political that even the avowedly impartial Associated Press describes it as looking “like a jab at the White House.”

It is worse than that. President Obama can jab back in any political fight.

The real issue here is the way Boehner is recklessly sowing division along party lines on Israel. He is also — intentionally or not — heightening the silent but simmering racial tensions that increasingly divide Americans on the subject.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Boehner is proving that he is an Israeli stooge, and Obama has every right to arrest Boehner and every member of Congress currently in violation of the Logan Act and toss them in prison!

Palestinians join International Criminal Court

Palestinians have formally become a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC), a membership that enables Palestinians to sue Israeli officials for war crimes.

The Palestinian Authority officially joined the ICC on Wednesday, becoming the 123rd member of the Hague-based court.

The membership enables the Palestinians to file lawsuits against Israeli officials over crimes committed on Palestinian territory, including offenses committed during Tel Aviv’s war on the besieged Gaza Strip last year.

The Palestinian decision to join the ICC was made in January after decades of negotiations with Israel failed to put an end to Tel Aviv’s policy of expanding settlements on the occupied Palestinian lands.

In response to the decision, Tel Aviv cut off more than USD 120 millions in tax funds to the Palestinian Authority.

Recent investigations by the Associated Press into the practices of Tennessee prosecutors during plea-deal negotiations have alerted Americans to one of their government’s most gruesome and supposedly forbidden traditions: forced prisoner sterilization. In the course of plea negotiations, the prosecutor reportedly would not take incarceration off the table unless the woman agreed to sterilization surgery.

Obama lifts hold on U.S. military aid to Egypt

President Barack Obama on Monday told Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi that he would lift a hold on U.S. military aid to Cairo, but also said the United States would stop allowing Egypt to buy equipment on credit starting in fiscal year 2018.

Obama has been reviewing military aid to Egypt since 2013 when the Egyptian army ousted former president Mohamed Mursi. The decision will allow for the delivery of 12 F-16 aircraft, 20 Harpoon missiles, and up to 125 M1A1 Abrams tank kits that had been frozen, the White House said.
Obama said he would continue to ask the U.S. Congress for $1.3 billion in military aid for Egypt per year, but has decided to "modernize" the aid by discontinuing the use of cash flow financing for military equipment starting in fiscal 2018, the White House said.

The 4 Forms of Political and Corporate Lies

“To see what is in front of one’s nose needs a constant struggle.” ~ George Orwell

As with most societal dynamics, there are various approaches and thought-processes we can employ to help us make sense of the unpredictable nonsense that constitutes today’s politics and corporate spin.

There are four forms of political lies.

Those involved in politics – the politicians, reporters and corporate lobbyists – are constantly lying. We all know it, we just don’t all appreciate the scope of it. Of course, there is outright lying which might be done in any number of ways, including complete conjuration and outright elimination of important information. However corporate heads, politicians and their faithful media normally prefer more nuanced presentations to their lies — so it pays to understand just how they go about it.

Four Forms of Political Lies

There are four basic types of political lies, which immediately correlate to the four basic forms of arithmetic.

The Odigo Warnings & the 4,000 Israelis Saved on 9-11

Last October, when I visited Denver, I met with some of the core members of the Colorado 9-11 truth group. Two of the group's leaders, Frances Shure and Earl H. Staelin, raised several questions about my claims that 4,000 Israelis were thought to have been in the areas of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on 9-11 - and that of these 4,000 only 3 died in the attacks.

Shure and Staelin also had questions about the Israeli-owned Odigo warning messages that were sent out several hours before the attacks and which were reported to have been precise to the minute. Because I have noticed that these very same questions are cropping up in several places I am posting them here.
