Labour's Lord Owen own goal over tax avoidance as he is ordered to repay £50,000 after investigation by HMRC

Former Labour Foreign Secretary and party donor David Owen has been exposed as having invested in a tax avoidance scheme – in a major embarrassment for Ed Miliband.

Lord Owen has been ordered to repay around £50,000 after an investigation by the tax authorities. He is a supporter of Mr Miliband and last year he gave £7,500 to the Labour party.

HMRC investigators will this month insist the 76-year-old settles within 90 days or face legal action.

Rehab, Jeb Bush-Style

The Republican front-runner seems to be addicted to the warmongers and regime-changers who inspired his brother’s foreign policy. Which should drive a sane person to drink.

If you want to know why bad decisions on foreign policy tend to get repeated, perhaps a good place to start is reliance on the same people who made those bad choices in the past to get it right the second time.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF the tickets are Jeb vs/Hillary, the American people have absolutely no real choice in the 016 election.

It is simply a question of which candidate corporations think they will get the most mileage out of supporting, period, end of discussion.

They are both dyed in the wool interventionists and war mongers, not at all interested in the welfare of America's citizens, but eagerly doing the bidding to those corporations which fund them.

With either candidate, expect more wars, and an ever deepening downturn in the money Americans can expect, reasonably, to earn. But hey, those corporations which support these candidates will be going like gangbusters!!

Uninsured Ex-Sheriff Who Fought O-care Struggles To Pay Medical Bills

Former Arizona county sheriff Richard Mack, a fierce opponent of Obamacare and a leader in the "constitutional sheriff" movement, is struggling to pay his medical bills after he and his wife each faced serious illnesses. The former sheriff and his wife do not have health insurance and started a GoFundMe campaign to solicit donations from family and friends to cover the costs of their medical care.

"Because they are self-employed, they have no medical insurance and are in desperate need of our assistance," reads a note on Mack's personal website.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Claire and I have Obamacare-compliant health insurance, and were shocked by bills from my illness a year ago our Obamacare-compliant policy says they do not have to pay! Those Obamacare policies with their sky-high deductibles are not worth the paper they are printed on!

Auditor: Florida’s jobless claims website in disarray

Ever since the troubled launch of the state’s unemployment website in October 2013, Gov. Rick Scott and his team have staunchly defended the lifeline for hundreds of thousands of jobless Floridians.

But on Friday, the state’s auditor general issued a scathing 45-page audit that joins mounting evidence that CONNECT is a system in disarray.

Why would GOP candidate for Missouri governor kill himself?

Missouri's auditor, who fatally shot himself in an apparent suicide, had vowed to take down the state's most powerful politicians and donors, including his fellow Republicans, when he launched an anti-corruption campaign for governor last month.

But in his final days, Tom Schweich described having knots in his stomach over what he thought was an anti-Semitic whisper campaign by a GOP consultant who now runs the state party.

His intensity had served him well in the past - he was proud of exposing corruption in his four years as auditor. But his tendency to fixate on issues also sometimes made it hard for him to get over political attacks, say some of his advisers and colleagues.

Schweich left behind a wife and two children - and a seemingly rising political career - when he died Thursday at age 54.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I do not buy the suicide story one bit.

Exxon Mobil Settles $9 Billion New Jersey Environmental Case for $250 Million

A long-fought legal battle to recover $8.9 billion in damages from Exxon Mobil Corporation for the contamination and loss of use of more than 1,500 acres of wetlands, marshes, meadows and waters in northern New Jersey has been quietly settled by the state for around $250 million.

The lawsuits, filed by the State Department of Environmental Protection in 2004, had been litigated by the administrations of four New Jersey governors, finally advancing last year to trial. By then, Exxon’s liability was no longer in dispute; the only issue was how much it would pay in damages.

The stakes were high, given the enormous cost the state’s experts had placed on restoring and replacing the resources damaged by decades of oil refining and other petrochemical operations, as well as of the public’s loss of use of the land.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder who, and for how much, got the damages reduced so incredibly, given the damage done.

The American government; the best government money can buy, ever!!!

Hillary Clinton Exposed Part 2 – Clinton Foundation Took Millions From Countries That Also Fund ISIS

The Gulf monarchs didn’t attain absolute power by being teddy bears. They are devious, ruthless experts in playing one side against the other. Incredibly, many of these same countries allowing funds to flow to ISIS were simultaneously padding the coffers of the Clinton Foundation, while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State. The Washington Post reports:

The Clinton Foundation accepted millions of dollars from seven foreign governments during Hillary Rodham Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state, including one donation that violated its ethics agreement with the Obama administration, foundation officials disclosed Wednesday.

Most of the contributions were possible because of exceptions written into the foundation’s 2008 agreement, which included limits on foreign-government donations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Hey, what a relief to know that Hillary Clinton CAN be held accountable; at least, to the highest foreign bidder!! :-)

Hillary Clinton has expressed concern over growing economic inequality in the US and is expected to make the issue a cornerstone of her widely anticipated presidential campaign in 2016. The scandalous duplicity of the federal government on important issues like vaccines (unvaccinated children are a threat to the vaccinated, so everyone get vaccinated!) and genetically modified crops (they're perfectly safe and don't threaten non-GM crops in any way, so plant away!) reveals just how deeply special interests have penetrated the ranks of our nation's so-called leadership.

During a speech in Silicon Valley, Clinton, the presumed Democratic presidential nominee in 2016, highlighted the displacement many workers have suffered as new technology has made many jobs obsolete. “The old jobs and careers are either gone or unrecognizable,” Clinton said, according to the Los Angeles Times. “The old rules just don’t seem to apply, and, frankly, the new rules just aren’t that clear. “[If] we want to find our balance again, we have to figure out how to make this new economy work for everyone.”

Liquidation looms for insurance cooperative

An insurance cooperative created to provide health care in Iowa and Nebraska will be formally liquidated this weekend.

Iowa Insurance Commissioner Nick Gerhart said Thursday that a Polk County judge has agreed to approve the liquidation plan, which will be finalized on Saturday night.

CoOportunity is a federally funded nonprofit established to provide health care in Iowa and Nebraska. Gerhart took the cooperative over after he determined the nonprofit’s claims would exceed its available cash.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We will see more of these. The more-costly Obamacare policies come with sky-high deductibles, which means they don't really pay that much for your health care. The costs that used to be covered by the major health insurance companies that wrote the ACA are now being shifted onto supplemental insurance programs, which are then driven into bankruptcy.

Thank you, Obamacare!

What Happens When An Unstoppable Force Meets An Immovable Object?

"Once there was a man of Ch`u selling shields and spears. In praising his shields he said, 'My shields are so solid that nothing can penetrate them.'

Again, in praising his spears, he said, 'My spears are so sharp that they can penetrate anything.'

In response to his words somebody asked, 'How about using your spears to pierce through your shields?'

To this the man could not give any reply. Indeed, impenetrable shields and absolutely penetrative spears cannot stand together at the same time."

It Is Time To Kill The Drug Lord Vampires...

The most insidious United States health project out there is what's called the CDC "Vaccines For Children Program." It is the basis for making our local Public Health Agencies the street-corner drug pusher - whose activities are aimed at our children.

Here, within the US, basically five corporations are attempting to force Unquestionable Mandatory Vaccines on an unsuspecting population - Merck, Sanofi-Pasteur, Glaxo Smith Kline, Novartis, and Pfizer. None of these are US-based corporations. They are all foreign-owned - kept beyond US watchdog scrutiny. You never see their leadership, ever. Certainly not during the light of day.

COMER UPDATE - Federal Court of Appeal Decision — January 26, 2015

Since the Federal Court of Appeal fully upheld the decision of Justice Russell dated April 24, 2014, Justice Russell’s decision stands. I refer everyone to my summary of that decision on COMER’s website.

What that means is that we are entitled to proceed with our action, subject to me drafting and filing an amended Statement of Claim with the Federal Court, which will be done shortly.

In short, and in summary, the decision of the Federal Court of Appeal is a victory for COMER to proceed. (While the government can seek leave of the Federal Court of Appeal’s decision to the Supreme Court of Canada, to date no such indication has been conveyed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

For those just finding out about COMER (which Canada has been trying to block and ban from both corporate and independent media) , the Bank of Canada is supposed to provide interest-free loans to the Canadian governments for infrastructure development. But starting in the 1970s, the Canadian government started getting their loans from privately owned banks, and forcing Canadian taxpayers to pay the interest! The COMER lawsuit seeks to force the Canadian government to avail itself of the interest-free loans mandated by the charter for the Bank of Canada, and so far the courts have agreed that COMER is correct.

The Canadian government has banned this subject from the Canadian corporate media, and emails from Canada report that links to stories about COMER are blocked inside Canada as well. This is to keep the Canadian people from finding out about this scandal as they would likely ask why the Canadian government would do such a thing, and so far the only answer seems to be, "We decided to loot the taxpayers and give it to the private banks because the private bankers write really generous campaign donation checks every election!"

Needless to say, this would not sit very well with the already over-taxed Canadian people!

The real reason Diana tapes were shelved: Director claims BBC axed 'dynamite' footage amid fears of upsetting monarchy - despite spending £500,000 on programme

The BBC allegedly wasted £500,000 on a documentary featuring 'dynamite' interviews with Princess Diana - but later shelved it because it did not want to upset the monarchy, it has been claimed.

According to the director behind a controversial documentary about the Princess of Wales, the BBC went on to give a misleading account of why the programme was not broadcast.

The Corporation said at the time that Diana: Her Story, Her Words, due to be broadcast on the tenth anniversary of her death, did not sufficiently add to the story of Diana's life.

But, in another controversial documentary being aired tonight, it is claimed the BBC stopped its broadcast amid fears it would upset the Royal Family close to Prince's Charles 60th birthday.

If vaccines work so well, then why does the science have to be FAKED?

There are no "whistleblowers" in the organic food world that all of the sudden "confess" that the power of organic food is some horrible lie and that all the tests for health and safety were faked by leading researchers and scientists. That hasn't happened, isn't happening and won't happen. Why? Because nutrition works, and chemical medicines don't, relatively speaking. White House Economic Report Calls for Cutting Corporate Taxes

On Thursday, the White House released its “2015 Economic Report of the President,” presenting it as an argument for “middle-class economics.”

The document seeks to justify Obama’s scheme, spelled out in his most recent budget proposal, to slash corporate taxes by up to ten percentage points. The report attempts to obscure the fact that such a windfall for the corporate-financial elite will dramatically increase social inequality, claiming instead that it will “increase productivity, output and living standards.”

Hillary Clinton’s War on Women

Hillary Clinton portrays herself as a champion of women in the workforce, but women working for her in the U.S. Senate were paid 72 cents for each dollar paid to men, according to a Washington Free Beacon analysis of her Senate years’ salary data.

During those years, the median annual salary for a woman working in Clinton’s office was $15,708.38 less than the median salary for a man, according to the analysis of data compiled from official Senate expenditure reports.

The analysis compiled the annual salaries paid to staffers for an entire fiscal year of work from the years 2002 to 2008. Salaries of employees who were not part of Clinton’s office for a full fiscal year were not included. Because the Senate fiscal year extends from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30, Clinton’s first year in the Senate, which began on Jan. 3, 2001, was also not included in the analysis.

Webmaster's Commentary:

For all women bandying about the word "inevitability" when discussing Hillary's potential run for the Presidency in 2016, please think again; she is not the champion of workplace equality you have allowed yourself to be hoodwinked in to believing she is.

With Hillary as President, we will see more wars, more income inequality, more US poverty, and infinitely less freedom of the press, particularly for the independent media, which she despises with almost missionary fervor.

Wikileak Cables: Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Washington's Pocket Since 2006

The evidence that the U.S. was behind the toppling of the Ukrainian government early this year is so overwhelming at this point that the subject really isn't up for debate, however initially it was unclear how the election of Petro Poroshenko fit in. The ecstatic response by Washington when he was declared the winner, and their unbending support in spite of his ongoing military assault against civilians in the east, made it clear that he was the chosen one, but the paper trail wasn't immediately obvious.

For instance, one of the biggest donors is Saudi Arabia, whose Shariah-on-steroids government has donated no less than $10 million of that total.

British Defence Secretary Michael Fallon praised Qatar as one of the UK’s “most important allies” during a meeting with his Qatari counterpart on Monday, amid allegations that the Gulf state supports terrorism.

Fallon met with the Qatari Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Hamad Bin Ali Al Attiyah, to discuss areas for military cooperation in the fight against the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL).

After the meeting, Fallon praised the Gulf state for being among the UK’s “most important allies.”

White House that promised transparency refuses to cooperate with IRS probe

The White House told Congress last week it refused to dig into its computers for emails that could shed light on what kinds of private taxpayer information the IRS shares with President Obama’s top aides, assuring Congress that the IRS will address the issue — eventually.

The tax agency has already said it doesn’t have the capability to dig out the emails in question, but the White House’s chief counsel, W. Neil Eggleston, insisted in a letter last week to House Committee on Ways and Means Chairman Paul Ryan that the IRS would try again once it finishes with the tea party-targeting scandal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Can't the NSA find that info quickly? If not, then they really can;t find terrorists, can they?

Documents show the expensive tastes of Jeb Bush’s low-key wife

In 1999, Columba Bush, the famously private wife of then-Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, was detained and fined by federal customs officials for misrepresenting the amount of clothing and jewelry she had bought while on a solo five-day shopping spree in Paris.

The incident left the Florida first lady deeply mortified and her husband politically chagrined. Jeb Bush said the first lady had misled customs officials because she did not want him to know that she had spent about $19,000 on the trip.

Media Reports That GMO Science Is Settled Are Flat-Out Wrong

In the wake of prominent media reports about supposed scientific agreement on the safety of genetically engineered food, including a cover story in National Geographic that equates concerns about GMOs with climate change denial, U.S. Right to Know is calling on media to accurately report that the science on GMOs is contradictory, unsettled, and has been largely controlled by corporations that profit from GMO seeds and the pesticides that go with them.

“Unfortunately, many members of the media, and even some scientists, have been snookered by PR firms about a supposed scientific consensus on GMOs that doesn’t exist,” said Stacy Malkan, media director of U.S. Right to Know.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am glad National Geographic linked concern over GMO with global warming denial, as this winter (like the 5 before it) has demonstrated that the science is NOT settled!

Hillary Clinton Exposed Part 1 – How She Aggressively Lobbied for Mega Corporations as Secretary of State

That approach, which Mrs. Clinton called “economic statecraft,” emerged in discussions with Robert Hormats, a former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. investment banker who has worked in Democratic and Republican administrations and became an undersecretary of state. “One of the very first items was, how do we strengthen the role of the State Department in economic policy?” he says.

Early in Mrs. Clinton’s tenure, according to Mr. Hormats, Microsoft’s then Chief Research Officer Craig Mundie asked the State Department to send a ranking official to a fourth annual meeting of U.S. software executives and Chinese government officials about piracy and Internet freedom. Mr. Hormats joined the December 2009 meeting in Beijing.

Mr. Hormats says there was no relation between Microsoft’s donations and the State Department’s participation in the China conference.

Swimming with the Sharks: Goldman Sachs, School Districts, and Capital Appreciation Bonds

Remember when Goldman Sachs – dubbed by Matt Taibbi the Vampire Squid – sold derivatives to Greece so the government could conceal its debt, then bet against that debt, driving it up? It seems that the ubiquitous investment bank has also put the squeeze on California and its school districts. Not that Goldman was alone in this; but the unscrupulous practices of the bank once called the undisputed king of the municipal bond business epitomize the culture of greed that has ensnared students and future generations in unrepayable debt.

HSBC Documents Show Bank Helped Clients Hide Billions From Tax Man

British bank HSBC helped hundreds of Canadians hide Swiss accounts from authorities to avoid paying millions of dollars in taxes, CBC News has learned.

That’s one of the takeaways gleaned from a massive collection of documents collected by Hervé Falciani, a former employee of the bank, who blew the whistle on his former employer and handed over reams of data to tax authorities.

Islamic terror and the great deception

The unseen adepts who rule America also rule the world. They are masters at understanding human nature.

They have spent hundreds of years creating the public mindset which they manipulate in our generation with the most perfect precision. Words, phrases and thought patterns are a political science that triggers exact and predictable responses to political rhetoric.

They have many names — the elite, Illuminati, Zionists, Bilderbergers, Trilateral Commission, Council on Foreign Relations, World Bank and International Monetary Fund, to name a few — but in the end they are one in the same. Their goals are one in the same. Their goals are not your goals, but they are masters at convincing you they are.

David Letterman imagines 10 creepy things Biden whispered to Ash Carter’s wife

Vice President Biden's propensity for whispering in the ears of women is now late-night joke fodder. David Letterman counted down the top 10 things Biden whispered into Stephanie Carter's ear this week after her husband, Ash Carter, was sworn in as defense secretary.

Among them, "Let me know when this gets weird," and "Ever heard of a second Second Lady?"

Biden has a well-documented history of being quite touchy-feely, but it's only recently started to become a recurring meme.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I agree Biden is acting inappropriately in public. However I have to wonder if the sudden media attention is a concerted effort to "discourage" Biden from challenging Hillary at the 2016 primary.

Clinton Foundation Receiving Millions From Proponents of Keystone XL

Fossil fuel corporations and a Canadian trade agency that has promoted the construction of the controversial Keystone XL pipeline have donated millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation, which is jointly run by Hillary, Bill, and Chelsea.

Climate campaigners say that the payments raise concerns about industry influence on Hillary Clinton, a likely 2016 presidential candidate who has so far remained mum on her position on the tar sands pipeline, despite a call from 30 environmental organizations—issued over a year ago—urging her to take a stand against it.

The gifts to the foundation—whose stated mission is to "improve global health and wellness, increase opportunity for women and girls, reduce childhood obesity, create economic opportunity and growth, and help communities address the effects of climate change"—were first reported by The Wall Street Journal earlier this week.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The next question is how much overlap exists between the Clinton Foundation and the 2016 campaign.

There is no debate: Vaccine data is largely based on research fraud and intimidation of scientists

Government spokespersons, media correspondents, celebrities and others are urging everyone, young and old alike, to march down to their local pharmacy and get an MMR vaccine, which they insist will provide protection against the threat of infection.

But is this actually true? Both the safety and efficacy of the MMR vaccine have been called into question on numerous occasions, including late last summer when U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) whistleblower Dr. William Thompson came forward with information about how the MMR had been shown to cause autism in children, and particularly African American children. The government tried to conceal this data from the public, but Thompson bravely brought it to light in a move that could cost him his career.

The Straw That Broke the Back of the American Economy

As many of you know, we have an $18 trillion dollar [official government] debt, a $240 trillion dollar [unofficial government] debt, a $200 trillion dollar consumer credit debt and we have the ultimate elephant in the room, the one quadrillion dollar derivatives debt. In a country that imports 20% of its food supply, it was reported yesterday by KTAR 92.3 FM (Phoenix) that massive amounts of food are rotting on ships waiting to be offloaded and the docks awaiting shipment.

We should be wondering how much more can the economy take? What will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back?

Shaken Baby Syndrome often just a cover story for children who are brain damaged by vaccines

Child abuse comes in many forms, and can result in serious and permanent health conditions such as Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS), a type of brain damage that typically afflicts children younger than one-year-old. But the cause of such abuse is not always physical trauma as many experts claim -- pediatricians, doctors, and government officials routinely abuse children by injecting them with toxic vaccines, which are often the real cause of SBS and other brain damage-related conditions inappropriately blamed on physical abuse allegedly caused by parents and guardians.

Alberta tar sands pollution suspected in rare cancer cases

In 2006, Canadian doctor John O’Connor made a startling realization. Specialists had diagnosed three of his patients in the northern Alberta village of Fort Chipewyan with cholangiocarcinoma — a deadly cancer of the bile duct. The same cancer had killed his own father years earlier in Ireland.

Only about one in 100,000 Canadians contracts this type of cancer, so the likelihood of three cases in a town of about 950 was minuscule. O’Connor suspected pollution from Alberta’s tar sands, 100 miles upstream from Fort Chipewyan on the Athabasca River. Since then, the provincial government, while confirming an additional case of bile duct cancer and high rates of lung and cervical cancer, has yet to investigate further.

WHAT THE NETANYAHUS CAN LEARN FROM HARRY AND BESS TRUMAN

Harry Truman was a different kind of President. He probably made as many, or more important decisions regarding our nation’s history as any of the other 32 Presidents preceding him. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did after he left the White House.

The only asset he had when he died was the house he lived in, which was in Independence , Missouri . His wife had inherited the house from her mother and father and other than their years in the White House, they lived their entire lives there.

When he retired from office in 1952 his income was a U.S. Army
pension reported to have been $13,507..72 a year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and personally licking them, granted him an ‘allowance’ and later, a retroactive pension of $25,000 per year.

After President Eisenhower was inaugurated, Harry and Bess drove
home to Missouri by themselves. There was no Secret Service following them.

Clinton Foundation Donors Found to be Clients of Controversial Swiss Bank

As US prosecutors consider filing criminal charges against UK-based HSBC for aiding tax evaders, several major donors to a Clinton-family foundation are revealed to have ties to the bank’s controversial Swiss division.

The Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation received $81 million from from various international donors who were clients of HSBC’s Swiss division in Geneva, the Guardian reports.

Donors include the Canadian mining magnate Frank Giustra whose contributions total at least $50 million. Richard Caring, a British retail clothing magnate and club owner, donated $1 million to the Clintons’ foundation in exchange for Bill Clinton’s attendance at an opulent St. Petersburg gala.

Clintons Desperate To Dissipate “Orgy Island” Underage Sex Scandal

Last week various media outlets/blogs/etc. began asking the basic question of where Hillary Clinton had seemingly disappeared to. Possibilities ranged from her undergoing a rigorous diet and exercise regime, to plastic surgery, to a somewhat serious medical issue. (She has been hospitalized several times in recent years)

Now those more speculative rumors are being pushed aside by something else – a far more potentially damaging scenario that could derail the Clintons’ hope for another tenure inside the White House:

An underage sex scandal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I think we should focus on Hillary herself; the cattle-futures trades, travel office firings, Benghazi, Vince Foster, and NOT let Bill's already well-documented generosity with his genitalia be a distraction. Hillary could easily turn this story around, play the wronged woman (again) and garner instant sympathy and support from all the women voters in America!

White House Overhypes Obamacare Enrollment, Again

Yesterday evening, not long after the official (but not actual) end of Obamacare’s open enrollment period, the White House Twitter feed posted some breaking news: “About 11.4 million Americans are signed up for private health coverage,” the tweet said, posting the information with the hashtag #ACAWorks.

It is in some ways remarkable that the White House can provide this information so quickly. Not because the information should be hard to collect, but because other similar information often eludes the administration.

As Bloomberg News health care reporter Alex Wayne noted on Twitter earlier today during a Q&A session with Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Matthews Burwell, the administration "still can’t tell us how many people were enrolled in Obamacare at the end of 2014."

Downing Street rejects inquiry into handling of HSBC files

Downing Street has rejected calls for an inquiry into the handling of 3,000 suspected tax evaders with accounts at HSBC’s Swiss private bank, which has so far led to a single prosecution.
