Eric Holder’s Justice Department rocked by nepotism charges

The head of a Justice Department law enforcement office used his position to secure a job for his son and other relatives, the agency’s internal watchdog said Wednesday.

The head of the department’s branch of the International Criminal Police Organization, or Interpol, told employees to “earmark a spot” for his son and “provide extra attention to his processing for obvious reasons,” said the department’s inspector general.

It’s not the first example of nepotism at Eric Holder’s Justice Department. A November investigation by the inspector general found that certain offices in the department had a “pervasive culture of nepotism and favoritism.” It’s at least the fifth inspector general report since 2004 to find hiring problems at the agency.

How giving Prince Philip a knighthood left Australia's PM fighting for survival

Australia Day is not typically a difficult occasion for the Australian prime minister. And with his austerity budget stalling, and his poll numbers at a record low, Tony Abbott needed a break.

Instead, Australia Day 2015 will be remembered for one reason: the “Sir Prince Philip thing”, the bizarre decision by Abbott to award the nation’s highest honour to an ageing aristocrat most remembered in this country for asking an Indigenous Australian, on a 2002 visit, “Do you still throw spears at each other?”

Pressure Grows to Delay or Drop Bibi’s Speech

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been “reaching out”, as the New York Times delicately puts it, to Democratic leaders in the U.S. Congress who were blindsided by Republican House Speaker John Boehner’s invitation to Netanyahu to address Congress March 3.

Netanyahu’s office confirmed Thursday, according to the Times, that the Prime Minister had called Democrats and “other friends” in Congress in recent days, and that he “reiterated that the survival of Israel is not a partisan issue.”

Why the FDA Should be Charged with Murder

If you worked for a federal agency that was killing people at the rate of 100,000 a year, every year, like clockwork, and if you knew it, wouldn’t you feel compelled to say or do something about it?

At the FDA, which is, in fact, killing Americans at that rate, no one has ever felt the need to step forward and speak up.

Let’s shift the venue and ask the same question. If you were a medical reporter for a major media outlet in the US, and you knew the above fact, wouldn’t you make it a priority to say something, write something, do something?

House votes to repeal, replace Obamacare

The House voted largely along party lines Tuesday to repeal and replace Obamacare, with Republicans vowing to satisfy midterm voters who demanded a new path forward while Democrats taunted their rivals as oblivious to the plight of the uninsured.

The 239-186 vote marked the Republican-majority Congress’ first swipe at the entire health law, cuing up a likely filibuster from Senate Democrats before President Obama can wield his veto pen.

Larry Silverstein files Billion $ lawsuit against Airliners

The developer rebuilding the World Trade Center in New York told a
federal appeals court that he is entitled to recoup billions of dollars
from two airlines, even though he has already collected USD$4 billion in
insurance money for the September 11, 2001, attacks that destroyed the
site.

Lawyers for Larry Silverstein and his World Trade Center Properties
urged the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals in New York to overturn a
lower court ruling barring him from pursuing damages against United
Continental Holdings and American Airlines Group, whose planes crashed
into the twin towers.

But the airlines said the insurance money was more than enough to
compensate Silverstein for the fair market value of the lease he held
for the property.

JON STEWART’S FAVOURITE GOVERNOR IN ACTION

There is nothing more sacrilegious than a sitting New Jersey governor cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, and when Chris Christie did such an evil thing last month, a Jersey radio host got his revenge. During 94WIP’s annual Wing Bowl, The Morning Show‘s Angelo Cataldi released video from a June interview his show did with Christie, in which the governor completely missed his chair and fell flat onto his backside.

According to 94WIP, Cataldi was “appalled” by Christie’s Judasing of the Dallas Cowboys, and took it one step further during Wing Bowl by bringing in a Christie lookalike, as well as a doppelganger of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

‘Secret’ Gold Repatriation: The Banksters’ Newest Bullion Scam

As with most of the One Bank’s self-created economic “crises”; its preferred method of dealing with this problem has been to pretend it didn’t exist. But (as the banksters are now discovering) such self-delusion does not suffice when the nations who believe that the U.S. government is storing gold on their behalf ask that this “gold” be returned to them.

First it was Germany, and then it was Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, and France. All of these nations have either made formal requests or statements of intention that they want their gold. It was the first (and most-public) of these “gold repatriations” which exposed the obvious fact that the gold supposedly stored in the U.S. wasn’t there.

Here's Some Frightening Honesty (Courtesy Of The US Congress)

A member of my staff caught an obscure resolution that was introduced in the US House of Representatives last week—Resolution no. 41.

The fact that there was essentially no coverage of this Resolution really shows how the mainstream media is completely turning a blind eye to the true fiscal situation of the United States of America.

The entire point of the resolution is to say that the federal government is broke.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Resolution 41 admits the federal Government is basically broke, and recommends that the federal Government which allowed (even encouraged) the 2008 mortgage-backed securities fraud that emptied state and privater pension funds not be responsible for bailing them out, and that these defunded pension funds "restructure" to reduce costs (meaning cheat the people dependent on those pensions).

The rise of 'pro-Israelism' in American politics

The US-Israel special relationship is acknowledged universally as the unswayable force of politics in the Middle East. The theme is confessed ritually by every US president and Israeli prime minister, who have all claimed, more or less, that "the bond between Israel and the United States is rooted in more than our shared national interests; it's rooted in the shared values and shared stories of our people."

Commitment to this article of faith is a litmus test for anyone hoping to exercise power in American politics. Minor deviations can and do have major political consequences, a fact acknowledged last year by the conservative American commentator Tom Friedman, who disclosed that the first President Bush paid a massive political price for standing up to Israel back in 1990; Bush asserted US foreign policy towards Israeli settlements by conditioning $10 billion worth of loan guarantees on a total cessation of settlement construction. He was not re-elected for a second term.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There were other factors at work in that election. George H. W. Bush was in serious trouble. He had been able to hold the investigation into Iran-Contra at a distance, but he also knew that he would not be able to hold off the White House connection for another four years. So he arranged for the White House to go to the one Democrat he knew would keep the lid on the secret, then Democratic Governor of the state that was the US end of the guns and drugs pipeline, Bill Clinton.

But pissing off Israel didn't help.

John McCain stands by Sarah Palin

Sen. John McCain says Sarah Palin "still has a strong base of support" if she decides to seek the Republicans' 2016 presidential nomination.

McCain must have a serious case of the hots for Sarah to stand by her today, since she is the main reason he lost his campaign in 2008.

Harvard Doesn't Want to Give Money Back from Pedophile Billionaire Jeffrey Epstein

The recipient of one of the largest donations from Epstein has been Harvard, to which Epstein pledged $30 million in 2003, according to news reports at the time. By 2006, when charges against Epstein were made public in Florida, he had fulfilled at least $6.5 million of that pledge, the reports said. Four Corners of Fascism

In one corner we have the criminal banksters who, in concert with the criminal ruling class, have created policies that allow them to steal as much of our wealth as can be done until enough people cry foul. In another corner we have the criminal, treasonous NSA, once again working in concert with the criminal ruling class to steal all of our personal information and create a profile of our lives to determine if we are guilty of some crime that has not yet been committed. In still another corner we have the local police, working in concert, not only with the ruling class but with the military industrial complex in order to ensure we tow the line and don’t fight back once enough of us have determined that we have had our fill. In the last corner are the doctors and insurance companies who, work in concert with the ruling class to keep us hooked on their drugs or sedated so that we are unable to rally against these other three.

Seems like a pattern going on there, or is it just me?

Yet another blow for child abuse inquiry after it's revealed that the Home Office coached 'independent' experts about how to answer 'difficult questions'

The troubled inquiry into historic child abuse is facing fresh criticism after it emerged that panel members were told what to say to MPs by a long-serving Home Office official.

Experts and abuse survivors were given a 23-page document advising them how to answer ‘difficult questions’ when they appeared before a high-profile committee, prompting fears that the huge Government-ordered investigation is not independent.

It can also be revealed that the woman in charge of administration for the inquiry was seconded from the Home Office, where she has worked for 36 years – even though the department is at the centre of many of the allegations of cover-ups and VIP paedophile rings.

Air Force investigate Major General 'who told officers that talking to members of Congress about A-10 attack aircraft was equivalent to TREASON'

The Air Force is probing allegations that a Major General told lower-ranking officers that talking to members of Congress about the capabilities of the A-10 attack aircraft is equivalent to treason.

The alleged comment by Maj. Gen. James Post, a prominent leader at the prestigious Air Combat Command, has stirred concern in Congress about the Air Force muzzling officers in violation of their legal rights.

Big Business “Regulators” and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP): Opening the Floodgates to Corporate Plunder

A new leak concerning the talks around the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) indicates that the floodgates could be opened even further for corporate influence. The leak has been analysed by the corporate watchdogs CEO and LobbyControl and shows that corporate influence on EU and US policies might dramatically increase via the chapter on so-called ‘regulatory cooperation’.

The leak of the EU draft negotiating proposal dated January 23rd makes unmistakably clear that the EU is seeking a very ambitious chapter that strengthens the role of business in future regulatory legislation possibly via a new institution, the Regulatory Cooperation Body (RCB). Its role would be to coordinate the process of regulatory coherence between the US and the EU and would effectively limit policy space and sideline the public and civil organisations.

The details of the pressure being exerted on victims have emerged as the Royal Commission into child sex abuse prepares to hold public hearings next week to examine the responses of Melbourne and Sydney's yeshivah centres to alleged offences dating back to the 1980s.

In one secret, legally recorded 2011 telephone conversation, prominent Melbourne criminal lawyer Alex Lewenberg tells a victim of St Kilda Yeshivah centre sex offender David Cyprys he should not have co-operated with police.

Americans' satisfaction with the federal government is at an all-time low

If you have to deal with the federal government - be it the seemingly innocuous Social Security Administration or the eternally-despised Treasury Department, home to the IRS - prepare to be even more annoyed than in the past.

According to a report released Tuesday by the American Customer Satisfaction Index, our satisfaction with the federal government has hit an all-time low (at least since the company began collecting data for this index in 2007). The federal government now scores a 64.4 out of 100 in terms of satisfaction.

Judge refuses to toss Rick Perry case on constitutional grounds

A Texas judge has refused to throw out a felony abuse-of-power case against former Gov. Rick Perry on constitutional grounds, ruling that the case against the possible 2016 presidential hopeful should continue.

District Judge Bert Richardson, who like Perry is a Republican, ruled Tuesday that the case should proceed.

Independents now outnumber Republicans, Democrats; Americans awaken to the two-party system scam

For years, they have been sought after by both major parties as the one political demographic that could swing national elections in their favor, and going forward into 2016 and beyond, voters who identify themselves as neither Republican nor Democrat, but as "independent," will become even more important.

That's because the number of independents has grown dramatically in recent years -- so much so that now they outnumber voters who describe themselves as belonging to one of the two primary parties. It's a sign, say political scientists, that more voters are becoming frustrated with a "two-party system" in which they see little difference between choices.

Is John Boehner a Traitor?

So, why is Boehner's invitation to Netanyahu such a big deal?

First off, it's a huge violation of protocol and massively disrespectful to President Obama and the authority of the executive branch.

It is completely unprecedented for the Speaker of the House, or any member of Congress, to invite a foreign leader to come to the US and speak to Congress without getting authorization and/or cooperation from the White House.

As Guy Ziv, a professor at American University who has studied US-Israeli relations told TPM, "It's unprecedented. It's hitting below the belt. It's taking partisanship to a whole new level."

By inviting Netanyahu to speak to Congress without the authority of the executive branch, Speaker Boehner is badly blurring the lines of national sovereignty, and again massively disrespecting typical protocol.

Gary Glitter claims he never abused young fans because he was too busy cleaning his wig

Gary Glitter has claimed he could not have abused two girls in his dressing room because he would have been too busy cleaning his wig.

The former rock singer said he rarely stayed backstage after shows because the German-bought hairpiece required an hour and a half's maintenance after every performance.

Glitter, 70, faces 10 charges relating to a string of alleged child sex offences committed at the height of his fame in the 1970s and 1980s.

Key defendant pleads guilty in HOA takeover scheme

Another key defendant pleaded guilty Tuesday in the scheme to take over and defraud Las Vegas-area homeowners associations.

Bail bondsman Charles McChesney, 49, who is not in custody, pleaded guilty to conspiracy and three wire fraud counts, all felonies. Federal prosecutors are recommending dismissing 11 other wire fraud counts against McChesney.

He is to be sentenced on July 20 by U.S. District Judge James Mahan.

Prosecutors have alleged that McChesney was a straw buyer and controlled HOA board members in the massive takeover conspiracy that occurred between 2003 and 2009. He admitted in his plea agreement that he also participated in dirty tricks to help elect board members who could be controlled by the conspirators.

Tell Congress not to attend Netanyahu’s speech

Join us in raising our voices to protest Netanyahu’s speech, not because it’s a partisan snub, nor because the date is close to the Israeli elections, but because Netanyahu is going to Washington to undermine the U.S. strategy of diplomacy with Iran.

Instead of letting diplomacy work, Netanyahu wants the U.S. to impose harsher sanctions on Iran, all but ensuring that talks collapse and increasing the risk of war.

Raise your voice now and tell Congress to boycott Netanyahu’s speech:

Sadly, a futile gesture. AIPAC owns the Congress, and any who dare not show up and give Netanyahu dozens of standing ovations will feel AIPAC's wrath in 2016!

Israel’s US envoy: PM’s planned Congress speech ‘a sacred duty’

Israel’s Ambassador to the US Ron Dermer defended on Sunday Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s planned speech before the US Congress on March 3, just two weeks before Israeli national elections, saying it was the prime minister’s “sacred duty” to present his stance on Iran — a stance sharply at odds with the Obama administration.

It Is Time For Iran To Tell The West ‘Goodbye’

From all appearances, the Obama regime’s negotiations with Iran, overseen by Russia, were on the verge of ending the contrived nuclear issue. An end to the confrontation is unacceptable to the Zionist Israeli government and to their neocon agents in America. The Republicans, a political party owned lock, stock, and barrel by the Israel Lobby, hastily invited Netanyahu, the crazed ruler of both Israel and America, to quickly come to tell the Republican Congress, which the insouciant American voters put in place, how to prohibit any accommodation with Iran.

Notary found dead in LV home was key witness in foreclosure fraud case

A notary public found dead at her Las Vegas home after missing sentencing on a misdemeanor charge would have been a key witness against two Southern California title officers accused of orchestrating a massive mortgage foreclosure "robo-signing" fraud scheme, a state prosecutor said Wednesday.

Tracy Lawrence, 43, had agreed to testify against Geraldine Ann Sheppard, 62, of Santa Ana, Calif., and Gary Randall Trafford, 49, of Irvine, Calif., in a case alleging that tens of thousands of fraudulent foreclosure documents had been filed in Las Vegas, said John Kelleher, a chief deputy Nevada attorney general.

Sheppard and Trafford are identified as officers in a publicly traded company, Lender Processing Services Inc., based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., that processes home repossessions for major banks across the country.

Robbery cuts into hours and credibility at 24/7 Private Vaults

The vault operation, which has touted its confidentiality and untraceable anonymity in local advertising, was the scene of a robbery and kidnapping at 5:15 a.m. on April 14. Metro police say three masked men entered the facility, restrained an employee, then popped open and emptied out an as yet undisclosed number of safe deposit boxes.

In an unintentionally humorous moment, a detective with Metro's Robbery Section is asking for assistance from the anonymous customers of the private vault business. While you might think people who went to all the trouble of paying for private lock boxes would want their prized possessions returned, something tells me not all will be interested in discussing their losses with members of law enforcement.

Color me skeptical, but I can't recall many legitimate reasons a person would want an anonymous lock box with 24-hour access. Gamblers, for instance, have easy access to casino lock boxes.

Evidence Grows Showing Wall Street as a Negative Economic Force

Clifton has a theory on why America’s crisis in creating new businesses is a well-kept secret. He writes:

“My hunch is that no one talks about the birth and death rates of American business because Wall Street and the White House, no matter which party occupies the latter, are two gigantic institutions of persuasion. The White House needs to keep you in the game because their political party needs your vote. Wall Street needs the stock market to boom, even if that boom is fueled by illusion.”

Trouble in GOP ranks kills votes on border and abortion bills

Facing a rebellion in their own ranks, House Republican leaders scrapped their plans to vote this week on their first border security bill of the new Congress, blaming the weather for the delay but buying themselves time to try to stiffen the bill and make it more palatable to conservatives.

It’s the second bill in as many weeks that Republican leaders have had to pull after internal opposition. Last week the GOP scrapped a bill to ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, acting the night before the March for Life, after realizing that some female Republican House members had concerns.

Benzer pleads guilty in massive Las Vegas Valley HOA scheme

Benzer, who once owned Silver Lining construction, and 10 others were indicted in the scheme in January 2013, and several months later Benzer was indicted again on charges of evading $1.2 million in personal and company taxes. The charges were related to more than $7 million Benzer and his company obtained from a fraudulent contract with the Vistana condominium development to do construction defect work.

Five of the 10 defendants charged in the first indictment with Benzer, including attorney Barry Levinson, previously pleaded guilty and are waiting to be sentenced.

The sweeping investigation that led to the indictments, spearheaded by the Justice Department’s Fraud Section in Washington, is thought to be the largest public corruption case federal authorities have brought in Southern Nevada. The FBI, Las Vegas police and IRS all played key roles in the long-running investigation.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a former officer with the Israeli special forces, while not mentioning names left the impression he was referring to his controversial upcoming visit to the United States.

Probably, the biggest on earth; most certainly the one with the highest profile. And just like a favorite son of someone very, very powerful, Bibi seems determined to prove that he can do just about anything he wants.

But his latest petulant misstep in inviting himself to address the US congress, without giving notice to the president, has really earned him his stripes and brought a barrage of condemnation on his head, from all corners of the internet. Negative Interest: A ticking time bomb

Many Americans have been predicting this for well over a decade, but it appears the big axe is finally set to swing at America. Amidst a spate of global currency moves causing seismic shifts in global assets, military conflicts are fast enveloping the planet. An increasingly dysfunctional US government struggles over war with Iran, which incidentally just dumped the dollar, in a domestic environment that is steeped in racism, police brutality and irrational fear without end. Our water supply is being swiftly contaminated, all over the country, by fracking. And above all, corruption and lies are being exposed on the internet at breakneck speed, making it painfully obvious, to even the most political clueless, that something terribly wrong is about to happen.

As 2016 race begins, GOP faces its Palin problem

As a chance to evaluate possible 2016 Republican presidential candidates, the Freedom Summit here in Des Moines was a solid success. Several potential candidates — Scott Walker, Ted Cruz, Chris Christie, and a few others — left the 10-hour political marathon with their prospects undeniably enhanced.

All that was good news for Republicans. But at the same time, more than a few GOP loyalists came away shaking their heads at the performance of a party star, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, whose long, rambling, and at times barely coherent speech left some wondering what role she should play in Republican politics as the 2016 race begins in earnest.

The Death of Vincent Foster

This is the story that nobody dares touch. This is the story that ended my career in Hollywood back in 1994.

Despite having reported the discovery of Dr. Haut's signed report confirming the existence of a second wound to Vincent Foster's neck, radio host Rush Limbaugh to this very day refers to Vincent Foster's death as a suicide.

Even Matt Drudge, when presented with the FBI records proving that the FBI fraudulently manufactured Lisa Foster's recognition of the gun found at Fort Marcy Park, refused to get involved, opting instead for a story accusing Sidney Blumenthal of domestic violence (for which Drudge was then sued and made famous).

Webmaster's Commentary:

Everyone is focusing on Bill Clinton's wild parties with Jeff Epstein and speculating on how this might deter Hillary from running in 2016.

Quite the contrary, yet another sex scandal for Bill will actually HELP Hillary because she will win sympathy from the female voters by playing the wronged woman, and more importantly, focusing on Bill's sexcapades distracts from the real Hillary scandals that could end her career such as the cattle futures trades, Travel office firings, herself being fired from the Watergate committee, being photographed with a known cocaine smuggler in front of the White House Christmas Tree, and of course, the murder of Vince Foster!

Special Report: Notes on Another Clinton Scandal - Was Vince Foster Killed?

We encountered one of those while on a road trip through Arkansas – and stopping off in Hope. It is not only the famed birthplace of former president Bill Clinton, as well as former governor Mike Huckabee, it is also the hometown and burial ground of Vince Foster, a man who was childhood neighbors with Bill, partner at the Rose Law Firm with Hillary, and as deputy legal council for the White House, one of the closest keepers of the Clinton Administration’s most personal secrets.

Early into the first term, when the Clintons found themselves already embroiled in scandals including those surrounding the Travel Staff and Whitewater financial investigations, Vince Foster was found dead in Fort Darcy Park, officially ruled to be a suicide – but suggesting much more.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Vince Foster case was the reason I lost my career in Hollywood and was thrust into a career as a truth activist over twenty years ago.

'The man can only ride you when your back is bent': Sarah Palin 'rambles incoherently' in Iowa after teleprompter freezes... a day after she declared an interest in 2016 run

Republican firebrand Sarah Palin is rarely at a loss for words but became unmoored on Saturday in Iowa after her teleprompter froze and left her without portions of her prepared speech.

The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee flipped through a binder of notes and strung together a series of one-liners – and some of them made little sense.

'The man can only ride you when your back is bent,' she said, as audience members looked at each other quizzically.

'So strengthen it! Then the man can't ride you, America won't get taken for a ride, because so much is at stake.'

Addressing the controversy over the virtues of the late Navy SEAL Chris Kyle and the 'American Sniper' film that tells his life story, she shouted: “Screw the left in Hollywood!'

Bill Maher advises billionaires on which GOP ‘corporate a*s-lickers’ they should support

Bill Maher closed out Real Time on Friday with a “buyers’ guide” for any billionaires looking to support one of the nine prospective Republican presidential contenders.

“The field is more crowded at an earlier time than ever because each of these corporate a*s-lickers wants to sign up mega-rich donors like Sheldon Adelson before one of the other guys in the pack blows him first,” Maher explained, before presenting the upside and downside to each candidate.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As a centerist progressive, I have a "hug and a punch" relationship with Maher's work, and I did see this bit last night, and it was funny.

However, this segment did an interesting job of exposing Maher's
pathological myopia, which means he is completely blind to the corruption in the party he prefers; and that, intellectually, is a very dangerous place to be.

His absolute darling, Hillary Clinton, is no less staunchly supported by Wall Street and the corporate monied interests than is Barak Obama, his faux populism notwithstanding. Republicans have no exclusive claim here to want as much money as possible from their corporate masters in order to win in 2016 than the Democrats.

As reported last December at Salon.com:

Few political families are closer to Wall Street than the Clintons. Their family foundation has raised millions from financiers and the foundations of big banks, and recently held its annual briefing for donors in the auditorium of Goldman Sachs’s headquarters in Manhattan. Major financial firms are stocked with Clinton alumni. And the Clintons often interact with the titans of finance on the Manhattan charity circuit and during their vacations in the Hamptons. Last month, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton sat at a table with Hamilton E. James, president of the Blackstone Group, and mingled with the billionaire David H. Koch at a benefit for the Wildlife Conservation Society. I’m thinking of Hillary also using the Obama playbook, early-on posturing as some kind of a PRAGMATIC “community organizer” bridge builder between the classes seeking out WIN/WIN solutions. In Obama’s case it turned out to be "community organizing" the Dem Party leadership class with the BIG MONEY ELITE class, and giving the rest of the population a rhetorical snow-job which many still haven’t managed to dig themselves out of into real, justified angry consciousness. Since leaving her position as Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton has enjoyed phenomenally well paying speaking engagements such as the ones for Goldman Sachs. Goldman also generously has been using Bill Clinton on its speech circuit. Last month, Hillary Clinton also was pitching the trustworthiness of the biotech industry at their national conference. According to Queally she offered the biotech execs “political advice on how to overcome public opposition to the use of genetically-modified seeds and industrial-scale, chemical-based agriculture.”

To characterise all Republicans as corporate sycophants, eagerly ready to carry out the agenda of their corporate masters, who have purchased their allegiance, and not see Hillary Clinton in precisely the same light, given her and Bill Clinton's strong corporate ties, is completely intellectually dishonest.

So, Bill Maher, aye, there's the rub: no matter who America elects for President in 2016, We the People are screwed.

This is because no matter who gets elected to high office in this country, they are still beholden to the same set of Corporate donors, who put them in office, to carry out their agenda. This is no longer a country of We the People; but Those, the Corporations. And these are the entities which are really crafting foreign and domestic policies. We the people have become expendable.
