Arkansas Connections: The media tried to turn the Clinton story into Camelot II

When Bill Clinton is 7, his family moves from Hope, Arkansas, to the long-time mob resort of Hot Springs, AR. Here Al Capone is said to have had permanent rights to suite 443 of the Arlington Hotel. Clinton’s stepfather is a gun-brandishing, alcoholic who loses his Buick franchise through mismanagement and his own pilfering. He physically abuses his family, including the young Bill.

UN Official Breaks Down Over Shelled Gaza School

UN official Chris Gunness could not contain his grief while on camera with Al Jazeera Arabic.

The interviewer appears to thank him for appearing, upon which Gunness breaks down and weeps.

Joe Scarborough had harsh words for Israel’s actions in Gaza, saying the country was engaging in “indiscriminate” killing.

“This is asinine,” said the MSNBC host and former Republican congressman. “This continued killing of women and children in a way that appears to be indiscriminate is asinine.”

Is Washington Coming To Its Senses? — Paul Craig Roberts

There is much speculation about US Secretary of State John Kerry’s rush visit to Russia in the wake of Russia’s successful Victory Day celebration on May 9. On May 11, Kerry, who was snubbing Russia on the 9th, was on his way to Russia, and Putin consented to see him on May 12.

As time passes we will find out why Kerry was snubbing Putin on May 9 and 3 days later was criticizing Washington’s puppet regime in Ukraine. For what is known at this time, a possible explanation is that Washington is coming to its senses.

Conservatives have 'zero tolerance' for protest of Israeli apartheid? Protest must be powerful!

The CBC's recent revelation that Conservative Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney has called for "zero tolerance" of criticism of Israel and that Canadian hate laws could be applied to those campaigning for BDS -- Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions -- against Israel is repugnant enough. But the truly disturbing irony in this outrageous declaration is that the more extreme the Israeli government becomes, the more illegal settlements it builds, the more explicit its open contempt for world opinion and the more outrageous Netanyahu's statements, the stronger is the support from the Harper government. It raises the question: is there any action, including the actual expulsion of Palestinians from Israel and the Occupied Territories that Harper would not support?

Clintons Earned $30 Million in 16 Months, Report Shows

Hillary Rodham Clinton and her husband made at least $30 million over the last 16 months, mainly from giving paid speeches to corporations, banks and other organizations, according to financial disclosure forms filed with federal elections officials on Friday.

The sum, which makes Mrs. Clinton among the wealthiest of the 2016 presidential candidates, could create challenges for the former secretary of state as she tries to cast herself as a champion of everyday Americans in an era of income inequality.

The Secret Fed Paper That Advocated a "Carry Tax" on All Physical Cash

Many commentators have noted that mainstream economists are calling to do away with cash entirely.

It would be easy to scoff at these proposals as completely insane if the Fed hadn’t published a paper back in 1999 suggesting the implementation of a “carry tax” or taxing actual physical cash using an expiration date if depositors aren’t willing to spend the money.

Rebels in the Elite - Cracks in the Facade

Intra-elite debate and struggles on major issues are evident in three recent and important books:

-Stephen Walt’s and John Mearsheimer’s Israel Lobby (2007), on Jewish and neoconservative influence in the United States’ foreign policy.
-Glenn Greenwald’s No Place to Hide (2014) on the Surveillance State.
-Thomas Piketty’s Capital in the Twenty-First Century (2014) on rising inequality.

Each of these books represents broader intellectual and cultural movements, and debate among American and Western elites on how to move forward. The conflicts are quite real.

How Congress Quietly Overhauled Its Insider-Trading Law

A year ago, President Obama signed the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act into law at a celebratory ceremony attended by a bipartisan cast of lawmakers.

"I want to thank all the members of Congress who came together and worked to get this done," he said.

The law wouldn't just outlaw trading on nonpublic information by members of Congress, the executive branch and their staffs. It would greatly expand financial disclosures and make all of the data searchable so insider trading and conflicts of interest would be easier to detect.

But on Monday, when the president signed a bill reversing big pieces of the law, the emailed announcement was one sentence long. There was no fanfare last week either, when the Senate and then the House passed the bill in largely empty chambers using a fast-track procedure known as unanimous consent.

The Palestinian Nakba; A Nucleus of Nationwide Arab Nakba

Each year on May 15th the Palestinians across the world commemorate “Al Nakba Day”. This year it is the 67th commemoration. Al Nakba means the catastrophe, and refers to the Zionist occupation of Palestine, the numerous massacres they perpetrated against Palestinians, the ethnic cleansing, the dispossession, the total destruction of hundreds of Palestinian communities, the forced expulsion, the supplanting of Zionist Jews in place of indigenous Palestinians and the creation of the terrorist entity of Israel that is still spreading havoc, death and destruction in the whole Middle East.

SHOCK CLAIM: Hillary Clinton Forces Campaign Parody Taken Down

The bumper sticker was offered by Marinka Peschmann, an author who published two investigative books about the Clintons: The Whistleblower: How the Clinton White House Stayed in Power to Reemerge in the Obama White House and on the World Stage, and Following Orders: The Death of Vince Foster, Clinton White House Lawyer.

Peschmann recently posted a notice to her site:

“Note: Take down! This bumpersticker is no longer available. Hillary for America’s legal department lodged an intellectual property right’s holder trademark complaint against HILLPoP2016’s latest styles. While HILLPoP2016 thinks our H is different (the arrow faces left and is orange for instance), one must pick their battles. Reply to a Reader’s Complaint about Anti-American Pro-Russian Bias

I recently received a sharp complaint from a reader about an assumed anti-American pro-Russian bias in my writings. The complaint gives a very good opportunity to address questions on the minds of many in the West confused by an extremely biased pro-Washington, anti-Russian bias in mainstream media coverage of Ukraine and Russia as the new demon to be fought.

First, Mr. Schneider, let me say I am an American and I am definitely not anti-American. I love my country and my fellow Americans.

What I do not love is the clique of very rich who—especially over the past three decades since the time of Reagan and Bush Senior—have step-by-step subverted the American Constitution and its guarantees of citizen rights, have destroyed prudent regulation of the health and safety of American citizens by easing safety rules of the Environmental Protection Agency to benefit companies like DuPont or Monsanto at the expense of the public.

Aipac Wants Congress to Criminalize BDS

Of all the lame-brained, lumpen-brained, hare-brained schemes emanating from Aipac’s lobby shop, this is one of the truly lamest. As Israel forms the most dangerous, aggressive, racist government in its history, Aipac thought this was a good time to remind the American people of that by conniving to amend an already contentious fast-track trade bill with a new amendment that would criminalize BDS in the U.S.

How Israel wants to restart the war in the Levant

Far from admitting defeat, Benjamin Netanyahu is planning to sabotage the agreement between Washington and Teheran which is to be signed the 30th June 2015. In order to do so, he could restart the war in Syria. His idea is to continue the work already accomplished by the Islamic Emirate in Iraq, Syria, Libya and Yemen, by applying the Wright plan and creating an independent pseudo-Kurdistan straddling Iraq and Syria.

American Natives Ask UN to End U.S. “Occupation”

Admittedly, the way our government has mistreated the Indians, from murder and smallpox blankets to reservations to sterilizing their women in mass in the last century are horrible, evil crimes against humanity. The United States of Injustice

None whatever exists. Guilt by accusation suffices for anyone Washington wants convicted.

Innocence is no defense. Juries are pressured to convict. Evidence when absent is invented. Lack of proof doesn't matter.

Thousands of political prisoners languish in America's gulag - at home and abroad. Thousands more are imprisoned for misdemeanors too minor to matter - ones for which just societies wouldn't tolerate incarceration.

Éric Zemmour: SOS Racisme, a case study in anti-nationalist Jewish activism

Zemmour observes that “the Jewish far-left, from the Trotskyite movements to the UEJF [Jewish student union], was at the reins” of SOS Racisme, a major “anti-racist” group. In alliance with the institutional left, SOS Racisme worked to divide the right-wing vote, to politically isolate nationalist parties (above all the Front National), to censor nationalist discourse, and to hijack incipient Black/Arab movements. Zemmour argues that SOS Racisme thus “sapped the foundations of the French nation.”

How to fight western propaganda

First they manufacture monstrous lies, and then they tell us that we should be objective!

I truly believe that there is not much time for “objectivity” in any battle, including those ideological ones, especially when these are battles for the survival of humanity!

I strongly believe no! We are obliged to fight those who are burning our dwellings, to hit with full force those who are attempting to rape our women, and to confront fire with fire when innocent beings are slaughtered.

The former Florida governor, often regarded as the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination, managed over an extraordinary 72 hours to demonstrate that he is not anything like his older brother, the former president.
